Best Shaver For Body Hair (2023 Update)

This is a great, Great Razor!!! It must be charged for the night or a few hours when you first get it though. You don't need to leave it plugged in though. Once it has been charged fully, you will have several days worth of power. It is very quiet, it gives a really close shave and it is really smooth on the face. In addition, it is very simple to clean. You can removed the guard and it reveals the blades of the razor. You just run some water over the blades and it removes the hair clippings.bj987keller

The Good: Great feel, grip, shave, ease of cleaning, quick charge time, trimmer is handy for sideburns to shape them up between haircuts. The Bad: I have now gone through two of these in about 2 years….the first lasted about 18 mos, the second, about 5. Problem? For whatever reason, after awhile, it will not charge. I also use shaving cream when I get out of the shower and use the razor, rinse it before, during and after use….and always and I mean always, after the period of time, you get up, plug it in, go in the shower, come out, dead. It won't charge. My guess? The Lithium Ion Batts. While ALL batteries have a lifespan, they should be much longer thant this. I rinse the head during shaving (shaving cream buildup and hair) 2-3 times while shaving paying attention to let the water drain down 90-95%….I don't think it's water intrusion….as deep as this thing goes is running it under the faucet head down? I used both the old and new charger….the new one shows all power lights on for about 2-3 seconds, goes dim, dead……there is something about these batteries that are not right….I am off to Walmart this mornign to get a 3rd in less than 3 years THIS time WITH the cheap warranty…..I have used Brauns for over 30 years and the batteries always seem to be the issue…do NOT pack them in luggage that will go in the cargo hold or you will find them dead, not chargeable when you get to your destination…this one is ONLY used at home. I take a cheap corded Braun on the road and it's about 20 years old now, still works but it's a dry shave…irritating…….I like the ability to use shaving cream for a much more comfortable shave but, this battery thing is aggravating…..over the 30 years I have gone through multiple 3, 5, 7 and 9 series razors…they ALL have battery failures eventually…so you end up buying a new one…..why? Because the other brands suck MORE. I have had Remington, Norelco (couldn't shave close with a gun to it's head), Chinese knockoffs even a small cordless from Harbor Freight that despite is size and slow speed delivered a great shave until it quit working…..it seems that if a rechargeable battery is run for 20 mins a day max, 6-7 days a week, it SHOULD last more than 6 months….never dropped, never abused, always left open on the counter after rinsing to let the head and razor dry after separated….still died….ridiculous…..I only hope the warranty is worth something when the next one croaks….no warning either….just dies…..still the best brand overall….Terry

I've never really liked wet dry shavers but this one changed my mind. it shaves flawless and leaves you face as smooth as using a traditional razor. i love that it's wireless and it charges very quickly and stays charged for a great amount of time. and cleaning is a breeze with the included brush and removable heads. you can also remove the head and run it under water for a deep clean. all around this is and excellent shaver.James

5/5 Out of the shower Actually quite satisfying watching all the hairs fall off my legs. Quite flawless performance when it comes to out of the shower experience. This CUTS, mows down every single hair you can see. 1/5 In the shower The hair will stick to your body and that will make it harder to actually shave those hairs. Ended up nicking my armpit multiple times with this too. 3/5 For noise This is loud, like you can hear it from a room and maybe 2 rooms away. Everyone in the house will know you're shaving yourself. 4/5 Shaving length It's like 1mm of hair left on the legs so it's not perfect but it's still amazing for an electric shaver. Overall 3/5 I would use this more often but it's both noisy and hard to use in the shower. Other than those 2 gripes, it performs well everywhere else. I was shaving in the shower for 30 minutes and another 10 minutes out of the shower, it still has juice left to use. The shaving performance is practically unparalleled compared to other shavers that I have used before. Even though I rated this a 3/5 I'd still recommend it to a friend, EASY.JLam

I recently got the Philips Norelco Bodygroom, a two in one trimmer and shaver. It must be said, up front, that this is a ***body*** hair trimmer and shaver… intended for your back, shoulders, chest, abs, underarm, arms, groin and legs. OOB, you get the two in one body hair trimmer/shaver, a cleaning brush, a proprietary charger, instructions, and a registration pamphlet. I am a hairy guy. Not quite sasquatch level, but not too far off, at least according to my wife. I have coarse hair also. It takes a pretty powerful shaver/trimmer to tame what I have going on. The short version is that the Philips Norelco Bodygroom has what it takes to get the job done, but please read on. You get a four-way contouring/pivoting shaver that first cuts your hair (with pre-cut blades on either side of the foil) and then foil shaves it down. I typically trim my chest, etc. with an adjustable trimmer head to a little over a 1/4 inch. But, for the purpose of this review, I charged the bodygroom (the green LED blinked while charging and turned solid green when done) and tried the foil shaver on the upper portion of my chest, to give the area shape. It did a great job. Close, smooth, exact… and no nicks. Note that you do not need to put a lot of pressure on the Bodygroom as you move it across your body. The way that the housing is ergonomically shaped (with a non-slip housing) is perfectly positioned to give you the right amount of pressure and surface drag. And, this was a dry shave. Yes, there was some irritation as a result of the dry shave, but that’s to be expected… and the irritation went away pretty quickly. For the remainder of my body hair, I used the adjustable trimmer head. The trimmer head offers 5 trim lengths, ranging from 1/8” (3mm) to 7/16” (11mm). It includes a guard that is easy to adjust with one finger, as well as self-sharpening blades. I had my wife take care of my back (my first time doing that, for which she was very happy). In the shower, shower off, I took care of my arm pits, chest, and other areas. There were instances where the hair “clogged” the trimmer guard, but I haven’t had a trimmer guard yet where that didn’t happen. Turn it over, shake it off, keep soldiering through. Easy enough. After cleaning up the shag carpet on the shower floor, so as not to block up my drain, I then showered and, with the water running (and given the Bodygroom is “showerproof”/water-resistant – but don’t submerge it (e.g., in a bathtub or sink), of course), took another go. At no point (dry or wet) was there an instance when there was a pinch or pull due to the trimmer blades. The self-sharpening trimmer blade was key here. My one gripe about the use of the Bodygroom was that there were instances where I could feel “drag” from the trimmer guard across more sensitive areas. It wasn’t unbearable. And, after a little I was able to learn how to maneuver to avoid the drag. But, this isn’t my first rodeo with body hair trimmers. Yet, this was the first guard with which I experienced the issue. After all was said and done, I dried the Bodygroomer, removed the trimmer guard, popped off the blade head, and cleaned the Bodygroom using the included brush. Super easy. According to the specs, the lithium ion battery in the Bodygroomer takes an hour to charge and offers 80 minutes of use. After a full charge, I used it for about 40 minutes total. It didn’t bog down once. I did recharge it before storing it and will likely charge it again before use, as I tend to go a little bit between “grooming” sessions. Other than keeping this thing clean, there’s no other maintenance. No oiling, no blade sharpening… nothing. Also, Philips Norelco offers a 5-year warranty. The manufacturer does make replacement shaving foil heads and shaving foil head cleaning spray, so just how long the foil head will last remains to be seen. A few minor bones to pick. You cannot use this device while you are charging it – but, given you’re likely to use it in the shower, with the shower running… not being able to charge it while using it is likely a good thing. In addition, I wish it came with a case that held the Bodygroom, the charger, and the brush. I’ll likely end up throwing it in an oversized zipper sandwich bag but a travel bag would’ve been a very solid addition. So, worth buying? Absolutely. For the reasons provided above, the Philips Norelco Bodygroom is a solid four star purchase and worth every penny. It’s ergonomic, easy to handle, provides two cutting surfaces (a foil shaver with pre-cutting blades and an easy to clean trimmer with self-sharpening blades and a 5-position adjustable guard), and thanks to those cutting surfaces gives you the versatility needed to shave your back, shoulders, chest, abs, underarm, arms, groin and legs. It holds a great charge and has enough power to make short work (see what I did there) of coarse body hair with zero problems. I wish it came with a travel bag, but c’est la vie. I am a 75 year old woman and I have trouble raising my arms to groom my hair between cuts. My hair is short and layer cut – almost as short as a man. This worked really well. Now we have the Delta variant, so I contacted my barber that I was going to put off getting my hair cut for a while. Needless to say, I could tell he was not happy. He did not return my text, which was unprofessional!! I knew I had to do something, so I purchased the Titanium Trimmer; received it yesterday and the batteries were included; and I just used it and it was fabulous! I did it entirely solo! Very easy to use! Very easy cleaning! My hair looks great! So I will no longer get my hair professionally done ever again! I 100% recommend the trimmer!SEXXYLYPPS

Time consuming. Multiple passes required. 90% efficient, therefore 30 mins later after a body shave 10% hair still missed. Occasionally came across a block of hair that just wouldn't shave after multiple passes at varied angles and I remembered how my battery operated trimmer got most hair on first pass. The angle of motion must be just right to get a clean shave. Suffered rashes after. I gave it 5 stars as the negative experience was perhaps my own and the product shaves as advertised And shaving can cause discomfort to the skin. However the name says Trimmer! So im confused, does it shave or trim? Personally im going back to real trimming.Marko

I’ve had this for 24 mths and rate this at 3 stars. Why? I am by no means a Sasquatch and it takes 2 mths until another shave is required. My scoring is that the first shave with fresh blades is super, the 2nd shave a couple mths later is now good (not super) and by the 3rd use I’m really having to drag the unit forcefully across the area which results in some cuts and a struggle to shave the actual hair. So it is my opinion that the poor life span of the blades drags the score down to a 3. Although I’ve discussed this with store consultants, use the cleaning spray, maintain and clean the device, essentially it’s dives down in effectiveness in a hurry after the first 2 uses with fresh blades. I won’t be replacing the blades but instead looking for an alternate solution for my next shave.Mars

I have used the BakBlade a couple of times since my purchase. I will only shave wet, as I am not brave enough to do it dry. Anyway, there is just a learning curve for me. The first time I cut myself in a couple of places. That could be I was using a little too much force and just getting used to shaving my back which is awkward because you can't see it. The next time I eased up on the pressure and only had one very small nick. I have recently been practicing on my legs, chest, arms to see if I can find that perfect angle. No nicks doing that so I will try those techniques on my back. Just a thought, a very detailed instructional video discussing pressure to apply, the angle you should hold the BakBlade, and the best method for the different parts of the back would be great. The videos online currently are overviews and not really detailed.Elliot C.

I want to love all of the manscaped so bad. What I do love, is the blade and how it does not Knick or cut you. I’m a woman, I use it and my husband uses it and we both like that feature.
That is the only reason why it’s getting 1 star and not 5.

What is REALLY lame about the rest of it is the battery life and speed/ability to cut through course hair. It takes about 5+ hours to charge, and once it is charged you have about 2 mins of usage until the motor slows down and your battery life light is back to red. And yes I did actually time it all. SUPER LAME!!

Thing worked fine for a while, until it sliced my coin purse open. The “skinsafe” cutting head sliced me open like a razor knife. Wrote to customer service about it, their response was to offer a replacement head. Thanks but no thanks.
Then my trimmer became possessed. It would turn itself on and off randomly. It woke me up one night buzzing away after it had jumped off the counter onto the tile floor. I turned it off only to have it turn back on again seconds later. Tried plugging it into the charger, no dice. Still turned itself on. So I took the head off it and left it in the sink bowl so it couldn’t damage anything else.
Customer service offered a free replacement. I accepted and gave my mailing address. They sent me a replacement CUTTING HEAD. FOR THE TRIMMER I CANT EVEN USE ANYMORE.

It stopped working after less than 15 uses. I use it as intended, but also on my head if my fuzz gets to long for a Bic. First of all, I think a handheld Bic is safer, iv cut myself dozens of with this, and second it broke after a dozen of so uses. It is supposed to under warranty, but when I emailed I said if it's not covered under warranty and this is the quality of product I can expect, I wish to cancel all subscriptions. They canceled all subscriptions. Just shows that they don't even stand behind their own product.michael walker

i liked the design and the concept of the trimmer… and I realized before i bought it that i would have to spend money before i found out if it was any good. But such is life, and it does look pretty nifty. Searching reviews wasn’t doing any good, nor were review videos off youtube. Every video and review online is sponsored by Philips, and they’ve cornered the market. Every “review” sounds like a infomertial. You just can’t get an honest opinion. So screw it- i just bought one with trepidation.

It’s been a year since then, and here’s my opinion for what it’s worth. The Philips OneBlade is JUNK! To begin with, i shave my face AND head and do so regularly. However, with three days growth, the blade wasn’t able to make it all the way through without being replaced- straight out the box.

The kicker? It has a 3 month shelf life before it won’t charge enough for a shave. That’s right, i’m on number four because they quit charging. All of them. Even now, i’m headed to court in a suit and tie, and half my face is shaved. the other half has a weeks growth from a holiday. I look like an idiot.

Try googling “OneBlade won’t Charge” and watch a new world open up before you. Thousands of people also have this issue, not to mention blade life when they cost a fortune.

Nothin beats an all in one face shaver when you don’t have to go back and forth between different styles of razor's. Philips Norelco OneBlade 360 Face has precise accuracy and gets a very close shave! I love how close it gets without having to use a straight razor. The blade and head of the shaver runs close to the skin to catch the smallest hairs and leaves it baby soft. I was surprised at how well it did with only one pass and hands down will use this one for every shave. Phillips designed this product with shaving in mind and in my several uses, I have yet to see the normal cuts you would get with a regular razor. My favorite part is how the blades line up my beard so easily without frustration. The slim design is easy to see around and fits in a travel bag perfectly. The battery is long lasting and charges very quick. This took over the #1 spot in my shave routine and has been going strong for me without an issue. Phillips nailed this one!!!AudiDad88

First time I used Oneblade I was amazed. Still today I use it almost always over other 3 types of razor I have. Razor(5 blade), trim razor rechargeable, and electric 3 head rechargeable are the three. They all work fine but the Oneblade does the job so much better. This is one of those products that you hope the manufacture doesn't ever discontinue. It is like nothing I have tried before, until you try you will not understand. I know I should tell you how smooth it is, how close it cuts, how it never cuts you, and it is amazing ability to get those curved areas of the face as easy as anything. If you purchase it and you do not like it I give, well it is not my product. But the faith in it is that strong you could put your promise on the product. Price around $29 is the another reason you can come up with to cause any more delay. I will stop acting silly, seriously a great product. This is from a proud owner of one since spring 2022.Joey

This is my second one blade so the fact that I ordered another one says it all! As someone with very sensitive, acne and in grown hair prone skin I was never able to shave using the traditional razor and shaving cream method. I have tried out many hand held razors from cheap to very expensive but none of them lasted more than a few months never mind an entire year. I saw the one blade at my local pharmacy and decided to try it as I’ve had decent success with norelco in the past. This was the shaver I’ve needed and wanted all my life! The flat head design ensures stability while shaving and also makes it incredibly easy to shape my beard, side burns etc. What I love the most about the one blade is that it shaves the skin pretty much as close as a regular razor without the “side effects” of a traditional razor. No longer do I suffer with acne, razor bumps or irritation after shaving. This new one blade greatly improves upon the first iteration in the design of the guides and charging stand. The first one had individual length guides that didn’t really stay on that well and no charging base. I love the design of this new model because the guide stays on even while trimming the jawline and the lcd screen shows how much charge is left. For how small this thing is it has always held a charge very well. I shave about every week-ish and a full charge lasts about a month depending on how much I shave. The disposable heads last a long time as well given I tidy-up the thicker hair of the torso and below the belt, using a separate blade of course. My first one blade has lasted me over 3 years and it would probably still work if I didn’t drop it so much. To sum up my review, if anyone has had the same issues as I have using a traditional razor than I implore you to give this a try! Your skin will thank you!JNYC

I have always struggled with shavers, I am fair haired and my beard grows slowly so I usually go clean shaven but recently I have tried some different lengths of beard. With this Oneblade Pro I can manage the length easily, the guard comes with an adjustable comb so you can set it between 0.5 and 10mm, the best bit about that is it adjusts so simply with a turn of the wheel, the numbers are nice and clear so it's easy to set where you want it and it also doesn't move while shaving so you get a good even shave. I have attached a couple of photos, when I heard I was getting this I let my beard grow out so it was pretty long and untamed, for the first try I basically took it all off with a combination of using the guard and then removing it for a smooth finish, you can see the difference and it was an effortless shave no fuss and a nice smooth face. Battery life wise it's great so far, charged up once, used every day for a week and it's still going strong, I am guessing it will need charging soon but I can't complain at all. It is comfortable in the hand and us really sinple to use, the rotating head makes shaving so easy and it follows the contours of your face very well. It.comes with an extra blade for body shaving which I haven't used yet but its good to have the option. It comes with a standard 2 pin shaving plug for the bathroom socket and the lead is long enough to not cause any issues. It's much better for me than having to use a beard trimmer if I want to have some decent stubble and have a separate razor for when I want to be clean shaved, this does both really well and I would recommend it to anyone.Mooseman34

I will start this review by saying that I've exclusively used electric razors basically since I discovered what they were after I started shaving. I've used many different types and qualities over the years to varying levels of success. Unfortunately, the Philips Norelco Oneblade Pro fails to live up to the hype. In concept, the idea is interesting and unique, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. To start, the blade touts itself as being able to handle all lengths of hair, and I had gone almost 2 weeks without a shave (which is uncommon for me) so I figured what better way to test it. I tend to shave my neck clean and leave a bit of a 2-3 day shadow on my face so that's what I aimed for. While it accomplished this task, it was much more difficult and took much longer than my traditional method. I started with clean saving using the Oneblade without the guard on it, and it does well enough, although since it only cuts along the top and bottom edges, I found covering large flat areas to be a bit of an interesting experience. Since it doesn't cut directly under the flat middle part of the blade, you have to be sure there is room to move the blade up and down around it without cutting hair you don't want cut. The angle of the blade on the base does not lend itself to this experience. Trying to angle it without flipping it over is nearly impossible, and flipping it over means the teeth of the blade are directly against your skin. Fortunately the rounded edges do save you from any terrible mishaps, but it still does not lend itself to a very easy shaving experience. Once I finished the clean shaven portion of my neck, I attached the comb and set it to '3' (which I imagine is something akin to 3mm of my old Philips Norelco comb. It does manage to keep a consistent 3mm cut throughout, but it's like taking a weed-eater to a full yard of 5ft weeds. Yes, it CAN do it, but it does not do it well. As the blades cut the hair, it would just pile up and jam into the top of the comb until the comb and blades so full of hair they could no longer reach my face, and instead required me to remove the comb, tap out the hair and brush off the blades. The other strange thing about this design is that with the comb installed, only one of the two cutting edges is in use, which means if you only ever use it with the comb installed, or mostly use it with the comb installed, you will dull one side of the blade much sooner than the other. The blade cannot be flipped over to allow you a fresh cutting edge on the side that you use less. One thing I will mentioned about this, is that it is more comfortable than any travel razor I've ever used. So for travel, I would choose it over most other options if you're not willing to pack a bigger or bulkier razor. Bottom line, It will accomplish what it set out to do, but unfortunately it does not do any of those things well. It's comfortable, if a little strange to use and does not nick or cut the skin even if you have to use it at strange angles. But for the same tasks there are better options.Beradon

The product pictured and described on the Ulta app is The item pictured / described on the Ulta App is not the same item I received. The shaver came earlier today. It has ONE shaving head not two. There is NO charging base, only a plug in wall charger. When I called customer service they could not tell me if the replacement item they are sending will actually be the two head shaver with a charging base. ((Why?!?)) I guess I'll have to wait for another 7-10 days for my "maybe it is, maybe it's not" the right item to arrive.Wendy

Bought for in store pick-up. I was provided a completely different razor that does not come with a base. The color around the button is solid pink and not white. And it has a dofferent head. All other stores sell that version along with the one advertised here. The employee berated my husband telling him he does not know anything that this is the new and improved model she provided us in our order. That it does not matter that it does not come with a base or that the head only has a single blade. Tried to shove a razor that elsewhere sells down my hsubands throat for $10 that does not match the product they list here (elsewhwre also sells this razor and it is the same price). Just lost a long time customer. Do not try to pawn off cheap products by advertising something else and stating what you are giving them is just a new version (when it is not.)SarHD

This thing -isn’t a replacement for old school blades if you want a razor close shave. I use a nice set of wahl hair/beard trimmers on my head and face and use a razor on the face if I want it super smooth. This thing is better for body hair and has a much less aggressive motor and a greater feeling of safety when used in and around sensitive areas. I sample tried on my leg and thigh and was impressed with the smoothness. I tried on my face and I need the power of my $50 wahl. In my teenage or early twenties this thing would have been perfect for a quick no nick face shave that’s super cheap. My girlfriend hasn’t used it yet but she’s excited to try.Tyler Wilson

I was greatly disappointed with this razor on first trial. After reading numerous scathing reviews had given up on the idea that this was a good purchase. I ordered a new blade just to rule out that the original blade was defective. It was not. The new blade was just as bad as the original. I bought this razor last January. Before throwing it away I decided to take one more look at the razor. The body and motor seemed to be well made and the motor is certainly sufficient to cut a hair. Maybe the problem is the blade. My best guess is that the lubricants used in the manufacturing process are not removed after the blade is assembled, and over time and dry into a sticky varnish like coating. I noticed this when trying to move the blade manually. I washed the blade in alcolhol then lubricated it with a light oil.The razor performed very well. Try this. Hope it works for you. This is basically just an electric shaver, without the cord. It's great for shaving your feet and ankles (no cuts), but I wouldn't really recommend it for anything else. I used it in the bikini area, and ended up with bright red, chafed skin that lasted for at least two days. So I won't be doing THAT again. Also, it doesn't provide a super smooth shave, like you get with a razor. Major disappointment, as I was expecting it to be as good as the Flawless Facial hair remover, which is excellent. This product is also very LOUD, which I would have been willing to forgive if the shaving results were better.skyebluetopaz

Got this product after a lot of research and other people telling me how much they love their other flawless products. I only had to charge it once because the battery last a long time. Well finally it died, which I recommend stopping shaving if it's close to dying. I went to charge it and it wouldn't charge. I left it sitting, thinking it was charging, it got really hot and no life. It doors work really well on the underarms. I have super sensitive skin and hate using a razor because it hurts so bad. This actually aloud me to shave my underarms without pain and got fairly close. I will say this is only really good for bikini and underarm areas.Sam

I have used non electric back shavers before and they were worthless. After reviewing this Mangroomer pro cordless on many forums I purchased this at a great Walmart low price. It's well designed, good grip with rubberized handle. It's rechargeable cordless design is great and it works great. With the multiple angles of the extension handle I was easily able to get every nook and cranny of my back hair, shoulders, with ease. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to keep your whole body trimmed.Tonyzany23

I am not new to using a small clipper. I so I think I know what I am talking about. I was shocked how cheep it felt in my hand. Seems like it has no real strength to it. I truly wonder how long it will last. Be sure to never drop it, or it will be gone. It did trim the hair off my back, but then my back hair is very fine. And I did manage to scrap myself up a bit too. Another thing I was shocked about, when it's is on charge, it wont run. So when the batteries die you cant just plug it in and keep using it. And you cant take it apart to put in new ones. But that do tell you how to take out the circuit board with the batteries on it to toss it out. For what I paid for it I thought it would be much better. So I will use it till it goes and then get the cheaper one. All it really is, is the edge trimmer on an electric shaver on a stick. If you have one, you know how they last. Be sure to keep it oiled and clean it every time you use it…. One last thing, it does work me, but I just wonder for how long…..2011jakecarl

Alas it got blunt over the years and on seeing the price of the replacement blades it made good sense to order a brand new replacement. I thought I was buying the same again but this new Mangroomer is a pale imitation. Made by the same company and costing the same it's a far inferior product. It's much lighter and has no real weight to it making it harder to use. The weaker joints mean that it won't stay in position plus it is now battery operated not rechargeable. Luckily I used the cutting blade of the new one to revamp my old one so I'm still not being hassled by zoo keepers.afrocub

Nothing worse than a company praying you don’t read the smaller text. I was unfortunate enough to buy in store to find out that the 100% waterproof is only for cleaning. Very annoying- but maybe passable if its use was good? Absolutely not. Took forever to get anything off my face which a normal razor could have done 3 times over in the time I tried to use this- and my face still isn’t properly shaven. This is my first experience with a Braun razor. I wear a beard, but still need to keep my neck & cheeks nice and neat. I shaved with a hand razor for years, it was fine. I was interested in a foil razor, but wasn't sure if I'd be able to keep my definition lines on my face without destroying them. However, a friend of mine who also sports a beard has used a Braun for years, no issues. For the price I paid for this razor, I thought I'd try. Not sure why this little razor isn't getting more love, maybe people just don't know how to shave. It works darn good. I can shave closer & faster than I can with a blade, no irritation, and it does not destroy my beard lines. I can't imagine how good your expensive models shave, this little guy works well. Only wish I could use with a cord, but that's not a deal breaker. Don't ignore this razor!mike6000

There was nothing at all to dislike about this product. I found it to be an amazing piece of machinery. You see I have Parkinson's disease. It eventually became impossible for me to use standard blade razor because I could not twist my wrist to the angles needed to save the contours of my face at the jawline on the sides of my face. This razor is lightweight definitely waterproof and easily glides over all the contours of my face with its pivoting blades. Or I also like to point out that it was easy for me to hold because of the texture of the outside casing of the razor itself you see I have no strength in my hands either. I promise that this razor gives just as close a shave as a standard triple Blade razor.Philip

I had one similar to this two years ago and loved it so I had to get another! It grabbed those stubbles in private areas that a regular razor can’t! The only negative things I have to say is it sometimes it pinches. If you have longer hair that gets into the foil part it pulls and the side blades hurt a little(can cut your sensitive bits)Adriane

This was not exactly what I thought I was ordering for him, but he is getting used to it and now he really likes it. Says the battery is lasting a long time, many times being used and still strong. It is small and light weight, so at first it seemed "dinky" but it does a very nice job of keeping his beard at that "day-old" look that I like for him. I have a drawer with three of these that don't work. They were each great when first bought and used, but the third or fourth time it was switched on there was nothing. I changed the battery – nothing. I tried reversing the polarity of the battery installation – nothing. I tried a third battery properly installed – nothing. I have had very short hair for probably 20 years now. There's only so many options you have when your hair decides it doesn't want to grow anymore. As far as I'm concerned, I had two options. I could let it bother me and spend all kinds of money and effort trying to get my hair back in one way or another OR I could go for the military buzz and keep it short. I chose the latter and it's worked out well for me. Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, I would have my head buzzed every 10 – 14 days because I like to keep it as short as possible. Even when my hair is long (14 – 28 days without being buzzed), it's not very long at all. It's manageable and able to be easily buzzed. I have a friend who works for SportClips and before the world shut down, I would give her my business every two weeks. She would keep my head buzzed and I would contribute to her career but since that option is currently unavailable, I decided ManGroomer might be a great alternative for me. I thought of ManGroomer because I purchased "THE BACKGROOMER™" awhile back and it works just fine. Unlike the Backgroomer, my experience with the ULTIMATE PRO Self-Haircut Kit was not a good one. The clipper did not cut properly. I used several of the guards, I tried cutting without a guard and I even tried plugging in as opposed to cutting on the battery power thinking I would get more power, but the results were the same in each attempt – painful and ineffective. The clippers pulled my hair as opposed to cutting in all of my attempts. Thankfully, I have a proper set of Wahl brand hair clippers in my closet that I was able to use to shave my head without any issues after the ManGroomer Self-Cutting Kit failed me. The packaging was fantastic. The timeliness of delivery was optimal. When I emailed the company for a return and refund request, they literally returned my email and gave me a refund within minutes. It couldn't have been longer than 10 minutes. I was incredibly impressed by the response. Not only did they issue me a refund but the team encouraged me to try a couple of more times with their product. All aspects other than the actual product itself were flawless on ManGroomer's part. For this reason, I will continue to buy products from ManGroomer because customer service goes a long way with me along with the fact that I bought another one of their products that I've had zero issues with. I'm chalking this up as simply something that didn't work for me. It may work for someone else and despite my negative experience with this particular line of ManGroomer's product, I am not discouraged by the brand and I look forward to using more of their products in the future.J.r. Yes, it works and is a better solution for my back hair than anything else I ever tried (other than having someone else shave my back for me). However, even with the mangroomer, shaving your back is still not the easier thing in the world. I recommend this model over the slightly less expensive one because without the extra foil head I would not have been able to get a close enough shave. Despite being the best product on the market, I'm only giving 4 stars because it appeared to be cheaply made. Used it for the first time today and one of the red lock buttons fell off which wasn't a big deal since I was able to pop it back on, but still shouldn't have happened. Its made in CHINA, so this is expected. If Wahl came out with a similar product made in the America, I would gladly buy it instead even if it was more money.Kevin

I have purchased 2 Mangroomers and after the first I was convinced I was a lifetime customer until this last purchase. The blades no longer cut through my back hair and seem to not be made as quality as they used to be. My first model didn't have a problem going through my forest of hair but now even with the power boost all it does is tug and rip hair out. The overall quality just seems to be downgraded after making such a quality product and gaining good reviews and supporters. I'm highly disappointed that such a good product can't even do the one thing it claims to do, man groom. I really like the color of this groomer and like the little bag that zips up that can carry all the attachments. I also like that it is rechargeable and doesn't eat up batteries. The problem is that it doesn't get a very close shave. Some of the attachment heads are just useless to me. The foil shaver didn't work at all. The adjustable length guide was just a piece of junk that didn't work and I ended up removing it. It comes with a little detail trimmer and a battery. It didn't work at all. I thought maybe it was just a bad battery and replaced it with one brand new from a package that I had at home. It still didn't work. I just accepted the fact that I would not be using the detail trimmer as it appears to be broken straight out of the box. It states that you can use it wet or dry but I have only used it on dry skin and hair. It is convenient and easy to carry along with you while traveling. I just wish that it gave me a closer shave and the attachments worked better with the groomer.Karla99

I used to have the old series of this trimmer that works with battery for more than 3 years before it quit. I bought this one based on my previous experience.. I'm definitely not the blessed ppl with hair. I have just enough as normal Asian ladies 😁 I only use this trimmer to trim my bikini area and armpit. I would say I'm little bit surprised how this upgraded version not really work better than my old trimmer. I really honestly surprised I have to take off the safety trim guide to make it work. I never had to do that with my old Remington bikini trimmer. I would say, if you wish to trim your body hair, this is not the one you want. You will get disappointed. This is a really nice set. It comes with every adaptor you could need, it also has an adjustable clipper blade that is three different lengths on one piece. And honestlyI think that is my favorite part or is it that this thing is WATERPROOF!?! WHAT??? Yes, you can take this thing in the shower!! I seriously love that. It's also really quiet compared to others I've used before and that is really important. It comes with a cute little zipper bag to hold all of your accessories in and it runs on a rechargeable battery. You just plug it into the wall to recharge when it gets low. Overall, I genuinely love this trimmer. It's super cute, I love the color and it came with a bonus. I don't think you could ask for much more. Great product!!!
