I cannot live without this. I am a redhead and growing up there was nothing I hated more than sunscreen. Not only was it sticky, but is smelled very distinctly like sunscreen and I was always the kid made fun of for the white streaks or cast all over my skin. I hated sunscreen. When I started researching anti-aging and skin care regimens as an adult, and everything told me to wear sunscreen everyday, I cringed. But, the thought of wrinkles made me cringe more. I tried a lot of different facial SPFs. Then I found Supergoop!. I never want to stop using this product. It does not smell like anything (including sunscreen). It is not sticky when you put the right amount on. It is completely invisible and it is so hydrating without clogging pores (adult acne struggle is real!). This entire brand has a solution for every need that a fair redhead who despises traditional sunscreen could need. I am so in love with my daily SPF, I never miss it. I was really reluctant to try this sunscreen to be honest, and mainly for the name “super goop”. To me that sounds like the sunscreen was going to be gooey and thick, and if you throw in the word “glow screen” I thought for sure I would be walking around like a disco ball. The consistency of the product itself is quite opposite of what I thought. i only apply a small amount because a little goes a long way. The consistency is thin enough to smooth onto my face and settles into the perfect finish. I’m on day two of trying this sunscreen because I’m wearing it with different products. Yesterday I tried under my full coverage makeup and no greasy face so yeah! This morning I tried it with some bronzing drops to add some color and again the consistency is gorgeous. Overall, I feel like this is a great product, especially for us oily face combination skin peeps, I’m really impressed. I also heard it goes great when mixed with tinted moisturizers so I will try that next. If I wear this sunscreen alone without makeup I may dab some powder in my t-zone for extra reassurance but I will try that next.joy.w
This is probably one of my favorite sunscreens I've ever tried! I've tried buying other sunscreens, mineral ones that "don't leave a white cast" and cheaper chemical options, and I just purchased this sunscreen for the fourth time. I also come back to this because it's a reliable choice and have had no problems. I'm Southeast Asian with a skin tone that's on the lighter side of the medium/tan range, so if I wear a 100% mineral sunscreen, my skin is light enough that it blends in but also dark enough for someone to tell that my skin tone looks off (sort of like a white cool-toned tint to my warm skin?). In other words, I just look a bit paler than usual and it looks unnatural. With this sunscreen, I don't have to think about if you can see it on my skin or if it's not blended. I usually put on more sunscreen than suggested (just to be safe), and this glides on extremely easily over my skin ( and I also didn't notice any scent/an unpleasant chemical smell). It is a bit slippery (no oils are in this, just silicones), but your skin will feel soft after rubbing it in. Speaking of which, you don't need to put in a lot of effort to apply! I had recently gotten jaw surgery and had switched to a different sunscreen (chemical, but had a white color that disappeared after rubbing in). I had incisions on the left and right side of my bottom jaw, which sunscreen would be necessary to prevent scarring, and I found that I had trouble rubbing in my sunscreen (walking into harsh lighting, I'd see white along the sides of my jaw from not blending well enough). I switched to this instead and had no problem, nor did I have to worry about having any weird coloring. The finish is a soft matte, almost similar to the Fenty Pro Filter Instant Retouch Primer. This reminded me of Cerave's ultra light spf lotion, but less drying and tacky. It went on wonderfully like a liquid lotion, and it gave off less of a white cast on my tan skin than I thought. The dewy finish wasn't over the top either and it felt moisturizing. Unfortunately as I used this product more than 3 times, my skin started to get red and itchy on the cheeks with little bumps scattered throughout my face, so I had to discontinue use of this sunscreen. Having skin cancer twice on my face, I don’t mess around with drug store facial sunblock anymore. This product has been my “go to” for years. Unlike the drugstore products, it isn’t greasy, doesn’t make my sensitive skin break out, and doesn’t stink like chemicals or fake scents. I like most EltaMD sunscreens, and this one is my favorite for my neck, chest, and body. It goes on easily, no cast on me, and feels moisturizing. But, it is so expensive that I only use it when I'm going to be outside all day and stick to the EltaMD UV Lotion sunscreen for other days. UV Lotion and UV Daily are nearly identical in inactive ingredients and have the same feel, but UV Daily has higher SPF. I wish EltaMD would package UV Daily in a larger, more economical bottle; I honestly think they should ditch the UV Lotion sunscreen and switch fully to manufacturing this one. Pros: this product doesn't sting my sensitive eyes, and it prevents sunburn. Cons: It settles into the lines of my skin and makes them white. I end up with white lines across my neck, and the visual effect is similar to old age stage makeup. It makes the lines look deeper and more severe. Also, the performance under makeup is appallingly bad. Utterly woeful. I tried it with Bareminerals Barepro pressed powder, and I also tried it with the Lisa Eldridge longwearing liquid foundation, and the makeup looked nice when I first applied it, but then it quickly degraded over the next few hours. The powder foundation cracked so badly that it ended up looking like I had flaky snake scales all over my face. I was still at work, and I took a tissue and savagely wiped away the worst bits. The longwearing foundation fared better, but it split and cracked like a desert floor. The foundation I've been using instead for everyday wear, that doesn't sting my eyes but plays well with makeup, is the Supergoop Play. I get the big jug of it and use it on my face and body, and my makeup sits on top of it beautifully. I would recommend the anthelios for a hike, or some other activity where you'll be in the sun but your appearance doesn't matter.Cydni

I’ve recently started purchasing La Roche Posay products and am super happy with my purchase’s. This is the last thing I bought. I’m totally in love with it. It applies perfectly on my face and arms and leaves no white cast. Normally I spend $38-$65 dollars just for my face sunscreen but no more. This one is top dog now. It’s mostly physical with a tad bit of chemical but I’m ok with that. I use to try so hard and use products that were 100% clean and they are so expensive but what people don’t realize is there are non clean ingredients in practically everything. Makeup, skincare, hair products, ect. At least with La Roche Posay I don’t worry about it. It’s fragrance free and doesn’t have sulfates and the majority of the other bad stuff. This brand was made for sensitive skin and mine sure does love it. I’ve been using their face and body wash for dry to extra dry skin on my face then their face and body cream on my face followed by this amazing sunscreen. Who says you have to spend a fortune on skincare for it to work? Next product of theirs I want to try is the hylaronic acid serum. I bought this in the Spring & have used it every day for months. I’m in the sun a lot and as a sunscreen it works well. I use it once a day & it’s nearing the end now, lasting much longer than I expected. At this point in the products’ life, I can see a bit of oil separation, so I need to give it a small shake before using. Fortunately, I didn’t have any issues with packaging that other reviewers mentioned. I don’t wear concealer, foundation, or any kind of make-up on my skin. I bought this because I wanted something that could even out my skin tone without using make up. In the summer months I did NOT love it. Although the glow is nice, I found it was way too shiny & made my skin look oily & sweaty. That being said, I also bought the SUPERGOOP! (Re)setting powder SPF45 & found the combination of the two worked really well together. I would use this first thing in the morning, and reapply sunscreen with the resetting powder before heading out. The powder toned down the excessive shine while still maintaining the even look of my skin. Now that we’re coming to fall however, I actually really like this sunscreen by itself! I live in a place where the climate during fall & winter is much drier (the sun is also lower in the sky, which makes a difference for shine). As a result, my skin is a lot drier & the sunscreen actually works very well and looks really good. In summary, I would recommend this for the fall/winter, but not for the summer. I loved This sunscreen, let’s start there. we went on vacation to Egypt and this was going to be my ultimate test as sweat and direct intense sun would be the test of all tests. I placed it over my vit c serum and moisturizer and applied as directed before leaving our hotels. We took it with us to reapply regularly. For the first couple days the formula kept together but then it separated into a clear liquid and what I am supposing is the golden part. I shook vigorously and it homologated together a bit. But back at the hotel under ac it came back together. This separating was a bummer because no amount of shaking (with normal strength not a machine) would not bring it back together under the heat which when we really needed it. This being said, it still did its job! Protected and nourished my skin while under that intense climate. I would like really like a water proof version for water sports as this washed away when at the beach and snorkeling but kept when sweating. As for people commenting about piling, the chemicals are reacting… what ever is being used underneath or on top is causing the split of the formula. So this was my first time purchasing this specific kind of sunscreen from Bare Republic. I normally use the regular one that isn’t clear. Not a fan of the feel of the sunscreen. It has like little beads or something in it and feels weird as your putting it on. My kids didn’t like it. It does dry clear so that is accurate. It doesn’t smell like mango to me but that isn’t a big deal. It’s the ingredients that I’m not a big fan of. It’s not as clean as I thought it was. I much prefer their regular sunscreen. I wouldn’t buy again or recommend it if you care about what’s in your sunscreen. Disclosure: I received a sample of this product from Poshly for free in exchange for a fair and honest review. I ended up using this product twice this weekend and loved it. The first thing I noticed was the scent. It has a nice scent to it and I really enjoyed that it is not an overpowering scent and that it doesn't smell like coconut since most other sunscreens do. It came out in a light mist, so I didn't have to worry about it going on too thickly and not being able to absorb. After I sprayed it on, I didn't really even notice it was there because it wasn't greasy. While wearing this product I was working in my garden and appreciated that the dirt, mud, etc. wasn't clinging to the sunscreen as I worked. After I was done outside I took a shower and had no issue with the water repelling off my skin due to the remaining sunscreen. It also didn't leave any residue on my clothing. Finally, while wearing this product in direct sunlight for two hours, I have no signs of a sunburn or redness on my skin. I recommend this product and will continue using it in the future.Dream W.
I am going to Hawaii so I went to Target to get reef safe/friendly sunscreen. I looked at all the different options and I bought 4 different kinds. This Bare sunscreen leaves no white residue/white cast, it’s Hawaii reef compliant, water resistant AND it’s 100 spf! I definitely like this one the best. I also tried the Target brand Up&Up mineral 50spf, Neutrogena Sheer Mineral 50spf, and Coppertone Pure&Simple Kids mineral 50spf. Those all had white residue probably due to the zinc/minerals. Target only had the Bare Face but not the Body, I would love to try the Bare Body Clearscreen in the future as well!April G.

This is really the best sunscreen for my sensitive and mature skin. I have mild rosacea and was diagnosed with melanoma 2 years ago so a product that protects me and my sensitive skin is priceless! No irritation, redness, or other adverse effects ever experienced using this product. It's a pure mineral sunscreen and it's high concentration of zinc oxide was highly encouraged by me dermatologist. A couple of small drops, blend in a tad of my own foundation and voila ……… my face is protected and my own foundation is blended in for the ultimate sun protection living here in Florida. No white cast, not shiny, and blends into my skin perfectly. A couple of touchups during the day with my powder foundation compact and I am good to go! For the most part, the products I receive from LaLaDaisy are great. However, once I received an already expired vitamin C serum, and another time I received some retinol that was 3 months away from expiring. This time I purchased the Active Broad Spectrum SPF 45 sunscreen, and it is set to expire in 3.5 months. The product itself is great, but just be aware that you will most likely be receiving product that is close to expiring since it seems there is a lack of some quality control at their distribution center. I bought this sunscreen a year ago and kept waking up with major redness and swelling on my face the morning after I used it. For the longest time, I thought my face had become more sensitive to the sun, that I was developing a skin allergy. However, it wasn't happening on days I used my other sunscreen brands. Yesterday I gave it another try. It was only 15 degrees Celcius outside and after reapplying the sunscreen throughout the day I went to bed with an extremely red face that was swollen all the way up to my eyes. I will keep buying this sunscreen until they stop producing it or I die, whichever comes first. I really struggled with finding sunscreen that doesn't make me too oily, give me a horrendous white cast, or make me break out, and this is it. I never get burnt wearing it, and it doesn't pill or clog my pores. It is super smooth and plays well with whatever products you use over or under it. In the summer, I usually skip moisturizer and just use this as my base layer, and I think if you're concerned about excess oiliness this is the way to go. As a disclaimer, I usually rock a somewhat dewy look (too much work to fight what nature gave me) but I don't like outright oiliness and for me this hits that sweet spot. If you like a true matte look you could probably still make this work depending on what primer/foundation you're putting over it.spillanor
I have to say that I really loved this products. I read everyone’s comments but I gave a try. I do have a few tips 1. If you have a white cast, you may be using a lot more. My suggestion is to use a nickel size amount of sunscreen. Dot your face with it (one for forehead, two for each cheek, side of nose, one dot for chin). DONT rub it, but instead pat it. 2. Give it at least 10 minutes before you add makeup. I like to give sunscreen a minute to set in so I feel more comfortable with makeup. I realized that the longer you wait, the better makeup goes well for skin 3. Don’t believe when it says Matt priming. Don’t get me wrong, it is Matte but it doesn’t blurr your pores. It just leaves a soft touch (like a tissue paper) but I do recommend to wear an extra primer just in case if you’re oily or combination 4. Give it a few days to adjust with it, you may see a white cast but after you keep rubbing, it eventually goes away The reason I’m giving it 4 stars is that it’s a small bottle size and I just wished it had more. It is a beautiful sunscreen, minimal citrus scent, no crazy white cast and not oily. That perfect medium. Texture feels like a light moisturizer. I have read a few comments about people breaking out but it could be the fact that it is a chemical sunscreen? I’ve had small cheek breakouts here and there but honestly, could be due to my hormones and not the sunscreen. The price point I think is what makes me come back to this sunscreen!! I’ve bought three tubes of this within the last few months. I keep one at home, in my purse and at work lol (I can’t be the only one.) In my opinion this is a really good spf staple for everyday, maybe not for extreme sun exposure and hope they never mess with the formula. This was my first time trying a sunscreen from this brand and I was not that impressed. I got this one and the non-tinted version of this, and both were just not that great. They don't sit well over certain moisturizers (I use cerave cream) and can pill/bunch up depending on the skincare you have underneath. The tint on this claims to be universal, but it was noticeably darker compared to my natural skintone. I'm Asian with light/fair skin (Fitzpatrick type 2), and the color difference was so obvious. I applied this to my face and neck, and it was so dark compared to my chest. I was confused because reviews with lighter skin said the tint was fine, but it might also be that people don't apply an appropriate amount for proper spf coverage. The tint on this is really suited for those who are a solid medium/tan skintone. This is also not dark-skinned friendly (I had my friend try it out), as it leaves you looking ghostly. Also, the smell is similar to that of rubber tires. I do like that it's spf 50 and lightweight, but the cons heavily outweigh the pros for me that I would not find myself ever purchasing this again.Kev
Recently with the influx of skincare and makeup videos on apps like Instagram and tik tok, I've been seeing so many things about sunscreen and sun protection. I'm only 25 but I've started to notice some fine lines and signs of sun damage since I'm quite pale and fair skinned, which is all the more reason for me to use this. I've tried other sunscreens for the face but most of them leave a white cast or make my skin feel even more oily than it already is, or even pill up on dry areas. That was until I went searching for the best face sunscreen and found this. At first I was hesitant because of the price, and thought about it for a few months. I mean $37 for sunscreen is definitely a lot, but to those wondering if it's worth it: it definitely is. This sunscreen is absolutely amazing, it's light, fluid, makes me feel like I'm wearing nothing at all, and best of all leaves NO WHITE CAST!!! I love knowing that I'm protected and the spf 50 is great for someone like me with super pale skin. The only issue I have with it is that it does leave my face looking a little oily but usually I'll just put a bit of powder on and it looks normal. I would definitely be interested in trying something that has a more matte finish, if available. Also I will say if you use the recommended amount of sunscreen daily you will go through this bottle pretty quick. It lasted about 3-4 weeks for me, so it could be worth investing in a backup sunscreen that's cheaper, but overall I love this sunscreen it's the best one I've tried yet!!Cccmp
I'm so glad I decided to try this particular sunscreen from La Roche-Posay {already being happy with, -and using their SPF50 for children for both me and my son} wanting something that felt a bit lighter for the face and neck especially. I have very sensitive, reactive skin prone to redness {not diagnosed but ticks every box for Rosacea} and not only does this sunscreen not cause any irritations whatsoever, but my skin seem calmer and happier since I've started using this nearly daily and I've had no flare ups and putting it on. There's not even a hint of redness {that can even be brought on by my kind moisturiser that is great for me otherwise}. Anyone with finicky skin knows that this in itself is so nice to find, – but not only have I had these results every time for weeks now, but it also seem to make my make up look and last b e t t e r, which I find hard to expect from a sunscreen. So much so that I've stopped using a primer before make up application {and rather just use this sunscreen and then a cc cream and some translucent mineral veil, and I have had more compliments on my skin than ever}. The consistency is quite runny and light, but I find that to be a great feature for a sunscreen for the face as it melts in with no white cast whatsoever. It stays a bit tacky to the touch {and skin looks healthy 'glowy' on me}, which I now only appreciate as that might be what then has make up sit well on top too. Pros: this product doesn't sting my sensitive eyes, and it prevents sunburn. Cons: It settles into the lines of my skin and makes them white. I end up with white lines across my neck, and the visual effect is similar to old age stage makeup. It makes the lines look deeper and more severe. Also, the performance under makeup is appallingly bad. Utterly woeful. I tried it with Bareminerals Barepro pressed powder, and I also tried it with the Lisa Eldridge longwearing liquid foundation, and the makeup looked nice when I first applied it, but then it quickly degraded over the next few hours. The powder foundation cracked so badly that it ended up looking like I had flaky snake scales all over my face. I was still at work, and I took a tissue and savagely wiped away the worst bits. The longwearing foundation fared better, but it split and cracked like a desert floor. The foundation I've been using instead for everyday wear, that doesn't sting my eyes but plays well with makeup, is the Supergoop Play. I get the big jug of it and use it on my face and body, and my makeup sits on top of it beautifully. I would recommend the anthelios for a hike, or some other activity where you'll be in the sun but your appearance doesn't matter.Cydni

I’ve recently started purchasing La Roche Posay products and am super happy with my purchase’s. This is the last thing I bought. I’m totally in love with it. It applies perfectly on my face and arms and leaves no white cast. Normally I spend $38-$65 dollars just for my face sunscreen but no more. This one is top dog now. It’s mostly physical with a tad bit of chemical but I’m ok with that. I use to try so hard and use products that were 100% clean and they are so expensive but what people don’t realize is there are non clean ingredients in practically everything. Makeup, skincare, hair products, ect. At least with La Roche Posay I don’t worry about it. It’s fragrance free and doesn’t have sulfates and the majority of the other bad stuff. This brand was made for sensitive skin and mine sure does love it. I’ve been using their face and body wash for dry to extra dry skin on my face then their face and body cream on my face followed by this amazing sunscreen. Who says you have to spend a fortune on skincare for it to work? Next product of theirs I want to try is the hylaronic acid serum. It’s a combination of big and small molecules to reach the surface of the skin and I believe 15 layers deep. Sounds amazing! I see a lot of negative reviews of this product, but I honestly I think it’s pretty amazing. I was taking a chance buying this, because my skin hasn’t agreed with other glow recipe products in the past (guessing because of the amount of fragrance in their other products), however I couldn’t resist trying a new sunscreen! I have been using it in the morning without any moisturizer at the moment, and haven’t seen any issue with dry skin. For reference I am combo (oily t zone, dry cheeks), can be acne prone, and have seen sensitivity with fragrant products or products that contain essential oils. This product does have a light watermelon scent, but it dissipates within 20 min or so. It’s working well with my Lys foundation currently, but idk what it would be like with a powder or matte foundation.. it might pill as other reviews have suggested. I have been using this product for a few weeks now and have not noticed any sensitivity or increase in acne. And I have tried other chemical sunscreens that have caused my acne to flare up, so this is certainly one of a kind! Throughout my skincare journey, I've placed a strong emphasis on purchasing clean, high-quality products, even if it costs a bit more than, say, something I'd buy at the grocery store or drug store. However, SPF has been, for reasons I can't really explain, one of those skincare products that I just haven't held to that same standard. I've always been more content to just buy a "cheaper" natural brand. Up until this product, I'd been using the Alba Botanica SPF 50 sport sunscreen. It was fine and did what it needed to. But since discovering Glow Recipe, I decided to make the splurge and try out their SPF. Let me just say, I'm SO glad that I did. One of the most notable differences between this SPF and other brands that I've used is the texture. Whereas my last sunscreen always felt so thick and like I had to really work at blending it in, the watermelon glow niacinamide sunscreen just effortless glides on. It's so silky smooth. I also love that it has just a hint of natural watermelon fragrance. Plus, it feels so nourishing, and it really does wonders to help with the texture of my skin and alleviate any redness I may have. Chemical sunscreen that is ensconced in great ingredients. WHY? Ingredients that accumulate in fish and breast milk. No one should be using any chemical sunscreen. Children are advised not to use at least one of the active ingredients because studies have shown that it aggravates rosacea and eczema. Japan limits not just one but two of the ingredients in this product. Bottom line is any sunscreen that is “light” and adsorbs easily, is chemical based – it soaks into your skin. If it accumulates in fish that swim below water treatment plants, what makes you think it doesn’t accumulate in you when you directly slather it on your skin? The government approvals of these ingredients is based on the thought that more people will die of skin cancer then will die of chemical toxicity, but how do we know that all the cancers we have aren’t a result of all the chemicals we are exposed to daily? And all of the reactive copy in the ad suggested GR knows this is an issue and is trying to head off complaints and questions in advance. I have no doubt that this is a wonderful sunscreen. The other ingredients are great. But if you care about your health you’ll stop using chemical sunscreens. You’ll just suck it up and use the mineral only ones that take about 20 minutes for your skin to warm them to the point of making the white cast disappear.Less C. P.

Hi everyone. My skin type is mildly oily-combo (oily in certain areas & dry-to-normal in others such as cheeks and oilier in my t-zone area), sensitive skin. I was looking for a buildable, sheer coverage, non-greasy, non-pilling, not super casty mineral sunscreen with either purely zinc and/or titanium dioxide. Also of course I am open to combination sunscreens, so long as their gentle enough, as I’ll be having a cool peel co2 laser and prp micro needling bio-facial treatments done on my neck soon on the 13th of April. Anyways, was basically looking for a quality mineral sunscreen which looked cosmetically elegant on the skin. I had seen a lot of positive reviews of this particular sunscreen on target and online , but for me, although it felt very light and not super heavy, upon closer inspection, I noticed that it had a tendency to collect in areas of my face with hair, such as my facial hair stubble, eyebrows and even my hairline a little bit unfortunately, resulting in slight purplish colored patches on my skin due to the cast this sunscreen was leaving across my face and all. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this sunscreen, because unless you have zero stubble like me, than sunscreen will leave a weird cast, when using 2 finger lengths of sunscreen. Pros of it are that it goes on smoothly and doesn’t feel greasy nor pill using the full amount. Just don’t like how it collects where there is hairJeff
I’ve been wanting to try this mineral sunscreen for a while now so this tiny bottle was the perfect sample size! I got about 3 uses out of it. To start, I have a medium skin tone (I’m of south Asian descent) so finding a mineral sunscreen without a white cast is very difficult. This sunscreen glided onto my skin so nicely and left no chalky feeling, unlike most mineral sunscreens. It does take a while to blend in and did ultimately leave a minimal white cast (though it did go away on its own after a little while). I don’t know that I would recommend this sunscreen for skin tones darker than a medium/tan. I am also very acne prone and I don’t normally like having to rub in a sunscreen so much, since it irritates my skin. However, the consistency is like a lotion so the application didn’t bother my skin at all. My only small complaint is that it is a bit drying, and I do have dry skin. For those on the drier side, I recommend applying an oil to your face before applying the sunscreen. That helped keep my skin moisturized under the sunscreen! Overall, I thought this was a great product and I’m looking forward to purchasing the larger size soon!skumar

I would rate this 1 million stars if I could. I'm an esthetician and use a ton of products. But this has remained my number one favorite. I use this as my everyday foundation. It is insane how much more confident I feel the second I put on this product. It makes my skin so glowy and hydrated, and evens out any redness on my face. I have converted clients of all fitzpatricks to this. I would suggest possibly putting out a paler tint and a darker tint, because the tint can pull orange on fitz 1/2. I want to love the **** out of this stuff I really do. I think what’s mainly throwing me off is this is a sunscreen and not a foundation. Which I 100% knew that when I bought it, but it’s obviously something to get use to if you mainly use foundation. I do have rosacea and by no means does it cover it up or any other blemishes I have, but it does give a nice tint. It gives your face a little bit of coverage all while looking extremely natural! Which I love! First time applying this I used a makeup brush and I didn’t like the finish. Second time was my finger tips and that looked a lot better. It’s extremely blendable when blended in with your fingers. I love that this is a sunscreen so I’m not so worried about “messing” my face up. Overall it’s a good product. I’m just still in the process of learning to love the way it looks. I love that it’s natural though overall. I’m 27 and love a lighter look now that I’m a mom/married. Alastin’s tinted sunscreen is the BEST. As you can see in the picture it looks darker than my actual skin tone, but it blends perfectly. A little bit goes a long way and I do not have to reapply throughout the day. I started using this product around 6 years ago and will faithfully continue to be dedicated purchaser of Alastin products. They have many products I use, but the tinted sun screen is my favorite (next is a toss up between their cleanser and restorative skin complex). I use it everyday and only purchase it 2x a year. Another bonus is if you are in a hurry and don’t have time to put on makeup, this covers just enough. The price has recently increased to $60, but you get more product than before.lauren.p

I originally tried this out after having a reaction to the cult favorite UV Clear–I think my skin disagrees with the niacinimide in that formulation. Anyway, I was happy with the quality of EltaMD, but looking for something more moisturizing for my combination/dry skin and I found it in UV Facial. This is an incredibly moisturizing and rich formula that does not leave a white cast on my pale skin. It will leave an ever so slight shine on your face, which translates to a glow on my skin, so if you are oily or prefer a completely matte look then this product probably isn't for you. I find it wears lovely under my foundation–something that can be a challenge with sunscreens. I love this formula so much but had to knock a star off because of the use of chemical filters. If this sunscreen was purely physical it would be a 5/5 holy grail formulation. I keep testing out all-mineral sunscreens and always come back to this one. If you are on the drier side and don't mind a chemical sunscreen, try this out!roshni.p
I use this as my daily sunscreen! Honestly I haven’t had a lot of luck with many sunscreens because of white-cast, oiliness, etc, but this one has been the best formula of the ones I’ve tried in the past. It’s a lightweight formula but you can definitely feel it on your face for the first 20 minutes after applying. It definitely protects your skin and it feels like a clean product, and not too heavy. It has a slight white-cast that goes away after a minute of rubbing in. My only downsides are that it leaves an oily/glossy finish (which I personally dislike) and that it pills with other products. The gloss isn’t terrible, you can certainly cover it up with some powder, but not too bad alone. It definitely can pill so I have opted out from using it with makeup or serums. I keep my morning skincare routine very minimal (just wash and moisturize) so that this sunscreen will not pill. I’ve had it pill before with the cerave vitamin c serum. But it definitely works overall so 4 stars 🙂alexis.f
I have literally tried over 20 sunscreens. Finding one that checks all the boxes ingredient wise and that had a nice finish is nearly impossible. Actually, this is the only sunscreen that has met all my criteria. It also makes my skin look and feel amazing. I have acne prone skin, I’m combo oily, I don’t like feeling anything on my face, and I enjoy makeup. I’m also on a retinoid. I have been using this sunscreen for over a year, and continue to come back to it when I go exploring to see if there’s something better. So far, there isn’t! The finish is natural. It’s not too shiny and not too matte. It literally just makes my skin look healthy and moisturized but not oily at all. There is absolutely no white cast. It does not pill under any makeup I’ve tried. It layers up beautifully. I’ve reapplied 3 times in a day and it manages to stay silky and not cakey on my skin. It does have a very mild, pleasant scent- which is great because I hate fragrances in products or ones that smell naturally of battery acid. It does not sting around my eyes AT ALL. It also has the added benefits of improving my skin texture and look of my complexion. Though it doesn’t add coverage, per say, I can go without my powder foundation when wearing this. Even my husband who hates wearing anything on his face and has a medium deep complexion loves this sunscreen. It’s the only one he will wear! I will continue to repurchase 🙂FairlySkinAddicited

So i got this specifically for my daughters faces. we def need the 100spf over here because my kids burn so easy. Down here in Texas this summer has been especially hot so wanted to make sure they were covered to the best that I could. I was very surprised at how tough it was when we were at the beach and just playing out in the yard. one occasion i didn't get all on one of my kids noses and i could definitely tell the difference! I actually used it on my shoulders as well and I could see streaks of where I didn't use it because I burned in those places. I highly recommend! Also, no strong smell either.Andrew
This is terrible. Extremely sticky. Leaves a white residue that cakes on you. Gets all over your suit as well. The sticky residue does not come off in the shower. Instead it leaves a chalky white mess on your skin even after showering and towel drying. Worst sunscreen I’ve ever purchased. Threw it in trash after the first day of using. Do not buy.Amy
I am no stranger to applying (and re-applying) sunscreen with my fair skin. How did this formula pass quality assurance? Right away, you'll notice this stuff sprays on thick. It is almost like spray paint. Once on your skin, it's VERY difficult to rub around. In fact, it doesn't entirely rub in (you'll be glowing a shade of white while wearing this). Because of this, you'd assume it would be superior to sunscreens that wash off easily with sweat and water. After a 2 hour hike in the sun, with little sweating at all, I returned home a shade of pink. I was dumbfounded. I'm pretty white and know how to apply sunscreen like a pro. I had put it on every area of my body, and still got burned. Now, I'm recovering from the burn, as well as the ensuing rash that I broke out in as a result of this product. I've never had that happen before with a sunscreen. Not to mention, it's been 5 days and I'm still trying to get this stuff out of my skin. I've used coarse, exfoliating scrubs, and it's still lingering in my wrinkles and pores. And I can still smell it on me. 5 days later! Yikes! Nasty stuff. Good for all ages, adults and kids. Smells like the classic Coppertone Suntan Lotion, and I like it! Quite thick and creamy but not too greasy, you must spread really well so you would not look like a mummy, haha . Quite difficult to spread because of its thickness. Must be re applied if staying under the sun after a long time, maybe every after 2 hours of sun exposure. Size is quite huge, good for the use of the whole family, you can use it for quite a long time because of it's size. I only use this when we go to the beach or exercise under the sun. I use another brand and formulation for my everyday use as I prefer lighter formulations if I do not do sports. It really stays on even when I sweat a lot. As they say, it is better to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun by using at least an SPF50, prevention is the key. Value for money really.iHerb Customer
I’ve used this product for years on my family and I don’t know if they changed the formula but after a day at the beach my whole family is burnt. Yes we re applied. I’m 43 years old and know to re apply. Our skin looks like we used nothing. We are not a light complected family that burns easily but I have always believed in using sunblock because protecting your skin is important. I’ve never looked up recalls before but I just had to because I just don’t know what was different this time. I also made sure the store didn’t sell me an expired product. We purchased two cans of Banana Boat Sport Ultra SPF 100 for a family reunion at a water park. 11 of us used this sunscreen- putting it on before we entered the park, and two hour later at lunch, some stayed longer and applied it a third time. ALL 11 of us got burned as if we had on 0 sunblock! I could understand if one person got burned, but all 11- using 2 different cans!!! Expiration date printed is11/2024. The texture of the product is really light and it absorbs really fast. The thing is that when I aply it, it stings my skin and it ferls like a scrub. My face burns a little. This is the second Spf product (the other one is from another brand) that does this to my face. Probably my skin is too sensitive, I don’t know. This is the reason that I gave 3 stars and I said that maybe this product is not for me. This sunscreen is my favorite tinted sunscreen I've used and I love the SPF is >50. I always look for one that is oil and fragrance free. This formula is very light and liquid/runny. It's easy to apply and doesn't sting or burn even around the eyes. I've only used it about 3 times and so far so good. The tint is not orange in the slightest and a great match to my neutral light-medium skin. I do have some acne that flares around my jawline and cheekbones from time to time and this does a decent job of covering the redness/evening out time, but definitely is not meant for actually covering blemishes and darker spots like a foundation. My only complaint is that while there is no fragrance, when the sun hit my skin the first time I wore it I noticed an odd chemical smell as if it releases when it interacted with the Light. Since I was driving my kids with the AC blowing they even noticed the smell. That only happened once so far but I thought it was worth mentioning. It does hold up well to sweat and oil. Reapplication on my oily skin has consisted of me using oil blotting sheets and then reapplying, but it does seem to pile that way. I will probably not blot next time I try to reapply.LAR
First, the good: it's lightweight and feels good. Goes on a little greasy feeling but settles into the skin nicely and feels moisturizing. Now, the bad: I have very sensitive eyes and have to be very careful with sunscreen on my face. I ordered this in hopes it would be gentle. Nope! So this was my first time purchasing this specific kind of sunscreen from Bare Republic. I normally use the regular one that isn’t clear. Not a fan of the feel of the sunscreen. It has like little beads or something in it and feels weird as your putting it on. My kids didn’t like it. It does dry clear so that is accurate. It doesn’t smell like mango to me but that isn’t a big deal. It’s the ingredients that I’m not a big fan of. It’s not as clean as I thought it was. I much prefer their regular sunscreen. I wouldn’t buy again or recommend it if you care about what’s in your sunscreen. Disclosure: I received a sample of this product from Poshly for free in exchange for a fair and honest review. I ended up using this product twice this weekend and loved it. The first thing I noticed was the scent. It has a nice scent to it and I really enjoyed that it is not an overpowering scent and that it doesn't smell like coconut since most other sunscreens do. It came out in a light mist, so I didn't have to worry about it going on too thickly and not being able to absorb. After I sprayed it on, I didn't really even notice it was there because it wasn't greasy. While wearing this product I was working in my garden and appreciated that the dirt, mud, etc. wasn't clinging to the sunscreen as I worked. After I was done outside I took a shower and had no issue with the water repelling off my skin due to the remaining sunscreen. It also didn't leave any residue on my clothing. Finally, while wearing this product in direct sunlight for two hours, I have no signs of a sunburn or redness on my skin. I recommend this product and will continue using it in the future.Dream W.
I am going to Hawaii so I went to Target to get reef safe/friendly sunscreen. I looked at all the different options and I bought 4 different kinds. This Bare sunscreen leaves no white residue/white cast, it’s Hawaii reef compliant, water resistant AND it’s 100 spf! I definitely like this one the best. I also tried the Target brand Up&Up mineral 50spf, Neutrogena Sheer Mineral 50spf, and Coppertone Pure&Simple Kids mineral 50spf. Those all had white residue probably due to the zinc/minerals. Target only had the Bare Face but not the Body, I would love to try the Bare Body Clearscreen in the future as well!April G.

I received the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Moisturizing Face Serum Sunscreen complimentary from Home Tester Club in exchange for my honest opinion. The first thing I noticed was the simple yet quality packaging. The dispenser has no top but it doesn't need one. Just twist to open and twist to close. Great for travel, yes? I bought this product hoping to find a US alternative to a JP product, but this did not make the cut. First, I avoid dimethicone in all skincare as I have oily skin and it seems to make it worse. My own mistake, I didn't realize this contains dimethicone. Second, and the biggest problem, I had a severe reaction to this product. A few hours after applying (tried it two separate times) my eyes became watering and swollen. This lasted for nearly 12 hours, even after washing my face. My partner also had the same problem. Neither of us were really outside sweating or swimming. I would say I have fairly sensitive, fair-ish skin, but I also am used to a sunscreen that contains alcohol and have little no allergies otherwise.Miko

I wear this sunscreen everyday. I got a sample of this and I went and purchased the full size. It replaced my previous HG sunscreen! I can't wear chemical sunscreens, because they irritate the area around my eyes (I can where chemical sunscreen on my body though). Finding physical sunscreens that don't make me look gray and wear well under makeup is a challenge. First off this is silicone-based. So if you don't like silicones, don't get it. What I like about this sunscreen, is unlike some other silicone-based sunscreens, this doesn't slide around my face. It stays put. I don't feel it on my skin. The tint is good for light-medium to dark skin tones. (I have a light-medium skin tone). If you have a fair skin tone, I would check out the other version for lighter skin tones. When it comes out of the bottle, it looks like it won't be a good product. However, it applies smoothly and the tint fades into your skin tone after a few seconds. I did a half face test. No gray cast! This is not a moisturizer; so, you will have to use a separate moisturizer underneath. I don't mind this because I save $ because I don't have to buy a separate makeup primer for the day. This primes (blurs pores) and mattifies my skin. I love it for my oily skin. It isn't drying, but I would check out another review from someone who has dry skin since it has a matte finish. What I really love about this product is that this is the exact same formula as TiZO3 sunscreen. Except TiZO3 sunscreen is way more expensive. I tested out both on my face (half and half) for a week, and I couldn't tell the difference. I wish it came in an option where you can get double the size. I love this! For many years I used the tinted version and it worked really well for me as I was a loyal self tanner…but now that I’m trying to embrace my natural very fair skin tone the tinted version of this was just a hair too dark. The formula of this is exactly like my beloved tinted version, just without the color which is perfect and exactly what I was looking for. This sits beautifully underneath makeup and wears so well for me all day. I’m extremely cautious of exposing my skin to the sun (I’m trying to be very proactive with anti-aging!) so a good spf is a must and this is one of the best and most cosmetically elegant that I’ve found! However, in the past year, I've been revamping my skincare routine based on "fungal safe" products and the Cotz spf always seems to figure prominently on that list. I decided to take a chance and I'm so glad that I did. I use the untinted for my neck and the tinted on my face. The texture is very different. Someone described it as a bit like peanut butter. But no worries, it applies like a dream and dries completely matte. Thumbs up from me!

This is a beautiful sunscreen – it appears white initially, but blends into the skin very rapidly and leaves no white cast behind. It leaves a dewy and flattering finish on dry skin and the smell is exactly that of the sunscreen you grew up with (but it feels nicer lol. What causes that smell anyway!? It’s so specific and yet ubiquitous) All this said, I’ve got to point something out. The product says it’s 1.7 fl oz. But WHEW that feels like a tiny tube! I don’t believe Supergoop is lying though; in fact, I think this is probably quite honest packaging. But here’s something important to keep in mind: will the tiny packaging lead you to use less of the product? It’s important to always apply sunscreen in the proper amount. Even as a product tester, I felt my brain go “whoa careful! Don’t use up all of it in one go!!” So be aware that if your brain works like mine – you’ll need to fight it for adequate sun protection! I regularly use unseen sunscreen. I absolutely love the texture, invisibility, and even the smell. But I wish it had a higher SPF, and find it can irritate my eyes if I apply it too close (when around my eyes, and on my eyelids, would be somewhere I really want sun and aging protection). So I was excited to try this one! "Every. Single. Face." watery lotion does go on completely clear, and has a near-liquid consistency. I like that it has a higher SPF and has at least some amount of water resistance. But there were two surprising drawbacks I'm not going to be able to ignore – the smell and the initial feeling. It smells like old fashioned sunscreen – for body sunscreen in a beach-y setting that's not a problem, even a little nostalgic…but for every single morning on my face it's not pleasant, and more surprisingly it's not fading over time on my hands or face. When it goes on, it feels a bit shiny/greasy which I didn't love, although it does settle down a bit over time. For a sport or body sunscreen I'd notice much less but right on my face, and every single day, this kind of stuff can make me not apply as often as I should. I'm pretty sensitive to things like this, so it may not be a problem for you in which case, congratulations on finding a great everyday option! But sad to say I'll stick with unseen sunscreen for now and keep looking at Korean options that have a higher SPF and won't irritate my eyes…M
When this was released I was so excited ordered it immediately! I'm super pale and really need all the SPF I can get — was SO excited Supergoop was coming out with a new watery texture. I've used a lot of 'watery essence' Japanese sunscreens in the past and loved them, but last summer I loved the glow screen and wanted to try Supergoop's take on this. I've been using this for about a week and agree with the other reviewer that it smells like the bottled sunscreens of childhood, but also with a somewhat alcohol-y undernote. I would try to ignore it if I liked the way this laid — but it felt a little too greasy after a few hours (my skin type is very dry/sensitive/combination), and really didn't have the "watery" texture was thinking it would have. It is definitely thinner than glow screen, but there are a lot thinner sunscreens out there as well. I'd describe the texture as lightly-goopy but not runny/gelly. The straw on the camel's back is that I notice my face seems to be a little redder when I use it. This was a miss for me, sadly!MO
