20 Best Styling Product For Men’S Long Hair (Feb 2023 Update)

I have been approached by women complimenting me on my hair after using this. My hair looks healthy, just a minimal hint of shine, and great volume even though I have semi-thin hair. I'm fortunate I still have hair. By the way, my hair is long on top and tight on the sides Kind of a like a semi-skin fade. It smells great when the product is in my hair…really great. I've heard from more people that they love the smell. I see what they mean. It has a professional salon-like smell. I've been told that as well. In fact, several friends and family of mine all asked me what I was wearing that smells good, and I told them to smell my hair. They all said, "yep…that smells really clean." I don't want to compare this to other brands but I feel I would be holding back information that could help someone make a definitive decision, so here goes: I have tried Pacino's, Dove, and Clubman mostly including numerous drugstore brands. This seriously replaces all of them. Absolutely no competition…Reformer has the best smell, best hair volumizing properties, amazing shaping ability, and just a hint of shine…I mean the absolute slightest shine, while still appearing matte-like. Lastly, it washes out so easily. Seriously, I feel that you will not regret buying this.. One last thing…I can smell my own hair when wearing the product and I the strength of the smell definitely varies directly with the amount used. So, start light and wear it for a few hours. I have purchased Reformer from legit retailers in the past and has been one of the only products that keeps my hair styled all day long. This product appears to be a cheap knockoff that does not hold you hair for more than 20 minutes. It also smells bad and leaves an oily feel after. Been using for a long time but sometimes it's not available in drug stores or grocery. Therefore, I ordered online and got a better deal buying a greater quantity. It works good on my hair (what's left of it) and the hold usually lasts the better part of a day. To re-style, I just moisten my brush and brush my hair to my liking. I might or might not re-spray. For many, many years I have used the Consort Men's Aerosol hair spray and loved it. A few months ago i realized that i was getting low on it and found it almost impossible to find either at all, or at reasonable prices. I then decided that I might try the Consort non-aerosol hair spray so that at least I would have something to use. When I got home I tried it the next day and was disappointed. The spray is too thick and wide. As such, it gets all over one's hand when spraying and it is too wet. By comparison the aerosol is a fine spray that can be controlled, covers better and holds how I want it to. Thinking that the aerosol version may never come back, I purchased several bottles of the non-aerosol, which I now regret. Why? Not only because it is just not as good a product as the aerosol, but I recently was able to get a reasonable supply of the aerosol locally, which should hold me (no pun intended) for a while and hopefully the supply chain issues for it, if that is what is behind its lack of availability, will improve for all users.hjc

The price was $31.00 and was charged $41 for 6 cans. Not available in the actual store anymore, where I paid $3.00 and change. Compared the ingredients and products are not the same! Spray in the copy is more powerful, which is not a good thing, goes all over the bathroom and in my eyes. Tried calling the telephone on the can for customer service. This product is meant to be a multi-purpose styling milk to help reduce frizz, increase shine, provide mild to medium style hold, heat and humidity protection and is heat activated. I’ve used a few different milks from different companies and I’d say this one is about 4/5 compared to some of the other products I have tried. It does provide some level of style hold without making your hair grungy or stiff which I like and I think is due to the cassia bark polymer, which is a great more natural alternative to a synthetic chemical style holder. It definitely helps increase shine but not in a greasy or oily way, rather truly in a more natural-looking way. Now, where my issues come in are humidity and frizz. The humidity protection is noticeable, but it still isn’t enough to provide protection if you go to the beach or any type of medium level of humidity or above environment. Next, the frizz reduction is also mild. It tames the frizz quite a bit from baseline but it doesn’t totally knock out the frizz look since the product is heat activated and it needs a high heat setting on your blow drier (as opposed to med or low) to activate. However, the smell is incredible and as someone with short hair I only need one pump so it will last a long time and overall, the ingredient list is excellent. It is obvious that JVN made a really strong effort to create a clean product and sustainable product. First, let me say that I have curls and waves all over my head (which I love) but there are times that I really love to straighten my hair for that smooth hair feeling. It takes a LOT of heat, time and styling products to tame my hair because it's super thick and curly. Buckle down, this is gonna be a long one! Both I and my partner used this product several weeks before reviewing. We both have mid-back length hair, his is straight, fine, and silky, while mine is curly, fine, and textured. I used it for blowouts and enjoyed the shine and softness it gave my hair. The only downside I found is that it did not reduce frizz. However the blowout lasted almost a full week (my scalp is rather dry so I almost never get oily hair). My partner washes his hair more often as it's oilier and blow dries it every time. This product was a one and done for him, giving him volume and making his hair more pliable for styling. So I know these products are mostly geared towards men but as a female they work wonders too . I recently had to completely GI Jane my hair due to horrible bleach damage and hair falling out in clumps . So now it’s grown back and I can do a kinda faux hawk look with this stuff . I love the smell and no shine and has just enough grip and hold . Also nice it’s water soluble when you shampoo . I’ve tried others but nothing compares to this brand . Great job . This truly is AMAZING! After my stylist told me about this product, and after reading many amazing reviews about it, I decided to try it out. And WOW, this product delivers! I tried bedhead matte separation wax, the Salon Guy Clutch XL, Baxter clay pomade, hanz de fuko sponge wax, hanz de fuko claymation, hanz de fuko quick sand, Mr pompadour paste, Blumaan, Kevin murphy rough rider, mitch reformer & mitch matterial (which I think are both really great pre-stylers). My very favorite so far was the Kevin Murphy Night Rider. It's a fantastic paste, matte finish, phenomenal hold. BUT you have to be careful not to apply too much because it can become a bit heavy and shiny the next morning. Now this stuff, the moroccanoil texture clay is on another level. It gives a ton of volume, a ton of texture, a totally matte finish, like, you can't even see you even have anything in your hair. It gives this tiny "grit" to your hair, a bit of a lived in look, and the hold is amazing! It holds super well, and yet, it feels like there is nothing in your hair. It also thickens your hair.. So if you have medium – fine hair like me, you'll look as if you had twice the amount of hair on your head! LOL It's a clay, and yet, it's easy to scoop out, and it breaks down in a very nice, creamy way, making it very easy to spread through your hands and apply to your hair. Some clays and waxes are difficult to apply to dry hair because they tend to pull the hair as you do.. This here, thanks to its creamy feel once warmed up, goes into the hair like butter! You'll feel a bit of a gritty feel as you apply.. But that's the effect this clay gives, that second day lived in look, but yet very natural. The Hold is truly amazing in it! Because it's light, and perfect for fine hair as it swells the hair, you can layer this product for more hold. Start with a little amount, and add a little more if needed. It's super versatile.. You can get a soft hold and nice texture, with just a tiny amount, all the way to a lived in, messy, texturized look, with a super strong hold, depending on how much you use. This does the same thing as their texturizing spray, but, with a strong hold! The smell is a unique, very clean and fresh smell. It's not overpowering, it's very light, and smells really nice! I don't even need to use texturizing powder anymore, this does everything LOL You can also use a little bit as a pre-styler, for great volume and body. And because it has argan oil, it also acts as a heat protectant.. Honestly, it's truly an amazing product.. I'm glad I decided to try it out.. Doesn't matter your hair type, length, this will give you that awesome, next day, texturized, lived in look, with a great hold. I strongly suggest you to try it out.. Let's start by saying that I've tried lots of putties, clays, gels, and sprays on my hair. My hair can be heavy in one area and thin in others so it will be difficult to manage at every chance it gets. However, this Clay is where it's at I'm telling you. This stuff I will put a little tiny bit in my hane maybe a dime's worth no more than a nickel, because now than a nickel would be overkill. And it just seems to work like magic. I haven't used this product in a long time. I do remember it very clearly. I bought this at one of the discounted or liquidated stores. If I remember right it was either t.j. Maxx or Burlington. It is very Vivid in my imagination that I was trying to do everything to get rid of it. I know it stayed in my downstairs bathroom with a little bit left in the bottle. I hated the residue that it left on my hair and the lack of my hair feeling clean after using this. My ex-husband was very bad about using the last of a product once it got down to the bottom of it. Anyone who dyes their hair copper knows that copper pigmented hair dye will not stay onto the hair particle for long. A brand new copper color hair do will last about a week or two before it fades into a honey brown color, and eventually a yellow-brown color. With this in mind, there are products that will help to prolong the dye coloration and slow down the fade process, and I turn to Redken shampoo every time​ to get the job done whenever I need to prolong my copper dye. I use this along with the Redken conditioner Color Extend and shampoo three x a week, conditioner once a week, and my copper pigmented color will last about 2 months before it fades onto a honey brown and eventually to a yellowish brown by the 4 months mark. This is my first foray into pomades, and I was braced for something between a hair oil and the crunchy gels of the 80s. I was pleasantly surprised to find Cremo delivered something far better. This pomade is a solid hold, especially when worked through do hair, and it holds for 24 hours, if not longer. I've been able to mist water on my hair and comb it back into place after sleeping for a second day's hold. It doesn't have a strong smell, which is great — nothing to compete with my aftershave and cologne. I have 3a/b curly hair, ringlets with big volume and I thought I'd never be able to wear my hair straight without using a straightener religiously. And with this product alone, I can wear my hair slicked back and mostly straight in a Peaky Blinders cut. That's the kind of hold Cremo delivers, and I'm a convert for life. I recently received this Cremo Thickening Styling Paste #freeproduct from #trywithtopbox to try in exchange for an honest review. This is the first time my fiancé is trying a styling paste, he usually uses hair glue for his hair. He found that the product was easy to use and work into his hair. The texture of the paste is really soft and not at all sticky or tacky. It however does not have as much hold as his usual hair glue. He actually has pretty thick hair to begin with so he couldn't tell if there was a thickening effect. However, he said he really loved the scent of product. Most hair styling products he has tried usually smells waxy or has a overwhelming perfumy scent. This one smells like an old fashioned barber shop. This is the best hair gel I've ever tried after many brands off and on over the years. This has a mild scent that fades quickly, it washes out easily and cleanly, and the price is unbeatable. In my case, I have relatively thick straight hair (ginger) and this gel worked well when the hair is cut short. But at medium length ( 6") it does not hold for long. But that is no fault of the hair gel. It really depends on your haircut. I totally recommend this gel, especially at the price.Clay

I really like Pinaud styling gel. They used to carry it in the area that I live, but the stores that used to carry it all stopped carrying it for some reason. There was one barber shop a few miles away that still carried it, but they wanted close to $30 per jar for it. PharmaPacks, LLC makes it so easy to get it now, and their prices are super reasonable. I’ve tried a lot of hair products over the years and found Clay to work best for my hair type. Of all the clays I’ve tried (recent clays I’ve tried are Triumph and Disaster’s ‘Coltrane’ and Shear Vivial Northern Lights) I’ve found Hanz de Fuko Claymation to be the best I’ve used. It’s very easy to apply, no pulling. It’s very easy to create the style you want and it stays in place throughout the day. It doesn’t dry hard or feel greasy and it’s easy to restyle. It gives a natural healthy finish. It’s very easy to wash out with just water. I don’t like to use shampoo very day so this is something I look for in a product. The only negative is the price but you don’t need to use much so it does last a long time. I’d rather pay more for a great product which I know works.Robert M.
