I really wanted to love this conditioner. I am 39, with fine, curly 3A hair that is beginning to thin. I am transitioning to natural hair and have begun co-washing. Finding a growth stimulating conditioner that doesn’t require a shampoo is harder than you’d think! This conditioner ticked so many boxes. And it actually left my hair feeling wonderfully soft. Soft enough that I didn’t mind the slightly medicinal scent. Sadly, after only a couple of uses, my skin near the hairline, my back, and even my ears started to break out horribly. Tiny, itchy, bumpy acne so inflamed that I had to wear foundation for the first time in years and basically went into hiding. Even my ear LOBES broke out. I have always been sensitive to ingested biotin, being one of the unlucky few that gets terrible breakouts, but I thought using it topically might have a different reaction. And honestly, I’m not sure that it was even the biotin. All I know is the one con seriously outweighed all the pros I encountered. It gets two stars because I respected the ingredients, was reasonably priced, and actually did leave my hair feeling great. I sadly could not use it long enough to attest to the growth stimulation.
This shampoo and conditioner is amazing and making changes to my hair. I wash it twice, once to get the dirt etc, out then again so the shampoo can do its job also once a month i leave conditioner in for 20 mins with shower cap on for a deep treatment only been using a few weeks and hair transforming. In mature years so many changes to the hair but this product is solving a lot of problems especially thining due to less hormones. A permanent fixture in my cupboard. Expensive? yes of course!!! if you want the best you have to pay for it same as eveything in life "you only get what you pay for".
I’ve been using for only 3 weeks now, for hair loss, and am pleased with the quick results. There is less scalp showing which means less hair loss, more volume/bounce/shape, and my scalp and hair look and feel healthier and more attractive. The scent and feel is great too. One really upsetting detail – both times I’ve ordered, my bottles arrived with the caps open and product leaking everywhere. Not only messy, but expensive, because this means I never received full bottles. Please use tape to keep the caps shut so it stops opening and leaking in transit. This would be more fair to your customers who want to be loyal and continue ordering!

I was very disappointed I love this shampoo I have ordered it a couple other times. I did not know they had smaller bottles and I probably would have known by the price but it said $5 and something off that would be approximate price with that added on for the next size which is much larger. okay yeah I think it was costly for the size but the bottle that lid was not tight. is Ashley leaks out in a plastic bag thank goodness for that down to where the label starts. I don't remember if they had white protectors when you open the lid to pull off I can't remember that. I will not bother bringing it back I need some now. if there was something supposed to be over the top of that bottle, it is a little scary. I have experienced a trauma that has caused medical related hair loss too. I bought this shampoo, conditioner & hair tonic. I followed it exactly as indicated for 8wks. I have also been on a medical vitamin regiment. I reordered these 3 products for a second round. There was 1-2 weeks in between 1st & 2nd round. I do not know if these products alone or these products with the vitamin regiment is what is helping, but I can tell an improvement. My hair stylist has confirmed the same. I have been out of the 2nd round for 2-3 weeks. I am now ordering a 3rd round. I have remained on the vitamin regiment. My hair was coming out in handfuls before I started using this. I have only been using this shampoo and conditioner for about a month and I am a believer! I only lose a small (normal) amount of hair when I shower and I don't feel that it's falling out excessively during the day. The reviews are true about this leaving your hair greasy, but after a few weeks of use, my hair has adjusted and is no longer greasy. Take your time really washing your scalp and rinsing, just like your hairdresser would, and you'll be fine. I also switched to a Wet brush made for distributing oil and it has really helped make my hair shiny after using this shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is creamy in texture and quite strongly scented like tea tree which I love (but may not be everyone's cup of tea!). It helps clear build-up from my scalp, as promised and doesn't strip my hair color, although I do find it slightly drying – in itself not a problem as the conditioner used straight after balances out the effect. Usually I find it difficult to find an effective shampoo to clear build-up but this one actually does it, and as a bonus I also found it helps keep my scalp clear of the psoriasis that flares up every now and again, possibly due to the Tea tree. With regards to hair fall, I can't say I noticed any difference, but it's possible I just haven't used it long enough. And I don't plan on using it for much longer either because the issue with this shampoo is that whether I use it once, twice or three times per wash, my hair is left feeling/looking greasy and very flat. I purchased this shampoo along with the Jojoba mask to condition. The shampoo is watery but lathers well. A little goes a long way. It rinses clean and leaves a spearmint tingle to your scalp. I normally do not like mint scents but this was more refreshing. It did not leave my hair as moisturized as I prefer but I purchased this particular shampoo for overall hair health, strength, and to address shedding/split ends. I noticed minimal shedding. My hair looked and felt great the next day as well. I am considering purchasing the moisturizing shampoo to alternate with this shampoo. I use a bottle of this shampoo every year in the spring, and it takes just a few weeks to start seeing results. Just a bottle is good but I’ve been using it for a few years and I see a noticeable difference in my hairline and volume. They changed the packaging from metal to plastic at some point, and the shampoo itself is less liquidy now than it was before, which I like. I have recommended this to friends who told me they really like too. I have dry bleached hair and try to not wash it every day, since I don't want to dry it out more than necessary. Recently I started focussing on cleaning my scalp more and this shampoo is great for that! I recommend using a scalp brush with it. I’m glad that I’ve tried Shapiro MD Hair Loss Shampoo and Leave in Conditioner, because as I get older my hair has been thinning. I haven’t been using it long enough to tell if it’s going to help stop the thinning, but I can say that these products are a joy to use. I am so pleased with this product. During the pandemic I decided to quit coloring my hair and it is almost now completely salt and pepper, with bits of white. Gray hair is not easy to take care of and I was losing quite a bit of hair. After just three and half weeks of using this product my hair is fuller, and there are no apparent thin spots. The smell is luscious. The shampoo smells slightly different than the conditioner, but both are earthy and not overpowering. I use purple shampoo once a week so I used these products just twice a week. I usually used the conditioner by leaving it in for two minutes then rinsing. I have used it as a leave in conditioner too, putting it on my dry hair, and it works well that way too. The product bottle specifies to leave in 3-5 minutes but even leaving in just a couple of minutes I noticed much less hair loss, and stronger hair. My brush is now not full of hair, very few strands fall out! Bald spots have dissipated, and my hair looks and feels fuller. I spent a few hundred dollars and used a these products exclusively in November/December 2017. A few weeks into my new routine, I started noticing tons of breakage and scalp sores. I took the advice of my MP, added in an oil and a mask to combat the breakage and soothe my scalp… A few weeks later, my husband pointed out my rapidly thinning hair and bald spots appearing. I immediately stopped using ALL Monat products went to a doctor. The doctor advised that the new hair products severely damaged my scalp by causing a growth of bacteria and gave me steroids and some medicated rinses. I also went to my stylist who informed me that my scalp looked like I had chemical/acid burns and that Monat products completely fried chunks of my hair off. Now, I didn't go from using low quality drug store products on my hair to Monat, I don't have a hormonal imbalance, I don't have allergies to common products, I don't have a vendetta against MLM's or seeing people "succeed", it's not my water – we have a very high end water system in my house, and I certainly don't sell competing brands (I'm a teacher, not a stylist). I was using HIGH quality salon brands and took excellent care of my hair before switching. Since Nov/Dec 2017, I've had to cut off at least 8 inches, use medicated rinses, do expensive treatments at salons. 10 months later, and my scalp is still itchy and inflamed, I'm still experiencing severe breakage and fall out, my bald spots have filled in ever so slightly, but I'm now experiencing NEW bald spots. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of other people experiencing similar issues from these products and the company is not taking responsibility. If you're reading this considering buying Monat products, just say "NO"; do yourself a favor and go spend your money on professional salon products which will even be cheaper than Monat.jessica.h
This shampoo, along with the conditioner, did seem to help the regrowth of my hair a little bit. I believe it does do it's job. However, I find it to be very expensive compared to other hair growth brands like Bosley for instance. I was a VIP member for Monat so I even got the discount and with shipping the system was often over $100. Great products, just not necessarily worth the price I'm comparison to other similar systems on the market. I will note for people reading this review that my hair is thin and fine. For me personally this shampoo did not work for my hair type AT ALL. It made my hair feel like complete straw and made it extra knotty frizzy. I believe it just dried out my hair and that it just was not the right shampoo for me personally. However, this shampoo worked great for someone that I know in helping them eliminate dandruff. I had been using Head and Shoulders and other various dandruff shampoo brands for my dandruff for years and never really found anything that helped much. I tried scalp scrubs, masks, rinses, treatments, etc and tons of home remedies and never found anything very effective. Until I saw a dermatologist on TikTok mention that dandruff is actually caused by a FUNGUS on your scalp 🤢 So gross. Anyway, he suggested trying something with ketoconazole in it and I ran out to Target to try this right away and it was worth every penny of the $14.99 or whatever it was that I paid. 10/10 if you have dandruff problems, try this. I’ve struggled with dandruff for years and have tried EVERY product; Selsun Blue, T/Gel, head and shoulders, home remedies, you name it. Head and Shoulders was really the only thing I found that kept it somewhat at bay and I still only use the condition along with using Nizoral shampoo. I have very thick and curly hair so I don’t wash it often which is why none of the other products worked for me because they would make my hair way too greasy. I have been using Nizoral for about 3 months now and will never use anything else. After only about a week of using it I noticed a drastic change in my scalp, no flakes AT ALL!! This is going to sound very disgusting but at one point many years ago I had dandruff really really bad. At least I thought it was the address. I kept using every single day and your shampoo I could find and it did very little. My skin on my scalp would flake and almost healed to the point of being a lot like cradle cap that little babies have. I couldn’t understand why I had this horrible Dandruff and why nothing I would buy would do anything to help it. Finally I was able to see a dermatologist who gave me a prescription shampoo and told me I’d had sebbhoreic dermatitis. Once my prescription ran out I was not able to go back to my dermatologist and there was quite the wait so I decided to try some other shampoos after reading online. where have you been my entire life? I have very thick course hair and I love it long. I also have a lot of gray in my roots so it gets wiry, and lets not omit the part where I insist my hairstylist texturized and razors my hair (she fights me every single time) for layers and thinning purposes. I was so excited to try the new Olaplex No.4C Bond Maintenance Clarifying Shampoo and was not disappointed! I start off by applying weekly in place of my regular shampoo to my wet hair at the scalp working to ends, working it into a lather, letting it sit for around 5 minutes to fully penetrate and process, rinse and follow with conditioner. This shampoo really does an amazing job clarifying my hair without leaving it feeling it dry like many others do because it is pH balanced. I have hypothyroidism and low hormonal levels for which I take meds & under-the-skin pellets (I’m female btw). I experienced hair fall thought to be due to testosterone levels increasing and was prescribed spironolactone and later, compounded 7% minoxidil. Spironolactone helped control my suddenly crazy oily skin and breakouts but I was still experiencing a ton of hair fall to the point️ that my hair was noticeably thinner and was prescribed this high dose of minoxidil twice daily. A side effect, which is rare apparently, was that it changed my normally shiny fine slightly wavy hair (which I had a lot of off) into a dry straw-like frizzy mess with crazy unmanageable waves. Stubborn waves that curled upwards and across the back of my head. I ended up cutting my mid to long length hair into a bob, added layers to help cut off the damage and make it more manageable and cuts every 3 weeks. I can’t do keratin treatments because I had one in the past and had an allergic reaction. I did the K18 mask and it made my hair noticeably softer, but my hair still looked frizzy and was still unmanageable. But once I started using this shampoo along with the mask, I finally saw some real results. I still have some frizz on the ends but the crazy wave is more relaxed and manageable, my hair is shiny again, and feels so soft. I use this shampoo daily and I think it’s been the cherry on the top, so to speak. I really really like this shampoo! I also use a hot brush to control frizz and add shine (it really makes a difference) and a balm and hair oil also purchased through LovelySkin. Wanted to love this shampoo because of all the hype around it. I have long thin hair with blonde highlights. I wash my hair every 5 days. I am 39 years old and have always had my hair long, around mid-back length. My hair has always been super healthy, I do not use heat on my hair and visit the salon regularly. This shampoo has made my hair shed significantly, even during the first wash. It would abnormally shed even during washes, clumps of hair would stay in my fingers, and my hair got dirty after 2-3 days. My hair became so dry, dull and would tangle at nothing. My hairdresser notice that something was off with my hair at my last appointment, and I had only used it once. I kept on using it thinking my hair would get used to it and that the shedding could be due to seasonal shedding (even though I had never experienced that before). After a few weeks, my hair kept shedding so much. I switched back to my usual shampoo (Redken) and my hair was instantly back to its normal, healthy and shiny state after the first wash. Not saying it’s a bad product, it does lather nicely, but be mindful that if your hair doesn’t feel right, it might not be the product for you.Stef123456
The Peptide Prep pH Maintenance shampoo is a great pair it the K18 repair mask. I also have the detox shampoo, but I feel like you could get away with just once of them. Although, there are some differences I spotted below: -The charcoal detox mask to me had a bit of a stronger scent, one that I enjoyed but if you don’t, you may enjoy this one more. The detox shampoo is also black-gray in color, this one is clear. -I found that both of them lathered very nicely, and made my hair and scalp feel so soft. I didn’t feel a drastic difference between the two. -The main difference I think between the two is that the detox is your deep-clean, and the peptide ph is like your everyday maintenance. The textures and way they left my hair to me were very similar. I was already a huge fan of the K18 hair repair mask, and I would recommend to a friend and to anyone who loves soft hair. I’ve tried brands like Olaplex, and I feel like k18 products definitely lasts longer than them. A great investment, even though it’s not as well-known yet, I’d say go for this one if you want a product that will perform!savannahceleste
