I bought the travel size of this shampoo to test out how it would do on my hair before I splurged on the big bottle. I was also a bit wary of the reviews that claimed it caused hair loss. I have wavy and thick hair with low porosity. I have a very dry, itchy, flakey scalp as well. I read that tea tree oil could help soothe your scalp, so I thought I would try it. I washed my hair as directed. Used about 3 dime sizes for my whole head and massaged it into my scalp. It lathers alright. Not much suds. That made me think that it wasn't cleaning my hair enough so I was tempted to put more shampoo on my head but I did not. The smell is very strong, but it does not linger in your hair post-wash. Usually, my head begins to itch after I wash my hair, but with this shampoo, there was no itch! So I was pleasantly surprised by that. I finished off my hair with the tea tree special conditioner. After I finished showering and dried my hair with a microfiber towel, I noticed no residue on my hair and it felt very clean! I couldn't see any flakes and my scalp wasn't itchy! Just from this, I am very impressed with this shampoo. To address the hair loss comments, I did not notice any significant hair loss when I used the shampoo. I am the type to shed a lot of hair as it is since I have thick hair. I also wash my hair about once a week, so I tend to lose a bit of hair because of that because stray hairs build up over that time. So this might not be good for someone who has thin hair or shampoos frequently. But for me, it works great. Hair loss was about the same or slightly less than usual. I washed my hair about 5 days ago and my hair is a lot less flakey and itchy. It still feels relatively clean with some oil started to build up on my hair. Best shampoo out there for oily dandruff ! Used a $400 prescription shampoo for 15 years and of course it worked, however one just can't Afford to keep using a $400 shampoo every day at a 30 day prescription. I'm a licensed stylist and always heard and was taught that Tea Tree has healing ingredients that Actually work . Never had the chance to use it. I got the shampoo and conditioner combo and used it for the first time today. Here are my thoughts: The "tingly" feeling is real. At first I thought it was burning my scalp but it's not. I have extreme dandruff and have tried RX shampoos to help that never worked. My scalp at least "feels" clean. I've seen a lot of reviews about hair falling out and mine did not at all. I have hashimotos disease which causes hair loss to an extreme so I expected clumps again. NOPE. Make sure to brush through your hair before you wash it! This prevents any extra breakage. The small is very strong. I love essential oils for their healing properties but the smells are awful. No exception here! Any tee tree product will smell like this BTW. DISCLAIMER: tee tree can be poisonous in raw form. If you have allergies, do not use this. For people with psoriasis this will not be for you. Keep out of reach from pets as it is poisonous to cats and dogs even as a topical product. Anything with essential oil products can be potentially dangerous and I urge you to research before you buy! I have an oily scalp with wavy waist length thick hair (many thin/low porosity strands). Color treated blonde. Problems: fluffy/poofy hair, greasy roots, dry ends, seborrheic dermatitis (on back of scalp) 1. Product longevity: I only used the allotted card sample packet of 10 mL shampoo & 10 mL conditioner, which I was prepared to not be enough for my long hair. It was perfect! It went a long way, which was a pleasant surprise right off the bat. 2. Scent: the fragrance is pleasant, light but it hangs in there, even into the next day. The scent is unisex. It just smells very *clean,* like a fresh aquatic citrus. Although it’s subtle, it is noticeable enough to get a “ooh your hair smells good” when someone goes in for the hug. 3. Effectiveness: this cleaned my hair so well, without making it feel overly dried or stripped. I have a hard time getting a good product that works with my dermatitis, and actually calmed the flare up I was having. Day 2 after wash, my head was so much less itchy than it was all week. My hair stayed clean and free of grease throughout all of day 1 and 2. Paired with the conditioner, my hair was smooth, shiny, soft (but not overly fluffy/full of poofy flyaways). It felt hydrated and my ends looked good. I’ve been faithful to olaplex for the past 2 years, but think I may have a new fave. I noticed that with olaplex, my hair began getting greasy SO quickly. I was getting greasy same day as wash. I still love it (that LATHER and scent tho!), but I think it’s too rich and moisture-focused for regular use given my oily scalp. My seborrheic dermatitis was getting worse and having intense flare ups. Anyway, everyone’s hair is different, and can change in different seasons, so I really don’t think there’s a “one size fits all” hair product that will be best for everyone at all times. For reference: I have LONG hair with a naturally wavy/curly texture, and with that comes frizz. A lot of it – even though I'm very aware of how to tame it (naturally kept or with a blow-out). My hair behaves weirdly, i'll just put it that way – it's difficult to achieve perfectly smooth styles. HOWEVER… I've been using OUAI products (I started with the THICK SHAMP+THICK COND.) for a little bit over a year now & all I can say is…I will NEVER go back to anything else, ever, unless I find something AS extraordinary as this brand. It's like magic in a bottle, to me at least. I have never experienced better hair (at home, done by me) in my entire life. It's insanely smooth & silky. I have such minimal frizz now. I normally need to blow dry AND straighten my hair, but I am beyond satisfied with just the blow-dried results. The only cons, I would say, is that because there's such rich and moisturizing ingredients (love to see it!) your hair can become a tad oily after the third day, even second sometimes. You just need to figure out what the right amount of product is for you so that you don't over do it. The second con, though it's nothing too crazy, would be that sometimes I end up needing more product in the shower, as it doesn't lather suuuuper well – but again, this depends on hair length and the amount that you know you need. I guess I just wish it foamed a bit more, is all. BUT these are such small things that can be resolved & aren't much of a big deal. For the oily con as mentioned above, this is why I switched to the MEDIUM line & I feel like it has helped. The THICK line may have heavier ingredients. I have tried SO many different shampoos and conditioners. A lot from drugstore and high end. And lately I've noticed I've been shedding more than usual. I have been using pureology a lot. I've used strength cure, hydrate and the nano works good line. But for some reason the pureology strength cure especially really irritated my scalp and makes me lose soooo much hair. So I got the ouai thick hair shampoo and conditioner and the first time I used it my shedding was only like 10 hair strands! I've washed my hair 4 times with it now and my hair scalp feels so clean but the shampoo makes washing my hair so easy and doesn't tangle my hair. And the conditioner is chefs kiss. I barely have to use any and my hair is so conditioned after the shampoo/conditioner. My hair is so soft, shiny, clean and my natural waves/curls look really pronounced since using the set. Also they smell AMAZING I want a perfume in the shampoo scent! I got the leave in, oil, and curl cream and they all work together beautifully and don't make my hair feel producty which I like because pureolgy always leaves my hair feeling kinda gross when I use their leave ins. I have an oily scalp with wavy waist length thick hair (many thin/low porosity strands). Color treated blonde. Problems: fluffy/poofy hair, greasy roots, dry ends, seborrheic dermatitis (on back of scalp) 1. Product longevity: I only used the allotted card sample packet of 10 mL shampoo & 10 mL conditioner, which I was prepared to not be enough for my long hair. It was perfect! It went a long way, which was a pleasant surprise right off the bat. 2. Scent: the fragrance is pleasant, light but it hangs in there, even into the next day. The scent is unisex. It just smells very *clean,* like a fresh aquatic citrus. Although it’s subtle, it is noticeable enough to get a “ooh your hair smells good” when someone goes in for the hug. 3. Effectiveness: this cleaned my hair so well, without making it feel overly dried or stripped. I have a hard time getting a good product that works with my dermatitis, and actually calmed the flare up I was having. Day 2 after wash, my head was so much less itchy than it was all week. My hair stayed clean and free of grease throughout all of day 1 and 2. Paired with the conditioner, my hair was smooth, shiny, soft (but not overly fluffy/full of poofy flyaways). It felt hydrated and my ends looked good. I’ve been faithful to olaplex for the past 2 years, but think I may have a new fave. I noticed that with olaplex, my hair began getting greasy SO quickly. I was getting greasy same day as wash. I still love it (that LATHER and scent tho!), but I think it’s too rich and moisture-focused for regular use given my oily scalp. My seborrheic dermatitis was getting worse and having intense flare ups. Anyway, everyone’s hair is different, and can change in different seasons, so I really don’t think there’s a “one size fits all” hair product that will be best for everyone at all times. That being said, transitioning into warmer, humid spring/summer weather, I’m really pleased to have found this product. It’ll be great for clean summer hair.jessicaeve1023
For reference: I have LONG hair with a naturally wavy/curly texture, and with that comes frizz. A lot of it – even though I'm very aware of how to tame it (naturally kept or with a blow-out). My hair behaves weirdly, i'll just put it that way – it's difficult to achieve perfectly smooth styles. HOWEVER… I've been using OUAI products (I started with the THICK SHAMP+THICK COND.) for a little bit over a year now & all I can say is…I will NEVER go back to anything else, ever, unless I find something AS extraordinary as this brand. It's like magic in a bottle, to me at least. I have never experienced better hair (at home, done by me) in my entire life. It's insanely smooth & silky. I have such minimal frizz now. I normally need to blow dry AND straighten my hair, but I am beyond satisfied with just the blow-dried results. The only cons, I would say, is that because there's such rich and moisturizing ingredients (love to see it!) your hair can become a tad oily after the third day, even second sometimes. You just need to figure out what the right amount of product is for you so that you don't over do it. The second con, though it's nothing too crazy, would be that sometimes I end up needing more product in the shower, as it doesn't lather suuuuper well – but again, this depends on hair length and the amount that you know you need. I guess I just wish it foamed a bit more, is all. BUT these are such small things that can be resolved & aren't much of a big deal. For the oily con as mentioned above, this is why I switched to the MEDIUM line & I feel like it has helped. The THICK line may have heavier ingredients. I have tried SO many different shampoos and conditioners. A lot from drugstore and high end. And lately I've noticed I've been shedding more than usual. I have been using pureology a lot. I've used strength cure, hydrate and the nano works good line. But for some reason the pureology strength cure especially really irritated my scalp and makes me lose soooo much hair. So I got the ouai thick hair shampoo and conditioner and the first time I used it my shedding was only like 10 hair strands! I've washed my hair 4 times with it now and my hair scalp feels so clean but the shampoo makes washing my hair so easy and doesn't tangle my hair. And the conditioner is chefs kiss. I barely have to use any and my hair is so conditioned after the shampoo/conditioner. My hair is so soft, shiny, clean and my natural waves/curls look really pronounced since using the set. Also they smell AMAZING I want a perfume in the shampoo scent! I got the leave in, oil, and curl cream and they all work together beautifully and don't make my hair feel producty which I like because pureolgy always leaves my hair feeling kinda gross when I use their leave ins. Anyway I totally recommend this set and if you're getting greasy hair from this set try the medium or fine hair set. This just probably isn't for your hair type. This thickening shampoo is great! My hair instantly feels thicker and smoother after washing it with this shampoo! The application process is great! I like that it's made out of simple ingredients. With some shampoos, I noticed because of the harsh chemicals, my hair falls out more after washing it. With this shampoo, it's the opposite. My hair doesn't fall out and it feels and looks more healthier. The scent is amazing! The only downfall about this product is that it sometimes makes your scalp drier. I'm not a fan of this shampoo at all. It feels very drying – a thin shampoo consistency that lathers like an unusual amount, the scent is really strong and doesn't seem as luxurious as a lot of the other options, and I have to wash my hair a lot more frequently with it because it gets greasy after only 1-2 days. I won't be coming back for more. I've found some fantastic other products on Vitacost for me. My 9 year-old loves it so he uses it. We use a lot of natural products in our house and I think he loves the strong lemony scent of this compared to the "boring" or non-existent scents of our other products.strawberry
This is my DREAM shampoo, after many years of struggles and health changes! I have straight fine hair that NEVER has volume. I used to get a little volume from my thickness… that is, until I went off dairy and gluten as part of a healthier diet in my mid-30s. Losing that "overdose" of calcium (and I mean, I was ADDICTED to dairy, so I went from a huge dairy diet to none) just changed my body. There were many positive changes, and this was a holistic health decision, and I stand by it, but I was so sad at what became of my hair. Five years after my diet changes, I got pregnant, and pregnancy vitamins helped my hair thicken again, but of course, when pregnancy and breastfeeding were over, I stopped the vitamins, and my hair got thinner than it was before pregnancy. I tried many suggestions about rose oil and the horse shampoo to help hair growth, etc. But none of it really helped, and the horse shampoo just made my hair hang and look sad. So when I tried Desert Essence's Mango, I picked this scent because it said it helped with volume, but I didn't have much hope. Oh my friggin' goodness, this stuff was AWESOME!!! I began to see results after the first couple of washes, and when I use the Mango Conditioner too, it's even better. I love how it smells. My husband is really attracted to the scent. My toddler notices the smell too and likes the smell of mom's hair. I normally dye and highlight my hair, and this has been really reparative and restorative to the harshness of those chemicals. I am just in love with this shampoo, and so grateful I can feel good about my hair again, for the first time in eight years! This is my honest and authentic opinion, as a Sephora Beauty Insider Community Ambassador, of how this product has performed for me with consistent use over the last 3-4 months. MY HAIR TYPE & CONCERNS: * Individual strands are fine but I have a lot of them so it looks like my hair is thicker than it actually is * Color treated * Scalp can lean oily * Length and ends can be dry * Heat styling tools used occasionally PRODUCT CLAIM(S) & RESULTS: * Repair damage? YES, but my hair was fairly healthy prior to using this. That said, I have not seen any split ends or breakage. I've also noticed that my hair looks and feels less flat and stringy than it does with other shampoos. * Reduce frizz? YES! My hair can experience some frizz on occasion but I've noticed that it's been a lot less (or some weeks, zero frizz) during the time I've been using this shampoo. * Prevent color fading? Most definitely, YES! I can extend the number of weeks that go by before I feel the need to get in for a touch up. * Stronger, shinier and healthier hair? YES! There is a holy grail of shampoos, and this is it. This is the shampoo that will make you understand why it's worth it to pay up for a shampoo. It is an EXPERIENCE. The smell is something I can't put my finger on. They must have formulated it from many different subtle scents that play superbly well together. It is amazing how a smell can transport you to the most luxurious place. You will feel like you are showering in a castle in France. At least I did. At first I felt that the bottle looked too rigid, making it difficult to extract shampoo from it. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find it so pliable. I got the three set of mini products free through an offer on Sephora. I finally used them last night and my hair is pretty thick. Most of the products say from fine to medium but I feel they definitely worked on mine. On a YouTube review one of the products I got said not to use on blonde or red hair though. Pretty sure it wasn’t the shampoo though. Wasn’t crazy about the fact that I had to read how to use it on the Sephora site. Maybe on the full size bottles they say the directions on them, but for the most part it was all in French. But it didn’t bother me enough to deduct a star. I’m 40, and my mom had saved one of my first white blonde curls (I turned every shade of blonde until puberty and then wahmp mouse brown) my hair is dyed darker, but last time I dyed it was in March of 2021. So, the smell. There are clearly two camps. This conditioner (and it’s matching shampoo) is absolutely luxurious. Smells beyond amazing, great rich ingredients, and conditions/detangles beautifully. I have fine, straight hair (that has been damaged from intense health issues) so I was nervous this would be too heavy but it isn’t! It definitely provides more moisture and hydration (compared to other products that are geared towards more fine hair/oily scalp) but still doesn’t weigh down my hair. During the winter I found my hair was becoming more dry and so I started co washing with this conditioner. Instead of using shampoo every 4th day I began using this as the shampoo every other time. My hair is fine and highlighted and wavy to curly. I leave it on for 3 to 5 minutes and am particular about scrubbing the scalp and then rinse as usual and that's it. My hair does not feel exactly like it does after using shampoo but it is clean and full of body and it saves my hair from that dryness some of us may experience with indoor heat in the winter. I'll keep it up in the summer too due to indoor air conditioning. I love all the Rahua products I have purchased. I did buy a leave in treatment for the hair and realized it contained some coconut oil and my hair does not like coconut oil—too drying for me, but not for everyone.Karen

Although this makes my hair shiny and silky, my hair is falling out excessively when I brush and in the shower. I know you lose up to a 100 strand a day, but I'm losing an unusual amount. Never experienced this. I brushed through my whole head last night and had a whole clump of hair. Took a shower the next morning, then brushed again, and lost another huge handful of hair. It hadn't even been a whole day. It wasn't a gradual fall out of hair. I can only assume it is this shampoo because I don't use any other products on my head, other than its a ten miracle leave in product to detangle, but that never caused unusual fall out. I wanted to love this because it smells really good in the bottle. I used in for the first time and when my hair air dried (I rarely blow dry anymore) it felt heavy, brittle and dry, but my roots were greasy, and my scalp started itching. I thought maybe it was a fluke and I was in a hurry and maybe didn't wash it out well. I used it a second time and really made sure to shampoo everything and rinse well. Same thing. It's a bit pricey but trust me its worth it. I was tired of my hair feeling gross, dry on the ends and oily at the roots. I threw away all my other garbage shampoos and I finally found the shampoo of all shampoos. Def sticking with this one a little lathers up a bunch. I can go 2-3 days without looking like an oily mess. And it makes my hair smell soo good. Def worth the money if youre tired of your hair having build up.emily p.
So, I hesitated about writing this review because I don’t like to complain, and I did love this product when I first purchased it. My hair was soft, smelled great, and I even had people commenting on the health & shine it had. I loved this product so much I stocked up on it.
About a year into using this shampoo and conditioner duo along with the leave in treatment I noticed an unusual amount of hair fall. I thought nothing of it assuming it was my hair screaming at me for the heat/hair dye ect. However, I noticed it more and more and after 6 months of extreme shedding I decided I should look into what was going on. First i started taking supplements (Womens vitamins and biotin) assuming it was my dreadful diet to blame. No change. I put a shower head filter in to filter my shower water. No change. Then I went cold turkey on heat styling, and stopped using hair dye. Nothing seemed to help. I even bought different ‘it’s a 10’ products to try to “strengthen” my hair. I attempted to not wash my hair but once a week… still incredible amounts of fall out. I was lost. Finally I changed shampoo. I started noticing in the shower less and less fall out, soon brushing my hair produced less wads of hair to clean from my brush. It seems I have found the culprit. I have spent 6 months trying to identify what I was doing wrong, and all signs point to “it’s a 10”.
I’m posting this not out of anger, or spite, but because everywhere I looked I saw “how great” this product is …. I even asked my hair dresser what she recommended for hair fall and she asked what I use and I told her “it’s a 10” and she raves about how great the product is.
my hair is incredibly thin and I have little baby regrowth. I don’t want someone else to go through what I did and change shampoo when it’s too late. So if u r using it’s a 10 and noticing a lot of fall out… maybe it just doesn’t work for us?

I really like this shampoo and conditioner. It's a shame so many people left 1 star reviews because it just didn't work for them. It would be different if there was something wrong with customer service or the product itself. However, with skin care, nail care, and hair care so much of whether or not it'll work for you is left biology and body chemistry and you have to try different products to find the one that works with yours. this is my first time buying shampoo on yesstyle and its a lot better than the ones i use from the convenience store. i have bleached hair and it made my hair more manageable. the shampoo also smells mature but really good. i like the shampoo is sold in these bags so we can just refill or use our own shampoo containers!lily
As a person who has dry, frizzy hair, I really wanted something that would soften my hair as it used to be before straightening and using other heat products on my hair. So I instantly bought this tsubaki hair shampoo, along with its conditioner, as I have read many excellent reviews about it on YesStyle. First off, one thing I really enjoy about this shampoo in comparison to other shampoos I have tried is that it has a pump instead of a simple lid. This is so convenient as it measures how much you need for your hair length. My hair is medium length so one pump is enough for me. I also love the smell of this product. I don't know how to explain it but it smells sweet and fresh and many of my friends have complimented me about the scent of my hair. After washing it off I personally felt a my hair to be much more softer and untangled so I think it worked. However, after blowdrying my hair I feel like my hair is back as it used to be, with maybe only a 20% improvement. Super moisturizing and cleansing but doesn't weigh down your hair. I have tried all sorts of expensive and cheap natural shampoos, but this just outperforms nearly everything. I wanted no silicones, and no SLS. This shampoo is surprisingly gentle and didn't strip my hair, but just like the name says, it actually is thoroughly cleansing. It removes all buildup from my fine hair, and leaves it shiny but fluffy and full of volume. I used to use one of the Hairgurt shampoos, but while that made my hair super shiny, it looked greasy the next day. With the Alaffia, I can actually go 2 days without washing and my hair looks clean. It won't blow you away with movie star hair, but again, this doesn't contain silicones, which is what most other shampoos are full of.RiddlesKitty

I have thick hair – frizzy, sometimes dry but does get oily by the 3rd day of not washing- and it just did not cleanse my scalp well. I would feel like it would strip my hair of it's natural oils and just make it super dry, but it would still feel dirty?? I've tried their lavender shampoo and that one was fine… overall there are so many other shampoo options so I would not repurchase. however, if you want to try something from this brand, try their body line! 🙂melanie.s
My hair is a bit coarse and it does get dry easily and even a bit frizzy. I tried the Alaffia Turmeric Neem shampoo and conditioner, and it does help my hair to not get frizzy and it feels soft and healthy. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it's hard to spread, maybe due to the Neem oil, so I have to use a lot since I have long and thick hair. Also my hair feels heavy like it needs to be washed again after a couple of days. My usual routine is to wash my hair every 3 days.Cher

I got the travel size shampoo/conditioner and it's the first time I've tried this brand, though I've heard celebrities skull shill it often. Honestly, it's not bad. I can use the shampoo every day and it seems to be enough to allow my hair be combed through without any tangles. It makes me hair very soft, but my scalp feels oily within 24 hours. I'm using it in the winter as I imagine it would be a little too moisturizing in warmer weather, leading to oilier hair/scalp. The conditioner is a little too heavy for my hair. If I use it, my hair is very soft out of the shower, but flat and oily by the morning, and I have dry/oily hair type. The shampoo scent is rather unpleasant, others have described it well in their reviews. The shampoo also has SLS and parabens – all the not good stuff we're supposed to avoid. So first off I love this brand, it got introduced to me when I was at a salon. So the first collection I tried was the resistance, I love that collection it really makes a difference in my hair it makes it feel so soft and smooth and before my hair was bleach and dry and I had chunks of hair falling out. I received this as a sample for my birthday gift this year with Sephora and am sad I wasted my gift on this, but also happy I didn’t purchase a full size. I use drugstore shampoo (suave and herbal essences 90% of the time) and can say they always leave my naturally frizzy and curly hair smooth and manageable afterwards. Needless to say if those low priced products can satisfy me, I had high expectations for this shampoo+conditioner. It left my hair so brittle, dry, and damaged after just one use. I could tell even brushing my hair fresh out of the shower while wet that it was tearing through knots and already felt coarse. I applied extra argan oil to my hair to dry with and it still was so dry and I saw split ends already forming which I had never seen before. I didn’t wash my hair for 7 days after using this product, hoping any natural oil would help my hair return to a natural state before and that no permanent damage had been done. It’s been 2 weeks since my first and final use of this product and I am back to herbal essences. This is a weird one. It's a sulfate shampoo without any of the "harsh" sulfates people associate with them. The result is a really satisfying, fine-grained lather that cleans extremely well but feels very different from SLS shampoo. This is not a super gentle or hypoallergenic shampoo. But it strikes a nice balance between conventional SLS/SLES formulations and purely cocamidopropyl betaine formulations. So it's well within the comfort zone for just about anyone. This one is different from the main Paul Mitchell awapuhi shampoos, and worth a try if you like other formule with similar surfactants. The only negatives I really have to say are that cocomidopropyl betaine is sensitizing and irritating for a lot of people, there's a bit of controversy around it. Also, if I use this shampoo without clarifying for an extended period my hair gets weirdly light and fluffy. I suspect this is due to this product either not cleansing out certain things or depositing them, making my hair repel itself on an ionic level. May be solved with certain products or blow drying, havent really found the solution there.Bacchante
I have long baby fine wavy color treated hair that became wiry/frizzy after it began growing salt/pepper. It's naturally oily, and I believe I have sebhorriec dermatitis (flakey & itchy particularly around the ears). Most shampoos that treat the dermatitis cause eve more oil production. I have tried everything without relief until this. Not only did it stop the itch and over production or skin cells/dermatitis but it controls the frizz without leaving it oily. Because of the cost & add some of PM's regular awapuhi shampoo to it on alternate days. I condition afterward with Not Your Mother's Way to Grow & then use a Wet Brush to brush through it easily, and then just let it air dry. At 55 I have the hair I dreamed of in my 20's. I use Age Beautiful 7N hair dye, and it holds too.Double_V

I bought this just because I needed something to use until I could get to a salon for the product I normally use. It is now my permanent shampoo (I also use the conditioner)! It smells great and leaves my hair feeling clean and fresh. That alone would have kept me using it but the biggest bonus for me is the noticeable reduction in how much hair I lose daily. I've struggled with thinning hair for years and tried all of the expensive brands out there (including Nioxin) but nothing really helped. I was shocked when I realized there were fewer hairs in my drain after just a couple days of use. After a few months of use I'm even noticing that my hair is filling in some. I switch it up occasionally with some of the other Hask shampoo & conditioner options and they are great also. On top of all that it's inexpensive! This has to be by far my favorite Hask shampoo and conditioner. This has good ingredients such as Rosamary oil, which helps with hair growth and has inflammatory properties and can be used every day because it heals the scalp. It also has tea tree oil for its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. It combats excess oil and dandruff on the scalp, keeping the scalp healthy and for healthier hair growth. My favorite part is that it has a minty and cooling sensation on the scalp. I love that it stimulates blood flow in the scalp because of the activated cooling mint like sensation. It smells nice. It cleans and hydrates both your scalp and hair shafts, and it is a therapeutic spa like experience when I take a shower. It's so good. I will always use this because it is healthier and not filled with added toxic ingredients. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for everything I have experienced with this product. not too strong of a scent despite other reviews. i got a deep conditioning conditioner cause some said it was more of a stripping shampoo. it is. i only wash my hair twice a week and if i washed everyday this would have killed my hair. i did notice a lot more hair fallout but my hair didnt seem any thinner at first. it is slightly thinner now and i cant even run my hand through my hair without pulling out atleast 5-8 strands. and ive noticed that the top few layers of my hair are very short as if they were broken. dont know 100% if thats because of the shampoo but im about 70ish% sure it is. not terrible to the point where i would throw it out and stop usig it immediately but i probably wont buy it again. everyone is different. i would say maybe give it a try to see if it works better for you than it did me.jj

I am nearly at the bottom of the bottle, so I am ready to comment. This one is not working for me. It is probably due to the texture of my hair – it is a bit past shoulder length, fine/medium hair. Not super fine, but I think you might get the idea. After I apply soap, and gently wash hair, and rinse out – my hair is a matted mess while in the shower. I have to add conditioner, just to be able to rinse the soap out of my hair properly. The two conditioners that I used, that saved me – are both offered by Vitacost: Andalou Naturals Detangling spray and 2Chic Ultra Sleek Conditioner by Giovanni. I love the Andalou spray, so I will try their shampoo. Giving this 2 stars, as this Shikai shampoo, may be ok for super short hair, or hair needing a 'clarifying' shampoo, to remove heavy sports sweat/dirt, gels & other hair products. When I purchased Shikai Shampoo I had hair that was colored. That was about a year and a half ago. Now it's my natural color but this shampoo is still doing a good cleansing job and leaves my hair manageable. This used to be my favorite conditioner WHEN IT HAD AMLA, for fine wavy hair and a difficult scalp and as a reward for my loyalty and others' they changed the AMLA to borage without announcement. Over the past four years of my natural hair journey, I've tried so many different products trying to find the "perfect" one for my hair. This became my everyday shampoo for when I wanted a good cleanse, soft strands and volume. I have an oily scalp problem. While it doesn't help delay the oil production, this is able to provide a thorough cleanse, leaving my hair (and the room) with this refreshing orange blossom scent. My most favourite thing about it is that it adds a little Zhoosh to my locks. My hair looks bouncy, with volume and, feels lightweight. It's silicone & sulphate free, and doesn't lather much. The one issue I do have with this is that since the formulation is runny and light, I have to use a considerable amount each time. Before meeting this amazing shampoo, I had been using a drugstore shampoo + conditioner for 6 years which were claiming to be sulfate-free. They changed their ingredients, I ended up with little dandruff, itchiness and hair loss. I made my research and found Briogeo! I read a lot about Briogeo's founder Nancy and hooked by her mission. I decided to give these products a try. I have been using the Blossom and Bloom Ginseng+ Biotin Shampoo + Conditioner + Don't Despair, Repair Hair Oil for about 2 months. My scalp gets oily the second day after washing. So, I wash my hair every other day, or sometimes even skip one more day even if it looks oily. This combination of products gives my thin, wavy(type: 2A) baby soft hair more volume and more shine. My hair now grows stronger and does not feel brittle while brushing. My sensitive scalp does not itch anymore. I must admit that the conditioner makes my hair slightly oily the next day, but I prefer the shiny head to a dry & itchy scalp 🙂
I had high hopes for this shampoo but it’s terrible for oily hair. My hair gets quite oily and dirty and I normally wash it every 3 days, I had never had issues with my other shampoos to cleanse my hair in the past but I did with this shampoo. There was nearly no bubbles even when I rub it in my palms before applying to my hair, and so it’s extremely difficult to clean my hair. The first time I had to use 4 pumps to even get my hair clean! Which is a lot considering how small the bottle is honestly. I haven’t had any noticeable difference either in terms of hair volume or texture, so I’ll strongly suggest that you don’t buy it, and especially DONT if you have oily hair because this shampoo doesn’t even clean it well. I am in love with Mizani’s gentle clarifying shampoo! I was surprised when I used it in the shower and saw it was grey in color. I then read it has charcoal, an ingredient that really pulls impurities out to get a deep clean. That was for sure the case here. I felt like my scalp was left so squeaky clean without feeling dry, as other shampoos tend to do when they strip moisture in the process of trying to clean your hair. However, this was so nourishing and my hair didn’t feel dried out, but still felt super light in texture and super clean. I was so thrilled with the results. In addition, it has coconut oil which leaves your hair baby soft and shiny. I am for sure a new loyal customer after this pleasant experience. I received this item for free from Influenster and Mizani in exchange for my honest review. I’ve only been able to test it out once so my review will have to be based off my first impression. For starters the amount of product you receive is very generous compared to other midrange price shampoo products. The moisture fusion moisture shampoo was a creamy, white texture and color and gave me a really nice lather. It’s scent was really one of my favorite parts, it had a faint clean scent that I’m still able to smell even after an hour after washing my hair (which my hair doesn’t hold on to scents as long). As for performance it definitely left my hair soft and smooth after application. After air drying my hair it is still very silky and soft. I deal with dandruff and this shampoo did a great job at leaving it clean while keeping my scalp moisturized. I would have to try this for a little more before being able to fully recommend this product, but so far so good.xoisabel

I purchased this color safe shampoo based on the recommendations on beauty professionals in my area, and also because I am a big fan of Oribe products. I started using Oribe products when I went to a salon that used Oribe and pretty much all the products that I’ve used I have liked. I purchased this particular shampoo because I get highlights, and I wanted to prolong the life of my color gloss. I am a fan of Oribe and have other Oribe shampoos to compare it with, and I sometimes mix it with the Oribe Moisture and Control Shampoo in the green bottle and the Oribe Gold Lust Shampoo in the black and white bottle. I think that this shampoo for color treated hair is best for prolonging color, and I have noticed that my glaze has lasted a bit longer than when using other shampoos. I personally prefer the moisture and hydration from the other two shampoos that I mentioned compared to this shampoo, but I do like the shampoo a lot. I do feel that the Moisture and Control Shampoo does provide a lot of moisture and hydration, I have that masque too and love it. The Oribe Gold Lust is good for damaged hair or when trying to prevent split ends. The shampoo for the blonde hair is also a great shampoo, which a hairstylist used on me for years and I recommended to a family member. I think Oribe products are excellent and I have been pleased with most Oribe products that I purchased. I recently switched to using this shampoo and other Oribe shampoos from the Olaplex shampoo and it is definitely worth the extra money! The products are a little expensive, although they are the best quality of any other beauty products which I have purchased. The products are vegan and cruelty free. Purchased this product expecting to see results. This an 8.5oz product for $50.00. So my expectations are high as price tag. This product did not work for me. I recently got my hair colored I waited 5 days to have my first shampoo and as I was washing my hair it felt extremely dry. As I was massaging my scalp my hair started tangle terribly- this has never happened to me before. So I proceeded to condition with olaplex. Once out of the shower my hair felt super dry which it was very concerning. After I used a mixed of olaplex #6 and #7 to blow-dry and style, my hair looked fine but NOT BETTER from using Olaplex shampoo, Truss professional or Crew. I wanted to give it a second try so 3 days after I washed my hair again. I have natural voluminous curls, same experience at washing and after, my curls looked terrible. The hair still dry as straw. I decided to give this product a try when it was on sale at Ulta. With my first use or two, I was impressed with how my hair looked. I could tell it toned down the brassiness and gave me a just left the salon look. But by the third or fourth use, my blonde hair my ends in particular were looking straight purplish grey. Despite only washing my hair a couple times a week, I figured maybe I was using it too much and should not be using it for every wash. So, I started alternating between this shampoo and a regular nourishing shampoo. However, it seems that doing this has given me such uneven tones throughout my hair some areas are brassy, some parts look platinum and some look grey a problem Ive never had before. This shampoo also stains my nails, cuticles, and scalp. Even though I had freshly washed hair, one day I had to put it up into a pony tail simply because when my hair was down you could see my part which was bright purple. It looked awful. Even rinsing my hair until the water runs clear still leaves me with purple in my scalp. Aside from the results of this shampoo, Im not a fan of how thin and runny the consistency is, because every time I dispense some, it seems to come with a fair amount of drippingwasted product which is a bummer, considering the price. Maybe a pump instead of a flip cap could prevent some of this Overall, whether I used this shampoo consistently or sparingly, the results were not good. All I have to say is, this conditioner is worth every penny (pricey) About my hair type, I have long, wavy, thick, course and frizz prone due to living in a hot and humid climate state, this is amazingly good on my hair. With this conditioner, it makes my hair so shiny, hydrated and smooth. I only use a little bit because it really does go on my hair due to how creamy this formulation is. I find that after washing it off all the way in the shower, I rinse my hair with very cold water until I don't feel any warmth from my hot shower. The cold water helps seal and smooth down the hair follicle. I then let hair air dry in a loose twisted bun with a large and soft velvet scruchie on top of my head. When it's completely dry, my hair falls with soft, bouncy, shiny and smooth waves that I don't need to style my hair with any hot tools. In comparison to naturally air drying my hair, I have used my flat iron and also curling iron, my hair looks like I had just gotten an amazing hair result from a hair salon. Highly recommend.maria.d
I bought this shampoo based on reviews. I have a foil done about 56 times a yr. I used this shampoo for the first time brightened my hair right away. Im a natural strawberry blonde had some issues with my last foil, I used this shampoo 4 times in one week which is alot. While this did brighten up my hair was a quick fix to what the stylist did to me my reg lady wasnt in I went to a diff stylist learned a few things. The new stylist fixed the issues that the inexperienced one messed up. First off I would like to tell you that what the last girl did to my hair was not knowing how to mix colors very well ended up with more red than blonde, I didnt want red but the Redken Blondage did help with that problem until I could get it done right. My new stylist explained to me about over using this type of shampoo because it can cause your hair to turn blue but Ive never had those issues. Purple is actually a color added to a shampoo to neutralize warm colors, warm colors being orange, yellow, red, purple shampoo turning your brassy warm tones into cooler tones more natural looking, the darker the purple, the better the shampoo. Purple shampoo does nothing for brunettes but if you have highlights its a must, also a must for silver hair to turn gray into a beautiful silver. If your hair is over processed or colored alot it can take on purple tones quickly. If you start to notice your blonde hair getting a silvery color its because your hair is very porous, then you want to back off of the purple shampoo bc it will start turning blue. I use purple about once a week. You shouldnt use purple shampoo but every 3rd wash because its very drying. Another way to keep your color fresh is to shampoo with clarifying shampoo to wash all oil residue buildup from other products, hairspray, gel, mousse, etc…rinse then use purple shampoo and let it sit for about 10 min. Since most of the brightening work is done with the shampoo you can really use any conditioner. I love Redken all soft conditioner. So far I like most all of Redken products they have great a sale going on this month sales and nobody can beat the sale of one liter size products this month better than Ulta.Anonymous
