This will remain my favorite purple shampoo! I love this stuff. I have medium/light(ish) blonde hair that tends to get brassy quick. I read the reviews on Amazon first before purchasing and fell in love. This shampoo is a deep deep purple, and it will stain your hands if you don't rinse them off. First hand experience here *pun intended* The smell of it wasn't gross like some other brands (looking at you Clairol Shimmer Lights). It actually will turn your hair ashy! I left this stuff on for ten minutes and I had that beautiful ash (almost purple tone) to it, which I don't mind. Less time left on, you'll still see results. This shampoo is amazing. Ive recently bleached my own hair and then had highlights and still had a very yellow colour due to my hair being box dyed brown for so long. I tried toners I tried other purple shampoos but nothing worked. I tried this and the first time the difference was amazing. I used it again yesterday and its even better. My hair is no longer yellow. It does dry hair up like most of these things but Ive been going through a process with other well known repairing products which means Its cancelling out the dryness from using this. The product is very purple And like others say it does stain your hands but Ive found after standing in the shower while the shampoo is on I dont really notice it on my hands anymore once Im done. I try to leave on for about 5 minutes but havent timed it so not sure. Put it this way it doesnt need long. No need to walk around the house for an hour wrapper in cling film to let it process. So my hair was damaged from bad salon experience and left there with blonde hair alright but also alotta my hair falling out too…. More than I should’ve had. I’ve had it done before I know what’s normal and not for this process but it Has taken me months and months to regain some of the structure and strength back but only from using products like this. I have huge blonde hair care regiment but recently was sent this samples from Pinchme.com and I fell in love with this product the moroccanoil blonde perfecting shampoo and conditioner color care. I could tell after one use the different in my strands as far as they felt fuller softer and a lot stronger too. I have already purchased my own and is in its way in the mail as we speak. But I can’t say enough about the shampoo seriously the strength added to my hair after using and the toning feature was amazing. I have different depths of blonde and I felt that this made those lighter money pieces that perfect icy I’ve been looking for + strengthening in other product and only found here. Others I have to use separate product .. with moraccanoil u get it all in one tube!! Smell is beautiful the product color is rich purple and it won’t leave ur hair heavy or with residue. But clean and healthy feeling. I used as shampoo then rinsed … swueeze out all water from hair with hands and reapply from front hair line back to ur ends and massage thru without sudsing up the product and leave set for 10/15 minutes depending on how porous ur hair is. (Do this for more toning effect) Mines was needing toned again and is pretty porous so I left in longer… but not too long. Anyhow I’d recommend to anyone who has chemically treated and or damaged hair needing give it some TLC. Price is fair considering other brand and they dint work as well as this one trust me.. I think this is the combo for me! Today is my first day using the Moroccanoil Purple Shampoo and the Moroccanoil Purple Conditioner, and here's my thoughts: Both the shampoo and conditioner have a rich purple color, which is nice since most conditioners I've tried in the past are much lighter in color compared to their shampoo counterpart. Both smell really nice, too. I left the shampoo in for about 5 minutes, rinsed, and then I left the conditioner in for probably 5+ minutes before I rinsed with cold water. This is the best toning combination I've ever tried. After one use, I can definitely tell the difference in less brassiness. I wouldn't recommend leaving both products in as long as I did, however – I purposely did so to see if I could get a dramatic result, and a few strands have a very light violet/gray tone to them, which I love! I will definitely be buying both the shampoo and conditioner soon since I think both will help keep my hair healthy and a nice shade of blondechopper923
It has got rich, creamy and lathering texture, don’t need to use a lot of product and it lathers through the hair well. The colour is brightly deep purple and pigmented. The scent feels a bit strong during washing but after washing and through the day hair smell nice, refreshed and fragrance is mild. After washing hair is easy to brush but once hair is dry combing is a bit harder, hair feels dry and like straws therefore it causes some hair breakage. There is much difference in hair tone, hair looks much brighter, shiner, radiant, lighter and improved in colour. On the second day hair still feels clean and fresh in scent, however I have noticed that this shampoo dries out hair and strips off it’s natural moisture. Another minus for this product that it stains under nails and some dry skin areas which takes time to wash off. I would not use this product frequently but occasionally (once a week or once in two weeks). But I would definitely recommend for colour improvement, brightening and lightening dullness in colour.irina.g

I received this product in exchange for a review. This product works pretty well but not out of the ballpark amazing. I am 6 months pregnant right now and currently have a hard time keeping up on my platinum blonde hair. That being said thai product is pretty concentrated and does it's job pretty well for the ends of my hair that are still very much blonde. I really don't like the smell of this shampoo I think it is overwhelmingly resemblance of being in a salon and am pretty glad the scent does not continue far beyond the rinse. As for if it improved my hair structure I would say I didn't see any improvement there at all but I still have a full bottle despite using it daily. The yellow tone though is pretty much gone though. I know the going trend is purple/grey platinum blonde, which I don't think this would be the best for, but if u want to keep your warmth without being brassy, this works better than any purple shampoos I've used. I have a lot of Irish heritage, pale skin and eyes, lots of light freckling in sun touched spots and firey red and gold inside my naturally brown follicles that shines very brightly in sun light. The warmth has become more pronounced with age and even the stripes of brunette that are left untouched after doing lightening balayage are a redening chestnut/auburn. the warm blonde really compliments my coloring so I'm not complaining, I just don't want it to be too yellow or too brassy. all of the other purple shampoos I have tried made my hair look almost green, even redken which I read was specifically recommended by experts for warm blondes, and it didn't matter how quick I rinsed it out after applying,, it clashed with my hair coloring so badly.. I hated it. I was so thrilled to try this and find it actually worked perfectly, no brassy-ness or ugly yellow, just perfectly golden honey warm blonde and auburn/chestnut. Out of 3 blonde shampoos, this is honestly the best I've tried. I was set on the Paul Mitchell violet shampoos when I began highlighting my hair, once I went full platinum I stocked up on the Not Your Mother's blonde shampoo, but none really seemed to keep my color 'natural' looking or vibrant. I actually received 2 sample bottles of this from Ulta's beauty bag promotion, and I am stretching it out as far as I can! I've actually found that I really do *not* want to go back to the PM or Not Your Mother's products after this, they simply don't cut it. Being platinum requires a lot of upkeep and I believe this particular brand does deliver the "perfect blonde". My hair, with other products, tends to fade to a yellowish uneven looking blonde after several months, something I'm not satisfied with; using this product I noticed an immediate result and my hair looked more ashy after wash rather than a yellow or gold. It keeps my platinum looking vibrant but I would NOT recommend for daily use! I try to shower every 3 days so I don't strip the color from my hair, and use this every other wash. Be sure to actually leave the product on your hair for the allotted time as it actually does need the time to absorb. Beware! It WILL tint your hands! I used a bit too much one wash and it also left a purple tint in a few spots on my hair, however this was not a permanent nor lasting effect. To deter from the purple, I, like other users, mix this in with my daily shampoo to create a lather. I used the product initially like the bottle says, lather and then rinse. However that was not long enough. I don't have super yellow hair to be honest. Its a pretty dull blonde but still super blonde. I wanted a more ashy, calm blonde, whatever that means. Anyway i found what worked for me after (three times!) was leaving it in 10 minutes. I honestly don't know if the product works because I had to re-condition my hair with another product to try to get the awful smell out of my hair. The fragrance smells like old man/ dead animal. It was not designed for a woman who is the main user of this product. Maybe a few men might like the old man / dead animal smell, but it is not marketed for men. I've been bleaching my hairs for years and have tried countless brands of purple shampoo. I've been told by my hairdresser that sulfates strip toner and to avoid shampoos with that ingredient. I noticed this shampoo had sulfates but I went ahead and tried it anyway because of all the good reviews. I've used it 3 times since my last bleach and tone, and my hair is A LOT more yellow than my appointment. I noticed after the first wash that my hair looked a little worse but I decided to try to keep using it and my toner literally vanished before my eyes. I definitely recommend a shampoo without sulfates (Joico is one example). This shampoo also dries out your hair causing it to build up grease not even 24 hours after showering. Made my hair nice when applied, thought everything was great. Beautiful lather….. then I wash it out. My hair felt so gummy it literally scared me. The product didn't really do anything for my hair. Will be returning. I have used the "Total Results So Silver Triple Power Hair Mask". It works great didn't dry my hair out at all. I try to stay away from Parabens, Silicones & Sulfates. Received the matrix Unbreak My Blonde Sulfate-Free Strengthening Shampoo as part of the trial and immediately loved the slimline packaging. The beautiful purple hued bottles look great in my shower. The smell is subtle and citrus; very refreshing without being overpowering. The shampoo comes out of the bottle easily and is quite thick in texture and I used about 1.5x the recommended amount for my fairly long hair. Although a thick formula, the product spreads easily and you get the feeling like it has reached every strand of hair, which I find not all shampoos do unless you use excessive amounts. After my initial wash, I didn’t notice any differences and felt my hair didn’t last as long as usual. However, with my subsequent uses, I can definitely get a few days out my hair. I’ve noticed that my hair feels soft to touch, and in particular, my ends seem brighter. Overall, my hair feels noticeably hydrated and shinier. The product warns of increased skin sensitivity, but I haven’t noticed anything during my use; I used this product alongside the conditioner and the leave in treatment. My hair is fine, wavy, 6 month old balayage on the lengths with a very oily sensitive scalp that I need to wash daily. I've been using the shampoo, conditioner and Leave in treatment on and off for the past 2 weeks to see how it slots into my routine. I have to say I quite like it, the results of "unbreaking my hair" were not dramatic but it did take the crispy feeling from the ends of my hair down a notch. The conditioner is a thick consistency which smooths lovely over the hair. I was expecting it to be more conditioning from the claims, but it did the job. The scent of the product is hard to describe, kind of perfumey but not strong, with hints of a sweet lemon. It is quite subtle and you can not smell it for very long, which I like in a product. The packaging is a gorgeous purple shade and the slim bottles fit perfectly in my shower caddy, and its easily dispensed. There is a warning on the label for sunburn as the product contains AHAs, so that is something to consider especially in the summer if you are bad at applying body suncreens or burn easily. Would I purchase this product? As yet I'm undecided, I haven't seen the amazing results on my hair that I was expecting from the hype around citric acid hair products, and I have other conditioners that weigh my hair down less but are more moisturising. I bought this product with high hopes of improving the condition of my dyed blonde balayage hair before my next hairdresser's appointment. It wasn't in too bad of condition just a few split ends as I was due a trim but otherwise long and relatively healthy. I had used it for the first time and was underwhelmed, my hair felt a little dry afterwards but not awful, so I thought ill just leave the conditioner on a little longer next time. My gosh what a mistake that was my hair matted while wet in a way I've never seen it before, and it squeaked as I tried to brush it out. I'm still paying the price now my hair is in the worst condition it has ever been in! I got this product due to a lot of good reviews. I use professional purple shampoo but ran out so figured id give this a go. MISTAKE. After 3 uses my hair is falling out in huge clumps, like cleaning your hairbrush once a month clumps. It's horrible! The smell is so chemical smelling and when trying to wash it out my hair felt like straw and I couldn't even put my fingers through it!!! I had to add conditioner on top of the shampoo just to be able to break through and wash the shampoo out. Worst mistake and I'm taking it back to ulta. Why is this product even a best seller? Be careful and mindful when purchasing this do your research on the ingredients and what is used to make this product work as I wasn’t aware it would quit literally strip my hair of thousands of dollars worth of work away from my hair …. this product has like a lightning agent in it as it bleached my roots and made my hair super ugly …. and quit literally damaged your hair it did this in as little as 3 minutes for me … so be careful not sure who this product work for ? Or why or what it’s intent is ?? but I thought it was a toner but it does the opposite it like strips / bleached ur hair leaving more work to be done … and patches !! so for the past around 8 years I've been using Shimmer Lights, since everyone would recommend that to me. Recently I tried Matrix purple shampoo, which worked the same way as shimmer lights. Where if you leave it on too long, you get purple hair… and I thought that was the case with all purple shampoo. Until I watched a Brad Mondo video and he reviewed this shampoo and it looked great in the video. But was it in real life…? My hair is a little yellow too after the bleach, which the shimmer lights, would just turn it to purple, which I thought was better then yellow. Finally tried this shampoo, and it takes a couple uses, esp since I had tinted purple hair as well. But it became a nice white platinum color as stated. Which was super shocking to me, that it never left any tint of purple, no matter how long it was on for. Brad mondo, referred to the scent as candy, i would say it's more of a floral scent. Doesn't feel as damaging as shimmer lights either. And around the same price range too, which is nice. I will definitely be turning over to this shampoo from now onJillian

l thought l would try Garnier Fructis Color Shield Shampoo and Conditioner which is formulated for color-treated hair. l started using over a week ago and I’m just not liking it. For me, this product is an absolute winner. I have ashy highlights which just love love love to go yellow on me. In one shampoo, leaving it on for just one minute, it toned them down. By the second, leaving it on for two minutes, they're almost perfect. Next time, I will leave it on for the full three minutes, but I preferred to go slowly just in case my results were not as expected. My highlights look so good, it looks as though I went to the salon and got them toned. That is how good it is. A few tips for those who have complained about this shampoo. First, it is Sulfate free AND silicone free. It is a color toning shampoo, NOT a conditioning shampoo. I shampooed right before using it with Living Proof Restore, and then did a solid, good conditioning, my hair was left in great shape. It also lathered just fine. If you hair is full of silicone residue, then maybe this shampoo is not enough to remove it. If you are not used to a sulfate and silicone free shampoo, you may feel like your hair is straw, but honestly, it feels like many other sulfate and silicone free shampoos if you don't condition. If you want a conditioning type of product there are other purple shampoos and conditioners that promise more conditioning. I LIKE this one BECAUSE I can then continue to use my own conditioning regimen. Second, I wore gloves just to be sure the first time. No purple lingered on my hands at all, but, I was sure to rinse them off after applying and lathering and again after rinsing. I'm SO HAPPY I went through with buying this product. I was extremely hesitant after reading all the reviews about how it stained peoples hands/scalp, caused burns, and caused hair loss. The back of the bottle does recommend spot testing first to make sure you don't have a reaction, so if you're worried about that then definitely do a little test first. It did leave my hands a bit purple, but the purple washed off after the rest of my shower and it's definitely worth it for how good my hair looks now. I have not experienced any of the other symptoms, and this product has taken the gross yellow tone out of my bleached hair, and it looks like I just got it toned at the salon! It also looks and feels so incredibly healthy even though it has been bleached. I've already had people comment on how good and shiny it looks, and I've only used it twice. THE most effective toning shampoo I’ve ever tried! I am a big fan of [brand:olaplex] products (with the exception of and [brand:olaplex] No 6 Bond Smoother 100Ml). I’ve used multiple bottles of the [brand:olaplex] No 4 Bond Maintenancetm Shampoo Mini 33 Oz/ 100 Ml before, so I was excited to try this purple toning version. I use this as much normally would when on the shampoo step, maybe I let it sit a couple minutes more but does not take much time to make a difference in terms of neutralizing any warmth. I only shampoo my base and not the ends, rinsing the shampoo out is enough to cleanse my ends. My hair feels thoroughly cleansed, silky, and hydrated. This formula is gentle and does not make my hair dry or difficult to comb out. The formula is perfect thick and lathers very nicely. I would this this is most effective for level 9/10 blondes, but perhaps would neutralize subtly on darker levels. Be prepared to rinse your shower down bc you will get dark purple spatter from using. Redken products very rarely ever let me down. The much improved Blondage line took the place of the previous Blonde Idol line which did not lather very well but did neutralize brassiness just the same. The Blondage is less floral smelling than Blonde Idol but still has a clean scent to it that isn’t overwhelming or powerful to sensitive noses. I have tried every purple shampoo out there and most leave me disappointed at best. So, trying Redken Color Extend Blondage Color Depositing Shampoo I wasn't expecting too much to be honest. However, I got much more than expected when I recieved these items complimentary to try and review. First, it smells incredible! Secondly, it is extremely pigmented with a rich purple color that lathered up easily from the smallest amount, I really worked it in to my hair from the roots to the tips. I didn't use gloves during the application and my hands rinsed clean without staining. After a couple minutes I rinsed thoroughly and am amazed at the results from just one use. My hair is considerably less brassy from the first use, almost as if I had used a toner. I did tone my extensions with this shampoo mixed w a small bowl of water and they came out perfectly matching my hair, a cool ash blonde. I'm going to apply on dry hair tomorrow and let it set for 10 or 15 min to see if a more dramatic look can be achieved before washing out. I followed this with Redken Cat treatment and lastly Redken color extend blondage conditioner to leave my hair soft, smooth and #Redkenready. I tried this when I ran out of my normal shampoo and conditioner. I’m indifferent for a couple of reasons. First the pros are it smells great. My hair felt good and soft and the blonde looked great. The cons are I noticed more than normal hair loss with this shampoo. From other reviews I’ve read it’s happened to many others and I have sensitive skin and sometimes it would irritate me and sometimes it wouldn’t. Before finding about this product I had a hard time looking for a product that would help my oily and flaky scalp. I’ve used other brands and it has developed a build up on my scalp and it made it even more oily especially when I don’t wash my hair within 3 days. First time I’ve used this product I was surprised at how much you get just from a little pump! Do not use too much as it is foam! I feel like this product has changed a lot. What happened to the strong, beautiful Cote d'Azur scent? It used to smell so strongly that it would fill your whole bathroom with this gorgeous bergamot and musk aroma. It doesn't lather as well as it used to (even for a sulfate free shampoo); didn't feel like my hair was clean even after two rinses. I couldn't imagine using this if my hair was really oily. My hair was pretty smooth and my highlights looked a little brighter, but my hair was also very, very dry and lacked shine. The conditioner wasn't any better. First time trying a purple shampoo that is not from a professional beauty brand and I am pleased! The scent is very nice and leaves your hair smelling wonderful! The color of the shampoo is very dark purple and contains a lot of pigment, which I like because it makes me feel like the product works better at knocking out the brass. This lathered better than other purple shampoos that I have tried. I have only used once and I already saw a change in the tone of my hair. It definitely works! I will continue to use to see even better results. The good thing is this is way more reasonably priced than other well known brands! I also like how this made my hair soft and silky and did not dry it out like some other brass eliminating shampoos. It doesn’t seem to be as harsh on your hair and does not strip it. I received this product complimentary in a voxbox. I will say this product definitely works. However I have red hair not blonde. It did strip out some of the darker tones in my hair making it lighter (I didn’t hate the end result). This shampoo is not recommended for red hair especially red hair that is dyed. Although most red dyes have purple deposits and red deposits in them the purple cancels out the yellow/ golden tones. Overall the product did as it described it smells amazing and you do definitely get results from day one. I have rated this five stars as I continually rebut this product. It’s always In my bathroom. I have naturally blonde hair which I do have coloured every few months to lighten it a little and this really helps to re brighten my hair. I will say however that I have to change my shampoo and conditioner regularly as it almost stops working on my hair but I do always go back to this product however I only use this a few times a month, and it helps maintain not only my colour but doesn’t strip my hair and make it feel dry when washed. I also love the biotin and collagen shampoo/conditioner by OGX, these are great products which can be used daily without the overuse of chemicals that lost shampoos have in them.katie.p

I decided to try out this combo shampoo and conditioner and upon first and second use I was pretty impressed. I used them both the day after a partial highlight and found that it kept my hair light and soft which can be hard to accomplish the day after a highlight. Sometimes my hair would come out of the first at home wash fluffy and a little dry. With the product itself I'm happy with, however here are some issues: 1. If you keep the bottle standing upright the product can be hard to get to the top. Even shaking it multiple times only a portion of it gets comes to the cap. I found that I had to keep it sitting upside down in order not to sit in the shower shaking it for a minute or two. 2. If you keep the bottle upside down the product comes out of the cap from the back and the sides. Also, when you use it normally, a lot of the product gets caught in the cap when you open and close it. Outside of the issue with the packaging and the product being a little hard to get to the top, it's one that I would buy again and keep in the rotation.Ashley

Takes forever to wipe off my hands, can't imagine how much it's gunking up my hair. It does smell really nice, and it does smooth the hair down, but I don't believe it's helping make the hair healthier at all in the long run and might even be detrimental for dry curls like mine. 1 star for smell, 1 for absorption. I love using purple shampoos to keep my blonde bright between salon visits. I was gifted this product for free from the brand in exchange for my honest review. This product definitely helped brighten but I found it a little drying the first couple tries. I paired it with a heavier hair mask in other washes and that helped a little. I loved them scent of this, it lasted on my hair for a while and was nice a clean smelling. Overall a decent purple shampoo and I'd buy this line again.courtyyyy

After 2 months now of having used this shampoo I find my hair feeling weighed down and no longer has the shine it once did despite good rinsing technique. I have used this a few times when my split ends are cracking and I find myself picking them. After I use this my split ends are 90% gone and it feels so soft and nice! I can't stop running my hands through my hair. Best stuff I've used. I live in a dry climate with hard water and this is great for that because I use a lot of hydrating hair products and nothing has worked quite like this for the harsh weather and my dry hair!Megan
I love this hair mask! I tried going to a new hairstylist who destroyed my hair. She burned 6 inches off and my ends continued to break and fall off with the slightest touch. So I went back to my old stylist who recommended I use this. She told me to use it for 8 hours since my hair was so damaged. I used it twice in one week and my hair finally stopped breaking. This stuff saved my hair and it finally grew back thanks to this mask. It says to use 5 mins or 30 for extremely damaged hair twice a week or as needed but I still use it for hours. I either sleep with it on or just hang around the house with it wrapped in a towel. (Once a week because I only wash once or twice a week), My hair is naturally dark brown but I regularly bleach it platinum blonde and use heat often. This is what manages to keep my hair healthy through all of that. If you just need a little moisture you can do the shorter time but if you abuse your hair like me the extra hours are worth it! It washes right out and doesn’t leave my hair greasy. Smells great and it’s affordable. Not sure where everyone else that says it’s expensive is buying it but I’ve always paid about $15. I pick it up from Jcp salons or order it online from Jcp. Now I actually pay around $6 from a beauty store for cosmetologists. So that’s around what your salon is paying for it. Any salon should carry this in store and online and it shouldn’t be over $20. I love trying new masks but this one will always be a go to staple for me! Been using it for 8 years now.cassidy.h

Warning – Conditioner is a MUST with this shampoo! It really does clean your head and it kind of dries out my hair, but I love it. I have very fine, straight hair that has gotten thinner as I've gotten older. I do not color it or use any products and I rarely use a blow-dryer, so my hair is pretty healthy. My scalp is oily though so by the end of the day, my hair feels gross. This has helped me keep my hair feeling less greasy for longer. The smell is very light and refreshing, too. I follow this with the mint scalp conditioner by Matrix (just a schmear!) and my head feels better than it has in years!Erica
I've tried this product multiple times with no avail for my super oily scalp. It smells wonderful, isn't harsh, and cleanses great (initially). Within hours my roots are horribly oily, looks like I haven't washed my hair in days. Hubby loves it, but he has thick normal hair. I have tried so many different clarifying shampoos over the years. I have fine, thin, long hi-lighted blonde hair. I use 2 different leave in products for strengthening/conditioning/heat protectant. First off I thought this was like a thick lotion or cream and no, it is not.. so you’re gonna have to buy a squirt bottle or a mister of some type to go along with this product.  when you shake the bottle it sounds like water but giiiiirl it is not! I like this leave in conditioner it has a water like consistency. It has almost a fruity pineapple scent. It doesnt moisturize my hair but It is also an additional heat protection so it makes my life easier to not constantly try to buy a seperate heat protectant for styling. It doesnt do much hydration at all but it does the job for a tiny extra bit of moisture. If youre someone that has low perosity hair i don’t recommend as it doesnt have much hydration properties at all but maybe for someone who has an oily scalp and want a more lightweight product this may be the one for you. The packaging is great you can defiantly tell it’s a good quality product from that. The smell, can’t quite put my finger on what it reminds me of but it does smell good. I had a little staining to my hands but no where near as I have had with other products (Does say to wear gloves if you don’t want staining). Lathered up well and made my hair feel clean and fresh after. As for the colour it defiantly took some of the yellow tones out after one use. Think I will try leaving it on for a little longer as I usually do with other products. Also it being silicone free makes it a yes for me.Sam
I absolutely love this shampoo and I’m so glad I’ve found a shampoo that does as it says! This shampoo is very very pigmented, and because of that it does stain (fingers, hands, tiles, etc..) If you rinse it off immediately then it will wash off tiles but it can stain nails for a couple days. The first time I used it I left it on my hair for around 2 minutes and it did take away the yellow at my roots and left my hair almost white, but the 2nd time I used it, the shampoo left my hair grey in places after leaving it on for 5 minutes, so definitely be weary of times when applying. I don’t mind this, but I know others may not like this effect as much. This product absolutely blows others out of the water. I’ve used a lot of toners, toning shampoos etc and this one is the only one I’ve found that works so effectively in removing brassiness/yellow tones from bleached blonde hair. The price is fair for the quality of the product. I have long hair and reckon this bottle would last around 10 washes.Jade
I've tried lots of violet shampoo/conditioners to take out the brassiness of my blonde highlights. I discovered Fudge several years ago and it works wonders but it's sometimes hard to find in the USA. I prefer the shampoo over conditioner because I like my own conditioner for keeping my hair sleek and frizz-free. The key to this shampoo is to not leave it on too long…5 minutes is perfect to remove the brass without leaving your hair looking bluish/purple. Yes, your cuticles will turn purple right after rubbing it through your hair but if you use a fingernail brush and some body soap right away in the shower, it comes right now. I have naturally wavy, dry, and fine hair. Because life has been so busy the past year (earlier this year I had my 4th child), I have been neglecting my hair. I have been using inexpensive drugstore shampoo and it has unfortunately left my hair very dry and lackluster. I've noticed my hair has become "crispy" and almosty feels like rope. I was wondering if I needed to get a clarifying shampoo or professional moisturizing treatment. After just a few weeks of using Nexxus Hydra-Light shampoo, my hair has significantly improved. It is much softer, bouncier, and looks healthy. I no longer feel there is a waxy film on my hair from the cheap stuff. I've also noticed I have more volume, probably because my hair is more clean. I tried this shampoo looking for product that would add volume to my fine/medium density hair and because I heard great things. This shampoo made my hair feel like straw after; it was incredibly staticky, dull, and had absolutely no volume. I followed up with the conditioner, and it felt like I hadn't put conditioner in my hair at all. After doing some research, I found out why: This shampoo contains sodium laureth sulfate or sulfate. It is extremely drying and strips your hair of natural oils; however, the effects of sulfate can be negated with a conditioner that uses silicone (a synthetic oil that is bad for the environment as it does not break down). The matching conditioner does not have silicone to recoat your hair, leaving it dry and brittle from the damaging effects of the shampoo. Ideally, you don't want sulfate or silicone in your hair. I don't know why this line would tote not having silicone but then still use sulfate. It's just setting your hair up for damage. I thought I would add what I found for anyone considering using this line, especially if you have sensitive scalp/hair. I believe nexxus does have some sulfate free shampoos.MichelleK103

I was looking to use something better than my typical drugstore shampoo and had seen quite a few good reviews for this brand. After using it I noticed my hair felt gross, very heavy and greasy, but I assumed maybe I hadn't rinsed all the product out. Since then I have made sure to triple rinse my hair every wash to ensure that isn't the case but I still have the same results. It had become very frustrating especially because I spent so much on the shampoo and conditioner. I am noticing a lot more product buildup than I had before and will be trying something else. I've been trying to find the best hydrating shampoo and conditioner. Tried this one from the great things my coworkers at ulta said about it. However i felt like it was causing extreme hair loss. Around where my baby hairs used to be is nothing, and i feel like my hair line is receding after using the matching shampoo and conditioner for about a month. I am only 22 and feel like i should not be experiencing this much hair loss. My hair feels soft for about a day and then it's straight oily. I've been struggling with dry scalp for some time and tried so many different shampoos and nothing worked. My sister recommended this shampoo to me, she told me her hairstylist recommended it to her. I decided to try it out since I had nothing to loose.. I'm so glad I did because my dry scalp is so hydrated!!! My hair feel sooooooo soft and smooth and my hair is growing longer because I'm finally using the right shampoo for my hair.. it is pricy but when it come to my hair Being healthy i don't mind paying for it.
