Love my line of John Frieda products. Had to add this and the Red Boosting Conditioner to my collection. I find this is awesome. Smell could be better, especially the conditioner though. Some have said that they dound it irritated their scalp but I will say I havent had this problem. Will totally but this again once it gets low.amy.c

I've been using your Blonde Highlighting shampoo and conditioner for years–saw this and thought I would experiment. It turned out pretty well! Now I have a question–what will happen if I go back to the Blonde Highlighting shampoo for my next wash? (It's for a Halloween thing). I’ve now got side greys on my cherished naturally dark reddish brown hair & it’s looking a bit draining on my 60 year old face. I wanted a copper colour deposit conditioner (like the sadly discontinued Madder Red which I miss!). This is a little too cherry red/pink for me so I mixed it with a small blob of Plantur Brown conditioner (sold by Boots & VERY effective) & left for 20 mins – I now have golden coppery hair where the greying side hairs were! I have vibrant, bright red, Ariel from little mermaid hair. Before I got my hands on this amazing product, I would have to touch up my color every month or so (by this time it was light pink, orange, yellow, gross). I use it with the Joico red conditioner, and my hair has stayed vibrant (although a bit faded, that's just the way it goes) but overall, it is one solid bright red color and it refreshes my hair each time I shower. I only wash my hair twice a week (colored hair people where ya at?) and I have been SO happy with the results. I will continue to purchase this time and time again, in fact I have about 4 bottles under my sink just in case. Ok let’s talk feel and then science. First, I used to have tremendous hair in my 30’s, strong, healthy and thick. The. I got some thyroid problems after having my kids, some hair fall, live in FL now with crappy water and I even have a pool with chlorine. I am outside a lot. I have backed off highlights because my hair is fine but a lot of it and it was FRAGILE. Never broke in my life until recently. So now I tone the heck out of my damaged previously balayaged hair with professional smoke blue products at a salon to kick the orange brass out of my light brown hair. And even with peroxide developer of only 8 (shades EQ) not, 20 or even 10 I have a rat’s nest. So Joico. Pros. It IS light. Because it doesn’t have to be heavy as it is chock full of proteins and lightweight conditioners. It also has a Ph of 4.5 to 5.5. What’s Ph good for ? Let me expound. So since I have a pool, certain Phs make chemicals either work better or worse. Like, you need less expensive chlorine if you keep your Ph not too alkaline (ph over 7). For your hair, our bodies are at a 6.5 or so, so ph balanced shampoos and conditioners are important because soap is VERy alkaline. The more alkaline, the more the cuticle is lifted like shingles on a house. The more lift, the tougher, the more color loss, the more protein AND moisture loss. So the trick of using an Apple Cider Vinegar rinse applies here. You WANT an ACIDIC product to SHUT down that cuticle. Especially after deep conditioning, coloring or toning. And for those of you who swim, if that gorgeous hair of yours stays wet, like for an HOUR, you’ve lost protein, the moisture that binds to protein, color and you have severely weakened it. 1 swim. 1 hour wet. Enter Color Endure. It’s Ph is a relatively LOW 4.5 -5.5 which is PERFECT for my high porosity, damaged, colored hair. Is it super moisturizing like Tigi Heavens Door that’s like a mask? Nope. But does it trap in that moisture from a wash day and help dry fast like a dream in the FL humidity AND detangle AND keep that cuticle down to resist heat damage and soaking up chlorine and impurities in my water? YES. My 14 year old naturally blonde but chlorinated daughter steals it all the time because it’s light, de tangles, and works. We have zero split ends between us from this bananas smelling product. Now I have a ton of masks and I love Wen and I just like creamy stuff like Dumb Blonde Reconstructer. But everything is heavy on my roots, and a lot of my damage is along my part and front pieces from the sun. If you do the Wen advice and leave in but rinse rinse (like 3 minutes with scrubbing scalp with fingers) rinse I don’t have any grease or build up. I also twist it into my ends at the end of my shower (1 squirt). I could Take a picture of all the hair products I own but this one I buy when it runs out. That’s high praise. I was looking to replace my village color depositing conditioner because I can't find that product ANYWHERE & it was my holy grail. THIS JOICO PRODUCT IS TERRIBLE. I've used it 3 times and haven't noticed a difference in color or in vividness of my hair. It's been dyed a ginger-red. If anything, my hair hasn't maintained it's color how it normally does, it's much less red and vibrant. It leaves my hair greasy and feels heavy, almost like the product itself is too heavy for my hair, which it may be. I'm going to return this because it's not the product for me. It HAS very powerful staining power though, so use an old towel. It stains everything BUT your hair.Lauren R

I absolutely LOVE THE COLOR!!!!! But it dries out your hair. I use so many products that I thought it would never dry mine out. After two washes I realized I will shampoo the color in, every day, not twice a week. And I will use three minute miracle or 6-13 by Wen directly after. It colors my hair waaaay better than my box color. I only have a few grays with this shampoo verses ALL the gray's with a hair color treatment. So yes, I'm still going to use it!!! I just add oil in my hair every time I wash it. And I have to use this every time I shampoo or it won't work and all the evil gray's come back.Beth

I have used a few products from this line, so I was excited to try a new color in Silvery Diamond. I have heavily lightened hair and maintain this through a salon. Before use, I contacted my hairdresser about using the product. I wanted to make sure she would be able to color correct in case I messed up, or didn't like the color. She agreed that this would be fun and easy to handle after running down a list of ingredients, and directions. I really like this product. It works perfectly on my hair because of how light it is. The silver was pretty but not a good fit for my skin tone which is fair. It washed me out, but that is not the fault of the product. I have used other colors and loved the result. I figured that since I didn't love the color on myself, this would be a great time to see how hard it would be to get out of my hair. I re-washed and used a de-gunking shampoo and conditioner and the color, although still visible was lightened and had a really pretty sparkle that played up the tones of my blonde. I really liked it. These are high-quality products, and leave your hair feeling soft and silky after use. I definitely recommend this to anyone with lightened hair. My stylist talked me into "highlights" around the face and I have some old yellowing highlights in the back I was trying to grow out. My hair is about 90% gray with Wella Colorcharm 9NG all over. I’ve tried about four or five different color conditioners; each one comes out pretty blotchy and washes out so quickly.This is the only color shampoo I’ve ever tried and it sounded a little weird but it is absolutely perfect. Since I have various shades of blonde, the color takes differently but beautifully. Some strands are pink some areas are a little rose gold.The color doesn’t seep onto pillows, towels (I even use a white towel), or clothes and washes out gradually and beautifully. I use this about once a week to keep a light blush pink on my hair. Of course you can use it more and get more depth of color. I have natural blond hair that has a lot of natural dimension and highlights in it. However, like many women, my hair color has changed a bit after two kids, and doesn't pop the way it used to. Not to mention, I'm already starting to find a couple of white hairs here and there at 33, so I needed something that was going to tone my hair to make it a more vibrant cool toned color again that I had pre kids.I decided to try this out. Despite being for color treated grey/blonde I found it actually did a good job at lightening and brightening my natural hair, removing any of the lackluster yellow that's come into my hair since I had my kids. I thoroughly lathered throughout my entire hair and left it on for about 10 minutes just to see what it could do on natural hair. While it didn't have as drastic results as it would have on color treated hair, it definitely did the trick in lightening and brightening my natural locks and returning it to the more cool toned lighter blond that I had pre kids. It definitely took out a lot of the yellow tones which was huge to me.I now do it once a week just to keep up the slight color change. Its subtle and soft, but definitely worth the purchase. The product works great! I have natural black hair and bleached it once to make it vibrant red. I wash my hair daily, so the color faded pretty quick. I don’t want to go to hair salon again, so I randomly searched it on amazon to find this. I decided to give a try, and after several weeks, I found it very convenient to remain my hair color in a fairly bright red hue evenly. The color remains for 2~3 wash.However, I’m not giving it five stars because:Instead of using it like my normal shampoo, I need to squeeze 3 palms of the product to apply on my hair to reach the color change shown in my photos. I tried using a small amount and imagined the product staying on my hair longer would let the color soak in, but it didn’t work much. If you have long hair, you probably will run out of this very fast. It also dries my hair after rinsing it off, but could be solved with conditioner once.Anyway if you plan to use this, I recommend to apply a generous amount of it on your hair, and massage it through hair to have the even color, but not making a lot of foams. After waiting for a few mins, rinse it off and use conditioner once or twice under warm water since a steaming hot shower washes the new applied color off easily.Stephanie L.

I've been almost every color under the sun and I wish something like this had been available when I first went red years ago. Just a little info about my hair, I have naturally brown, very thin straight hair that I had been bleaching for about 2-2 1/2 years. I was tired of the damage being blonde was giving me so I decided to go red-completely spacing that my hair was used to not holding really any color. The first dye was rough, by a week and a half in my blonde was starting to peek through and the red was very dull. I asked my stylist for something to refresh my hair and she suggested the copper tone one. I read on here someone used theirs like a hair dye (they just put it evenly on dry hair and let it sit). So I did the same and had it sit for about 30 mins. I then washed with cold water and followed with the shampoo. I will say-yes, this shampoo can be drying; but as long as you use periodic hair masks and don't use it every wash it is GREAT! It was a complete 180, the more I use this shampoo the greater the results. I now use the red and the copper tone off and on and I like the look the combination of them gives. I would not recommend this for anyone that has brown to darker hair. This will not lift your hair. It is just a color refresh. As with reds always try to use cold water. I use a shower cap that way I don't have to freeze when washing my body (probably the best tip I can give, just shampoo put a cap on and then shave or wash your body while it is setting). I don't usually write reviews but I had a hard time finding people with my specific situation (blonde to red) so I hope this helps!April

In my opinion, red hair is one of the most gorgeous possible hair colors out there. Unfortunately, maintaining red hair is a huge pain. Naturally, I have light brown hair. Me and my hair stylist decided on a whim one day that I was going to go red – so that she could test out a new dye she got on me. I was excited and also apprehensive because I've been down this road before (about 10 years ago when I was in high school). I remember being SO mad when I washed my hair that first time and the majority of my color came out. 17 year old me used Garnier Fructis Color shield shampoo. It was terrible. So, needless to say, the task of finding the right shampoo was a bit daunting for me. I went to Ulta, and after looking at probably every shampoo in the store two or three times, I decided on this one. Now, if you know anything about red hair, fading is inevitable. It fades with every wash and every time you use heat on it. Even when you do everything right and wash as few times as possible and use only cold water (beauty truly is pain, y'all!). Other fun factors like sweat can contribute too. The color on the layers surrounding my neck has faded significantly faster. But all things considered, this shampoo has kept my color as vibrant as possible. It's been a month since I dyed my hair, and it's still holding up. Fading has happened, yes. But you can still tell that it's red, it hasn't turned auburn on me (which is what happened when I went with garnier fructis). So I don't have a whole lot to compare it to, but it works. I didn't experience any drying like some reviews had said about other color deposit shampoos (i was really scared about that!), and I left both the shampoo and conditioner in for the full 3 minutes each time I used them. so I have natural strawberry blonde hair honestly more on the very faded ginger side, during the summer my hair loses a lot of its red color from the sun. so I was very scared to use this since I didnt want it to look like I dyed my hair. i washed my hair with his and conditioned with a regular none colored conditioner and it does exactly what it is supposed to do! the color is very subtle, coppery tone first time I used it it looked only a little bit more coppery second time made my hair look more like its natural ginger shade. I only use it twice every other week since it does continue to build color and that's not what I personally wanted, it does not foam a lot, it does dry hair a little bit but if your hair is healthy you will be just fine my conditioning and a bit of hair oil fixed it. I do think this would only work with light hair and better with natural hair because the effect is beautiful but subtle at first. dont by any means expect huge results immediately it's not a hair dye it's a shampoo with a bit of hair color in it. in conclusion I'd say if your curious and want a natural ginger color go for it, if you want intense results you will be disappointed. also it looks super orange dont panic you're good and as long as you wash your hands afterwards in the shower you will be 100%E

Like the product. Went to buy it based on a 30% off on one item coupon. The item was $33, so with the discount, slightly under $25. Can purchase 2 of them for $25 on Amazon. CVS would be easy to recommend if they stopped playing these stupid games with prices. But even without that, the service is just not good. It's not like it use to be. They can't seem to retain managers. There is a story here, I just don't know wha it is. But I do know that this is the last time I fall for one of these 30% off coupons. What a joke!Phil1957

Having coloured my hair for many years I am very conscious of the need to try and keep it in good condition and avoid colour fading so was very eager to try Nexxus Color Assure Shampoo. Nexxus is not a brand I am familiar with so was keen to see the results. As soon as I poured the shampoo into my hand I could feel the quality of this beautifully rich shampoo and the smell was absolutely divine. The shampoo lathered up easily into my hair with just a small amount of the product. It was easy to rinse out and my hair felt thick and full once it had been washed. Once my hair had been dried I could instantly see how shiny and well nourished my hair looked and felt and the colour of my hair has stayed more vibrant without any fading over the past couple of weeks. I wash my hair every day and this shampoo has kept it in perfect condition. I regularly smelt the shampoo during the day which was lovely and I have had several people complimenting me on how shiny and healthy my hair looks. This shampoo has definitely prevented colour fading in my hair and will be my go to shampoo from now on. I've used this product for years, but they seem to have changed the formulation. I purchased two 1L bottles sometime ago. I just ran out of the old formula and opened the new bottle, and (as many have said) it does not clean. It leaves a waxy/greasy residue on my hair no matter how much I rinse, regardless of whether or not I follow with conditioner. I tried emailing the company a month ago, but have heard no reply.PJ

Adds color while you shampoo. Ounce per ounce, it is a bit pricey and it doesn’t seem to lather up as much. So compared to ordinary shampoos, you may end up using more of this product to feel like you’ve gotten you hair clean enough, to where you’d expect it to be, having just washed it. It works best on color treated hair but if you’re using this product for the first time, you shouldn’t expect to see the vivid color results like the hair swatches on the website or the ads. If you’re using this shampoo to maintain your already ultra-bright hair color, it should work beautifully— provided you follow the directions carefully. If you’re starting with hair that’s just been bleached light blonde or platinum, you should see great results too— provided you allow it enough time (several minutes) to soak in. If you’re building on hair that’s been dyed, but it’s a “normal “ hair color, then you’ll likely get wonderful jewel tones. Pretty, but nowhere near the bright colors you saw, that probably got your attention. Use nylon or plastic gloves. At first, I felt it went without saying because it IS hair coloring, but after reading several other comments, I want to reiterate: even though gloves are not included, they are recommended. And just like with traditional hair color, you should also apply a thin layer of protection around your hairline before using this product too. You can use either a proprietary product or your own, just create some kind of a barrier with an oil-based product (like Vaseline or AD ointment) something that won’t be absorbed but rather prevent the color from soaking into your skin while you’re waiting for the color to set. My lovely hair stylist recommended Celeb Viral color a little over a year ago and I have used it ever since. It keeps my hair smooth, my purple hair vibrant, and just overall my hair hasn’t been healthier. Thank you so very much! It keeps my hair purple for over 18 weeks between hair appointments to refresh the color. I’m sure I could go longer without having to see my stylist thanks to using this to wonder shampoo, but l like to make sure my hair stays healthy. The only cons I would say aside from it being really good, is that it does stain the tub every time I use it, but I found borax soap cleans it up nicely. Aside from that, it’s a bit pricey for such a slim bottle and I have to use quite a bit because I have really long hair. Since my brunette hair can't hold purple color very long, I was going through desperate lengths to keep it looking fresh and vibrant. I was limiting hair washing down to 3 times a week, using the coldest water I could stand and top of the line shampoos/conditioner that either specialize in fade prevention or advertise color protection; I even installed a soft water filter in my shower head! My stylist recommended me get it colored every 6 weeks, due to it just washing down the drain in a matter of weeks and that is just something I can't afford to do that often; She educated me of this line and I cant live without it!! My hair looks as it did the day I left the salon. This stuff has saved me so much money because it is no longer necessary for me to get my hair colored every 6 weeks, but more like 3 or 4 times a year! Sometimes it dries my hair out, but nothing a leave in conditioner or deep conditioning treatment can't fix. If I could change one thing it would be them offering a much larger size, because I go through this every 2 – 3 months or so. Yes it will get everywhere and could stain your tub/shower but I use a tile cleaner with bleach and it eliminates all of it as if nothing happened. I also don't use this alone, I layer my favorite color protection shampoo over the colorwash and fade prevention(moisture adding) conditioner over the colorditioner, both assist with shine, keep it maintained and preventing my hair from getting brittle. Silver tresses looking kinda brassy or yellow? This product will take the yellow away and leave behind a healthy, shiny, ready to style head of hair. I am sometimes wary of bluing shampoo because some can leave that blue haired lady look but this one no. I leave mine on 10 minutes once every two weeks in place of normal shampoo and wala great gray hair. As a precaution if you have processed or bleached hair do a test first. This can just like other violet and blue based products become trapped in porous areas leaving a not so nice blotchy mess. It comes out but why risk it. Davines is a wonderful haircare company with an array of products to help with just about all hair concerns. Wonderful. One bottle of this should last over a year easily if used correctly. I recently just purchased this shampoo since I didn’t have a toning product for my blonde hair. First off, I really liked how heavy and cute the packaging was. When I opened it, the smell is not unpleasant but not something I would typically gravitate towards to. It’s something you quickly get used to as you use it more and more. The lather was something really luxurious as it instantly made my slightly dry and brassy hair feel a lot softer! By the end of my wash, I noticed a huge difference in the tone of my hair! I felt myself a bit underwhelmed when it came to this shampoo. Being a natural redhead, I've always feared that my red hair would dull with age, and turn into a ruddy mess. In an attempt to maybe prevent the future, I picked up both the shampoo and the conditioner. The shampoo smells lovely, just as the conditioner does, but on days where I would use a different shampoo and the Radiant Red conditioner, I found myself with the same results as the duo together would produce. Maybe it's just my perception, but I truly found no necessary need to have this shampoo for the sake of 'color-enhancing'. If judged as a standard shampoo, it fits the bill nicely. It cleans, smells good, etc. But as a coloring shampoo, it's underwhelming. Effectiveness As said before, it lacks any sort of noticeable punch in the red-enhancement department (at least for myself, the packaging said that it was suitable for all redheads, so I'm assuming that includes both natural and dyed). High expectations on this product. Recently had professionally dyed my extra long locks red and was looking for a good color preserving shampoo! Purchased this at Ulta on a great buy one get one 1/2 off sale. Pros of this shampoo: Smell, lathers wonderfully, softened hair. Cons: very little dye preservation. My hair bled more than usual; unsure if product, water, or dye itself. I waited 2 days before washing my hair after dying and used cold water and used this with the matching conditioner. John Frieda Radiant Red Shampoo did nothing for my hair. I have natural red hair but I dye it a little bit darker. I saw this advertised and thought maybe it would help maintain my hair. It doesn't. It's just like any other shampoo [I also used it with the conditioner]. There's no reason to pay the extra bucks for this product! This is what the website says about the product: "This advanced formula addresses the way red colour fades on three colour dimensions. With daily use it helps maintain rich, vibrant red tones. Enhanced anti-fading technology and a gentle formula preserves vivid red colour and magnifies shine. Attracts light and amplifies rich tones to transform red hair. For all shades of natural or colour-treated red hair." Those claims did not live up to what I experienced. Not even close. It was just a normal shampoo. Both the shampoo and conditioner smell great and the smell remains in your hair afterward, which I like. It cleans well and rinses clean. It's a good shampoo! But my problem is the fact that it doesn't do what it's advertised to do. My dyed red hair faded just as quick as usual. It didn't add shine. I don't recommend this shampoo. I love this brand and this product so much I've made it my new must have depositing shampoo! I've tried multiple brands, this is my favorite so far. My hair felt so clean and shiny and smooth! It didn't stain my skin or my shower, which really surprised me as that usually means it won't show up in my hair. This product and brand is really awesome because of the variety of colors it presents you with. I love they have a line just for roots because I’m now struggling with some stress greys. It’s easy to apply and doesn’t dye your tub which is awesome. The reason I gave it four stars is because it’s very drying. I know dyes are drying so people keep saying how soft it left their hair so I wanted to state this. I have a darker brunette color to my hair with some blonde highlights. For what I wanted the color did great. There was a nice rose gold tint to my hair and the greys were covered. It did take three times to get desired color but my hair is darker so it makes sense. Love this product! Have been using for almost two years. My hair is professionally colored, so this shampoo clings to certain strands & skips others. I feel it gives me lots of control over the intensity of color simply by the length of time I leave it on. I combine purple with silver (not offered here) and get beautiful highlights. This is literally the best shampoo I have ever used! The smell is amazing, it cleans your hair really well for a fast refresh and the best part about it……no white chalky powder residue! The fact is has no white chalky residue is brilliant for dark hair, as its a huge challenge to really get that stuff out and not look dull or grey. Got this after I dyed my hair a bright ginger red. Gave it several weeks worth of trying, but it strips my hair of the color so badly! I'm a natural blonde and one wash of this, even after sitting for 10 minutes, stripped so much color out of my hair that I was not too far away from my original shade. I use a colored conditioner as well, which is rendered useless when using this shampoo. My hair is also naturally curly, and this shampoo dries out my hair badly and loosens up my curl pattern so it's just frizzy.Kara Coraccio

I got this when I had bold purple hair to help maintain the vibrancy. This actually made the purple lighter and it very drying for a conditioner. I didn't quite like the texture either since it was thick and didn't spread evenly throughout my hair. I ended up using this when my hair looks brassy when I try to dye it blonde, it counteracts the orange tones. Even for that, it was just okay. Definitely not a product I would repurchase.rosie.q

I love this stuff! I dye my hair bright red using the x 2 total of 6 boxes with a developer of 30. I wash my hair about 2-3 times a week and yes my tub is bright pink! But this shampoo and conditioner has helped me so much. It puts back red that is being washed out, this shamp/cond claims to refresh brightens all red shades. These are color replenishing Shampoo and Conditioners. I do not use this every time I wash my hair, so I switch it out and use it every other wash. My “regular” shampoo and conditioner is . This system I have going on has helped my hair stay strong, long and min fall out. Remember COLD WATER! Also please see attached photo, the shampoo and conditioner is red, looks like hair dye without the smell. I am told by my stylist that I have fine hair but a lot of it. I was noticing that I was losing what looked like a lot of hair to me in the shower and in my brushes. I tried some different shampoos and conditioners and none seemed better than the others. I was having a particular problem with tangles when my hair was wet. I have very hard water so that is probably part of the issue. My sister has amazing hair, she grows it down to her waist and donates it to a wigs for kids program. She uses this shampoo and conditioner even though she doesn't color her hair so I tried it and it is working great for me. Detangles, my hair looks healthy, and I see less coming out in the shower and brushes. I use the shampoo and conditioner together every other day. On the in-between day I get it wet and just use a little conditioner from around where a low ponytail would be to the ends for detangling. I thought the fragrance was too strong at first but have gotten used to it now. I would still love a fragrance free or more subtle natural fragrance option but it is getting the results I wanted so I plan to keep using it.Lucy

I have tried many shampoos for my bleached blonde hair. This shampoo works amazing on my dry brittle hair. I personally think it works way better than Opalex. This shampoo leaves my hair silky, smooth and doesn't fade my colored hair either. While Opalex made my hair feel like straw hair. I highly recommend this shampoo if you want silky smooth hair. If your a blonde and need a good purple shampoo. I highly recommend Biolage Purple shampoos. It's the best purple shampoo I've ever used and I've used many. You won't be disappointed with any shampoo from Biolage. It's my new favorite brand and I won't be going back to any other brands.Amy

My hair has gotten extremely damaged from using OGX products that currently have a class action lawsuit against them for formaldehyde, cancer causing ingredients & instead of moisturizing & repairing it's drying it from the inside out, causing horrible damage you didn't see starting, until you have a ton of broken hair & even HAIR LOSS!! My hair last year was long to my belt loops. We thought was this because of coloring? Stopped coloring it last year, it's been growing out for awhile. Then for my last "trim" it turned into a chop because I've had really long hair over a decade & never has my hair looked or felt like this. Now my hair is right above my shoulders. I was doing my research on products before my haircut knowing after I cut it, I'm never using OGX products again even though I had 2 brand new large bottles. I asked my hairdresser about this brand & this color last (even though I'm growing out my hair I still have my old color treated lighter blonde ends). she said this product/brand is AMAZING & YES for me to try it I told her Ulta had the jumbos on SALE she said I won't regret it. Sorry so long but I have never found such an amazing shampoo & conditioner!! I also got the styling spray to wear my hair naturally Wavy to let it air dry & have less heat on my damaged hair & I'm hooked, 1000% pleased and recommend!! If you are not sure, they have travel size & you can try before you commit. I'm so happy I went with it, went with the jumbos & will continue to buy forever. This will remain my favorite purple shampoo! I love this stuff. I have medium/light(ish) blonde hair that tends to get brassy quick. I read the reviews on Amazon first before purchasing and fell in love. This shampoo is a deep deep purple, and it will stain your hands if you don't rinse them off. First hand experience here *pun intended* The smell of it wasn't gross like some other brands (looking at you Clairol Shimmer Lights). It actually will turn your hair ashy! I left this stuff on for ten minutes and I had that beautiful ash (almost purple tone) to it, which I don't mind. Less time left on, you'll still see results. I plan on purchasing this again, because this one is hands down the best for my thick processed blonde hair.christina.k

This shampoo is amazing. Ive recently bleached my own hair and then had highlights and still had a very yellow colour due to my hair being box dyed brown for so long. I tried toners I tried other purple shampoos but nothing worked. I tried this and the first time the difference was amazing. I used it again yesterday and its even better. My hair is no longer yellow. It does dry hair up like most of these things but Ive been going through a process with other well known repairing products which means Its cancelling out the dryness from using this. The product is very purple And like others say it does stain your hands but Ive found after standing in the shower while the shampoo is on I dont really notice it on my hands anymore once Im done. I try to leave on for about 5 minutes but havent timed it so not sure. Put it this way it doesnt need long. No need to walk around the house for an hour wrapper in cling film to let it process. This product is definitely one of the best buys Ive ever made For what it does the price is amazing Cant believe the hairdressers let this one be bought in shopsAnonymous

I primarily bought this brush set for metal ball eye cream applicator but I wound up loving all of the brushes in the set too. These were brushes that I never thought that I needed and wouldn’t use…but I was wrong. The lip scrub brush is amazing at getting the job done without getting the “goopy fingerâ€� from greasy scrubs. The dry brush is the perfect texture for light exfoliation, and doesn’t redden or irritate sensitive skin. The eye cream applicator feels amazing on tired, puffy eyes. I use the mask brush for primer application and I love how evenly it spreads the product. All of the brushes and the eye tool hold up to cleaning exceptionally well. I decided to give this product a try when it was on sale at Ulta. With my first use or two, I was impressed with how my hair looked. I could tell it toned down the brassiness and gave me a just left the salon look. But by the third or fourth use, my blonde hair my ends in particular were looking straight purplish grey. Despite only washing my hair a couple times a week, I figured maybe I was using it too much and should not be using it for every wash. So, I started alternating between this shampoo and a regular nourishing shampoo. However, it seems that doing this has given me such uneven tones throughout my hair some areas are brassy, some parts look platinum and some look grey a problem Ive never had before. This shampoo also stains my nails, cuticles, and scalp. Even though I had freshly washed hair, one day I had to put it up into a pony tail simply because when my hair was down you could see my part which was bright purple. It looked awful. Even rinsing my hair until the water runs clear still leaves me with purple in my scalp. Aside from the results of this shampoo, Im not a fan of how thin and runny the consistency is, because every time I dispense some, it seems to come with a fair amount of drippingwasted product which is a bummer, considering the price. Maybe a pump instead of a flip cap could prevent some of this Overall, whether I used this shampoo consistently or sparingly, the results were not good. All I have to say is, this conditioner is worth every penny (pricey) About my hair type, I have long, wavy, thick, course and frizz prone due to living in a hot and humid climate state, this is amazingly good on my hair. With this conditioner, it makes my hair so shiny, hydrated and smooth. I only use a little bit because it really does go on my hair due to how creamy this formulation is. I find that after washing it off all the way in the shower, I rinse my hair with very cold water until I don't feel any warmth from my hot shower. The cold water helps seal and smooth down the hair follicle. I then let hair air dry in a loose twisted bun with a large and soft velvet scruchie on top of my head. When it's completely dry, my hair falls with soft, bouncy, shiny and smooth waves that I don't need to style my hair with any hot tools. In comparison to naturally air drying my hair, I have used my flat iron and also curling iron, my hair looks like I had just gotten an amazing hair result from a hair salon. Highly recommend.maria.d

I bought this shampoo based on reviews. I have a foil done about 56 times a yr. I used this shampoo for the first time brightened my hair right away. Im a natural strawberry blonde had some issues with my last foil, I used this shampoo 4 times in one week which is alot. While this did brighten up my hair was a quick fix to what the stylist did to me my reg lady wasnt in I went to a diff stylist learned a few things. The new stylist fixed the issues that the inexperienced one messed up. First off I would like to tell you that what the last girl did to my hair was not knowing how to mix colors very well ended up with more red than blonde, I didnt want red but the Redken Blondage did help with that problem until I could get it done right. My new stylist explained to me about over using this type of shampoo because it can cause your hair to turn blue but Ive never had those issues. Purple is actually a color added to a shampoo to neutralize warm colors, warm colors being orange, yellow, red, purple shampoo turning your brassy warm tones into cooler tones more natural looking, the darker the purple, the better the shampoo. Purple shampoo does nothing for brunettes but if you have highlights its a must, also a must for silver hair to turn gray into a beautiful silver. If your hair is over processed or colored alot it can take on purple tones quickly. If you start to notice your blonde hair getting a silvery color its because your hair is very porous, then you want to back off of the purple shampoo bc it will start turning blue. I use purple about once a week. You shouldnt use purple shampoo but every 3rd wash because its very drying. Another way to keep your color fresh is to shampoo with clarifying shampoo to wash all oil residue buildup from other products, hairspray, gel, mousse, etc…rinse then use purple shampoo and let it sit for about 10 min. Since most of the brightening work is done with the shampoo you can really use any conditioner. I love Redken all soft conditioner. So far I like most all of Redken products they have great a sale going on this month sales and nobody can beat the sale of one liter size products this month better than Ulta.Anonymous

Absolutely great It arrived safely sealed in plastic so no risk of spilling. I was silly enough to dye my hair at home last week, with the lockdown its impossible to get a hold of a hairdresser. It turned out orange. Carrot colour. I found Fanola reviews online and bought it. Did 18 minutes followed by 5 minutes.It smells lovely. It left my hair a bit dry but nothing dramatic. The orangey shade was gone, maybe 75 of it, which was a miracle given how bad it was at the start. I sent a pic to my hairdresser yesterday and they said it looks really ok now.The bottle is big so itll last ages though Im hoping I wont need it again.The only thing careful when you apply it, make sure theres nothing around you. It doesnt stain face but its a shampoo so you may spill some of it on the floor etcAnonymous

Oz Hair and Beauty has not let me down once in regards to this 🙂 PRODUCT: Fanola orange made a noticeable difference in the brightness of my highlights in a short amount of time – it reduced the orange/coppery appearance, which tends to be an issue for me as my hair is naturally very dark. It work well with curly hair as it doesn't dry it out as much as your typical shampoos. With that in mind, you will still need to style your hair using other products specific to your hair type – not an issue as Fanola Orange still does what it sets out to do. My only issue with it is that I am not a fan of the smell – it has a hint of musk to it, which I personally do not enjoy. It is not overwhelmingly strong but something to keep in mind if aromas are important to you. Other than that it is a good product that does what it sets out to do very effectively. You only need to use a small amount roughly twice-3 times a week so I imagine a bottle will last for a good while. The directions advise you to use gloves – I haven't done this (whoops) but thankfully there hasn't been any signs of staining on my hands nor on my bathroom floors. Just be careful when using this particular product if you have very light/bright blonde shades as according to other reviews it can turn your hair green – be sure to do your own research or speak to a stylist around this if you need more information.Sharleen A.

I was in the process of going from dark brown natural with box dye on top to blonde for a change. My hair was orange at the end and in the middle. I cant risk more bleach just yet as I dont want it to break. It was in an unbearable state. I tried a toner and didnt help so I gave this a go.It says apply to wet hair leave on for 5 mins and rinse but having seen it on you tube I put it on dry hair on the orange parts and left it for 10 I probably should have done 5 mins longer but got scaredMy hair is not perfect and I can still see tinges of orange but this has saved my life and its not noticeable unless you really look. I really wish Id have took a before and after picture because the results was unbelievable and I really didnt think anything would help my orange.As a natural dark brown with box dye on top to cover the grey I was traumatised bleaching my hair and seeing this orange until I found this. The condition of my hair is fantastic due to use of olaplex Im guessing and Im going to bleach again in a month. Im also going to use this as the toner rather than another toner, because I can only imagine once I bleach again and use this my hair will be exactly where I want it.I also bought and used a bit of the no more yellowIn the yellow parts, but for my hair dark the no more orange worked wonders.Definitely recommend 100 if like me you are going slow and steady on bleaching and want to tone down the orange to make it presentable Until you achieve your result this is the product for you.Anonymous

I tried this shampoo today and for the first time in months, my hair doesn't look and feel dry after blow-drying. My aging, colored hair is shoulder length and until I tried this shampoo I seriously considered getting a few inches whacked off! This creamy shampoo tamed the frizzies and left my hair looking nurtured and cared for without that weighed down look. I also used the conditioner and the combination is just what my hair was crying out for. The bonus for me is that both products have an extremely light, clean scent; not ridiculously fragranced like a lot of hair products on the market today. This is my go to shampoo. It comes in the color kit and worked so much better than the shampoo I had that I checked to see if they sold it separately. They do! Since then I use this exclusively. I have tried many, many shampoos that are purported to protect color and reduce frizz. Nothing works like this shampoo, I can feel the difference even as I'm shampooing. It smells wonderful and my hair dries about 100% smoother and shinier than any number of high end brands. It smelled great and lathered well. I also felt like my color was a touch brighter. However, after washing, I was half way through the drying process when my scalp and roots started feeling very waxy and greasy. My roots were heavy looking and stuck together. It was not giving me fresh clean hair vibes at all. It took about two days for the greasy feel to semi-wear off. I'm sad I wasted a hair washing day on this shampoo. I wanted to give this product some appreciation because I'm a bit of a hair snob. It lathers great (a little goes a long way), smells great, hair feels clean yet not stripped, and helps with frizz. I can't wait to try this after my next color service to see how well it protects the color. It might be a tad heavy for fine/thin hair that is overall healthy. I always love ion products for coloring and toning my hair after bleaching, and this aftercare shampoo and conditioner line proved to be the same.. almost. The shampoo I found worked very well to keep my color bright and non brassy, but it left my hair so dry, even with the conditioner after. I started to mix some of the shampoo in with my Loreal Dream Lengths shampoo and it helped a lot. The conditioner is great for my hair all over, non greasy, conditions well, smells great. But because I'm working on healing my hair in certain areas I ended up using the Ion conditioner on my roots, top of my head to about midway down, where I would add the Loreal Dream Lengths conditioner, which as I state in my review of that Loreal conditioner, it leaves my roots and upper head hair greasy but perfectly midway down to my roots, so it's actually a perfect mix for me. I would use the Ion conditioner all over with not one issue, and sometimes do, but am still working to repair my ends. Overall great product line from Ion. My mom now uses it too and I will buy again .kristin .t

I use Arctic fox hair color to keep my hair. A vibrant mixture of purple and red. Red is a notoriously difficult color to keep in your hair because of its molecular size compared to other colors. It doesn't lock into the cuticle as quickly and this product helps with that. I not only use it right after coloring my hair, I also use it beyond that. Rather than washing my hair every single day which would strip the color right out of it, I rinse my hair and then condition it with this product. This allows me to keep my hair looking good until the roots grow in and I have to take care of that. Keeps my color from fading quickly.Kimberly G.
