I love this moisturizer! I came across it on a YouTube video while looking for hydrating moisturizers. I have combination skin and my skin feels so hydrated after using this. It’s important to note that I pair this with the Laniege hyaluronic revitalizing toner which is also very hydrating. I also use an exfoliating cleanser, Paula’s Choice vitamin C serum and Innisfree sunscreen during the day. I use the moisturizer at night as well with other products. Love the combo! I got a sample of this serum in a BeautyFix box. I have oily, acne-prone skin and I found this product to be slightly too heavy to use as a serum (under a moisturizer), but not softening enough to use in place of a moisturizer. (And by "too heavy," I don't mean that it leaves a residue; it doesn't, it actually absorbs completely. I mean that I can feel a bit of tightness on my skin's surface after application and I can still feel a slightly uncomfortable layer when I put a moisturizer on top.) So to use up the rest of the sample, I put this serum on right after cleansing (without my usual toner/essence underneath), and put on one of my more moisturizing sunscreens on top. This worked out okay, although my skin did get greasy more quickly with this routine than I'm used to with my usual routine. I am also not a fan of skincare products with perfume-y scents. So because of the product's scent and incompatibility with my skin type and preferences, I wouldn't recommend this serum unless you have normal-to-dry skin and don't mind perfume-y scents.Anonymous

I’ve been using this for well over two months and it does not work at all if you have any type of atopic dermatitis (eczema, psoriasis, etc). The first two or so weeks I used this it seemed to work pretty well, but after that it was terrible. If you have dehydrated skin, a skin condition that makes it dry like eczema, or both, I DO NOT RECOMMEND. It soaks into your skin in less than 60 seconds (I’m not kidding I timed it one day and it took about 20 seconds for it to completely disappear into my skin). Around my eyes especially is dry to the point it’s almost scaly, very flaky at times, and always looks red / wrinkly. (I’m only 18). This product is a waste of time and money. My moms been using it for a few weeks now and even though she has oily skin, it soaks in almost as fast for her as it does me. We both made the comment that it almost makes your skin feel dry because it soaks in too fast and leaves nothing behind to coat your skin and make it continue to feel hydrated. Trust me, I’ve tried every combination of products and order of using this in my skin care routine I could think of, and it seems to counteract every other moisturizer and hydrating product I use. It’s so bad I resorted to buying one of the bioderma chapsticks to use around my eyes and the driest parts of my face like around my eyes solely because I needed something to give me that terrible greasy feeling to keep my skin from hurting so bad I’d have to ice it. I like this product. It's very effective at cleansing and the feel during application on my skin is excellent. It leaves my face feeling soft and clean without being stripped of moisture. There are a couple of downsides for me: the packaging, which becomes difficult to pry open after a couple of uses and the lid feels quite flimsy, as if it's about to break off. The other downside is that it contains a fragrance which I find a bit overwhelming, I usually prefer my skincare products to be fragrance free. I really wanted to like this moisturizer, especially given the price point, but was disappointed. I am swapping all beauty and wellness products to cruelty free alternatives and have been looking for a good substitute for my Cera Ve moisturizer, which is excellent for year-round use. I am in my 30s so I am focused on anti-aging and repair and am seeking a cost-effective cruelty free moisturizer than sinks in well, maintains moisture for long periods of time, and doesn’t cause breakouts. I LOVED the glowy finish on this moisturizer but noticed after a couple of days that my skin was getting really dry while using this product. I tried coupling this moisturizer with a heavier serum/face oil, but no luck. After a week of use, I had a couple of flaky, dry spots on my face and had to relinquish this to neck and hand moisturizer. If you have less dry skin, I could see this as being a great option. I was surprised that this didn't get a universal 5 stars in the ratings because this is hands down my favorite moisturizer. But when I looked into it, the complaints were from women who had acne issues. This is NOT a good moisturizer for acne prone skin. However, it is AMAZING FOR DRY SKIN. I have always been complimented for my beautiful skin, but that's because I have always taken care of it. For years I used Chanel and LaMer products. At about age 45, I started using Clarins Double Serum (which I *still* swear by). After trying a sample of Tatcha's The Dewy Skin Cream, I realized that it worked just as well, but cost a fraction of what Chanel's Le Lift or La Mer's Creme de la Mer. I switched and haven't looked back. I'm nearly 60 and I still have people compliment me on my beautiful skin and who are shocked when they hear my age. I have a simple routine: removing my eye makeup with Lancome's Bi-facil, rinsing my face with water and a washcloth (and occasionally using micellar water), drying it and adding a small dollop of Clarin's Double Serum, and in winter, following with this Tatcha moisturizer. My skin is reactive, tending to Rosaceae. I am very pale (Irish descent) and burn easily (followed by freckles). I also tend to have dry skin.repto

I was recommended to get the Tacha Dewy Moisturizer and Rice Wash Cleanser by a Sephora employee for my skin type (combo-oily, super oily t-zone, dry patches on my cheeks and outer corners of my eyes). I first got the $25 travel set as a trial pack, and WOW did it have more product in it than I thought it would. The two tiny containers lasted me 3 weeks. More than enough time to see how my skin would handle the new skincare routine. I wash and moisturize my face twice a day and I’ve seen a tremendous improvement to my skin. I would have bright red breakouts on my chin, all over my jaw, cheeks, in between my eyebrows, my forehead and hairline. I have had a pimple maybe once in the past few weeks now? I do have scarring and some discoloration from years of picking at my poor skin—so I will be looking for a spot treatment for any pop-up zits and dark spots, BUT! I love this stuff. A little goes a long way and it’ll last you forever. The moisturizer smells good, has a nice feeling, dries quickly and has your skin feelings so incredibly soft. Where should I begin? For starters, I've oily + sensitive skin, so finding a good moisturizer that satisfies me it's a hassle. It's that part of my skincare routine that does not excite me, 'cause I've never been able to find the right one. UNTIL NOW, that is. The gel-like consistency is perfect for my skin type, and the formulation is is dream, yeah, it is like second skin. It does leave my skin looking a bit dewy (which made nervous, at first), but only if you use too much product. A little goes a long way; it'll last me a while. Great absorbency. And my skin is left very hydrated/moisturized without feeling heavy. Even better, it helps soothe my skin everytime I get those pesky irritations. I only use this cream at night with a very minimal skincare routine which my skin really favors at the moment. Currently I'm using Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner + Beauty of Joseon Calming Serum + Klairs Fundamental Water Gel Cream. That's it. It has really helped my skin heal, and in the morning, my skin is glowing, irritation unnoticeable and ready to take on a whole new day. So I decided to try this product due to my skin being extremely dehydrated and my skin type is combo/dry. Game changer. NO GREASE. NO DRYING. My skin feels so hydrated after using this! The consistency is goopy but don’t let that fool ya. This babe absorbs like dream. It has this nice seal, softness to it. Not too thick, not too thin. Wow!!! I was looking for a healing, healthy skin day cream that provided enough moisture without being irritating or tacky, and didn't have too many abrasive actives given daylight exposure, and this is amazing! My skin has never been softer in my life. It would actually make an incredible night cream as well if I didn't need to use retinol based cream at night. It smells *divine*, like a very light, whipped honey butter. The color and meltability and texture also just make me think of delicious, creamy honey butter. It melts right in and I only need the tiniest amount– a little goes a huge way. I'd be tempted to slather and just massage my face for an hour to feel the silky glide, but, using too much can leave a greasy feel and sheen. Overall it's almost edibly yummy, beautifully scented, and nourishing to the max. Even using potentially drying compounds or peels that dry out the face doesn't really matter with this cream. I also do live in a hot/humid climate and I bet it wouldn't be at all greasy or heavy if it was cold and dry. It's probably an ideal winter cream. Oh, and it does seem to help with minor skin abrasions. I find it doesn't break me out but I also use a lot of other products to combat that.J.L. H.

This product was gifted by Farmacy. First off the packaging on this is just awesome! It's very heavy and feels premium plus I love the fact that a little metal scooper was included so that you don't have to dig your fingers into it. The best part though is that the scooper actually sits on top of the lid magnetically so that you don't have to worry about losing it. The actual cream is very thick but silky smooth and it rubs into the skin easily. Because of the thickness I did find it to take about 15 minutes or so to fully absorb into my skin to the point it wouldn't feel like a residue when touched so I did have to make sure to apply it far enough ahead of time before putting on makeup or going to bed. It made my skin feel very hydrated and supple. I do have normal to combo skin that errs slightly on the side of being more dry in the winter months so for me this will be a good wintertime moisturizer and I would probably skip it in the warmer months because it would feel too heavy for my oilier periods. The one drawback to this is the scent for me. It does smell like honey, which I love, but it is a very heavy, cloying honey scent to my nose which I didn't enjoy fully. If it had been a bit lighter honey scent I would've loved it more but it's not a deal breaker. Just be aware if you are more sensitive to scents this one is quite strong. Overall this is a good moisturizer for when you need a lot of extra hydration either in the winter or if you have year round dry skin.ItsLP

i have sensitive/combo/acne prone skin with some occasional eczema flare ups. My friends and I joke that every possible skin problem someone could have, I’ve got. For the past year I have gone through many products at sephora trying to find some impossible product that works for all of my skin issues. I have tried laneige water bank cream (which worked for the summer months only, then it wasn’t hydrating enough), skin fix barrier repair lotion (the middle one between cream/gel bc I thought the cream would be too thick/gel too thin and while i loved the consistency, the lotion wasn’t hydrating enough), the youth to the people superfood moisturizer that so many people claimed was their holy grail but i had to use so much product to feel sufficiently hydrated and even then found it drying (and don’t even get me started on their face wash, it cleared my acne but made my eczema flare up so badly because it was so drying), i also tried cerave pm, cerave salicylic acid, cerave hydrating moisturizer (dark blue pump, and their cream in the container, la roche posay toleraine riche moisturizer, their effeclair duo for acne, as well as their cicaplast baume, the purple tatcha, etc etc so as you can see i’ve done my time. This is the FIRST moisturizer that hasn’t made me flare up with acne or eczema, isn’t too hydrating to make my face oily but isn’t too dry that it makes me crave more lotion. This also doesn’t make my skin burn like many other face products do. If anyone has made it through reading this whole review, thank you and please give this one a try if you have problematic skin because it’s truly the one product i’ll have to keep repurchasing even though it’s more expensive. My only recommendations for you are: laneige in the summer if your face gets greasy like mine, this one in the fall/winter/springish and if you need extra hydration then laneige makes a really great waterbank overnight mask to go overtop of your moisturizer. This is the most amazing moisturizer I have ever used. I have very oily skin but I'm also in my late 40's so most oily skin moisturizers on the market aren't made for me. Hydra Genius for oily skin is super hydrating and is made without all the gunk usually found in oily skin moisturizers. I’ve been using this product for about 3-4 weeks now, and for me it resulted in severe breakouts and clogged pores! I have combination skin, but do not tend to have acne problem at all, so this kind of reaction is very unusual to me. It also is a terrible base for make up, my base just doesn’t blend and turns into a very unbuildable and weird texture. I also tried different make up products just to understand what is the problem, and the result was the same with any of them… Another problem is it’s smell – although it is quite pleasant, I would say it’s way more long lasting and strong that it has to be for a moisturizer.Polina

Why I like it: I bought this online, not knowing that it had been reformulated since the website still shows the picture of the old bottle and has the old ingredients list. The old one is called Lipikar Balm AP+ Intense Repair Moisturizing Cream, while the new one is called Lipikar AP+M Triple Repairing Moisturizing Cream, so if you get a bottle that says the latter, it's the new version. I was nervous to try the new one since I had used the old one for a little over a year as both a body lotion and face moisturizer at night for my dry skin and it had worked wonders. It kept my skin moisturized without breaking me out, which is impressive for such a thick moisturizer. New vs. old formula: This new formula is pretty similar, but not quite as good. It takes longer to rub in than the old one, and at first it feels a little stickier, although it doesn't stay sticky for too long. The textures are pretty similar, but this new one feels a little airier or slightly more whipped, and when it comes out of the bottle it doesn't come out as smoothly, like there are lots of air pockets in it, which is a bit of a pain. On the skin though it feels pretty much the same. The main ingredient difference between the two seems to be that the old one had mineral oil while this one doesn't, and this one has ceramides while the old one didn't. You can find the new ingredient list on the La Roche-Posay website since Ulta still shows the old one. Overall thoughts: Overall I still like this moisturizer and will continue using it; I still haven't had any problems with it breaking me out. But I did like the old one a bit more and I was frustrated to not know I was getting a different product when I placed my order, so hopefully this helps someone with that.Skincare Enthusiast

My initial reaction when using this moisturizing cream was how thick it is. It's incredibly easy to smooth on the skin and you dont need a lot of product to cover your entire body. But something felt odd about it after it started drying down. It felt heavy like my skin was coated. Using it again I finally figured out what was happening. This cream's first ingredient is water. Another ingredient is Shea Butter. These are great ingredients, in winter, because it's for extra dry skin. It's also accepted by the National Eczema Association. During the winter months this is absolutely what my skin needs and I look forward to using it then, when I know my skin will absolutely drink it in and love it. But, right now it's summer in the Midwest and temperatures have been high 90s/ low 100s for several weeks and with the high humidity that comes along with that, it's just too much moisture for my skin to handle. Other than that, this product is amazing. Not only for it's Eczema relieving properties but also because it's suitable for babies and adults. It's also suitable for patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. (Consult your trusted medical professional prior to using.) The bottle is also made from 96% recycled plastic (excluding pump). I have had a hard time finding a good moisturizer for my eczema which mostly affects my face. I was looking for one I can use at night that is super hydrating and this is it. I will say it's probably not something you would want to wear as your daytime moisturizer because it is extremely visible (greasy looking?) and it does feel thick at first but it's extremely worth it. I also am very acne prone and this did my make me break out. I do have a steroid cream prescription that kind of helps but I had some really stubborn spots that wouldn't go away. In addition to my prescription I use the lanolin gold salve on the areas that are really eczema prone. I have been using the lanolin/steroid cream combo for months and while they help I have only been using this moisturizer for about a week and it seems to be the final piece of the puzzle to solve my eczema. Point is you probably won't regret this purchase. I do wish I had the bigger bottle with the pump though because it is a better deal and I think pumps are better than caps.Frank

Jergens Ulta healing extra dry skin moisturizer is a great product to use if you have dry skin. My elbows are always really dry. When i used this moisturizer my skin felt so relieved after the first time using it. My skin was pretty much healed up after just a few days of using it. I loved that this lotion rubbed in nice and easily and left my skin so soft. It also doesn't leave any oil residue when you rubbed it in. I am very pleased with how great to no longer have cracked and dry elbows from using this moisturizer. It's definitely a great product to have for your extra dry skin issues.jennifer.l

I have had painfully cracked skin and heels since I started walking and it has taken me 28yrs to find out why. I have ichthyosis vulgaris. This is common trait passed down from one or both parents causing the body to not shed dead skin the way its supposed to. Which then causes a lot of other problems like infection and not being able to sweat from clogged pores. This condition can be misdiagnosed as severe dry skin in milder cases like mine.

The pack contains three products and the back of the pack easily explains which order to do each one. The soothing spray left my skin feeling refreshed, invigorated and calm and a perfect amount sprays out each time. The serum is lovely: the pump is easy to use and it dispenses an ideal amount with each pump. ive been using this for the last few day and i like it, its a 3 step skincare routine with prodcts to soothe, prep and moisturise the skin. The Thermal Spring Water is a spray can which you just spray then leave a few mins before patting dry. this leave face feeling cool and refreshed. Then use the Hydrance Intense Rehydrating Serum which comes in a pump top bottle so is easy to dispense. really lightweight cream with a pleasant odor. I say surprisingly because I’ve purchased so many beauty products that promise one thing or another and do absolutely nothing. My dermatologist recommended this brand to me for my incredibly (ridiculously) sensitive skin. My 55 yr old skin is dry on the chin and cheeks and oily on the nose and forehead. I also like to breakout with angry red pimples. When I combat the pimples the other parts of face react contrary to what is ideal. Too dry, too irritated or too red. I have super oily skin on my face, it always bothered me but i never did anything about it, I kept using the same old face cream since high school. I turned 30 recently and the photos of my birthday showed me how oily my skin looked even with make up on, so i decided to look for other options. This serum is fantastic! It absorbs quickly and very light. I have used it for nearly two months and my face is hydrated, smooth, and my pores seem smaller. A little goes a long way. I have stopped using expensive youth serums because of this product. I use it morning/night on clean skin. In the morning I use a tinted spf moisturizer over it and my make-up applies smooth. Five out of the six facial products I use are CeraVe. I've been using this product for about a month now. When I was first looking for an Hyaluronic product, I of course looked to CeraVe first. I was disappointed that I couldn't find the percentage of Hyaluronic Acid on the package or anywhere. I looked under the questions section on Amazon and everyone said that CeraVe doesn't give out proprietary ingredient info. L'Oréal Revitalift has no problem stating their percentage..1.5% Pure Hyaluronic Acid. I will stop using the CeraVe and purchase the Revitalift, since I know what I'm am purchasing. Maybe CeraVe has a higer concentration, but since I don't know, I'll have to go with what I do know. Here's what worked for me. At night, wash face, apply exfoliant/toner. Let that dry down completely. Mist face with water (I use a simple blue glass bottle with a pump spray top–got it off Amazon. Only mist lightly.). Then apply two pumps of the HA serum. Let that dry down thoroughly before adding the night cream. (It seems like using minimal product–just 2 pumps–also helped combat pilling. I like this. It lessened the pilling, and the bottle lasted longer.) YMMV, but letting ALL of the products dry down and settle in, plus lightly misting with water, AND only applying 2 pumps helped me with the pilling. So did using the serum at night vs. daytime. I'm very happy with the results from the serum. 50 y/o, slightly oily complexion, some dry spots, tend to get clogged pores; tried this serum to stop looking like a ghoul during Zoom meetings. I'm very happy with the results, and will continue to use this one. I've been using this moisturizer for almost 2 years now, and besides the price point, I genuinely love how it leaves a deep dewy glow on my face other moisturizers I've tried just can't quite replicate, unless they're 4-5 times the price, and even then I find myself still reaching for this one. Over time I've seen a real difference in the dryness and lines on my forehead and crows feet around my eyes. This is from the serums I'm using too of course, not just the moisturizer, as I've been working hard at putting together a really effective skincare routine and reading lots of ingredient reviews, but I can tell this moisturizer plays a big part in the overall results I'm seeing. The other great thing here, besides it leaving my skin dewy (without being too shiny), is it seems to penetrate the deeper layers of skin as I've noticed towards the end of the day when I'm on my way home from work, my skin still feels pretty soft. I will say, the one drawback to this moisturizer is it takes about 15-20 seconds to get it to melt and blend into my skin, so you've got to be aware of this, and work it a bit as it's white cast galore at first, even on my fair skin. It doesn't instantly melt like many lotions, it does disappear with no white cast after the 15-20 seconds and getting warmer from the natural warmth of your skin. So don't give up lol – it's worth it! Recently I've discovered a fantastic hack for the longer blending time though! I decided to try out the Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% (by the Ordinary as well) as my last step before applying the moisturizer. It's an antioxidant serum with a bit of an oily finish, but not too oily. And oh wow! It makes the consistency just a tiny bit more slick to where it instantly blends, almost no initial white cast, and the finished results look even more glowy and supple. It's hard to describe other than fantastic! I sometimes find myself touching my face because I can't believe how soft it is. Yes that's mine! Also, a little goes a long way here. My most recent bottle of this stuff, the larger 3.3 oz/100mL size, lasted over a year and a half of use at frequency of ~4 days/week. You really only need just barely a pea-size amount to create ample moisture and to seal everything in my experience. It also doesn't have an unpleasant smell like some "unscented" products, it's a truly neutral scent which I appreciate as it's the last layer, besides sunscreen, and I find myself unable to use products with any strong smell on my face. I bought this product in January and now we're in July and it's still not finished! I use it 2x daily and a little goes a veryyy long way. First, I apply the Ordinary serums (HA 2% + B5, Niacinamide 10% + Zinc, and Caffeine 5%) and then the moisturizer. Together, they've done wonders to my skin. I have been diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis and it was SO difficult to find a clean, non-toxic and affordable moisturizer. I tried so many different brands and wasted so much money looking for just-the-perfect moisturizer and I can honestly say this is it. Knock on wood, this product works like a charm on my skin. It keeps my skin hydrated and smooth and gives it a healthy glow. It also reduces the redness from the dermatitis so it keeps my skin calm and not irritated at all. I use it on my face, neck and hands. Don't apply too much of it though. I wait a few minutes and then add an SPF cream afterwards. My only wish is that the Ordinary adds SPF to this product because it is the ONLY missing thing – other than that, it really is wonderful. Will buy it again and again and again.srhsrhsrh

I have to say every time I use this my skin is screwed up for a week afterwards. I bought an entire regimen from theordinary and it just doesn't work. I'm not going to leave a review for every piece but none of them work at all. None of them are useful and all of them dry out my skin, give me a horrible texture, oiliness and mad blackheads. Almost all of them irritate my skin in some way, and I do not get that issue with any skin product I've tried in my life, no matter how cheap. I'm only going to bother reviewing this one because it's the worst one, but I honestly would recommend staying far far away from this entire line. I don't really have the same issues that others have, I have no problem warming it up in my hands, it applies evenly and the absorption is fine. I don't find it gives any type of white film. The issue is it just actively makes your skin worse. Face does not feel moisturised after usage, and then in a few hours you have oilier skin than you did as a teen. It does say it's oil free but you would never guess it from the feel of it. It kind of feels like a lube instead of a moisturiser. I'm a guy who just buys whatever is on offer so I've used many and I've never seen anything like this. Maybe I'm ignorant and this is what more expensive moisturisers are like? I genuinely feel like I must be doing something wrong, but frankly I've never needed instructions for a moisturiser and have always had better results, and if it's possible to apply a moisturiser incorrectly that's just another reason to give it 1 star tbqh. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this product! I have combination/oily skin and do suffer from hormonal acne around especially my chin area. I can’t really speak for the one star reviews as this is simply an amazing product for an outstanding price. It could be the way they are applying (or misapplying) the product, could be skin allergies or sensitivities etc. and to that I say it is simply trial-and-error and finding out what works and what doesn’t. For me, when I find something that works well- I stick with it! I would really recommend at least giving this product a try, for this price it is a STEAL, I wouldn’t sleep on it. A few thousand five star reviews can’t all be wrong!

I have some fine lines and wrinkles, and after using this- it plumps those areas right up! No lie. My forehead wrinkles and fine lines practically vanish, and even deeper, more stubborn ones between my eyebrows fill out some! My skin just drinks this up. It is extremely thick and concentrated- a little bit of this goes a longggg way. I wouldn’t suggest just globbing or slathering this particular serum on.

It is very hydrating/plumping and the B5 helps immensely with irritation, so it is VERY nice to use on the same evenings that I have used products containing chemical exfoliants such as glycolic acids, AHA’s or BHA’s in general. It definitely calms my skin, and layering this serum with my AHA/BHA or retinols definitely prevents my skin from drying out or acting up afterwards, as those products can tend to be irritating.

How I use it at night: I first wash, exfoliate, gently pat my skin dry, and then tone my skin. The exfoliation and toning are a crucial step, and help to “prime” my skin to best absorb the serums and moisturizers to follow. I use a glycolic acid serum first, and allow it to dry down and absorb. Then, I apply a couple drops of this serum, again letting it dry down. Next, I apply Sunday Riley’s A+ High dose retinoid serum. Finally, I apply a small amount of a thick emollient cream (Like Farmacy’s Honey Halo). This product blends well with my other serums and creams and using it as a layer between my AHA’s and moisturizer keeps my skin from experiencing any intense side effects from the AHA’s.

During the daytime, under makeup this stuff is an excellent primer and has some grip. It also makes your skin look fabulously dewy and glowing. The key is to wash your face and tone. I have very sensitive skin and have to be careful with the products I use. I get the odd hormonal spot here and there, but the main issue I have is with dull and tired looking skin. Also now I’m in my late 20s, I’ve started seeing lines in my forehead and a change in my skin. I’ve been using this for a week now and can already see a difference. Email the ordinary with a photo of your skin and your problem areas and they send a breakdown of the best skincare routine for you! Every skincare routine should be tailored to your specific skin type, but for someone with combination sensitive skin, this has worked perfectly for me. If you have the same skin type, this may work for you. But would suggest emailing the ordinary as they’re the experts. I’ve been using the ordinary squalane cleanser. If I’m wearing makeup, I always double cleanse. Then I dab my face with a towel a few times, so my face is still damp. Next I use the ordinary Nianamide 10% + zinc. After that, I use the natural moisturising factors + Ha from the ordinary. At night I do the same thing, but put the ordinary retinol 1% in squaline after the niacinamide and before the natural moisturiser factors. I don’t use retinol in the day as it attracts UV rays. I made the mistake of cleansing in the shower then following this routine. My face went really blotchy, so have just been following my routine when I get out the shower and haven’t had any issues. Probably just me though as my skin is really sensitive. I was really nervous using so many products on my face as I’m used to just cleansing and moisturising. But for someone with sensitive skin, I’d highly recommend the ordinary products!Lilly

Ok, maybe it's not something I should'nt Do, but I use it around my eyes and around my mouth. I then use the caffeine one around my eyes and seal everything with a peptides eyes-mouth cream. I was a bit self-conscious about my hollow eyes and I was starting to develop fine lines around my lips (barely noticeable, but boy was I not ready for it at 37) and it really plumped everything up within 2 weeks of use which really surprised me. Also, the first time I used their products I would breakout like crazy even after a 6 Weeks period. Then I decided to vive it a second shot and again started to breakout. But then, stupid me realized I was also scrubbing my face really harshly with a washcloth when washing and that was obviously the cause. I don't breakout anymore and I should mention I have acne prone, very sensitive skin. At first, I also found it made my skin feel very tight and my fine lines worst, but thanks to some review, I now apply it to damp skin which is a game changer. And that less is more. A few drops is enough. The 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish the company would provide more detailed instructions like the damp skin thing which I learned through review. I have never used any product from this brand and this one sadly is a NO for me. PROS: – It doesn’t leave a white cast. – Hydrating cream, with a nice texture (not too thin, not too thick) – It has glycerin,squalane and hyaluronic acid which are great hydrators. – It smells very good. I like scented formulas although it is not necessary. – Clean at Sephora CONS: – This cream doesn’t work with my skincare. It peels. This is a problem for me because I am not going to stop using my skincare, focused on anti-aging, to use this sunscreen. I would use another one on my face and leave this one for my arms. – It is a chemical sunscreen. I don’t have sensitive skin so I can use it but I can’t apply it around my eyes because it makes me tear up and I want sunscreen on that area because it is the most delicate. – If you apply the recommended amount for any sunscreen to be effective at the advertised SPF (1 teaspoon for the face), your will end up with a greasy looking face. It may have been part of the reason for the sunscreen to peel on me. – It has a lot of silicons, which I suspect are another reason for this cream not to work with my skincare. – It has a couple of essential oils. They give the cream a nice minty citrusy smell that I love but it is not necessary. They may be irritating for some so they should just not add them as they don’t provide any sun protection benefits. – I find it a little pricey. I’m sorry that this is a little long but I want to do this product justice because it’s worth it (and I’m a babbler). I have been struggling with dry, sensitive skin for many years now. My skin is dry year round because I just do not produce very much oil. I have spent so much money on expensive skincare trying to find a moisturizer that will work with no luck. I can’t even use Cerave on my face because something in it irritates me. I had recently purchased one of those Sephora $10 deluxe sample bags and realized this was one of the products included in it so I decided to browse the reviews here and they convinced me to try it. No joke, the very first time I put this on my face the heavens opened up and angels started singing! Well, ok that didn’t happen but you get the picture! Immediately my face felt more hydrated than it has for a good 20 years now. I immediately ordered a bigger jar. Not once has this made my sensitive skin sting, even when applying it after I dermaplane with a surgical 10 blade. The instant and long term effects have been nothing short of amazing. I have not had dry patches on my face at all. That in itself is crazy. It plays well with my tretinoin when others make it pill, It absorbs fast enough to be used morning and night, it works wonders with my moringa oil and I have recently added polyglutamic acid with no problems as well. It could be the squalene in it that my skin has needed all these years, not sure, but I cannot believe I waited this long to try this miracle moisturizer. If you have also struggled with dry skin for a long time, I highly recommend giving this moisturizer a try. The texture itself is wonderfully light and non sticky which makes you wonder how on earth it is so moisturizing but it really is. This serum is fantastic! It absorbs quickly and very light. I have used it for nearly two months and my face is hydrated, smooth, and my pores seem smaller. A little goes a long way. I have stopped using expensive youth serums because of this product. I use it morning/night on clean skin. In the morning I use a tinted spf moisturizer over it and my make-up applies smooth. I bought this because I’ve been suffering with peri menopausal naughty skin and I’ve been suffering from Pustular Rosacea consequently. My skin has truly been a nightmare for at least 6 months. Dry, flaky and red. I did some research and realised that I needed to moisturise with something that’s got very few ingredients in and so I chose this. I’ve only used it three days and I’m amazed! Now I have oily sensitive skin so I’m always a little wary with new products but this stuff has really agreed with my skin. This is the first morning I’ve woken up in a long time and been pleased to look at my skin. It looks healthy and no angry red dry areas. My review will be split into two parts: packaging and usage: Let’s start with packaging, I like it a lot. Simple yet informative, not too much things to read and all kept nice and tidy. Green and blue are also perfect for white background. When I have tried it on my hand it gave that silky smooth feeling and refreshment straight away. I must say it could as well be top of the shelf product by that time, however I then applied to my face as instructed on the back. Unfortunately, I experienced allergic reaction! Only near my eyes, they got slightly swollen and become very watery. Strange as I have not applied anywhere near eye for that test. I had to wash my entire face to get allergy off. I re-applied it to hands and again all was very good and smooth. When applied into small area around my face, allergic reaction had re-occurred, so I had to terminated further tests. I was never known to have reaction to any other cosmetics, but it may as well be the sensitivity of my face that this cream is activating. I really like this moisturizer but I can’t find it where I live anymore. But they claim it hasn’t been discontinued so I will review it anyway. It really does what it says: hydrates. I’ve learned the hard way that there’s a difference between hydration and moisture and occlusion. My skin was in desperate need of the former after a long and ignorant battle with cystic hormonal acne in which I threw everything at it that so much as hinted at being able to help. This lovely tube came to my rescue. It sinks in like a dream and leaves my skin feeling soft and dewy with no shine or residue. My only complaint is the tube didn’t last very long. If, like me, you’re having trouble finding this in stores, Versed (Target’s new skincare line) has the best dupe I’ve found. It’s called Dew Point and comes in the prettiest mint green tube.kimmie.b

There are a lot of serums out there that don’t do much of anything. This one is different. I put it on when my face is feeling in special need of care — on top of my evening retinol treatment or in the morning if my skin is feeling in need of extra gentle care. And it does the job! It works beautifully with the EltaMD AM and PM moisturizers. In fact this is a product line where the products work better in combination with other products in the line. I was struggling with a few very dry, flaky patches on my face (my chin and on the side of my nose) along with small pimples on the end of my nose. I thought it was an age/hormone thing. This is my first First Aid Beauty products and I must say I really like it! So much that it will be a permanent skincare product in my routine. I love oat products, this one has colloidal oat, wild oat and honey. It works on all skin types, mine being combination. Currently halfway through my 3rd bottle! This stuff is great to put right after you wash your face, when its still damp, and before you apply your serums/treatments. My skin get dry easily, especially after washing, so this is great to avoid that tightened feeling. IMO, it's better than the Laneige Cream Skin. I received this toner in one of my monthly subscription boxes from BoxyCharm and I'm absolutely blown away at how well this toner performs. I have really dry thirsty skin during the Winter months and nothing I would buy ever helped it, I would apply loads of moisturizer but a couple of hours later I'd be re-applying it because my skin would loose the moisturizer feeling and go right back to feeling dry and like I hadn't used a moisturizer at all and I could see dry patches all over my face and my pores were horrible and huge well that is until this Amazing Perfect toner came into my life! I've been a long time fan of the hope in a jar moisturizer, almost since it's beginning, and I have to say the new 'multi-tasking' version has been by far, for me, the worst experience. I have to admit that when I purchased this from QVC, I didn't pay attention enough attention to recognize that this was not the the 'renewed' I always buy, but decided to try it anyway since I had already run out. Within a few days, my skin appeared dull and colorless even while wearing makeup. The product went on the same, but seemed to disappear almost immediately leaving a dry, flaky feel to my skin. At first, I kept thinking I forgot to apply it and would put keep putting more on only to experience the same dryness. My pores look larger and there is sort of an artificial like shine that only highlights them. How I wish for the original formula! I think the intentions were good, but the problem with multi-tasking and the added acids is that if you're already using other products for those other 'tasks' (which I do) then there may be over exposure. All I wanted was a moisturizer. I am still able to find the original at a few places and hopefully that will buy time to find another line altogether. In the meantime, I will try to reach out to QVC to see if they will issue a refund if I have already used it for almost a week. Please bring back the original formula..baphilli

I've always been curious about the Philosophy brand and was excited for the chance to try out their Hope in a Jar moisturizer. I have a couple perfumes that I love from their brand, but this skin care item is the first I've gotten to try. First off I have to say that I love the names of their products. They are both catchy and memorable. I love the packaging and displaying it in my bathroom which is always a plus when purchasing a skin product. The moisturizer has a lot of great skin ingredients like glycolic and hyaluronic acids which being in my early 30s is a must have. The moisturizer went on wonderfully and left my skin feeling plump and moisturized. I didn't feel like it left my skin feeling tacky or oily. It was a great moisturizer both in the morning before I put on my makeup and after washing my face at night. The only thing I would possibly like to see improved is the smell. I think it either needs to be completely scent free or they need a better scent. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't my favorite either. I think that if you are looking for a solid moisturizer this one is definitely worth picking up and giving a try!Njohnson8822

This “Smooth-Glow Hope in a Jar (and the one before this—the “Renewed Hope in a Jar”) both suck compared to the true, original Hope in a Jar. They don’t hold a candle to it. Ever since the company Cody bought out Philosophy, the products have gone downhill, fast. The version of Hope in a Jar when Christina Carlino created, owned and ran the company was the Holy Grail. It was a perfect, whipped yet rich moisturizer with the best most clean scent, and most importantly, it delivered a glow to your skin (the product itself even had a slight shimmer/glow to it). It was seriously reminiscent of a glorious “post-O” radiant glow on your skin. I never even needed makeup when I wa saying the OG Hope in a Jar. Yeah, it separated occasionally, but all you had to do was give it a good shake and it was good to go for months (and the only reason mine last more than a month was because I lived it so much I would buy the 4- or even 8-ounce sizes of it). I had acne prone skin at the time and that version actually cleared by skin up (combined with Purity cleanser and weekly Microdelivery Peel (2 step). Then as my skin aged into my mid to late 30s, it still perfectly addressed my slightly aging, more combo/dry skin. It was a miracle product. All of the “Hope” products since Cody bought the company suck in comparison. This particular version of HIAJ left my skin feeling sticky and with a film on top of it that never so soaked in. The OG Hope—my skin just drank it in. This one leaves my skin looking dull, pores actually look larger, makeup just lays on top of it looking bad, and the worst part is it makes me break out. I know it was this product too because I stopped using it for weeks, my skin cleared, tried it again, and within 2 days it was pimple city—location: my whole face. I’ve talked to sooo many people—women and men—who feel and think the same way about the fact that Cody changing the original formula—it’s a tragedy. They’re just too bummed to be bothered to write a review because they don’t think Cody will ever bring the Philosophy original formula for Hope in a Jar back. Sadly, they are probably right. I continue to mourn its passing. I certainly won’t be buying this version again and I think I’ve given up on trying any future “versions” of HIAJ unless I start to hear that the OG original is back—the one with a glorious glow :). I think a lot of people who think this product is good never actually experienced the original, so they don’t even know what they’re missing. Philosophy, I’d love to give you my money, but not for this disappointing product. I will keep buying Purity cleanser though; I’m grateful that’s still very good.Kokodubbs

Okay so one of my biggest part of my skin care routine is the moisturizer. It is so hard for me to find a product that is good for my skin and doesn’t clog my pores and works all in one. But this right here has snagged me. It has not broke mg skin out or clogged my pores which is huge for me. It also is so lightweight feeling and my skin just drinks this stuff up. It has helped with my dry spots/areas in my face which is a plus because usually I have a heck of a time finding stuff that helps in little time. My skin took a hit this winter so it was nice getting this voxbox in to try out and I am glad I found this product because I absolutely will be buying this when I run out. Now I do want to give this a full month to see if my skin takes to it for good from here on. Sometimes products had done well for me and then boom my skin goes haywire. But usually first couple uses I see things changing and like I said with this so far so good. This is super affordable, clean/vegan ingredients which is amazing especially for this cheap of a price point. I cannot say it enough give this stuff a try. I have combination/ breakout prone skin and this hasn’t caused my skin any irritation or change.samantha.k

This is a great moisturizer. I use it on very dry parts of my face- mostly my nose and forehead. Before using this, my nose was crusty and would flake during the day, but it was also sensitive to some products. I lathered this on my nose for about 3 weeks now and my nose is so much more moisturized and doesn’t get little bumps! It has no smell, which I appreciate since my skin can react to fragrance. There is a lot of product in the bottle-it will last you quite awhile and I still have more than half the bottle left after 3 weeks. I highly recommend giving this a try if you’re looking for a lightweight moisturizer for sensitive skin. The only thing I will say is that I still prefer the Happy Hydration moisturizer cream from elf. If you have dry skin like me, that one is much better to help hydrate the rest of the face. This one is more for sensitive skin, but I still really enjoyed this product along with the rest of the Pure Skin line.maddie13452

I received this as a free sample as part of the elf beauty squad, and I’m very pleasantly surprised! The cream is a little thick, but I only notice this feeling on my upper lip and as soon as it absorbs it’s very comfortable. That said, it takes a while to do so and almost feels like you’re moving the product around rather than it absorbing into your skin at first. You may have to massage (gently!!!) for a bit. I have oily skin so I’m not too fond of the greasy look- think sunscreen- but I love a healthy glow-from-within, moisturized look. This gives exactly that! Not ultra hydrating so I don’t know if I’d suggest it for dry skin, but it has a very nice finish and does not accentuate my pores. It’s almost soft matte. It’s also got niacinamide, which I’m always happy to see in a product! Although I’m not sure how much or how effective it will be for lighting hyperpigmentation. I have acne so my skin can be sensitive from spot treatment from time to time and this product felt like heaven to apply!! I felt no sensitivity as a person who will get tingles from something as simple as sunscreen, moisturizer, or cleanser.janaannie
