I got the EOS Shave Cream after reading and watching a couple of reviews and, at first, I was pleasantly surprised. The fragrance is good and the texture really makes the shaving process easier. It's worth saying that my skin did feel moisturized after. HOWEVER, and yes, it's a capital "however", a couple of hours later, my armpits and legs started itching. I thought that maybe I just didn't rinse it off properly, so I went back to the shower to get rid of potential residues. That was not the issue though. The next 2 or 3 days were a itching nightmare, something I've just experienced waaaay back when I was a teen and didn't know what I was doing by dry shaving my legs. Thankfully it wasn't expensive, cause I'm staying away from it for good.ananda.a

This is exactly what it says, a “non-foaming shave cream” so in other words, a shaving lotion. It does glide on smoothly, smells sweet it lathers up my skin nicely. However, it’s not foamy like I would prefer (which the bottle clearly states it’s not), but I had been wanting to try out this product for a while so I had to give it a go. I have to say that it definitely works better when used in the shower as it is easier to rinse off. If you use the cream dry, it’s a tad difficult to rinse off completely; especially from your fingers. Not only that, but it’s also harder to rinse off the leftover cream from the razor, which I didn’t like. I did have to use a lot more product to get a good shave. This product is just ok. So this used to be my go-to shaving cream for years but in the last year or so i decided to try out cheaper shaving creams (not that this is that expensive) Every time after shaving my skin was so irritated. finally I decided to return to this & I’ve decided i’m never going back. All irritation gone. This product isn’t like a normal foaming shaving cream. it’s a a true cream, like a lotion. You may be tempted to use a lot because of this but you don’t need a lot, really it’s best to use less of this. It leaves my skin super soft, smooth, & moisturized. The scent is very light but good. I love the packaging, it just feels & looks better than a can to me. My only slight complaint is the pump is very slow to come back up, but it’s not a huge issue for me as it reminds me not to overuse.Ben

The menthol and eucalyptus smell fantastic WARNING if you are allergic to eucalyptus then you should stay away The witch hazel in it soothes any small nicks you might get in your shave. Some shaving creams tend to make your or, at least, my face feel somewhat greasy or oily later in the day but a postshave application of Proraso completely eliminates that aftereffect, leaving your face smooth but not oily or greasy. Having discovered it, I go through gallons of this stuff. This is an absolutely great after shave lotion. It has a crisp masculine smell and really tones up the skin after a good wet shave. Buying a massive 400ml bottle like the one I have lasts for about 18 months of regular use. It is also only about a third of the cost of buying it in a small 100ml bottle. Less waste of materials and more bang for your buck as they say. This is the best after shave I have ever used. I would also rate the Proraso green shaving cream as the best cream on the market, and pretty inexpensive too. If you dont believe me, get some lotion and while you are about it why not treat yourself to a 150ml tube of Proraso green shaving cream. Both products are refreshing and masculineAnonymous

I am very hesitant to purchase products that I havent been able to sample but I took a chance on this product and I am so happy with the outcome. It has a typical eucalyptus sent that has aromatherapeutic qualities, is not too strong, and does not linger. The sensation when splashed on the skin is not an immediate burn but comes on gently and resembles a icy hot type of feel but very pleasant and relaxing. It leaves my skin feeling soft and clean and does not have an oily residue. I have somewhat sensitive skin on my neck and it never causes me to have any breakouts. I am in the military and shave every day and I use this product every day, I couldnt be more happy with the results. At 14 I would easily pay twice the priceAlso.. My shaving regime includes Proraso Pre Shave which I rub into my face and leave for at least 5 minutes. I then shower and let hot water wash over my face for 2 or 3 minutes. On exiting the shower I apply neat Proraso Shaving Cream (Shea Butter & Sandalwood) or Cremo Original Shave Cream by hand onto my wet face. I put a little water onto my hands and rub the residue of the shaving cream on my hands into a lather which I rub over the neat shaving cream already on my face. I then shave using an adjustable safety razor which I have set to 4 on a scale of 1 – 6. I have been shaving for more years than I care to remember and this is the closest, smoothest, rash free shave I have ever had. I'm sure there are many other shaving regimes that work just as well but I've found this is the one that works for me!brian342684

PRORASO is the favorite Italian's barber's pre-shave cream through tree generations. I am 45 and Italian and I can attest how this is SO true lol The "green" normal skin variation smells like old man for me. This "white" sensitive is much much better. It works really well. It not only prepares the skin for shaving, but gives it some moisture and softens the facial hair. Scent is mild (translates green tea and oat). I was so happy few years ago i was finally able to find this in the US! That Christmas I gifted 3 sets with the whole line to my men relatives. Note: this is not a soapy product. I have only recently returned to DE safety razor shaving after many years of cartridge razors. I have not used pre shave creams before so have nothing to compare it with. Barbasol is like the go-to of go-tos for hair removal. When shaving, it is IMPERATIVE to have a good shaving cream. Barbasol, comes out thick, foamy, and easily spreadable. It has a generous and easily applicable formula, and it really makes those fickle hairs stand right up. Very easy to shave with, and comes off instantly with water, so its practically mess proof. It actually has several cleaning purposes. Great for removing grease stains, and polishing countertop surfaces.emily.p

My husband and son were big Noxema Medicated shave cream fans for years. They stopped making it so I had to find a replacement. Thus far, for the money it's not a bad cream. It is moisturizing, but not medicated which is what they like. For now, I will keep buying in hopes that they will make a medicated shave cream that is also moisturizing.Christina

I believe some people's skin on their legs just don't want the abrasion. It's thick and foamy, and my husband's go-to shaving cream. It has a very faint smell that doesn't linger. I have VERY sensitive skin and I use razors with lotion in the cartridges, so you don’t need shave gel and didn’t use any for quite a while. But, I started getting tiny red bumps on my legs (not on top, but they looked like they were under the skin) so I decided I needed to protect my skin more and picked up this shave gel from Walgreens. The bumps went away. Now, I always use shave gel when I shave, no matter how good my cartridges are. I prefer the Fur shave cream, but I still use this occasionally because it’s drastically cheaper. I really like the gel formula and prefer it to the drugstore creams. It’s very moisturizing and the Sensitive skin version has aloe, olive butter and vitamin E to reduce irritation. This Skintimate Sensitive Shave Gel has been a staple in my shaving routine since I was a teen! I love that it doesn't irritate my skin… even in the most sensitive of areas. It also gives a nice slip to the skin that essentially eliminates any chance of cuts while shaving. You can literally use this from head to toe. Neutrogena Men Sensitive Skin Shave Cream works excellent. It’s a non-foaming/non-lathering cream that the user applies to the area being shaved and shaves away. It rinses clean, doesn’t clog the razor, and doesn’t make the edge of the razor hover so high above the skin that the user must choose between a close or irritation-free shave (though one _can_ experience irritation with enough effort and a can-do spirit…). The non-foaming/non-lathering means one can’t use it as a moisture trap the way one might with soaps or creams that require whipping from a brush, but one also doesn’t chase down the right amount of tallow or glycerine if hard water is a concern. It’s also much quicker to apply and wash off and that’s great. It’s awesome, works _much_ better and faster than the lather I was whipping from bar soap, and is simply handy. This shaving cream is very concentrated and you only need a small amount to shave with.. So it is not as expensive as it seems. It lasts a very long time.. It also gives me the smoothest shave and makes my skin feel like it just had a skin treatment.. It is like shaving cream and skin lotion combined! And it smells wonderful.. I had been absolutely dying to try a silky, moisturizing shaving oil. While I had always been a shaving cream girl [like many people], they consistently left me unsatisfied. I figured this one from Tree Hut would be the perfect place to start. The price is very reasonable, the reviews are excellent, & I love gel-oil textures. I went into Ulta, & sampled each scent, before deciding on Coconut Lime. It has a very delicious, sweet, tropical vibe. I also picked up their Hair Minimizing Body Butter in the same scent. I was very happy with my purchases, & beyond excited to try them. Upon using the shaving oil for the first time, I noticed the consistency was much thinner than I expected it to be [definitely much thinner than it seemed when I applied it to the back on my hand in the store]. It didn't "grip" my skin very well, lending to it feeling like I wasn't going to achieve a super close shave. While I always turn the shower off for my shaving time, I found even the dampness of my skin was enough to make it feel incredibly thin/watery. Basically, the viscosity of the oil just wasn't as rich + silky as I'd hoped. This was 100% NOT what I was expecting from a shaving oil with a "gel-oil" consistency. I will say, this is still a perfectly fine product. It does what it says, & it does so better than shaving creams. It isn't exactly what I'm looking for, but it does indeed provide a close, razor-burn/bump-free shave. I also really appreciate the fact that I can speed-shave, & I don't have to worry about getting any little nicks/cuts [which I used to give myself in spades]. The clear nature of this product means you can easily miss a spot [especially when it comes to larger areas, such as your legs], but that's an easy fix post-shower. It also leaves my skin feeling soft, & decently moisturized-not "I can skip body lotion/cream" moisturized, but absolutely not dry. The thinner/more runny consistency means it's super quick to rinse off, so you don't have to worry about taking the time to scrub away a thick, oily residue. Just be sure to have your desired shaving area closer to dry than wet. I know the bottle states it can be used wet, or dry. I do agree with this. However, I find it works best when your skin is leaning closer to the dry side. When your skin is too wet, the oil simply gets lost to the water. Overall, I completely understand the multitude of 5 star reviews. This is an especially amazing product for someone who is always in a rush [me to a T], who wants a quick, easy, & effective shave. It would be a 5 star product for me as well, if only it was a bit thicker + richer [or honestly just more of a true gel-oil consistency]. I'm nearing the half-way point of my first bottle, & I do believe I am going to be repurchasing. I will have this one on hand for when I need a super quick + easy shave that I can rinse away in seconds, & hopefully another shaving oil for when I want a more nourishing + luxurious experience. I didn't buy this for myself, so I didn't see how much it was until I was going to order more but I think I'd pay that. I DO like it. It's not DRYING but I don't think it's overly moisturizing or anything. Doesn't make the shower super slick like pure coconut oil. Haha. But my only issue is that it's fairly difficult to see where I have already shaved and where I haven't. That only becomes a huge issue on my inner thighs – where I would normally get razor burn. I don't want to go over the skin more times (without – in this case – this shaving oil) than I have to! If it had some sort of tint or color to it, it would be 100% perfect. I never write reviews – this is my first. I shave head and face. I have tried many other products. None worked nearly as well as this product. I use and recommend using a shaving brush to apply this product. It makes for a close and comfortable shave. In my opinion, I use less strokes, saving time. I've always had sensitive skin & would get neck-rashes for a day or two after shaving, It was horrible if I had to wear a high collar shirt as it would chaff my neck something awful. I used to use regular shaving foam & then a "sensitive skin" after shave balm but it only helped a little bit. Electric razors were even worse. A few years ago I tried this stuff & it made a world of difference! I use it in conjunction with a five blade wet razor & shave butter, The shave butter & the caffeinated after shave saved my neck, literally. Now after I shave I only get a slight skin sensitivity, I can even wear a shirt & tie the same day as I shave without too much discomfort, before I used this it was very uncomfortable to even wear a polo shirt with a collar. I've used Gillette products forever and have always been pleased. This new shave gel continues to raise the bar for the industry leader. The gel itself goes on easy, lathers very well, and holds in place even on the wettest skin. I shave in the shower and cheaper gels often slide, but not this gel from Gilette. I also found the cap-free design awesome. It's my favorite part. A quarter turn opens the cannister, and a reverse quarter turn puts it back in storage mode. It's super easy to use and keeps the product cleaner between uses. The innovation is only half the story. My skin is extremely sensitive and a fight razor burn and bleeding on my neck despite only shaving twice per week. Two uses of this Gilette gel and my skin is back to being healthy and smooth! Thank God for this highly moisturizing, natural alternative to shaving cream! : Seriously, THE BEST!!! I tried everything on the market for years… Even Aveenos sensitive skin product. Tried different razor brands too… Well, when I first found this I was still paying off student loans so I didnt buy it asap. I had been looking and looking for something moisturizing to the skin on my legs not make it dryER – and couldnt afford straight up almond oil, help avoid cuts, and easily help glide the razor in the shower. This has a lotion texture and look, but waaay better! The "cool mint" my favorite fragrance is relaxing and soothing. What a difference it has made in my life!! And on my skin! Aaah, thank God. Its been years since Ive had cuts or TMI, sorry ingrown bruise-like things attempting to grow out of my leg… Aaah! Kiss My Face Moisture Shave is even great for men! I got my older brother started on it whose concept of personal hygiene is a shower with a standard bar of soap. Yay! Success!!Cinders

I use the mint shaving cream on my legs and I really like it. I like the clean fragrance, the soft texture. It's not too different from other natural shaving creams in terms of performance but I do appreciate not smelling like a mango. I've bought it several times and I'll certainly keep using it.Steinbaklava

Wait, what? How long has this been available in Australia? I used this creamy goodness for several years while living abroad, and was disappointed to learn it wasn't stocked here. Only difference between it and Proraso is the price. This just made my day.Dagabix

I spent a couple years looking for a shave cream. My requirements seemed simple to me: not tested on animals, and completely fragrance free. That turned out to be a lot harder to find than I thought it would be. Luckily PC came through, and I've been using this stuff for about 2 1/2 years. It's so thick and moisturizing and leaves behind a soothing residue. It's protective enough to keep me from nicking my ankles and knees with my safety razor. Love it and wouldn't know what to replace it with. Please never discontinue this product!!!Molly

This is the first review I've written for anything. I was looking for a fragrance free shave cream, mostly because the fragrance that is added to most men's shave cream is overpowering and somewhat nauseating. I stumbled on PC and little did I know that the added fragrance in all the shave creams I've used was causing my skin to be irritated. I thought I just had sensitive skin. Now my skin does not feel irritated or dry after shaving – it actually feels moisturized, healed, and without the need to slather on a really heavy moisturizer post-shave (and the shave I get is still super close). Bought the full size after enjoying a trial a while ago but I believe it may have been reformulated? This leaves a really nasty squeaky/stripped feeling when rinsed off the fingertips which I've never experienced from other products. It almost feels like all the moisture has been taken off my hands! I tried shaving with a single blade safety razor and the razor drags really bad. This product is labeled for "superior razor glide" but provides anything but a glide when shaving. I tried shaving with a multi-blade razor as well and had the same result. The product is too thick and gums up your razor so you have to run more water to wash the razor. The only reason that this doesn't receive a 1-star rating from me is because it delivers on the ultra-moisturizing claim. My skin is not dry, like every other "moisturizing" shave cream on the market, when I'm done shaving. Everything considered, this is essentially a lotion labeled as a shaving product. Apply a small amount to your fingers and rub together. You'll notice it disappears into your skin. Buy a lotion for half the price if this product works for you. This product is way overpriced and misleads the consumer.Gandalf

This is a great product. I tried a shave butter that is about three times more, and the shaving experience was the same. However, this product has mango and smells amazing. My son has started using it and my wife loves it. If you haven't tried shave butter and use shaving cream or soap as I used to, you should really try this. It is different, and for me, it is much better than shaving cream. This has a lot of good natural oils which leave your skin soft after the shave. It is a new favorite. One think about using it. If you take a long time to shave, it may dry out. If you want to make another pass, just rewet your, face and it is good as new for a second or third pass. If this product wasn't available, I would still use another shave butter before going back to a cream. However, this is really good on the face and fun to use. I tried this shave butter with a Mach 3, and a safety razor with Dorco, Derby, Astra and Van Der Hagen blades. All were great with it except Dorco, which was definitely the blade.claim123

This is my husbands and he swears by it. He has to shave often due to being in the military and he experiences breaks out due to it. When he shaves with he has minimal break outs.
