I usually clean any floor surfaces by hand but as I've gotten older the thought of my hands, knees and back being sore for days appeals less and less and I dilike using regular.mops and buckets as the water has to be changed every few wipes making it seem like a even bigger chore.. I usually pre sweep twice as I have 2 cats, a dog and 2 budgies so fur and feathers are my pet peeve when mopping. Any heavy dried food spills I'll pretreat with a regular spray so it's damp and easier to remove once I use the wet jet. Firstly I usually splurge for the heavy duty cleaning pads by wetjets a pack of these runs about 6-7 dollars I prefer these as they have a scourer type line for any stubborn messes. I'll clean in sections across the kitchen working my way towards the lounge and edging of my kitchen. The spray comes out of two spots covering a large area that you hit a button with by the handle and slowly mop. I usually find to get a good clean I have to use two pads one for the dirty first clean then 2nd for a quick wipe over.to make sure all dirt is removed. While it cleans and cleans most messes well the wet jet doesn't get as close to the edge as I would like. And it isn't as good as a hand scrub clean. Assembled my Swiffer mop, put on one of the enclosed heavy duty cleaning pads and started cleaning my floor. The furnished solution has a very pleasant odor and made my kitchen floor sparkle! I only had to use 1 heavy duty pad and that was probably because I vacuumed my floor first. It dried quickly, not sticky or streaked anywhere. So very happy with this purchase! I bought this product as a kit several years back. Initially, I thaught it would make my life a little easier. Instead of having to mop my floor with a traditional mop and the bucket of soapy warm water not to mention the clean up after of the mop itself and dirty water bucket. This seemed like a dream come true at first as an all in one solution. The idea of having both the disposable mop pads and cleansing solution all in one system sounds so convenient.but …remember the old saying “ if it’s sounds too good to be true, it probably is”; …after using it for some time I can honestly say the ease of use is great however, it does not come close the deep clean you get with a traditional mop. In my experience it barely even cleanses the surface and I have have to physically push and exert myself with the wet jet for just that. Perhaps they redesigned it over the last year or two and it works better but in my opinion it does not clean your floors as good as it should. It has promise but in real life doesn't live up to its price. My first mop squirted inadvertently, no triggering, as I pushed it back and forth. It seemed that flexing the pole moving the mop back and forth caused the squirts. This causes drops of fluid to be cast out on areas that are already done and you have to go back over the area (very lightly so as not to squirt more). Or you don't notice it till later when they dry and are visible. Bona was nice enough to replace that mop but alas, the replacement is now doing the same thing. Also, I'm now having issues where the bottle won't click/lock back into the mop after refilling with fluid. Also, also, the rubber corner seems like a good idea but the pads have no spot there to stick to. This causes them to flop over or fold at each front corner. Good idea, bad design. You can purchase more cleaning solution by Bona or add a different solution that you prefer. When the included solution ran out, I replaced the bona solution with another cleaning agent. The mop is very lightweight and easy to use. It has good maneuverability where I can get into more difficult spaces or use the mop on surfaces that are vertical to the floor. A few minor issues is that the tank can be a little tricky to pull out of the socket (I could just be weak) but it takes a little strength. The cap on the refillable tank took me a minute to figure out and again took some strength for me to open. The pad is reusable so I just wash after each use. The floors dry quick and they look pretty clean without streaks or cloudiness. A few times it has not done well lifting some real tough spots but for quick cleaning and disinfecting it’s great.stacy.s

I usually read reviews before buying things, but I was in Canadian Tire and simply grabbed this, thinking RubberMaid does at least some basic QA of products. I was wrong. As many other reviews mention, the engineering and/or parts in this product are faulty. The spray mechanism broke after the 2nd use, and started leaking. After a while it was simply POURING out so I could not use it. As the spray is built into the mop, you cannot manually remove and spray the bottle either. The item is simply plastic waste, and a lot of it. I was hoping to use it for years. This item has not been removed or from Canadian Tire after a bunch of obviously bad reviews.Red Ranger
Over the last 4 years, I’ve have owned and used 3 Reveal Spray Mops. There are many reasons to love this mop. It is easy to use and light weight. The soft cloth microfiber pad is reusable, washable and does not leave streaks on laminate floors. The refill bottle is convenient to use with your own cleaning solutions, 2-3 tblsp. of a gentle cleaner (no ammonia) with water. With some design modifications, this spray mop would be super great (!). Yes, I would buy a fourth one if available, and be willing to pay more for improvements to the basic design. Problems I’ve encountered: the trigger mechanism in the handle stopped working on 2 of the mops. The warranty replaced these mops. One of the bottles wouldn’t disperse solutions and now a leaking bottle issue has begun on my 3rd mop leaving puddles on the floor. I’ve tried a popular competitor product and find it wanting. Their throw-away mopping pads leave streaks and I had to use 2 pads each time. Their priority solution/bottle doesn’t allow using your own cleaning solution and I think their cleaner is too harsh on my laminate flooring. And you have to use 4 batteries to squirt the solution on the floor. Because of these 3 points, it’s going to be more expensive to continue using. My conclusion, if Rubbermaid were to rethink their Reveal Spray Mop design a little bit, they would have a BIG winner. After maybe 25 uses, I discovered that the handle of the mop was slowly coming apart. I dismantled the handle, found out what the problem was (cracked plastic dowel) and fixed it with plastic glue and screws. Yesterday the handle broke again and this time I had to fix it with a wooden dowel, plastic glue and screws. My tendency in life is to fix things without having to throw away in the garbage all the time. The mop works fine now but why do you sell such cheaply made product? Rubbermaid could make it much more solid (use metal parts for assembling not plastic) and garantee it for 5 years at least and people would be happy to pay $10 more for a product that would be solid and reliable. My biggest concern about this product is that the functionality of the mop is completely useless. The Velcro that is used to attach the mop heads to the device has ripped off after only a couple of months of light usage. I've tried super gluing the Velcro To no end and so every time I try to remove the mop pads I end up pulling the Velcro off with it….additionally because the product is not very weighted where the mop attaches to the device you get an uneven clean. there is more pressure on the center of the pad than there is on the edges so its kind of a light gloss over the floor… so you end up taking more time to get a more even clean. You can just tell when you remove the map pads that the the sides of the mop pad are never quite as dirty as the center is. I was so excited to move to a reusable pad system. On first cleaning, I noticed that even though I used 3 pads, my floors didn’t feel as clean as when I use the popular throw away wet pad system. The head also came off a couple of times when at a low angle. No biggie, though I did notice the plastic where it connects was showing signs of stress/lightening like it was weakening/had been pulled at the joint. But on my second time using it (after avoiding it to use the disposable system a couple of times), the spray trigger stopped working while I was spraying the floor. I was hoping I’d have a different experience than other reviewers. This is initially a great mop! It sprays a good amount, is easy to use and I love that the cleaning solution is unscented and doesn't seem to leave a lot of residue. It's a fun mop to use! Also the solution doesn't leak out like another brand mop I bought a couple years back. The problem is it breaks quickly. I am still on the first bottle of cleaner, maybe half way through, and it's having a problem where the bottle disengages slightly so it barely barely sprays any cleaning solution. If you pop it out and snap it back in, it works great for one or two sprays, then goes back to almost nothing. So if you are mopping a whole room, it's incredibly frustrating to keep having to pop it out and snap it back in. Also the velcro holding the cleaning pad in place is ripping off of the mop. It is too lightweight, and you really need a mop head with thick tassels to clean floors right… So if your buying this for a simple house clean I can say ti works great. if your a commercial cleaner, it wont help you.d.
We have replaced all of the flooring in our home with waterproof LVP which meant we needed a way to mop nearly 2500 sq ft. I couldn't continue to use the disposable cleaning pads which had been the primary way we mopped. I have never felt a mop and bucket of increasingly dirty water was actually getting the floor clean after the first section which is why the disposable pads were appealing. But now, the cost, and more disturbing to me; the waste, of throwing away all the pads week after week was not something I could reconcile when doing the floors throughout the whole house. So, I researched and finally decided on this mop with a stack of the washable pads. Yes, the upfront expense was more than I really wanted to spend, but when you add up the cost of the kind you are throwing away over a year it is easier to justify the cost. The first thing I noticed is how much easier it is to attach the pads. Throw it on the floor, hold the mop over it and lower it onto the pad. DONE! The handle is so much more sturdy, however that sturdiness comes at the cost of added weight. I'm hoping this heavy mop will firm up those saggy upper arms that age has bestowed upon me. But the big bonus here is that the wider mop head makes the job go faster because each stroke covers more area. Now that I've been using the set-up for a while, I no longer use the reservoir for cleaning solution. Instead, I find it is easier for me to wet the pads before attaching. In areas with extra soil (like drips in the kitchen) get sprayed with an all purpose cleaner before running the mop over them. I switch out the pad for a clean one as needed, then they all go into the washing machine. I do not put the pads in the dryer, I just hang them and they dry pretty quickly. If I ever have to replace the handle, I will not buy this one with the reservoir since it just adds weight to the mop, but I will definitely stay with the Rubbermaid brand.P.

I usually clean any floor surfaces by hand but as I've gotten older the thought of my hands, knees and back being sore for days appeals less and less and I dilike using regular.mops and buckets as the water has to be changed every few wipes making it seem like a even bigger chore.. I decided to spring for one of these wetjets just so I could do a touch-up clean weekly without scrubbing on my hands and knees Firstly it's so quick and eassy to set up and you slide your bottle of wet jet solution into the hole for the mix untill it clicks and you are ready to go! I usually pre sweep twice as I have 2 cats, a dog and 2 budgies so fur and feathers are my pet peeve when mopping. Any heavy dried food spills I'll pretreat with a regular spray so it's damp and easier to remove once I use the wet jet. Firstly I usually splurge for the heavy duty cleaning pads by wetjets a pack of these runs about 6-7 dollars I prefer these as they have a scourer type line for any stubborn messes. I'll clean in sections across the kitchen working my way towards the lounge and edging of my kitchen. The spray comes out of two spots covering a large area that you hit a button with by the handle and slowly mop. I usually find to get a good clean I have to use two pads one for the dirty first clean then 2nd for a quick wipe over.to make sure all dirt is removed. While it cleans and cleans most messes well the wet jet doesn't get as close to the edge as I would like. And it isn't as good as a hand scrub clean. Easy to setup and start using. First of all, I thoroughly vacuumed my whole, tiled kitchen floor very well. Assembled my Swiffer mop, put on one of the enclosed heavy duty cleaning pads and started cleaning my floor. The furnished solution has a very pleasant odor and made my kitchen floor sparkle! I only had to use 1 heavy duty pad and that was probably because I vacuumed my floor first. It dried quickly, not sticky or streaked anywhere. So very happy with this purchase! I bought this product as a kit several years back. Initially, I thaught it would make my life a little easier. Instead of having to mop my floor with a traditional mop and the bucket of soapy warm water not to mention the clean up after of the mop itself and dirty water bucket. This seemed like a dream come true at first as an all in one solution. The idea of having both the disposable mop pads and cleansing solution all in one system sounds so convenient.but …remember the old saying “ if it’s sounds too good to be true, it probably is”; …after using it for some time I can honestly say the ease of use is great however, it does not come close the deep clean you get with a traditional mop. In my experience it barely even cleanses the surface and I have have to physically push and exert myself with the wet jet for just that. Perhaps they redesigned it over the last year or two and it works better but in my opinion it does not clean your floors as good as it should. I rarely write reviews or give a highest rating to anything, but I'm compelled to do so with this mop kit because it's exactly as described and more… here are some observations not listed in the description: The handle is sturdy (one-piece construction) and the height is good for my husband and me (5'6 and 6'0). The spray-trigger is ease to use, the amount of spray from a single pull of the trigger seems perfect, and so does the size of the mop pad. The mop head maneuvers smoothly on it's swivel. This mop is great. It has a little weight to it so it's easier to mop. My other mop is so lightweight that I had to push down to really scrub the floors. This also has a little scrubber that comes off the big pad. It scrubbed off quite a few stuck on hairballs with no problems. I had need for a mop that could clean-up in the kitchen quickly, as well as sterilize our bathroom floors. My husband is wheelchair bound, and we have male home care aids. Not only are there too many men in my bathrooms (and ladies, you know exactly what I'm talking about), but I do not want to be wiping those floors with my hands and disinfectant wipes. My biggest concern about this product is that the functionality of the mop is completely useless. The Velcro that is used to attach the mop heads to the device has ripped off after only a couple of months of light usage. I've tried super gluing the Velcro To no end and so every time I try to remove the mop pads I end up pulling the Velcro off with it….additionally because the product is not very weighted where the mop attaches to the device you get an uneven clean. there is more pressure on the center of the pad than there is on the edges so its kind of a light gloss over the floor… so you end up taking more time to get a more even clean. You can just tell when you remove the map pads that the the sides of the mop pad are never quite as dirty as the center is. I tried with bona I really did but I give up at this point time to upgrade to something better.Shay

You use your own solution for cleaning (I use thieves, pine sol, vinegar, whatever is needed for the occasion), put a couple tablespoons in the container, add water, and go. The pad washes up well, and I bought an extra so I could have one to put on immediately after removing the other so I wouldn't have to wait for it to be done in the wash. It washes great, scrubs well, and is great on my linoleum and finished hardwood floors. My husband also used a new pad to lay stain on our floors, and said it was better than the specialized tools usually used. He said it pushed the stain with a perfect coverage over the entire floor. I do really like this mop- I do have a few issues with it- the refill bottle doesn’t properly pop out and tends to leak, and the Velcro on the bottom has started coming off which is frustrating. However I do like the reusable pads and the refillable bottle better than my Swiffer! The hand pump is less convent than my other but I don’t mind it! I wish it had come with more pads than having to order more because they weren’t available in store! Overall though I love the mop! Use it daily!britni.b

I was really excited about purchasing this because it seems so much easier than dragging a mop and bucket around, but it doesn't meet my expectations at all. Not only does this drag over my hardwood floors and makes it hard to push, but it barely gets anything. It doesn't matter what type of cleaner I use with it, I don't get anywhere near the same results as I did the old fashioned way. Even if I concentrate on the area, the lightest stains still remain on my floors. The only positive for me is that with less water being used, everything does dry much quickeramy.j

Good concept but the sprayer literally sprays everywhere and can’t be adjusted. I mean it spreads forward (obviously that is fine) but it also sprays left and right and far. And high. I had such high hopes for this mop, only to have them dashed in about 8 days. The spot where the handle attaches to the head is just cheap plastic and the "nub" you push in to hold it to the head is the same cheap plastic and broke off while being used. It didn't get stuck on anything, I was on a straight flat surface and the head came off and the little piece landed on the mop head. The head won't stay on the handle without it, unless you do some rigging, leaving the mop useless. After only 8 days, I have to figure out how to keep the head on it.Karen
I've used O'Cedar spin mop, Swifter wet jet, the original Swifter mop and many others. I used this mop once to clean around 1800 sf of flooring (tile & wood). I wet the pad fist and used a multipurpose cleaner in the spray bottle which holds approximately 12 oz.. The mop did not leak. I've washed the pad and it remanded it good condition. You can use the pad dry or wet, which is great. The mop is not very sturdy but decent for the price. The only real dislike I have is the spray trigger and the wide spray nozzle. I have ordered additional pads for backup. If you like the Swifter wet jet this is comprable and will save $$$ long term.Gin
