I can't feel any product in my hair at all and it's never sticky or stiff. I've never found anything that works as well for my hard to hold hair. I use a curling iron to create loose waves that this spray defines the curls well but I can still get a brush through my hair easily. I spray it liberally on clean damp hair and then let my hair air dry overnight. I really love this stuff, but from reading the reviews I see where other people thought it was going to do much more than it actually does.. which is probably from the wording on the bottle. I've used this stuff since a hairdresser put it on my 14 year-old self and my over bleached hair. Back then, I didn't even read the bottle I just knew I could straighten the life out of my hair then spritz this on and it would look semi healthy again. So I had researched reviews on this product and they were all so positive. Now keep in mind this product is in the 35.00 range for a leave in anti Frizz spray. Well I was excited for a it promised to offer. I mean if or 35.00 it must control frizz and offer smoothing elements. Nope. I have used other less expensive products and got better results. Because I spent so much on the bottle I use it in combination with other products even though it doesn't add to the team. I can't just dump 35.00 but it provides no benefit for any frizz control and no smoothing or shine benefits. Got this product in a salon. I'm so confused as how others rave about this product- it does the complete opposite of what it's supposed to do to my hair. Every time I've used it, it makes my hair MORE knotted and dry, not sleek or soft at all. It's easier to comb through my wet hair wit nothing on it compared to when I use this product. I'm also careful not to use too much- but my hair feels dry and almost dirty afterward. I'll use this product, get disappointed, then store it away. I purchased this to deal with my frizzy coarse hair that has been misbehaving badly with all the wet weather in Sydney. The product claims that the styling effect will last up to 3 days or until the next wash. The instructions say to use on damp or wet hair so I use it while drying my hair after a wash. It is heat-activated, so you need a hair dryer, and preferably finish with a flat iron. On my thick long hair I need about 15-20 sprays and comb through. The product does assist with heat protection and styling, and my hair does look smooth and straight as it usually does after using a flat iron. This one was the cherry on top of the cake when it comes to making my hair oily. It was hard to wash out the next cycle and wow it sure made my smell like outdated, expired old lady perfume. Just no, whatever this scent is, they should change it and remove the ingredients that leave the film. I used this as well as the brand’s silk blowout spray so I’m not sure how much of the result is this product or that product BUT this spray smells so so good and makes my hair feel super super soft. The way it sprays isn’t very good though, it kind of shoots out and hits just one spot. You are probably better off spraying it in your hands and working it into your hair. When i bought this i honestly thought because it was a cheaper brand that it wouldn't work as good but boy was i wrong!. This does exactly what it says and it gas a super strong hold.. So beware if that's not what your looking for. The humidity part had surprisingly kept my hair completely from getting frizzy or dry looking or even sweaty in any way whatsoever. I found an old one on my mothers dresser. I'm talking probably 2012 lol. Everyone keeps complaining about these formula changes and I hope not! This stuff takes my 2c waves and really defined them and gives a wet look. It made my front pieces and back of neck spiral when I put it up. Really gives curls bounce. It does give a wet look/ so if you want to scrunch the crunch you can do that too. I like to re wet it with thayers witch hazel or rice water that I keep In my fridge and car. I've used the AG Firewall for flat ironing, and I think it's a bit nicer for making your hair smooth and silky after you've flat ironed. This would be a runner up to the AG Firewall. It arrived within one day as I selected next day shipping and like all beauty baby orders packaging was good despite this the inside of the lid had broken off even with this said the lid just wasn’t good at all it wouldn’t stay on. THE ACTUAL PRODUCT — I tend to have very frizzy hair and not very smooth nor shiny hair so I followed the directions and put it on… first time I put it all over and it made the tops of my hair in the scalp immediately greasy and like a thickening layer of grease and I did not see the frizz decrees despite that it did make the rest of my hair smooth and shiny as it said it would do. I have extremely thick coarse hair. I get a keratin treatment twice a year and this product really gets me through the in between bad hair days. It is pricey but since it can be used sparingly I can live with the price. Makes my hair silky and shiny and protects against heat. It also seems to maintain my color longer. Okay, so as a curly girl, when it comes to my wash and go I frequently encounter a lot of frizz when I fluff and separate my curls. I'm from TX too and I must say this is some kind of magic. It's a shine enhancer-frizz reducer-texturizer plus static remover. I can't really explain it but I can see the difference if I don't use it and I can now never be without it. It's similar to Moroccan Oil's Dry texturizing spray but way better and the smell is way better tooacadia
I have extremely wavy/curly thick hair, that's very long and course, and for the most part, will stay under control when I straighten it. I was at the pool today, and due to the extreme heat and a bit of water splashing on my hair, my former straightened hair was curly underneath and my scalp was wet from sweat. I only wash my hair once or twice a week, and was in a rush to fix it, so no time to wash, and had to work with what I had. So, I quickly dried any dampness out of my hair and ran a straightener through it. It was still a bit frizzy because it has been ridiculously hot in PA, so I gave this product a try. In seconds my hair went from straight, but a bit frizzy and puffy, to soft and sleek! I was completely amazed! The only downfall is the fact that I'm not a fan of aerosol products and the spray was everywhere. I had to walk out of the bathroom in order to avoid major inhalation. But, it definitely did the job! Will definitely be purchasing when this bottle runs out! Can't wait to see how it works in the winter with static!Kim
This is divine. I will do without a lot of products to save money but this is a must-have. I have frizzy fine hair and it is poofy in humidity but one light layer of this spray and it is perfect. Love the scent – my hair feels luxurious after this. Also makes the ends perfectly piecey. Love.Acadia
