This is my second time buying this glycolic acid peel from Skin Obsession. I've never had any issues or problems using it. I use it every 2-3 weeks and leave the acid on for 5 minutes (timed) and wash off with baking soda mixed with cool water. Then I apply a thick layer of face lotion. The next day my skin feels very smooth. I find that it helps active acne dry up and fades old acne red spots. My skin complexion has definitely improved since I started using this product. Also, the free microdermabrasion crystals they throw in with the purchase are amazing! Obviously this peel isn't going to be as good as one you'd get from a professional – they put a numbing agent in the peel so its not painful and can be left on longer. You're not going to experience actually peeling of your skin from this product. But around here a chemical peel is about $300 so I'm going to stick with this cheaper option!msmillie-99

Immediately after use my skin felt more firm and my complexion was actually glowing. That is not an exaggeration. My skin was glowing. And now I don’t think I will ever be without this peel. It does tingle at first but the tingling subsides. And I actually enjoy the tingle because to me, that means it’s working. If you have any type of open blemishes, I imagine that would sting. but honestly you will not regret buying it. These are my holy grail product. I used to have acne throughout my twenties and early thirties and quite a bit of scarring. My aesthetician recommended these (ultra gentle ones first). When you first use them, with regular use, you really do visibly see improvement in the texture. You need your skin to build up to them so try ultra gentle first. Over time, breakouts reduce and scars will fade, and a brighter more even complexion emerges. I have purchased these many times and love that through Sephora you get a few extra as bonus, as per pad they are something like $3-4 each. I use after washing face or showering and skip toner due to the neutralizer step, which balances the ph of the skin. Proceed with serum (nothing too active when I use these) and moisturizer. I’ve been using this about 2 years and because it comes in packets, I always share with others! This is by far one my favorite products I have ever purchased. I received this product complimentary for reviewing purposes. I’m not a stranger to chemical exfoliation; AHA, BHA, and retinol are regular parts of my skincare regimen. I also typically use a higher percentage AHA treatment once every week or so. All of this is say: I thought this would like one of those. I was wrong. The application itself is not very beginner-friendly, as the product has a very intense alcohol scent. I found myself coughing each time I inhaled during application. It’s also very uncomfortable, but luckily that feeling subsides after the first minute or so. Immediately afterwards, my skin feels tighter and drier (and my skin is already fairly dry.) The days following, my skin peels and flakes off, not unlike the first time I tried retinol. However, about six days after the peel, my skin is noticeably nicer. The texture smooths out considerably and my forehead looks almost glassy. It’s quite nice. Of course, I stop all other exfoliation three days before and after, stay hydrated and moisturized, and wear sunscreen during the daylight hours. I’m very pleased with this peel, but I’m not sure if I would have stuck with it if I wasn’t already used to chemical exfoliation; the scent, the discomfort, and the peeling for days afterwards could deter someone less experienced.jessica.c

I try to exfoliate twice a week if I am using a regular scrub but with Philosophy’s Microdelivery Peel Set, I am set for two weeks straight. It’s literally facial-at-home in a set. It comes in two containers. The Vitamin C crystals are quite small and packed in an oily paste like concentrate. You have to scoop them out according to your need and massage in circular motions on your face for about 3 minutes. You can go as hard or as gentle as you want. This is a plus point for people with sensitive skin. After that, you have to apply the Glycolic/Salicyclic Gel on the crystal. It will form a very thin layer of foam and your face will feel warm. I like to leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse it off with water. No words will ever be enough to describe the result. My face becomes brighter withing minutes. If you want to do an at-home facial? You need this product. You mix the two it forms this foamy, but gritty consistency. You don’t need to mix much for your entire face, so don’t waste it! I use a shot glass and a spatula from another product to mix it together, then apply it to your face immediately… doing circular motions for a couple minutes to really exfoliate. I recieved this product a few weeks back and have used it weekly. It is very powerful. It makes my skin feel so nice. Be careful ot to get near the eye area. I mistakenly got some under my left eye and did not remove it because I have used other mask and did not have any issues. Skin type: In between oily and normal (naturally), normal when consistently using retionid gels (Tretinoin gel, Adapalene gel) My brown skin is prone to dyspigmentation from inflammation, acne, injury and sunlight exposure. It’s not prone to hyperpigmentation from products tho (except in very rare cases) It also sometimes gets duller looking than usual in the winter. This stuff is a dream. Greatest ADJUNCTIVE OTC product I’ve ever used for lightening darkened skin, instantly giving me a brighter complexion, making my warm/golden undertones pop (more vivid color) and maintaining the flawless even tone I was chasing. Using this all over my face along with hydroquinone (2%-4%) cream as a spot treatment this will quickly fade the darkened spots/sections. If you use other chemical (acid, enzyme) exfoliants and/or strong retinoids (tret, taz, adapalene) you’ll probably get velvety skin that’s smoother and softer the touch. It also gets more supple and bouncy even though I’m still in my 20s and thus have a lot of bounce & smoothness to my skin already. I have been using a stabilized, ph <3, properly packaged ascorbic acid serum for years. It’s my holy grail for brightening but since my skin is resilient I can put it on after using this. These two products are the DREAM TEAM for giving my face the radiance I’ve always wanted I use this on my face for up to 20 minutes (my own dermatologist said this was fine for me considering how my skin reacts to stronger in office chemical peels) and for 7-10 minutes on my neck. So I'm 34 and have had adult acne for 10 years. A few months ago I finally discovered my perfect routine and I thought I'd share it with anyone who might resonate. It helps prevent damage by harsh tap water. 3)Moisturise with The Ordinary pure Rosehip oil. *3 times a week (instead of Rosehip Oil ) use The Ordinary Mandelic Acid+HA (Moisturises while gently exfoliating over time). Once every 2 weeks: The Ordinary AHA/BHA peeling mask for 10mins. I ordered my second bottle of this mask back in May, and just finished the bottle now. I've been using this as a weekly exfoliating mask, but it is not my favorite one I have ever used. It is at a pretty good price point – and I first bought this as a way to start exfoliating at home instead of just when I had the time for a facial (it was recommended to me by a friend with similar skin: sensitive, with rosacea). After finishing my first bottle; I then tried the Sunday Riley good genes (used as a rinse off 10-min mask) and PTR pumpkin enzyme exfoliating mask. I then bought this again to compare and contrast. As far as price; it is obviously the cheapest and a great option for someone on a budget. As far as how well it works; I first got this because at the time I had just cleared up a few months worth of hormonal acne (I am not acne prone, this was my first bout with acne and I did not know how to care for it, so I was left with quite a bit of PIH). I read about how the use of exfoliating can be helpful for healing PIH. In all honesty, out of the three exfoliant masks I've used, this has faded my acne scars the most – but – it triggers my rosacea – whereas the SR and PTR I could use on my whole face without causing my rosacea to go nuts. So, I started only using this on my chin and jaw, but it would still manage to affect the rosacea patches on my cheeks and part of my neck. Since I have faded my acne scars to the point that I want to stop using an 'intense' mask 1-2x's a week, I don't have plans to purchase this again – as it did what I needed it to do. If you want to fade acne scars- I definitely recommend this product (but definitely include the use of sunscreen in the morning) but – if you have rosacea, be wary because every time I used it – I had a reaction. Love this peel. I do it about twice a months. Leaving it on for about 5 minutes at the most. Then neutralize it with a mixture of baking soda and water. Then splash my face with cold water. I try to do this peel at night before bed but if I do it during the day and I make sure to put on my spf 50 if I go out into the sun. I love it. I use to get peels at the doctors office that cost 300$ without insurance for my acne. You clean your face and apply for 1-5 min. During this time you will feel a tingle/burn/sting sensation. I don’t think it’s that bad but I have had done before and my skin is sensitive. To eliminate that a little apply a fan to your face. After the time is up apply a neutralizer. I used baking soda and water mix like suggest in the directions on Amazon. You will feel a heat immediately and stronger sensation for like 30 seconds from the chemical reaction DONT FREAk out. Lol. Leave that for 10 min to fully neutralize it. Im a long time devotee of ASDMs glycolic peels and have been using them faithfully for years. Its always best to start with the lowest percentage and work your way up, to avoid irritation. I have oily/combination skin with fine lines and use the 40% glycolic weekly. It does a great job of imparting a youthful glow and eliminating those pesky fine forehead lines that are beginning to appear as I age. I keep the 25% glycolic around the house and use it occasionally to resurface hands and feet. These glycolic acids are a great product for a value price. This is an effective product. I began to see a slothing after several days. I used a cotton gauze, applied thin layer horizontally across face and then vertically waited approximately 1-2 minutes and rinsed with cold water. I followed with Hydraulic acid. I by no means have the best consistant skin care regimen but I did make sure I used the Hydraulic serum twice a day sometimes I would use an additional night cream with it. Please be careful I did give myself small chemical burns, 1 was where a zit wasn't healed enough apparently and just another small spot on my chin for no apparent reason so I guess just a sensitive area. It didn't hurt just had another ugly spot until healed. So yes this is strong and effective, I like the result of lighter look to my age spot/ unevenness so far and skin is brighter already. This is actually the second bottle of the stuff that I have purchase. That is how much I love the stuff I actually bought a second bottle. When I first got it it took me awhile to use it. I was a bit intimidated at first because of the instructions and I had never done or used any kind of chemical peel before. So fast forward to about two weeks after I get the first bottle. To me sitting at my vanity with a bowl of baking soda and water, a timer, and my bottle of Divine Alpha hydroxy acid skin Rejuvenation therapy. I reread the instructions just to make sure that I don't do anything I shouldn't do and I decide I'm going to test a very small area on the bottom of my jaw. I dab a little bit on and wait two minutes. I'm not feeling any pain so I went one more minute. Then I wipe it off with plain water. I decided to wait about half an hour before I made a decision. About a half an hour later, since I did not have any discomfort, I decided to test a little bit larger of an area. I applied about a 50-cent piece size on my cheek and jaw. I waited 3 minutes and wiped it off with plain water. I did not experience any discomfort or any burning sensation so I decided I would do my whole face and neck. The results were RIDICULOUS! It made my face look softer, cleaner, brighter!I wondered why I was so worried LOL. No seriously the instructions are scary, and I definitely recommend that you read all the instructions twice and follow them closely to make sure you do everything right. Even though it is SUPER EASY, and very fast. Okay so I’ve had Acne for i’d say 5-6 years (teen years) and the main mistake i’ve done is not doing research and picking up random drug store items to treat acne. I’ve done a lot of research this time and am trying this in my new skin care routine. MAJOR TIP: This item has a lot of product, I cut each one into 4 (as its folded into 4s) so the 5 pack will last me 20 days. For my skin care routine this is what im trying: Nighttime: 1. Im also trying the caffeine solution for under eyes (I have hollow undereyes not really bags so if anyone has tips let me know!) This is the holy grail of all the skincare products I've tried and I hope this product never gets discontinued!! If I wanted to be sponsored for one product and one product only, it would be this one 100%!! I have an acne-prone, combo skin type (right now it's fairly dry due to the weather) and this product works wonders!! I not only feel the difference in my skin, I can see the difference. My face feels tighter and was 10x smoother after the first two applications. After using this (alternating with my lactic acid serum) for about two weeks the hyperpigmentation on my cheeks have lightened/looks smaller and I am not as prone to breakouts. Even during my time of the month, my breakouts were super small and minimal, and it went away in a couple days without any spot treatments. I wish I had before and after pictures. This product just balances my skin perfectly and I'd say it's definitely worth the price. It might be a little too "strong" for people with sensitive skin because it did make my face tingle just a little bit (I have mildly sensitive skin) during the first couple of uses, but if you do try it I definitely recommend wearing sunscreen to avoid any sunburns.anglehuh

Hi, I have been using this product for years (but I purchased 60 treatments, not 30)! I love it so much, I get my mother to bring it when she comes to the Netherlands, or ship it to me (since COVID). I used to use the regular strength peel until they came out with this new formula, which I was so excited to try—> with my most recent purchase. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. I used it to maintain professional microdermabrasion results from over 10 years ago as a result of acne scars on my cheeks from when I was a teenager. Now I am using it to battle fine lines and maintain even skin tone and youthful appearance. When I first got the products, I used the peel everyday for a week for a more aggressive “initial” exfoliation, and then reduced gradually to three/two times a week and now biweekly or weekly. I am 36 years old, Caucasian with some sun damage and fine lines around the eye area. I have used this peel at night and also in the daytime, however due to my age and skin, If I am planning on applying or wearing makeup that day, that the product does not mesh well with my other creams and foundations, and emphasizes my eye lines. Now, I apply it in mornings on makeup free days (with sunscreen only) but mostly at nighttime. My skin has improved a lot. Because I get such a large quantity, I usually add 3 or 5 treatments in gifts for friends/family because it is such a high quality product that is useful for all ages and skin types ( I used it in my 20’ and now my 30’s). My sister just recently found some of the samples I had given her literally ages ago (1-2 years), tried it and sent me a text saying how amazing they are and then proceeded to video chat me to show me how nice her skin looked. If I had to choose between two products forever it would be the Dennis Gross peel and a simple moisturizer. This treatment is the most effective skin care product I have ever used. It helped me treat my post acne scars and really even smoothed out lines that were starting to form. I was 23 when I started using it and obviously fine line weren’t the primary concern but I found that it really prevented any lines from forming the way I thought they were going to. There is no question, that this is a pricy product and a lot of the products in skin care are luxury rather than necessity. But I believe this is worth every penny and I was buying this even when I could just barely afford. I am not suggesting everyone does the same but I want to stress how much of a difference this actually makes. You can often get this as sample and you will see a difference from one treatment. I started with the regular and moved on to the extra strength as my skin built tolerance. I have never used this daily as suggested as my skin is sensitive and I don’t feel the need, but this does everything that you would expect 5 other masks to do. Definitely try the trial size before committing to the full size. When I first tried this product I had a pretty intense reaction, it does sting a bit and if you are sensitive it can make you red. I was a little bit skeptical when I got this in my glam bag x this month. After trying it I can report that I absolutely love this peel. It’s extremely gentle yet very effective. It has a very light scent. I applied it and it started working with foaming bubbles and a light tingle. I left it on for 15 minutes and it dried to leave a beautiful gold leaf looking mask. It wiped off with no effort at all with a warm washcloth leaving a gorgeous glow on my skin. The best part about this were the instant results without irritating my skin. My skin can be somewhat sensitive. I love when I get a surprise product that works wonders that I never knew about. I also love that it’s made in the USA. With most products being made in China it’s getting harder to find items made in the states. China doesn’t have as strict policies when it comes to beauty ingredients so the fact that this is made here makes me trust it even more. I’m definitely buying another one when this runs out.shakti.g
Probably one of my favorite “bubbling foaming masks” I have ever tried. I got this one through IPSY and loved it. You do around 8 pumps and spread evenly over the entire face and neck. You have to move quickly as it does begin working immediately. Within seconds your pores will be bubbling with the golden peel mask. To me it’s more of a bubbling oxygen peel than a illuminating peel. The only downside is there are no instructions on the packaging. I had to look it up online. Once the bubbling stops after a few minutes simply rinse off and pat your face dry. I would highly recommend.christopher.v
Dude this thing is like tin man level shiny gold on your face and immediately after dispensing it bubbles all over you face for a minute and then goes back to gold tin man! It really would be a fun party mask with friends! I could tell an immediate difference after the mask too. It felt like it actually exfoliated my skin became smooth and ready for moisture! This is my second time buying this glycolic acid peel from Skin Obsession. I've never had any issues or problems using it. I use it every 2-3 weeks and leave the acid on for 5 minutes (timed) and wash off with baking soda mixed with cool water. Then I apply a thick layer of face lotion. The next day my skin feels very smooth. I find that it helps active acne dry up and fades old acne red spots. My skin complexion has definitely improved since I started using this product. Also, the free microdermabrasion crystals they throw in with the purchase are amazing! Obviously this peel isn't going to be as good as one you'd get from a professional – they put a numbing agent in the peel so its not painful and can be left on longer. You're not going to experience actually peeling of your skin from this product. But around here a chemical peel is about $300 so I'm going to stick with this cheaper option!msmillie-99
I absolutely love this product! I had horrible skin. I had acne, hyper pigmentation, uneven skin tone, textured skin amongst other things. After only one time of applying the glycolic acid peel I saw immediate results. You do need to do do more then one application as it doesn’t last. Always make sure to use a very high SPF and hydrate. I like this product so far! It seems to be slowly helping my back acne. I still use African Black Soap and Cocoa Butter to help boost the speed of fading the dark spots on my back. I have heard great things about this product, so I’m excited to see how it helps my dark spots. The smell isn’t strong, but it does smell a bit like nail polish remover (much fainter though). I am glad there are no perfumes in it though! The customer service was also really great! My first bottle arrived damaged, so Stacked Skincare sent me a new one. I really appreciated that, and it makes me feel comfortable purchasing in the future!J S.
It’s good, not magically transforming like a real TCA peel But also not scary and disruptive like a real TCA peel, have only used three times and my skin does look better but still lots of dark spots going onto summer unfortunately. I am hoping that the peel will keep them at bay throughout summer if I religiously use sunscreen with it. I would recommend to people who want better skin texture who only have slight skin imperfections. For the first time in 4 months I was able to go to sleep COMFORTABLY. I am a return customer! I have used this peel many times. It is much stronger and more effective than the TCA peels from another, much more expensive, company. It is important to use the peel correctly. If you aren't getting great results, I would guess you aren't using it correctly. 1. Stop retinol products 4-7 days prior to use. 2. If you are FP types above 3, prep with HQ for a few weeks first. 3. Use a peel prep to defat (remove all oils) from skin prior to application. You can do this with 90% alcohol. Swipe over face – wait 5 minutes, then apply peel. If you only have 70% – do this twice. This will help to ensure a more even peel. 4. Apply with gauze. Get a square – fold it over on itself twice. Saturate the gauze. Skin should be glistening (wet) but NOT dripping. 5. Wait 5 minutes between layers (never more than 5). 6. Start SLOW. If you haven't done TCA before – make sure you have used other acids before (glycolic, mandelic, etc). Start with one layer. Wait a month. Do two layers. 7. Chemical peels are the "long game" of skin care. You won't solve all of your problems in one peel. This is why you get a very generous bottle for a great price. 8. Do a series – then take a break for a month or so. I have been very happy with this peel. I am almost 50, and I constantly hear, "your skin is amazing." I recently went for a professional facial – and the esthetician couldn't stop commenting that my skin is exceptional.
I was hesitant to try a peel at home, but this is easy to use, and I'm seeing some changes in the hyperpigmentation, melasma, and texture of my skin. I use it about every 7 to 10 days. About 6-7 days after using it, I see a very light flaking that lasts for a few day. The TCA 15 percent is an incredible peel. Struggled with melasmas for the past 2 years. Have used Platinum Skin Care's TCA 13% with disappointing results – no visible effect -no peeling..no improvement on the melasma. So, when I ordered Perfect Image's TCA 15% , I did not have high expectations that it would clear up my dark pigmentation… Boy! was I wrong. After the 1st application, I really noticed the melasma on my forehead and cheeks had lightened. There was mild peeling…which was great, as Platinum Skin Care's TCA had absolutely no peeling…After the 2nd application , one month later…my stubborn melasma –was almost completely gone. Hi, I have been using this product for years (but I purchased 60 treatments, not 30)! I love it so much, I get my mother to bring it when she comes to the Netherlands, or ship it to me (since COVID). I used to use the regular strength peel until they came out with this new formula, which I was so excited to try—> with my most recent purchase. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. I used it to maintain professional microdermabrasion results from over 10 years ago as a result of acne scars on my cheeks from when I was a teenager. Now I am using it to battle fine lines and maintain even skin tone and youthful appearance. When I first got the products, I used the peel everyday for a week for a more aggressive “initial” exfoliation, and then reduced gradually to three/two times a week and now biweekly or weekly. I am 36 years old, Caucasian with some sun damage and fine lines around the eye area. I have used this peel at night and also in the daytime, however due to my age and skin, If I am planning on applying or wearing makeup that day, that the product does not mesh well with my other creams and foundations, and emphasizes my eye lines. Now, I apply it in mornings on makeup free days (with sunscreen only) but mostly at nighttime. My skin has improved a lot. Because I get such a large quantity, I usually add 3 or 5 treatments in gifts for friends/family because it is such a high quality product that is useful for all ages and skin types ( I used it in my 20’ and now my 30’s). My sister just recently found some of the samples I had given her literally ages ago (1-2 years), tried it and sent me a text saying how amazing they are and then proceeded to video chat me to show me how nice her skin looked. This is a must-have! I was so hesitant to purchase it because of the price but it is so worth it. I have very dry acne-prone skin. I have been on Accutane twice and when my skin started to break out again I did not want to have to go on the third time. I decided to do a ton of research and came across Dr Whitney Bowe's skin cycling routine. I already had a perscription for tretinoin but when I first started using it I used way too much and it made my skin very sensitive. I also needed a product for exfoliation night. I wanted to try Paula's choice exfoliant but it is not available through Sephora Canada so I decided to give this a try. I am so glad I did. This is my favorite product in my routine. I notice such a difference every time I use it. It exfoliates without dehydrating my skin which is a miracle considering I live in northern BC with very harsh winters. It somehow removes all the dead skin while leaving my skin literally glowing. It works so well with my tretinoin and moisturzier – I have never had my skin look so good. Because I only use it once or twice a week with the skin cycling routine it actually is not that expensive. This box should last me 6-7 months. I didn't think I would like the individually packaged wipes but I actually love them. So good for traveling to. I have NOTHING bad to say about this product! If I had to choose between two products forever it would be the Dennis Gross peel and a simple moisturizer. This treatment is the most effective skin care product I have ever used. It helped me treat my post acne scars and really even smoothed out lines that were starting to form. I was 23 when I started using it and obviously fine line weren’t the primary concern but I found that it really prevented any lines from forming the way I thought they were going to. There is no question, that this is a pricy product and a lot of the products in skin care are luxury rather than necessity. But I believe this is worth every penny and I was buying this even when I could just barely afford. I am not suggesting everyone does the same but I want to stress how much of a difference this actually makes. You can often get this as sample and you will see a difference from one treatment. I started with the regular and moved on to the extra strength as my skin built tolerance. I have never used this daily as suggested as my skin is sensitive and I don’t feel the need, but this does everything that you would expect 5 other masks to do. Definitely try the trial size before committing to the full size. When I first tried this product I had a pretty intense reaction, it does sting a bit and if you are sensitive it can make you red. You should be cognitive of your skin type and what you are comfortable using but this is really amazing.MKorsh
