Excellent bike. Very smooth riding with a comfortable riding position. Quality parts from Shimano make for fast shifts with good gear range. I ride primary for aerobic exercise and find the bike gives me a great workout while providing a smooth, solid ride. I assembled it myself but needed to have a bike shop to fine tune the front disc brake and true the front wheel in order for the front wheel to spin freely. (Although the bike comes with all the necessary assembly tools (hex wrenches and pedal wrench), the included assembly instructions are not very good w respect to the front wheel / disc brake assembly). But as it turns out Vilano explains that you need to have a bike shop check the assembly in order for the warranty to be valid … not something I knew going in, but the bike shop’s assembly review and front wheel / disc brake tuning ($80) gives me added peace of mind. I should add that Vilano customer service is outstanding. Their toll free phone automated attendant menu could do for a few more option selections to make things more intuitive, but once you get through to the staff they is great. They give you the sense that they are genuinely interested in helping you solve whatever problem you’ have. They listen well, seem to be very knowledgeable about the product and follow up as promised. Overall I’m very pleased with the bike … smooth and solid with good quality parts. We ordered this bike for our teenage son. We added the Pro Build, since we don’t have any close bike shops and we knew he would ride it right away. The bike came on time and packaged neatly. Our son put it together in about 15 minutes and took it out for a ride. So nice that it worked perfectly! Totally worth the slight up charge. I researched bikes in order to find a hybrid bike that delivered more road performance than trail, at a reasonable cost. This one fit the bill and I believe is a clear winner in the price range $300. It does take a while to set up, and you should understand bikes or bring it to a shop to handle that for you. I understand bikes and I still became tripped up on the front derailleur, and it took me a couple days of working on it and reviewing video to first see where I messed up in attempting to fine tune it and then figuring out where to set it back to where it originally was set and then fine tuning it from that point again once I realized that's all it needed. The back derailleur and the disc brakes also needed adjustment and I did fine on them though but again, you need to understand bikes and also to comprehend videos on the subject matter. Took the bike for my first ride recently, so this is a maiden voyage review of approximately 7 to 8 miles on steep hills. It performs admirably on hills, where the 24 gears are a must! The bike is a performer for the price! Tires felt strong, frame is solid, disc brakes are great. The seat may need to be changed out for comfort, however, they are cheap enough and for the price of the bike, should not be considered a deterrent. It is better to NOT have a front shock for more road use, as that absorbs energy going up steep hills and that's what I needed this for. Had the bike pushing 40 m.p.h. or over and was very stable. Be sure to check the wheel hub and brakes prior to doing that though. Five stars for the quality on price point and the outlet shipped it fast and delivery time is reasonable. Remember, assembly IS required. The bike is solid but will need some adjustment once assembled though, so your call on how you do it, yourself or professionally, as it can be quite frustrating. If you were worried about quality, don't, it will get the job done for leisure to intermediate riding endeavors I believe based on my first take. This is a great bike for someone who just wants to ride and casually take in the sights. Just wish the whole picking up the bike was as easy. First it arrived in the wrong color from what I ordered ( not the stores fault) but when I picked up the correct one my emails told me I could have help setting it up for me and adding anything I purchased onto it. I know they are swamped with the anniversary sale but no one told me all of those things or apologized that they were too busy. I know I am being nitpicking but to me this is a big purchase. Not like the expert help I had when shopping for it.JimB

My first Townie met with an unfortunate accident. I got it as a gift from my children last Christmas. I absolutely loved it and rode over 1,000 miles last year. So without question, I wanted the exact same bike. Due to Covid bikes are very hard to find, so I searched every site I could find. Only one shop had it but they didn't have the same color. I live in Michigan and had to order it from Mad Dog Cycles in Orem, Utah. It arrived today and I took it to our local dealer for assembly (tomorrow I'll be back on the trail). It only took 13 days from order to receipt and the box was in perfect condition when UPS delivered it. I am 70 years old and have always ridden a bike, but this one is the most comfortable bike I've ever had, hands down. I Love the higher handlebars, step thru style, and very cushy seat. It also has fenders which you will appreciate if you've ever ridden in the rain. And, front and rear lights powered by pedaling. If I ever need to replace it, it would definitely be with another Townie. I would strongly recommend this bike.By Cindy

I picked this as a 15 year gift option from my anniversary at my job. I love this bike so much- I went from casual rides in the neighborhood to now up to 41 miles of bike trails. It is comfortable, cutest bike I've ever seen on the trails, but reliable. I've been riding (addicted) for five years now, and never a problem like I used to have with other bikes, like flats, chains coming off etc. NEVER a problem. After many years of not owning a Bike I decided on this model after reading mostly positive reviews and for the price. Also the 7 Speed gearing was attractive to me instead of the 21 Speed ones they had in the store. Ordered it online to pick up at my local store and I decided to assemble it myself, I'm not super handy but is simple enough to do, the most complex part is the front brake adjustment which I couldn't do because the front wheel was wobbly, so I took it to my local bike shop where they gave it a simple tune up for $25, which included rectifying the wobbly front wheel, adjusting the brakes and the rear derailleur among checking all other components. This is the main reason of my 4 Star rating. I like the style of this bike and after testing it on a short ride I use it on 3rd gear on the mostly flat and paved surfaces in my neighborhood and the seat feels comfortable enough. The frame says Kent Hybrid, so this bike is part road bike/part mountain bike, which means is not as fast as a true road/commuter bike but most of us won't join the Tour de France, so it's more than adequate at this price point. Also the frame says 6061 Alloy which to me means is an Aluminium frame and the package was labeled as 35.2 pounds, so that is the weight of this bike. I intend to use it for the occasional ride around my house and for exercising; and I think this bike will be just fine for that.Aviator

The description of this bike on the website states that it has a steel frame however the frame is clearly marked as a 60/61 alloy which I understand is unusual for cheaper bikes. That combined with the dual suspension and the one bye seven drivetrain seemed to make this a competitive value in a big box bike. Oddly enough, at this time the black version of this bike is $60 dollars less that the blue. That makes it even better. This is definitely a comfort bike and is advertised as such. If you need something for rugged terrain then you'll need to search further.David

probably have to tinker with it a little to get it just so, the seat… probably needs a better one… if u value your assets, tighten ALL the fitting on it with the appropriate size wrench (u do have tools, yes? ) I will probably get a CHEAP/WIDE $5 inner tube, cut the valve stem out of it and use it as a tread/tube liner so that thorns do not puncture the tire/tube; put it between the inner tube that is in there and the BACK tire… as I wud any bike as thorns are prevalent here and fixing 7 flats in 3 days because I was CHEAP and didn't get the HEVI WATE INNER TUBES on my last NEW bike was …. and education to do IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME so I didn't have to do it again… and again and again. SLIME is hard to get into the tires through the NARROW hole in the air thingy even with the Schrader valve removed. LOCKS, U LOCKS AND HEVI WATE CHAIN… if u want to keep the bike; as sometimes they ride off by themselves if left anywhere. cable "locks" are ornaments (don't ask how I KNOW this) and not worth throwing out. some gearheads have taken the bearings apart and greased them and have said they are tightened TOO TIGHT from the factory, but DO NOT LOSE THE BEARINGS!!! carpet catches bearings, hard floors=scattered bearings=bad. tires are said to be HEAVY compared to after market, but that is not all bad as once get the tires rolling… INERTIA KEEPS THEM ROLLING with a little effort so that is good. like kicking the clutch out on a BIG TRUCK on the highway… it will coast a LONG WAY with all that weigh/inertia built up in its mass/wheels/tires.18LiterDETROITDIESEL

First of all, it sure is a slap in the face to see the price drop $17 just two weeks after I got it. Now then, my experience has been much the same as other reviews. It is a barely "OK" bike, I guess for the money nowadays. It is built and billed as a "Mountain Bike" which is the furthest thing I intend to use it for. From what I gather, you would have to add another zero to the price to get a genuine, usable mountain bike. I am 68 years old wanting to get some exercise. And when I saw this Fat Tire bike, I had to have it. It is the closest I have seen to the old (even then) bike I had as a kid in the fifties and sixties. I will probably end up spending as much extra to make the bike marginally usable, as the bike cost to start with. It is in the shop right now and I'm not doing that much yet. The seat if terrible. The brakes, we'll have to see after they are adjusted right. I have a new seat ready to put on when I get it back. I had the shop put on a steering riser (probably not right term) to raise the handlebars. Keeping original bar for now but may have to replace that too. And replacing the brake levers. If the brakes don't improve (a lot!!) I'll either replace them, or sell the whole bike and get something else. I even got new pedals. The reflectors on the original pedals break off easily. The shifter is a PITA because it wants to change as you are gripping the bar. It should have been a lever or something. And high gear is not even as high as my old single speed. What good is THAT? I guess what it boils down to is that it is impossible to buy a Fat Tire Mountain Bike for $200 that is not a joke even for just plain riding down the street, let alone riding in the mountains.Tinman98

However, a new aluminium fat bicycle frames will cost no less than $900.00; carbon fiber fat bicycle frames prices start at about $2,000. As a direct result of the enormous price difference I decided to purchase the Dolomite just to try out a fat bicycle with the full entention of purchasing a far more expensive model if I enjoyed the larger design. I was surprisingly blown away! The Dolomite had arrived at my front door in only two days. I discovered assembly to be rather simple, but as a safety measure I walked the Dolomite ten blocks to my neighbourhood bicycle repair store for an overall examination; at the bicycle shop both disc brakes were properly calibrated, grease was added to the handle bar support collar, a water bottle cage was placed onto the frame, tires were inflated to proper pressure and then were placed in their recommended rotational direction. Finally, the seat pole was adjusted to a safe and comfortable height. I paid my service charge, quickly place my helmet on and then brought my bicycle onto the New York City streets. The ride was so comfortable due to the large amount of inflated rubber between the road bed and the large 4 inch rims. In addition, at slow speeds and at accelerated speeds the tires are constantly providing exceptional traction; I remained in full control of the bicycle as I effortlessly floated above the New York City man hole covers, large steel plate covers, pot holes and the ubiquitous sewer drainage grids. The weight of the bicycle is an attribute when descending steep hills, but when ascending hills be prepared to pump vigorously. The gears do shift rather accurately to their corresponding numbers, but not the smoothest shift. Due to its price, aesthetics, quality of design and durability I strongly recommend the Mongoose Dolomite Men's 7 Speed Bicycle.JNemorin

this is a really nice bike in a box. You will need to put a good portion together but the tools are provided as are instructions. One thing missing is a kick stand …I also added a rear carrier and a holder for a water bottle. It rode fairly well right out of the box after pumping up the tires. It did require an adjustment of the rear deraileur of about one half turn, since then shifting has been smooth. A comfort bike with 24 speeds and trigger shifters for the price is really great.danlumsden

When I decided to buy a bike, I couldn’t find them anywhere. Everyone was sold out. I really liked the Raleigh models. So when I found some in stock at Moosejaw, I couldn’t believe it. TERRIBLE QUALITY for the price now. I have been a Specialized biker buyer my whole life but despite paying the higher price for the Rockhopper SPORT, they essentially put inferior products on it making it worth about $200 less. All without really telling folks this his happening. I wanted the Hydraulic Disc brakes and it says it comes with it, but I received the 30 year old style of cable brakes. It said it came with Shimano shifters but they threw on Microshift instead. They blame it on Shimano not supplying enough parts but the brakes are Tektro and I looked around, TREK is having no problem getting Shimano shifters and Tektrok hydraulic brakes. Seems like Specialized realizes bikes are in such high demand and a way to make up for higher shipping costs is just to severely downgrade down their bike components and charge the same if not higher price!! Now I'm stuck with this bike that I paid top dollar for that has awful 10-year-ago technology. This has really soured me on Specialized because if this is how they treat their customers during a hard time, forget it. No offer to replace the parts free of charge when they become available, no offer for a $100 refund or anything, they just stick you with it. Maybe I'll take to social media and let everyone know that despite all manufacturers increasing prices of their bikes, at least others are giving you what they say they are, just NOT Specialized.Ben

Was excited to get back into riding and figured this bike this would be perfect. Specialized has been a respected name for many years in the bmx/mtb world and the price was right. The bike looks great but within a 1/4 of my maiden ride, my enthusiasm quickly waned as the chain snapped off on the first uphill of the day. Thankful, myself and my riding partners were able to reattach the master link and continue on. About a 1/2 mile later, I noticed the de-railer was not functioning properly and was causing my chain to jump the chain wheel when going from 1 to 2. Finally , towards the end of this first session and after just 5 miles, the housing for the shifter broke apart leaving me stuck in 8th gear. I took the bike back to the shop(which they had for 5 weeks while waiting for parts from Specialized) where they replaced the shifter and adjusted the chain. After getting it back, I went out for only my second ride and it started out great and the bike felt good. After roughly 9 miles into a rather basic trail ride, I thought my left pedal was coming loose. After going a couple more cranks, the left crank arm literally just fell off. The threads on the crank bolt looked thrashed and the square housing in the crank arm where the spindle sits was all chewed up. All this happened after only two rides totaling not even fifteen miles. I will get the crank arm fixed but if another failure occurs, I will be looking for a bike made by another company.Ilija

Attempted to use the child bike buyback program Seemed like a great deal to get half back on your bike if you purchase a new one in two years. Just beware they are going to require a tuneup to be performed that’s $150 and of course they point out grips,nicks and scratches and anything else they can find. A tune up? You would think that would be something they would do standard in order to resell a bike , but no. They suggested we sell the bike on Facebook or craigslist. Long story short it wasn’t worth returning the bike for how little they would give. We also swapped out the pedals on the day of pick up. Factory pedals were not returned (even though we r equested them) which doesn’t seem like that big of a deal. Unfortunately we live an hour away from the shop and need to replace the pedals on the old bike in order to sell it. Amazon prime to the rescue . We will have to take some responsibility we should’ve been more persistent. Other than that my son is very happy with the bike.Eric V.

I have 1,200 miles on my Giant Revolt e+ pro bike and I'm really glad I bought it. No matter if you are riding slow up a mountain, slow city riding, or riding single track this bike pedals naturally. The pedaling motion is so smooth you forget you are on a e bike and think you are always on a slight downhill or have the wind at your back. It handles fantastic. It doesn't steer as fast as a racing bike or as dead as a touring bike. That and the multiple hand positions of drop handlebars make it a good bike to ride 70 miles day after day. I should know I have ridden other bikes across the country 3 ½ times and have done over 40 week long rides. I would give it five stars except the only rack you can buy for it is so heavy it must be designed for some industrial application. Also, the bike absolutely needs a 50 tooth cassette as the bike's low gear is higher than some of the new Giant road bikes with compact double cranksets. One last thing is that unless they have changed it, the Di2 rear derailleur gets its power from the 500 Wh battery. I.E. if you try to ride the bike without it installed… it won't shift. SO if you are riding RAGBRAI, GOBA, or Michigan's Shoreline West the first thing you want to do at 3 PM is put up your tent & then charge your battery. Battery charging needs to be completed by 9 PM because that's when the campgrounds must turn off their portable generators. I was fortunate to buy one of the last Giant Revolt e+ bikes that didn't have Di2 so I have the freedom to ride my bike Downtown, to a historical site, to a Lake Michigan beach, etc without the battery installed.Bike1950

About 2 years ago, when I was 72, I started having trouble staying with my wife/kids/grandkids no matter how many rides I did and how hard I worked. Just an age thing I think. My son-in-law suggest I try an emountain bike. It hurt my pride a bit as I had been a pretty good biker for my age but I finally gave in. This decision has changed my life. My wife (three years younger than me) had been getting back to the car 10-15 minutes ahead of me while doing the same route. We are back riding together which is what we like most about mountain biking. Also, I can now keep up with my grandkids:) again. I usually only use level 2 as I really do want a workout but if I am falling behind I up it to 3 and can stay with them. I have only used level 5 a few times and to be honest it is unmanageable on technical routes. I am so happy to see that the controversy over using these bikes on all single track is moving in favour of using them. For those still opposed I would suggest they will change their minds as they enter their 70's and 80's and want to enjoy the trails with their kids/grandkids. Thanks to companies like Giant who have invested in developing these bikes. They are a wonderful addition to the mountain biking community.Old bald guy

I chose the Fastroad because of its looks and the SyncDrive Pro motor, which has 80nm of torque. The bike is noticeably lighter than the Explore E+ 2 or the Roam E+ 4 GTS, but the ride is very controlled and the beefy tires go a long way to providing additional comfort on bumpy terrain. I ride street and paved paths mostly, and this bike is very fast. I travel the same routes and realized this is the only ebike that I have owned where I never have to switch out of ECO mode, even to tackle hills. What you gain in power/torque, you lose in range. A full charge will get me between 50 and 60 miles. With the Explore E+ 2, the range is easily 80 to 85 per charge. This bike is an absolute blast to ride. I swapped out the stock tires for SCHWALBE Super Moto-X's, which are the best looking and performing tires I have ever ridden on. The bike feels as if it is stuck to the pavement. In addition, I also swapped out the stock grips for a pair of Ergon GP3's. The display is very clear, and provides great information. I am still not a fan of the Giant Ride Control app, and just prefer my Garmin devices. I just love this bike and hope to have it for a long time.Sefutau

Put a rack and fenders on and have been using it as a commuter. It’s a little heavy but it’s super comfortable. Happy with the shipping time but the handlebars did have two small scuffs. Not a big deal.Tanner

First thing to keep in mind, this bike is cheap. And as always, you get what you pay for… If you’re not a pro biker and just need something to go out and about, then it’ll probably be fine. I use it on roads and it’s a pretty smooth ride, but on trails you should definitely avoid very bumpy areas. It screws with the sihfters and they’re now giving me issues. It also tends to derail easily when I go to the lowest gears… But again, it’s a $300 bike so can’t complain. It’s a good starter bike but I know I will end up spending more on a proper one once I feel like I’m getting better.Antoine

bought this bike online and assembled it myself. Generally speaking it was not that bad however adjusting the front brakes took me sometime. overall this bike is quite decent and compared to similar products at the special bike stores, it is very good value for the money. aluminum frame makes it quite lighter in weight. the ride is smoother and I mostly ride it on side walks and sometimes on road. one thing which I didn't know that for neighborhood ride the handlebar was not high enough so I can sit somewhat straight instead of bent forward so I had to install handlebar riser to adjust the handlebar height. overall it is a good bike, liking it so far.Muhammad

Pretty easy assembly. Disc brakes are easy to adjust once you figure out which screws to turn. Weighs 47 lbs which was a bit heavier than what I was expecting. Ride is pretty good but there is an occasional creak when torquing hard on the pedal. Seems solid. Low pressure tires 44lbs. Shimano derailers which is nice since last Schwinn I tried had cheaper ones which were less precise. 3 rides so far.Grillman

They worked with me on finding an alternative option and I ended up getting a elite cmndr instead. It was a little more money but they made that process easy as well. I bought this bike for my son to use at school. Mostly rides on sidewalks/streets and grass. Not doing much off road. He says it is very comfortable, shifts gears with ease and he loves the shock absorber on the front wheel. Very lightweight (~30lbs) which allows to carry to 2nd floor dorm with ease. Seat and handle bars are easily adjustable to fit individually. Advise a good bike lock if using on a college campus.James C.

Since the weather has turned cold, I haven't been able to ride as much as I would like, but in the rides I've had, I've been very happy with it. I bought this bike (and waited months for it to come back in stock) because it was reported in several reviews as being good for tall riders (6'3" to 6'8" – I fall right in the middle), and it did not disappoint. I had a nice bike previously, with what was supposed to be a large frame (sold when this arrived) that was OK but this is much more comfortable. One note on assembly: The seat post attachment to the seat feels solid, but it's not. If you ride without adjusting it in the position that feels right to you, it will move up and down as you shift position. Make sure you tighten it up. Minor note – the manual says go to a bike shop and have them check your assembly. I've taken apart and put together many bikes so I didn't, but I can't imagine the conversation if you did this: "Hey, I bought this bike on line and assembled it myself, but could you check it over to make sure I put it together right?" I don't picture this request getting a warm reception.Steve M.

The worst return policy. Please read the fine print before purchase. The bike is very rudimentary. Seat is too high for me even for the Small size (I am 5'3") and can't be adjusted unless you cut it with a sharp saw or something … hence the return request, and realized – return shipping cost is at least $55, the package needs to be in "resale" condition which makes sense but any packaging that's not in original shape or crushed it not returned. Basically the bike is NOT returnable after you unpacked, removed all packaging and started to assemble the bike. If you are reading this and already placed the order, please don't remove any packaging – review the size and height of the bike and see if it fits before proceeding. I had thought the bike looks great and reasonably priced. Lots of great online reviews as well. But now I think you can get the same bike for half the price in a store with decent return policy.Regina C.

I live in a very humid, tropical environment where sulfur emissions from a prior lava eruption continue to pollute the air and cause everything metal to rust. After our 1960's Schwinn cruiser bicycles became rusted beyond repair, I searched online for new bikes. The sixthreezero bicycles looked really cool and the prices were fantastic. I did not expect the quality to be anywhere near as good as it is! It is extremely comfortable and a breeze to pedal also! The paint color is very retro and cool; people compliment the bike whenever I ride Amazingly, TWO years after I have purchased it, my bike has NO rust anywhere! This is practically unheard of in our location! We live 5 blocks from 3-month long active lava eruption that continues to emit sulfur into the air three years later! If I had to say something negative about the bike, I can't think of anything I would change about it! Their customer service team is top notch! Anytime I email them, they respond almost immediately! I bought this bike to try to get in better shape. The reason I wanted an electric bike was because I wanted to push myself and then use the electric only to ride back if I pushed myself too far. Plus I needed a way to get back home to accommodate multiple musculoskeletal issues that I was afraid would leave me stranded and struggling to return on a manual bike. I haven't rid a bike in years so I was hesitant to spend this amount on a bike I hadn't test driven and I lacked confidence in my physical ability as I have multiple disabilities. First off this bike has changed my life. I started off riding a couple miles and being tired. After a few weeks I was up to 5 miles multiple times a week. I'm so excited to have a means of exercise that gets my heart rate up, doesn't exacerbate my disabilities, and is enjoyable. I have had my bike for 2 months now and last month I rode 70 miles and met the weekly recommend moderate activity for multiple weeks in a row. I have done 7, 8, 9 mile rides so far. I originally thought I wouldn't get my heart beat up much with an electric bike but to the contrary. My fitbit shows my rides and where my heart increases to fat burning and cardio. Now I have plans by the end of March to ride 6 miles to work and 6 miles back 2-3 times a week. I couldn't have even imagined this goal as a possibility 2 months ago and now this is realistic. This bike is comfortable and is a joy to ride. The seat is cushy and comfortable. The hand grips are comfortable. I have issues with my hands and was worried about pain but this hasn't been a problem and I'm quite comfortable with the grips and angle of the handlebars. This bike is sturdy and comfortable. The battery lasts a long time. I could probably ride 4 or 5 days 5-6 miles a day until I need to recharge. I usually recharge every 2-3 rides but that is because I'm the type of person who fills my gas tank up when it is 3/4th full. I see the battery go down two bars and I'm on it with a recharge. The cons: I had a squeaking sound and couldn't figure out what was causing it, but I didn't look. I assigned figuring it out to my boyfriend and he said he was going to try some WD40. I'm not sure if he used it or did something but the squeaking sound went away. My breaks squeal a little. I haven't walked through the steps they provided to do a break tune-up so it is probably user error. I think I'm going to assign this to my boyfriend too. The battery came loose a couple times cutting the power. I just noticed it was tougher to pedal and stopped the bike to push it back in. The final con was I really wanted the cream bike but after waiting for three months global supply issues meant I would likely have to wait another three months. So they gave me an option to wait or switch to a bike in stock which is how I ended up with the Navy bike. It is very nice looking and I'm pleased even though it wasn't my first pick. I highly recommend this bike. It was easy to assemble. I think it took me an hour because I carefully read and reread instructions to make sure I did it correctly. I love this bike. It is super comfy and gave me an outlet to be physical activity. I was really struggling with the prospect of never being able to do anything physical until I got this bike. So I'm serious when I say this bike changed my life by giving me back my life. Now I have cute little accessories on it. Love it and look forward to many rides to come.Jeni

After purchasing an electric bike from Six Three Zero for myself, and being pleased with what I got, I ordered a second one for my wife, a 250 w Around the Block. I am just as pleased with this one as I was the first. The assembly instructions were straight-forward, all the parts were there, and it went together easily with a minimum of adjustments. I experienced one problem, with the lock for the battery, but that was instantly dealt with and a new replacement arrived in a matter of days. My wife had not ridden a bike in a long time, but she is now enjoying joining me on our tours of the country roads that we are lucky enough to be near. And, if we go a bit too far, all we have to do is turn up the juice and head back home. Thanks Six-Three-Zero. We will enjoy these bikes for years.George C

I acquired this bike as a winter trainer and it has more than fulfilled my expectations. Delivery was very quick and well organised – I cannot remember buying a bike with less hassle. The bike itself is beautifully balanced and the geometry is well conceived. For a gravel bike it performs well on the road. The most notable feature is the splayed handlebars – the improvement in stability is remarkable. I have a prejudice agianst disc brakes but these are sensitive and responsive. Gear ratios are well chosen and the GRX400 is suitably robust for rural Wales. My only disappointment is the tyres. Brilliant grip but very soft and the deep tread picks up thorns. I have had 4 punctures in the first two weeks! Tubeless tyres may be a better option. But overall, I am delighted.Bob E.

Bought a L (6ft2) and its a great fit. I am on the way to achieving over 100km easily on a single charge using mostly level 1, and very seldom level 2/3 on steeper gradients. An average cyclist will easily keep the momentum just over 25kph on the flat sections, which means using less battery and getting far more than the advertised 75km range. It doesn't feel like 13.5kg of bike and rolls really well (almost as good as my Ridley Kanzo Fast Gravel). The motor is there to assist , and I find it especially useful on the stop/starts of gravel and bridleway riding. Sweet spot seems to be 18-23kph. Motor shuts down over 25kph and there is minimal drag when not engaged. This is not a big bulky Bosch style motor , its a gentle assist when you pedal at level 1 helping you go further with less fatigue. Use level 2/3 for short/sharp gradients if needed. Aim to keep your ride average just over 25kph and this will give you more of a workout than any standard gravel bike..in case you are worried what your mates will say about going for an e-bike. Great build quality and lots of mount points for luggage etc. Only change I made was better, more padded bar tape and Panaracer Gravelking SK+Tubeless setup (38")ceverson25

First off, love the bike! Everything in the bike works as expected. The ride is pretty smooth but I changed the tyres for commuting on path rather than factory tyres which can be noisy and slow. The position is really good for my commute 40 minutes each way. I used to do the same in my non e bike and at the end of the week the way home was tough… no more! Just press the button and let the bike take over or help. The GRX 600 train is so good. Really quick in transitions and the breaking power so powerful and responsive. My only small issue with the bike (and it might be a one off) is the attention to derails during the assembly. The two screws on the mech hanger were not properly tightened and resulted in some play after a few weeks. I also have some rattling noises from the internal cables. The most annoying might be the sensor cable running in the chain stay tube, it doesn't look like it is properly secured. It rattles against the tube on any surfaces that is not very smooth. Small annoyance compared to the overall experience but could be so simple to fix by cannondale…E commuter101

I have rode this bike everyday to work since I bought it and I am very impressed. I Have almost exactly 160km on the bike. I am 240lbs, 6' tall and my commute is about 15km each way to work. I have experimented and have the following data to relate: I average 37km/h on flat ground, full throttle, no pedal assist….I cross 3 overpasses on the way to work, the bike gets down to about 24km/h on the steepest. If I do not pedal , at all, I arrive at my work or home with about 25% of the battery left. If I pedal everytime to get the bike going, from a dead stop , I arrive at work or home with 75 % of the battery left. One day, I did forget my charger at home and made all 30km on a single charge with 25% left when I got home. I am also A Motorcycle dirt bike rider on the weekends and really love the way this bike feels as a daily rider. Where I live in the traffic is horrible, riding this bike barely adds anytime to my commute as I can take shortcuts, etc.Michael
