I’ve been using this shampoo for a few weeks and I really like it…I just don’t know if it’s worth the price tag yet. I received the shampoo and conditioner for free in exchange for a review. The pros are….it makes my hair feel soft, look thicker/more voluminous, doesn’t weigh my hair down, I don’t lose as much hair when I brush it, less shedding in between washes and I see a tiny bit of hair re-growth. My only con is the price. Normally I use dove shampoo and it’s like $5. If it makes my hair re-grow I will repurchase it but if not I’ll stick to dove. It’s a luxury formula so aesthetically I like the way the packaging looks but functionally it’s harder to open and close. When my hands are wet it’s hard to unscrew the top and put it back on but it looks luxurious in my shower so packaging wise I’m 50/50 on. Overall it does what it claims so if you don’t mind spending a little more on hair care then it’s worth itsarlizz
I received this product as part of a free trial, and my opinions are my own. I love the packaging. The large mouth on the top makes it nice to store upside down in my shower caddy, which helps me get all the product out. The scent is nice, and the formula feels much like most high-end shampoos. I really enjoy a luxurious lather, and this does not disappoint. I have waist-length hair, and in order to get a good lather from root to tip, I have to use three times as much shampoo as the average person. I shampoo twice to ensure my hair is clean. With the second wash I get even more lather. I have not, however, noticed any change in the density or thickness of my hair after one use. I have thinning hair at the top of my crown. I was only allotted enough time to use the product once within my normal wash schedule before posting a review, so I cannot report on the claims of thickening my hair. I received Kerastase Densifique Bain Densite Shampoo as part of a free sample program in exchange for my honest opinion. There are not a lot of shampoos I can sample because most have a harsh surfactant that I am allergic to. Fortunately for me, this one did not have it. I was impressed with the thick creamy shampoo. The packaging was not my favorite because I prefer a pump for ease of use, but it wasn’t terrible. The directions say use a quarter size dollop, and that wasn’t going to work for my long hair. But it has a nice, thick lather that I appreciated. The scent was not overwhelming and felt luxurious. I loved the way my hair felt afterwards as well. I am 5 months postpartum and am struggling with hair loss. This product definitely made my hair feel a bit more full after just one use. LOVE LOVE LOVE. The biggest thing to know about Aveda’s Invati line is that it does not treat alopecia or any pre-balding spots. What it is does is strengthen your hair to reduce the amount of breakage, and it absolutely DOES WORK. When I would brush my hair, I would look like a Yeti (not the tumbler), but I noticed an improvement almost right away after using this every morning. It does not require you to use the full Invati system for it to work, which is nice, but of course it’s recommended for maximum results. If you're experiencing thinning hair or hair loss issues, the Invati range is aimed at helping that – minus the harsh chemicals…Back in 2017 Aveda updated all the formulations in this line up (which I first tried way back in 2011) and being a big fan of Aveda products I was looking forward to finally seeing what the upgraded products had to offer… Firstly, the ingredients. There's more of them: beneficial herbs and plant extracts aplenty in this and of course no SLS. The packaging has also been improved. I had issues with the dispenser clogging up with the old version, so far this one has not given me any problems. I use this every second day, massaging into my scalp and letting it do its thing for a couple of minutes whilst I soap up. You don't have to off course as instructions don't suggest this, I just find it more beneficial to allow the ingredients a chance to be absorbed and work their magic. It smells nice – herbal-y with a hint of Lavender and perhaps Rosemary in there, lathers quite well and rinses out easily leaving my hair looking shiny and getting rid of any scalp build-up. Results have been quite good so far, it does seem to help with reducing hair loss when used as a full system, but I find that the cost involved in purchasing all the products quickly adds up, example: shampoo is $34 USD for 6.7 fl oz) which for me is slightly on the 'high' side. I purchased this about three weeks ago. I can't see any noticeable reduction in hair loss. I think it depends a lot on the type of hair loss as to whether these topical treatments will work for you. However, I do find this shampoo has managed to somewhat revitalise my hair. It's less oily between washes, and the new growth does appear to be a little thicker. It feels like a little pick me up for you scalp. It has a pleasant refreshing tingle when you apply it, and it lathers really well. You can use a little less of this than you would of your normal shampoo, so the 375ml bottle will last you a little longer. I would buy this again, as I have only been using it three weeks I think the full benefits of this product may not yet be fully seen. As with most products from brickell, I don’t prefer the smell. Their scented and unscented products don’t smell great for me, and I have lots of them now. They all do work fantastic, however. The shampoo my be my least favorite of the products I own if only because of the scent and dryness it leaves my scalp with. The conditioner in the other hand is a great product and I use it on my beard at times too. All the face products are great. The face lotion works really well for my dry skin and is what sold me on their products to be honest. I have relatively thin hair. I typically use Bosley and/or Nioxin as a way to keep my hair from thinning. Both of those will tend to cause a bit of a burning sensation. I gave the Genesis Homme a 1 week challenge and could not believe the results. The product had my hair feeling very full and manageable, not to mention, it spells amazing and lathers beautifully. I used it on my hair and beard and was very happy with the results. I will say this is a luxury item, much more expensive than I would typically buy, but you need probably a dime sized amount for short hair and the bottle seems to last forever. This is a passable conditioner. It is super light and doesn't bog down my hair with a bunch of product or residue. It smells great! A little does go a long way, so you don't really need a ton. However, it is NOT a detangler at all, and will leave your hair a mess. Since it's so light, it's difficult to comb through, even in the shower before rinsing. Even though it is designed to strengthen hair, I have little evidence it does so, as you have a mess of tangles after rinsing that you must comb through. I have definite shed and breakage doing so, but no evidence if that is general breakage from the age/length of my hair or if the product is causing stress and damage from a failure to detangle. After an in person consultation about my hair loss & fine hair I was advised to purchase the full Invati Range plus an intensive moisturising mask, a curly prep spray, curl gelee & hair oil. So, little fun story before we get into the full review. I was going to upload the picture of the shampoo liquid itself but the bottle stole the show that had to submit that instead, it looks like a small cologne bottle, but it is shampoo! and guess what, smells like a good manly fragrance too. Tried the product and I loved it, obviously didn't feel instant results about the moisture part but the nice aroma it leaves in your hair it's perceived from the first use. I suffer of dry skin, that also includes scalp. After a week of usage I noticed reduced dryness, thank god. I wanted to write a review on this product and express my sheer disappointment in its performance. By far though, this is the worst Conditioner I’ve ever used! I have it two stars because yes my hair is slightly softer than if I didn’t use conditioner at all, but this product doesn’t soften or condition my hair anywhere near as good as other products I have used including suave, dove, and others. This conditioner is quite runny and not very thick like a typical conditioner is, and I blame this for why it doesn’t work. I feel like whatever this is made out of just isn’t quite as good as a typical conditioner is. My hair is all weird on the ends and just isn’t soft like I desired. Because of this, I won’t be continuing to purchase this product anymore. I will buy a different brand as I know how it will effect my hair. I will include a 2 day picture and a 2week picture for comparison. The 2 day picture is the one in which my hair isn’t curly. I found the fragrance to be very pleasant. It reminds me of wet bark or moss on river rocks. It also has a sweet gardenia note. My hair was already in good shape prior to testing the Blackwood conditioner so the best I can say for it is that my hair is still in good shape. It kept my hair soft and silky. If you're into woodsy smells then this would be a good option. My only issue with it is the container. Sadly in my area I can’t recycle number seven plastics, your location may differ. I also find that the nice looking bottle will keep me from using all the product up, so not that economical. But on the plus side it has a pump and that will help with portioning.gaby

My repeat purchase. First purchase was a normal Bosley shampoo and this is for color treated. I like the texture. The scent is great. It doesn’t feel heavy after washing. This was a wonderful shampoo which I've used for many years. It rinsed out nicely, left hair clean with no residue, no itchy scalp, no dandruff, and left hair manageable. Recently they changed the packaging and the formula, different ingredients. Why do companies change a good thing? Drastic change in my hair and scalp – hair is flat, falling out, and scalp is itchy. Now looking for a replacement shampoo because I won't be buying this brand anymore.Sunshine

has a great scent and the package was secured, good size product but I personally think the composition is not that great, it has a lot of " danger" or allergy notes so it may not be good for people with sensitive scalp. I'm not sure and can't say anything about the quality or if it benefits the hair and body since I decided not to use it .iHerb Customer
Purchased for my 13-yr-old son, initially from a beauty supply chain I frequent. Love it! Does not leave his skin/hair dry or oily. When it was time to replenish, they had stopped carrying it. I use it on my 3 mixed son's. They have long hair and really get messy. It's gentle enough for everyday use and I usually stay away from all in ones but this works great. It doesn't tangle their hair and leaves a masculine clean scent. I like how a little goes a long way too.nichole.k

I purchased this about three weeks ago. I can't see any noticeable reduction in hair loss. I think it depends a lot on the type of hair loss as to whether these topical treatments will work for you. However, I do find this shampoo has managed to somewhat revitalise my hair. It's less oily between washes, and the new growth does appear to be a little thicker. It feels like a little pick me up for you scalp. It has a pleasant refreshing tingle when you apply it, and it lathers really well. You can use a little less of this than you would of your normal shampoo, so the 375ml bottle will last you a little longer. I would buy this again, as I have only been using it three weeks I think the full benefits of this product may not yet be fully seen. Either way, I like that my hair is much shinier, looks healthier, and stays cleaner between washes. It's also reasonably priced compared to other brands.Bl4ckKat
This is designed for men but I am female with thin, fine hair. Since using this shampoo My hair feels thicker, fuller and stronger. The bottle recommends daily washing but as it contains no softening silicones and my hair is very porous, I am using it every other wash which averages Once a week usage. Because if this you will also need to apply a good conditioner when washing. You will notice as soon as you attempt to tangle your wet hair how much more ‘grit’ it has. I have been using Alpecin for a couple of years and really didn't notice a different. I kept using it cos my wife bought her hair products and this was mine. I hadn't seen my twin brother for over 10 years and decided to go visit him. When I saw him he had lost so much hair I was gob-smacked! It was until I saw him that Alpecin really works. Even he said "did you get a hair transplant!" I had so much hair that if I didn't use the Alpecin shampoo I would have been as bald as him.
