Don't get me wrong. I love Rain-X products. With that said, I've been having fits trying to find a good cleaner/protectant for my shower glass doors. I occasionally use the window protectant in the spray bottle. However, I still have hard spots (and probably etching). Was hoping this would help with those. It didn't. This is the second paste that didn't get the job done (also tried the diamond one to no avail). They're all messy and require a significant amount of work to utilize as you put it on and then have to rinse it off. I'm going to stay away from them moving forward….just not worth it.William

I have a double set of glass doors in my shower and I have tried everything you can think of to clean off the hard water stains-vinegar, various other cleaning products, you name it and I tried it. The name sounds good. I would probably do my best not to let the rust get so bad that you need something extra. Its very difficult to get rust off toilet bowls and other items. This didn't really seem to help a whole lot although I have other family members who object to that statement and really like this brand. I bought this originally to use in my shower because of some calcium or limescale spots. I was having to deal with little white stains corroding the metal in my shower. My shower head and faucet system are all made of stainless steel. I don't know if it's my water being hard or soft or just full of chemicals but after a week or so, I notice these white spots all over my faucet system and shower head after I have gotten rid of them. I've used cola a few times in the past and elbow grease but since I bought this product, it truly does work magic. With this, all I have to do is spray a good coating on the area where the spots are and let it soak for a few minutes. Sometimes I wander off cleaning for a half hour before coming back to clean up. Usually there is very minimal scrubbing involved in removing these spots after I let it soak in Lime-A-Way. I've even noticed that when I use this product, it seems to take several weeks, instead of several days, for new spots to develop all over again. A few words of caution are that it doesn't work so well on rust. I notice when I use it on rust, it does get some of the red staining away, but once rust has set in, the item really needs replaced. This merely cleans up the stains and doesn't help the rust. Another thing to keep in mind is that this stuff smells bad. It's strong and not recommended for inhalation. I open the shower roof panel and the window in the shower while I turn on the ceiling fan to vent some of the stench out. I've had fits of coughing several times when I wasn't careful not to breathe near this stuff. One final thing to keep in mind is not getting this on your skin and rinsing well. I always take the shower head and spray down everywhere I used this product. I rinse it thoroughly. I am also careful to wear my long gloves when I use this. I have sensitive skin anyway but this is not a product I want on my skin. My guy made the mistake of letting some get on him and he had very minor chemical burns that made him sting and itch for a couple days. Our family doctor told him to just rinse it thoroughly and apply a very light antibiotic cream just in case. I wouldn't let kids use this. It's strong and powerful so be careful and protect your skin and lungs. Otherwise, it works great, just a strong chemical. Performance It eradicates lime and calcium and helps significantly remove rust stains. Scent The scent is terrible and causes me to cough uncontrollably if I am not careful to ventilate the room well enough. Be careful with kids around this product.clinen11

After spending a fortune over the years on different products and DIY cleaning solutions, I happened to see this in someone's bathroom and decided what the heck I'll give it a try. Great product. Horrible bottle. The dispenser stops working if you pump out about 2-3 pumps of products. Then you have to wait about 30-45 seconds for it to start working again. Also, the shape of the bottle is hard to grip and its slippery. Packaging is an overall fail. Product does make cleaning bathtubs easy. Spray it on and I let it sit and sure enough, it was easy to clean. And without any bleach which is a great thing. There are four things that really impressed me about this product. First and foremost is how powerful a cleaner it is. Even though we live in the city, our water is very hard. I'm constantly cleaning hard water deposits off of my showerhead, and my previous cleaners never did a very good job. This product wiped out a good 90% of build up on my showerhead with just one application. Second, I love how thick the product is. Whether I put it on a horizontal or vertical surface it stayed where I put it. Other products would drip off my showerhead or my walls, leaving behind streaks and dirty spots. This spray stayed right where I put it! Third, I love how I can change the direction of the spray. Instead of having to turn the bottle, or my wrist, the directional spray cap takes care of this for me. Not only does it cut down on the amount of time it takes to clean, it makes cleaning a lot easier on me physically because I'm not straining. Last but not least, I am in love with the smell of this product. Cleaning small areas like shower enclosures can be very difficult when the harsh chemical smells build up. With other products I've had to spray and then leave mid cleaning just to get some fresh air, and this is with the fan running. With this product I don't have that issue at all. It leaves a nice pleasant scent behind and does not overwhelm you while you're using it. I clean homes and business and I have used pretty much every cleaning product I've come across with many mixed results. All the products promise great results and not all of them deliver on said promise. The works line of cleaning products absolutely work wonders on lime, rust stains and nasty build up with little effort after application. I have cleaned some pretty rough bathtubs and sinks that had really bad stains from hard water or rust and after using other products the stains were mostly still there even After using a stiff brush and lots of work. I like that the works only needs to be sprayed on and let sit for a few minutes to dissolve the stains. It literally turns the rock hard build up to a slime that can be wiped or rinsed away. It is a very strong chemical smell, but it's worth using once in a while for when there is build up. I don't use it every time I clean but I use it every now and then to reduce the build up. The works also makes a toilet bowl cleaner that works the same. I have seen toilets and tubs so bad it seemed like there was no hope for ever removing all the stains and after the works they are totally free from the yucky stains. Most cleaning products can't remove hard water and lime scale like the works. The only draw back is the very strong smell and it's not pleasant but I can deal with it because it doesn't need to be used a lot and once every few weeks of use isn't bad. I hate scrubbing stains so this is great for me. Spray it on and leave the room for a few and wipe it away and the stains are gone. O wouldn't recommend standing over the product while it sits because it probably isn't good for the lungs! I don't mind using it but some people can't get past the smell but I think the stuff in it that smells bad is what works so well. You have to pick and choose your battles with cleaning products! **The Works Tub & Shower Cleaner **is one product that I really wanted to work. The manufacturer claims this product 'removes stubborn rust stains; mineral deposits and soap scum in the bathroom'. The 'unique formulation is suppose to work great on showers, tubs, sinks, stainless steel and shower doors.' I agree that The Works can do an adequate job on lightly soiled items. Our tub has always been difficult in removing the ring after bathing. I didn't need a cleanser for a light job. Have so many products that can acheive this. The Works also list a long list of precautions on the back of the label..such as but not limited to not mixing with bleach or other household chemicals. It is bad for your eyes and you must definitely keep out of reach of children. Being that this product did not acheive even mediocre results, I do not recommend. I will not be buying again. I have been cleaning the windows of my vehicles for "a few years", & have learned how to do so professionally. I prefer the glass on my vehicle to be spotless & streak free. I have used everything from a spray bottle of ammonia, to acetone out of the can to get that clear glass. To try this window cleaner from Rain-X, I of course read the directions, to be sure I get it the way they suggest. The instructions are easy: Spray, wipe buff. I will say that I have used Rain-X before, many, many years ago, & have been using their great wiper blades for some time. I wasn't impressed with the beading coverage of Rain-X at the time—Now? Yes, I am quite happy with the results. The windshield still has a "coated look" from inside, but isn't too bad. You are coating the glass with a "protectant". I have some pitch & sap from the pine trees on my windshield, so I sprayed it directly & let it sit a moment, as I went to the side windows. For overspray, I generally spray the cloth first, but have found that glass likes to be sprayed then wiped, which is what I did here. The Rain-X 2in1 did not do anything for the pitch or gunk streaks. It did cover the glass, with the "coating", & not look bad. This is the rainy season here, in WA, so getting a full day before it rains again, can be a challenge. I didn't see if I could cover the windshield with a blanket or such, so just left it alone & hoped for the best. As you can see, the end results are good. I only did one side of the windshield, to give a real time before & after look. You can see the close side beaded with the rain. Not quite a 5 star product in my opinion, but certainly good stuff. I have been doing vehicle cleaning for over 40 years. I used to be knind of a "celebrity" in the neighbourhood for how often and how clean my vehicles were. My brother bought Rain-X back in theearly 80s and applied it to the windshield of his car. It worked great even at speeds just barely above 50 km/hr. This product does a really good job of cleaning the glass but the rain repellant properties are sorely lacking. I have used another spray on cleaner, repellant that is available at Canadian Tire as well and it cleans just as good if not a bit better and the rain repellant is marginally better if at all. I applied the Rain X and ythe next day we had a light rain going to medium hvy a while later. Even at 60 km/hr the rain did not "bad up and roll off the windshield" and the first a next wipes of the wipers left a "haze" on the windshield that while not completely blurring the vision ( it was daylight and I know that haze makes night vision dangerous especially with opposing headlights particularly the after market LEDs. I followed the directions and the window had been clean of any remaining products or bugs etc. before I applied it. I even let it sit for a minute or two after I applied it before buffing it off TWICE and with new clothes each time. The actual Rain X that comes in a smaller bottle works better but I was hoping to save couple steps by using this ( and the other product). By the ay the wiper blades were raised off the window and cleaned before the product was applied and for an hour after. I am hoping that the Rain-X anti fog product works better as I plan on trying that as Fall's changing temperatures leaves condensation on the inside of the windshield at times.Zeek

I was very impressed with this product and I would highly recommend it to my family and friends I have used Rain-X products in the past but this one is outstanding. I applied the product once to clean the windshield and then apply the another time to get a second coat of products. I live in northern Utah area and we have had massive rain and snow storms the past week and this product has worked amazing. My only complaint would be that I wish you could use it on the internal Windows as well. It states on the can that you can only use it on external Windows only. And I understand why obviously you don't need to repel water on your inside windows and if you do you've got bigger problems. This product does not stink or have any sort of foul smell which is a plus. It's unbelievable how good it repels water off your windshield I've been in massive massive rainstorms this week and I literally don't even have to use my wiper blades on the highway. I'm going to keep it real. I don't clean my shower every week. It probably gets scrubbed every three or four weeks and by the time I clean it, it's in desperate need. I spray my tub and shower, let it soak ten minutes, and come back to wipe all the soap scum away. I don't need to scrub my tub. The spray does my dirty work. One of my favorite things about this spray, other than it working well, is the smell. My kids don't run away wanting a gas mask when this has been sprayed. We use the lavender one only, but my husband didn't & never does trust natural cleaners until we got this! We'd tried sooo many products as when we moved into our home our shower was just gross! My husband works in a rock quarry, and we have 6 kids…. no matter how hard I scrubbed, this didn't get everything cleaned. I was hoping it would serve more than that purpose though and initially used it to deep clean my shower. I was satisfied with the results but other cleaners I've used for years worked better and were easier to remove build up with. It is just intended for daily upkeep I believe, not necessarily to deep clean your shower. After I deep cleaned my shower though, and used this daily for about a week after each shower, my shower was still looking great. I was very pleased with the results and was able to utilize this spray for an additional week before needing to deep clean again. It bought me a whole extra week without having to deep clean (we have very hard water here) and gave me a little free time that I would otherwise have spent cleaning.

I bought this product as a daily cleaner without wipe it off. It did not work as expected, it leaves awful streak on my glass shower and it is very noticeable. I do not know what to do to get a better result with this product. Any advise? I tried using it as directed in the instructions, but the applicator does not produce a mist, but a stream.

This keeps our shower doors so clean. I really recommend it. Unfortunately, after a long time out of stock, it came back into our store with a regular nozzle instead of the wide spray nozzle. I've tried many products to remove the soap scum from the marble shower walls. Marble is a soft stone and sensitive to low pH. Many cleaners warn not to put the product on stone. Well. This Rejuvenate really does the job without damaging the marble! I first tried it on a single column of tiles what WERE so scummy that there was no shine to the surface. Hmmm, pretty good. After a second application, WOW. Nearly as shiny as the new tiles at the top of the shower. So I treated the whole shower and vinyl shower curtain. Wonderful results. To speed things up (this layer of scum was pretty thick), I used a net scrubby over the worst areas near the bottom of the shower walls. After thorough rinsing I have applied a protective product to help keep the scum at bay. Looks nearly new again. To be honest, the shower curtain had some dark mold stains that lightened, but were still visible. Probably will need to wash with some bleach to eliminate those stains. Pleasantly scented enzyme cleaner that works. I tried it all and this is the best cleaner on showers and glass doors with buildup. Shower cleaning now takes minutes. I spent an hour on shower doors before, relentlessly scrubbing. The vinegar solution was smelly and not effective. I have my own cleaning business and need products that work and save time. If you shower glass is streaking after using then you are not spraying enough on the glass. We used Dulles Glass for shower doors and several tailor-cut pieces of glass for window boxes. Perfect cuts, quick service, pricey, but you get what you pay for and it's great. Now, about that expensive ClearShield After Care product ($40/500 ml). It's pricey and there's a particular scare tactic that if you use ANYTHING ELSE on your expensive, ClearShield-coated shower doors, you void whatever warranty you might have had on them. To me, the cleaning product isn't all that. Leave it on for 5 seconds or 5 minutes (as reco'd in its instructions) there is still an icky film on your glass, especially toward the bottom. Also, there's no indication of whether this very product is responsible for degrading the silicon around the bottom edges and/or causing one of the installed screws to rust. DullesGlass replaced that bracket but they were careful to give me stern warning to not use ANYTHING ELSE but this expensive product on the ClearShield doors. Use it or not, but factor in a $40 cleaning product every 3 months or so when you consider ClearShield doors. Or use Softscrub, or vinegar and baking soda like the little people.Mitch
