There was no seal on the bottle itself, which made me wonder if this was a previously returned item. Without a seal or any kind of wrapping around the bottle's top, some of the product was kind of congealed around the top, so I could immediately smell it. I knew then that I was sending it back. My daughter is mixed with Pacific Islander, German and Black. Her hair is loosely curled. We've spent awhile finding a product that does not grease or weigh her hair down or does not control it at all. This product keeps the curls beautifully formed and smells amazing. My 3year old was struggling with bad breakage. Although she's biracial, her curls are larger and only in the back while the top of her head is straight. Her hair began to get very thin. She already has fine strands but her head was full. Her hair started to weaken/get brittle and break leaving it looking flat and small. Typical products I used in my hair were producing too much weight on hers after a while and too strong. I started using this along with a satin bonnet and a little sweet almond oil on her ends to keep them hydrated at night. This shampoo and conditioner sealed the deal! I haven't seen any breakage at bath time or in the mornings! I think she's on track to getting her thickness back plus this stuff smells amazing but subtle, not perfumy. I struggle to find products that work for my hair. I very clearly have three different textures of hair on my head. Unless Im wearing my hair straightened – i couldn't find any products that moisturized my hair but didnt leave it weighed down or stringy and encouraged lasting curls without leave it crunchy. I now add a bottle to every baby shower gift I buy because there’s no better kid’s shampoo. Expensive but you really only need a tiny bit so a bottle lasts a long time. The only thing reminiscent of "coconut milk" in this product is the aroma. The liquid is a clear gel, akin to hand soap. My 7yo daughter has very fine, dirty blond hair with large curls. Her hair needs light hydration that will prevent her fine hair from breaking but won't weigh it down. I hoped this product would do the trick, but it sadly disappointed. Fresh Monster Kids 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner stripped her hair of its natural oils and left it feeling brittle and tangled. It did not live up to its claim of being "gentle" on her hair at all. There is so many bad ingredients in children's products and this one is no where near like that. It has a soft scent while using and soaps up really well. Some products that are made natural don't really put out a lot of suds, this one did not disappoint. This Aussie Kids Curly Sulfate Free Shampoo was PERFECT for my kids' ringlets and curls. Weve always had a really hard time with their hair, usually involving a trip to the salon to keep their hair short and managable. With colder weather here, the boys decided they want their long hair. I tried this because I have always loved Aussie products for myself – and frankly my kiddo's sweaty little hair/scalp stink 5 minutes after it has been washed. First – I love this because it is sulfate and paraben free which for us lowers the liklihood of scalp irritation and ickies. Second – the shampoo itself smells delish – fruity but not overwhelming, with a nice thickness that stays where you put it. The bottle is easy to hold when slippery as it has finger grooves on the side and the pump is easy to use and dispenses just the right amount per pump.l But the stinky scalp test…. I got my kiddo's hair soaking wet from scalp to end of very long hair. I put a quarter sized dollop of shampoo in the hands, rubbed them together and then lathered kiddo up. It lathered with voluminous, thick, sweet smelling bubbles right away. After a few seconds of working the lather through we rinsed. The shampoo rinsed out easily and quickly, no tears, no stickiness, no dryness. I got out the detangling comb while kiddo was still in tub and hair that is usually a rats nest was smooth and tangle free. So far so good! We used the companion conditioner next – but that is another review. What I will say is hair was soft and shiny and scalp had zero redness. Hair and scalp also remained sweet smelling though the entire day and soccer practice and was still wonderful the next morning. I used this ONE time on my baby’s head. He had minor cradle cap, nothing crazy, mostly small spots and a few larger flakes. This cleared it almost entirely up after once use. Purchased for my babies cradle cap. We saw immediate results when using it along with Frida Baby Cradle Cap brush set. We used it on baby at every bath, every 2-3 days. I’d say cradle cap on my baby was moderate. It did take time to completely vanish but unsure if it occurred naturally or if Mustella indeed helped. After a bath her scalp was clear and we would see it again the next day. Definitely be consistent with it, but if you are concerned speak to a pediatrician! After weeks, we didn’t see much of the cradle cap, only some dryness (when we stopped using Mustella) that eventually disappeared on its own. I love this product. My daughter has straight hair but it’s really thick and have a hard time helping her style it. We use this along with another product to style it. It does leave a little bit of residue when I apply too much so I’ve been moderating it so that doesn’t happen. If the knot is extremely bad I slather on the leave-in conditioner on dry hair before I throw her in the bath. By the time I soap her down and get to her hair I am usually able to just pull the knot out. If not, I shampoo and condition with MIXED CHICKS, and apply leave-in conditioner one more time. That has so far always worked. This product line is utterly A-MAZING!!!! On top of that they don't have an overpowering fragrance like J&J leave-in conditioner and they're all natural. Honestly I DID NOT like this shampoo for KP. I think it's AMAZING that there are more products out there for kids with ethnic hair types, but this isn't a good one. It didn't lather well and it left a flakey residue on her scalp. Also I did not like the smell. There was something that was strangely chemical about it. I would not recommend this for any child with kinky or curly hair.kia.t
