I used to get dandruff, so I used a 2-in-1 shampoo conditioner. That product kept the dandruff away but made my hair very dry. I love this Neutrogena conditioner! It does not have a strong odor, just a clean scent. My hair looks and feels healthy when I use this conditioner in combination with the scrub and shampoo. My hair used to get tangled with the product I used before, but this conditioner kept my hair silky and had very little tangles. The only reason I give this product 4 stars is because of the bottle shape. I am a quadriplegic, so my mom washes my hair for me. She has weak hands, so it is hard for her to squeeze the bottles. The shape of the bottle is bulky. I do not think a pump will work because the conditioner is very thick. However I would still buy these 3 products.

The Healthy Scalp Hydro Boost line has completely changed my hair. As a late-blooming curly girl with a severely sensitive scalp, I have tried MANY products while in pursuit of the right combination for my hair's need for moisture and my scalp's desire to remain product-free. I got this shampoo from influenster in exchange of my honest reviews. I love trying new shampoo and conditioner products and seeing what each one has to offer. I hadn’t heard of any with hyaluronic acid before and was eager to see if it stood out above other shampoos I’ve tried. The bottle of this shampoo is a neat square shape which is different from other shampoos out there, but it didn’t fit on my shower ledge where I put all the rest of my products. I had to put it on the edge of the tub which I don’t prefer. It is easy to squeeze out and comes out a little thick. From the picture I thought it would be blue which it isn’t, only the bottle is blue. That’s not a big deal, I guess it was the inner child in me that hoped it would be a cool color. That’s a plus for anyone who doesn’t want unnatural dyes in their product anyways. When I put this on my hair it took a while to lather and I actually went back for a little more product to get it worked in all over my head. It’s not too strong though and it doesn’t last after being rinsed out. It didn’t feel particularly moisturizing as I lathered it over my scalp. After the shower my hair felt clean and lightweight. I was prone to patchy red spots/lesions. Tried everything but only this works. Selenium sulfide is the main ingredient; other Selsun products with different main ingredients did not work. Must be left on for a few minutes so I begin my shower by lathering up with this and finish my shower with rinsing it out. Different things work for different people; selenium sulfide works for me.
I tried many anti-dandruff products and nothing worked for me except Selsun. The blue colour combination with mild scent is good for people like me who don't like extra smelly. I use twice weekly and I should say after 2nd week, I started to see much improvement with my hair with reduction in scalp dandruff. Also it doesn't leave my hair rough, thanks to the moisturizer property. Among so many online sites, I found 'i-herb' to be cheapest one. This is literally the only shampoo I can use on my scalp. If I don’t use it, super itchy scalp and so much dandruff us back but when im consistently using it, scalp is in amazing health. I hated the smell at first but its something im used to now and it reminds me of Irish soap. If I want to use my smell good shampoo then I do my first rinse with this shampoo (2 rinses with selsun if theres a lot if build up) and then I go in with my smell good shampoo and conditioner. Kerakera products are great, but this product, in particular, is also great for low porosity natural hair. I use this product with a little bit of cold-pressed olive oil and a detangling conditioner. Another tidbit of information for you naturals out there, if you are struggling to find the detangling conditioner that has easy slip, the ingredient that you want to look for on the back of the bottle is called "Behentrimonium chloride". I have anxiety at might that makes me scratch my head, and then the next day I have to deal with the itchiness of my broken scalp and try not to make it worse. I decided I had to try a soothing shampoo because i was really suffering and it was keeping me from sleeping. Keracare really helped the itchiness, but I cant use it regularly because it leaves a really yucky residue on my hair. Its totally worth it when Im super itchy but I wouldnt use it preventatively because of that. I also didnt have dandruff, just itchiness, so I cant speak for how well it handles that. I’m always trying out clean products, so I took a chance on this set for my hair and I’m glad I did. Keep in mind that if you are currently using regular stuff from the grocery store, your hair will have to detox for you to feel the effects of a clean natural shampoo. On my third wash my hair was clean, shiny and moisturized without leave-in products. I confidently use this on my kids too. I wish the bottle was bigger for the price, though. I'm very impressed with the ingredients in this shampoo and pleasantly surprised at how well it works. Many years ago I was on the hunt for body care items that were fragrance and dye free to address some health issues I was experiencing. Back then (about 10 years ago) it was not easy to find these items and even more difficult to find any that worked as well as "regular" products. I wish this had been available back then! It smells wonderful and lathers just as well as any other shampoo. I have extremely sensitive skin and found this product didn't cause any issues. My hair looked great, felt fantastic, and did I mention I loved the smell? The only downside (for me) is that even though I only wash my hair 1-2 times per week the cost is a bit high for my budget. I bought the travel size of this shampoo to test out how it would do on my hair before I splurged on the big bottle. I was also a bit wary of the reviews that claimed it caused hair loss. I have wavy and thick hair with low porosity. I have a very dry, itchy, flakey scalp as well. I read that tea tree oil could help soothe your scalp, so I thought I would try it. I washed my hair as directed. Used about 3 dime sizes for my whole head and massaged it into my scalp. It lathers alright. Not much suds. That made me think that it wasn't cleaning my hair enough so I was tempted to put more shampoo on my head but I did not. The smell is very strong, but it does not linger in your hair post-wash. Usually, my head begins to itch after I wash my hair, but with this shampoo, there was no itch! So I was pleasantly surprised by that. I finished off my hair with the tea tree special conditioner. After I finished showering and dried my hair with a microfiber towel, I noticed no residue on my hair and it felt very clean! I couldn't see any flakes and my scalp wasn't itchy! Just from this, I am very impressed with this shampoo. To address the hair loss comments, I did not notice any significant hair loss when I used the shampoo. I am the type to shed a lot of hair as it is since I have thick hair. I also wash my hair about once a week, so I tend to lose a bit of hair because of that because stray hairs build up over that time. So this might not be good for someone who has thin hair or shampoos frequently. But for me, it works great. Hair loss was about the same or slightly less than usual. I washed my hair about 5 days ago and my hair is a lot less flakey and itchy. It still feels relatively clean with some oil started to build up on my hair. By this time, my hair is usually an oily, flakey mess, but it is not now because of this shampoo! Will definitely splurge for the large bottle!sweetkiwi
Best shampoo out there for oily dandruff ! Used a $400 prescription shampoo for 15 years and of course it worked, however one just can't Afford to keep using a $400 shampoo every day at a 30 day prescription. I'm a licensed stylist and always heard and was taught that Tea Tree has healing ingredients that Actually work . Never had the chance to use it. One day I thought, I should go to my supply store and try some myself. It worked after only 1 use ! Paul Mitchell has the Best professional products out there ! I got the shampoo and conditioner combo and used it for the first time today. Here are my thoughts: The "tingly" feeling is real. At first I thought it was burning my scalp but it's not. I have extreme dandruff and have tried RX shampoos to help that never worked. My scalp at least "feels" clean. I've seen a lot of reviews about hair falling out and mine did not at all. I have hashimotos disease which causes hair loss to an extreme so I expected clumps again. NOPE. Make sure to brush through your hair before you wash it! This prevents any extra breakage. The small is very strong. I love essential oils for their healing properties but the smells are awful. No exception here! Any tee tree product will smell like this BTW. DISCLAIMER: tee tree can be poisonous in raw form. If you have allergies, do not use this. For people with psoriasis this will not be for you. Keep out of reach from pets as it is poisonous to cats and dogs even as a topical product. Anything with essential oil products can be potentially dangerous and I urge you to research before you buy! For me personally, I think it works great and a lot of the negative comments here are from user error but that's just my opinion.Kelsey

I’ll admit, I was skeptical. I had their fine hair shampoo/conditioner and was thrilled how well they work. I use probably 2-4 products a day because I have a wolf cut. I dry shampoo on the 2nd day and 3rd, and ideally shower the 3rd night or 4th day. I’ve been getting by just fine double shampooing, but I felt I needed something a liiiittle heavier duty. I always see people rave about this and for 30$, I was certainly giving it the side eye. Not anymore! I am a believer in this fry shampoo. I have previously religiously bleached hair, so my mid-shaft and ends can be very sensitive to harsher cleansers. I haven’t had any issues with this product at all so far. I have an incredibly oily scalp that even with my own oils and serums, still loves to produce its own factory of oil. If you have dryer hair but still want to detox, try pre-oiling your hair and scalp a bit before a shower, I think that could help A TON! I love how this removes all of the oils and gunk without making your hair feel like legit STRAW like some detox shampoos can. Reviewers complaining that it left them MORE oily forget that *THIS IS NOT FOR DAILY USE*. It literally says that. If you’re using a detox shampoo for daily use, why? Your poor hair. Anyway, I love this. I lather before I put on and really scrub with my nails and follow up with a shampoo massager to get all the grime and oil from my scalp. I leave it on for about a minute, then I rinse. Voila, perfectly soft and fluffy hair! Following with Ouai’s fine hair conditioner and my hair is bouncy and soft. Fine hair girls know the struggle of getting any sort of bouncy volume AND softness… and this really does help. I use this right now every Sunday. I love it for getting product out of my hair on days I may have used 5 products instead of my normal 4 and I HAVE to use it after 3 days. I started noticing problems in my hair at the start of 2020. I've always had thin hair but started experiencing hair loss in mid-2020 (I've never had covid). On top of this I have greasy hair – I'm talking my hair gets greasy every single day and I've tried training it to not be, but I've had greasy hair since the beginning of time so ruling this as genetics! Since 2020 I've been on the hunt for a shampoo that can get rid of the grease and not strip my hair, suffice to say this is the one! After much research and many shampoos later, I decided to get the OUAI detox shampoo. My hair instantly feels clean as soon as I lather the shampoo on. When I rinse, my hair is squeaky clean. It air-dries nicely (straight) and doesn't have any frizz in it afterwards. My hair feels healthy and looks fuller. I use this shampoo once a week for a deep clean, it keeps my hair oil-free for a bit longer but the biggest difference is that it doesn't get as greasy as it used to with my everyday shampoo. I've only used this 3 times and I'm already impressed and when it finishes I will get the full size version. Probably the only shampoo I'll continue to repurchase.Sam
Super bummed that this didn't work out as well for me as I though it would. For reference my hair texture is medium and straight (that good good thick asian girl hair) and I typically go 4-5 days between washes (trained my scalp decently enough to control oil because she gets *oily* ok). Not sure if I just used this wrong the first time (too much?? shouldn't have shampooed twice since I normally do that w my normal shampoo?? even tho I used less than a quarter sized amount??) but after the first use it completely stripped my scalp and make it super flaky and itchy (truly shocking given that my scalp is on the oilier side) and by the second day, my scalp was super greasy and dirty (not even dry shampoo could fix her). So bummed! Esp. since I don't really need to wash my hair/get greasy until day 4 or 5. Ever since then I haven't used it (went back to my main shampoo) but it seems like the effects still last aka my scalp/hair still gets greasy way earlier than it used to even though I've discontinued use, and I feel like i have to re-train my scalp to get to day 5 again. I'll give it another shot and use way less and only shampoo once, then maybe balance it out w my usual shampoo but for the time being this really wasn't for me. Overall some good pros were that it smells amazing and after using it (despite my scalp being ruined), I noticed all my other products penetrated my hair way better/worked better since I live in Chicago and the hard water, dry shampoo, and product build up is real.hellokimber

Let me preface this with 2 facts about myself: 1) I have had dandruff/dry scalp since I was a kid and nothing had ever helped, and 2) I don’t typically leave reviews, even if I really like a product. With that being said, this is the first dry scalp shampoo/conditioner that have ever worked for me, so I figured this might be helpful to anyone else who has had to deal with dandruff… I have been this shampoo/conditioner combo for a couple months and, within a couple weeks, noticed I wasn’t scratching my scalp as often. Then today, I did a dandruff check, wherein I rapidly scratched my scalp for 5-10 seconds while hovering over my black tabletop…gross, I know, but I was curious as to how many flakes would fall out. Whereas before using this combo, I could quickly scratch my for half a second and have a ton of flakes fall out onto my black clothing. Today, only 1 or 2 tiny flakes fell out. Idk about you, but that’s results to me. So, I came here to write this! As for those reviews from people saying this dried out their hair, note I try to only shampoo my hair once or twice per week MAX. I haven’t noticed that my hair has become dry with this shampoo/conditioner. I will point out that I use a leave-in conditioner once or twice a week as well.livxtine
One of the best dove products I like so far. I’m trying to find the best shampoo by Dove. So far the Argan and repair oil was stinky. Smelt like sugar cookies. This smelt like sweet cream almost like a light coconut cream scent. This really does help with a thirsty scalp to stop itching from dry winter months. I think this provides more moisture than their coconut hydration product. I’ve mild dandruff so I don’t know how this would work with someone with a medium or severe case. I do know that most dandruff shampoos need about 2 weeks to fully show results on your head and Google recommends to leave on 5 minutes so the medication can work. I agree with this because if you rinse out immediately then the medication can’t work inside your strands. Also this dandruff shampoo doesn’t make you feel your head went into a tumble land wasteland. I’ve used some dandruff shampoo that dried my hair out so bad that I had to use a deep moisture mask to save my hair. I highly recommend you try out their Soothing Moisture by their Dermascalp line. That conditioner is the best Dove conditioner I ever tried. Also Dove claims that all their products are color safe. I don’t dye my hair fun colors just black. I notice I can get by dying my hair once a month with this. But I wash my hair two times a week to further not irritate my scalp by washing my hair every other day. Also washing your hair in cold water also helps to prevent a dryer scalp. Just put your hair in an old pillowcase or t shirt then put hot water on to do body wash time. Dove is my favorite brand of shampoos. I wish all their products was sulphate free. But not everyone can afford a sulphate free dandruff shampoo or conditioner.Jill
I have struggled with dandruff for about a year now- waking up with an annoyingly itchy scalp that I just can’t stop itching. I have tried over the counter medicinal shampoos before (ones with coal) and I have to say, the smell was so bad I couldn’t even continue using those products. When I got this Dove shampoo about 3 weeks ago, my hopes were low. I have been struggling with dandruff for so long that I just didn’t see how a $5 shampoo that smells so wonderful could do the job. But let me tell you- I stand corrected. After just about 6 uses of this product- my flakes are for the most part gone. Even after just 2 uses I noticed the itching on my scalp was just about gone. If you struggle with excess sebum production on your scalp and you’re finding it difficult to part your hair due to all the flakes, give this product a try. I was not at all disappointed. I have been using the Shea Moisture conditioner for approximately two weeks and was provided them by #trywithtopbox as a #freeproduct for my honest review. I have fine, thin, waist length hair that is naturally blonde starting to go grey, that is prone to split ends and I would describe as normal to oily. I don't wash it daily but every 2 to 3 days it's just too much work to do daily. I used the conditioner as directed and found that my hair combed out fairly easily even while still wet which was great as it tends to tangle quite badly when I don't use a good conditioner on it. My hair was soft and shiny and manageable. The container for this feels slightly greasy when I handle it during use even after rinsing them off. The conditioner bottle uses a pump as a dispenser which is great but I couldn't get the original one that came with the bottle to function. I replaced it with one I had but I noticed that the thick conditioner dries and forms a plug that takes several pumps to force out. Overall I would say this was a good product that worked as advertised and if someone was looking to try this I would recommend it, I'm not sure if it is the best choice for me given the frequency with which I wash my hair.MargarethaM

I received this as a #freeproduct through #trywithtopbox, but this review is 100% my honest opinion. I have fine 2A/2B hair that is coloured/bleached. I really struggle to find conditioning products that are repairing and hydrating for the colour, but not too heavy for my fine hair. Most conditioners really weigh my hair down and make it oily. I didn’t have that experience with the SM manuka honey and yogurt conditioner! First off – the scent is lightweight and really nice. It smells exactly like honey, but isn’t too sweet. The formula is hydrating but not heavy. It’s a thinner consistency than a lot of other repairing conditioners, which worked really well for me. I use one pump from the nape of my neck to my ends and let it sit for a few mins before washing out with cold(ish) water. I don’t believe that long term results can be identified without using the entire bottle, but I will say that my hair has been shinier, easier to detangle after washing, and less frizz since starting to use this product. The ends of my hair are usually the driest, and they seem to be less damaged and have less obvious split ends. I would absolutely continue to use this product, and will rebuy! The only thing I didn’t love is the packaging – the pump on my bottle didn’t really work, and had a hard time getting any amount of product out. I don’t know if it was just mt bottle or a design flaw, but I ended up switching the pump with another bottles I have with a thicker tube, and have not had any problems since.RoseyB37

Kerakera products are great, but this product, in particular, is also great for low porosity natural hair. I use this product with a little bit of cold-pressed olive oil and a detangling conditioner. I mix all three together and I put in my hair like a mask and I sit under my hairdryer and Baby…… when I tell you my hair feels like butta… It really does feel nice. I have low-porosity hair. Another tidbit of information for you naturals out there, if you are struggling to find the detangling conditioner that has easy slip, the ingredient that you want to look for on the back of the bottle is called "Behentrimonium chloride". I have anxiety at might that makes me scratch my head, and then the next day I have to deal with the itchiness of my broken scalp and try not to make it worse. I decided I had to try a soothing shampoo because i was really suffering and it was keeping me from sleeping. Keracare really helped the itchiness, but I cant use it regularly because it leaves a really yucky residue on my hair. Its totally worth it when Im super itchy but I wouldnt use it preventatively because of that. I also didnt have dandruff, just itchiness, so I cant speak for how well it handles that. First and foremost, I think it's important to note that this product may have been made for people of color primarily in mind. For me, it's the name, the ingredients, and even the fragrance that brings that to mind. Customarily, I use Head & Shoulder's 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner product on my curly and coily hair for ease as well as to treat my dandruff problem. The Royal Oil shampoo has a similar texture as the aforementioned product, but with a smell that is light, yet musky. It's very refreshing! On rinsing it off, I find my head feels smooth, not waxy as some other shampoos leave your hair feeling. The conditioner feels like lotion when applied and doesn't appear to spread well. After leaving it in your hair for a while, however, I was surprised to notice how the product seemed to foam on my head making it much easier to rinse off. I tried this shampoo looking for product that would add volume to my fine/medium density hair and because I heard great things. This shampoo made my hair feel like straw after; it was incredibly staticky, dull, and had absolutely no volume. I followed up with the conditioner, and it felt like I hadn't put conditioner in my hair at all. After doing some research, I found out why: This shampoo contains sodium laureth sulfate or sulfate. It is extremely drying and strips your hair of natural oils; however, the effects of sulfate can be negated with a conditioner that uses silicone (a synthetic oil that is bad for the environment as it does not break down). The matching conditioner does not have silicone to recoat your hair, leaving it dry and brittle from the damaging effects of the shampoo. Ideally, you don't want sulfate or silicone in your hair. I don't know why this line would tote not having silicone but then still use sulfate. It's just setting your hair up for damage. I thought I would add what I found for anyone considering using this line, especially if you have sensitive scalp/hair. I believe nexxus does have some sulfate free shampoos.MichelleK103

First shampoo that has never caused me any issues. I have used free and clear, DHS and various natural brands that have all caused itching and flaking. I have used all the ones in the drugstore at one time or another with same reactions, plus these are usually way too scented to me. This is a clear gel, does have a very slight floral fragrance, I think sunflower fragrance. It is pretty expensive for the size, but I find it's concentrated, lathers just fine,rinses well.ani.p

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Shampoo conditioner dup is perfect for summer and humid weather but i will suggest it not to use in winter unless you have oily scalp or oily hair. I have normal hair and normal scalp which tends to get dry in winters and this duo alone is not enough. So I use this duo alternatively with my moisturizing shampoo-conditioner that time. The only reason I can’t give this 5-stars is the scent. It reminds me too much of my mother so it’s not a selling point for me. Normally my hair is hard to please because of how fine it is but pretty normal otherwise. Most products are geared towards such specific things but even so I have a lot of trouble finding good fits for my hair. This doesn’t weigh my hair down, and gets rid off all the dry shampoo since I wash my hair about 2-3 times a week.
