The hold is not there and my hair is low porosity type 2b hair and i did not find it reducing frizz either. I section my hair and evenly distribute the Smoothie, then I use this Mousse to focus on my ends. Finally blowdry with a diffuser attachment. This product had good hold but I am dissatisfied with how quickly it went flat. I used as directed but the bottle has at least 90% of contents left and no longer expands into a foam when dispensed. It is a runny mess to use and I suspect I use too much when it doesn’t expand. Hair ends up heavy and frozen as if it is still wet. I will not purchase this product again.Jenny
Everything about the packaging is great except I do find it hard to only get small bit into your hand. This could be a good and bad thing depending on how you use the product but when I use it I do have to waste some product because so much comes out. The results left my hair very voluminous. I had a huge difference in my hair, which was great. It lasted a while which was even better. The only downfall is it did leave my hair feeling greasy, if I would run my hands through my hair, my hands would feel oily with the residual product on them. My hair did also begin to look oily towards the end of the day (this was freshly cleaned hair and my hair normally doesnt get oily until I sleep on it for a night). But I did overall love the lift result and someone elses hair may absorb it way differently than mine and may not actually leave any residual product. I usually like this product as it gets my hair nicely loose and volumed for blowdrying, and so I ordered 2 bottles online. One of them is fine but the other doesn’t foam up when pumped – it comes out as liquid mush. Returning is too much of a hassle – who has time for that for a $13 product. I really love this product and a lot less expensive than Aquage root lift. Shake really well, hold the can upside down and apply directly to parted hair at scalp only. When I am going to use a mousse, I always have some expectation of a certain “feeling” in terms of the texture of my hair. The reviews that state that it is difficult to run your fingers through are true… it is… but it feels more like strong hold hair spray. In areas I put too much, it is stiffer but if I did it lightly and directly on my roots, it does not feel that way. I have fine hair for reference. Now the important part and the reason I purchased the product…volume. I have SO MUCH volume. Even when I flatten my hair and then try to “fluff” it up again, it’s so voluminous.

I'm really tired of mousse that are too strong or sticky. This mousse is GREAT and no sticky feel. It really does a great job giving my hair lift. I have layered, color treated shoulder length hair. Sometimes I style it straight, sometimes in a natural wave. This works well either way. And did I say, no sticky feel??!Mature and still wearing makeup!

I am so glad that this product is still around. I've been using it off and on for years but wanted to experiment with other styling products. I can honestly say, none of the products I tried can compare to the Phomollient. The light and airy foam is deceptively strong; even holding up in the humidity without weighing my hair down. I have very thin, fine, slightly wavy hair that is color treated. I’m a beauty product junkie and have been let down so many times, but not with this product! I was hesitant to buy because my fine thin hair doesnt do well with any styling product all over. I was hoping to use it to let me slightly wavy hair dry naturally and maybe they won't be frizzy. But it is too heavy for that. My hair was soft to touch but no longer silky, so not great for leaving your hair natural. However, since it plumps your hair and still leaves it soft, its best for when you are going to use a curling iron or waver on it, or do an updo that you want in stay in place and not be crunchy. I heard other reviews and videos rave about this mousse and had to try it. I have to say, they are right. I have fine texture, low porosity natural hair. My hair is short, but when stretched the back comes to my collar bone and the front comes to the end of my nose (to give you a reference). I get good definition using a gel, but this product really defined my hair, and I had more body. Body is a problem for those of us with fine hair. My curls lasted 4 days, especially in the top which is longer. My hair is shorter on the sides and since I sleep on my side the definition fades sooner. I still had a little definition on my sides day 4, but the top still had curls. The first time I used it I only used a moisturizing deep conditioner and the mousse. It did great defining my curls, but left my hair very dry. The next time I used a moisturizing deep conditioner, leave-in conditioner, a moisturizing gel, and a sealing oil with the mousse. Sounds like a lot, but this is the process I have to use every wash day to keep my hair moisturized for 3 days. I did not have any problems with dry hair at all this time. I have thick heavy waves/curls. The product worked well when I used it with a leave in conditioner. The day I was in a rush and didn't put a leave in my hair was course and felt dehydrated. It doesn't help to clump your curls on it's own, but was easy to style and mold my curls with my brush. Dried quickly and smelled good. I didn't get a chance to use it for a long period of time to see the overall quality. The bottle untwisted just enough while under my sink and spilled. Luckily I had it in a container. The bottle easily untwist. You should keep the product right side up and make sure it doesn't knock over. Unfortunately it's the bottle quality that keeps me from buying this again. I would suggest checking The Doux’s channel on YouTube to see how she uses the styler depending on the length of the hair. I have a short natural tapered cut and the mousse works best went I finger twirl the top and front. I love the slip and the shine. Even though the hold is soft – it survives my sweaty workouts. I have long, fine hair with below-average thickness (not thin, but definitely not thick). I have been getting American Waves (a chemical process similar to a perm) for six months, which gives me a 2A/2B very loose waves. (My natural texture is "bendy", a mix of type 1 and 2A.) This is one of many products I have tried for air-dry styling*. I have used medium-hold gels, salt sprays, mousses, and air-dry creams. This is my favorite product so far for Day 1 results, but doesn't perform as well on Day 2+. What I like: – Like other Moroccanoil products, the smell is amazing and not too strong. – Very rich thick foam (definitely feels like a luxe product) – Gives nice definition and volume on Day 1 – Lightly moisturizing and doesn't weigh my hair down – Not sticky at all What I don't like: – It's pricey – On Day 2+, my hair looked "mussed". I still had good definition, but my whole head had more of a frizzy/fuzzy "halo" that I get with my favorite products (or no products). That said, I am still inexperienced with wavy styling, so that might be due to my (lack of) refresh technique. I am going to experiment with that, and see if I get better results. * I have found that my wash technique has a bigger impact on my results than the styling product I use. I wash with Kenra volumizing shampoo and scrunch in their conditioner, wet plopping in a shower cap before rinsing. Then I dry-plop in a microfiber towel after scrunching in a styling product (or not). After air drying, I zhuzh the roots for volume. I've used various Mousse products in the past, but they all tended to dull my fine, straight hair, while also making it look a bit fuzzy. BUT THIS MOUSSE doesn't do that! It maintains a nice shine and gives gentle lift that I need for my Bobbed style haircut. It is not as strong of a hold as I would desire, but it does provide some hold, and it is so much nicer than chemical laden products. Love that it is clean and actually helpful, rather than harmful to the health of my hair.
This Mousse is wonderful! I have 2b fine curls, so I don’t get much volume naturally. My hair lies pretty flat without products. However, this works great. I especially appreciate it because some cheap quality hair products cause me to have breakouts around the hairline, not EVOLVh!
This is the first mousse I have ever loved. It gives amazing volume with no sticky film and I love that it’s clean. It works great whether my short bob is styled straight or wavy/curly. Even if I refresh my hair with a little elixir or leave in conditioner the next day my hair is never weighed down or sticky. Seriously can’t live without this product.

With 3b curls that are dry, coarse, long, tangly and graying…I've been struggling lately. I want so badly to keep my hair long and grow it longer than I've ever had the patience to. I purchased this Ouidad VitalCurl mousse today (last one on the shelf!), because I was desperately trying to just get my hair to look good. I got home with my new product and hit the shower right away. After washing/conditioning I put a bit of my previously purchased Ouidad VitalCurl Tress Effects Gel in my palm and added a a nice dollop of this mousse on top and mixed it together until no foam remained and I was left with a wonderfully slippery gel-consistency. I repeated the process once more to make sure I coated everything. I used an Olivia Garden brush to distribute the product and let it dry naturally. It didn't take as long to fully dry as when I use my gel with other hair creams and my hair had a cast that was so perfect it still looked wet when it was fully dry. I was so happy with the results that I feel like I can let this unruly mom keep on growing. At least my ponytail would look good and not a frizzy mess like it usually does. This is THE one product from Ouidad that I feel I can't do without. Granted, I haven't used it by itself but when a curly girl finds her perfect recipe, it's a challenge to stray from it for fear of ruining the outcome. As a side note, I have used the gel mentioned above by itself and I loved the curl formation, however, it's a very foamy gel once I start applying it and it makes a squooshing noise and turns white. I really don't know if this works! The perfume, stinky odor just made me sick!! My husband came in and wanted to know what stinks. I almost got back in the shower to wash it out. This product does exactly what I need it to, and is very easy to use! I feel as though the more you use it, the more you see results too. Even on the first day of use my hair looked thicker, healthy, and more alive. The product is not very greasy, and washes off of the hands easily. I use this before I blow dry my hair, which is medium thickness, dyed blonde and wavy. It works really well in holding volume and making my waves look more controlled. It also lasts well into the next day and day after. You won’t even need dry shampoo until day 3! However, like most mousses, it will make your hair feel a bit stiff and definitely dries it out. I just love this stuff, I had lost all my hair cause I was doing chemo and when my hair started to come back it was not as thick as I once had so I missed my volume and where it was still short I needed it. I applied this product on my wet hair. I used a blow dryer to blow dry sections of hair and roll them in roller pins. After taking them out I did not feel like the added product helped give me a volumizing finish. It made my hair feel sort of clammy and dirty. Overpriced and didn’t do much for my liking. I love this volumizer! The “pump spray button” somewhat broke which was frustrating at first but ended up working in my favor. Now I put a little bit on my hands and rub into my roots making it feel much lighter but still volumized. And you can tell a difference with my fine hair. It’s great! If you haven’t used this mousse you need to. I’ve been using this for years on myself and clients. I literally use this on EVERYONE that sits in my chair. It does it all. This is a great foam for wet wraps. I have relaxed hair and I’m a bit of a novice doing my hair on my own. I purchased this to wet wrap and dry under a hood dryer. I bought thus product to use to style my lace wig. It helped style my wig perfectly upon install. By day 3 of using the foaming lotion to style my baby hair i had some irritation in my forehead but it wasn’t too bad. I took a break for a few days from using it or styling my wig & when I used it again it started to severely burn my forehead. I wiped the product off & did continued use. I took my wig off 2 days later and had a chemical burn across my entire forehead. It burned so bad & took a while to clear up. My skin is far from sensitive so I know that wasn’t the issue. This is now a staple in my hair styling routine. I have been spraying this on my hair every day before I walk out the door. It is a very lightweight hairspray and the hold is perfect for my needs. What I most love about this product is that it keeps my hair safe from frizz throughout the day. I have found that if I spray too much it sometimes leaves a slight white residue on my hair but this doesn’t happen very often and it’s not very noticeable. While a bit annoying, the benefits outweigh the cons for me, as long as I don’t go overboard on any particular section my hair stays almost completely frizz free throughout the day, regardless of humidity!araceli.r
I received this sample from Influenster for my honest review. To begin, my hair is type 1 and slightly on the dry side. It thin to medium, unprocessed and is fairly silky. For me, this worked okay, not great (although I’m not one to style my hair often). It has a decent hold and decent humidity resistance. The crunch is expected for a firm hold so I did not mind it as long as it held my hair in place. For an average day, it held my hair for a few hours (not all day). The smell is good, but I have a sensitive nose so the smell does linger on for quite a bit which I don’t particularly enjoy. One concern I do have is that I noticed a bit of a white residue on my hair with this. I should mention, however, that my sister tried it and said she liked it and that it held her hair well. I received this complementary in exchange for my review thanks to Influenster and Biolage! I will start by saying that I deducted a star because it says this is a humidity-resistant hairspray and I was super excited about that element of this product but I didn't notice any humidity protection. Now onto the things I like about this hairspray… this hairspray REALLY dries fast, like almost instantly and I like that a lot. This hairspray also holds my hairstyle extremely well and for the whole day. The thing I love most about this hairspray is that it provides so much volume to my hair! I just did like the bottle said and lifted my hair and sprayed close to my roots. I've used a couple of different volumizing hair sprays but this one provided the best results, it just didn't last because the humidity flattened my hair and curls. If you don't like scents, you may not like this. It has a hairspray smell mixed with a slight floral type of smell. I like it, it smells better than other hairsprays to me. I found it pretty hard to wash this hairspray out of my hair, which is a good thing because it probably holds up well in the rain. Even though I deducted a star I'd still recommend this because it's a great hairspray, I love the volume it added to my hair!

I'm always sceptical about reviews raving about products, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this mousse, I spray it into my hands & put it all through my fine hair & I've found it to really increase the volume of my hair, my hair even has a bouncy feel to it once I've dried, which is something anyone with fine, straight hair will understands, that never happens. I have fairly fine hair that is not thick and runs oily. This product gives me all-day natural volume whether I choose to wear my hair with its natural wave or blow it out in a straighter style. It feels touchable; I don't feel any buildup or oiliness. I am pretty sensitive to scents, that is my least favorite thing about this product as it does have an artificial confection-like scent but that dissipates after a little while if you can wait it out. It didn't make me sneeze or give me a headache though and I didn't smell like a grandma so since it also gave me the results I wanted I was willing to wait an hour for the bake shop to close! It is CGM-compliant so no silicones or sulfates and cruelty-free which I love. After trying a ton of foams and mouses this is the one I kept and use every day.Amanda

This was my first time buying Marc Anthony Strictly Curls enhancing Foam. The product foamed well, smelled good, and did not seem drying. I was disappointed that it was supposed to be a extra hold on the curls. I would use again I just wouldn’t use as an extra hold product.
