We are an older, retired couple who absolutely LOVE our Bissell Spot Clean carpet and upholstery scrubber. For us it's a life saver in the figurative sense. It was well worth every penny we paid for it and it paid for itself the 2nd time we used it. When we bought our home going on Nov. 29, 2011 there was a huge black stain about the circumference of a scrub pail in our master bedroom carpeting that looked like oil. We have no idea how long the stain had been in the carpeting or exactly what the stain was from. We tried a spray on carpet cleaner that allegedly removes stains to no avail. It didn't phase the stain, it didn't even lighten the stain. My husband used our new Bissell Spot Clean scrubber on the stain on Sept. 17, 2013. He didn't use any elbow grease and he only spent about 1 minute scrubbing the stain. Oh my gosh, a miracle has occurred, THE STAIN IS COMPLETELY GONE and our carpet looks like new, literally. We're both completely astounded because we thought we'd have to replace our bedroom carpeting to get rid of the stain. There were several other set-in stains in the carpet: red juice and coffee. The Spot Clean scrubber took those set-in stains completely OUT of the carpet as well. We clean both of our living room sofas and the loveseat once a week with the Bissell Spot Clean scrubber. It got rid of set-in stains from them as well as easily as if they just happened. Prior to buying our Bissell Spot Clean portable scrubber, we priced the cost to RENT a carpet / upholstery scrubber in our local stores because our sofas had a horrible odor. The cost of renting a scrubber for 36 hours was $40, then with the cost of buying the necessary detergent and a bottle of the deodorizer, we would have spent about $80 total not including sales tax. We figured we would be financially better off to BUY a portable scrubber for a little more than the cost of renting. When we read the reviews on many brands of portable upholstery scrubbers, we chose the Bissell Spot Clean which was one of the smartest decisions that we ever made. We own a 3 year old Morkie and a 2 year old Yorkie who are sometimes covered with dirt, mud and dust, who lay on the back of the sofas & loveseat so they can look out our living room windows. We also have Seventeen children who are now grown and Nineteen grandchildren who make messes whenever they come to visit. Our Bissell Spot Clean easily cleans up those messes without any effort on our part. Got this cleaner on Black Friday at Target for approx. half price – thought I was getting a great buy! However, I've been quite disappointed in this unit's performance. Our household has a cat that poops on the rug every day, which means I clean up whatever spot the cat picks on a daily basis. We've gone thru 5 or 6 Bissell cleaners over the years, and it it rare that any of them have remained fully functional after 12 months of daily use. However, we have had this one only 2 weeks, and it's already broke! My observations: * Hose cracked and spraying waste fluids when machine is on. * Soap and waste water tanks smaller than on previous generation "Green Machines" we have owned. /used * Title is misleading: "ProHeat" simply means you can use warm water to fill the soap tank. The machine does NOT heat the soap solution. * Sprayer on applicator nozzle only dribbles soap solution, rather than evenly spaying the soap solution over the dirty area. Overall evaluation: POOR. I'm not at all happy with this purchase. This one is going back to Bissell, and I hope I get a Simple Green back in return – at least those seem to last a few months before the pumps break.
Originally I did think this would be a great product. Although the Bissell vacuum I purchased was also weak. This Bissell pet portable pro heat cleaner was purchased to clean a small carpet and couch. It did a fair job on the carpet at first. The second time I used it there was water leaking and the sprayer started to drip not spray. I was careful when cleaning it, each time it was emptied. As others have said it doesn't actually heat the water, you just add hot water to the tank. The sample bottles of Bissell cleaner and oxy boost were nice to try, the regular size were priced high I thought. I wouldn't recommend this product. Disappointed that this was a waste of money. Disappointed of time it took to re-clean the area where dirty water leaked out. I looked up how to fix it but it needs to go to a Bissell repair store, not convenient. Please save your money,Sunshine

This product is great. It puts the Shark steam cleaner to shame. Its very powerful and last quite a long time on just a cup of water. It will give you about 15-20 minutes of continuous usage. However, if you press the trigger sporadically, it can last about 30-45 minutes. The steam blast is loud and packs a punch. I use this thing to clean and sanitize everything from my bathroom to the kitchen (always sanitize the nozzle with bleach or alcohol after use to avoid cross contamination). Another great feature is all the attachments it comes with so you can steam clean almost anything. My only issue is the quality of some of the attachment. The small brushes and scrub pads aren't really reusable. After the first usage, they start to fall apart, especially the scrub pads which are excellent for cleaning your tub and tile. You can buy more attachments online, but its kind expensive costing 10 for 5. One reason I switched to steam cleaning was to save money on cleaning solutions, but if I have to constantly buy the attachments, eventually it will work out to cost more than the cleaning solutions. I bought this tool to clean 1/2 grout tile floor grout. It worked great for the first 10 minutes, and it would great for the process, except it is not designed properly. I has a special small nozzle head, upon which small brush attachments are placed. There are three pieces, brush, nozzle, and nozzle attachment (to hook to hose or hose extension). The nozzle is made of thermoplastic, like the rest of the unit, except the pressure chamber cap, which is brass. The nozzle needed to be made of brass as well. The thermoplastic heats up, and a threaded piece (with o-ring) when at temperature cannot handle GENTLE scrubbing with the brush. (e.g. for the purpose it is made.) The nozzle fitting jumps the threads every time, once it heats up. So the unit is only good to use for about 10 minutes, before the nozzle gets soft from heat, and falls off constantly. If they made the nozzle out of brass, and the end piece (nozzle attach) out of metal, it would work great. But they didn't, so it is pure frustration to CONSTANTLY put the nozzle on again, and again, and again. This gets 1 star. It works great for 10 minutes, then its useless. If used with the larger attachments, it would probably be a great value; but I need it to clean grout. It says it cleans grout, but it really doesn't.MesaGuy
I've only used the MC1275 once to clean shower floor tile grout using the scrub pad attachment. I filled the steam chamber one time with distilled water, and the steam was ready in approximately 5 minutes. It was easy to control, but did a marginal job restoring the whiteness of the grout. The scrub pad itself came loose and separated completely from its plastic base in under 10 minutes. While the steamer worked as advertised, steaming cleaning the grout didn't live up to my expectations, and the scrub pad's durability was a major disappointment. The good – it produced steam reliably; control is easy to maintain. It is very ease to use. Set up was simple. The amount of steam was easy to control. It has definitely met all of my expectations with flying colors. I also like the fact that it is an American made product. The warranty is also a great selling feature. Highly recommend. Update: We have had an incredible amount of rain and our "dog" room was a muddy mess. We have tile and it was covered with dried red clay mud. Had a pest problem. Vapamore cleaned any remaining boric acid I had in carpet. Never again will I use boric acid. It is difficult to remove and can poison you after you think you have vacuumed it up but not all comes up even after several vacuums. Vapamore also disinfected mattress, couch, loveseat, chairs, kitchen floor, pillows, drapes, etc. Easy to maneuver the unit due to its compact size and wheels. The main arm has two easily detachable sections which elongate or shorten the sprayer to varied lengths for ease of use. The back of the unit has storage for the smaller attachments. Be careful this storage space doesn't open up while you are emptying remaining water from the unit as you could lose a few small parts down the drain. Important to read all the safety info prior to first use so you don't make a bad mistake which invalidates the warranty. Limited lifetime warranty looks pretty good. I can see myself purchasing an additional floor mop cloth at some point in the future. This cloth is easy to remove and toss in the laundry. It can get dirty quickly if you do not do your standard vacuuming of carpet prior to steam disinfection. The hot steam dried quickly from upholstery. Nothing was left sopping wet. I am amazed at how effective this machine is at cleaning up even very old pet stains from carpet and mattress topper. I have two chihuahuas that occasionally barf on the bed or my carpeted bedroom floor, and sometimes they will pee too on the carpeting. I of course blot up as much as possible when this occurs but it was still gross. Not bad enough that it stank to high heaven or anything but the beige carpet looked gross with lots of little spots and definitely needed a freshening. I couldn't believe how immediately this machine removes the pee and barf stains!! Even ones that were really old, even got old bile stains out of a white mattress topper-quickly and easily. Everything looks and smells great now. I really can barely believe it! I happened to get this machine second hand/used from someone's tag sale but I would pay the full price. When I first got the Little Green I used it primarily for cleaning spots on area rugs. It worked well, but always leaked every single time I used it. The suction is pretty weak for a carpet cleaner…I have even done a thorough clean of all the tubes and nozzle to make sure it was 100% clean without any blockage. After not using it for 6 months (and misplacing the water nozzle and suction brush during a move) I replaced both items through the Bissell site. I once again made sure all compartments were clean in the machine before use. Now when I use the machine the dirty water excessively leaks from the bottom (or some area at the bottom of the machine) and the leakage has gotten EXTREMELY worse. I ended up having to place the machine on a heavy duty trash bag on top of a high absorbent mat. When I use the suction, there are LITERAL BUBBLES coming from the bottom of the machine. NOTHING is going into the dirty water tank. Before anyone asks, yes the suction top on the dirty water container is closed and all items are in the proper place. So moral of the story is that instead of having dirty water in the designated tank, it is now pooling in the trash bag. After tonight I will NOT be using this product ever again. So, since receiving my Little Green Portable Carpet Cleaner, I've been busy! It cleaned my stained, oversized ottoman. We've had that ottoman since before My grandson was born; it's a family favorite. Car seat stains from transporting grand babies and teenage grandson were especially bad in the passenger and back seats of our two cars. Some stains were bad enough to need a second treatment but that's ok! Those stains are now completely gone and we've saved hundreds over having the car carpets and seats professionally cleaned. This is not much bigger than dollhouse furniture if you ask me. I bought this months ago and if I had actually taken it out to use it before now, I would have returned it. I had no idea the parts were this small! Good for cleaning very very small spaces! Couldn't handle the laundry area at all. Only good for maybe a sink. Not to mention almost gave my self third degree burns 10 minutes after letting it cool off. The top says 5 minutes. A trigger built into the hose end that the attachments connect to would be a game changer freeing up the other hand.

I purchased this steamer to use in cleaning our church. We have numerous children here on a weekly basis and are starting a preschool 4 days a week. With that many children, I was concerned about chemicals. Had a pest problem. Vapamore cleaned any remaining boric acid I had in carpet. Never again will I use boric acid. It is difficult to remove and can poison you after you think you have vacuumed it up but not all comes up even after several vacuums. Vapamore also disinfected mattress, couch, loveseat, chairs, kitchen floor, pillows, drapes, etc. Easy to maneuver the unit due to its compact size and wheels. The main arm has two easily detachable sections which elongate or shorten the sprayer to varied lengths for ease of use. The back of the unit has storage for the smaller attachments. Be careful this storage space doesn't open up while you are emptying remaining water from the unit as you could lose a few small parts down the drain. Important to read all the safety info prior to first use so you don't make a bad mistake which invalidates the warranty. Limited lifetime warranty looks pretty good. I can see myself purchasing an additional floor mop cloth at some point in the future. This cloth is easy to remove and toss in the laundry. It can get dirty quickly if you do not do your standard vacuuming of carpet prior to steam disinfection. The hot steam dried quickly from upholstery. Nothing was left sopping wet. Haven’t owned this long yet but it’s great for my needs. Paid full price, which was more than comparable models, but took a chance since the reviews were good. I have a two bedroom place, so it would be easy to clean everything on about two tanks. I usually just do one room at a time. Works great on floors, walls, and ceilings. (Be careful of outlets, fixtures and fans). The extensions make it easy to reach the 8 foot ceilings in the high part of the half arch entryway. Operation is really easy, cleaning the mop pads is easy, and the website has replacements available if they get worn out over time. All you need is 20 minutes and some distilled water to get started. If it breaks and can’t be repaired within the next 10 years or so I wouldn’t purchase again because I hate wasteful appliances, but otherwise it’s just what I was looking for.Barista dude

The steam the machine produces is very hot and blows a very powerful stream of steam. It doesn't clean, so don't expect this to replace your cleaning regime, but with how hot the steam gets, I'm sure it will sanitize. I love all the attachments it comes with. Perfect for whatever you will use it for. The cord is long enough to work in the space your using it for and it is lightweight. It doesn't need to be filled as often as I thought. I'd still have water left in the kettle after using it all around the bathroom. I use it for when I travel mostly. I clean the bathrooms, kitchens, steam the doorknobs, and anything I'd set my stuff on. It does clean the grime from the hard to reach places like the corner of my shower or the space between the toilet lid and seat. There is no way to wrap the cord for storage and the cord is too short for moving around a room. Some of the accessories can be stored in the unit and some cannot. My favourite use of the unit is for washing walls and washing/sanitizing floors. I like the two levels of steam as well as the nozzle that concentrates steam for really powerful cleaning of crevices and corners. The case is streamlined and controls are visible and accessible. It’s very helpful to be able to add water without having to cool/depressurize the unit. Some of the accessories are more useful than others to me. The LittleGreen ProHeat deep cleaner was recommended to me by my mom for getting those little messes out of carpets and rugs. I got mine in March of this year and it was doing its job, other than a brush popping off the end of one of the hose attachments (an easy enough fix with some glue). I was happily using the machine about once a week just to touch up around the house, with the occasional bigger spot that needed a couple of tries to come all the way clean. Then, about three weeks ago, I was a little confused about why the dirty water tank didn't seem to be getting fuller. The machine is outside of Target's return period and Bissell customer service has been completely unresponsive. I purchased online & hoped to do curbside pickup. My local store didn’t have it on hand but shipping looked like it would only take a day or two so I opted to have it shipped. We’ll about 4 hours later (maybe less) it was delivered to my front door. I absolutely couldn’t believe it. What amazing service. My first trial run of the unit was on a bench. I very briefly pre-treated the surface. Then I followed the instructions to spray while scrubbing. I didn’t put a lot of time or huge effort into it. The results are really great and I’m sure they would be even better if I let the pre-treatment soak for longer than 2 minutes. After I cleaned my bench, I could not believe how filthy the water that I suctioned from the bench was. I will be using and loving this little machine a lot!!! It was really easy to assemble and get started. I think I’ll get better at judging how to pre-treat stains and how to scrub. But for a first try using it & doing with almost no effort. I Would Return This If I Could. I Started Out Good, Cleaning My Car Seat, A Spill On My Couch Etc. It Works Ok, But What I Did Not Expect Was That I Needed To Push A Lot Harder Than Expected. This Is Not A Machine That Does The Work For You. You Do All The Work, And The Handles Feel Really Flimsy. The Hose Is Also Made Of Hard Plastic. There Is No Wiggle To It. The Hose Is Also Incredibly Short, Which I Had Read But Wanted To See If It Was A Big Deal. It Is. It Also Leaks From The Bottom, So If One Is To Use This In The Car, You Either Put It In The Car, With Something Underneath, Or You Put It On A Stool Or Something Near You. Because The Hose Is Short, Both Of These Are Risky, Meaning The Bissell Could Fall Over, Get Knocked Off Etc. Not Fun When You're Trying To Clean Something And it's Already Taking Alot Of Work. So Many Negatives, I Would Not Purchase Again. The Hard Plastic Hose Tore, And I Have Only Used This Bissell A Handful Of Times. Maybe 5, And For Mostly Small Things. Not Fun.
