I have an oily scalp with wavy waist length thick hair (many thin/low porosity strands). Color treated blonde. Problems: fluffy/poofy hair, greasy roots, dry ends, seborrheic dermatitis (on back of scalp) 1. Product longevity: I only used the allotted card sample packet of 10 mL shampoo & 10 mL conditioner, which I was prepared to not be enough for my long hair. It was perfect! It went a long way, which was a pleasant surprise right off the bat. 2. Scent: the fragrance is pleasant, light but it hangs in there, even into the next day. The scent is unisex. It just smells very *clean,* like a fresh aquatic citrus. Although it’s subtle, it is noticeable enough to get a “ooh your hair smells good” when someone goes in for the hug. 3. Effectiveness: this cleaned my hair so well, without making it feel overly dried or stripped. I have a hard time getting a good product that works with my dermatitis, and actually calmed the flare up I was having. Day 2 after wash, my head was so much less itchy than it was all week. My hair stayed clean and free of grease throughout all of day 1 and 2. Paired with the conditioner, my hair was smooth, shiny, soft (but not overly fluffy/full of poofy flyaways). It felt hydrated and my ends looked good. I’ve been faithful to olaplex for the past 2 years, but think I may have a new fave. I noticed that with olaplex, my hair began getting greasy SO quickly. I was getting greasy same day as wash. I still love it (that LATHER and scent tho!), but I think it’s too rich and moisture-focused for regular use given my oily scalp. My seborrheic dermatitis was getting worse and having intense flare ups. Anyway, everyone’s hair is different, and can change in different seasons, so I really don’t think there’s a “one size fits all” hair product that will be best for everyone at all times. For reference: I have LONG hair with a naturally wavy/curly texture, and with that comes frizz. A lot of it – even though I'm very aware of how to tame it (naturally kept or with a blow-out). My hair behaves weirdly, i'll just put it that way – it's difficult to achieve perfectly smooth styles. HOWEVER… I've been using OUAI products (I started with the THICK SHAMP+THICK COND.) for a little bit over a year now & all I can say is…I will NEVER go back to anything else, ever, unless I find something AS extraordinary as this brand. It's like magic in a bottle, to me at least. I have never experienced better hair (at home, done by me) in my entire life. It's insanely smooth & silky. I have such minimal frizz now. I normally need to blow dry AND straighten my hair, but I am beyond satisfied with just the blow-dried results. The only cons, I would say, is that because there's such rich and moisturizing ingredients (love to see it!) your hair can become a tad oily after the third day, even second sometimes. You just need to figure out what the right amount of product is for you so that you don't over do it. The second con, though it's nothing too crazy, would be that sometimes I end up needing more product in the shower, as it doesn't lather suuuuper well – but again, this depends on hair length and the amount that you know you need. I guess I just wish it foamed a bit more, is all. BUT these are such small things that can be resolved & aren't much of a big deal. For the oily con as mentioned above, this is why I switched to the MEDIUM line & I feel like it has helped. The THICK line may have heavier ingredients. I have tried SO many different shampoos and conditioners. A lot from drugstore and high end. And lately I've noticed I've been shedding more than usual. I have been using pureology a lot. I've used strength cure, hydrate and the nano works good line. But for some reason the pureology strength cure especially really irritated my scalp and makes me lose soooo much hair. So I got the ouai thick hair shampoo and conditioner and the first time I used it my shedding was only like 10 hair strands! I've washed my hair 4 times with it now and my hair scalp feels so clean but the shampoo makes washing my hair so easy and doesn't tangle my hair. And the conditioner is chefs kiss. I barely have to use any and my hair is so conditioned after the shampoo/conditioner. My hair is so soft, shiny, clean and my natural waves/curls look really pronounced since using the set. Also they smell AMAZING I want a perfume in the shampoo scent! I got the leave in, oil, and curl cream and they all work together beautifully and don't make my hair feel producty which I like because pureolgy always leaves my hair feeling kinda gross when I use their leave ins. My hair was coming out in handfuls before I started using this. I have only been using this shampoo and conditioner for about a month and I am a believer! I only lose a small (normal) amount of hair when I shower and I don't feel that it's falling out excessively during the day. The reviews are true about this leaving your hair greasy, but after a few weeks of use, my hair has adjusted and is no longer greasy. Take your time really washing your scalp and rinsing, just like your hairdresser would, and you'll be fine. I also switched to a Wet brush made for distributing oil and it has really helped make my hair shiny after using this shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is creamy in texture and quite strongly scented like tea tree which I love (but may not be everyone's cup of tea!). It helps clear build-up from my scalp, as promised and doesn't strip my hair color, although I do find it slightly drying – in itself not a problem as the conditioner used straight after balances out the effect. Usually I find it difficult to find an effective shampoo to clear build-up but this one actually does it, and as a bonus I also found it helps keep my scalp clear of the psoriasis that flares up every now and again, possibly due to the Tea tree. With regards to hair fall, I can't say I noticed any difference, but it's possible I just haven't used it long enough. And I don't plan on using it for much longer either because the issue with this shampoo is that whether I use it once, twice or three times per wash, my hair is left feeling/looking greasy and very flat. I like the product. I usually have a great experience but this time was not the case. I had an address change in the middle of an order and changed it in my account and chatted with someone and gave them the new address. I ended up buying this product from the company as Sephora is always out of stock. I have colour-treated, very fine, mostly straight, thinning hair, and a normal (not oily or dry) scalp. I liked this product at first–gave me noticeable, above-average, volume, and it appeared healthy. However, over time (about three months) it has severely dehydrated my hair and stripped the colour. The dehydration is now making my hair look even thinner. I’ve struggled with dandruff for years and have tried EVERY product; Selsun Blue, T/Gel, head and shoulders, home remedies, you name it. Head and Shoulders was really the only thing I found that kept it somewhat at bay and I still only use the condition along with using Nizoral shampoo. I have very thick and curly hair so I don’t wash it often which is why none of the other products worked for me because they would make my hair way too greasy. This is going to sound very disgusting but at one point many years ago I had dandruff really really bad. At least I thought it was the address. This was one that I had seen recommended by other people. Nizoral actually helped my condition and I was quite surprised that they didn’t need a prescription shampoo. I don’t see my dermatologist very often and to get in there is a bit of a wait so I don’t bother anymore. I received the Pureology Hydrate Sheer products from Influenster for review purposes and have been using the shampoo & conditioner combo for the past 2.5-3 weeks to give it a fair chance prior to reviewing. For reference I have fine, wavy hair that has considerable damage and split-ends from bleaching my hair every 3 months as well as pretty regular use of hot tools/blowdryer. Therefore, I'm in desperate need of hydrating/repairing products that also don't weigh down my fine hair. As for the Hydrate Sheer Shampoo, it's a decent shampoo and gets the job done. A little bit goes a long way, it lathers very nicely and it rinses out easily. My hair is admittedly softer and hydrated after using the shampoo/conditioner pair together – however, I do NOT think this shampoo outperforms my regular favorite shampoos/conditioners from other high end brands – and at this price point I really do expect a higher quality product or at least a more noticable change after nearly 3 weeks of continued use. I wasn't a huge fan of the scent at first, but it did grow on me over time and now I quite enjoy the fragrance. Overall, it's a nice shampoo and I will continue to use the rest of the bottle, but I would not repurchase products from this line as I feel there are better performing shampoos out there for damaged hair at a more affordable price point.JillLo
I have been on a hair journey these past couple of years, including currently growing out my silvers. With this in mind, I expect my non-dyed hair to react differently to shampoos as it grows out more and more, but I have a ways to go still so this review is largely focusing on colored hair. I’ve tried different shampoos in the Pureology line before, and this one feels fairly par for the course. It does not have that endothermic minty coolness of other Pureology products, but it does leave my hair feeling clean. Some people have mentioned it made their hair feel immediately more brittle, but I didn’t notice that. Please note: This is a clarifying shampoo, so perhaps people mistook the removal of product build-up (and the damage that build-up causes) as the shampoo ‘causing brittleness.’ I did immediately follow with conditioner, and then utilized my typical post-wash oils/thermal protection products. My hair feels nice and I do notice nice volume for a couple of days. It’s not a miracle worker, obviously, it’s just a shampoo. You’re not going to get 80s hair from just a shampoo. I only wash my hair every two weeks, and this shampoo/conditioner line didn’t cause excess oil production that would make me need to wash more often, so that is a plus in my book. All this being said, I will likely keep this in rotation with my Olaplex, Oribe, Ouai, and Briogeo products.debra.r
I love the fact that this product is vegan and cruelty free, although it is owned by parent company L'Oreal that does test on animals. The packaging is supposedly made of 95% recycled plastic. Because I was aware of the claims that it contains menthol and burns some people's scalp, I tried my best to follow others' advice and put it mostly on the ends of my hair rather than rubbing it into the scalp. It definitely has a strong mint smell and I still felt a prominent cooling sensation after a few moments even though I avoided putting it on my scalp. The strong menthol combined with hot shower steam stung my eyes a bit so I can't even imagine what it would be like accidentally getting this in your eyes. I wasn't a huge fan of my hair smelling like mint while wet after the shower but the smell faded when my hair dried. After using both the shampoo and conditioner, my hair felt softer and shiny but not dramatically different than when I use drugstore products. I noticed some improvement in my hair's frizziness. Just like with the shampoo, I find this bottle difficult to open. I don't think I would personally purchase this product. But if you're a fan of mint-scented hair products, don't mind spending more money and would prefer a refreshing/revitalizing conditioner, then it might be for you.karolina .k

I have fine hair , but I have lots of them . They are very healthy , not dyed and I wash them every other day. I have been using this shampoo with clay conditioner from the same line for two months. It smells nice , cleanses well without stripping my hair . But ! It does absolutely nothing for volume. I was expecting some texture and body , instead my hair feels lightweight , super soft and fluffy … So my hair naturally feels thicker with any other shampoo . it was the first time ordering Pure abundance and it's awful! It doesn't do anything it says on the website and the bottle, my normally excellent, silky, straight hair becomes brittle and I was not able to comb it after washing it. Following even one single use of Pure Abundance, my hair immediately felt much thinner than it is (I have healthy, normal thickness and straight hair), brittle and I was not able to comb it through at all (I had to put in a leave-in conditioner to be able to manage it). I've been on the hunt for the perfect shampoo for my fine hair that has become quite flat, dull and dry. Not fun. I did quite a bit research and first tried a "drugstore" brand that kept coming up which completely ruined my hair further so I thought to go with Pure Abundance as I have used other Aveda hair products before. The first week or so using this shampoo was so amazing, my hair felt like I just came from the salon, and dried so beautifully naturally, but for the past 3 washes, it went down hill and left my hair very greasy and waxy. At first I thought maybe I didn't put enough in, so the next time I washed my hair I was sure to use a little bit more and scrub properly, still felt waxy, and I did again (third times the charm is my go to), making sure that I rinsed properly thinking maybe I didn't rinse enough, but still waxy on the back and my hair become very dry and feels so rough. Now for a moment (or more accurately, more like several moments, as my review style tends to be on the longer and detailed side, generally) of truth for some of you who may have read my reviews on the Pureology Strength Cure Conditioner and Pureology Strength Cure Miracle Filler I received from Influenster recently may have been waiting for – here are my current thoughts and opinions on the Pureology Strength Cure Shampoo, which I also recently received in my Influenster VoxBox for testing purposes in exchange for my honest and complete review. Overall, there were and are quite a number of things about this shampoo with regards to the way it works with my current (used to be different when I was younger) hair type and condition. My current hair type of relatively thin/fine, ever so *slightly* wavy when it has not been straightened, and sort of a 'combination hair' type – tending to be drier and more prone to breakage near the tips, yet more oily to regular (depending on the day, time of day, weather, my activity level that day, etc) near the top/roots/my scalp area. Some of the things I loved most so far about this after having used this shampoo for probably about seven times or so since receiving it (sometimes my hair gets so oily towards the top – in the summer particularly, that I have to wash it twice a day!) are the light and pleasant, slightly fruity smell (it makes me think strawberries, somewhat), the smoothness of the product, how nicely it lathers, and how it, in combination with the Pureology Strength Cure Conditioner and Miracle Filler products that I also received from my box already seemed to have been making it significant difference to my hair's softness, strength, shine, and overall feeling of increased health. The main thing that I found problems *for me personally* about this shampoo, was that, while it generally has seemed to work very well for the mid-shafts to ends/tips of my hair in terms of nourishing and cleansing properties, unfortunately I found that on a number of occasions, it has not been quite cleansing or clarifying enough near my roots/scalp area for me to feel that that area of my hay was thoroughly clean – therefore, I personally had to either mix or follow up this shampoo with a different shampoo that I have found more clarifying for me personally (recently I have been using an Aussie brand shampoo – I think a volume one, but I can double check on that later). This is my genuine experience with the product so far, and I do hope it has helped you out too! My ethnicity is Asian – Chinese, specifically (my mother is from Hong Kong), and of European Jewish descent on my father's side of the family. Hopefully that may also help give you some baseline information about where my mixed-ancestry hair type originates from. This is a product that I would recommend most for people with regular to drier hair *or* for those of you who are like me with the 'combination hair' I described above, something that would be good to use on the mid-shafts to ends/tips of your hair. I like how my hair feels and the conditioner feels light and creamy. The smell is good. I think I’m seeing fewer flyaways and less frizz. Maybe it is actually strengthening my hair, but I’ve also been using a mini bottle of that 30 benefits leave-in spray-which I’m out of as of today. do notice my hair looking a bit greasy after just a day, but it is blonde-not color treated, and shows grease lines easily, especially since I’m back at work as a teacher spending much less time outside and there’s less sun now that it’s fall-and I’m down to a sulfate shampoo since ai didn’t receive the shampoo but I haven’t received the shampoo yet even though I ordered the duo. I want to try them all before investing in any liter bottles. Years back, my sister had me try her Nano Works in a light green bottle, and it was amazing, but that type is no longer made, and the Nano Gold is even more expensive than the others and not the same. I think this may be awesome-just the scent isn’t my favorite, but it’s really nice and so much better than anything else I have. First, a bit about my hair – so, you have a sense of comparison. My hair is straight and fine, but I have a lot of it, and it has been colored for years and years … everything from fashion colors to varying highlights to my current platinum hair. Basically, my hair was damaged, weak, and tired, my ends were incredibly dry, and, at one point, I even had massive breakage (as in clumps of hair breaking off when I brushed my hair – see photo). I have tried, what feels like, every single hair product known to man from supplements to specialized shampoo and conditioner to leave in conditioners to various oils – you get the idea (you can see some of those products in the background of the photo). So, I was a bit skeptical to try yet another “repair” shampoo, but I am thrilled that I did. Within the product description it states that the shampoo “instantly repairs and shows results after just one use” … well, that statement is true, at least for me. Normally when I wash my hair, after I rinse the shampoo, my ends still have texture to them (they still feel dry); however, after using the combination of BOTH the shampoo and conditioner, my ends felt as smooth as the rest of my hair. Honestly, I have not felt that smooth texture on my ends in years and years. I love that the formula contains less than 1% of synthetic fragrances (though it smells great), is 100% vegan and doesn’t contain parabens or Sulfates SLS or SLES. Yes, the price might seem high, however, you must consider that the shampoo is so highly formulated that one bottle allows for over 75+ shampoos … that’s right, 75+! This shampoo & conditioner did more for my hair in one single wash than any other product has done, period. My hair is much healthier and stronger singly handily because of this shampoo and conditioner. I was able to try this product in exchange for review, which I was thrilled about as I have always wanted to try this particular Shea Moisture line. I have heavily highlighted and have attacked it quite regularly with hot tools. Add in pandemic self-done haircuts, my hair has been feeling rather dry and brittle. After two weeks of using this shampoo, twice a week, My hair feels moisturised but perhaps a little too much so. For my particular hair, I cannot use this is my go-to shampoo, but more as a twice a month or so treatment shampoo. The texture is not like any I have tried before, it is a semi-viscus liquid that pours out like a watery honey, not at all like a standard shampoo, so pay attention in the shower! The smell is a comforting warm vanilla. For my hair this product is a little too moisturising to use with every wash, but if you have coarser hair than mine, I definitely say give it a whirl. I will repeat purchase, as this shampoo does strengthen & restore my hair due effective natural components: Jamaican Black Castor oil, Fair Trade Shea Butter & Peppermint. It's sulfate-free, eligible for colored hair, by the way. The scent is really extremely pleasant like parfume for hair. My man loves the aroma & makes compliments. The only minus that I detected is that as It nourishes hair, my hair becomes one day ahead in comparison with other shampoos with cleaning leading role, not restoring. But I am completely OK with it, as benefits prevail. After use my hair has beautiful silky shine & it becomes healthier. It has helped me to resolve hair loss as well. I was able to try the Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Shampoo as a #freeproduct with #trywithtopbox & was pleasantly surprised. Keeping in mind this is a restorative shampoo it's very unconventional in the way it looks, smells & shampoos the hair. I was very skeptical but was used to it by the 2nd to 3rd time using it. It doesn't suds up/lather as much as a regular shampoo but it does if you really massage the hair well & give it a second shampoo. The color doesn't bother me as I said you get used to it. My hair didn't have the traditional "clean" feeling the first time I used it but there's a definite silkier almost more creamy feel to the hair after using it which is nice. This was a nice surprise! After using it for a few weeks now, I feel like again, I'm used to it & it leaves the hair clean & amazingly hydrated. Keep in mind this is all because this shampoo is sulfate-free (which is a good thing!). So give it a chance! You wouldn't necessarily use this if you have a ton of product in your hair you need to get off (lots of hairspray, gel etc,). This could be used for the second round of shampooing. So recommend to use this when you need some hydration & your hair is heat damaged. Also big plus it didn't burn my eyes which is my number one test with any shampoo especially when I saw the highlighted ingredients as peppermint & apple cider vinegar. I detest mint in general (esp in hair care) & have used products with lots of tea tree oil etc. & do not like it. So points for being subtle smelling & not harsh. Honestly didn't even notice. Just want to start off by saying I received this product for free from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. Now that we got that out of the way, I don’t hate this shampoo, but I don’t think it’s right for my hair type either. When I used it, my hair fell very flat (it never felt heavy but it was clearly weighed down by how flat it fell). It also felt greasy by day 2 which isn’t usually the case for me. I tried it with leave in conditioner, without leave in, with foam volumizer, without it, etc., and nothing helped to give my hair more volume. Once I went back to my regular shampoo, my hair felt much cleaner and healthier. Again, I don’t think this was because this shampoo is terrible, I think it’s just not right for my hair type. I’m also a sulfate girl, so put that into consideration when reading my review. On the plus side, it did leave my hair with a beautiful shine (which may have been partially due to the conditioner as well), so I kind of hate that it didn’t work out for me. Great scent, gentle on hair, nice natural ingredients. I use a lot of product each time I wash my hair – I need to lather-rinse-repeat 3 times before my hair is clean, which I think can be improved if I added e.g. some tea tree oil to the shampoo. It would still require a large dollop for it to lather up, though. I only wash once a week, so if I washed daily, one application would probably be enough. In terms of use, it lasts me a couple of months. Personally I would love a bigger bottle, and have it last longer.iHerb Customer
If you're wanting an all natural shampoo that can deep-clean that head of hair you have then you've found the right product for the job, and I mean RIGHT PRODUCT! I want to start this review off by saying I've used this shampoo for nearly 1 year and my review is completely honest from my own experience ofcourse. I first got this shampoo when I've started to feel like my hair could use a little boost / better shampoo. At first I was really pleased with the shampoo, it felt refreshing, smelled like citruses which I love and made my hair dryer which was a plus for me since my hair is oily often. BUT, it didn't take long for me to notice negative results. My hair progressly got thinner and thinner, started from seeing some hair on my palms when I moved my hand through, to the point I've seen bunch of hair on my towel after I showered. After realizing my hair is falling apart, I decided to change back to normal shampoo to see if there is any difference and there was, my hair got back to normal after a month or two. It took me too long to realize I should stop using this shampoo since I didn't imagine that this shampoo is the cause for my excessive hair loss. I wanted to love this product as I saw many great reviews. I have thinning hair (please note: I do not have thin hair… yet! Lol) and wanted something to bring back some density. I’ve been looking and came across this line, I used with the plumping rinse. The smell is amazing but after my first wash I noticed more hair shedding after my shower and my hair and scalp were dryer than usual. I gave it another go and it was horrible! I never saw so much hair come out while brushing it and throughout the day!! Once dry it definitely was thicker, but my hair was so wirey, both my hair and scalp were ridiculously dry and I would randomly see hair throughout the day which is not the norm for me. This is my own experience so I don’t want to knock the company but I also wanted to get the warning out there as maybe I was allergic to one of the ingredients. And as for the ingredients, I wasn’t thrilled by some of them but figured I’d give it a shot anyway! Obviously that was the wrong decision for me! I’m over 70 and have always had fine hair, but as I have aged it has got worse. My daughter suggested I try plumping wash, what a difference. It’s brilliant, somehow my hair feels thicker and easier to manage. I know it’s it seems a lot to pay out for shampoo, but you don’t need much each time you wash your hair and I love the scent. My hair has always been fine but now that I'm 58, on hormones and thyroid meds, my hair is thin. I first tried Full shampoo almost a year ago and didn't notice a change in my hair. I was given another bottle in May and tried it again. I was amazed. My hair was more full and manageable within a week or so. I then saw the Flourish shampoo and thought the description was exactly for me. Unfortunately, it was not and I started to see thin spots on my temples. I also noticed the Flourish shampoo does not lather the way the Full shampoo does. It makes it hard to be sure you have applied it to your whole head. I have an oily scalp with wavy waist length thick hair (many thin/low porosity strands). Color treated blonde. It just smells very *clean,* like a fresh aquatic citrus. Although it’s subtle, it is noticeable enough to get a “ooh your hair smells good” when someone goes in for the hug. 3. Effectiveness: this cleaned my hair so well, without making it feel overly dried or stripped. I have a hard time getting a good product that works with my dermatitis, and actually calmed the flare up I was having. Day 2 after wash, my head was so much less itchy than it was all week. My hair stayed clean and free of grease throughout all of day 1 and 2. Paired with the conditioner, my hair was smooth, shiny, soft (but not overly fluffy/full of poofy flyaways). It felt hydrated and my ends looked good. I’ve been faithful to olaplex for the past 2 years, but think I may have a new fave. I noticed that with olaplex, my hair began getting greasy SO quickly. I was getting greasy same day as wash. I still love it (that LATHER and scent tho!), but I think it’s too rich and moisture-focused for regular use given my oily scalp. My seborrheic dermatitis was getting worse and having intense flare ups. Anyway, everyone’s hair is different, and can change in different seasons, so I really don’t think there’s a “one size fits all” hair product that will be best for everyone at all times. For reference: I have LONG hair with a naturally wavy/curly texture, and with that comes frizz. A lot of it – even though I'm very aware of how to tame it (naturally kept or with a blow-out). My hair behaves weirdly, i'll just put it that way – it's difficult to achieve perfectly smooth styles. HOWEVER… I've been using OUAI products (I started with the THICK SHAMP+THICK COND.) for a little bit over a year now & all I can say is…I will NEVER go back to anything else, ever, unless I find something AS extraordinary as this brand. It's like magic in a bottle, to me at least. I have never experienced better hair (at home, done by me) in my entire life. It's insanely smooth & silky. I have such minimal frizz now. I normally need to blow dry AND straighten my hair, but I am beyond satisfied with just the blow-dried results. The only cons, I would say, is that because there's such rich and moisturizing ingredients (love to see it!) your hair can become a tad oily after the third day, even second sometimes. You just need to figure out what the right amount of product is for you so that you don't over do it. The second con, though it's nothing too crazy, would be that sometimes I end up needing more product in the shower, as it doesn't lather suuuuper well – but again, this depends on hair length and the amount that you know you need. I guess I just wish it foamed a bit more, is all. BUT these are such small things that can be resolved & aren't much of a big deal. For the oily con as mentioned above, this is why I switched to the MEDIUM line & I feel like it has helped. The THICK line may have heavier ingredients. I have tried SO many different shampoos and conditioners. A lot from drugstore and high end. And lately I've noticed I've been shedding more than usual. I have been using pureology a lot. I've used strength cure, hydrate and the nano works good line. But for some reason the pureology strength cure especially really irritated my scalp and makes me lose soooo much hair. So I got the ouai thick hair shampoo and conditioner and the first time I used it my shedding was only like 10 hair strands! I've washed my hair 4 times with it now and my hair scalp feels so clean but the shampoo makes washing my hair so easy and doesn't tangle my hair. And the conditioner is chefs kiss. I barely have to use any and my hair is so conditioned after the shampoo/conditioner. My hair is so soft, shiny, clean and my natural waves/curls look really pronounced since using the set. Also they smell AMAZING I want a perfume in the shampoo scent! I got the leave in, oil, and curl cream and they all work together beautifully and don't make my hair feel producty which I like because pureolgy always leaves my hair feeling kinda gross when I use their leave ins. Anyway I totally recommend this set and if you're getting greasy hair from this set try the medium or fine hair set. This just probably isn't for your hair type. I purchased both shampoo & conditioner. Before I bought Living Proof 3 purchases ago. I have been on a hunt for a shampoo that would go great with my hair. I wanted to switch off from the drug store products like dove because it was breaking my hair so much & my hair just ultimately got thin wether from bleaching my hair or genetics. Either way we all know that the drug store products can strip your hair. On Living proofs website they have this hair test where it can help you figure out what hair products they have will be good for your hair type. My hair is fine, thin, brittle and super straight. I wanted more fullness in my hair & so far my hair does not have a lot of breakage anymore, I have more hair growth. I wash my hair every 2-3 days (yes, that's still a lot to some of you hahaha) but my hair used to get super oily the 1st day before using Living Proof. Now, I can maintain it within those days & within those days although my hair gets slightly oily it still feels/smells clean. I fell in love with their scent by the way. 8/10 recommend because it is pricey but I think it is very much worth.vb1112
I have thinning hair in some major need of a volume boost. This has definitely helped! The whole experience is such a pleasure. Smells incredible! If you’ve tried any other LP products before, you’ll know what I mean. The shampoo had a nice lather without being too weighty. My hair looked more voluminous and fluffy after use, but not in a major way (see pics). However, it pairs so great with their other volumizing styling products! This is the first time I try a shampoo and conditioner duo from living proof. I have very fine, thin hair that tangles easily and usually volumizing products or thickening products make it more tangled instead of just giving me soft, maneageable volumized hair, but this duo actually worked on my hair. It didn't make it look dull and gave a slight lift that wasn't exaggerated. This shampoo lathered really nicely and made my hair feel clean. I can't use shampoo that doesn't lather so I was satisfied with this one, it wasn't too much or too little. The formula is clear and has a soft fruity scent in my opinion.Sarahg2mua

I have naturally curly unruly coloured treated for decades hair that I use hairdryer & straighteners on. I further abuse my hair by swimming outdoors a lot over tge summer in the sunshine. I was a big Aveda Smooth Infusion fan until I finally listened to my Tony & Guy hairdresser & started using these Olaplex products to repair my badly treated hair & maintain the colour. I am now an Olaplex convert. My hair condition instantly improved after one wash, it smooths my hair better than Aveda Smooth Infusion. It is more concentrated that the Aveda Smooth Infusion so a 250ml bottle of Olaplex lasts much, much longer than the Aveda Smooth Infusion. I have just returned from a week swimming for hours everyday in Greece. Chlorine, sunshine, colour treated unruly hair, hairdryer & straighteners everynight = hair abuse I know. I used Olaplex everynight. I returned with my hair in good condition, the colours maintained & I brought most of the 250ml bottles back of each product. I bought this for my wife and she use this with the No 0, No 3, and the No 5. I must say the combo of these together is amazing. Her hair was pretty much destroyed frome excessive styling, blow drying and box dyes. We could totally tell a difference after just one use of these products together. Her hair looks healthier, has more shine and manageability, doesn't look as damaged, she isn't yanking out knots when she wakes up and brushes her hair plus it just feels so soft and looks smooth not frizzy. It seems like the texture, strength, and even the way her hair is laying is totally changing. The smells not over powering which is something we both love because sometimes hair fragrances clash with perfumes but not Olaplex it's perfectly balanced. The bottles aren't the biggest which was kind of a let down but you don't need near as much as other shampoos so it seems like it will last just as long as a big bottle of regular shampoo. It lathers and rinses out amazingly! The pure magic that comes out of those bottles can't be beat and it's so worth it! The duo of the conditioner, shampoo and other products used together can't be matched or beat! Her hair and her self imaging is healing and getting better after each use. Thank you Olaplex for giving my wife control of her hair and confidence back. We can't wait to see what happens after extended use. I’ve been having issues with thinning and breakage for a couple of years now and it really does seem like I’ve tried almost everything. I kept my expectations low but since a lot of friends have used and liked Olaplex I decided that it would be worth it to try and so far it has been. Obviously it can’t cure thinning due to stress/genetics but the texture of my hair has approved tenfold since I started using the No 0, 3,4,and5. Since my hair is quite fine and thin I use the bond building treatment and hair perfecter 1-2 times a week for the past month. Honestly I am stunned at the results. Since it’s not a permanent fix but a treatment, you do have to continue using it. I did read somewhere that there’s no way for it to permanently fix your already damaged hair but it can definitely treat it while the damage grows out. It doesn’t weigh my hair down, there’s no apparent residue, and it felt healthier and looked healthier after only the first try and has consistently improved since. I’ve tried so many products that just seem to sit on top of my hair and reflect light instead of actually improving anything texturally. I was also stunned at the quality of the product, not just in effect but a little really does go a long way in each one of my products. It smells and feels amazing. I could clearly go on. I’m just so pleasantly stunned! I had read some very negative reviews and was prepared to just take a chance and I’m thrilled and impressed with the results. It’s made me finally feel like I can get my hair back to something I love again. This became my everyday shampoo for when I wanted a good cleanse, soft strands and volume. I have an oily scalp problem. While it doesn't help delay the oil production, this is able to provide a thorough cleanse, leaving my hair (and the room) with this refreshing orange blossom scent. My most favourite thing about it is that it adds a little Zhoosh to my locks. My hair looks bouncy, with volume and, feels lightweight. It's silicone & sulphate free, and doesn't lather much. The one issue I do have with this is that since the formulation is runny and light, I have to use a considerable amount each time. Before meeting this amazing shampoo, I had been using a drugstore shampoo + conditioner for 6 years which were claiming to be sulfate-free. They changed their ingredients, I ended up with little dandruff, itchiness and hair loss. I made my research and found Briogeo! I read a lot about Briogeo's founder Nancy and hooked by her mission. I decided to give these products a try. I have been using the Blossom and Bloom Ginseng+ Biotin Shampoo + Conditioner + Don't Despair, Repair Hair Oil for about 2 months. My scalp gets oily the second day after washing. So, I wash my hair every other day, or sometimes even skip one more day even if it looks oily. This combination of products gives my thin, wavy(type: 2A) baby soft hair more volume and more shine. My hair now grows stronger and does not feel brittle while brushing. My sensitive scalp does not itch anymore. I must admit that the conditioner makes my hair slightly oily the next day, but I prefer the shiny head to a dry & itchy scalp 🙂
I had high hopes for this shampoo but it’s terrible for oily hair. My hair gets quite oily and dirty and I normally wash it every 3 days, I had never had issues with my other shampoos to cleanse my hair in the past but I did with this shampoo. There was nearly no bubbles even when I rub it in my palms before applying to my hair, and so it’s extremely difficult to clean my hair. The first time I had to use 4 pumps to even get my hair clean! Which is a lot considering how small the bottle is honestly. I haven’t had any noticeable difference either in terms of hair volume or texture, so I’ll strongly suggest that you don’t buy it, and especially DONT if you have oily hair because this shampoo doesn’t even clean it well. If I could give this product negative stars I would. I really don’t like being this person but if I can save at least one person from my experience than this is worth the review. I have always had thin hair so I figured I would try this shampoo considering these are suppose to be the main 2 ingredients for hair growth, however, I had the complete opposite affect. I have never lost so much hair in my life and it is absolutely heart breaking for me right now. This product has torn me to pieces because I am unsure as to how I am suppose recover from this serious hair loss. If someone else knows of a product that actually works please let me know. A couple of weeks before Christmas I picked up this shampoo and conditioner to try to give my hair a little more life and to get it healthier. I was thinking my regular pantene wasn't doing the trick. 1 week after using this shampoo my hair started falling out in HUGE clumps in the shower. I thought something was seriously wrong with my health or my stress had gotten worse since we just lost a beloved family member. I just thought it was all me. So I continued to use the shampoo hoping it would eventually help. It didn't. Everytime I washed my hair it would continue to fall out in clumps. I stopped blow drying my hair and would only gently comb the ends of my hair with a wide tooth comb. Even gently combing my dry hair my hair was falling out. My sister (who didn't even know I was losing my hair) sent me a link about a lawsuit with Tressame. There is a major lawsuit because some of their products have caused hair loss and painful scalp burns. I looked it up and sure enough the shampoo I have been using had the ingredient they talked about in the law suit. I looked further into the shampoo and there are reviews all over the place with women complaining about my exact same condition. It's craziness. I washed my hair this morning with my regular ol' Pantene and I didn't experience near the hair loss that I have with the other shampoo.Cyndi
This is the strangest shampoo (and the conditioner) to me. I am used to shampoos that feel frothy and rich, and conditioners that feel silky when I rinse them out. I do a lot of detangling with my fingers in the shower because my hair is so long. It's well past my waist, almost to the top of my legs. Finger detangling in the shower helps prevent a lot of breakage. This shampoo (and the conditioner) scared me at first. I could hardly get my fingers through my hair. It knotted up when I shampooed, and took forever to get the knots out. The shampoo seemed to completely strip my hair, or so it felt. I'm talking SQUEEEEEAKY clean. I assumed that when it dried, it would look like a broom. But it didn't. I also used the conditioner, which didn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling, either. I didn't use any detangler or hair oil out of the shower because I wanted to see exactly how this stuff worked for me. I carefully detangled with a flat detangling brush and let it air dry. And it looked amazing! I was shocked. My hair was so shiny and soft. It had lots of movement, and my waves had definition. I've used about half of both bottles so far, and I'm not seeing any change. My hair doesn't seem to be drying out or breaking, and I haven't noticed any unusual hair fall. I'm still on the fence, though, because it's so difficult to detangle. The "after" is great for me. It's getting there that's difficult, and I don't like spending ages on my hair. I want to wash, detangle, and let it air dry on its own.Carolee

This has got to be my favourite line from kerastase! My hair type is very thick, over processed hair with a natural wave. I find it hard to find a shampoo which nourishes my hair and that doesn’t leave it even more dry and thirsty then it already is. This shampoo- the consistency of this is amazing , thick and creamy , hair feels instantly nourished while I’m washing it. Feels like a layer of protection is on the hair (the keratin I suspect) beautiful! Honestly, since I started using this shampoo with the conditionner, my curls came back to life. I have very thick and curly hair and this shampoo along with the conditionner really helped reduce the frizz and dryness of my hair and a little really does go a long way so you can make it last! The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the price point: it's PRICEY. And I really wished that they offered bigger format for a more "economic" alternative especially for people with longer and thicker hair that obviously need to use more of the product than thinner hair.
