Best Shampoo For Thick Asian Hair (2023 Update)

This shampoo is holy grail. My hair felt better after one use! Hubby bought me the huge shampoo and conditioner I loved it so much! I recommend this to all ladies, especially those who have bleached or dyed hair. It makes my frizzy, wavy hair manageable and soft. It doesn’t have an intense smell, but it does smell good! The shampoo cleanses without stripping, and with this product I can go about a week without washing. I do rotate this with my purple shampoo, and I love that I don’t have to worry about this making my bleached blonde hair brassy in between purple shampoo uses. I honestly will repurchase, even though it is more expensive than products I would typically buy, because the value is so great. Quality hair product that lasts and WORKS.sarah.v

Although this makes my hair shiny and silky, my hair is falling out excessively when I brush and in the shower. I know you lose up to a 100 strand a day, but I'm losing an unusual amount. Never experienced this. I brushed through my whole head last night and had a whole clump of hair. Took a shower the next morning, then brushed again, and lost another huge handful of hair. It hadn't even been a whole day. It wasn't a gradual fall out of hair. I can only assume it is this shampoo because I don't use any other products on my head, other than its a ten miracle leave in product to detangle, but that never caused unusual fall out. However, my mom uses this shampoo and apparently it works good for her hair and we both love it's a ten, so I feel bad leaving this review but unfortunately my scalp didn't have a good reaction.Elizabeth

I wanted to love this because it smells really good in the bottle. I used in for the first time and when my hair air dried (I rarely blow dry anymore) it felt heavy, brittle and dry, but my roots were greasy, and my scalp started itching. I thought maybe it was a fluke and I was in a hurry and maybe didn't wash it out well. I used it a second time and really made sure to shampoo everything and rinse well. Same thing. I started losing my hair 2.5 years ago when my ex and I split. 28 years together, so the stress and heartache were unbearable. I lost two-thirds of my hair! With my profession, I have to wear my hair up to work. My ponies, buns, and braids were embarrassing because you could see my scalp because my hair was so thin. I actually used to fill it in with eyeshadow and a blush brush to try to hide it. I also bought those products that you spray colored fibers in your hair, but what a mess. This product has increased the appearance of the thickness of my hair!! I can’t say whether it has actually made it thicker, but it LOOKS thicker, which is better than thin, limp hair. The volume is amazing and the fragrance is divine. No seriously, it.is.divine. You just can’t beat it for around $8 a bottle too! Please I beg you don't ever change or tamper with this product line, it's absolutely perfect. I have very fine hair and not very much of it either. I've tried everything over the moon and deduced my poor hair quality to a bad luck of the draw – that is ultra-fine hair. For the most part of my life I haven't been able to grow my hair past my shoulder without it looking stringy, and split ends are common place. I changed my diet, ate more greens, I used every product on the market to lightly moisturize and/or deep moisturize, not being able to figure what was wrong with my hair. I stopped blowdrying, straightening, I used sprays, masks and oils. I even stopped washing my hair as often in hopes to solve my hair woes. Nothing has worked and it's all either made my hair super greasy and limp or super dry and dull. Until, I recently found myself in a grocery store looking for a shampoo/conditioner. Overwhelmed by the task I concluded that they must all be the same thing so I may as well find the one that smells the best. That's when I came across this product line. I've been using it now for a week and I can't believe my hair. It's GLOWING. I no longer need to use a detangler after the shower and my head feels super clean without stripping my scalp dry. I can go 2 days now without washing my hair! Which is a HUGE surprise since that's never been the case. I also must I say my hair is soooo sooo soft! I want to cry, I'm so happy I've found something that makes me feel good. It's shinier, healthier and softer than ever before and as a plus, it smells like paradise. I've been working in the hair industry for about a decade and have tried many many shampoos, my favorite shampoo is about $100 for 33 floz of shampoo and conditioner and it is very moisturizing but it has keratin and protein so when I need a shampoo strictly for moisture when I have protein overload, I discovered this! I went through every brand at the store to find a sulfate free shampoo that was hydrating, low in chemicals, fragrances and silicones and something that actually cleans the scalp. It's winter so my hair can become very dry as I have more textured hair, It is a great shampoo to remove oils, buildup, product and pollution. It is also very light because the first ingredient is aloe. and it has a surfactant but so it does soap up a little bit but it is not sulfate so it will not dry out your scalp. At its price tag, I really am so glad we found this because a little goes a long way. I do recommend finding another shampoo for some protein and keratin, but this is a good cleansing shampoo. I have tried other things from this line and did not like them as much as this but give it a shot!Laila

To preface. I'm a 25 female. Natural light brown hair, bleached low maintenance blonde. Thick wavy frizzy hair that reaches the lower bottom of my back. Prone to split ends and breakage at the bottom of my hair. No extensions. I wanted to add this so people with similar hair types can relate. So to start, I'm so torn on this shampoo… I tried it for 3 weeks and I do like that this shampoo and conditioner cuts down on my overall frizz and made my hair so much smoother and less likely to tangle which is exactly what I was looking for. BUT there is some things about this shampoo I just can't ignore. First off the smell, I just can't get past it. It reminds me of a menthol cigarette. It just smells sooo minty and lingers after washing. Some people may not mind the smell but if my shampoo is going to linger, I'd prefer it to smell like something other than strong mint and almost a tea tree smell. Second, when the conditioner sets for a couple minutes before rinsing out I've noticed that my back and neck where the product has been laying in my hair will get very cold and tingly. Almost like how when you have a breath mint you get the same effect in your mouth but it's on your body this time. This alone made me decide not to repurchase. I like my shower water very warm and I found myself constantly turning the heat up because while the conditioner set I would get extremely cold from the tingly feeling. It can be overwhelming sometimes and linger even after washing the area thoroughly and drying off. I would assume if this was a shampoo and conditioner without the minty smell that I was having an allergic reaction to it but since it has that smell I just really don't know if the tingle is intended or not. And lastly, I've noticed a lot of small breakage at the top of my hair by my scalp. I'm not prone to breakage that high and only notice it after a fresh bleach every once and a while although it is usually very rare for me. I should note that it has been 3 months since my last bleach since I am a low maintenance blonde and I was not using this product during my last bleach. I also take a lot measures to protect my hair that could be the cause of breakage that high. So at this point only thing I've changed is this shampoo and conditioner. I've decided not to finish the rest of the bottle due to concerns about further breakage. This is just my experience. Some people seem to love it but it's a no from me. I hope this helps some people on the fence after reading conflicting reviews. I've switched to Joyco kpac reconstructing shampoo that has also given me the same desirable results so far with a much better smell, no breakage, and most importantly no tingly feeling on by skin.Lexi

I saw the hair loss reviews but if the hair is coming out at the follicle then that is definitely health related not from a shampoo. Shampoo cannot cause hair loss unless maybe a severe reaction to the scalp and there's swelling and for whatever reason the follicle comes out with it but that is highly unlikely. But anyways back to my review lol this is the most hydrating gentle shampoo I've ever used it's perfect! It cleans my hair and makes my scalp feel so refreshed but my hair is detangled and moisturized! And the conditioner is so creamy and moisturizing! The scents for both are so relaxing to me and my hair and scalp are taken care of with this set of shampoo and conditioner. my hair is so soft, shiny and perfectly moisturized. Definitely for medium to thick hair types unless you have finer very porous hair then I think you'd like it. I have an oily scalp with wavy waist length thick hair (many thin/low porosity strands). Color treated blonde. Problems: fluffy/poofy hair, greasy roots, dry ends, seborrheic dermatitis (on back of scalp) 1. Product longevity: I only used the allotted card sample packet of 10 mL shampoo & 10 mL conditioner, which I was prepared to not be enough for my long hair. It was perfect! It went a long way, which was a pleasant surprise right off the bat. 2. Scent: the fragrance is pleasant, light but it hangs in there, even into the next day. The scent is unisex. It just smells very *clean,* like a fresh aquatic citrus. Although it’s subtle, it is noticeable enough to get a “ooh your hair smells good” when someone goes in for the hug. 3. Effectiveness: this cleaned my hair so well, without making it feel overly dried or stripped. I have a hard time getting a good product that works with my dermatitis, and actually calmed the flare up I was having. Day 2 after wash, my head was so much less itchy than it was all week. My hair stayed clean and free of grease throughout all of day 1 and 2. Paired with the conditioner, my hair was smooth, shiny, soft (but not overly fluffy/full of poofy flyaways). It felt hydrated and my ends looked good. I’ve been faithful to olaplex for the past 2 years, but think I may have a new fave. I noticed that with olaplex, my hair began getting greasy SO quickly. I was getting greasy same day as wash. I still love it (that LATHER and scent tho!), but I think it’s too rich and moisture-focused for regular use given my oily scalp. My seborrheic dermatitis was getting worse and having intense flare ups. Anyway, everyone’s hair is different, and can change in different seasons, so I really don’t think there’s a “one size fits all” hair product that will be best for everyone at all times. That being said, transitioning into warmer, humid spring/summer weather, I’m really pleased to have found this product. It’ll be great for clean summer hair.jessicaeve1023

For reference: I have LONG hair with a naturally wavy/curly texture, and with that comes frizz. A lot of it – even though I'm very aware of how to tame it (naturally kept or with a blow-out). My hair behaves weirdly, i'll just put it that way – it's difficult to achieve perfectly smooth styles. HOWEVER… I've been using OUAI products (I started with the THICK SHAMP+THICK COND.) for a little bit over a year now & all I can say is…I will NEVER go back to anything else, ever, unless I find something AS extraordinary as this brand. It's like magic in a bottle, to me at least. I have never experienced better hair (at home, done by me) in my entire life. It's insanely smooth & silky. I have such minimal frizz now. I normally need to blow dry AND straighten my hair, but I am beyond satisfied with just the blow-dried results. The only cons, I would say, is that because there's such rich and moisturizing ingredients (love to see it!) your hair can become a tad oily after the third day, even second sometimes. You just need to figure out what the right amount of product is for you so that you don't over do it. The second con, though it's nothing too crazy, would be that sometimes I end up needing more product in the shower, as it doesn't lather suuuuper well – but again, this depends on hair length and the amount that you know you need. I guess I just wish it foamed a bit more, is all. BUT these are such small things that can be resolved & aren't much of a big deal. For the oily con as mentioned above, this is why I switched to the MEDIUM line & I feel like it has helped. The THICK line may have heavier ingredients. I have tried SO many different shampoos and conditioners. A lot from drugstore and high end. And lately I've noticed I've been shedding more than usual. I have been using pureology a lot. I've used strength cure, hydrate and the nano works good line. But for some reason the pureology strength cure especially really irritated my scalp and makes me lose soooo much hair. So I got the ouai thick hair shampoo and conditioner and the first time I used it my shedding was only like 10 hair strands! I've washed my hair 4 times with it now and my hair scalp feels so clean but the shampoo makes washing my hair so easy and doesn't tangle my hair. And the conditioner is chefs kiss. I barely have to use any and my hair is so conditioned after the shampoo/conditioner. My hair is so soft, shiny, clean and my natural waves/curls look really pronounced since using the set. Also they smell AMAZING I want a perfume in the shampoo scent! I got the leave in, oil, and curl cream and they all work together beautifully and don't make my hair feel producty which I like because pureolgy always leaves my hair feeling kinda gross when I use their leave ins. Anyway I totally recommend this set and if you're getting greasy hair from this set try the medium or fine hair set. This just probably isn't for your hair type. This conditioner (and it’s matching shampoo) is absolutely luxurious. Smells beyond amazing, great rich ingredients, and conditions/detangles beautifully. I have fine, straight hair (that has been damaged from intense health issues) so I was nervous this would be too heavy but it isn’t! It definitely provides more moisture and hydration (compared to other products that are geared towards more fine hair/oily scalp) but still doesn’t weigh down my hair. I really like this refill pouch! Grateful to not buy another plastic bottle. This is my second purchase of this shampoo. I have fine and straight hair and am always in need of good volume products. I really like this shampoo! I am sensitive to a lot of ingredients commonly found in cosmetics, this shampoo does not irritate my skin and gives a good lather. During the winter I found my hair was becoming more dry and so I started co washing with this conditioner. Instead of using shampoo every 4th day I began using this as the shampoo every other time. My hair is fine and highlighted and wavy to curly. I leave it on for 3 to 5 minutes and am particular about scrubbing the scalp and then rinse as usual and that's it. My hair does not feel exactly like it does after using shampoo but it is clean and full of body and it saves my hair from that dryness some of us may experience with indoor heat in the winter. I'll keep it up in the summer too due to indoor air conditioning. I love all the Rahua products I have purchased. I did buy a leave in treatment for the hair and realized it contained some coconut oil and my hair does not like coconut oil—too drying for me, but not for everyone.Karen

As a person who has dry, frizzy hair, I really wanted something that would soften my hair as it used to be before straightening and using other heat products on my hair. So I instantly bought this tsubaki hair shampoo, along with its conditioner, as I have read many excellent reviews about it on YesStyle. First off, one thing I really enjoy about this shampoo in comparison to other shampoos I have tried is that it has a pump instead of a simple lid. This is so convenient as it measures how much you need for your hair length. My hair is medium length so one pump is enough for me. I also love the smell of this product. I don't know how to explain it but it smells sweet and fresh and many of my friends have complimented me about the scent of my hair. After washing it off I personally felt a my hair to be much more softer and untangled so I think it worked. However, after blowdrying my hair I feel like my hair is back as it used to be, with maybe only a 20% improvement. I think this product may not give instant results and may need to be used over a few weeks. I will come back to give an update after using it for a few weeks.Mariam

Super moisturizing and cleansing but doesn't weigh down your hair. I would like to share my very real opinion about this product. I have used other clarifying shampoo products in the past that I was not fond of so I had some reservations. The bottle has a very simple but cute design and I like the slim cylinder style. On the bottle it says Ginger Root + Charcoal. So I was very curious as to how this shampoo was going to smell. My shampoo has to smell good! I fell in love with this shampoo right away from the amazing smell it had. If I had to choose a smell for my shampoo this would be it. I could describe it as that fresh salon smell… but better. I always wash my hair twice and especially with clarifying shampoo, but I dont think I would have to with this shampoo because it feels clean after the first time. My experience with past clarifying shampoo that I have used was that it left my hair feeling very dry and stiff like. So that was my worry with this stuff. After blow drying I was quickly surprised by how soft my hair was. It felt great. I have purple hair and most of the time I keep my hair purple. Clarifying shampoo tends to strip color from my hair. I have used this shampoo several times and have yet to see that happen. I must say I really liked this shampoo and will be buying it in the future. I believe anyone could benefit from this shampoo as well. Colored or non colored, dry hair, thin or thick. I think it's a well rounded product and everyone should give it a try. I hopped in the shower and squeezed a fairly generous amount of shampoo into my hand. I have long, fine hair which I wash daily as it is prone to becoming oily. As soon as I started massaging my scalp, I noticed a few of things: Firstly, the lather is VERY rich. My hair was literally puffing up and volumizing in the shower as I massaged. I don't know that I've ever had an experience quite like this with any shampoo I've used previously. Secondly, I was very surprised that this shampoo had a soft, botanical scent. I didn't SMELL ginger or charcoal (however one might expect charcoal to smell). Thirdly, I felt something happening to my scalp almost immediately. I want to call it a tingle, but it wasn't quite a tingle. My scalp felt tighter. I guess the only way to describe it would be to say I felt something WORKING. When you use a shampoo regularly, it can cause buildup you don't even take notice of until you switch to something else. I could actually feel this shampoo clarifying my hair. That sometimes slippery feeling left behind after using regular shampoo and/or conditioner did not occur with this shampoo. The last test of this shampoo, was my drying experience. As I mentioned, my hair is fine. There are days when blow drying my hair causes static and flatness. This shampoo made individual strands behave differently (in the best way). I had volume in my hair as the end result. The strands were just falling into place and my hair feels fuller. This is a salon quality shampoo. I have no doubts about it. I still feel it "working" on my scalp after rinsing and blow drying my hair. That lovely botanical scent is retained after blow drying, too. I'm so surprised and pleased with this shampoo!Lauren441

I am about 3/4 through my first bottle and it’s lasted me 1 month – I absolutely love it. My hair is noticeable fuller and bouncier after using this and is super soft to the touch. I have oily fine hair so this definitely fits my criteria for a solid conditioner. Special kudos to the smell. Oh. Em. Gee. I was so close to not even trying this, I had been given a sample to try and almost gave it away but I finally tried it after a long stressful day and omg.. the smell alone sent me to heaven. I mean I know most hair products smell good but this is like a perfume for your hair, which this company actually makes a hair fragrance (I did some research after trying this mask) so I'm not surprised that this smells so good, but I mean it REALLY smells good! And as for the results, my hair is bleached and has about 6 different colors in it, it's long, down to my butt, and VERY dry/brittle. I didn't think the mask would do much but it doesn't have that dry tangled feeling to it like normal when I wash it, it felt sooo luxurious and soft. I am so thoroughly impressed, that I ordered a full size bottle right after trying it. It's THAT good! And I suggest getting it on eBa-ha-y or Mercri so it's not super expensive either! I have just spent the last 15 minutes trying to take out the biggest knot in my hair thanks to this and it’s equally offensive conditioner buddy! In the end I’ve had to cut out a chunk of my hair which looked like half a dreadlock! I have very little hair as it is; I’m on the verge of tears. I won’t be buying this again, I suggest you save your money too. I rarely develop eczema from shampoos. I bought their gold line and loved it so I tried their ginseng and really loved the volume but after one week, I found my eczema behind my ears and it started peeling my skin. Such a bummer because I loved everything about it! It really brings out the natural curl in my hair. I prefer using clarifying shampoo and then leaving this on for 15 minutes. My hair feels noticeably soft and healthy. I never knew how curly my hair naturally was until I started using this. I would say I would have identified my hair as 2A before using this mask and a 2C after. I basically look like Taylor Swift on her debut album now. I do think it is expensive but for what it does I am happy with the price for it. I find that I do not use much at all each time I use it so it lasts a long time. I have experienced hair loss with it but nothing that would worry me. I would say normally I would lose 5-10 hairs in the shower but now it is more like 10-15. This conditioner left my hair silky and soft. It claims to detangle the hair and that’s true. Other than that I didn’t notice anything special about this. I think it does the job for softening and detangling and that’s about it. The other claims I don’t know about. It’s also overpriced for something that’s not special. I can get something cheaper that does the same thing. The reason why it only has 3 stars is because of the smell. It doesn’t smell that good. It reminds me of a more masculine scent. I smell musk or a woody note. I know many people like that and for me, it’s OK. I rather have a more feminine scent for my hair products. So I wound up buying this because I really wanted a better conditioner and have noticed over the years that every salon and every hair dresser I go to uses this in my hair. My hair always feels great after so maybe this was the key. Let me tell you how amazing it is. My hair has never been so soft and shiny. I can just run my fingers through it to get all the knots out in the shower. I have extremely thick hair and a little bit goes a long way with this product. Definitely going to continue to use.Sarah

I got impulsive over the pandemic and bleached my hair at home. It looks great but I'd have to cut off another inch with each blow dry because it was so fried. I switched to Maple products and found that the Silk18 line works best for me. Obviously my hair is still damaged but it feels so much better and it's a thousand times more manageable. It also doesn't kill my hair dye like some other shampoos I've used. Overall would recommend for damaged and dyed hair.Audrey D.

I used this shampoo with the Silk18 conditioner. It has a nice scent, lasts a long time and at a great price. I absolutely loved the way my hair looked and smelled with this. Incredibly soft and luscious. Unfortunately I had to stop using it after I moved to Colorado because it wasn’t hydrating enough for my scalp. It did leave and keep my hair hydrated, but my scalp itchy. If you want your hair to have a great shine and texture, you should definitely give this a shot.aaron.w

Great scent, gentle on hair, nice natural ingredients. I use a lot of product each time I wash my hair – I need to lather-rinse-repeat 3 times before my hair is clean, which I think can be improved if I added e.g. some tea tree oil to the shampoo. It would still require a large dollop for it to lather up, though. I only wash once a week, so if I washed daily, one application would probably be enough. If you're wanting an all natural shampoo that can deep-clean that head of hair you have then you've found the right product for the job, and I mean RIGHT PRODUCT! This stuff will absolutely flabergast you, for as soon as you apply it and rub it throughout your hair and scalp you will be amazed at how it "INSTANTLY" washes away any soil, residue, etc. It truly is magic. Now, on the downside, I do not see it providing any real added volume, but then again I think they intend for you to use their conditioner along with it to somehow fulfill this feat. I want to start this review off by saying I've used this shampoo for nearly 1 year and my review is completely honest from my own experience ofcourse. I first got this shampoo when I've started to feel like my hair could use a little boost / better shampoo. I searched online for one and bumped into this shampoo and after reading the comments over I got convinced and bought it. At first I was really pleased with the shampoo, it felt refreshing, smelled like citruses which I love and made my hair dryer which was a plus for me since my hair is oily often. BUT, it didn't take long for me to notice negative results. My hair progressly got thinner and thinner, started from seeing some hair on my palms when I moved my hand through, to the point I've seen bunch of hair on my towel after I showered. After realizing my hair is falling apart, I decided to change back to normal shampoo to see if there is any difference and there was, my hair got back to normal after a month or two. It took me too long to realize I should stop using this shampoo since I didn't imagine that this shampoo is the cause for my excessive hair loss. Anyways, this is my absolute genuine review from my experience, I don't know what caused this but appraently I'm not the only one aswell from what I've read online so yea. Thinning hair is a constant niggle, but this product seems to work to cut back on that. It has oils in it so with fine hair, it leaves it a bit too oily for my taste but hair is shiny and there is more left at the end of the day and that's a plus! Recommend it!!innerart

I have an oily scalp with wavy waist length thick hair (many thin/low porosity strands). Color treated blonde. Problems: fluffy/poofy hair, greasy roots, dry ends, seborrheic dermatitis (on back of scalp) 1. Product longevity: I only used the allotted card sample packet of 10 mL shampoo & 10 mL conditioner, which I was prepared to not be enough for my long hair. It was perfect! It went a long way, which was a pleasant surprise right off the bat. 2. Scent: the fragrance is pleasant, light but it hangs in there, even into the next day. The scent is unisex. It just smells very *clean,* like a fresh aquatic citrus. Although it’s subtle, it is noticeable enough to get a “ooh your hair smells good” when someone goes in for the hug. 3. Effectiveness: this cleaned my hair so well, without making it feel overly dried or stripped. I have a hard time getting a good product that works with my dermatitis, and actually calmed the flare up I was having. Day 2 after wash, my head was so much less itchy than it was all week. My hair stayed clean and free of grease throughout all of day 1 and 2. Paired with the conditioner, my hair was smooth, shiny, soft (but not overly fluffy/full of poofy flyaways). It felt hydrated and my ends looked good. I’ve been faithful to olaplex for the past 2 years, but think I may have a new fave. I noticed that with olaplex, my hair began getting greasy SO quickly. I was getting greasy same day as wash. I still love it (that LATHER and scent tho!), but I think it’s too rich and moisture-focused for regular use given my oily scalp. My seborrheic dermatitis was getting worse and having intense flare ups. Anyway, everyone’s hair is different, and can change in different seasons, so I really don’t think there’s a “one size fits all” hair product that will be best for everyone at all times. That being said, transitioning into warmer, humid spring/summer weather, I’m really pleased to have found this product. It’ll be great for clean summer hair.jessicaeve1023

For reference: I have LONG hair with a naturally wavy/curly texture, and with that comes frizz. A lot of it – even though I'm very aware of how to tame it (naturally kept or with a blow-out). My hair behaves weirdly, i'll just put it that way – it's difficult to achieve perfectly smooth styles. HOWEVER… I've been using OUAI products (I started with the THICK SHAMP+THICK COND.) for a little bit over a year now & all I can say is…I will NEVER go back to anything else, ever, unless I find something AS extraordinary as this brand. It's like magic in a bottle, to me at least. I have never experienced better hair (at home, done by me) in my entire life. It's insanely smooth & silky. I have such minimal frizz now. I normally need to blow dry AND straighten my hair, but I am beyond satisfied with just the blow-dried results. The only cons, I would say, is that because there's such rich and moisturizing ingredients (love to see it!) your hair can become a tad oily after the third day, even second sometimes. You just need to figure out what the right amount of product is for you so that you don't over do it. The second con, though it's nothing too crazy, would be that sometimes I end up needing more product in the shower, as it doesn't lather suuuuper well – but again, this depends on hair length and the amount that you know you need. I guess I just wish it foamed a bit more, is all. BUT these are such small things that can be resolved & aren't much of a big deal. For the oily con as mentioned above, this is why I switched to the MEDIUM line & I feel like it has helped. The THICK line may have heavier ingredients. I've used strength cure, hydrate and the nano works good line. But for some reason the pureology strength cure especially really irritated my scalp and makes me lose soooo much hair. So I got the ouai thick hair shampoo and conditioner and the first time I used it my shedding was only like 10 hair strands! I've washed my hair 4 times with it now and my hair scalp feels so clean but the shampoo makes washing my hair so easy and doesn't tangle my hair. And the conditioner is chefs kiss. I barely have to use any and my hair is so conditioned after the shampoo/conditioner. My hair is so soft, shiny, clean and my natural waves/curls look really pronounced since using the set. Also they smell AMAZING I want a perfume in the shampoo scent! I got the leave in, oil, and curl cream and they all work together beautifully and don't make my hair feel producty which I like because pureolgy always leaves my hair feeling kinda gross when I use their leave ins. Anyway I totally recommend this set and if you're getting greasy hair from this set try the medium or fine hair set. This just probably isn't for your hair type. I have zero buildup with this and have perfectly clean,soft hair.Hair enthusiast

This became my everyday shampoo for when I wanted a good cleanse, soft strands and volume. I have an oily scalp problem. While it doesn't help delay the oil production, this is able to provide a thorough cleanse, leaving my hair (and the room) with this refreshing orange blossom scent. My most favourite thing about it is that it adds a little Zhoosh to my locks. My hair looks bouncy, with volume and, feels lightweight. It's silicone & sulphate free, and doesn't lather much. The one issue I do have with this is that since the formulation is runny and light, I have to use a considerable amount each time. I feel bad that it's all emptied out, but thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This is one I'd definitely repurchase.LevrBel

I had high hopes for this shampoo but it’s terrible for oily hair. My hair gets quite oily and dirty and I normally wash it every 3 days, I had never had issues with my other shampoos to cleanse my hair in the past but I did with this shampoo. There was nearly no bubbles even when I rub it in my palms before applying to my hair, and so it’s extremely difficult to clean my hair. The first time I had to use 4 pumps to even get my hair clean! Which is a lot considering how small the bottle is honestly. I haven’t had any noticeable difference either in terms of hair volume or texture, so I’ll strongly suggest that you don’t buy it, and especially DONT if you have oily hair because this shampoo doesn’t even clean it well. I STOPPED SEARCHING AFTER I FINALLY FOUND THIS SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER. I HAVE REALLY THIN, GREASY AND UNRULY HAIR, IT'S SO THIN IT ALWAYS TANGLES. I HAD TRIED SO MANY SHAMPOOS TO CREATE VOLUME AND HYDRATE MY HAIR, BUT NONE WORKED. THIS SHAMPOO SMELLS GREAT AND A TINY AMOUNT GOES A LONG WAY. I LIKE TO LEAVE THE CONDITIONER FOR JUST A COUPLE OF MINUTES LONGER. AFTER USING IT A WEEK, I HAVE REALLY NOTICED THE THE DIFFERENCE IN MY HAIR'S TEXTURE AND VOLUME. IT IS EASIER TO MANAGE AND I ACTUALLY GOT A COUPLE OF COMPLIMENTS SAYING THAT MY HAIR LOOKED SO HEALTHY AND SHINY.YSP

I have the conditioner in this I love how it feels on my scalp, you really don’t need to use much. I only got the conditioner to try I will be picking up the Shampoo. I also have the huge bottle of this I picked up from a local hair salon my mom was looking for a shampoo she loves and we got buy one get one halve off paid half and half because she doesn’t use conditioner because her hair is really thin. This would’ve cost me almost $40 I payed $30 but I really am trying to focus more on my hair health and skin health and of course my overall health. My hair was definitely voluminous after use, it smells heavenly, I love the cool tingling sensation which I believe is Rosemary and Mint. Love those ingredients. I’d highly recommend this because it’s good and it will last you longer that most drugstore Shampoo/ conditioner. A little bit really goes a long way. I save money in other ways ,but I really am picky about my conditioner. I love for it to not weigh my thinner hair down , color protection smell amazing!jessica.a

I have lost almost half of my hair due to covid. I have always had a lot of hair, but it was fine. When I started loosing my hair I had no idea where to go, but I knew I wanted to invest in a quality shampoo to help protect the hair I did have left. I absolutely love the way this shampoo feels on my scalp. It is very very soothing. I only wash my hair 2-3X a week, and my hair stays looking nice until my next wash. I do believe my hair looks more full as well with this shampoo! I would definitely recommend this shampoo to anyone with thin hair.jordan.w
