Using this product for two years, because most of the drugstore brand shampoos resulted in massive hair loss and itchy scalp, on my part. Yes, this is a great product for relieving itchy scalp: adding volume/sheen, and removing 85-90% dandruff. But the results last about two days before my dandruff and itchiness returns. However, it's the only shampoo I've tried so far that doesn't make my hair fall out. It took about 6 months for me to see dramatic change when I switched from drugstore shampoos (pantene, garnier, v05 to list a few) to this. If it helps any, I have 1a type hair, and this shampoo controls the massive oiliness of my hair that comes about every two days. Additionally, I've enjoyed the original formula more back when it was called "Yes to Carrots", due to the mint like feeling. However, the results of either formula's are the same.Terry

Hair/scalp is complicated *big sigh* It’s been a few weeks and scalp wise I see and feel a big difference. With other products I could wash my hair use it for a while and I’d still have flakes, patches on my scalp, and lots of itching. The amount of flakes was embarrassing. I would pat my head to keep from creating more flakes. It was a mess literally. Now there is little to no flakes and the itching has gone down. The only con would be my hair isn’t as soft. It’s not dry or crunchy just not as soft. It’s not a deal breaker but just wanted to add that. I should have taken before and after pics but my expectations were low. I normally have confidence in this brand, but this product was a disappointment. The shampoo is thick and almost gel-like. The smell is faint and not what you would expect for a tea tree product. It takes a large portion to generate washing action and there is no tingling or feeling that it is doing anything for your scalp. This shampoo SAVED my hair. I’ve been using Native shampoo conditioner for about 6 months and I noticed my scalp start to have so much dandruff. It was REALLY bad. My hit also seemed really oily pretty quickly. At this point, it felt like I just couldn’t get it out no matter how long I rinsed. There was just lots of build up. This shampoo literally saved my hair. After one wash, it felt significantly better and actually clean. I paired it with the curl quench conditioner on my ends (even though I have straight hair) and use a little on my scalp and my hair looks and feels so much better. I honestly picked this because it was the cheapest clarifier I could find with a good amount of fl oz. I was comparing to other brands. This clarifier is very good and I am glad I picked it up. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do. This product will also last long since we should not be clarifying our hair often. I have curly hair with a kinky texture. The directions says to use a dime-quarter size amount and I would stick by that. I used a little more than quarter size and my hair/scalp was clean fast. I had such high hopes for this brand, and especially the shampoo. I love the way the bottle looks it's so cute in the blush color, and I've heard great things from so many people about that they love the shampoo. I hate it. I need a clarifying shampoo because once a week I put a ton of oil, and sometimes hair masks as well, on my hair. I'm trying to regrow my hair, a little bit over a year ago I was completely bald, so I use mostly biotin and Castor oils. My regular shampoo washes them out pretty well, as well as my cheap drugstore shampoo, even it washes the oils out okay. I just wanted a clarifying shampoo for these weekly hair oil treatments. This shampoo did not wash the oil out of my hair at all! I was worried after shampoo because I didn't feel that squeaky clean feeling I expect from a clarifying shampoo, but I kept going thinking that maybe it was just more moisturizing than others. Nope. I got out of the shower, blow dried my hair, and it looks like I still have a ton of oil in my hair, probably because I do. I really don't understand how this is a clarifying shampoo, I even shampoo twice in my shower too, that's my routine I always shampoo twice but especially when I have oil in my hair. My first order of business today will be returning this thing to Ulta and getting the Ouai Detox that I should have just splurged on in the first place. Then I need to rewash and blow dry my hair again, for the second time within 24 hours which is infuriating. Add to all of that the fact that this thing doesn't have any scent that I can smell. I expect my hair care products to be highly scented, I prefer musky non floral scents but regardless it should be scented. When I stick my nose in the bottle I can vaguely smell something, but when using it in the shower and after: nothing, smells like literally nothing. And I had the same panic too with no scent so I checked and I can smell everything else just not this shampoo. 0/10 would definitely not recommend this shampoo, maybe the regular one is better, but I won't be finding out.jennifer.h

I really really love this product because wonderful smell. It is refreshing to my scalp. Makes my hair feel fabulous. However, I don't know why but it makes my hair have crazy static electricity! It took me a couple of months to figure out which Lange product was doing it and I finally narrowed it down to the peppermint products. It is the strangest thing. Not sure what is in it that caused the electricity because otherwise I really love the mint shampoo and conditioner. Very sad that I can't use it. I have very fine, oily hair. I ran out of my Lange mint shampoo in the fall and we were in the middle of a move and having a baby that it slipped my mind to order some before I needed more. So I ran to the store and grabbed the shampoo and conditioner I used to use before I found Lange. This isn't cheap shampoo and I used to think it was good for my hair. So I’m fairly new to L’Ange trying out all the products, and decided to go ahead and order this because I am trying to hair train. For the first time in my entire life, I’m washing my hair once a week! I had to cave and use this tonight, I’m only on day 4 😩 I made this mistake of using too many products on day 1-I used root boost, mousse, leave in, and my favorite glass hair all by L’Ange- lesson learned though because with all that and then heat shield for when I wanted to curl my hair yesterday, plus Style Revival dry shampoo, my roots were an absolute wreck! I have used St Clements Shampoo Bar for over a year now and have since then switched to Ethique conditioner as well. I hope to leave some helpful thoughts on this bar as I have gotten to know it well over the past year. PROS: The sustainability, the results, the smell- there are so many good things I can say about this product. I have pretty thin hair. I originally switched to this bar because the shampoo I purchased at the grocery store was causing my hair to fall out. I decided I wanted to go natural to eliminate the chances of that ever happening again. I originally purchased this bar on Amazon simply because of its natural ingredients- without knowing anything about the Ethique company itself. Once I tried the bar and learned more about the values of the company, I was hooked. This is currently the only shampoo bar I have tried and could see myself venturing into other shampoo bars from Ethique in the future, but either way I have definitely found a soap company I will stay with. The bar helps my hair feel lighter, has allowed me to go an extra day in between washes, and is just as easy to use as liquid shampoo (once you get the hang of it). I also appreciate their value on sustainability and being kind to the environment. After my initial order on Amazon, I have ordered directly from Ethique to receive a plastic-free shipment. That alone is 100% worth the few extra dollars for shipping. Plus, the free sample size product they give you usually equates to the cost of shipping anyways and is a great gateway to trying other products from Ethique. CONS: Product-wise I don't have many bad things to say about this bar, but I did dock one star for one main reason: lifetime. I love this bar so much that I don't mind paying more for Ethique products. I do not, however, agree that the price of this shampoo bar is comparable to a bottle of "normal" shampoo at the grocery store based on its lifetime. My bars last between a month and half to two months. The first bar I bought I used incorrectly (I made suds and then washed) and have since then learned how to use the bar correctly. The month and half time average is based on the bars I used correctly. This also correlates to storage. I live in a pretty low humidity climate- its really dry here. I store my bar on soap saver pad on a metal-bar shower shelf and when I leave the shower I make sure to leave the shower doors open and the bathroom fan on for a while after I'm done. I find that the bar still remains really soft in between washes, and often breaks down while in use. This results in me going through the bar a lot quicker, since large clumps pull off the bar into my hair. I did not have this problem with the first few bars I used, but it has since been common in my past few purchases. If there are any recommendations from people who have experienced this on how to fix it, I would greatly appreciate it! Hair feels clean. I was using a now discontinued liquid Charcoal Shampoo from another company, which I was happy with. This is even better for my hair and scalp. I cannot use "cheap" or "supermarket" shampoo due to reaction to additives but am not having a reaction to St Clements because it is free of the toxic (to me ) preservatives in most shampoos. I chose this brand over a cheaper option at Priceline, because Ethique has a cleaner ingredient list while the other brands stocked contain nasty (to me ) ingredients and/or preservatives. My naturally poker straight hair is not artificially lifted by this shampoo bar and is very clean with four short strokes on my waist length hair. Only issue is trying to keep the bar dry, as bathroom often in use. If you have a busy bathroom, a face washer isn't going to keep the bar dry and the box will stay wet. Should be sorted soon as getting a free pink container with latest order. Thank you for not putting Aloe in everything, as I am allergic to it and appreciate Ethique adds ingredients because they are beneficial or essential to the formula, not because they are "trending" like some other brands do.Jen

I love this shampoo. It's meant for oily hair. I tried a "normal" hair shampoo and it convinced me to try this. I've been using it forever now and I love the effect it has. It makes my hair soft. I do still use a "normal" based hair conditioner (I think it's kookabar) for extra silk texture. I am a little annoyed because it's recebtly started to get really soft and slip between the grates of its rack. (Photo to follow) This has started in the past month roughly. I keep it away from the stream of water, uncovered to air dry. It seems to only affect this recipe since, as previously stated, I did try one "normal" sampler and a normal block. I have very fine, oily hair and have been trying product after product and brand after brand, in search of something that works for me. After some research, I found that I had been using all the wrong products for my hair type, which were only weighing it down and encouraging an oily scalp the day after washing my hair. I read through hundreds of reviews on shampoos for oily and thin hair and came across Ouai's Detox Shampoo. I have used Ouai's Dry Shampoo and it became a staple for me, so I decided to give the detox a try. I'm so glad that I did because, after one use, my oily scalp feels weightless and rid of all of the built-up dry shampoo and moisturizing shampoos I had been using. I understand the concerns with the potential drying that may occur from this shampoo but keep in mind that this is a detox and not an everyday shampoo. I’ll admit, I was skeptical. I had their fine hair shampoo/conditioner and was thrilled how well they work. I use probably 2-4 products a day because I have a wolf cut. I dry shampoo on the 2nd day and 3rd, and ideally shower the 3rd night or 4th day. I’ve been getting by just fine double shampooing, but I felt I needed something a liiiittle heavier duty. I always see people rave about this and for 30$, I was certainly giving it the side eye. Not anymore! I am a believer in this fry shampoo. I have previously religiously bleached hair, so my mid-shaft and ends can be very sensitive to harsher cleansers. I haven’t had any issues with this product at all so far. I have an incredibly oily scalp that even with my own oils and serums, still loves to produce its own factory of oil. If you have dryer hair but still want to detox, try pre-oiling your hair and scalp a bit before a shower, I think that could help A TON! I love how this removes all of the oils and gunk without making your hair feel like legit STRAW like some detox shampoos can. Reviewers complaining that it left them MORE oily forget that *THIS IS NOT FOR DAILY USE*. It literally says that. If you’re using a detox shampoo for daily use, why? Your poor hair. Anyway, I love this. I lather before I put on and really scrub with my nails and follow up with a shampoo massager to get all the grime and oil from my scalp. I leave it on for about a minute, then I rinse. Voila, perfectly soft and fluffy hair! Following with Ouai’s fine hair conditioner and my hair is bouncy and soft. Fine hair girls know the struggle of getting any sort of bouncy volume AND softness… and this really does help. I use this right now every Sunday. I love it for getting product out of my hair on days I may have used 5 products instead of my normal 4 and I HAVE to use it after 3 days. Super bummed that this didn't work out as well for me as I though it would. For reference my hair texture is medium and straight (that good good thick asian girl hair) and I typically go 4-5 days between washes (trained my scalp decently enough to control oil because she gets *oily* ok). Not sure if I just used this wrong the first time (too much?? shouldn't have shampooed twice since I normally do that w my normal shampoo?? even tho I used less than a quarter sized amount??) but after the first use it completely stripped my scalp and make it super flaky and itchy (truly shocking given that my scalp is on the oilier side) and by the second day, my scalp was super greasy and dirty (not even dry shampoo could fix her). So bummed! Esp. since I don't really need to wash my hair/get greasy until day 4 or 5. Ever since then I haven't used it (went back to my main shampoo) but it seems like the effects still last aka my scalp/hair still gets greasy way earlier than it used to even though I've discontinued use, and I feel like i have to re-train my scalp to get to day 5 again. I'll give it another shot and use way less and only shampoo once, then maybe balance it out w my usual shampoo but for the time being this really wasn't for me. Tried the Degrease Shampoo because my hair is quite on the oily scale. Packaging is great and high quality bottle and tamper proof lid/foil. Upon first usage, I noticed a very floral, fruity, citrus-like scent. It smells great and reminds me of sorbet or candy. After rinsing off, the scent is much more subtle which is great that it doesnt overpower you. The shampoo so far has been great. I have thin, fine greasy hair and my daily exercise routine and having hard water does not help. I found this degrease shampoo online and it is the first shampoo that has helped my hair not be so greasy. It worked the first time I used it and it is still working well three months later. My hair is less greasy and fuller. Throughout the day, especially on a warm humid day my hair stays cleaner and the next morning my hair isn’t nearly as greasy s it used to be. Just bought my third bottle of this product online and I've finally been able to stop searching for a better one. I've tried so many shampoos over the years! Between oily scalp and product buildup, I never thought I could skip a day, but my baby fine hair was suffering for it. I honestly think most shampoos designed to remove oils and residue overstrip and create increased oil production (much like most acne medicines). It becomes a vicious cycle. This product works and does not dry out my hair and my scalp doesn't overproduce oils to make up for overdrying. I use a scalp massager brush to work the shampoo in good and it's very tingly and wakes me up! Being free to not shampoo every day helps even more. This shampoo has also substantially decreased the volume of hair loss I'd been previously experiencing. I have long, thick, balayaged hair that lives way more of a fabulous life than I do. I don’t skimp on shampoo and for that reason I have always liked all the Biolage shampoos I’ve tried. They are high quality and come in very nice sized bottles for the price. That is why I was so very eager to try smooth proof because my hair is also wavy and without some taming, it can get pretty wild. I first tried this shampoo a few times without the conditioner (This is me most days for sake of time and also to avoid build up) and I was so happy with the results. It did not weight my hair down at all. The wave was more cohesiveness and it was soft and so shiny! I do use with the conditioner at least once a week and that is where you really see the smooth get to another level. However, it didn’t weight it all completely down, I still had plenty of lift at my crown without any real styling (Which I generally avoid) Like all the other Biolage shampoos I’ve tried, it lathers well. You don’t need much. I also really love the floral scent, reminds me of orange mlossom. I’ve been using it for more than a month now and my hair still feels great. I received this shampoo free for testing purposes by #influester. The shampoo is absolutely amazing it is thin and light but hydrating enough for my course, thick, 3C hair. My daughters and I have been thoroughly enjoying this shampoo and it’s something we can all use. My older has thick wavy hair and works wonderfully for her. The shampoo and conditioner is perfect and enough for her hair. My youngest daughter has curly 3B hair but it’s very fine and thin and the shampoo does work wonderfully for her hair too. I have tried so many different clarifying shampoos over the years. I have fine, thin, long hi-lighted blonde hair. I use 2 different leave in products for strengthening/conditioning/heat protectant. OMG YESS YESS YESS!! All the jobs I’ve had in the past required me to wear a hat. Overtime the sweat and buildable of the oils made my scalp so itchy and irritated non stop. My hairdresser recommended I should try out Tea Tree Oil!! It resolved my problem instantly. Tea tree is used to repel head lice. I buy this shampoo for my 3 girls to use during the school year. Prior to buying this product, at least one of my 3 girls would end up with lice within the first month of school. After using this product, we haven't had a single case of head lice in the house. They only need to use it once a week and it still protects them. It does have a strong scent, but its pleasant. I also feel like it leaves a tingly feeling on your scalp during use. It goes away after your hair is dry. With 4 girls in the house and 4 different hair types, this shampoo works for all without drying or weighing down. I've had to take my time writing this review because I wanted to be absolutely sure that I meant what I wrote. That being said, I am absolutely floored by this set of hair care products. The Healthy Scalp Hydro Boost line has completely changed my hair. As a late-blooming curly girl with a severely sensitive scalp, I have tried MANY products while in pursuit of the right combination for my hair's need for moisture and my scalp's desire to remain product-free. None of those products have ever influenced me the way that Hydro Boost has. The conditioner feels like butter in the best way. I got this shampoo from influenster in exchange of my honest reviews. I love trying new shampoo and conditioner products and seeing what each one has to offer. I hadn’t heard of any with hyaluronic acid before and was eager to see if it stood out above other shampoos I’ve tried. The bottle of this shampoo is a neat square shape which is different from other shampoos out there, but it didn’t fit on my shower ledge where I put all the rest of my products. I had to put it on the edge of the tub which I don’t prefer. It is easy to squeeze out and comes out a little thick. From the picture I thought it would be blue which it isn’t, only the bottle is blue. That’s not a big deal, I guess it was the inner child in me that hoped it would be a cool color. That’s a plus for anyone who doesn’t want unnatural dyes in their product anyways. When I put this on my hair it took a while to lather and I actually went back for a little more product to get it worked in all over my head. It’s not too strong though and it doesn’t last after being rinsed out. It didn’t feel particularly moisturizing as I lathered it over my scalp. After the shower my hair felt clean and lightweight. It is seen that it is an interesting product and that according to my research through reviews and recommendations, it seems to promise good results. so my assessment of this product is a 2.6 because it is a product that I have not used, but I would like to try it since I am a person who loves it!! try hair products and always look for a way to care for and repair it.so as such I have not tried it, but reviewing and informing myself I have seen that its recommendations are good as well as the results after its use. It is very Vivid in my imagination that I was trying to do everything to get rid of it. I know it stayed in my downstairs bathroom with a little bit left in the bottle. I hated the residue that it left on my hair and the lack of my hair feeling clean after using this. My ex-husband was very bad about using the last of a product once it got down to the bottom of it. Anyone who dyes their hair copper knows that copper pigmented hair dye will not stay onto the hair particle for long. A brand new copper color hair do will last about a week or two before it fades into a honey brown color, and eventually a yellow-brown color. With this in mind, there are products that will help to prolong the dye coloration and slow down the fade process, and I turn to Redken shampoo every time​ to get the job done whenever I need to prolong my copper dye. I use this along with the Redken conditioner Color Extend and shampoo three x a week, conditioner once a week, and my copper pigmented color will last about 2 months before it fades onto a honey brown and eventually to a yellowish brown by the 4 months mark. Loved this shampoo; I don't have dandruff but can get quite an itchy scalp. I don't wash my hair everyday in order to avoid itching and drying out my scalp, so at most I will wash my hair every 2-3 days but this often means it gets greasy. This shampoo was great for my scalp; not itched since first use, left my scalp feeling clean and fresh. Great subtle fragrance and a little goes a long way. I have quite fine hair and most shampoos can be too heavy but this was excellent, left it feeling weightless. I would also go as far to say that it has helped reduce the oiliness of my hair also. Due to the price, I will probably not use constantly but more as a weekly treatment wash.Jenben10

This shampoo is amazing! I have been using a different brand of tea tree shampoo for several years, but I needed a change, since I wasn't getting the same results I did years ago. I am so glad I decided to try the suave brand! Not only does this shampoo have tea tree oil in it, but it has hemp seed oil. The tea tree helps me with my dry scalp and prevents me from developing dandruff. The hemp seed oil helps with stimulating and maintaining hair growth. I love this shampoo since it gives my entire scalp a refreshing feeling. Since I have been using my hair is shiny, soft and silky. Best of all, it is tangle-free! I have also noticed I have lost a lot less hair since using this product. I love the natural ingredients. If you are looking for a new shampoo, give this a try!Marcey

I have had dry scalp for many years now and am constantly searching for different shampoos that will help me get rid of it. I've tried everything from expensive T-gels to almost every brand of dandruff shampoo out there. I have used Tea Tree oil shampoo before, and while it helped a little, wasn't very effective. By the second day after using it, the dandruff was back. This Suave Tea Tree and Hemp Seed Oil seems to be much better at helping with the dandruff. I have had much less white flakes even into the 3rd day after washing when I use this. One thing I have noticed however is that it tends to make my hair more frizzy and statically charged. I braid my hair after washing when it's wet, and then the day after I pull out the braids to have that nice wavy look to it. But with this shampoo, it makes my hair frizzy for the second day (which is good is you need more volume in your hair, otherwise, not so helpful), and by the third day, my hair is sticking to everything from the static charge. So while great for dandruff, I have to weigh in the frizziness and static to the review also. I would definitely recommend the product because of it's excellent job on dandruff despite the unfortunate side effects.rosepaw

I was so excited to try out Suave's new Revitalizing Tea Tree & Hemp Seed Oil Shampoo!! I've heard and read of all the great benefits of the two oils, but have yet to try either. I'm very picky about which products I use on my hair. As my hair is long, curly, frizzy, has some damage and just needs extra care. I wasn't sure how I would like Suave. Right away I noticed the scent, I love the smell, like mint! Not too strong, or light, just right. I did notice that the shampoo is not a thin, or as runny as some other's. Which is a good thing. It laters up and massages into my hair quite nicely. It also rinses out fast and easy, bonus. I love the fact this has tea tree oil in it, as it helps with various things. Such as dandruff, I don't suffer with dandruff, but it also provides antibacterial benefits, which help hair growth. It also has hemp seed oil, which has it all! Hemp seed oil contains many dietary nutrients, like vitamins, minerals, proteins, omega fatty acids, & more to support and help promote healthy hair. All of which I absolutely love and need right now with my hair. I just had it cut last month. Perfect time to take the best care of it I can, and providing it with both oils I feel will help my hair to become less frizzy, more voluminous, less damaged, and looking all around better. With longer term use, I could see this giving me my desired results. I'd definitely recommend.Kay414

I have been looking everywhere for a shampoo for my daughters hair that will give her more time between washes. Her hair gets too oily too quickly for her age . (6) mine was also always the same. After trying a lot of shampoos. I bought this. Even while drying our hair I noticed a huge difference. ..no residue at all. The next morning her hair still looked very clean. Thai shampoo is amazing. I used to wash to wash my hair everyday day due to the oil build up. I can now go about 3 days without washing my hair and it still looks fresh and smells clean.Lovetolookfantastic

Wouldn't buy this again. Didn't notice any difference and I don't recommend for bleached hair. I used this on newly bleached hair and it really dulled the colour. I went back to using my Davines shampoo and after reading about shampooing your hair twice, this actually got rid of any dry skin on the scalp. So may be worth people using their ordinary shampoo and just repeating the process?Hols
