I am in love with Pureology Smooth Perfection Shampoo! This is my first time trying Pureology and I had no idea what to expect. The first thing I noticed about the smooth perfection shampoo was the scent, I loved the hints of cocoa. Upon first application I decided to use a small amount and I am glad I did, a little bit goes a long way with this shampoo. I have really long hair and I only had to use a quarter size amount or less. I want to point out that I always have to use a handful of shampoo when I use my usual drugstore brand, so I was shocked by how little I had to use of the pureology. I massaged the shampoo in my hair for a good 1 to 2 minutes and then proceeded to wash it out. My hair felt so soft and clean without feeling stripped at all. I typically have a lot of fallout when I wash my hair, but noticed less strands of hair coming out while washing. I followed up by using the pureology smooth perfection conditioner. I also use a quarter size amount or less and it was more than enough. I focused this conditioner at the ends of my hair and put whatever was leftover on my roots. I let the conditioner sit for the recommend time of 1 to 2 minutes and then proceeded to wash it out. I felt like it took no time to wash all of the conditioner out. My hair was less tangled and overall felt so much healthier than what I am used to. I used the smoothing lotion on the ends of my hair, blow dried my hair and was so amazed by the end result. The end result after I blow dried and straightened my hair was incredible. My hair was less frizzy and more straight making it so easy to straighten. I would like to add that my hair is very wavy/curly and frizzy after washing. The price for the Pureology Smooth Perfection set is a bit expensive, but honestly it is worth every penny. I got this product complimentary from Influenster and Pureology for my honest review. I really loved how this product worked for my hair. It left it so smooth and silky. It lathered really nicely and felt great when I washed it. It also rinsed out nice and easy and left my scalp feeling great. When I blew my hair dry it was like silk. Absolutely fabulous! Only negative, which I was REALLY surprised about, was the scent of this product. It was not pleasant at all to me and not something like I’ve ever smelled in a shampoo. I didn’t like it and for me that is important in a shampoo. I have other Pureology products and love their scents. it’s just this one that I couldn’t tolerate. Otherwise, I love how the product works, but due to the scent I would not buy this product. Sorry but it’s just my honest opinion. I only like haircare that has a nice pleasant smell and this one fell short in that area. It was almost like lightly nutty and musky and sour all mixed together. I received this product from influencer pureology, but all opinions are completely my own. I have enjoyed using this shampoo. I find that the combination of the shampoo conditioner does help smooth my long hair and does really help smooth frizz. The shampoo cleanes hair great, good lather though it can make hair feel only slightly stripped. Conditioner is a nice one that helps smooth but doesn't overdo it and cause hair to feel heavy. Both help cleanse and Condition my hair without feeling too dry or too weighed down. The heat protectant from this line is nice and I feel it helps smooth hair and help make it somewhat softer. This has got to be my favourite line from kerastase! My hair type is very thick, over processed hair with a natural wave. I find it hard to find a shampoo which nourishes my hair and that doesn’t leave it even more dry and thirsty then it already is. This shampoo- the consistency of this is amazing , thick and creamy , hair feels instantly nourished while I’m washing it. Honestly, since I started using this shampoo with the conditionner, my curls came back to life. I have very thick and curly hair and this shampoo along with the conditionner really helped reduce the frizz and dryness of my hair and a little really does go a long way so you can make it last! The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the price point: it's PRICEY. And I really wished that they offered bigger format for a more "economic" alternative especially for people with longer and thicker hair that obviously need to use more of the product than thinner hair. I have naturally curly unruly coloured treated for decades hair that I use hairdryer & straighteners on. I further abuse my hair by swimming outdoors a lot over tge summer in the sunshine. I was a big Aveda Smooth Infusion fan until I finally listened to my Tony & Guy hairdresser & started using these Olaplex products to repair my badly treated hair & maintain the colour. I am now an Olaplex convert. My hair condition instantly improved after one wash, it smooths my hair better than Aveda Smooth Infusion. It is more concentrated that the Aveda Smooth Infusion so a 250ml bottle of Olaplex lasts much, much longer than the Aveda Smooth Infusion. I bought this for my wife and she use this with the No 0, No 3, and the No 5. I must say the combo of these together is amazing. Her hair was pretty much destroyed frome excessive styling, blow drying and box dyes. We could totally tell a difference after just one use of these products together. Her hair looks healthier, has more shine and manageability, doesn't look as damaged, she isn't yanking out knots when she wakes up and brushes her hair plus it just feels so soft and looks smooth not frizzy. It seems like the texture, strength, and even the way her hair is laying is totally changing. The smells not over powering which is something we both love because sometimes hair fragrances clash with perfumes but not Olaplex it's perfectly balanced. I’ve been having issues with thinning and breakage for a couple of years now and it really does seem like I’ve tried almost everything. I kept my expectations low but since a lot of friends have used and liked Olaplex I decided that it would be worth it to try and so far it has been. Obviously it can’t cure thinning due to stress/genetics but the texture of my hair has approved tenfold since I started using the No 0, 3,4,and5. Since my hair is quite fine and thin I use the bond building treatment and hair perfecter 1-2 times a week for the past month. Honestly I am stunned at the results. Since it’s not a permanent fix but a treatment, you do have to continue using it. I did read somewhere that there’s no way for it to permanently fix your already damaged hair but it can definitely treat it while the damage grows out. It doesn’t weigh my hair down, there’s no apparent residue, and it felt healthier and looked healthier after only the first try and has consistently improved since. I’ve tried so many products that just seem to sit on top of my hair and reflect light instead of actually improving anything texturally. Wow! Best shampoo I have ever used by far! I have spent years trying to find a shampoo that doesn’t make my hair a tangly matted mess but this cleans my scalp and give my hair slip and hydration at the same time, I have dry curly / wavy hair that gets split ends and breaks easily and I have noticed a significant different in the ends and over all appearance and feel of my hair since using this shampoo and the correlating conditioner. The shampoo has a decent lather and you don’t need much of it as a little goes a long way. The only downside is that for me this product was a lot more than what I’d usually spend on a shampoo/ conditioner but is definitely worth the investment for something that actually works for my hair for once.sophie.b
I really wanted to like this but I just couldn’t so I returned it. The scent was the most part for me… I expected the same scent as the original Moroccanoil Hair oil so maybe my expectation was high? I have long hair (almost touches my coxis; half of it is dyed because I’m trying to achieve a melted effect.. from my natural dark brown to grey) So my ends need help to maintain its elasticity, moisture and prevent split ends. I got everything from this brand that I was able to afford to start taking care of it . (Repair, protect and restorative products) It has passed 2 weeks and I’m planning on keep washing my hair every 3-4 days; I have experienced NO frizz as before, no tangle hair, it’s feels soft , smell great, more manageable. I love the scent of living proof products and this one is no different. For a while, I’d been getting out of the shower and my scalp was still visibly oily and gross and I tried everything to fix it. My hair has always been fine but now that I'm 58, on hormones and thyroid meds, my hair is thin. I first tried Full shampoo almost a year ago and didn't notice a change in my hair. I was given another bottle in May and tried it again. I was amazed. My hair was more full and manageable within a week or so. I then saw the Flourish shampoo and thought the description was exactly for me. Unfortunately, it was not and I started to see thin spots on my temples. I also noticed the Flourish shampoo does not lather the way the Full shampoo does. It makes it hard to be sure you have applied it to your whole head. Normally I wouldn't care about lather but when it is a treatment shampoo it is needed to ensure you get coverage. I have dry ends, normal scalp thick wavy hair and wash my hair every 3 or 4 days. On wash days, I wash my hair once, rinse and wash a second time, and this shampoo cleanses all my hair while not drying it out. It foams nicely and leaves my scalp feeling clean without stripping it of any moisture. It does not irritate my scalp either. It works great as a first step before the conditioner from the same line. This shampoo in combination with the conditioner leaves my dry hair so soft and moisturized without weighing down my hair or leaving any residue. While this shampoo smells lovely it failed in actually cleaning my hair. I have wavy, colour treated hair. My hair is super long (below mid back) and dry from occipital bone down and normal at scalp. I wash my hair every 3rd shower because drying and straightening takes foreverrrrrrr so I need my shampoo to really clean my hair. After using this shampoo once my scalp was oily by the end of my workday on DAY 1! Super annoying when you usually don’t need to wash your hair daily. I think this shampoo would be fantastic for anyone who’s entire head of hair is extremely dry but for me it just wasn’t great. Feels like a layer of protection is on the hair (the keratin I suspect) beautiful! I used this conditioner on my hair (along with a leave-in conditioner from a different brand) to do a twist-out. While my hair was still wet, it felt a little different, but I couldn’t put my finger on how it was different. However after my hair dried, I noticed my hair was soft and smooth. It was easy to separate my hair in the twist-out which in turn made it less frizzy. Perhaps it was the blend of oils that nourished my hair and made it easier to style my twist-out, but I could feel the difference. It's also a bonus that this brand is considered clean by Sephora standards and it’s vegan & cruelty free. It made it easy to separate my hair, which in turn made it less frizzy because my hair wasn’t fight to stay connected. It just let go. And it was fantastic.evelynnalfred
I had been using a shampoo and conditioner recommended by my cousin who does my hair, I asked the lady if they had any more of the conditioner to go along with the shampoo I wanted. She couldn't find any so She went to check the back to see if it was available and they didn't have it. She then came back and recommended me this brand and ever since I've bought it my hair has felt dirty and the consistency of the shampoo it is very thin. It does not lather very well. I have really thick course hair and it feels dry and dirty. I will definitely not buy this again. I'm having a hard time believing that this is better than Redken frizz dismiss. I like my shampoo to lather up. Even though lather isn’t necessary to getting clean hair, for me it just spreads around easier and makes shampooing go a little faster. This one doesn’t lather up much and takes forever to work into my hair. It smells really good! And I would say it’s gentle on hair. But for my hair it just doesn’t work. my hair still feels dirty at the roots. Maybe this would be good as a daily shampoo??? But it doesn’t get hair product or natural oils that weigh your hair down at the roots cleaned off very well at all. It’s a thinner runny consistency. So If you like that this is for you. To start – I have coily, thick hair but very thin hair strands. This has been the ONLY shampoo I’ve ever used that doesn’t completely strip my hair or cause ridiculous tangles in the shower. I’ve been using this for about 3/4 years now and I have no complaints. I’m able to start my wash days off without stress because of this shampoo. It’s also gentle on my hair. I’ve also had success in the past with using it to get my hair “squeaky clean” just by doing a deep double wash versus one. I’ve yet to even encountered a conditioner that detangles my hair as well as this does! I hope this product never gets discontinued because I’m 100% loyal to this product!!Amber B
I was looking for something more moisturizing for my relaxed hair as my current shampoo was too clarifying, despite claiming to be moisturizing as well. I switched to this one and after one wash, condition and flat iron, it's giving fresh out the salon chair. Much fewer fly-aways, my hair looks shinier and physically feels more moisturized. Ok curly girls! This is a true find. I purchased this from Ulta. I had never heard of this brand before so I stumbled upon it. I thought why not give it a chance and wow so glad I did. This is a sulfate free shampoo but does lather up. It lives up to it's name! You want moisturized curls? Well here it is. Soft hair? Here it is. What I love about this product as soon as you put this sulfate free shampoo on your hair you can tell the difference compared to other sulfate free shampoo. I love that it lathers up and feels slick in my hair. It really detangles my hair and when you rinse your hair you can actually run your finger through your hair. This product also helps with frizz. So yes run out and get yourself a bottle you'll be glad you did. Trust me I have tried so many high priced shampoos that didn't live up to the hype. Price is decent. This is now my shampoo of choice. Ok so! I love this shampoo. This has been the only shampoo to clean my hair and bot dry it out. My natural gwols know how frustrating it can be to wash, moisturize and style your hair and then it be dry and toe up the next. I know how it feels to buy a hundred plus dollars of products to be disappointed or mixing them with new products so money isn't wasted. I washed my hair the first day I bought this and fell in love. My hair was soft. It didn't dry out after and the tea tree leave-in…girl use that too! I haven't tried the detailing conditioner yet because they were out of stock when I purchased. Probably because of that half off sale. I did find that this and Taliah's apple aloe deep conditioner work well together. My hair was shiny, easy to comb and style. I also used the Tgin moisturizer. I have a mix of 4b and 4c hair. My daughter's has 4b hair and it works perfect for her. Her wash and go's hold all day even after recess and a long day at school. My sister has used a nice amount of the leave in and moisturizer, now I have to buy more lol. I am going to try the honey mask and the anti-breakage serum. I will be leaving reviews also. I want to note I am leaving this review after a few weeks of using. I like to get a feel. I washed my hair with the Taliah apple aloe shampoo and it was giving dry and not for me. Let me start off my by saying this product is AMAZINGGGGG ! I usually have a very hard time finding the right products for my hair especially when it comes to shampoo . My hair is usually VERY dry and soaks up moisture QUICK most shampoos tend to leave my hair even more dry and brittle feeling. this shampoo along with the conditioner has done wonders for my hair. After washing my hair with this shampoo it’s left feeling so soft and manageable making my hair easier to stay detangingd throughout the wash process ! I have moderately frizzy but mostly straight Caucasian hair and I've been using natural, sulfate/paraben free shampoos for a year or so now. I like TGIN because it makes my hair SUPER silky and soft. The conditioner detangles so well that I can easily wide tooth comb my hair straight out of the shower. However, my hair does feel very heavy and has NO volume whatsoever after using this. I also have to wash more frequently as my hair gets oily way faster, oily to the point it looks bad. To the touch and the eye, my hair looks fantastic with this product but I might look for something that doesn't require such frequent washing in the future.Jauhnam8

The first time I tried this it was based on a recommendation from my daughter. I had never even heard of this brand before. The curl conditioner and the curl shampoo are nothing less than miraculous. I am in love with both of these products. I went to visit my mom recently. I was pulling my teardrop camper so I just wanted travel sizes. I thought I could make do for a week using some other products I had in travel sizes. No. No. No. I ended up going out and buying new bottles because I couldn’t stand to be without them.carla.b
So I was very hesitant to try this shampoo because of some of the reviews but now I regret not trying it sooner. Some of the complaints are that it doesn’t get your hair clean and i feel like that may be true if you’ve only ever used shampoos with silicones and switch to this. You have to use the clarifying shampoo first if you have never used silicone free before otherwise the moisture won’t get to your hair because of the silicone still left on your hair strands. This shampoo makes my hair so soft and has such a luxurious lather. I didn’t think I would like the nozzle but the shampoo is a thinner consistency so it comes out easily and deposits right on the scalp. I think I’ve finally found my holy grail shampoo. My hair is no longer frizzy and my curls are defined. You have to try it!paigespink
The one good thing about this shampoo is the packaging. The product goes directly onto the scalp with the perfectly sized nozzle. That's it though. The shampoo smells like men's deodorant. The smell doesn't fade, either. The shampoo doesn't rinse clean. My hands and hair felt oily and heavily conditioned just from the shampoo. It left a film on my hair that seemed to make it fall straight down. All of my waves and curls hung limply, with no definition, lots of frizz, and just awful. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHAMPOO. *I'm going to review the conditioner and weightless shine jelly separately, but they are awful as well. Why does every single thing smell like Axe body spray? The. Best. Shampoo. Great for all hair types. This product does not have a lot of lather because it's completely sulfate-free. That means long-lasting color! The good thing is yes there is a nice cool tingle when you put it on and rinse it off…outside of that, I did not find that it made my hair any softer than other Enjoy conditioners . The consistency is very thin for a conditioner and it did not go on smoothly. The main dislike however is the fact that it definitely SMELLS medicated…think Vicks Vapo Rub. In fact, the scent of it was strong enough to temporarily make my eyes burn and water. So if you are looking for a conditioner with a good scent or you are sensitive to strong smells, this is probably not for you.Angelina

My hairdresser used the shampoo and conditioner from this line on me one day. I absolutely love the smell of it. It reminds me of gingerbread. I ordered both the shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is pretty good however I noticed the conditioner isn’t very thick. It doesn’t have good slippage for my curls and I did not feel like my hair absorbed it well. Wow. Just wow. Tomorrow (Friday April 24) will be two full weeks since I started growing beard. My beard is white, which means it is coarser than dark colors. I have made it this far using jojoba oil and coconut oil. The 3 IN 1 shampoo/conditioner/beard wash arrived today and I am extremely surprised to find how well it works. It took my face of straw (which could probably cut glass if I rubbed against a window) and made it instantly soft!It is unscented, but, since ingredients tend to have a smell I can tell you that this smells very mild and very pleasant. Upon opening it I laughed and told someone that it smelled a little like melon and beer. A second sniff made it smell like melon bread…if there was such a thing. The smell disappears as soon as you rinse it. Believe me, I am so easily put off by perfumes, colognes, added fragrances (even natural ones) so when I say that this product is mild and acceptable I truly mean it.I highly recommend this.
I have been trying things out for years. As a celiac patient with severe allergies to just about everything, including oils good for hair, I had just about given up. I have white, dry, fine hair and white hair is very coarse/unruly. On top of that my skin itches excessively. This conditioner isn't a miracle cure but it comes close for me. It especially shines when using the shampoo which I ordered later.The service from the company is very attentive and answers questions promptly. Everybody's situation is different so I can't recommend this, or any other product, as right for them. However, if you have been looking for a fragrance free shampoo and meet some of the conditions I mentioned I think you should give this a try.Some people felt it dried their hair out. First, if you have a lot of product in your hair it can take several weeks before it washes out and you can accurately assess how any new product works for you. Second, your water makes a dynamic difference in how soaps of any kind will affect your situation. In my case I have soft water which not only affects sudsing but also how a product will bind with my hair. Third, your health and medications will also determine how well something works. And fourth, when you use different products from different lines your results may not be as good as using the same manufacturers product and compatible lines.Hope this helps someone.
I am writing this with so much relief that my scalp finally feels soothed. I had trouble with itchy, dry scalp, but oily roots. I am very sensitive to fragrance and was using Free & Clear's zinc shampoo. This did seem to help the skin flaking. But my scalp felt overdried and agitated after using it.This product is very soothing and much more gentle when cleansing your scalp. I am really appreciating the cucumber in this formula; I find cucumber very calming for my sensitive skin and i tolerate it well. I will primarily use this and then switch in the zinc shampoo for more clarity or treatment as needed. I'm very happy with this shampoo. It's been a lifesaver.A lot of people seem to be complaining about the scent but I do not find it to be that bad. It dissipates fairly quickly and is not very potent. I wouldn't say it smells anything like cucumber. It's more of a chemical scent.

Oh wow. I see now why this is always sold out on Ipsy points lol! I’ve had this for a while but used it once and forgot about it. I’ve been on a strict finishing my products and it’s now this guys turn… I shampoo, condition my hair, apply this on my damp hair and put a hair towel on to let the product sink in. After a few minutes I use a hair dryer and then I use a Soleil round blow drying brush. I SWEAR I feel like I went to the salon and it’s all because of this product!!!!!!! Okay I'm curious about this product and the claims it helps reduce shedding/fallout. I can say I had less shedding after using this shampoo. I will see how it does after a few washes. It wasn't very moisturizing for me though. The SNAG FREE pre shampoo had such great slip and had my hair feeling great. I was expecting a lot more from this shampoo. I’m a huge fan of pre-pooing since it makes washing my 3c/4a hair much easier and this pre-shampoo did not disappoint. I like that I could easily work it into larger sections so I didn’t have to spend too much time applying it. I sectioned my hair into 4 parts and then sectioned each of those into two (for a total of 8 sections) to work the product in. I went in with a quick finger detangle then followed up with my detangling brush. Let’s just say my curls were poppin! Made the shampooing and conditioning steps a breeze.a2b18
Okay when I first tried this I was like what ? This step has been a game changer in my curly routine. I never thought of detangling my hair before shampoo.
