20 Best Steam Cleaner For Car Interior (Feb 2023 Update)

This product is great. It puts the Shark steam cleaner to shame. Its very powerful and last quite a long time on just a cup of water. It will give you about 15-20 minutes of continuous usage. However, if you press the trigger sporadically, it can last about 30-45 minutes. The steam blast is loud and packs a punch. I use this thing to clean and sanitize everything from my bathroom to the kitchen (always sanitize the nozzle with bleach or alcohol after use to avoid cross contamination). Another great feature is all the attachments it comes with so you can steam clean almost anything. My only issue is the quality of some of the attachment. The small brushes and scrub pads aren't really reusable. After the first usage, they start to fall apart, especially the scrub pads which are excellent for cleaning your tub and tile. You can buy more attachments online, but its kind expensive costing 10 for 5. One reason I switched to steam cleaning was to save money on cleaning solutions, but if I have to constantly buy the attachments, eventually it will work out to cost more than the cleaning solutions. But I recently used the steamer to clean this very disgusting fridge in the apartment Im renting. The steamer blast through all the filth, chocolate syrup, spilled soda, and other unknown substances with extreme ease.Monster_Review

I bought this tool to clean 1/2 grout tile floor grout. It worked great for the first 10 minutes, and it would great for the process, except it is not designed properly. I has a special small nozzle head, upon which small brush attachments are placed. There are three pieces, brush, nozzle, and nozzle attachment (to hook to hose or hose extension). The nozzle is made of thermoplastic, like the rest of the unit, except the pressure chamber cap, which is brass. The nozzle needed to be made of brass as well. The thermoplastic heats up, and a threaded piece (with o-ring) when at temperature cannot handle GENTLE scrubbing with the brush. (e.g. for the purpose it is made.) The nozzle fitting jumps the threads every time, once it heats up. So the unit is only good to use for about 10 minutes, before the nozzle gets soft from heat, and falls off constantly. If they made the nozzle out of brass, and the end piece (nozzle attach) out of metal, it would work great. But they didn't, so it is pure frustration to CONSTANTLY put the nozzle on again, and again, and again. This gets 1 star. It works great for 10 minutes, then its useless. If used with the larger attachments, it would probably be a great value; but I need it to clean grout. It says it cleans grout, but it really doesn't.MesaGuy

I've only used the MC1275 once to clean shower floor tile grout using the scrub pad attachment. I filled the steam chamber one time with distilled water, and the steam was ready in approximately 5 minutes. It was easy to control, but did a marginal job restoring the whiteness of the grout. The scrub pad itself came loose and separated completely from its plastic base in under 10 minutes. While the steamer worked as advertised, steaming cleaning the grout didn't live up to my expectations, and the scrub pad's durability was a major disappointment. The good – it produced steam reliably; control is easy to maintain. The bad – the scrub pad is virtually useless for scrubbing applications; steam alone will not magically clean discolored tile grout.beforemytime

I bought my Dupray Neat Steamer 2 years ago. It’s become one of my favorite cleaning tools for tackling the tough and weird to clean things like the couch and our big area rug. Since my last cleaning, I had an issue with the cap getting stuck despite proper cleaning and air drying after my last use. One of my favorite things Ive ever bought. Its so easy to use. I absolutely love it. I love that I can use my own cloths on it instead of purchasing the expensive pads. It does come with 3. My only complaints are I wish the hose detached and it would be nice if there was a safety switch so I could lock the trigger so my 2 year old cant mess with it. If I need to take a break I have to shut it off and put it up so he cant get it. Then I have to wait for it to heat back up. Other than that its definitely worth the price.Beth

I've been using this steam cleaner for a while now. I used it to completely clean an apartment that I was moving out of and the landlord was impressed with the cleaning job that we did. The carpet was a little trampled down in the high traffic areas and the stream treatment helped to bring it back to its former fluffy self. It is very ease to use. Set up was simple. The amount of steam was easy to control. It has definitely met all of my expectations with flying colors. I also like the fact that it is an American made product. The warranty is also a great selling feature. Highly recommend. Update: We have had an incredible amount of rain and our "dog" room was a muddy mess. We have tile and it was covered with dried red clay mud. Had a pest problem. Vapamore cleaned any remaining boric acid I had in carpet. Never again will I use boric acid. It is difficult to remove and can poison you after you think you have vacuumed it up but not all comes up even after several vacuums. Vapamore also disinfected mattress, couch, loveseat, chairs, kitchen floor, pillows, drapes, etc. Easy to maneuver the unit due to its compact size and wheels. The main arm has two easily detachable sections which elongate or shorten the sprayer to varied lengths for ease of use. The back of the unit has storage for the smaller attachments. Be careful this storage space doesn't open up while you are emptying remaining water from the unit as you could lose a few small parts down the drain. Important to read all the safety info prior to first use so you don't make a bad mistake which invalidates the warranty. Limited lifetime warranty looks pretty good. I can see myself purchasing an additional floor mop cloth at some point in the future. This cloth is easy to remove and toss in the laundry. It can get dirty quickly if you do not do your standard vacuuming of carpet prior to steam disinfection. The hot steam dried quickly from upholstery. Nothing was left sopping wet. This is important in order to avoid mold. Can not stress this enough.Candice

Not sure about all the negative reviews. This is not a Bissell product. It is made by Vapamore, an Italian company. My unit has worked fantastically for two years and counting. 43psi, 210-degree C steam–it killed a mild bed bug problem and now I use it for cleaning and clothes steaming. Solid construction, fast heat up, powerful steam that blasts through two layers of clothing and upholstery instantly with the trigger.LW

The steam the machine produces is very hot and blows a very powerful stream of steam. It doesn't clean, so don't expect this to replace your cleaning regime, but with how hot the steam gets, I'm sure it will sanitize. I love all the attachments it comes with. Perfect for whatever you will use it for. The cord is long enough to work in the space your using it for and it is lightweight. It doesn't need to be filled as often as I thought. I'd still have water left in the kettle after using it all around the bathroom. I use it for when I travel mostly. I clean the bathrooms, kitchens, steam the doorknobs, and anything I'd set my stuff on. It does clean the grime from the hard to reach places like the corner of my shower or the space between the toilet lid and seat. It did a decent job on my glass shower doors, but I still recommend scrubbing them first, then possibly rinsing the soap with the steamer. To sum it up, I like the steamer. This Lil machine is packed with steam power. I’m a stickler for clean grout lines and been on my knees forever getting them clean but this lil powerhouse let’s put the best steam and cleans those lines fast. Makes glass amazing too. I highly recommendGloria

This steamer is comfortable to hold. The .long power cord means you don't have to change the electrical outlet location often. It only holds six (6) ounces of water. That called for several refills. Originally I did think this would be a great product. Although the Bissell vacuum I purchased was also weak. This Bissell pet portable pro heat cleaner was purchased to clean a small carpet and couch. It did a fair job on the carpet at first. The second time I used it there was water leaking and the sprayer started to drip not spray. I was careful when cleaning it, each time it was emptied. As others have said it doesn't actually heat the water, you just add hot water to the tank. The sample bottles of Bissell cleaner and oxy boost were nice to try, the regular size were priced high I thought. I wouldn't recommend this product. Disappointed that this was a waste of money. Disappointed of time it took to re-clean the area where dirty water leaked out. I looked up how to fix it but it needs to go to a Bissell repair store, not convenient. I loved all the attachments on this steamer. Once I started steaming, I couldn't stop! I used every attachment for different purposes. The microfiber cloth and rectangular attachment worked great on my wood floors! The small nylon brush and steel brush were awesome for grout lines! I would have given a 5 star review; however, I wasn't impressed with the window tool. We have a glass shower and it took a LONG time to clean…and didn't work well. Traditional glass cleaner was much more effective and a LOT easier. I also wish the unit came with more microfiber cloths.SJO

This cleaner does a very good job of cleaning. It heats up quickly and has very good pressure, which is adjustable. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is the locking buttons are hard to press to release attachments. I deep cleaned my entire house with this steam cleaner. It's amazing. It stands by brilliantly without leaking steam while I move things around to clean more. I find that the 700ml lasts a good while before needing to be refilled. The only draw back is that if you must refill you need to let it cool off and depressurize before adding more water. Pros you can use tap water but make sure you maintain per Dupray instructions with vinegar rinse after so many uses. I used every single attachment and I love it but I still need to get the hang of the squeegee. My favorite moment was getting the cracks between my shower surround that I couldn't get with anything else. The pressurized steam blasted out the gunk. It was disturbing and oh so satisfying at the same time. I feel better knowing that I can clean soft surfaces that I can't throw in the laundry, especially for the coming baby. 100% worth the cost, and I'm glad I chose the home over the Neat.Christy R

The only thing I would like is to be able to lock the button and not have to depress it while using the hose…especially in hard to reach areas like my oven and the whole device has to be held upright so it's a balancing act. The LittleGreen ProHeat deep cleaner was recommended to me by my mom for getting those little messes out of carpets and rugs. I got mine in March of this year and it was doing its job, other than a brush popping off the end of one of the hose attachments (an easy enough fix with some glue). I was happily using the machine about once a week just to touch up around the house, with the occasional bigger spot that needed a couple of tries to come all the way clean. Then, about three weeks ago, I was a little confused about why the dirty water tank didn't seem to be getting fuller. On closer inspection, I found that the hose had developed a sizable hole in one of the creases. The machine is outside of Target's return period and Bissell customer service has been completely unresponsive. For an item I got just a few months ago that is being used regularly, but not heavily, this is an unfortunate turn from being a product I liked to one that I simply cannot recommend.Lane

I purchased online & hoped to do curbside pickup. My local store didn’t have it on hand but shipping looked like it would only take a day or two so I opted to have it shipped. We’ll about 4 hours later (maybe less) it was delivered to my front door. I absolutely couldn’t believe it. What amazing service. My first trial run of the unit was on a bench. I very briefly pre-treated the surface. Then I followed the instructions to spray while scrubbing. I didn’t put a lot of time or huge effort into it. The results are really great and I’m sure they would be even better if I let the pre-treatment soak for longer than 2 minutes. After I cleaned my bench, I could not believe how filthy the water that I suctioned from the bench was. I will be using and loving this little machine a lot!!! It was really easy to assemble and get started. I think I’ll get better at judging how to pre-treat stains and how to scrub. But for a first try using it & doing with almost no effort. I Would Return This If I Could. I Started Out Good, Cleaning My Car Seat, A Spill On My Couch Etc. It Works Ok, But What I Did Not Expect Was That I Needed To Push A Lot Harder Than Expected. This Is Not A Machine That Does The Work For You. You Do All The Work, And The Handles Feel Really Flimsy. The Hose Is Also Made Of Hard Plastic. There Is No Wiggle To It. The Hose Is Also Incredibly Short, Which I Had Read But Wanted To See If It Was A Big Deal. It Is. It Also Leaks From The Bottom, So If One Is To Use This In The Car, You Either Put It In The Car, With Something Underneath, Or You Put It On A Stool Or Something Near You. Because The Hose Is Short, Both Of These Are Risky, Meaning The Bissell Could Fall Over, Get Knocked Off Etc. Not Fun When You're Trying To Clean Something And it's Already Taking Alot Of Work. So Many Negatives, I Would Not Purchase Again. The Hard Plastic Hose Tore, And I Have Only Used This Bissell A Handful Of Times. Maybe 5, And For Mostly Small Things. Not Fun. The actual steam part works great, no doubt about that. I've tried it for cleaning and steaming clothes, but the unit can be clunky and awkward. The cord can be a problem simply because you have to be near an outlet all the time. The unit is not super steady and balanced, so it sometimes tipped over or tilted forward like it was going to fall. There was no way to tell how much water had been used up or when it was empty until it just stopped producing steam and then you'd have to wait several minutes before you could water in it again, so that was a little annoying. It's not a bad steamer, but it definitely has some design flaws.Kimmie

This is not much bigger than dollhouse furniture if you ask me. I bought this months ago and if I had actually taken it out to use it before now, I would have returned it. I had no idea the parts were this small! Good for cleaning very very small spaces! Couldn't handle the laundry area at all. Only good for maybe a sink. Very disappointed with this item. It does clean cat messes but not dirt from carpet. Also, what is in the box is not what is pictured on the front of the box. The brush attachment shown is black with a clear front adn 3 rows of red bristles, actual attachment is all clear and has only ONE row of bristles. The attachment is also supposd to have a button to release if from the hose. There is NO button! You cannot remove it unless you pry it off with a screwdriver! The box shows a button and the instructions also show a button. You are supoosed to remove the attachment & hook the hose to the machine to run water through but you can't take the attachment off so you can't clean it. Using a screwdriver to pry it is going the break the cheap plastic attachment. I did try to contact Hoover but the bot said it was too busy and booted me off. When purchasing anything I expect to receive what is pictured on the box not some other cheap junk. Disappointed!!DawnyLouWho

Love this wet vac! We just got a new puppy and the only handheld wet vacs like the discontinued Bissell we had in the past are impossible toclean. They don’t come apart like they need to. This Hoover is bigger, but just as portable and does a MUCH better job than the handhelds. It was super easy to set up, and I can’t believe how easy it is to clean after use. The hose cleaning feature is phenomenal and is one of the main reasons I got this over the Bissell Little Green Machine. Well worth the investment to keep my carpets clean while puppy learns how to comply with socially acceptable bathroom norms. Walmart delivered promptly and had this in stock which wasn’t the case with a couple of other vendors.Jackie

I have owned this unit for 5 years after previously owning a Bissel Little Green Machine (the Bissel nosel stopped spraying after a couple years, and unit would constantly leak). About a year ago I noticed it was getting more difficult to place the handle back in the holder (the hose did not stretch as far as it used to). I didn't think much of it, but then. Few months ago I noticed that the hose tore near the sprayer. I loved using this machine, therefore I wanted to try fixing it without having to buy another one. I used hockey tape and that seemed to do the trick. Then about a month ago, I noticed that the hose has also torn right at the base (I am unable to fix this with tape unfortunately). I wrote Hoover about this, however, I am far out of warranty, so there isn't really much they can do. Now I'm trying to decide if I should buy another one or try something new. I noticed another customer also had the same problem with the hose tearing, so obviously my issue is not isolated.Kryss

The Hover PowerDash GO Pet + Spot Cleaner is a handy tool for easy pet mess cleanups. It is compact and stores nicely. It is great for spot cleaning like the name implies, it's even good for larger jobs if it is all that you have. The cord is a bit short, but again great for small jobs. Upholstery cleaning is a chore I don't enjoy so don't do often, I was amazed at the amount of yuck it removed from my ottoman, and pleased with the fresh scent it left behind. The included instructions could have been more informative but I managed to figure things out. The attachments are easy to install, remove, and clean. The hose is not easily removable, you have to unscrew a part from the bottom of the unit to get it off. I wanted to rinse it out before storing but it felt like too much work. The dirty tank holds quite a bit and is super easy to clean when you're done. It seams to leave a lot of moisture behind and I had to turn the suction off to scrub. My ottoman is puffy and soft so it was hard to get a good clean without the solution getting sucked out. I have an elderly dog and have been hand scrubbing pee spots for quite a while, I thought I was doing a good job but I was so wrong. This spot cleaner really gets the mess out and leaves your carpet fresh. I would definitely recomend the Hoover Power Dash GO Pet + Spot Cleaner to anyone with pet messes, it really does a great job. First off this works great for cleaning up small messes and stains before they set. It is not a carpet cleaner which is what most complaints I have read talk about. This Spot cleaner does exactly what it says. We have been using this spot cleaner for about a month and have had no complaints. It has strong suction and the pet scrubber it comes with works great when dealing with both messes from our kids and from our pets. We have 3 kids 2 cats and a dog. The one reservation I had when I first got this my biggest concern was the lack of a fresh water reservoir. I soon found that for a majority of messes it is not needed. The carpet cleaning formula that came with it does a great job of releasing the stains and smells. I have cleaned up pet and kid urine, vomit, and spilled drinks. A couple of times I have needed some fresh water but all I did was take a cup of hot water to soak the spot with. The Hoover spot cleaner has a large dirty water reservoir and handle this just fine. Another thing I have really liked about using this cleaner is the spots dry much faster as there is much less liquid used in the cleanup. We keep this primarily in the car which works great as it is small in size and can run off our power inverter really well. They really did a great job with this one. It is very sturdy and well built and everything comes apart to clean. The biggest problem I have had in the past is not being able to open the dirty water compartment up completely to clean. It ends up stinking and growing things. With this one the top opens completely and I just put it in the dishwasher. The scrubbing and sucking head comes apart as well. I am amazed at how effective this machine is at cleaning up even very old pet stains from carpet and mattress topper. I have two chihuahuas that occasionally barf on the bed or my carpeted bedroom floor, and sometimes they will pee too on the carpeting. I of course blot up as much as possible when this occurs but it was still gross. Not bad enough that it stank to high heaven or anything but the beige carpet looked gross with lots of little spots and definitely needed a freshening. I couldn't believe how immediately this machine removes the pee and barf stains!! Even ones that were really old, even got old bile stains out of a white mattress topper-quickly and easily. Everything looks and smells great now. I really can barely believe it! I happened to get this machine second hand/used from someone's tag sale but I would pay the full price. When I first got the Little Green I used it primarily for cleaning spots on area rugs. It worked well, but always leaked every single time I used it. The suction is pretty weak for a carpet cleaner…I have even done a thorough clean of all the tubes and nozzle to make sure it was 100% clean without any blockage. After not using it for 6 months (and misplacing the water nozzle and suction brush during a move) I replaced both items through the Bissell site. I once again made sure all compartments were clean in the machine before use. Now when I use the machine the dirty water excessively leaks from the bottom (or some area at the bottom of the machine) and the leakage has gotten EXTREMELY worse. I ended up having to place the machine on a heavy duty trash bag on top of a high absorbent mat. When I use the suction, there are LITERAL BUBBLES coming from the bottom of the machine. NOTHING is going into the dirty water tank. Before anyone asks, yes the suction top on the dirty water container is closed and all items are in the proper place. So moral of the story is that instead of having dirty water in the designated tank, it is now pooling in the trash bag. After tonight I will NOT be using this product ever again. It works very well, and it is very cumbersome to use. The parts do interchange easily. On first squirt a lot of water comes out. There is no way to wrap the cord for storage and the cord is too short for moving around a room. Some of the accessories can be stored in the unit and some cannot. Also, there is no way to know how much water is left in the unit. AND it took out many of my stains.ricki

Ok, so I see the reviews and I can say I personally have owned 1 of the Bissell Revolutions 2x whatever cleaning power and I was satisfied (extremely satisfied as it still runs). I have a black lab and a long haired cat and I live in the country. We have absolutely no concrete or asphalt surrounding our house, and live by the coast so our dirt is probably about 30-40% sand, so tracking mud and sand is frequent in our home. I still have the Bissell (no complaints there), however I clean mine everytime after I use it and vacuume very very thoroughly before I shampoo with my shark navigator (that I am also very very happy with). The thing with all carpet cleaners is the way you treat them. You can't just vacuume once briefly then expect the shampooer to not pick up hair clumps. Do this: vacuume the area until you think u did good, then empty the vacuume and do it again. If you pick up no hair, use the shampooer. If you keep vacuuming up hair, then keep vacuuming until you basically aren't picking up hair, then you will not have issues with your shampooer. I just got the Hoover Powerdash (I got a super good deal for $20 from a garage sale brand new in box never used so I figured why not, my Bissell isn't a pet model so this will be good to try) and am writng this review in response to all the negative recent reviewers I see just because they are having so many of the same issues with clumped hair and leaks.. First off, don't leave your shampooer with dirty water, and it won't leak. Also, don't leave solution in it or simply store the resiviour separately so you won't have leaks either. These machines mainly use gravity to apply solution, possibly with the assist of a small pump like device that might be powered by the belt rotation to feed water (which is great, never have to replace an actual pump) so if you leave solution or dirty water stored in the resiviors, your bound for issues. It's all common sense, if you expect to just leisurely vacuume and have your shampooer do all the rest, then hire a pro. If your willing to take the correct steps in maintaining and shampooing your carpets to remove grime, these are for you.
One lady stated she's owned 12 of the exact 1 that I own (which is I'm assuming for a business or a friggin mansion) so not sure what she's doing wrong but I guarantee the problem is operator error. Especially if she's having the same issues with the same shampooer that I have never seen, unless of course she's overusing them when she shoulda got a commercial cleaner for whatever she needs 12 of these things. I use mine about 15-20 times per year for the past 2 or 3 years and don't have issues. This is for residential use, if taken care of they will last. One last thing, clean your shampooer directly after use, I take mine out front and rinse it on our gravel driveway, being careful to only lightly spray the nozzle and brush assembly, keeping water away from the motor. This will ensure a clean start next session, and is a hell of a lot easier than cleaning clumped up dirt and hair that's caked up and dried solid before u even get to shampooing and even better for the machine instead of just flat out not cleaning at all and burning out the motor due to naglagence and poor maintenance. Use your head people, these are designed to clean what dry vacumes can't, not vacume up hair and remove grime at once. You need to remove a majority of the hair and then these come in and remove everything else just fine. Plain and simple.
Tip: make your own solution using a mixture of baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, laundry detergent or dish soap and whatever essential oil fragrance you like (orange or grapefruit recommended). Search online for the correct amounts of ingredients for your needsTyler D

this cleans pretty well. Much better than my big Spin Scrub Hoover. This tiny little thing has the right kind of brushroll to pick up the carpet fibers and sweep off the dirt. It has good suction. Traffic areas get matted or compressed so they need the brushroll. What makes it a problem, is that the dirty water reservoir has very limited capacity so it only cleans about a 3×3 foot area before it is too full. That is, in a high traffic area. It might clean a slightly larger area if you are only lightly cleaning invisible dirt. I think the mechanism senses SUDS and freaks out and quits suctioning, and it also let a large amount of sudsy water leak out on my hardwood floor next to my carpet, without warning. If it's not very sudsy, it won't leak so bad, just a little, when full. so i had to empty this dirty water tank 3x on a 2.5x 8 foot hall carpet with low pile. . Not cool. Definitely ONLY for small areas as i said above. I was attracted to the bigger more expensive ones of this style that have 2 brush rolls and much larger capacity, and wider cleaning path. I will probably have to get one of those, as this one won't work well for a regular sized room, even just the traffic areas.lexy

Initially bought to clean carpet from when my pup was sick and tried to hide downstairs in the only part with carpet when she wasn’t feeling well. Unfortunately, that liquid sat into the carpet without knowing for a while. This carpet cleaner took care of that and then some ! I LOVE the feature that it has heat to help dry the carpet so you can basically walk onto it right after. I’ve had my basement get water in it after a storm and I was able to also use this to suck up all the water out of the carpet. It saved us from having to replace the baseboards/carpet. I understand it is compact so it’s not really meant to clean your entire house of carpet. The bin gets full quickly with the dirty fluids. The unit isn’t heavy like a commercial use which could be an issue if you have thick/deep carpet. It’s easily disassembled for cleaning of hair in the brush. I did notice when sucking up water from the thick carpets constantly to save us from flooding it was almost as if I could start to smell the belt running hot. In that case I tried my best to wait longer between vacuuming. I’d recommend this to anyone. 4.5 stars only for unit capacity is slightly not enough for my liking.kelsey.k

This steamer is amazing! I use it so much that about every 3 years I buy a new one. It’s under $100. I use it on my tile floors, grout, countertops, shower, toilets, sinks, stove, grill, windows! It has so many attachments to help with all of these different functions! It makes a huge difference and is completely safe in killing all germs!!mary.e

It’s great for deep cleaning your floors. I’ve been using it for years. The first one I ruined by not following the directions and using the provided funnel to fill with water. This last one I’ve had for at least 5 years. I do wish it was quicker at steaming the water. It’s not ideal for daily use.ed

Have had for over 2 years and still glad I purchased it. Previously I had one machine that could do floors only and another hand-held one. Neither of them produced as much steam as this one. I really like the versatility of this steamer in that I can to not only the floor but smaller jobs. I would agree with one writer as to the windows and think they called it a “waterfall” but you can work around that by having a rag handy. I love Xmas and painting my windows with snow/frost but typically a royal pain to get off until I got this and it makes it a breeze. I would also agree with one writer in saying that the brush attachments don’t seem to last very long as the bristles tend to somewhat melt. I usually use a just the plain attachment or none at all and a separate brush or rag. As for another one stating that don’t know when it is out of water—steam stops so that is simple. I did not find that I would have to wait till it cools down to refill when it is empty, I just slowly unscrew it releasing any left-over pressure then refill and reheat and I am back to my work Even though not perfect, for me it was the best out there.Fan 4 QVC
