This review will be broken down into two parts: Installation/Delivery & use of the product. Installation/Delivery: Firstly, I am so happy to currently be a member of the Total Tech Membership. As a result, I was able to get this bike for $500. That $500 included not only the bike, but also the delivery AND installation. I ordered the bike about a week ago and set up delivery/install for Friday 1.21.22. The two guys that came to complete the bike delivery and set up were AWESOME! I think we were their last delivery on Friday as they called and said they were driving back from Sheboygan then to Green Bay to pick up bike, then up to Door County. Even though I could tell they had a LONG day these two guys were EXCEPTIONAL. They came in brought the bike downstairs and happily went to work on putting it together. They got the whole thing together and rocking and rolling in about 40 minutes (totally worth me not doing it b/c I'm sure it would've taken me much longer). They gave me a tutorial on use and took everything away. Both of these guys deserve a TEN out of TEN for their efforts & hard work (even on a late Friday night). Thanks MUCH to them Use of Product: my wife did a ride yesterday on the bike and I used it this morning before work. The product is SUPER easy to use and it is VERY VERY QUIET (you can hardly hear it running). I love that they have user profiles that keep track of your workouts and overall distances that you bike (it allows 4 profiles). This bike has a great display for your workouts and it has plenty of choices for programs. It also has a fan and though I haven't used it yet it has a USB port and speakers for listening to what you'd like (I am an ear buds kind of guy). When using the bike it is VERY comfortable (I'm 5'10') and the seat moves with ease. This was the perfect last piece of exercise equipment we needed for our basement gym and it provides a good workout without major stress on the body. I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone who is on the fence about buying it. The bike (as you can see in the pictures) does not take up that much room compared to other pieces of cardio equipment as well which is a bonus.Brewerfan3
Schwinn has pulled a complete bait and switch on these units that to me borders on criminal. There USED to be (and is advertised) a free app that you could download to interact with these units as well as keep track of your workouts. However, that has gone the way of the dodo bird – extinct! The old app is still referenced in the owners/installation menu. The app has been removed from all app stores – no matter the device. What Schwinn has done is convert to a Peleton type structure where the app is now a subscription based service. Total money grab. If the app worked like Peleton, I could almost get behind it – not even close. There are only 3 or 4 free "rides" you can do with the new app but none are interactive to where the resistance varies based on the terrain. The app does make the video come to a halt if you stop pedaling – that's it. No matter what speed you pedal, the video just trundles along at the same speed. I did a quick review of the paid "rides" and they all said "video only" so even the paid app does NOT provide any interactive workout other than the view going by at a constant speed – unless you stop. No resistance changes, no speed changes, just a slow ride through the scenery. Also, the Bluetooth….would you expect that to link to your device and let you play music? NOPE!!! The only thing the Bluetooth will link to is the new app. I was told by Schwinn support that it would link to other apps but I tried 3 of what they recommended and no Bluetooth link unless on their app. Worthless. So, there is also a little fan on the console that has a vent similar to an A/C vent in a car. Great idea…..poor execution. The fan is mounted inside the plastic enclosure in such a way that when the air exits the front of the vent, it's blowing at a 45 degree angle and it shoots off to the left, doing a nice job of cooling your left forearm but not a whisp of air on your face. The seating position on this is also uncomfortable. The seat moves up and down at a steep angle – so much so that the instructions say to get out of the seat before adjusting. That is ridiculous. If they were being honest, they would say, "Our design is poor and you can't actually adjust the seat while seated". If you do decide to adjust the seat while actually seated (so you can tell where you need to set it – duh), you better have at least one foot FIRMLY on the pedal, ready to support most of your body weight. Otherwise, the seat will SLAM to the bottom and jam your back – yes, I did it! This is not like any recumbent bike Ive ever been on – the ergonomics just are NOT good. The angle is just not right. Excellent exercise bike at an excellent price. Free delivery was included and much appreciated that they moved the heavy box into the back room for me. Setup took about 90 minutes with assistance from a step-by-step YouTube video that made identifying parts and order a breeze (SEARCH: "Complete! Assemble Schwinn 270 Recumbent Exercise Bike") The bike is very comfortable and includes a console with lots of information and ability to setup custom programs. It's really not too bulky either and fits well along the wall of our room, so its pretty much out of the way. It has wheels in the front and a handle in the back to enable you to easily lift and move the bike. There is also a media shelf underneath the main display to hold your phone or tablet, and also a USB port to keep your device charged during your work out. The only negative thing you might have is that the Bluetooth capability is limited to using their app for downloading information about your session. You can't stream any music to its internal speakers at all. You will need to use the supplied 3.5mm input port and cable to attach to an MP3 player or phone that has a similar jack to play any music from the speakers. But you can just use your own phone or tablet along with wireless earbuds or headphones for better sound. The bike itself is very quiet when pedaling, which is nice. It has 25 levels of resistance which is plenty, and includes a heart rate monitor via the handles mounted on either side of the seat. A little nice addition is the cup holder/storage for your water bottle and/or remote control. Compare all this to the very similar (and more expensive) Nautilus R618 Recumbent bike that has almost identical features and made by the same company.BobG

After getting the bike assembled, which was not as easy as other reviews state, there was a grinding noise. We took the bike completely apart and found the belt was not on correctly. It took FOREVER to get it back on. After fixing that there was an issue with the tension cable. After working on this bike for a while it is finally usable. The price is fair, but its not worth much money in my opinion. Spend a little more on a better bike. The overall look of it is good but it doesn't function properly.Brittnee
This exercise bicycle is easy to use. I had a sore knee for weeks. I noticed soreness was less after first use. I have used the bike for 2 weeks and knee pain is gone. I was away for a week and mo issues with knee. I start using it again today. This bike displays distance and calories burned. The seat and back cushion are comfortable. I bought this bike several years ago, and have been very pleased with it. I am 97 years old, stagger around with a cane, and have very little strength. This bike is good for me. It's very easy to get on and off – the seat is chair height, with a back and arms making it secure to ride. Other configurations like upright bikes and rowing machines are difficult, and those requiring you to stand are impossible for me to use without falling. I ride this bike for 30 minutes a day at a resistance setting of 5 within the range of 1 – 8, about what I remember the resistance of peddling a real bike at about 10 -15 mph to be. The bike has a very good price; it has the essentials and no more. Other than occasionally tightening a few screws, I've had no maintenance problems. I have two criticisms: (1.) The adjustment for riders of different heights is cumbersome, and (2.) The little computer displays operating time, speed, distance, calories , and something I don't understand. It is difficult to zero the display at the start of a run; I just keep punching until it eventually does, and the calorie count never zeros, but who believes it anyway. The same is a problem with the scan function – just keep punching and eventually it starts working. For someone like me who needs aerobic exercise, but is too old and feeble to go running in the park, this is a great machine.William

I was SO excited to get this bike. I researched. Well, what I receieved for my whopping $209.00 was a cheap adapter. For what? I dont know. There is nothing on the adapter to even say what it is for. What I do know? A bike that should hold a 380lb person didn't fit in my mailbox. I reached out. No response. I applied for a refund online and have to send "it" back. This is a decent bike. The seat is comfortable and is very supportive. It really helps with my arthritic legs and I am steadily losing weight. The only con is the computer . I called the company because it was defective( the display for everything keeps going out to where only a piece or two of numbers would show, it would not let me reset any of the counters and the calories was stuck); the company sent another replacement computer. The second one is malfunctioning because of the odometer(it never resets while everything else does). Although the computer is giving me problems, the seat adjusts like it is supposed to for height, the pedal system still works well and the tension works. I think it is an ok buy thus far and I have had it since October 15, 2018.amy1
I initially began looking for the typical upright style bike, but having a back problem, I turned to the recumbent style. As my wife was looking over my shoulder, she suggested I look at one with the back-rest support on it as well. I’m glad she said something…once I got the unit assembled, and tried it out, I realized how important the back-rest was for me. I now know I would not be able to use a unit without it. It was fairly easy to assemble…I only pinched my fingers once. I was impressed with the quality of the unit…it seems to be very well made. It is very quiet during use. The online ad information didn’t say anything about a pulse rate monitor…this unit does have one, built into the handles. The seat and backrest are both comfortable. I am about five-three and had no problem fitting this equipment. I have only used it for a few minutes at this point, but am comfortable knowing that with my physical limitations, I will be able to get some exercise with this unit. My wife who is an exercise nut, and has never been a fan of stationary bikes, also likes it. I get the impression this bike is going to get a lot of use. Broken within 6 months. I bought this bike last summer. After a few months the right petal started making a weird sound like there were rocks bands in the center of machine. After a few days of the noise it only got worse. I noticed little metal balls came out of the petal and the noise became unbearable like metal scratching on metal. I contacted the company who manufactured the bike and completed a form for replacement parts. After they confirmed receipt of the form they did not respond to any of my requests for an update and have not sent the replacement part. They also have a customer service and they literally never answer the calls. Horrible customer service. Dont waste your money one this.Ana

I had gotten really into spin workouts at my local gym, but found it difficult to get there sometimes day to day. So, I started researching spin bikes that could work in my home. I was on a budget so was definitely trying to keep my purchase below $600. After a lot of research, including trying some bikes in shops, I landed on this one and I am very pleased so far. It's super easy to set up, is very quiet and sturdy, and has met all of my expectations and needs. I love that even if I only have about 30 minutes, I can hop on the bike, get in a good workout and go about my day. I only bought this bike last week, but I love it so far! I researched for months on different sites and different products. I was hoping for the iC4, but it's out of stock everywhere. This one was in stock and available to pickup. All the issues I've read about seem to be related to mishandling during shipping. I followed all assembly instructions, especially pedal installation, making sure they were threaded on straight and then tightened with the wrench. The bike is super quiet. I've preemptively bought some silicone lubricant for the wheel and brake pad after reading about noise. I watched some videos on maintenance and it's super easy to care for. I think a lot of issues come up because people think you don't have to take care of expensive equipment. The seat is a traditional racing seat, so it's uncomfortable if you have a big butt like me, but I bought a padded cover and it makes it more bearable. I'm 5'9" and heavy and the bike is big and sturdy enough. I'm not sure how accurate the display numbers are, but I'm also not such a serious rider that I need the most accurate stats; I just want a good cardio workout and hopefully drop some pounds. I bought this bike ~9 months ago, to replace a cheap one that, while it looked like this Schwinn on the outside, had a resistance mechanism that just didn't work. What a relief it was to get on this IC3! I've been riding ~6X a week & it's still working well. My favorite feature (besides the fact that the resistor/brake function works) is the horizontal adjustment feature for the handlebars. If I can't adjust the handlebars both vertically & horizontally, my hands fall asleep while riding. No worries for that issue with this bike. As several reviewers have noted, the "computer" is pretty awful. The timer works (mine loses about a tenth of a second per minute, but that's not a big deal) and the rpm meter, when you can see it (seems like it's always on mph when I glance down) is accurate. The calorie count is a flat 13 calories per minute, no matter how fast or slowly you go, so that's not even vaguely right. The unit rarely picks up my pulse transmitter, but when it does it's laughably inaccurate, to the tune of 50bpm high or low. I don't know if the distance is accurate, because I totally don't care about that. It should be, but given that this unit was clearly programmed by people who don't bike, I wouldn't bet on it. On the other hand – see those down-facing brackets at the top? If the top one disappears, you're going under 60bpm. That could mean that you have so much resistance on that you're going to blow out your knees, so that's a handy signal to have. Despite my grumping about the monitor, this is a really great bike. All most of us need from a monitor is to know how long we've been pedaling & enough bpm info to make sure we're in a knee-safe range. And this monitor does that just fine. I am so so happy with this bike. I am 75 and put the bike together by myself in about an hour. Directions are really clear; take your time and enjoy the process of putting it together. Bike is so quiet and very smooth ride. Love the scanner that includes heart rate, miles, calories, time peddling. The bike is really sturdy and fits in an 18 inch square space when closed. Very easy to close and open. Yes, pull the pin to open and close the bike……there are two holes that line up for open and close position. The seat is also really comfortable. In response to P65 for consumers . . .it's a warning label such as don't use a curling iron while in the tub, or consume paint chips. "Should I worry about Prop 65? Probably not. The Prop 65 label is like a noisy alarm that rings equally loudly about smaller amounts of low-risk substances and huge amounts of potentially harmful chemicals. The labels don't say how much of the chemical is present, or how much it would really take to make a person sick." And one key word is "might"! Most items should probably have this label on it! All the toxins we purchase is outrageous-but unless you are licking, consuming, or eating the paint chips, etc. the worries should be labeled but it's safe to use. I bought this bike after I waited too long to buy the recumbent bike and it sold out. I didn’t want the traditional style bike because I felt my caboose was too large for it and the bike seat would be uncomfortable. This model was also on sale with free shipping and against my better judgement I purchased it for $129 pretax and no shipping. I am incredibly glad that I did. This was quick & simple to put together. Anyone could put this together! The directions are easy to read and specific, and there aren’t a lot of parts to decipher what is what or where it goes. The hardest thing for me was deciding what level to choose for the seat (which turns out to be generously sized and comfortable)! It’s compact and light enough to easily move and I’m amazed at how quiet it is! I am 49, 5’1” and my weight was up to 215# when I bought this. There are 8 tension levels on this lil home bike. I started at level 1 for 5 minutes at the beginning of January. It’s now the middle of February and I’m at level 4 and I ride for 45 minutes a day or longer. I’ve lost 20 pounds and 15 inches of fat so far. In the end, I’m glad I had to get this style bike because I don’t feel that I would have worked as hard if I had or had as many moving body parts if I had purchased the recumbent bike. The digital screen is easy to read and use. I hope this lil guy goes many more miles with me and I highly recommend this bike to anyone who wants to exercise and doesn’t want a large piece of equipment or a large price tag. Knowing what I do about this bike, I would willingly pay regular price for it.

This review will be broken down into two parts: Installation/Delivery & use of the product. Installation/Delivery: Firstly, I am so happy to currently be a member of the Total Tech Membership. As a result, I was able to get this bike for $500. That $500 included not only the bike, but also the delivery AND installation. I ordered the bike about a week ago and set up delivery/install for Friday 1.21.22. The two guys that came to complete the bike delivery and set up were AWESOME! I think we were their last delivery on Friday as they called and said they were driving back from Sheboygan then to Green Bay to pick up bike, then up to Door County. Even though I could tell they had a LONG day these two guys were EXCEPTIONAL. They came in brought the bike downstairs and happily went to work on putting it together. They got the whole thing together and rocking and rolling in about 40 minutes (totally worth me not doing it b/c I'm sure it would've taken me much longer). They gave me a tutorial on use and took everything away. Both of these guys deserve a TEN out of TEN for their efforts & hard work (even on a late Friday night). Thanks MUCH to them Use of Product: my wife did a ride yesterday on the bike and I used it this morning before work. The product is SUPER easy to use and it is VERY VERY QUIET (you can hardly hear it running). I love that they have user profiles that keep track of your workouts and overall distances that you bike (it allows 4 profiles). This bike has a great display for your workouts and it has plenty of choices for programs. It also has a fan and though I haven't used it yet it has a USB port and speakers for listening to what you'd like (I am an ear buds kind of guy). When using the bike it is VERY comfortable (I'm 5'10') and the seat moves with ease. This was the perfect last piece of exercise equipment we needed for our basement gym and it provides a good workout without major stress on the body. I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone who is on the fence about buying it. Schwinn has pulled a complete bait and switch on these units that to me borders on criminal. There USED to be (and is advertised) a free app that you could download to interact with these units as well as keep track of your workouts. However, that has gone the way of the dodo bird – extinct! The old app is still referenced in the owners/installation menu. The app has been removed from all app stores – no matter the device. What Schwinn has done is convert to a Peleton type structure where the app is now a subscription based service. Total money grab. If the app worked like Peleton, I could almost get behind it – not even close. There are only 3 or 4 free "rides" you can do with the new app but none are interactive to where the resistance varies based on the terrain. The app does make the video come to a halt if you stop pedaling – that's it. No matter what speed you pedal, the video just trundles along at the same speed. I did a quick review of the paid "rides" and they all said "video only" so even the paid app does NOT provide any interactive workout other than the view going by at a constant speed – unless you stop. No resistance changes, no speed changes, just a slow ride through the scenery. Also, the Bluetooth….would you expect that to link to your device and let you play music? NOPE!!! The only thing the Bluetooth will link to is the new app. I was told by Schwinn support that it would link to other apps but I tried 3 of what they recommended and no Bluetooth link unless on their app. Worthless. So, there is also a little fan on the console that has a vent similar to an A/C vent in a car. Great idea…..poor execution. The fan is mounted inside the plastic enclosure in such a way that when the air exits the front of the vent, it's blowing at a 45 degree angle and it shoots off to the left, doing a nice job of cooling your left forearm but not a whisp of air on your face. The seating position on this is also uncomfortable. The seat moves up and down at a steep angle – so much so that the instructions say to get out of the seat before adjusting. That is ridiculous. If they were being honest, they would say, "Our design is poor and you can't actually adjust the seat while seated". If you do decide to adjust the seat while actually seated (so you can tell where you need to set it – duh), you better have at least one foot FIRMLY on the pedal, ready to support most of your body weight. Otherwise, the seat will SLAM to the bottom and jam your back – yes, I did it! This is not like any recumbent bike Ive ever been on – the ergonomics just are NOT good. The angle is just not right. Excellent exercise bike at an excellent price. Free delivery was included and much appreciated that they moved the heavy box into the back room for me. Setup took about 90 minutes with assistance from a step-by-step YouTube video that made identifying parts and order a breeze (SEARCH: "Complete! Assemble Schwinn 270 Recumbent Exercise Bike") The bike is very comfortable and includes a console with lots of information and ability to setup custom programs. It's really not too bulky either and fits well along the wall of our room, so its pretty much out of the way. It has wheels in the front and a handle in the back to enable you to easily lift and move the bike. There is also a media shelf underneath the main display to hold your phone or tablet, and also a USB port to keep your device charged during your work out. The only negative thing you might have is that the Bluetooth capability is limited to using their app for downloading information about your session. You can't stream any music to its internal speakers at all. You will need to use the supplied 3.5mm input port and cable to attach to an MP3 player or phone that has a similar jack to play any music from the speakers. But you can just use your own phone or tablet along with wireless earbuds or headphones for better sound. The bike itself is very quiet when pedaling, which is nice. It has 25 levels of resistance which is plenty, and includes a heart rate monitor via the handles mounted on either side of the seat. A little nice addition is the cup holder/storage for your water bottle and/or remote control. Compare all this to the very similar (and more expensive) Nautilus R618 Recumbent bike that has almost identical features and made by the same company.BobG

I bought this bike several years ago, and have been very pleased with it. I am 97 years old, stagger around with a cane, and have very little strength. This bike is good for me. It's very easy to get on and off – the seat is chair height, with a back and arms making it secure to ride. Other configurations like upright bikes and rowing machines are difficult, and those requiring you to stand are impossible for me to use without falling. I ride this bike for 30 minutes a day at a resistance setting of 5 within the range of 1 – 8, about what I remember the resistance of peddling a real bike at about 10 -15 mph to be. The bike has a very good price; it has the essentials and no more. Other than occasionally tightening a few screws, I've had no maintenance problems. I have two criticisms: (1.) The adjustment for riders of different heights is cumbersome, and (2.) The little computer displays operating time, speed, distance, calories , and something I don't understand. It is difficult to zero the display at the start of a run; I just keep punching until it eventually does, and the calorie count never zeros, but who believes it anyway. The same is a problem with the scan function – just keep punching and eventually it starts working. For someone like me who needs aerobic exercise, but is too old and feeble to go running in the park, this is a great machine.William

The bike has a very good price; it has the essentials and no more. Other than occasionally tightening a few screws, I've had no maintenance problems. I have two criticisms: (1.) The adjustment for riders of different heights is cumbersome, and (2.) The little computer displays operating time, speed, distance, calories , and something I don't understand. It is difficult to zero the display at the start of a run; I just keep punching until it eventually does, and the calorie count never zeros, but who believes it anyway. The same is a problem with the scan function – just keep punching and eventually it starts working. For someone like me who needs aerobic exercise, but is too old and feeble to go running in the park, this is a great machine.William

I read all the reviews, watched all the comparison videos and finally selected the Bowflex C6 as my indoor exercise option. Price point and freedom of choice of apps were the primary points in my selection. The bike is very quiet, has been quite sturdy and I've enjoyed using it. I struggled a LOT with the JRNY app initially, running on a PIxel Slate (a ChromeOS device that runs Android apps) and that was pretty much a disaster. It crashed frequently and many options just didn't work. But then, I tried a real Android tablet and the app works great. I actually enjoy it. I tried a couple others and will do more, but the JRNY app is good if you have a device it runs on. So far I haven't had any problems with pedals coming loose as some have. I do find the water bottle placement is unfortunate as I either hit it during hard rides or feel like I will – neither of which are good. So, I generally leave my water bottle on a nearby table that I an reach. Small gripe, but also easy to fix if the company wanted to. Easy to put together, although the instructions were a little to terse – I spent a while looking for the needed bolts in one step before realizing they were already screwed into their spots in the bike (to be removed before reattaching with the needed accessory). Again, it's a small gripe, but also easy to fix. Overall I've been quite happy.
I usually don't bother with reviews but wanted to do one here since there's so little info to be found on the C7 (loads on the C6 though!). I bought this bike to use as a peleton alternative with the peleton app. The bike is a great bike. I've ridden outdoor bikes a lot (road and mountain) but never really went to the indoor bikes until this. I have been pleasantly surprised. The seat is actually very comfortable, especially with bike shorts. If you're not used to sitting on a bike seat then of course it'll feel weird, but you let butt gets used to it. This thing is super quiet and easy to use, easy to adjust resistance, easy to connect Bluetooth. It's a little difficult at first rising with the peleton app because of trying to figure out resistance levels. Even the 'conversion charts' online don't feel like they're accurate. My only real complaints about it is the water bottle holder should be set further back to avoid hitting your knees on it (there's lots of complaints about this with the c6, which is basically the same bike without the console). The screen is quite small to use as your entertainment or spin class but it's perfect for using as manual mode for the metrics during a peleton class (which I watch on my tv).KC
I ordered the Bowflex ultimately because it was a more affordable product than the Peloton bike, but could sync with the app on my phone. While there are many other alternatives, so many of them also come with their own software, and I wanted to keep sharing the app with my sister and stick with the instructors I know, so I appreciated that there's a tech stand but no required/automatic app. When riding, I can see my cadence on the Peloton app which is great because it's a little harder to read on the bike display screen. It'd be fabulous if I could track resistance on the app too. (If you're a Peloton user – or aspiring user – too but considering buying the Bowflex machine – an Apple Watch will track your heartrate while you ride and sync with the Peloton app to give you an output in the Peloton app. I jussst switched to Fitbit, which does not sync with the Peloton app. :-/) I set the bike up myself! It was straightforward, I'd say, and it didn't take long, considering. It maybe took me 45-50 minutes (including the time I spent finding tools I hid under other pieces, ha). I find that the bike is sturdy; it doesn't wiggle and wobble while I ride. It's quiet too! Except for the exasperated sighs I make while on it, it doesn't make any sound. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and look forward to many many rides on my Bowflex C6. #sweepstakes

The reviews on the Sunny SF-RB 4806 were very good so I went ahead and ordered one. They predicted a delivery date and it arrived on time. There is some assembly required. Their user manual is easy to use. I needed some assistance on an area I was having some trouble with so I called their support group. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and how knowledgeable Ashley was. She knew exactly how to instruct me to fix my area. She even suggested sending me a short video on this.
