So far the best Purple Shampoo I've found. I have not used it long but My hair shines and actually feels thicker and softer. It hasn't really taken out all my brassiness yet but maybe after a few more uses it will. I am transitioning from medium brown colored treated hair to my natural white/grey hair that I'm letting grow out. It is very fine so my hairdresser didn't want to bleach it anymore for fear of damaging it more to get the orange and yellow tone out of it. She just highlighted down to blendable with my natural white/grey hair. That is probably why not all the brassiness is coming out with the Purple Shampoo. I've been using the Pantene Pro V Brilliant Blondie Illuminating Sulfate Free Shampoo for 2 weeks and I'm impressed! First things first, this formula is FREE OF sulphates, parabens, dyes, silicones, and mineral oils which is a winner in my book. I liked the scent of this shampoo, it was heavy enough so that after your hair was dry, it lingered for a day or two. If I braided it or had it up in a bun, the scent scent stayed for 3 days! A very CLEAN scent like linen on a breeze. I loved the feeling of my scalp afterwards as it felt very cleansed and clarified. Like it had been rehabbed! LOL Honestly, it felt as though a vacuum had sucked away all the old buildup from past washings. I noticed that my natural highlights were also lightened a lot. Like I had sat in the sun for 1 week straight or I went to the salon and had my highlights done! The one thing I didn't like was it was very hard to get a foamy lather going and I suppose that's because it's a very clean and green shampoo without all the chemicals added to it. I used the Brilliant Blondie Daily Rescue Conditioner in Combination with the Matching shampoo for about 3 weeks. This product claim is that it is free of Paraben, Mineral Oil and Dyes. I like that. It also has Silk Extract and Biotin which should should provide you with silky plump locks. Personally I don't think there is enough of either of these ingredients in the conditioner to notice. They are also the last few ingredients listed on the label. There is however a lot of forms of alcohol in the ingredient list! I have very long hair so when showering I wash my hair immediately, rinse and condition. This gives my conditioner 5 plus minutes to do it's job. It goes on nice and soft and has a very pleasant subtle scent. Once I rinsed it out my hair felt heavier than when using other conditioner. I also had a very hard time each and every time detangling my hair. Overall my hair did not feel good after using. For the entire three weeks of using these products I did not add any other product to my hair and did not style so I would get the full effect of the products used. I've been a past purchaser of Pantene, so I was excited to see this new line come out. I'm a natural blonde, who recently lifted my hair with bleach. This product specifically features 0% sulfates, parabens, silicones, dyes and mineral oils which is part of the reason why I was drawn to it. It also features added biotin & silk extract which I've been intrigued by lately in hair care products. The scent of this shampoo was really wonderful, and I really enjoyed it. Sulfate free shampoos tend to lather less, but I found this one still lathered quite well. I can't say that I think the biotin in it helped my hair in any way. On top of that, both the biotin and silk extract are both listed as the last two ingredients which I would presume means they're included in very small quantities. That being said, I did like the overall look of my hair after using this. I also really like the look and shape of the bottle/packaging of this. It fits really well in my shower and makes the usability of the product really great. Overall, I think I would buy this product again – and would likely recommend it to others. I honestly don't know if the product works because I had to re-condition my hair with another product to try to get the awful smell out of my hair. The fragrance smells like old man/ dead animal. I've been bleaching my hairs for years and have tried countless brands of purple shampoo. I've been told by my hairdresser that sulfates strip toner and to avoid shampoos with that ingredient. I noticed this shampoo had sulfates but I went ahead and tried it anyway because of all the good reviews. I've used it 3 times since my last bleach and tone, and my hair is A LOT more yellow than my appointment. I noticed after the first wash that my hair looked a little worse but I decided to try to keep using it and my toner literally vanished before my eyes. I definitely recommend a shampoo without sulfates (Joico is one example). This shampoo also dries out your hair causing it to build up grease not even 24 hours after showering. Made my hair nice when applied, thought everything was great. Beautiful lather….. then I wash it out. My hair felt so gummy it literally scared me. The product didn't really do anything for my hair. Will be returning. I have used the "Total Results So Silver Triple Power Hair Mask". It works great didn't dry my hair out at all. I try to stay away from Parabens, Silicones & Sulfates. Hopefully this is a helpful review because I address some of the complaints I saw before writing this. My hair stylist suggested I use this shampoo, however because I have an extremely sensitive scalp( I even have to use steroids on my scalp a couple times a week) so I still only use Free&Clean shampoo & conditioner directly on my scalp which I wash twice because of oil build up. But then I use the Redken Blue Toning shampoo on the rest of my hair just not the scalp.. my hair is down to my butt and very thick and wavy so I use a lot of product. I've read reviews saying it doesn't lather, but honestly it lathers really well and I'm guessing they must have so much oil in their hair they haven't done a quick wash and rinse first or use too much daily product so they probably need to wash twice anyways. I have the shampoo sit on my hair for 5 minutes. During that time I rinse off the shower curtain and walls to wash away the blue (c'mon people… it will only stain if you let it sit) then I rinse out and have the conditioner sit for 5 minutes and it is NIGHT & DAY from when I used to get highlights. I started using this right after highlights and after almost 2 months my color still looks perfect without the brassy or red. I wished I had this the past 10 years because my hair has faded copper/brassy my whole life. I'm obsessed and will continue using on all my hair and just avoiding the scalp! I bought previous version of this shampoo and I loved it very much. It was perfect for me. New formula is not the same, unfortunately. I have thin natural hair which gets dirty every day, so I wash it every morning. With previous formula of this shampoo I could wash my hair once per two days and it really gave me a little volume. But now I don't get any kind of volume, my hair is flat. I use this shampoo with Redken Volume conditioner and my hair don't feel any volume at all. Also my hair gets greasy by the end of a day. This product is very concentrated, lathers great, smells amazing. But doesn't work for my hair type. If you have normal or dry hair, probably, you will like the results.Helga

This shampoo lives up to its name! Very impressed. I used Redken long ago but it’s been years since I purchased the brand since I’m always trying new and innovative products. When I received this High Bright line the timing couldn’t have been better and my hair is very light blonde, and I’ve been working hard to combat it becoming brassy from mineral deposits in my well water. Initially I thought this shampoo would have a tint (I assumed blue/purple toning element) so I was surprised to see this was clear. The consistency is thick like a jelly but with major slip. It’s quite a different feeling, but it suds up very well on my scalp. I only wash my hair twice per week so it does get quite greasy but fortunately this cuts through that even without a double wash. I can tell when rinsing out my hair feels smooth even before conditioning to seal everything. The scent is also so delicious- almost like a unisex almost a light cologne scent but not too masculine. I’m combination with the High Bright conditioner, after washing drying and styling as normal I can say that my hair is softer and shinier than it has been in a very long time! Like so shiny it’s what I have been desperately looking for in a product. I’m not sure of the ingredients that make my hair look light and bright, but it is effective and leaves it with a super clean feel (no weight). Will definitely repurchase when I run out. I’ll start by saying I have used many Redken products in the past and I have always been very impressed with this line. It’s also one of the more affordable professional salon brands out there and I highly recommend the brand overall! When I first tried this shampoo I used it in conjunction with the pre treatment spray and conditioner. Using all three of these products together definitely gave the best results! I also used this shampoo without the pre treatment and it still gave a good brightness to my blonde on its own!At first I expected this to be a purple toning shampoo, especially based on the color of the bottle but this in NOT a purple toning shampoo! However this does help to cut brass tones just the same way purple toning shampoos do. The difference is that this does a lot more than just tone! It brightens the blondes and keeps it healthy, shiny and not dried out or hard to manage! I think this is a great shampoo for regular use on blondes since it does keep it healthy and manageable. Unlike purple toning shampoos that should be used less frequently in blonde hair as causes the hair to be dry and frizzy if used too frequently. Just like the High Bright pre-treatment and shampoo, this conditioner is a stellar product! I’m so happy Influenster sent this to me otherwise I may not have tried this line. I was a big Redken fan years ago, but have just wanted to try so many other big lines and new products that I hadn’t gone back to Redken. These products used together are absolutely effective and love you to the claim of bight blonde results. My community well water leaves trace mineral deposits that full my hair and also make it feel brittle, so when I go to my hair girl every 12 weeks she works hard to bleach and tone me (my ends especially) to brighten me up again. I’m a level 9/10, so any products that help are a big plus. What I love about this product is not only the beautiful package and lovely unisex scent, but this conditioner has no toning elements it’s white not blue/purple, and it’s thick like a mask instead of a typical conditioner. I apply after shampooing and let sit for 5-10 minutes while I finish up my shower and rinse out right at the end. Oh my gosh this not only makes my hair look bright and shiny, but My hair is so so soft and smooth. I’m shocked. My hair is softer than it has been in a very long time, even though I use other prestigious hair care products that claim to hydrate. I’ve been around the block when it comes to purple shampoos and this is one of the best ones I have tried, if not the best. I think one of the most annoying things about purple shampoos is how drying they can be on the hair but after using this my hair actually felt more hydrated. The toning on my hair was pretty significant as well, even without having my hair done in 4 months. When using purple shampoo I like to let it sit on my hair for a few minutes in the shower before rinsing off. I’ll admit I didn’t have high hopes for this but after using it it will definitely be a new staple in my routine! I decided to take advantage of Coronavirus quarantine to "go natural". My hair is a dark brunette, so growing out the silver is a challenge. Before I started using this shampoo, my hair was grey. This shampoo makes it straight-up silver. Not exaggerating. I have tried every purple shampoo on the market (high-end & drug store), & they all have one thing in common: they dry out your hair each time you use them. So you have to follow each wash with a heavy-duty conditioner. Not the case with this gem from Rene Furterer! I've used this as my only shampoo, for months at a time, and it never dries out my hair. Bought this to help tone down the brassiness in my blonde highlights. I am transitioning from heavy blonde mixed tone highlights to my own silver and pure white hair. My older highlights had taken on a yellow brassy tone and I wanted to try a shampoo over having to pay for a regular application of a toner at the hairdressers. I tried it just as a shampoo and found that it did nothing. I cant use the heavily purple coloured shampoos like Touch of Silver or Fudge brand as they trigger my scalp eczema. I put this to one side assuming it just would not work for me and visited my hairdresser for a toner. Once the toner had faded out and the brassiness began to raise its head I thought I would try the shampoo again but in a different way. I slathered it onto my dry hair avoiding my scalp and left it on for about 20 25 mins. Then thoroughly rinsed it off. Result It has done a great job of lifting the yellow tones, even brightening my own silver undertones. I am really impressed and will continue to use as required. What I love about this product it is that it's never obvious that you are dying your beard. It does take a while, but it will slowly alter the color. To me, it's just dark enough and subtle enough to look completely natural. Nobody wants to be that guy that has a grey beard on Friday, then shows up Monday morning with a dark beard. I keep my goatee a little long, about an inch on the chin. It was grey/white, with a little black mixed in. I had tried coloring it once in the past and freaked out at the results and shaved it off. So although I was skeptical, I was willing to try a gradual reduction product. It took a couple of washes before I started noticing any change, and yes, the white hair did take on a purplish hue. But I decided to see it through and stayed with it. I even doubled up on washes a few times that first week or so. By the third week, the purplish hue was gone, and I'm left with a natural looking dark color somewhere between really dark brown to black. I love the results and hope this product stays in production. Don't get freaked out by the transition phase. If my buddies had noticed they would have had a blast pointing it out. I actually pointed out to them what I had done, and the results were so good they were just like, wow yeah your beard was white! No one noticed as it was changing. Try it, be bold. It took me several tubes to figure our how to use this and here is how it works for me. If you follow the directions and leave on for only one minute you may get 10% coverage at best, and if your hair grows fast, you will always have a visible color line. Also, as a shampoo this works very poorly to remove dirt and oil. So, wash your hair with a regular shampoo first. Then use control GX and leave on for 10 minutes (I shave and soap up while this is on). Then rinse. With this routine I was able to get good gray coverage and can use every other day with no problems.Greg

Silver tresses looking kinda brassy or yellow? This product will take the yellow away and leave behind a healthy, shiny, ready to style head of hair. I am sometimes wary of bluing shampoo because some can leave that blue haired lady look but this one no. I leave mine on 10 minutes once every two weeks in place of normal shampoo and wala great gray hair. As a precaution if you have processed or bleached hair do a test first. This can just like other violet and blue based products become trapped in porous areas leaving a not so nice blotchy mess. It comes out but why risk it. I recently just purchased this shampoo since I didn’t have a toning product for my blonde hair. First off, I really liked how heavy and cute the packaging was. When I opened it, the smell is not unpleasant but not something I would typically gravitate towards to. It’s something you quickly get used to as you use it more and more. Cannot understand these great reviews! This Blue Malva shampoo and conditioner is simply awful. By far the worst I’ve used. The price point is ridiculous for the lack of result. Not only does it do NOTHING for my highlighted natural blonde hair, it actually actively makes the colour worse! After first use my highlights were dull and hair was really dry. Even when I piled the conditioner on I couldn’t get my brush though it. I should clarify that my hair has always been manageable and neither dry nor greasy, just luckily have shiny and soft hair so I was really shocked that a product had actually given me problems! I tried to keep using it because you can (ridiculously enough) only buy the huge bottles (what a scam), but I had to give it away to a friend because it was making my hair so lustreless. I have very sensitive skin and after not wanting to pay $50 plus for a giant jug of color depositing shampoo, I looked everywhere where for something similar. In the end, I decided not having my hair fall out using something harsher was not ideal and I bought this. My hair changed drastically in a week. It's healthier than it's ever been. My curls hold overnight which is just weird and my hair feels full and somehow also light. I highlighted it a few weeks ago. I'm not sure it's the best at canceling brass, but it's worth it. Can't say enough about this shampoo. i decided to quit coloring my hair and embrace the gray a few years ago, i have a LOT of white in it and the purple shampoos the salons were pushing made my hair turn purple! Not wanting to be a blue haired looking old lady i started searching for something that would do the job with no purple and found this stuff. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. I don't use it with every shampoo since its a little pricey.Plashomb

Like both shampoo & conditioner . Hair very soft. Only used 3x will see later if it keeps yellowing away. However packaging needs ALOT of work . Sent thru mail in plastic bag instead of a box! Shampoo & conditioner was all over inside of bag. Not very smart BB&B. Have to think twice about reorder.Maureen
I decided a few years ago to stop coloring my hair. Just let it go natural no more covering the gray. I have a mixture of color with the white, light gray and dark gray. I love the shiniest this puts in my hair and how bright it brings the white hair out. I have people stop me all the time and ask me where I get my hair colored. So I am very happy with the results I get from this shampoo. It smells nice and I leave it in about 3 minutes without any purple tint. My hair is so soft I do use a volume cream rinse. But I have always had to do that. I wish they would make the conditioner too!!Regina
I needed a shampoo that helps tone down henna treated hair and some silver growth through time to make it look less obvious. It didn't strip my hair of color but also cleaned the hair. My hair smells clean and feels light & fluffy for which I add a lightweight serum for some sheen & flyaways. With other shampoos I felt leftover residue and oiliness. I'm someone who only washes my hair once a week. This works well for me so far… Side note: Can become drying if used close in frequency.Lavendertea
