Best Skin Regimen For Oily Skin (2024 Update)

I’ve been extremely impressed by these products. I have fair, acne-prone skin that has transitioned from normal/combination to oily as I’ve gone from my mid-20s into my early 30s. Even on my best days, I still battle redness and sensitivity, and after having my first child in June 2020 I’ve been battling cystic, hormonal acne (1-5 bumps at a time, anywhere on my face). I have run the gambit on skincare over the years — prescription, OTC, high-end ($250+ for 1oz of only-so-good product), drugstore, facials, etc — I’ve tried most avenues with mixed results. I’ve been using these products along with their hyaluronic acid and peptide serum for ~4 weeks and it’s exceeded my expectations. Stubborn bumps that have been lingering for weeks on the bridge of my nose, cheek, and jaw have almost completely disappeared. My redness has improved and my pores look smaller because my skin isn’t as oily. I still get new acne, but they’re small and vanish within a couple days — some even overnight! You need a light hand with these products. They are extremely strong (you can smell it!) so I don’t even use a full pump of the spot treatment and I’m very careful to rinse the cleanser off thoroughly. I’ll admit I haven’t used the moisturizer in the set as much since I’m using the other serum, but there’s nothing wrong with it. This might not be for everyone, but if you’re a skincare junky who’s tried everything for their hormonal acne and can show restraint when applying these products, this could be your holy grail.tallgirlbeverly

I was having horrible breakouts, worse than usual and a friend recommended this to me and I was skeptical at first and even worried it'd just become another skincare product I'd never use but that was far from the truth. Overall: Everything in this kit is really nice and not too harsh on the skin while still also providing results. I really like the value on this kit too. I was worried by buying this kit that I'd get super small sample sizes which yeah the moisturizer/spot treatment is small in comparison to the cleanser but I feel like I can get a few months of use out of this no problem. Cleanser: I really like the smell of the cleanser, smells like florals in my opinion but not too scented and it doesn't leave a film/tightness to your skin. I use it nightly and haven't had issues with it. My first night using it I could have sworn I saw results, it may not have wiped out the acne all at once but I could tell it did something overnight. Spot Treatment: Looks like it does it's job, I feel like generally anywhere I apply it to there's a difference and the area will better within a day or two depending severity. Moisturizer: Isn't too bad, I don't use moisturizers as often as I should since I personally already have combo skin but that's not the issue with this one- I just don't like extra layers and am forgetful! This moisturizer doesn't feel too oily though and actually absorbs into the skin really well. I received a free sample of Dr. Zenovia acne solution system from PINCHMe. And all I can say is WOW!! I’m in my mid twenties & have suffered from hormonal (often times painful cystic) acne for over a decade. Unfortunately, I’ve found myself caking on makeup to hide those inflamed blemishes, because to be honest, they’re embarrassing! I’ve tried so many failed acne systems over the years- holistic local facial products, highly recommended brands like Cetaphil, the Ordinary, Neutrogena, you name it. With such a strong percentage, I don't use all three products everyday but rather alternate & all three only one day so it's not very drying. The only drawback is the spot treatment & moisturizer are the same amount. I would like to have more of the moisturizer. The cleanser is my favorite out of all the 3 products, it has really helped to clear up my hormonal acne flare-ups I had on my back. The spot treatment that goes with it also helped to treat and dry out my breakouts. The soothing aloe moisturizer that comes with it is a very lightweight moisturizer. I have not had any new break outs while using this kit. This kit is a good way to try out her products if you have oily/hormonal acne prone skin like I do. I have used this cleanser for a while, it has a really lovely, organic smell, so it's not overbearing. I also have dehydrated skin, so I don't want to use anything stripping. This is the 2nd step in my cleansing routine (following a balm), and it always leaves me feeling fresh and clean. 5/5 The moisturiser was a good summer one for my skin, I don't find it to be enough in winter, but it's very light, absorbs well and has the same scent as the cleanser, but it doesn't linger. 4/5Lisa

This kit ticks all the boxes. Amazing value, beautifully packaged products, combines amazing active ingredients without the cost of making your skin sensitive or dry. The best thing about this kit is that it gives you a whole night routine, you literally don't need to use any other products, you have all of them in this kit. Couldn't say one thing bad about any of the formulas, I absolutely love all of them, especially Luna! Sadly there is one thing that kind of ruins the vibes of the whole kit. Wow! I've been using this set for 5 weeks now and noticed an amazing difference after 2 weeks – so much so I ordered the day time set as well. These kits save you so much money, buying the bottles separate is pricey. For example the Luna oil in this kit (same size) is $70 😱 That said… my skin is softer, smoother, my dark spots have faded a lot, my skin tone is more even. I love this kit and plan on buying it again. **it should last about 2.5-3 months in combination with the day time kit*** Some tips to help it last longer: The Good Gene's product is in a plastic type container within the glass, I removed it and was able to push out 5 more days! (Using twice a day). Skin experts say you only need to wash at night, so I've only been using the face wash at night, I feel like it will last the longest. THE BEST. Every product in this kit (& in Wake Up With Me) is a winner. Powerful, gentle, effective. I have great skin overall, but at 49, it's time I get serious about my skincare! It's not particularly sensitive & I had no reactions to these products, It comes with everything you need to try a complete anti-aging routine. Best cleanser I’ve used. I finally have control over my breakout/cystic acne-prone skin and I have confidence, which is all too important. This has kept my skin clearer and has helped with oiliness better than any other wash I’ve used (I use this combined with the Cera Ve face lotion) and I live in FL, so that’s saying something! It keeps my skin balanced despite the changing weather, from the dryness to the humidity. For those who tend to automatically say something makes their face break out… there’s a difference between your skin breaking out/flaring up/having a bad reaction versus having it purge from a new product. I will tell you that in the beginning I went through some skin purging for a couple weeks. Please Google/know the difference. (: Leave it alone, be kind to your skin. Afterwards my skin cleared up and has stayed clear and clean and nice for months. Even after I got pregnant and with all the hormonal changes, this has maintained my skin so, so well. I can’t recommend this wash enough (and Cera Ve products in general, add the face lotion, too!). But again, just be patient! Skin miracles will not happen overnight. I am a massive skincare enthusiast and I have tested probably 60 cleansers in my skincare journey. And I ALWAYS come back to this one. I have probably gone through 30 bottles of this. This is one of the least drying foaming cleansers I have ever tried. This is one of those foaming cleansers that does NOT leave your face even remotely squeaky clean once you rinse it from your face. No joke. When you rinse it away, your skin feels slippery and smooth still; not even the faintest amount of "squeakiness" at all. Now… if you pat your face dry and let your face get bone dry afterward- of course your face will get dry! Some people do this and judge the cleanser for being "drying"- ANY cleanser, even hydrating ones, will feel drying if you don't hydrate the skin immediately after cleansing with serums and moisturizers. You shouldn't be allowing your face to dry down anyways. As soon as you cleanse, walk to your counter and apply your first serum onto damp skin. I digress. This cleanser is absolutely incredible. I think the ceramides and humectants are a nice buffer against dryness. I will use this cleanser for life. It also makes an amazing body wash and a little goes a long wayStephen

I read the reviews for this after I bought it and was kinda scared it would break me out. Turns out my fears were unfounded. My skin is fairly sensitive and I'm prone to ingrown hairs. Of course, YMMV, but this stuff has been working wonders for my skin, and I use it right after shaving when my skin is most sensitive. I'm not sure if the other reviewers received a bad batch, left the product on too long, or had an allergic reaction to a component within, but I have had zero issues and have nothing but good things to say about this stuff. To be on the safe side, I moisturize heavily and apply an alcohol-free aftershave as soon as I finish washing my face. I have to use a mixture of Vaseline with cocoa and either Uncle Jon's Lime Up aftershave, Lime skin food, and/or Proraso Azure Lime aftershave balm. The results speak for themselves. Using just Vaseline leaves my skin greasy, and using just an aftershave leaves my skin dry. I highly recommend Uncle Jon's Lime Up aftershave to use in conjunction with this, especially if you use this after you shave.ai.h

I’ve never had a “skin care routine” before. But I had begun noticing extremely dry skin around my eyes and lips. Store bought lotions weren’t working. I received a sample of the “AM” moisturizer and decided to try the Level 1 set. After using it for the first month, I am very happy with the results. The moisturizer’s work very well. So much that when I work the off shifts at work and forget to moisturize, my skin doesn’t look or feel dry. I’m incredibly happy that this was able to cure the dry skin issues I was having. I am absolutely adoring my Hanley products. I have terrible combination skin. It's 100% dry and 1000% oily. Just do the math. I've long had to avoid almost any kind of lotion or sunscreen because it makes my face explode like it caught that cordyceps fungus from the Last of Us. But every single one of Tiége Hanley's products does exactly as advertised. My nose has even lost all of its blackheads! Gross, but awesome. And the products leave my skin feeling great, too. It might sound like I'm going overboard here, but I've been searching for products like these for 35 years. Probably would have done wonders in my 20s, but at least I have them now. Just so no one thinks this is a paid review or anything, the one "area of improvement" I can think of is I wish that the "Wash" face wash lathered. I have to apply it like you would "dot contouring" with makeup, then rub it in. I'm fine with that for everything else, but it'd be nice to just rub the face wash all over. I do not recommend this to anyone with oily or acne prone skin like mine. This product felt very drying on my face and it also made my acne so much worse! The toner smell is very off putting – like a very strong nail polish remover. The mini cleanser and toner did last about 10 days as advertised, though the moisturizer lasted a lot longer for me. This is awesome, 3 full size products with 3 travel size. I love the clarifying lotion. Its gentle exfoliation without any effort!! Just swipe your face with a cotton ball drenched with it. I’m really surprised by the negative reviews I’m reading! I got this cleanser as a sample and I loved it so much that I purchased it afterward. I have combination skin and I also tend to get rosacea in the winter so I really need something gentle. I don’t wear a ton of makeup but I do wear a tinted moisturizer and bronzer and this product washes everything off. I also feel like my skin looks amazing after washing. My skin is sooo sensitive and so many products make me break out, but not this one. I simply soak it onto a cotton round and use it to remove makeup or to just clean and refresh while gently moisturizing my face. I notice after i use this, my face feels really soft. It is not at all harsh because its been near my eyes and it does not burn. It has a very light, fresh clean smell. I use it to remove makeup, wash my face, apply toner, then moisturize. This has made my skin significantly healthier looking and doesnt strip my skin of its nutrients and helps balance out oiliness and keeps my face looking smooth. I have sensitive acne prone skin. I scratched my current oil based “ clean beauty” skincare routine after months of crappy results. Got rid of all the fancy products I didnt use and did not work and stuck to a simple quality routine. I gave myself a 60 day adjustment. It worked wonders for my skin. I was so excited to get this. I loved the packaging and I loved the idea of this product and it all made me feel very fancy getting it. I have oily skin and acne and was really hoping to love this product. I used it for the first time during a nighttime shower. I loved the tinge of color but immediately I noticed it was scented. I figured it would be okay and went through with washing my face. I loved the feel of the wash and I felt it did a great job cleaning without stripping. It was about 20 minutes after my shower through that I needed to go wash my face again because I could not stand the smell. I figured I used too much and I would use less and in the morning the next time. I thought it would be great to smell nice in the morning. I gave it a couple of days and then tried a smaller amount in the morning. It was the same. I lasted about 20 minutes before I needed a different face wash to help get rid of the scent of this one. I loved the way it cleaned my face, and I loved the packaging but I could not get over the scent. I didn't finish the bottle, and I won't. Avène Cleanance Cleansing Gel has a smooth, light blue-hued texture that works well into my damp skin. Once massaged in, the gel texture rapidly changes into a semi-foamy lather. There's also a medium strength scent released, but I find it a pleasant experience as I am not sensitive to it. For heavy makeup application, I use this as my second cleanser in a double cleansing routine. However, it has also been a great standalone cleanser for everyday use when I am wearing very little or no makeup. I have non-sensitive combination skin and felt this easily left my face feeling cleansed without being stripped. My face feels incredibly soft afterwards too, which I love! Since I've begun using this both morning and night, I've noticed my skin is less oily overall, which helps to make my makeup last longer throughout the day. I have acne prone and combination skin. Along with this, I have sensitive skin at times so it's difficult for me to find products to put on my face that doesn't make me have a reaction such as redness burning or break outs. I really like the Avène Cleanance Cleansing Gel because it is super gentle on my skin. It doesn't make my skin feel tight after I wash it off. It's a gel consistency but once massaged in your skin with water, it turns to a cream foam. It gets stubborn eyeliner offz to where I don't have to rub hard at all. A little bit goes a long ways. The smell is very light but super pleasant. My skin afterwards feel baby soft, smooth and fresh. I love the way it makes my skin feel. It gets all of the oil off and seems like my pores are slowly shrinking as well. The price point for this cleanser is super reasonable. I use this in the shower mornings when I first wake up for a refresher and evenings before bed to get all the dirt and makeup off my face. It's also good for body acne. My acne on my, shoulders seem to be drying out a bit and not oily as it used to be. I would highly recommend this product to anyone faving the same issues I had. 10/10 from me.Monica

This cleanser is really good. There are lots of comments in regard to the new formula being worse than the old, which has NOT been my experience. ( it’s just a cleanser list of ingredients! ). This gentle foaming cleanser defends against 5 signs of skin barrier, dryness, irritation, roughness, and tightness. It’s not harsh on my skin at all. I massage the product into my ski for 60 seconds then rinse and follow the rest of my daily routine. This product goes on light and smooth and leaves my skin feeling fresh and healthy. I don’t care for the smell though, hence I less the star rating. What I love about this cleanser it is effective, but gentle without stripping or leaving my skin feeling dry. The original formula left my skin feeling dry. I’m so happy they improved the formula with glycerine because my skin feels refreshed and moisturized! First off, I’m an esthetician so I’m a bit of a skin care snob. Things that I do love about this cleanser is that the company reworked the formula and took out the parabens and all of the harmful ingredients that it use to use. The cleanser is definitely gentle and good for sensitive skin. But it doesn’t have any actual active ingredients that would help with acne. So if your expecting it to cure any acne. It won’t. It would be best if used as a pre-cleanse before an active cleanser or if your on a medication that prevents you from using active ingredients. It doesn’t even fully remove my foundation and I don’t use a heavy foundation.jeana.w

This is one of my top favorites for cleansing. A dermatologist recommended it to me years ago. It’s effective yet gentle enough for sensitive skin. Removes makeup well too. No breakouts or irritation! I mainly use this when I’m having a bad hormonal acne flare up or if my skin is just being extra picky. Keeps things clean without stripping oils or your natural barrier, doesn’t dehydrate, and helps to soothe/heal. I came across a magazine ad of Exposed Skincare system when I was on the verge of giving up all hope after using Murad's system for one year without any success, and hearing negative reviews of the over-drying side effects of Proactiv from family and friends. I read the product descriptions and thought why not switch over at a much lower cost and see if its claims are true by trying out the system for a while! Well, that was April 2013 and I've been a devoted Exposed Skincare user for more than four years! This system WORKS!! You must be very diligent using all products in the system (Exposed Expanded Kit ) for a least one year. As time went on in the 6th month mark, I began to notice my skin gradually cleared up from existing acne with very rare new acne formation. By one year time, my face hardly had any acne at all! It is an amazing system and I have very stubborn skin. I've been battling acne since puberty. I am pushing 50 this year and I still have an occasional breakout from time to time. Thankfully, I did not have severe cystic acne, but I tend to breakout on both sides of cheeks with one or two juicy pimples and little zits on chin the T-zone. Thank to Exposed Skincare system, my stubborn acne issues drastically subsided and under controlled, and I've tapered off the the system a bit, but I do use the face wash and the clearing tonic religiously on the daily basis. Whenever I get a little breakout on my face or on my back I'd use the Clear Pore Serum and Acne Treatment twice per day for one week. It ALWAYS works like a charm!! I absolutely love the Moisture Complex, makes my skin feel soft and supple without greasy sensation! Sadly, it is not included in the Basic kit after I decided to downgrade the kit early this year. I purchased this skin care about 6 months ago and have used it ever since. I really appreciated the packaging and instructions/tips that came in the box. It is a great basic cleanser and toner. I also think that the serums cause any breakouts to heal much faster than normal. If I ever neglect to use the cleanser for a couple of days, I can tell in my skin immediately. I didn’t rate 5 stars because both times I have ordered the kit, I’ve run out of cleaner and toner long before either serum but the cleanser is almost as expensive as the entire kit so it is a bit of a nuisance. I wish that the kit came with a larger bottle of cleanser and toner so that they run out around the same time as the serums. But, definitely a wonderful product that has done great things for my skin!caroline.h

I have battled acne for 30 years! Over the years I have tried so many prescription creams on my sensitive skin. When applied to my face they all have caused burning, itching, my skin peeling, my eyes got swollen on one, some didn't work, and one that worked ended up not being covered under my insurance and cost a fortune without it. I have a prescription pill that I have been taking for like 5 years that takes care of the acne on my back and chest pretty well but it doesn't get rid of the acne on my face. I finally decided to try something that wasn't prescription for my face and found Exposed online. After reading the great reviews I thought what the heck, lets try this and my sensitive skin tolerates this very well! I have had no itching or burning and my face is so clear from acne! I love how it came with the guide with extra tips, that has been really helpful. I use the face cleanser and toner in the morning and evening and follow with the acne serum in the morning and clear pore serum at evening. The clarifying mask really tightens up your skin and makes it look great too. It kind of burned a little after I applied it but it went away when I washed my face. My sensitive skin tolerated it and I feel like it was worth it because it makes your face look amazing. In summary I really love this product. It has really helped me. Anyone who struggles with acne understands what it does to their confidence. It can really make you feel like you are not beautiful. What I love about Paula Begoun's skincare range is firstly: the transparency. An explanation is given for each ingredient so you know exactly what you're putting onto/into your skin. Secondly there's ample opportunity to trial the products via a sample size on the website. Not to mention a good returns policy. The 2% BHA lotion was one of the products that I invested in full size (along with a bunch of samples) and funnily enough was my least favorite out of everything I ordered. It's not that it broke me out or disagreed with me in any way, it just didn't do much for me. Even after the first 3 weeks of usage, gradually built up to twice daily applications, my skin still looked exactly the same as before I started using it. Pores, blemishes, oiliness, you name it…zero difference! It's unfortunate, as I skipped the option of a sample pack, thinking it wouldn't be enough product to give it a fair try. I was somehow convinced this 1 bottle would be the answer to all my skincare woes (not entirely sure what lead me to believe that!). The good: it wasn't harsh on my skin like many BHA products can be, and the application was well controlled, never too much or too little. I don't normally post reviews, but when I see something actually make improvements to my skin I've gotta share my experience because I know there's so much BS in products these days. But Paulas Choice 2% for the win! I got a small sample bottle for $10. I read the reviews and was a little nervous to do it everyday because of what people were saying…but that wasn't my experience. I used it everyday, morning & night. I shook the bottle 3 times into my hand and smoothed it over my entire face. I was using the cotton pads at first, and just doing on the areas that needed it but then I ran out of the pads so I put it in my hands and honestly, it worked way better when I was just using my hands to spread it because it seemed to soak into my face better. I saw people say that their face would get irritated by using it everyday and the way to use it correctly and see results was to use it once a week… so I just wanted to see how my face would react the next day but nothing felt bad and I decided to do it again in the morning. I loved how it felt on my skin, and I only had 1 flare up and that was a week later May 26-27th (Photos Included) The pimple went away quickly and I still decided to put the product on my face Night & Day. I saw people say it isn't good for sun exposure so not to use it during the day, but I am staying home at the moment so I don't go outside as often, maybe 20 mins a day. So I took that caution with a grain of salt. If you go outside more, maybe you should listen to that warning lol. I am not a product expert of how to use it correctly, all I know is I used it night and day and the hyperpigmentation/dark spots on my forehead have really toned down and my skin looks a lot more smooth/brighter which I love. I always feel like I'm glowing and it feels spa like when I put it on, it's got a nice relaxing smell and a nice soothing texture to it that isn't too oily. This is my tried and true holy grail exfoliator. No matter what I try, I always come back to this one. I have emptied soooo many bottles of this. I have very sensitive, combination (super dry/normal in the winter & oily/normal in the summer but I can still use this product all year around despite my skin type) and acne prone skin. I have to say that I hated this product the very first time I tried it–it stung my skin. It was to the point where I ran into the bathroom to wash it off my face after just a few mins of applying it. I really tried to like the product but the sting was too painful and the SMELL of this is absolutely atrocious. The product smells like acetone to me and I probably gagged in about 20 different languages when I put it on my face for the first time (although I would rather it smell disgusting than have them add a ton fragrance to the product. My skin doesn't do will with heavy fragrances). I left this on my vanity for a few months before I picked it up again–I just didn't want to waste my money. Someone told me to dilute the product with water on a cotton pad–I tried it and it didn't sting my face nearly as bad but still some intense tingling going on. But the next morning, I noticed how soft and rejuvenated my skin looked and felt. I continued to use it once a week and I fell in love with the product and slowly stopped diluting it as much as my skin got used to it. After 4-5 years of using this religiously 2-3 times a week, I still feel tingling on my skin when I use it but I've gotten use to the feeling and the horrible smell because the results are worth it. Due to my sensitive skin, I absolutely can NOT use this product more than 2-3 times a week. This product is wonderful. It takes me about a little less than a year.Vic

I used this product once in 2020 and I loved the way it cleaned my face and handled my acne like it was no big deal. I eventually ran out of the "bar" during quarantine and was really disappointed I couldn't go out and buy another. It's been a full year since I last purchased the product and when I started using the "bar" again I realized how effective it is. It lathers nicely and a little bit of the cleanser goes a long way. A really long way. In the shower, I would let it sit on my face. It would tingle, but it was nothing painful. It literally eliminated any major and minor blemishes I had and gave me a smooth complexion. I sadly ran out of the product again and I have been using the salicylic acid cleanser from Cerave. It's only been a week since I changed cleansers and my blemishes are coming back again :/. I may be relying on this cleansing "bar" too much, but it works wonders for me. My skin is combo with oily areas. Prior to using this cleanser, I was using the cleanser in the peach jar, which is good for dry skin. Not don’t get me wrong, it kept my skin clear and breakout free but when I got a bad breakout this summer I tried this one figuring it would be better. Also, products typically for cleaning and acne bother my skin. This cleanser is just it for me; smooth, even skin, breakouts go away quicker and no lingering dark marks. It’s also not drying so I can use it twice daily. The green jar was too drying for me. When I say my skin without makeup is amazing, this stuff really gives you that clear look.Latasia S.

Wow wow wow! The name miracle clear for this line is SPOT ON! It really is a miracle how fast these products can clear your skin and keep your skin clear. The only downside to this moisturizer is that it smells a little weird, but it's not terrible and such a small price to pay for such a quality product. It's a soft cream texture that absorbs quickly and feels great going on. It moisturizes really well, while doing so much more as well. This moisturizer is pretty thick. I have sensitive, combo skin and I gotta say, after a few hours after applying, my skin is super oily. Initially, after applying, my skin feels super soft and great but it definitely doesn't stay that way all day. Not sure if it's helping my acne disappear since it's making my face more oily too. Skin is smoother, firmer, complexion is more even-toned. Multiple steps can be cumbersome at times but generally speaking not difficult to create and follow a routine. Price on the higher end, but for the products and results it is worth it. The cleansing oil, rice polish and eye cream are standouts for me in this set. The cleansing oil removes buildup from my skin without leaving me tight or greasy. The eye cream is light and has a delicate, pleasant smell and goes on beautifully. My favorite is the rice polish, in part to the genius design of the cap – you might need two hands to unscrew the lid, but the inside can be operated with one hand and only has a small dispensing hole, so you don't spill extra product and you can use this in the shower without fear of getting water into the container. The polish starts off lightly gritty and then turns into a luxurious foaming cleanser. I'm truly not sure if the Essence is doing anything for my skin, and it's hard to moderate the amount I need. I find sprinkling it directly from the bottle onto my face and then patting it in works best. The least successful of these products for me is the Indigo cream. It's a phenomenal, creamy moisturizer that I think I'll like more in the winter. Right now, it's too heavy for my very oil prone skin, and by late afternoon my forehead is an oil slick. If you're less prone to oil, I imagine you'll love this one more than I do because like I said, it's truly a lovely product. Overall, in combination with a few other Tatcha products I bought at the same time, I have noticed a genuine improvement in my skin's brightness, smoothness/texture, overall appearance. These products did nothing for my acne, though I wasn't necessarily expecting that. Definitely recommend.Laney K.

Since I'm not super oily or super dry, this was a great intro for me. The Silk Peony eye cream is moisturizing and feels great. The Camelia Oil is quite effective in removing makeup and moisturizing. (I use another brand's product to get my waterproof mascara off, then this takes off everything on my skin!) The Rice Polish feels so good. When I have finished with the Oil and Polish, my skin feels great! The Essence is interesting… but I can feel it instantly tighten/firm my skin, and then it is ready for the moisturizer. I like the Silk Cream, but I have more shine in my T-zone half way through the day than I want. I think that instead of using the Classic line for everything, I'm going to use the Deep Cleanse and Deep Polish in the mornings, followed by the Essence and the Water Cream (or a combo of Water Cream and Silk Cream), then in the evenings use the Camelia Oil and either Classic or Deep polish, then the Silk Cream, combined with Dewy Silk Cream if an extra moisture boost is needed. (I've concluded these based on samples I had of the Deep line, plus borrowing my daughter's Dewy Cream, so I think this plan will work!) I also plan to try the Violet-C mask and serum (to deal with my uneven skin tone/texture), and maybe the Firming Eye Serum (since I'm not getting any younger!).Jill M.

As a licensed esthetician, my daily beauty routine is important to me. Keeping my skin as clear and healthy as possible is a passion for me. However, I have ADHD along with other mental health struggles that make skincare difficult at times. That’s where this serum comes in for me. I don’t typically have problematic skin, but I definitely notice when the consistency of my skincare routines is lacking. Over the past month of trying out this serum, it’s become my go-to “fix” for when I end up skipping a routine or two (or three.) Thank you for the opportunity to test and review this product. The packaging was very attractive. And the scent was a mild cucumber like smell. As the product contained glycerine it didn't dry out my skin as much as some other anti clarifying products often would. This would work as either a light pre lotion patted onto your skin with your hands before other products or used as a gentle toner on a pad to prep/mildly cleanse the skin for other products. I wouldn't say it is a necessary step everyday or made a huge difference to my skin (however you need to test skin products for 4-6 weeks really so 1 week isn't really enough). I'd say it has a similar effect to a face mist except you put it on with your hands. It is nice though to find a product like this for blemish prone skin that isn't overly drying, but would only recommend it for oily types and not as an every day product as it may eventually dry you out a little.Fairy7

I am a huge fan of this. I have been using it daily for over 2 weeks and can see a difference in my skin. The name is a little off as this is not a lotion, it is more like a liquid toner. I apply it with a cotton ball but you can use a tissue, toilet paper or even a cotton pad. My container of it has a lid with a small hole in it which makes it nice to not use to much when applying to the cotton ball. A little goes a long way with this. In the 2 week use I have used less than a quarter of the bottle. My skin is softer and looks a lot better. I find that it stay moisturized longer than before and less oily spots throughout the day. The red in my cheeks are not as noticeable and I believe with more time they will be blended in perfectly.Westmiller81

I am really pleased with this product. I have not tried Bioderma before but will definitely be purchasing this and trying some of their other products. The lotion came in a good size bottle and on applying I found it to have a pleasant smell, very fresh. I did find that it made my skin have a slight sting (very mild) however this didn’t react or cause any redness so I think this is the lotion toning. Once I moisturised this went away. I found my skin seemed smoother after the first day of use which I was really happy about! I also found it helped even out some of my dryer areas. I did use this morning and night. Overall I’m really happy with this and will continue using buy once I’ve run out!Sarah324
