I've owned my straightener for a couple years and it still works as well as when I bought it. The plates are smooth and don't break my hair off. It heats up quickly and has an automatic shut off for safety. It has several heat settings. I can work with fairly large hair sections and it comes out straight with one pass. I looked through all of the reviews before I made my purchase. I’ve always wanted a Ghd straightener but could never justify the price until now. Shaver Shop had a sale on and with pay pal pay on four, it wasn’t a huge purchase in one hit so I though stuff it and bought it. Absolutely best decision ever! My hair is the straightest it’s ever been, and it stays fresh all day long. It heats up within 30 seconds and you don’t have to worry about it getting too hot or changing the temperature. I love the long cord as well, it makes it super easy to use and I don’t have to restrict myself by the cord length as to where I use it. I can do my hair once washed and dried and then quickly go over it in the morning for a freshen up. Without a doubt the best straightener I’ve ever used and I won’t buy anything else. I have found my new GHD white hair straightener to be a great product it straightens my hair leaving it looking glossy, straight and healthy. I have used it also to put waves in my hair following the tutorials on the GHD website, I didn't know that it was possible to create waves and curles with straighteners but because this product has a rounded barrel it worked well for creating waves. My hair is natrually wavey and can be prone to dryness and frizz but I have found that using the staighteners together with hair products tends to help these problems and make me feel more confident that my hair is going to look good throughout the day / evening. It is an added bonus that these new hair straighteners are designed to only use an optimal amount of heat as I do not want to damage my already dry hair by subjecting it to excessive heat. The lead is long and the swivel base to the lead makes the product easy to use. I would have liked a heat mat or pouch with this product but that is the only negative thing. I purchased this GHD Platinum styler that was recommended by my hair stylist & I wish I would have done more research on my own first and read more reviews before spending so much money on this flat iron. I am sadly disappointed in this straighter as you can't adjust the heat setting and the temperature "adjusts to your hair." My hair is very fine, thin and curly and I am not impressed. It does not leave my hair straight compared to a less expensive straightener & sadly the straightener's plates catch my hair and pulls my hair out & gets stuck in the plates. The straightener has damaged my ends and pulls out hair constantly. The plus and cord are long and heavy and clunky. Not to mention, the sound when you turn on the straighter is so loud and you can't mute the sound or sound level. If I could give this product a zero rating, I would. It doesn't work for me who has super fined thin hair & it's not worth the cost to ruin my hair. I would defiantly not recommend this hair straightener to others.Lionpsu

I don’t feel like the flatiron is working to its full potential I’ve used the FHI flat iron before but based on this recent purchase I made I don’t think the flat iron works the same. It seems to take a while to heat up and when it does it constantly shuts back off. It might be a safety feature in order for it not to overheat but I have very thick and curly hair and in order for me to properly straighten my hair I need my flat iron to stay hot enough. I’m so disappointed because like I said I have used this same flat iron from a friend and it seemed to be the only thing to straighten my hair good enough with out damaging my natural hair but it’s not working the same.Rosanna S.

I don't typically write reviews. The CHI G2 flat iron is an excellent professional results tool. The passes at the roots of my hair are not uncomfortable/hot on my scalp. The previous flat iron I owned for 10 years began to pull my hair. Passes at the roots of my hair were uncomfortably hot. I decided to purchase a professional quality tool this time around. The plates glide smoothly over my hair with no pulling/tugging. I don't feel heat on my scalp yet I can straighten the roots of my hair. The auto heat setting of 370 degrees is ideal for my hair type. Results look like the salon results I get at the salon. In my opinion, it is critical to use a good quality heat protectant. I purchased professional quality heat protectant and leave-in conditioner to use with the CHI G2. I believe the products helped with the results I got with the CHI G2.Loja

That extra quarter inch makes a difference for longer hair. The heat is consistent. Love the digital settings. I use medium prefixed setting and within a minute it is fully heated. You'll only need one pass through to get smooth results. There is no tugging or pulling the hair. You can get close to the roots easily. I run the iron all the way down except the last inch to protect my ends. Also, the plates are positioned just right so that you never burn your scalp. Just received my new Chi G2 straightener today. I LOVE IT! it works so good! My older original Chi still works but I noticed my hair just wasn’t getting as straight as it used to so I purchased this one and it works soooo good! I love how it has a digital temp display, it grips the hair nicely without having a pulling feeling, and straightens fast! I did my whole head it about 10 minutes. I haven’t tried curls with it yet but am excited to do so. This particular straightener is nice because you can manually set your own temp up to 425 degrees or filter through their preset temps designed for specific hair types (like fine, medium, or coarse).chelsea.s

The Hot Tools Pro Artist Dual Flat Iron is different with the dual plates and allows you to adjust the temperature on each. The controls are easy to understand and use intuitively. The construction is solid and well made. The coating on the outside is grippey and feels good in my hands. It is nice that the cord is so long and can be used at a location farther from an outlet. I like the clean design that makes it look elegant and simple. The flat iron heated really fast and saves your last temperature setting from the prior use. It was easy to use to straighten my hair and it felt smooth to glide through the hair. Unfortunately, it is not good as a multi-use hair tool. I found that it was difficult to use when trying to put waves and curls in. The flat design on the tops and the gap made it difficult to twist and glide. I ended up with a lot of strands pulled out and creases. I am not sure if the dual design is much different from having one plate but it does seem to be able to handle a lot of hair by having 2. Overall, I think this is a good flat iron if you want to just straighten your hair but it is not versatile for other uses.AllieMM

Yall, this flat iron is more than words can say !! It exceeded my expectations by far and i am absolutely in love !! First, I love that you can either straighten or do a wave! This gives you a world of creations that you can do to your hair !! It has 4 plates for styling and you can customize the temperature on either side to style however you want which is phenomenal!! It has a 2 hour automatic shutoff which is awesome, that way you dont have to worry about burning your house down if your in a hurry and forget to turn it off!! I also love that it has 30 different heat settings for all types of hair !! I have extremely big and frizzy hair as seen below in the picture, the next picture is of me going over my hair one time , this is mind blowing !! The design of this flat iron is different in that it has two separate plates. Each plate is very narrow, with a gap in between them. Each plate can also be set to it's own temperature. So far I have set both plates to the same temperature because I switch the direction I hold it. I believe the point is to have the plate that passes through the hair last to be cooler than the first. One good pass and my hair is SMOOTH. Unless I have a really frizzy, kinky piece, I usually do not need to pass through my hair a second time. The max temperature is 455 but I don't need to go any higher than 400 for my hair. In the past, I've used my 1.5" flat iron to curl my hair, so I was curious how this thicker design with two separate plates would work to curl my hair. It does work, it just leaves wider curls which is to be expected since it is a wider flat iron. I actually love the wide curls I'm able to achieve with this flat iron. Without one negative thing to say about this product, I would highly recommend it!MamaM

I had an older version of this hair styler that lasted several years. When it finally was time to retire it I bought this one thinking it would be the same just updated. It did not work as well to straighten my 3a curly hair and after only one year of use, the on/off button has been faulty and then completely stopped working. I will be replacing.Andrea

I absolutely love my new flat iron that also allows for the ease of doing my hair while it’s wet. What a time saver it has been for me going to Nursing school & Work! The quality is excellent. It has air holes allowing it to vent and express steam and dry your hair while it is wet or damp. I set it at 300 temperature and it takes 10 seconds to heat up so it’s ready to start straightening right away. However it does take a bit for it to cool down. The iron is a great size for those of us that small irons aren’t enough. You can take a whole big section and it flattens easily and looks great. So bigger sections also allow for getting done a lot quicker. No need to take small sections to get a great look. I love the 360 swivel of the cord that keeps it from getting tangled so easily and creating a short life for the iron. You can use both hands without constantly trying to move the cord out of the way. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great innovative flat iron that’s efficient, great design and creates great styles. My hair is very fine and tends to frizz at the mention of the word humidity! I love straightening my hair, but I don't like that I have to dry it first or having to leave it air dry and straighten it the next day. This Wet2Style 1 3/4 Flat Iron is my new best friend. I can straighten my freshly shampooed hair after a simple towel dry instead of spending the extra time blow drying it with the hair dryer. I was a bit skeptical at first, because I have admittedly used my traditional flat iron on my damp hair (I know, a traditional styler is DAMAGING to wet hair!) and it just did not give me the sleek results I was looking for. This Remington Flat Iron gives fabulous results! It takes a few extra passes over wet hair versus dry hair, but the results are impressive. The size is just right for my shoulder length locks. I have type 4 hair and i was able to get my hair like I just came from the Dominican salon. The key is to put heat protectant spray while it’s wet, blow dry real good, then use the chase method to straighten. I put the heat on 20 or 25, not all the way to 30 After. I turned the heat down more and made loose flat iron curls to give it more body. I’m no hair stylist but this was easy to use Also, I used OGX PROTECTING AND SILK BLOWOUT SPRAY. I can’t speak for the longevity of this yet, but ease of use and quality for price? 5 stars. I have been using this to curl my short hair (hits mid neck), and this gives me the perfect texture I am looking for. As someone who has had long hair before, I can’t say if this would be successful for that. Finally I can achieve a really smooth style on my unruly stubborn hair without damaging it. After watching a program on how using hair straighteners at too high a temperature was damaging for hair I had largely given up trying to straighten my hair as previously the only way to achieve a smooth style was using the maximum heat. On the day I got my Panasonic hair straighteners my hair was frizzy and wavy from damp air so after a quick read of the instructions I heated them up to 180 C and within a few minutes my hair was tamed and sleek again. I didn't need to use any additional products to achieve this, also the next day my hair looked just as good. The instructions are very clear and give plenty of information about the Nanoe technology and how to use the straighteners. The instructions are very clear and the straighteners are very simple to use. I like the automatic switch off feature that ensures that if you forget to turn them off they will shut off after 60 minutes. No more worrying if you have left them turned on when you have gone out. One addition I would like to see is a bag to keep them in or even better a heat proof wrap that you can rest them on to protect any surface you put them on. An older pair of straighteners I had included one of these. They work equally well with just washed and dried hair, in fact they work so well that I don't have to spend so much time trying to style my hair with the brush as the straighteners soon have my hair smooth and silky. You can easily select any temperature between 150C and 230C and I have found they work very well at lower temperatures. They heat up very quickly and glide through the hair with no pulls or tugs. My hair has never looked so shiny and healthy, the Nanoe technology seems to work well. The whole package and the straighteners themselves look very luxurious and would make a lovely gift for someone. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do have some basis of comparison having used other brands in the past including ghd and babyliss. I like the option of being able to set different temperatures (although personally I don't know why you'd need to) which some may find useful. However it would be helpful if the setting was remembered when the straighteners are switched off as each time you have to press the button multiple times to get to the 230' temperature. I didn't notice an audible alert to say the temperature was reached, this would be a handy feature. Upon using the straighteners, I found that they tugged my hair a little which made their use unpleasant. There's also a little catch /noggin inside where your hair can easily get caught in which pulls further. With respect to positives, I like the claimed hydration although I'm not sure anyone could really identify this.Hughesy84

I bought this so I could use it to curl my hair and I thought the claim that it has this amazing technology to hydrate the hair also sounded good. I have now tried it a few times and I have ended up with damaged and dry hair. It does not work and requires several passed just to straighten my hair. Curling is impossible. I have now bought the Revlon straightener and I am very happy as it works in much lower temperatures and is very effective as a curler. Revlon is much cheaper as well. This straightener has floating plates… for me and my thin hair that's a bad thing. They do not perfectly align with each other without applying a lot of pressure. For example, if you close the straightener until it meets and hold up to a light, you will see light shine through part of the plates. Once you squeeze harder and the plates move, then it closes all the way and evenly. This is why hair is getting snagged and being pulled. It's tight in one spot but not another. For bangs or thin hair this straightener will not work for you.Liz

Okay so I'm not sure how to rate this one, I bought this straightener online because I've heard really great thing about Paul Mitchell hot tools. I thought this was a great price & I was in need of a new straightener so of course I bought it. Everything online says it's "Paul Mitchell" however when I received my order, I noticed that Nowhere on the box or the straightener itself does it say Paul Mitchell, absolutely nowhere! So I am not sure if this is a knockoff or what, I didn't even know that Ulta could sell knock-off's!!! I've been sleeping on this brand for years and finally decided to try it… game changer! I had the prima in my hand but figured why not start with this one first? Now I'm wishing I would've paid the extra $80 because this basic one is exceptional so I'm sure the higher model is excellent! After blow drying, I was able to get my naturally curly hair bone straight in < 25 mins and the style has stayed for going on three days now with no touch ups (and taking good care of it at night). Honestly wish I would've gotten this forever ago, could've saved my ends and my time by not having to touch it up daily. I love it!!! As for some of the negative reviews, I assume it's user error. I'll start off by mentioning the size of this straightener. The Dyson Corrale is bigger and heavier than most straighteners which isn't bad just takes some getting used to. It has a magnetic charging dock which is awesome as it securely holds the straightener in place and can be charged in between uses. Instead of laying it flat on the counter (or on the heat resistant travel pouch it comes with) you can just dock it and pick it back up while working on sections of hair. In terms of battery life itself I expected this to hold the charge longer at this price point. A full charge will last you about 3 hours (it lasts me about 2 and a half days of use) before it needs to be charged again. It's marketed as a way to use less heat to achieve straight strands. I have fine thin hair and use this straightener at 365 degrees and have noticed that my hair starts to wave after a few hours. Meaning, If I straighten my hair today – I'll have to straighten it tomorrow again if I want pin straight strands. I feel it does not keep my hair straight as long as my CHI straightener does. I will continue to use this straightener over my CHI since I love all the features and how it looks overall. My only real complaint is the lack of battery life and that it does not hold my hair straight as long as cheaper options do. If portability is what you are looking for then this is a great choice.lyaadii

I was so excited to finally get to try one of the infamous Dyson hair styling tools! The Dyson Corrale is a flat iron that has the option to be used without a cord and is also rechargeable. The Corrale has a maximum temperature of 410 degrees. I have naturally curly 3c/4a hair that's thick and mid length. I washed and blow dried my hair first and then used the Dyson Corrale to finish off my look. Pros: * cordless option – great because you don't have to worry about the cord getting in the way when using and it can be convenient when on the go * leaves hair shiny and sleek – I have black hair which can sometimes look dull if not styled properly and the Dyson gave my finished look sleekness and with a nice sheen * works great on thicker and curly textured hair – sometimes larger brand products aren't geared towards hair types that some ethic groups have but the Dyson worked great on my thick, course hair which is natural with no chemical straighter. * charge is decent – I was able to straighten roughly 90% of my hair off of a full charge which was about 35 minutes. * digital display makes it easy to know the status of your iron's charge levels and temperature * stand and carrying case come with the iron – the stand is very convenient when using the iron to style Cons: * heavier than the average flat iron – while it wasn't an issue for me just know the iron does have some weight to it..likely due to the rechargeable battery…which can take a moment to get used to * charge – while I think the amount of time the Corrale holds its charge when in use, 30 minutes is not a long time for those who have thicker and longer hair. I wanted to love it. And, after buying the legitimately life-changing Dyson hair dryer, I assumed I'd love it. I should have read the reviews first, because I sure was wrong. I've used A LOT of different straighteners in my life, and this was the worst one in a long, long time. It's not all bad…but it was mostly bad. Pros: – The product itself is beautiful and comes with a really nice, soft velvet travel pouch. – There was noticeably less steam coming from the tool as I used it; I assume this was indicative that less heat damage was being caused, since I used the same amount of product I always do – Loved the cordless feature, docking station, and not being stuck near the electrical outlet – Heats up very quickly Cons: – I had more hairs pulled out and broken than with any straightener I've ever used. It was actually alarming. I followed all of Dyson's recommendations – my hair was completely dry, I applied some tension (but not so much that I was just pulling on my hair), and divided my hair into at least 3 sections (in some areas it was 4 or 5). I also passed much smaller sections of those sub-sections through the straightener at any given time. No matter what I did, the straightener did not glide easily and either felt like or was actually pulling my hair. – Definitely heavier than the average straightener, but not so much that your arm will get tired or sore as some other reviews have indicated – The battery life isn't the greatest…but you can always just plug the (very lengthy) cord directly into the device – It didn't outperform other, less expensive straighteners in terms of results. Let me start by saying I've been doing my hair for a very long time, I prefer a voluminous messy look or a classy tousled wavy one. My hair is on the thicker side, but the hair itself is pretty fine. It's down to the middle of my back with quite a few long and medium layers. Also there is a slight wave to it if I were to just let it airdry, and holds a curl somewhat decent, but not the best. It is healthy with quite a bit of shine, I definitely prioritize taking care of my hair, for sure. I try to use really good products on my hair, and that includes tools, so I usually have to save up for them, they tend to be pricey! Lol. I have 2 straighteners from 2 very well known brands that both tug, catch, and pull breaking my hair… So, needless to say they are collecting expensive dust in my room. When I got the opportunity to try this tool from GHD I was beyond excited, for once I didn't have to go without to get a quality tool. I received it on Jan 24th and have used it almost every day since. I'm actually having FUN doing my hair again. I tested the ghd original styler on my 2A/2B hair, slightly damp and with a heat-protectant cream. The box is sturdy and feels nice, definitely great for gift-giving and can be used to store the styler. You plug the styler then hold the power button for a second, which lights up and makes a little sound. After only about 4 seconds, a little tune notifies that the styler is hot, which really helps with avoiding accidental burns. And it actually heats up that fast!! There is an initial burnt metal smell, but it dissipated quickly and I haven’t smelled it since. This styler is HOT. It felt like I was sitting next to a heater. But for me, the intense heat did make styling more efficient! I definitely recommend using a heat protectant and keeping an eye on how your hair reacts to this styler!! My personal method of straightening hair with this styler is to do a smooth downward swipe (not hold) on a section of hair, let the hair cool just until it is just warm and not scorching (you can tell), then repeat as necessary until the settled hair is styled as desired. I found that holding the styler in one place will end up creating an indent, but it was surprisingly easy to smooth it over with another quick swipe. Holding the styler is great for some styles, like waves, and the indenting is just something to keep in mind when straightening hair. I was surprised at how smooth, no-frizz, and soft my hair actually was afterwards. The strands weren’t crunchy at all, and they even flowed weightlessly like in a commercial! This ghd original styler worked great for me. The design is easy to wield without accidentally touching skin or straining your hands, and it doesn’t produce a cheap chemical/burnt smell. Overall, I very much like it! If you have been looking for a styler and are willing to splurge on a product that actually works, this is a product that follows through on hype. I have very long, highlighted, thick, combination hair. My top layer being relatively straight, and bottom layers being wavy and curly with sections that are kinky. Now that that’s out of the way… I used the Original 1” Styler 3 different ways, because some days I’m lazy, and some days I actually have the time to put “pro-effort” into my hairstyle, either by straightening or curling it. For my thick hair the Classic Styler straightens better than it curls. If I want the curls to last all day and not fall out I have to start curling my hair from its natural state. With that being said, in order for me to get smooth curls that don’t have any creases or kink in the individual hair strands, I have to pass over my hair at least once before I go in for the actual curling motion… which means when I actually go over it that second time the curl it isn’t as curly, and even has some areas that want to fall immediately. This is not due to the temperature of the straightener though, because it does get perfectly hot. I’m leaning more towards it being the single zone technology paired with my hair being very thick. If you have thin to average hair you’ll have an amazing result curling. When it came to taking the time to pro-straighten my hair by taking 1 inch sections, I really like how the plates glide over the sections of hair easily. It’s also not heavy, and I don’t have to squeeze hard to get good pressure on the hair; which means my hands and arms didn’t get tired. After my hair cooled it was 100% straight, with a lovely, soft and frizz free feel. This lasted all day long too. Last thing I did was “lazy” straightened it by not sectioning or isolating any of it at all… So starting with air dried hair in its natural form, I ran the straightener through my hair randomly. This is where the Classic Styler really shines! It DOES NOT pull on hair or snag at all. Not even a little! I was super impressed by this. The results of this lazy method were fantastic for putting minimal effort in! I cannot stress this enough. I really think that the Classic 1” Styler is a great 1st time straightener if you aren’t ready for a slightly larger investment with one of their higher end straighteners with more features, and you’ll love the way this straightener performs! Even though I mentioned above that I didn’t get a great result curling due to my hair type, I’m still giving it a 5 star rating – My reasoning for this is, for its intended function as their “Classic” option it does the job very well!BriBrittBrittany

I've owned my straightener for a couple years and it still works as well as when I bought it. The plates are smooth and don't break my hair off. It heats up quickly and has an automatic shut off for safety. It has several heat settings. I can work with fairly large hair sections and it comes out straight with one pass. It is skinny enough that you can get to your hairline easily. This has definitely been worth the price.amber.g

I was disappointed with this item. This brand and product was the first flat iron I owned, after the first one broke several years after, I was gifted another brand that after several years broke as well. I decided to go back to CHI, but the temperature didn’t seem very high and I had to repeat ironing the same area several times. I don’t remember this happening with the first one I owned. Granted, I have coarse, thick wavy hair, but it was taking me a long time to do my hair. I have thick, wavy coarse hair that turns into a ball of frizz at the mention of humidity. All the product in the world can’t tame this wild beast. I read tons of reviews and did my research and decided this little gem would “hopefully” give me the most bang for my buck. It didn’t disappoint. Chi’s “advanced ceramic plate technology” leaves my hair soft, shiny and straight as stick when I want and with beautiful curls when I want to look glamorous. In the past, creating curls with could be a challenge. Ergonomically it was so much easier for me to maneuver and master straight iron curls. I used to have the older model which I loved, it was literally the best straightener ever, kept my hair straight for days ! I decided to buy this newer model since my older one gave up on me. It's a great straightener but my hair does not stay straight for hours .Towards the end of the day my hair isn't completely straight anymore, it gets frizzy and by the next day it's back to wavy . I'm not sure if it's just my bleached damaged hair ?. But other than that it does a great job of heating up fast , not snagging my hair, it doesn't get stuck on the plates , and it straightens my hair in less than 30min.EM

I am really pleased with this flat iron. I have owned both Chi and GHD and now this Paul Mitchell I have had for several weeks now. This Paul Mitchell is my favorite of the three. I had my Chi forever, like no joke 10 years and it finally gave out on me. My friend had a Paul Mitchell flat iron I had used before and really liked it, so decided to go with this one when I needed to buy a new flat iron. I am so glad I did. I have fine, naturally wavy hair. This straightens and smooths like a dream. My hair doesn't snag, it heats up quickly, and wow It really does make my hair so soft and smooth. I am not a fan of straightners but I wanted to give one a shot. After reading reviews, I was sold. oI have only used it one time and I am impressed at how fast it heats up and cools down. I was originally sent a used straightener and when I called customer service, they immediately sent me a return label and sent me a brand new one. I was surprised when I got my package that they also sent me a free mini hair dryer. I wasn’t expecting anything feee I just wanted a new product but I was so stoked when I saw the mini hair dryer. My flat irons cut off while I’m doin hair, since the first try. I was ready for a new flat iron after I fried mine traveling so first off Id like to say this works for multiple voltage and amps… Yay for all us travelers that don't want to fry our expensive products! I am thrilled with the adjustable heat settings, the auto shutoff and how darn fast it heats up. I have alot of hair and it has a slight wave if it dries naturally and this iron does a beautiful job on my hair. I've seen a couple of reviews out here warning about fakes, I bought this one from Amazon.com and it said shipped and sold from Amazon. When I took it out of the box it had the GFCI and the warnings engraved in the plastic, had several warnings on the plug and the normal sticker on the cord. My wife has been using and says it works like the last one. I would say then that the ones straight from Amazon or at least this one is the real deal. I posted a couple of pictures as I'm no expert and you can decide. I was just worried paying $90 for an iron with the possibility of it not being real. Luckily it was what it was advertised as. I absolutely loved this flat iron!!! It works so well on curly hair. BUT I recently traveled to Australia & took the iron with me. Total mistake. My expensive flat iron broke & I was no longer able to 1 regulate the temperature (my hair was fried) or 2 turn it off. I thought it may be the power converter so I stopped using it over there. Once I came back to the states it was the same thing. Heats to the hottest setting and would not turn off. Needless to say it went into the garbage. But I am on my way to ulta to get a new one. I used to own a Hot Tools flat iron, but once I received this flat iron for Christmas a few years ago, the Hot Tools one was promptly donated. The best part of this flat iron is how securely it clamps onto my hair. I don't need an iron grip in order to get good tension; the flat iron does it on its own. It also heats up extremely quickly – if I spray heat protectant on my hair and then immediately turn on the flat iron, the heat protectant will not be dry before the flat iron comes to temp. I also love the multiple temperature settings. I have loosely wavy hair that holds heat styling well, and I always have the temperature set to 365° F. My sister has curly hair, so when I'm doing her hair, we either keep the temperature at 365° or increase it one setting (to around 400°) depending on the day. I also love the aesthetics of this flat iron and of Kristin Ess' entire line of tools. The soft touch is nice and grippy, and it's never slipped out of my hand. I've owned this flat iron for years, and even though I don't straighten my hair every day, I've never had an issue with anything rubbing off. This is the first, and probably only, flat iron I would recommend to anyone asking for it.Katie

I have the nanoblack 3-in-one flat iron (couldn’t find it in Influenster) the full size, not the mini. It has a 9ft cord that moves with the iron (like if you’re doing curls) it’s not fixed to it, this is helpful if you’re like me have hair past your butt + it helps keep your cord from getting twisted. This iron is beautiful, it has a very soft silky feel to it is super sleek looking. It’s fairly light weight comfortable to hold. My hand wrist don’t get tired half way through doing my hair. It doesn’t have a lock on it to keep it closed but it does come with a cap you can slide over the end which keeps it closed, the instructions sheet says the cap is heat proof but I don’t quite trust that it is so I leave the iron in my sink until it cools down before putting the cap on (which fits quite snugly) hanging it up. As far as heat up time WOW this thing heats up FAST! It took less than 30 seconds for it to get up to temp! The sides are rounded so you can easily do curls without getting crease lines in them, although I haven’t quite mastered the technique of curling with a flat iron yet. One thing I was worried about was that hair would snag but after using it a few times that’s no longer a concern. My hair slides through it like silk. It has ceramic plates which are great for those of us who tend to get static hair after using hot tools (ugh the worst) It has a few different heat settings. I did have to look up how to do that since there’s no dial or specific button for that but it was easy to do. Just keep clicking the power button quickly until it’s the temp you want. When you plug it in you have to hit the power button, it doesn’t just start heating up on its own like other irons I’ve owned in the past. With all that being said I definitely do recommend this iron if you’re in the market for a new one. It came in a really nice heavyweight cardboard box with a magnetic flap, I’m sure most will throw it away but if you’re like me keep the boxes to repurpose or so your tools are more protected during travel this is a good box that won’t be crushed or damaged easily.krystal .d

I usually only ever buy the cheap straighteners and they get the job done but the results were never as good as I get from the salon and their high-quality tools. Well, the Miss Priss gives me the lasting results I want. It’s a beautiful color, comfortable to use, I love the temp display and range of temp options. The cord is plenty long enough. And I’m able to quickly and easily straighten or curl my hair usually in the first past. My only complaint is that the controls are on the inside of the handle instead of in an easier to access location on the outside or side of the handle.Roseanne M.

Shaver Shop had a sale on and with pay pal pay on four, it wasn’t a huge purchase in one hit so I though stuff it and bought it. Absolutely best decision ever! My hair is the straightest it’s ever been, and it stays fresh all day long. It heats up within 30 seconds and you don’t have to worry about it getting too hot or changing the temperature. I love the long cord as well, it makes it super easy to use and I don’t have to restrict myself by the cord length as to where I use it. I have found my new GHD white hair straightener to be a great product it straightens my hair leaving it looking glossy, straight and healthy. I have used it also to put waves in my hair following the tutorials on the GHD website, I didn't know that it was possible to create waves and curles with straighteners but because this product has a rounded barrel it worked well for creating waves. My hair is natrually wavey and can be prone to dryness and frizz but I have found that using the staighteners together with hair products tends to help these problems and make me feel more confident that my hair is going to look good throughout the day / evening. It is an added bonus that these new hair straighteners are designed to only use an optimal amount of heat as I do not want to damage my already dry hair by subjecting it to excessive heat. The lead is long and the swivel base to the lead makes the product easy to use. I would have liked a heat mat or pouch with this product but that is the only negative thing. Overall I am so pleased i have this product and i recommend it.Nicola999

I purchased this GHD Platinum styler that was recommended by my hair stylist & I wish I would have done more research on my own first and read more reviews before spending so much money on this flat iron. I am sadly disappointed in this straighter as you can't adjust the heat setting and the temperature "adjusts to your hair." My hair is very fine, thin and curly and I am not impressed. It does not leave my hair straight compared to a less expensive straightener & sadly the straightener's plates catch my hair and pulls my hair out & gets stuck in the plates. The straightener has damaged my ends and pulls out hair constantly. The plus and cord are long and heavy and clunky. Not to mention, the sound when you turn on the straighter is so loud and you can't mute the sound or sound level. If I could give this product a zero rating, I would. It doesn't work for me who has super fined thin hair & it's not worth the cost to ruin my hair. I would defiantly not recommend this hair straightener to others.Lionpsu
