I have 2b/2c medium density fine hair that is naturally frizzy and inconsistent so products and appliances are necessary. I'm thankful I have a full head of hair. I've been straightening for twenty years and this is leagues above any flat iron I've tried including my G2 Chi. Why? The two inch plates cover more ground and your straightening time is cut in half. There is no messing with temperature which frankly I never knew the right number anyway. No burning or singing smell. You only need one pass for super sleek results. The iron glides through hair without pulling or snagging anything. You can get close enough to the roots to smooth without burning your scalp. My ends actually look healthy afterward. I personally prefer It's a 10 miracle leave in with keratin when my hair is damp and before blow drying over serums because the ratio of ingredients is balanced. You get heat protection without overloading your hair with silicone. Lastly, I've found that keeping the hair tools unplugged while not in use extends their life. I hope this one lasts years. If you're on the fence and you have medium to long hair that you regularly straighten, you absolutely get what you pay for. The best!!!!Product Lover

Bought this a few weeks ago. Delivery is quick. The straightener is average quality. My hair is really curly and thick and it takes about 45mins – 1hr to get it straight. Have to go over strands a few times to get it very straight. I have used the ghd for a long time and find that the original straighteners were much more efficient and effective. Whilst the wide plate is helpful I don't know if this is the best out there anymore. Wish the quality stayed better over the years. Had to get this one because my last one just stopped working with no warning. It was working one moment and just went dead 🙁 Don't know how I feel about this one, no real improvements or innovation. My hair is also very curly, thick and long and it would be nice to see products catered and improved for these hair types. Also not sure about the claim of "styling long or thick hair types in half the time" I find it's the same time as the last straightener. I have been straightening my hair since I was a teenager. I am 42 now. I started out with a clothes iron because I have always had long hair (still do!) and it is hard to straighten. Over the years, I have tried TONS of straighteners, hot combs, and other methods in order to straighten my long, wavy/curly hair. My problem was that the straighteners were always too small, they didn't get hot enough, or they required multiple passes to straighten my hair. However…..THIS straightener really worked well on my hair. The first pass got everything straight, the 2nd made it perfect. I do like the design, however I really wish there was a temperature control– I like to pick my own temperature, and this wasn't an option. But that wasn't a deal breaker-â€� since it got my hair super straight without frying my hair, unlike some other straightener hot combs I have. This is my first experience with GHD, and I am impressed. My hair doesn't snag or catch on the plates– they are super smooth. I also don't have any "hand fatigue" holding this straightener (I have RA and sometimes I hand gets tired if the appliance is difficult or awkward to hold.) All in all— a straightener I can really get behind. T3 is a brand I love already. I’ve purchased three blow dryers over the years because I love them that much. I don’t straighten my hair that often for no particular reason but I decided to try the Lucea 1'' Professional Straightening Styling Flat Iron. To be honest, I didn’t like it at first only because I was trying to use it as a curling iron to create waves which was an epic fail. I’m not sure if it’s just above my pay grade or I don’t have the dexterity but it didn’t work nonetheless 😂. I even watched videos on YouTube and it looked so easy 😠. I do like it however as a flat iron. This really has no bells or whistles. It’s a simple, straightforward flat iron. It has nine heat settings and it comes with a chart so you know the perfect temperature for your particular hair type. My hair glides through effortlessly without any snagging or pulling and my hair comes out shiny, smooth but still has body. I don’t like when flat irons make the hair pin straight. It lacks body, depth and fullness and I don’t think it’s a flattering look. This one luckily doesn’t do that. It tames flyaways, frizz and makes the hair look healthier. This uses ceramic, rounded, even-heat plates so it’s less abrasive on the hair and actually promotes hair health. This has an automatic shut off after an hour too. I have very thick hair so this is a perfect match for me. I have a new original CHI analog flat iron, but kind of missed having the option of adjusting the heat level (I got the one that is set at 392) when styling my hair so decided to splurge on a T3 as a back up. I really wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do, but I am really glad I invested in this because it is probably one of the best flat irons I've used in years. It has its particular cons – I would like a lock on the plates to keep them closed when not in use, and I think it does slightly dry out the hair a wee bit more than others, but, it does style better, so! The way the plates are shaped, you can do perfect waves and red carpet curls without needing to manipulate your hair a lot. I was testing this the day I got it, and was able to get beautiful, shiny, bouncy curls by simply rolling the flat iron and twisting right after while the hair was still hot. Oh, and it gets HOT! Like, super HOT! I turned it down a little because even at level 4, I felt a good amount of heat coming off the plates. Surprisingly, you can hold the iron without gloves or a cloth and not burn yourself. It is slightly more drying than my CHI as I previously mentioned, but I think it's a lot more versatile and more adept at creating a wider range of styles, so that is a big plus for me. I used to own a Hot Tools flat iron, but once I received this flat iron for Christmas a few years ago, the Hot Tools one was promptly donated. The best part of this flat iron is how securely it clamps onto my hair. I don't need an iron grip in order to get good tension; the flat iron does it on its own. It also heats up extremely quickly – if I spray heat protectant on my hair and then immediately turn on the flat iron, the heat protectant will not be dry before the flat iron comes to temp. I also love the multiple temperature settings. I have loosely wavy hair that holds heat styling well, and I always have the temperature set to 365° F. My sister has curly hair, so when I'm doing her hair, we either keep the temperature at 365° or increase it one setting (to around 400°) depending on the day. I also love the aesthetics of this flat iron and of Kristin Ess' entire line of tools. The soft touch is nice and grippy, and it's never slipped out of my hand. I've owned this flat iron for years, and even though I don't straighten my hair every day, I've never had an issue with anything rubbing off. I have the nanoblack 3-in-one flat iron (couldn’t find it in Influenster) the full size, not the mini. It has a 9ft cord that moves with the iron (like if you’re doing curls) it’s not fixed to it, this is helpful if you’re like me have hair past your butt + it helps keep your cord from getting twisted. This iron is beautiful, it has a very soft silky feel to it is super sleek looking. It’s fairly light weight comfortable to hold. My hand wrist don’t get tired half way through doing my hair. It doesn’t have a lock on it to keep it closed but it does come with a cap you can slide over the end which keeps it closed, the instructions sheet says the cap is heat proof but I don’t quite trust that it is so I leave the iron in my sink until it cools down before putting the cap on (which fits quite snugly) hanging it up. As far as heat up time WOW this thing heats up FAST! It took less than 30 seconds for it to get up to temp! The sides are rounded so you can easily do curls without getting crease lines in them, although I haven’t quite mastered the technique of curling with a flat iron yet. One thing I was worried about was that hair would snag but after using it a few times that’s no longer a concern. My hair slides through it like silk. It has ceramic plates which are great for those of us who tend to get static hair after using hot tools (ugh the worst) It has a few different heat settings. I did have to look up how to do that since there’s no dial or specific button for that but it was easy to do. Just keep clicking the power button quickly until it’s the temp you want. When you plug it in you have to hit the power button, it doesn’t just start heating up on its own like other irons I’ve owned in the past. With all that being said I definitely do recommend this iron if you’re in the market for a new one. I couldn’t wait to try this new 1.5 inch straightener because I’ve never used any straightener that is larger than the standard 1 inch. My hair is long, bleached, damaged, fine, very frizzy, and wavy. I started out with freshly washed hair and applied heat protectant before blow drying it. Then, I sectioned my hair and ran a comb through before straightening each piece on heat setting 4. There was a noticeable difference in how fast I was able to straighten my hair. I was able to use larger sections of hair because the straightening plates are both wider and longer on the T3 Lucea compared to standard straighteners. This significantly decreased the time it took to style my full head of hair. After straightening my hair, it was very smooth and sleek. Typically, after I straightening my hair, it begins to frizz up a couple hours later, however the ceragloss plates locked in smoothness for a frizz-free finish. I was able to rock my straight sleek style for DAYS because of this. The before and after photo speaks for itself. This straightener successfully smoothed my frizz and lengthened my hair. I love this T3 Lucea 1 1/2” flat iron! It has quickly become my favorite! I was first surprised how pretty it is! I love the white. Very chic! It gets hot very fast and has a neat way of changing the heat. You just push the button twice and it lets you adjust accordingly. What’s great about this feature is you won’t accidentally change your heat setting my accidentally tapping the button with your pinky because you just tap twice in a row! I love that it’s slightly rounded so I can get an awesome soft curl. I only have to do one pass when straightening and I love that too! I’ve always been intrigued to try a 1.5 inch straightener. Typically, I have always used the standard 1 inch straightening iron. My hair is long, bleached, damaged, fine, very frizzy, and wavy. When I straighten my hair, my hair typically becomes frizzy shortly after styling. I washed and dried my hair as usual. Before straightening my hair, I applied the same heat protectant that I regularly use. I used the heat setting 4 because the instruction guide states that heat settings 1-4 work best for fine hair. After sectioning my hair, I ran a comb through the section before running the straightener through. I am able to take larger sections than I usually do because the straightening plates are both longer and wider than a standard 1 inch straightener. This has significantly sped up the time it takes to style my hair. After straightening my hair, it looked extremely sleek and shiny. The ceragloss plates helped my hair to remain sleek and straight for DAYS after styling. Even though this was gifted by T3 Micro, the before and after photo speaks for itself and this is definitely my new favorite straightening iron!laurnhub

I have curly 3A hair, and I recently cut my hair short. We all know that when you cut curly hair short, it curls up even more. Whenever I’d straighten my hair with my old flat iron, it wouldn’t stay straight all day. However, with this Ion flat iron, my hair stayed pin straight for 4 days! (until I washed it) I really believe that it has to do with the titanium plates. I’ve always used tourmaline/ceramic plates, so I wanted to see what the difference looked like. This Revlon Essentials Fast Results Ceramic 1.5 inch Flat Iron heats up fast. I like the wide 1 1/2 inch coated ceramic plates. Hair glides smoothly through the flat iron. My hair is just above the shoulder and is frizzy and wavy, not curly. I was able to get a smooth look. My other flat iron has 1 inch plates but this one is quicker to use. The biggest con for this flat iron is that the heat dial is hard to read and its numbered 1 to 30 in 5 increments. I wish it had temperatures not numbers and a digital temperature display. The instructions do not tell you what the temperature of each number represents. I assume 400 degrees is 30, but I like to flat iron at 340, so I am not sure where to set the dial. I burned my finger upon initial use as I was trying to read the tiny numbers on the dial. The flat iron heated so quickly that before I knew it my finger hit the side of the ceramic plate as I was trying to see the dial. The on off switch is easy to use and illuminates a red light when on. This flat iron turns off automatically after an hour, which is nice in case you forget. I do which it locked closed when off. A fair rating would be 3.5 stars. The flat iron works, its not fancy, I like the wide plates, for the price its ok, but I prefer knowing the exact temperature I am heating my hair at while flat ironing.gk5040

Revlon has truly created the perfect Flat Iron with unbelievably fast results! This Flat Iron is packed full of great features! It has a really nice sleek black design and a little light that flashes on the side to let you know when it is heating up. When it is ready to use… the light will quit flashing. Heat up is super fast…like within a minute or so. I can plug my Revlon Flat Iron in and turn it on and by the time I am done drying my hair, it is ready for use. I love the tangle free swivel cord because my makeup table has several cords plugged in around it and my Revlon Flat Iron never gets tangled up like a lot of my other cords do. Pros:The Revlon Essentials Fast Results Ceramic 1.5 inch flat iron in black heats up fast like the product claims state on the package. The on/off switch and heat setting dial are tucked away so that your fingers don't accidentally bump into the controls like with some flat irons.A red light indicator lets you know that there is power to it and it's working. The ceramic plates did an okay job at straightening my naturally curly hair but I did have to make a couple of passes on some sections. Cons: Not sure if the auto shut off works. So I just used the off switch and manually turned it off that way. Flat iron doesn't have a digital read out display on what temperature you have it set at. If you have really dry hair like I do that's dyed,you want to make sure you have it set at the right temperature to prevent more damage.This flat iron doesn't come with a zip up storage case like other flat irons do or a heat protector glove for your other hand so if you do choose to buy this be careful. I have type 4 hair and i was able to get my hair like I just came from the Dominican salon. The key is to put heat protectant spray while it’s wet, blow dry real good, then use the chase method to straighten. I put the heat on 20 or 25, not all the way to 30 After. I turned the heat down more and made loose flat iron curls to give it more body. I’m no hair stylist but this was easy to use Also, I used OGX PROTECTING AND SILK BLOWOUT SPRAY. I can’t speak for the longevity of this yet, but ease of use and quality for price? 5 stars. I have been using this to curl my short hair (hits mid neck), and this gives me the perfect texture I am looking for. As someone who has had long hair before, I can’t say if this would be successful for that. I don't typically write reviews. The CHI G2 flat iron is an excellent professional results tool. The passes at the roots of my hair are not uncomfortable/hot on my scalp. The previous flat iron I owned for 10 years began to pull my hair. Passes at the roots of my hair were uncomfortably hot. I decided to purchase a professional quality tool this time around. The plates glide smoothly over my hair with no pulling/tugging. I don't feel heat on my scalp yet I can straighten the roots of my hair. The auto heat setting of 370 degrees is ideal for my hair type. Results look like the salon results I get at the salon. In my opinion, it is critical to use a good quality heat protectant. I purchased professional quality heat protectant and leave-in conditioner to use with the CHI G2. I believe the products helped with the results I got with the CHI G2.Loja

That extra quarter inch makes a difference for longer hair. The heat is consistent. Love the digital settings. I use medium prefixed setting and within a minute it is fully heated. You'll only need one pass through to get smooth results. There is no tugging or pulling the hair. You can get close to the roots easily. I run the iron all the way down except the last inch to protect my ends. Also, the plates are positioned just right so that you never burn your scalp. Just received my new Chi G2 straightener today. I LOVE IT! it works so good! My older original Chi still works but I noticed my hair just wasn’t getting as straight as it used to so I purchased this one and it works soooo good! I love how it has a digital temp display, it grips the hair nicely without having a pulling feeling, and straightens fast! I did my whole head it about 10 minutes. I haven’t tried curls with it yet but am excited to do so. This particular straightener is nice because you can manually set your own temp up to 425 degrees or filter through their preset temps designed for specific hair types (like fine, medium, or coarse).chelsea.s

I'll start off by mentioning the size of this straightener. The Dyson Corrale is bigger and heavier than most straighteners which isn't bad just takes some getting used to. It has a magnetic charging dock which is awesome as it securely holds the straightener in place and can be charged in between uses. Instead of laying it flat on the counter (or on the heat resistant travel pouch it comes with) you can just dock it and pick it back up while working on sections of hair. In terms of battery life itself I expected this to hold the charge longer at this price point. A full charge will last you about 3 hours (it lasts me about 2 and a half days of use) before it needs to be charged again. It's marketed as a way to use less heat to achieve straight strands. I have fine thin hair and use this straightener at 365 degrees and have noticed that my hair starts to wave after a few hours. Meaning, If I straighten my hair today – I'll have to straighten it tomorrow again if I want pin straight strands. I feel it does not keep my hair straight as long as my CHI straightener does. I will continue to use this straightener over my CHI since I love all the features and how it looks overall. My only real complaint is the lack of battery life and that it does not hold my hair straight as long as cheaper options do. If portability is what you are looking for then this is a great choice.lyaadii

Unfortunately, the straightener did not live up to the quality of all of the other Dyson products that I own. First, it does not straighten very well at all. If you’re looking to just get the frizz out of your hair, then it will work but it won’t get it truly straight. I should have returned this as soon as I knew but I decided to live with it and liked the fact that it was cordless. However a couple of months later, the lock button completely fell off! I contacted Dyson customer support multiple times simply to get a replacement button. Finally, they said that they would replace the entire unit. However, at that moment in time they didn’t have the purple in stock. I have the purple hairdryer sitting on a purple stand and asked if I could wait until they had it back in stock to which I was told that wasn’t possible I had to choose from one of the other colors that was available. I chose not to do that and have been using the end of a barrette to lock and unlock the straightener that doesn’t straighten. For reference, In addition to the hairdryer and the straightener, we own three Dyson vacuum cleaners and they have always been fantastic not sure what went wrong with this appliance. I was so excited to finally get to try one of the infamous Dyson hair styling tools! The Dyson Corrale is a flat iron that has the option to be used without a cord and is also rechargeable. The Corrale has a maximum temperature of 410 degrees. I have naturally curly 3c/4a hair that's thick and mid length. I washed and blow dried my hair first and then used the Dyson Corrale to finish off my look. Pros: * cordless option – great because you don't have to worry about the cord getting in the way when using and it can be convenient when on the go * leaves hair shiny and sleek – I have black hair which can sometimes look dull if not styled properly and the Dyson gave my finished look sleekness and with a nice sheen * works great on thicker and curly textured hair – sometimes larger brand products aren't geared towards hair types that some ethic groups have but the Dyson worked great on my thick, course hair which is natural with no chemical straighter. * charge is decent – I was able to straighten roughly 90% of my hair off of a full charge which was about 35 minutes. * digital display makes it easy to know the status of your iron's charge levels and temperature * stand and carrying case come with the iron – the stand is very convenient when using the iron to style Cons: * heavier than the average flat iron – while it wasn't an issue for me just know the iron does have some weight to it..likely due to the rechargeable battery…which can take a moment to get used to * charge – while I think the amount of time the Corrale holds its charge when in use, 30 minutes is not a long time for those who have thicker and longer hair. I was amazed at how amazing this straighter worked on my hair. I have thick, long, and frizzy hair and I had a 1 inch straightener for a very long time and I thought a bigger plate would speed up the process because of how long and thick it is. AND IT DID! It didn't tug on hairs or anything. You don't even have to clamp it hard for it to get straightened. The only part i was upset about is that the product details said it would come with a mat to put my straightener on and it didn't. Why put it in the product details if it doesn't come with it. Packaging could be better if I'm paying over $200 for a straightener. When I bought my Amika straightener it was was very well packaged in a very nice hard case and came with a protector for it. T3 needs to step up their game in their packaging. Overall though, very good straightener for my hair.Can I please get my mat?

I'm not one who has the patience to blow out my hair. The T3single pass is a pleasure to use. It heat up super quick with several adjustable temperature settings. It glides through my curly hair quickly and best of all my hair stays straight for days even in hot humid summer days. I got this as a gift from my sister, otherwise I would not have spent the money on this straightener, I'm sure there are other comparable straighteners out there for much cheaper. However I love my T3! It's so easy to straighten and curl my hair, i actually like the curls my 1.5" straightener makes better than my 1" straightener. I have 2b/2c medium density fine hair that is naturally frizzy and inconsistent so products and appliances are necessary. I'm thankful I have a full head of hair. I've been straightening for twenty years and this is leagues above any flat iron I've tried including my G2 Chi. Why? The two inch plates cover more ground and your straightening time is cut in half. There is no messing with temperature which frankly I never knew the right number anyway. No burning or singing smell. You only need one pass for super sleek results. The iron glides through hair without pulling or snagging anything. You can get close enough to the roots to smooth without burning your scalp. My ends actually look healthy afterward. I personally prefer It's a 10 miracle leave in with keratin when my hair is damp and before blow drying over serums because the ratio of ingredients is balanced. You get heat protection without overloading your hair with silicone. Lastly, I've found that keeping the hair tools unplugged while not in use extends their life. I hope this one lasts years. If you're on the fence and you have medium to long hair that you regularly straighten, you absolutely get what you pay for. The best!!!!Product Lover

Bought this a few weeks ago. Delivery is quick. The straightener is average quality. My hair is really curly and thick and it takes about 45mins – 1hr to get it straight. Have to go over strands a few times to get it very straight. I have used the ghd for a long time and find that the original straighteners were much more efficient and effective. Whilst the wide plate is helpful I don't know if this is the best out there anymore. Wish the quality stayed better over the years. Had to get this one because my last one just stopped working with no warning. It was working one moment and just went dead 🙁 Don't know how I feel about this one, no real improvements or innovation. My hair is also very curly, thick and long and it would be nice to see products catered and improved for these hair types. Also not sure about the claim of "styling long or thick hair types in half the time" I find it's the same time as the last straightener. "efficient heat transfer from the plates into the hair, to give 80% more shine" I find this untrue as well.sf123

I have been straightening my hair since I was a teenager. I am 42 now. I started out with a clothes iron because I have always had long hair (still do!) and it is hard to straighten. Over the years, I have tried TONS of straighteners, hot combs, and other methods in order to straighten my long, wavy/curly hair. My problem was that the straighteners were always too small, they didn't get hot enough, or they required multiple passes to straighten my hair. However…..THIS straightener really worked well on my hair. The first pass got everything straight, the 2nd made it perfect. I do like the design, however I really wish there was a temperature control– I like to pick my own temperature, and this wasn't an option. But that wasn't a deal breaker-â€� since it got my hair super straight without frying my hair, unlike some other straightener hot combs I have. This is my first experience with GHD, and I am impressed. My hair doesn't snag or catch on the plates– they are super smooth. I also don't have any "hand fatigue" holding this straightener (I have RA and sometimes I hand gets tired if the appliance is difficult or awkward to hold.) All in all— a straightener I can really get behind. I have purchased other straightener for over $200 in the past, and I wasn't happy with them..However THIS one was an Influenster "sample" aka #GHDVoxBox and I am in love with it! My hair is more naturally straight and so I do not feel the need to invest hundreds of dollars in a straightener. I just need something that is going to do the job and be affordable. That is exactly what the Conair Infiniti Pro is. I have had this straightener for a few years now and it is still going strong! It has a nice range of heat levels and the straightener itself is lightweight so it is easy to travel with. The main reason I chose this straightener is because of the rainbow coloring of the titanium plates. It is so pretty!! Overall, great and affordable straightener!erin.h

*DISCLAIMER* I received this at no charge in exchange for my honest review. I was thrilled to receive this flat iron to review. It’s always exciting to try out affordable styling tools to see if they can compete with the more expensive ones on the market. This one does a great job at that. I found when using this flat iron that the titanium plates make my hair shinier, and decrease my frizz. While it straightens my hair beautifully, what I really love using this tool for is creating waves and curls. The plastic part of the iron has a rounded shape when the plates end making helping it glide through and twirl to create really nice curls. I have a $160 BaByLyss Pro that doesn’t even curl as well as this one. Another thing I really love about this iron is that it heats up lighting fast. There’s hardly any wait time before I can start styling. And it gets HOT. I mean, HOT. I’m very impressed by those two things alone. What I am NOT impressed with, is the alignment of the plates. When you close the iron, you can clearly see where they meet at the top and as they go down, they get farther and farther apart. When flat irons have this issue they’re more prone to tugging and pulling hairs, which I find does happen with his one. I find it happens mostly when I am working with the short baby hairs around my face, but it happens when I use it all over as well. One other design flaw I also do have to mention, is the buttons being on the outside of the iron. The ones on my BaByLyss tool have them hidden on the inside of the handle, so when I use it my hands don’t accidentally touch them, turning it off or changing the heat setting. This happens to me quite a bit when I use the Conair iron. I will be in the middle of styling and I will try to run it through my hair, nothing happens, I go to look at it and I notice I have turned it off without realizing it. This may not be an issue for some, but it seems to be one for me. All in all, this is truly a very, very nice styling tool for the price tag. This would be an awesome starter tool for young girls just starting out with styling their hair, but also for the seasoned woman who has been using tools like this forever.hannah.c

I was originally sent a used straightener and when I called customer service, they immediately sent me a return label and sent me a brand new one. I was surprised when I got my package that they also sent me a free mini hair dryer. I wasn’t expecting anything feee I just wanted a new product but I was so stoked when I saw the mini hair dryer. It’s the cutest and very powerful for such a small hair dryer. The flat iron was brand new this time as promised by the associate I spoke to, A++ customer service, I just bought a full size hair dryer from them and now I have one to travel with too! Love this straightener. This is my 3rd FHI in the last 15 years. These straighteners work and really hold up for years. I especially love the beveled edge to put a little curl under. Not all straighteners have that feature.Valerie K.

My flat irons cut off while I’m doin hair, since the first try. Randomly power off, and I don’t think I’m getting g even heat distribution from the plates.when I curl the hair , some pieces are straight and sleek, but some pieces look untouched. I'll start off by mentioning the size of this straightener. The Dyson Corrale is bigger and heavier than most straighteners which isn't bad just takes some getting used to. It has a magnetic charging dock which is awesome as it securely holds the straightener in place and can be charged in between uses. Instead of laying it flat on the counter (or on the heat resistant travel pouch it comes with) you can just dock it and pick it back up while working on sections of hair. In terms of battery life itself I expected this to hold the charge longer at this price point. A full charge will last you about 3 hours (it lasts me about 2 and a half days of use) before it needs to be charged again. It's marketed as a way to use less heat to achieve straight strands. I have fine thin hair and use this straightener at 365 degrees and have noticed that my hair starts to wave after a few hours. Meaning, If I straighten my hair today – I'll have to straighten it tomorrow again if I want pin straight strands. I feel it does not keep my hair straight as long as my CHI straightener does. I will continue to use this straightener over my CHI since I love all the features and how it looks overall. My only real complaint is the lack of battery life and that it does not hold my hair straight as long as cheaper options do. If portability is what you are looking for then this is a great choice.lyaadii

I was so excited to finally get to try one of the infamous Dyson hair styling tools! The Dyson Corrale is a flat iron that has the option to be used without a cord and is also rechargeable. The Corrale has a maximum temperature of 410 degrees. I have naturally curly 3c/4a hair that's thick and mid length. I washed and blow dried my hair first and then used the Dyson Corrale to finish off my look. Pros: * cordless option – great because you don't have to worry about the cord getting in the way when using and it can be convenient when on the go * leaves hair shiny and sleek – I have black hair which can sometimes look dull if not styled properly and the Dyson gave my finished look sleekness and with a nice sheen * works great on thicker and curly textured hair – sometimes larger brand products aren't geared towards hair types that some ethic groups have but the Dyson worked great on my thick, course hair which is natural with no chemical straighter. * charge is decent – I was able to straighten roughly 90% of my hair off of a full charge which was about 35 minutes. * digital display makes it easy to know the status of your iron's charge levels and temperature * stand and carrying case come with the iron – the stand is very convenient when using the iron to style Cons: * heavier than the average flat iron – while it wasn't an issue for me just know the iron does have some weight to it..likely due to the rechargeable battery…which can take a moment to get used to * charge – while I think the amount of time the Corrale holds its charge when in use, 30 minutes is not a long time for those who have thicker and longer hair. I wanted to love it. And, after buying the legitimately life-changing Dyson hair dryer, I assumed I'd love it. I should have read the reviews first, because I sure was wrong. I've used A LOT of different straighteners in my life, and this was the worst one in a long, long time. It's not all bad…but it was mostly bad. Pros: – The product itself is beautiful and comes with a really nice, soft velvet travel pouch. – There was noticeably less steam coming from the tool as I used it; I assume this was indicative that less heat damage was being caused, since I used the same amount of product I always do – Loved the cordless feature, docking station, and not being stuck near the electrical outlet – Heats up very quickly Cons: – I had more hairs pulled out and broken than with any straightener I've ever used. It was actually alarming. I followed all of Dyson's recommendations – my hair was completely dry, I applied some tension (but not so much that I was just pulling on my hair), and divided my hair into at least 3 sections (in some areas it was 4 or 5). I also passed much smaller sections of those sub-sections through the straightener at any given time. No matter what I did, the straightener did not glide easily and either felt like or was actually pulling my hair. – Definitely heavier than the average straightener, but not so much that your arm will get tired or sore as some other reviews have indicated – The battery life isn't the greatest…but you can always just plug the (very lengthy) cord directly into the device – It didn't outperform other, less expensive straighteners in terms of results. It almost always took more than one pass to fully straighten my hair, and it didn't look any better or smoother than it would otherwise – Difficult to straighten the roots In summary: don't waste your money on this. If you're going to splurge on a hair tool, get the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer. Because for all the heat damage the Corrale may be sparing you from, it more than makes up for in the physical breakage it causes, and the hairs that remain won't look any more spectacular than after using a less expensive straightener.
