20 Best Straightening Iron For Fine Hair (Feb 2023 Update)

I've owned my straightener for a couple years and it still works as well as when I bought it. The plates are smooth and don't break my hair off. It heats up quickly and has an automatic shut off for safety. It has several heat settings. I can work with fairly large hair sections and it comes out straight with one pass. It is skinny enough that you can get to your hairline easily. This has definitely been worth the price.amber.g

This brand and product was the first flat iron I owned, after the first one broke several years after, I was gifted another brand that after several years broke as well. I decided to go back to CHI, but the temperature didn’t seem very high and I had to repeat ironing the same area several times. I don’t remember this happening with the first one I owned. Granted, I have coarse, thick wavy hair, but it was taking me a long time to do my hair. I have thick, wavy coarse hair that turns into a ball of frizz at the mention of humidity. All the product in the world can’t tame this wild beast. I read tons of reviews and did my research and decided this little gem would “hopefully” give me the most bang for my buck. It didn’t disappoint. Chi’s “advanced ceramic plate technology” leaves my hair soft, shiny and straight as stick when I want and with beautiful curls when I want to look glamorous. In the past, creating curls with could be a challenge. Ergonomically it was so much easier for me to maneuver and master straight iron curls. I used to own a Hot Tools flat iron, but once I received this flat iron for Christmas a few years ago, the Hot Tools one was promptly donated. The best part of this flat iron is how securely it clamps onto my hair. I don't need an iron grip in order to get good tension; the flat iron does it on its own. It also heats up extremely quickly – if I spray heat protectant on my hair and then immediately turn on the flat iron, the heat protectant will not be dry before the flat iron comes to temp. I also love the multiple temperature settings. I have loosely wavy hair that holds heat styling well, and I always have the temperature set to 365° F. My sister has curly hair, so when I'm doing her hair, we either keep the temperature at 365° or increase it one setting (to around 400°) depending on the day. I also love the aesthetics of this flat iron and of Kristin Ess' entire line of tools. The soft touch is nice and grippy, and it's never slipped out of my hand. I've owned this flat iron for years, and even though I don't straighten my hair every day, I've never had an issue with anything rubbing off. I have the nanoblack 3-in-one flat iron (couldn’t find it in Influenster) the full size, not the mini. It has a 9ft cord that moves with the iron (like if you’re doing curls) it’s not fixed to it, this is helpful if you’re like me have hair past your butt + it helps keep your cord from getting twisted. This iron is beautiful, it has a very soft silky feel to it is super sleek looking. It’s fairly light weight comfortable to hold. My hand wrist don’t get tired half way through doing my hair. It doesn’t have a lock on it to keep it closed but it does come with a cap you can slide over the end which keeps it closed, the instructions sheet says the cap is heat proof but I don’t quite trust that it is so I leave the iron in my sink until it cools down before putting the cap on (which fits quite snugly) hanging it up. As far as heat up time WOW this thing heats up FAST! It took less than 30 seconds for it to get up to temp! The sides are rounded so you can easily do curls without getting crease lines in them, although I haven’t quite mastered the technique of curling with a flat iron yet. One thing I was worried about was that hair would snag but after using it a few times that’s no longer a concern. My hair slides through it like silk. It has ceramic plates which are great for those of us who tend to get static hair after using hot tools (ugh the worst) It has a few different heat settings. I did have to look up how to do that since there’s no dial or specific button for that but it was easy to do. Just keep clicking the power button quickly until it’s the temp you want. When you plug it in you have to hit the power button, it doesn’t just start heating up on its own like other irons I’ve owned in the past. With all that being said I definitely do recommend this iron if you’re in the market for a new one. T3 is a brand I love already. I’ve purchased three blow dryers over the years because I love them that much. I don’t straighten my hair that often for no particular reason but I decided to try the Lucea 1'' Professional Straightening Styling Flat Iron. To be honest, I didn’t like it at first only because I was trying to use it as a curling iron to create waves which was an epic fail. I’m not sure if it’s just above my pay grade or I don’t have the dexterity but it didn’t work nonetheless 😂. I even watched videos on YouTube and it looked so easy 😠. I do like it however as a flat iron. This really has no bells or whistles. It’s a simple, straightforward flat iron. It has nine heat settings and it comes with a chart so you know the perfect temperature for your particular hair type. My hair glides through effortlessly without any snagging or pulling and my hair comes out shiny, smooth but still has body. I don’t like when flat irons make the hair pin straight. It lacks body, depth and fullness and I don’t think it’s a flattering look. This one luckily doesn’t do that. It tames flyaways, frizz and makes the hair look healthier. I have a new original CHI analog flat iron, but kind of missed having the option of adjusting the heat level (I got the one that is set at 392) when styling my hair so decided to splurge on a T3 as a back up. I really wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do, but I am really glad I invested in this because it is probably one of the best flat irons I've used in years. It has its particular cons – I would like a lock on the plates to keep them closed when not in use, and I think it does slightly dry out the hair a wee bit more than others, but, it does style better, so! The way the plates are shaped, you can do perfect waves and red carpet curls without needing to manipulate your hair a lot. I was testing this the day I got it, and was able to get beautiful, shiny, bouncy curls by simply rolling the flat iron and twisting right after while the hair was still hot. Oh, and it gets HOT! Like, super HOT! I turned it down a little because even at level 4, I felt a good amount of heat coming off the plates. Surprisingly, you can hold the iron without gloves or a cloth and not burn yourself. It is slightly more drying than my CHI as I previously mentioned, but I think it's a lot more versatile and more adept at creating a wider range of styles, so that is a big plus for me. I had been wanting to get a straighter at a good price and I found this one which was about $20. Overall I really liked this straightener. My hair is fine, type 2b so straightening my hair was very fast. The first time I tried it I didn’t have that much time so I didn’t section off my hair and straighten a section at a time. I was still able to get very good results. I would have liked the straightener to help me more with my frizzy hair, but hey, this can’t solve all my problems. The straightener heats up fast so that’s a plus. It would have been helpful for the display to light up so I could see the temperature but it’s not a huge problem for me. Don’t waste your time and money on this product. I bought it because it was on sale for Black Friday and I was due for a new straightener. However, this straightener struggled to heat up. I tried to restart my outlet and everything then it worked ONLY ONCE. It never heated up after and started showing “Error” on the small screen. I have been using this flat iron consistently over the last couple of weeks, and here are my thoughts and views on the product, itself, and how it performs. My hair is rather thick and naturally wavy and it rarely ever just does what I want it to do. It requires high heat and styling tools and products if I am trying to achieve a sleek and straight look. With this flat iron alone, I have not been able to achieve that look. I feel that 410 degrees is just not a heat may possibly not be high enough heat for the texture of my hair. I also had a hard time reading the digital temperature setting. I think it would help to have a backlight with this setting. Upon receiving this product, I noticed it had a very new smell… that of a product which was brand new and had never been used. The flat iron smells somewhat like burnt plastic when it is first turned on and I did smell it several times after the first use. I don't smell it anymore though and it wasn't that bothersome to me. I just associated that smell with it being brand new and recently manufactured. In all fairness, I think that this is a pretty good product when compared to others in the same pricing bracket. It's a good value for the price. I have been a long time user of Remington styling tools and have had favorable experiences with all of those which I have ever owned and used. I've been sleeping on this brand for years and finally decided to try it… game changer! I had the prima in my hand but figured why not start with this one first? Now I'm wishing I would've paid the extra $80 because this basic one is exceptional so I'm sure the higher model is excellent! After blow drying, I was able to get my naturally curly hair bone straight in < 25 mins and the style has stayed for going on three days now with no touch ups (and taking good care of it at night). Honestly wish I would've gotten this forever ago, could've saved my ends and my time by not having to touch it up daily. I love it!!! As for some of the negative reviews, I assume it's user error. If you know how to finesse a flat iron, you'll love this. The outside panels heating up works great if you want to bump your ends or create a barrel curl.BK

I love the high quality and elevated look of T3 styling products. I couldn’t wait to try this new 1.5 inch straightener because I’ve never used any straightener that is larger than the standard 1 inch. My hair is long, bleached, damaged, fine, very frizzy, and wavy. I started out with freshly washed hair and applied heat protectant before blow drying it. Then, I sectioned my hair and ran a comb through before straightening each piece on heat setting 4. There was a noticeable difference in how fast I was able to straighten my hair. I was able to use larger sections of hair because the straightening plates are both wider and longer on the T3 Lucea compared to standard straighteners. This significantly decreased the time it took to style my full head of hair. After straightening my hair, it was very smooth and sleek. Typically, after I straightening my hair, it begins to frizz up a couple hours later, however the ceragloss plates locked in smoothness for a frizz-free finish. I love this T3 Lucea 1 1/2” flat iron! It has quickly become my favorite! I was first surprised how pretty it is! I love the white. Very chic! It gets hot very fast and has a neat way of changing the heat. You just push the button twice and it lets you adjust accordingly. What’s great about this feature is you won’t accidentally change your heat setting my accidentally tapping the button with your pinky because you just tap twice in a row! I love that it’s slightly rounded so I can get an awesome soft curl. I only have to do one pass when straightening and I love that too! I’ve always been intrigued to try a 1.5 inch straightener. Typically, I have always used the standard 1 inch straightening iron. My hair is long, bleached, damaged, fine, very frizzy, and wavy. When I straighten my hair, my hair typically becomes frizzy shortly after styling. I washed and dried my hair as usual. Before straightening my hair, I applied the same heat protectant that I regularly use. I used the heat setting 4 because the instruction guide states that heat settings 1-4 work best for fine hair. After sectioning my hair, I ran a comb through the section before running the straightener through. I am able to take larger sections than I usually do because the straightening plates are both longer and wider than a standard 1 inch straightener. This has significantly sped up the time it takes to style my hair. After straightening my hair, it looked extremely sleek and shiny. The ceragloss plates helped my hair to remain sleek and straight for DAYS after styling. Even though this was gifted by T3 Micro, the before and after photo speaks for itself and this is definitely my new favorite straightening iron!laurnhub

This was the first flat iron I ever got. Thank God I have upgraded to a better one. I couldn't stand dealing with this one. Then again my hair is super curly. I am mixed (black and white) so I have very thick long curly hair. I'm not sure how this straightener would've worked on a different hair type, but I know that I eventually resorted to just using it to straighten my bangs. Effectiveness It worked OKAY. I usually had to straighten the smallest sections of hair in order to get it straightened properly. I also had to straighten over the same small pieces of hair a few times to get it straight. There are different heat settings. I usually set mine to the highest because that's what my hair needed. Make sure you do clean it from time to time because that will effect the iron's ability to straighten the way it should. Durability This flat iron is cheaply made. SO BE CAREFUL WITH IT. I have always used a curling iron even when the flat iron become the new thing. I already have straight hair but it lacks body and volume. The Conair Ultra Slim looked like a experimental flat iron since it's very affordable. I like the curve to the handle, this feature makes it easy to use and feels comfortable the whole time. I figure a slim flat iron would be a better fit for my hair, it's not thick, but it's not thin either. It took me so long to section off each part if my hair and go over it with this Ultra Slim Flat Iron! I used a flat iron spray to help with the hold, and after it was all said and done my hair looked straight but laid flat on my head. I've learned new techniques since purchasing this flat iron and see where this one can help with getting close enough to the roots to add volume. The settings go up to 25, so there's a range of heat to use, it also heats up fast in under a minute. Since it took me so long to go over my entire head of hair I will now use this one as a touch up flat iron or a back up while I travel. Finally I can achieve a really smooth style on my unruly stubborn hair without damaging it. After watching a program on how using hair straighteners at too high a temperature was damaging for hair I had largely given up trying to straighten my hair as previously the only way to achieve a smooth style was using the maximum heat. On the day I got my Panasonic hair straighteners my hair was frizzy and wavy from damp air so after a quick read of the instructions I heated them up to 180 C and within a few minutes my hair was tamed and sleek again. I didn't need to use any additional products to achieve this, also the next day my hair looked just as good. The instructions are very clear and give plenty of information about the Nanoe technology and how to use the straighteners. The instructions are very clear and the straighteners are very simple to use. I like the automatic switch off feature that ensures that if you forget to turn them off they will shut off after 60 minutes. No more worrying if you have left them turned on when you have gone out. One addition I would like to see is a bag to keep them in or even better a heat proof wrap that you can rest them on to protect any surface you put them on. An older pair of straighteners I had included one of these. They work equally well with just washed and dried hair, in fact they work so well that I don't have to spend so much time trying to style my hair with the brush as the straighteners soon have my hair smooth and silky. You can easily select any temperature between 150C and 230C and I have found they work very well at lower temperatures. They heat up very quickly and glide through the hair with no pulls or tugs. My hair has never looked so shiny and healthy, the Nanoe technology seems to work well. The whole package and the straighteners themselves look very luxurious and would make a lovely gift for someone. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do have some basis of comparison having used other brands in the past including ghd and babyliss. I like the option of being able to set different temperatures (although personally I don't know why you'd need to) which some may find useful. However it would be helpful if the setting was remembered when the straighteners are switched off as each time you have to press the button multiple times to get to the 230' temperature. I didn't notice an audible alert to say the temperature was reached, this would be a handy feature. Upon using the straighteners, I found that they tugged my hair a little which made their use unpleasant. There's also a little catch /noggin inside where your hair can easily get caught in which pulls further. I bought this so I could use it to curl my hair and I thought the claim that it has this amazing technology to hydrate the hair also sounded good. I have now tried it a few times and I have ended up with damaged and dry hair. It does not work and requires several passed just to straighten my hair. Curling is impossible. I have now bought the Revlon straightener and I am very happy as it works in much lower temperatures and is very effective as a curler. Revlon is much cheaper as well. I just got this straightener about 3 weeks ago after comparing it to other Babyliss Pro straighteners as well as the Amika straightener. I can't speak for everyone since we all have different types of hair, but this straightener is the best straightener that I have EVER used! It keeps my hair very soft and shiny and not tangled. About 8 years ago I had a Sedu (I actually owned two since the first one gave out after a couple years) and I was never truly impressed with them. I thought I would be since they are so highly reviewed and shown on Folica, but they really did not work well. I have medium wavy and course hair that is definitely on the thicker side and straightening isn't the problem, its having my hair not get wavy after I have straightened it. After both Sedu's gave out, I tried a Chi but returned it. It just wasn't very good. It would get hot and that's about it. Then I tried a relatively inexpensive Babyliss Pro iron (Folica just started carrying it) that is ceramic. I used that iron for about four years (it's still going strong!) but I needed something better. I have always wanted to try the Titanium Babyliss Pro irons so when they were on sale on Folica, I decided to bite the dust and buy it to try it. This iron is truly the best. It heats up quickly, does not snag hair, and keeps my hair straight even after it is ironed and I have gone about my day. It also keeps my hair soft and silky, something that I couldn't find with my other previous irons. Also the long plates are nice to capture more of my hair and cut down my straightening time. This straightener felt better to use than the 1 inch version since it grabs more hair and holds onto my hair much better than the other version. Titanium is the way to go for this girl, but this might not be true for everyone. The best advice I can give is to actually get a bunch of different straighteners and try them out to truly find the one that is the best for you!Natasha

Iron is horrible. It has a huge gap between the plates. You cannot section your hair into small pieces to straighten;you have to put a huge clump in there and then it does not even straighten it. The dial to change the temperature was so stiff I thought it didn't work. When I asked to return it, I was told that it was designed to have a gap like that. I have read that some flat irons do have a gap, but this gap is so huge it makes it unusable. And I looked at the product at a local store before I ordered online and it did not have a gap that huge. Let me start by saying I've been doing my hair for a very long time, I prefer a voluminous messy look or a classy tousled wavy one. My hair is on the thicker side, but the hair itself is pretty fine. It's down to the middle of my back with quite a few long and medium layers. Also there is a slight wave to it if I were to just let it airdry, and holds a curl somewhat decent, but not the best. It is healthy with quite a bit of shine, I definitely prioritize taking care of my hair, for sure. I try to use really good products on my hair, and that includes tools, so I usually have to save up for them, they tend to be pricey! Lol. I have 2 straighteners from 2 very well known brands that both tug, catch, and pull breaking my hair… So, needless to say they are collecting expensive dust in my room. When I got the opportunity to try this tool from GHD I was beyond excited, for once I didn't have to go without to get a quality tool. I received it on Jan 24th and have used it almost every day since. I'm actually having FUN doing my hair again. Zero tugging, pulling, or snapping my hair, glided through like butter, I even checked double checked to make sure it was on, because I felt nothing!!! Beachy waves was my first attempt.. couldn't have done better, they were perfect. I tested the ghd original styler on my 2A/2B hair, slightly damp and with a heat-protectant cream. The box is sturdy and feels nice, definitely great for gift-giving and can be used to store the styler. You plug the styler then hold the power button for a second, which lights up and makes a little sound. After only about 4 seconds, a little tune notifies that the styler is hot, which really helps with avoiding accidental burns. And it actually heats up that fast!! There is an initial burnt metal smell, but it dissipated quickly and I haven’t smelled it since. This styler is HOT. It felt like I was sitting next to a heater. But for me, the intense heat did make styling more efficient! I definitely recommend using a heat protectant and keeping an eye on how your hair reacts to this styler!! My personal method of straightening hair with this styler is to do a smooth downward swipe (not hold) on a section of hair, let the hair cool just until it is just warm and not scorching (you can tell), then repeat as necessary until the settled hair is styled as desired. I found that holding the styler in one place will end up creating an indent, but it was surprisingly easy to smooth it over with another quick swipe. Holding the styler is great for some styles, like waves, and the indenting is just something to keep in mind when straightening hair. I was surprised at how smooth, no-frizz, and soft my hair actually was afterwards. The strands weren’t crunchy at all, and they even flowed weightlessly like in a commercial! This ghd original styler worked great for me. The design is easy to wield without accidentally touching skin or straining your hands, and it doesn’t produce a cheap chemical/burnt smell. Overall, I very much like it! If you have been looking for a styler and are willing to splurge on a product that actually works, this is a product that follows through on hype. I have very long, highlighted, thick, combination hair. My top layer being relatively straight, and bottom layers being wavy and curly with sections that are kinky. Now that that’s out of the way… I used the Original 1” Styler 3 different ways, because some days I’m lazy, and some days I actually have the time to put “pro-effort” into my hairstyle, either by straightening or curling it. For my thick hair the Classic Styler straightens better than it curls. If I want the curls to last all day and not fall out I have to start curling my hair from its natural state. With that being said, in order for me to get smooth curls that don’t have any creases or kink in the individual hair strands, I have to pass over my hair at least once before I go in for the actual curling motion… which means when I actually go over it that second time the curl it isn’t as curly, and even has some areas that want to fall immediately. This is not due to the temperature of the straightener though, because it does get perfectly hot. I’m leaning more towards it being the single zone technology paired with my hair being very thick. If you have thin to average hair you’ll have an amazing result curling. When it came to taking the time to pro-straighten my hair by taking 1 inch sections, I really like how the plates glide over the sections of hair easily. It’s also not heavy, and I don’t have to squeeze hard to get good pressure on the hair; which means my hands and arms didn’t get tired. After my hair cooled it was 100% straight, with a lovely, soft and frizz free feel. This lasted all day long too. Last thing I did was “lazy” straightened it by not sectioning or isolating any of it at all… So starting with air dried hair in its natural form, I ran the straightener through my hair randomly. This is where the Classic Styler really shines! It DOES NOT pull on hair or snag at all. Not even a little! I was super impressed by this. The results of this lazy method were fantastic for putting minimal effort in! I cannot stress this enough. I really think that the Classic 1” Styler is a great 1st time straightener if you aren’t ready for a slightly larger investment with one of their higher end straighteners with more features, and you’ll love the way this straightener performs! Even though I mentioned above that I didn’t get a great result curling due to my hair type, I’m still giving it a 5 star rating – My reasoning for this is, for its intended function as their “Classic” option it does the job very well!BriBrittBrittany

i bought this same exact straightener in 2015 – it lasted until 2022 and served me well, so i bought this newer version and im SO HAPPY. the braided cord alone is so much better. its well made, durable and heats up quick. the titanium plates are amazing – youll never buy ceramic again. i have a dyson straightener as well and this babyliss is eons better. dont look any further. this is the straughtener youve been looking for.KatieB

Having previously used GHDs I opted for these after my GHD’s passed away and these were recommended by a friend. I think I got them on an Amazon lightening deal so the price was a total bargain at the time…I think these are way better than GHDS! The fact you can choose various heat settings…win….the delicacy of the plates on my hair…win…the beautiful straight shiny hair outcome…WIN…the price….win win. I have had it all, from One Pass Bio something or another to Sedu to Remington. Chi came very close to being the gentlest of all. Conair owns majority of flat iron brands now. The company and reputation have grown and improved to a great degree. The great price tag on this product with a three year warranty show that this product is of a great value. Despite the low price tag, it is an excellent product and does a great job on my hair. No frizz. Silky hair. And a smooth operation! Highly recommended!kathy.m

For the price you can't go wrong with such great features!! I love the slim design yet the plates are longer, the lock on the bottom for when the iron isn't in use is so nice, and the temperature measure on the outside is clear and simple. I also love the classic white color with the light pink plates, much prefer over black. I typically use a flat iron at about 350 or 375 degrees. So having this go up to 400 is awesome. I enjoy taking my time with my hair. So I have no problems moving in shorter sections, especially to get my waves out which I have a lot of. I don't understand the bad reviews. I'm so happy with this Conair. I have purchased other models in the past. This one though could be my favorite! I also appreciate the longer cord. 🙂Lindseyj1

This iron is perfect! I have thin hair but have been told I have a lot of thin hair. ? My hair is very wavy when air dried. I always blow dry it out and it straightens it pretty well but still have waves. I first put it on 400 and it did a fabulous job. My hair was straight and I could still curve it under without a crimp. I also highlight blond in it regularly and it still made it silky and shiny, I love it!! Definitely recommend unless you have very thin dry hair.Deana

My is my absolute favorite straightener. And I have quite a few (don't judge me 😫 ) and 3 of them have been a chi. I actually got my first one when I was in hair school and it was a pretty basic iron (back then they didnt have the same technology as they have today) and from there I upgraded. They have lasted me FOREVER! This new one came with a warantee and everything which when something is guarenteed I appreciate that as a customer. I'm much more likely to spend a good amount of money if it's a product that the company is so confident in that they can back it up. Anyway it has all the features you would look for in a styling tool. Safety, temp control, shut off feature, you can put it on a stand so it's safe to set down, it came with a cute little case for either travel or as a dust protector. I'm not sure if they all did, but this one that I purchased off the website did. And there are different discounts for people in school or sale or coupons for new or returning customers. The length of time they have ALL lasted is deff worth paying the extra money to have the quality and guarentee that you're getting a great tool that you will use on a daily basis.jollean.s

I have pretty thick, somewhat wavy hair. Even though my hair isn't very wavy it's very difficult to actually straighten. The most id ever spent on a straightener before this was $20, and you could tell. I'd go over and over my hair with my revlon trying to get it flat and not to mention the plastic catching on my hair and ripping it But this has changed my life in just the 24 hours I've had it!! I am totally impressed by this flat iron. I have always loved CHI straighteners but this is a whole new level of amazing. I have long thick wavy hair and I set the heat to 360 degrees since I read 400 or above can really damage your hair. It heated up to 360 in about 30 sec and was ready to use. The plates are smoother than my other CHI and just glide through my hair. I was done in about 2-3 minutes and my hair has never looked so shiny!! I've always used heat protection spray but the shine was all from this straightener. My hair feels so soft and healthy. I also love the auto shut off feature and it's the main reason I bought this one in the first place because I forget if I unplugged my straightener or not. Only downside to this is the plug doesn't have surge protection on it, so don't straighten your hair while barefoot on a wet floor or around water. Thankfully my husband installed outlets in our bathroom that have the surge protection buttons on them. Just something to be aware of. Otherwise, this hair tool is a no brainer. I have had my unit for three years. I have long coarse frizzy hair. This flat iron has reduced my straightening time to about 12 minutes. I use the second to lowest temp setting on small sections of dry hair. I get beautiful waves by twisting the flat iron and pulling down through the hair with an even amount of tension. Here in Miami the humidity is high but after I straighten my hair, it doesn't frizz. I don't use any straightening products before using the flat iron. Just clean, very dry hair and the second to lowest temperature setting (420 degrees F). The cord is long and swivels to prevent tangles. The flat iron plates are very smooth, shiny metal without any coating. My hair glides very easily through the iron. It is an excellent product.Rose

I really like this flat iron, but I should have gotten the one that's a little heavier. This one is quite lightweight, which you would think would be a good feature as it's easier to hold. BUT, because it's so lightweight, it doesn't squeeze your hair as much as necessary for my very thick hair. If your hair is thinner, this would really work well for you.Shar

I love my Amika flat iron but… I feel like when u pull it down through your hair it’s not that smooth. It get snagged or my hair gets caught. Maybe it’s operator error? Anyway, what I do like is that it heats up fast, you can control the temp (it goes up to 450) and the ends are rounded so u can use it to curl too. I replaced my more expensive flat iron with this but this one is a good value.kimberly.s

This is the flat iron I currently have. Although I don’t straighten my hair as much or hardly ever, anymore, I’m not super impressed by this one. Have you ever used a flat iron that just made your hair feel weird afterwards? It might not make sense, but that’s how I feel with this one. I have had this flat iron for 4 months now, and I love it. My hair is frizzy, thick, naturally wavy, and I like to wear it board straight. I do not have the titanium one yet to compare the two but I am interested in trying it as this one does an amazing job and it was the cheaper of the two. It leaves my hair super shiny, smooth, frizz free, and does not damage my hair at all, though my hair has no color in it so not sure how it would handle in that case. The handle does get somewhat hot as previous reviewers have stated but not to the point where I cannot use it. I have no problem with the opening size either, as I part my hair and straighten sections at a time. Definitely was a good buy, especially for the price paid.Jeanine

I got this as a Christmas gift from my sister in law in 2013. I still use it every day and it works just as well as it did when I first got it! Best straightener I’ve ever had! Love! I have used baby bliss products for many years. This my favorite! The straightener gets hot quickly which cuts down time straightening your hair. My hair looks shiny and very smooth. Other straighteners pull the hair or leave frizz. This is the best straightener I've used and it's cheaper than the baby bliss pro model. I usually only ever buy the cheap straighteners and they get the job done but the results were never as good as I get from the salon and their high-quality tools. Well, the Miss Priss gives me the lasting results I want. It’s a beautiful color, comfortable to use, I love the temp display and range of temp options. The cord is plenty long enough. And I’m able to quickly and easily straighten or curl my hair usually in the first past. My only complaint is that the controls are on the inside of the handle instead of in an easier to access location on the outside or side of the handle.Roseanne M.

I had an original Chi straightener that finally died after 20+ years. I have hated the thought of replacing it but new I would eventually have too! I immediately went for the Miss Priss! I love this straightener. I have thick curly hair and it does a great job and I use less heat with just setting it at 350. It leaves my hair soft, shiny and flowing!
