Don't get me wrong. I love Rain-X products. With that said, I've been having fits trying to find a good cleaner/protectant for my shower glass doors. I occasionally use the window protectant in the spray bottle. However, I still have hard spots (and probably etching). Was hoping this would help with those. It didn't. This is the second paste that didn't get the job done (also tried the diamond one to no avail). They're all messy and require a significant amount of work to utilize as you put it on and then have to rinse it off. I'm going to stay away from them moving forward….just not worth it.William

I rented my house out for a year and when I returned, I faced this problem. I have a double set of glass doors in my shower and I have tried everything you can think of to clean off the hard water stains-vinegar, various other cleaning products, you name it and I tried it. This is the only cleaner that has successfully removed deep stains in my shower grout. The bleachy cleaners did not work and they stunk up my bathroom (and my towels). The steamer required a lot sweat, left me with a basket full of soggy towels, and still couldnt wet get the stubborn stains out. Then I stumbled upon Wet and Forget on a YouTube of all places. Functionally this product works very well. We are on the second bottle. Their web site implies a long hose allowing one to keep the container on the floor while spraying but that is not the reality as you need to hold the container in one hand while spraying. If the sprayer hung down it dripped the solution on the floor after using.
The second container now has an on/off valve in the cap that the first container did not have. Is it a safety feature or to prevent dripping? With the on/off valve added, a pause is needed after each spray to allow the solution to fill the sprayer to get a full spray. If the spray is pulled too fast, only a small amount of solution is sprayed taking twice as long to cover an area. To get a full spray you squeeze, pause, squeeze, pause. Did the company really test the added on/off valve as it appears to be restricting the flow to the sprayer. Fortunately I had the first container and switched the spray/hose assembly to the new container to solve the need to pause between sprays.
Sure hope the company can fix the new spray issue being experienced and solved by using the old spray assembly.
A real product improvement would be to have a place to store the spray assembly between applications.Carroll Dudley

The name sounds good. I would probably do my best not to let the rust get so bad that you need something extra. Its very difficult to get rust off toilet bowls and other items. This didn't really seem to help a whole lot although I have other family members who object to that statement and really like this brand. I bought this originally to use in my shower because of some calcium or limescale spots. I was having to deal with little white stains corroding the metal in my shower. My shower head and faucet system are all made of stainless steel. I don't know if it's my water being hard or soft or just full of chemicals but after a week or so, I notice these white spots all over my faucet system and shower head after I have gotten rid of them. I've used cola a few times in the past and elbow grease but since I bought this product, it truly does work magic. With this, all I have to do is spray a good coating on the area where the spots are and let it soak for a few minutes. Sometimes I wander off cleaning for a half hour before coming back to clean up. Usually there is very minimal scrubbing involved in removing these spots after I let it soak in Lime-A-Way. I've even noticed that when I use this product, it seems to take several weeks, instead of several days, for new spots to develop all over again. A few words of caution are that it doesn't work so well on rust. I notice when I use it on rust, it does get some of the red staining away, but once rust has set in, the item really needs replaced. This merely cleans up the stains and doesn't help the rust. Another thing to keep in mind is that this stuff smells bad. It's strong and not recommended for inhalation. I open the shower roof panel and the window in the shower while I turn on the ceiling fan to vent some of the stench out. I've had fits of coughing several times when I wasn't careful not to breathe near this stuff. One final thing to keep in mind is not getting this on your skin and rinsing well. I always take the shower head and spray down everywhere I used this product. I rinse it thoroughly. I am also careful to wear my long gloves when I use this. I have sensitive skin anyway but this is not a product I want on my skin. My guy made the mistake of letting some get on him and he had very minor chemical burns that made him sting and itch for a couple days. Our family doctor told him to just rinse it thoroughly and apply a very light antibiotic cream just in case. I wouldn't let kids use this. It's strong and powerful so be careful and protect your skin and lungs. Otherwise, it works great, just a strong chemical. Performance It eradicates lime and calcium and helps significantly remove rust stains. I've tried many products to remove the soap scum from the marble shower walls. Marble is a soft stone and sensitive to low pH. Many cleaners warn not to put the product on stone. Well. This Rejuvenate really does the job without damaging the marble! I first tried it on a single column of tiles what WERE so scummy that there was no shine to the surface. Hmmm, pretty good. After a second application, WOW. Nearly as shiny as the new tiles at the top of the shower. So I treated the whole shower and vinyl shower curtain. Wonderful results. To speed things up (this layer of scum was pretty thick), I used a net scrubby over the worst areas near the bottom of the shower walls. After thorough rinsing I have applied a protective product to help keep the scum at bay. Looks nearly new again. To be honest, the shower curtain had some dark mold stains that lightened, but were still visible. Probably will need to wash with some bleach to eliminate those stains. I was hoping it would serve more than that purpose though and initially used it to deep clean my shower. I was satisfied with the results but other cleaners I've used for years worked better and were easier to remove build up with. It is just intended for daily upkeep I believe, not necessarily to deep clean your shower. But I don't like the spray itself, when it is sprayed with liquid, it scatters in different directions and gets on objects that I was not going to wash. I occasionally use the window protectant in the spray bottle. However, I still have hard spots (and probably etching). Was hoping this would help with those. It didn't. This is the second paste that didn't get the job done (also tried the diamond one to no avail). They're all messy and require a significant amount of work to utilize as you put it on and then have to rinse it off. I'm going to stay away from them moving forward….just not worth it.William

I have a water softener so I can't attest to rather it cuts through hard water grime easily but it works great on my bathroom sinks, counter tops and tub. It doesn't streak or leave any residue behind. I just spray and wipe to clean and sanitize. It leaves behind a fresh, non chemical smelling scent. I do have a complaint though. The can can get rusty on the bottom and from time to time I get one that doesn't spray correctly and have to return it to the store. Purchased this bathroom cleaner after seeing this YT video. In the video this cleaner had supposedly removed older and stubborn soap scum on glass shower door. I applied this cleaner all over my bathroom shower door and let it sit for 5 minutes. I then reapplied another layer and started scrubbing with my Clorox stick. Scrubbing bubbles did remove newer soap scum but did not remove the older stains. I am happy with how clean my shower ended up looking. I was amazed at how well this product worked on years of soap scum buildup. After spending a fortune over the years on different products and DIY cleaning solutions, I happened to see this in someone's bathroom and decided what the heck I'll give it a try. I sprayed it on one stone wall and used a brush to evenly spread it around. I did not scrub. Came back about 5 minutes later and just rinsed it off, wow, 95 percent of the scum was gone. I could not believe it! A second application, again no scrubbing, took the rest off. Great product. Horrible bottle. The dispenser stops working if you pump out about 2-3 pumps of products. Then you have to wait about 30-45 seconds for it to start working again. Also, the shape of the bottle is hard to grip and its slippery. Packaging is an overall fail. Product does make cleaning bathtubs easy. Spray it on and I let it sit and sure enough, it was easy to clean. And without any bleach which is a great thing. Despite how great it is, I likely wont re-purchase this due to the awkward packaging.tracy

There are four things that really impressed me about this product. First and foremost is how powerful a cleaner it is. Even though we live in the city, our water is very hard. I'm constantly cleaning hard water deposits off of my showerhead, and my previous cleaners never did a very good job. This product wiped out a good 90% of build up on my showerhead with just one application. Second, I love how thick the product is. Whether I put it on a horizontal or vertical surface it stayed where I put it. Other products would drip off my showerhead or my walls, leaving behind streaks and dirty spots. This spray stayed right where I put it! Third, I love how I can change the direction of the spray. Instead of having to turn the bottle, or my wrist, the directional spray cap takes care of this for me. Not only does it cut down on the amount of time it takes to clean, it makes cleaning a lot easier on me physically because I'm not straining. Last but not least, I am in love with the smell of this product. Cleaning small areas like shower enclosures can be very difficult when the harsh chemical smells build up. With other products I've had to spray and then leave mid cleaning just to get some fresh air, and this is with the fan running. With this product I don't have that issue at all. It leaves a nice pleasant scent behind and does not overwhelm you while you're using it. This is definitely going to be a product I will purchase in the future, and will continue to purchase until one, they stop making it, or two, I no longer have a bathroom to clean. Lol

Wow, I’m super impressed by this cleaner! I love Mrs Meyers scents, but I’m super picky about my cleaning supplies. Because I haven’t been able to find my regular shower cleaner for over a year now, I thought I’d give this a try, but really was not expecting much aside from a pleasing scent. This product is really magical. I couldn't believe how quickly the stains, water marks, and soap scum vanished. I first purchased the lemon verbena scent & did not care for it BUT it cleaned my porous tubs & showers (they're the builder grade insert kind) great! I've searched forever for something that would deep clean these surfaces! I have just about tried everything to get a deep clean w/o wearing my arms off in the process. With this I spray all over, use the 'rough' side of the sponge & let it sit while I clean the rest of the bathroom then rinse. I have noticed when I first started using it too that those really suborn stains wouldn't come out. So off the bat I was disappointed until someone had taken a shower, the dirt that was "stuck" gets rinsed away with that running water & the shower gets cleaned as you clean yourself! I've never come across a cleaner like this before. The lavender is AMAZING smelling too!!! I am sensitive to certain smells & lavender is one of them which is why I first purchased the lemon, I am SO in love with the lavender!!! It's a beautiful smell & doesn't make me sneeze either & the smell lingers for a day or so (it makes me actually want to clean the bathrooms daily so they just smell amazing!). This product is labelled as a commercial cleaner and is the best of the cleaners that I have tried for removing soap scum. Just spray it on and let it sit for a bit. Don't let it dry on. Be careful if you sprayed the base of your shower as this chemical is slippery! I then use a non scratch sponge to remove soap scum, hard water stains, calcium deposits, grime, and dirt. Rinse off the remaining solution. Using this often helps keep mold & mildew away. As a commercial cleaning product, it has a very strong odour. Make sure you have your bathroom ventilation fan on, and door open. My wife has asthma and can not cope with this strong chemical. Maybe that is her way of getting out of cleaning the showers…. The label states it can be used on: acrylic, fiberglass, ceramic tiles, porcelain, laminate, and Corian. Not for use on: marble, granite, terrazzo, or natural stone. It works best if you spray it on a dry, small section, then scrub around with a barely damp sponge and let it sit for about 60 seconds and rinse off. You have to rinse it off quickly after scrubbing or it'll dry down and leave a smear. Because of this you need a lot to clean the whole shower.
