20 Best Sunny Bike For Peloton (Feb 2023 Update)

Everyone was so right about this bike! I am so impressed with how nice this bike is. The material that was used is heavy duty! It took about 30 minutes to put it all together and for me to experience my first ride! This bike is so smooth and so quite! It's extremely sturdy. I never feel any sort of wobbling, even when standing. I don't have a negative thing to say about this bike. If your on the fence as to which one to get, I highly recommend trying this one.C.T.

I decided to purchase this bike after an exhaustive searching and researching spin bikes. After a hiatus from fitness, I remember very well what a quality bike should look like. The 1805 met every checkbox I had and the price was great. It's sturdy, has all the functionality I wanted, and combined with an HR monitor, cadence monitor, and Peloton App I can get an exceptional cardio workout right from my own home! Another bike I considered where the L1 Spinner. I wanted durable, low maintenance, and a no-frills experience. Something reminiscent of the various gym spin bikes of the past. This bike has met and exceeded all my expectations. A great investment in myself and with COVID, turned me onto a home gym option which I never had considered in the past.Kristina

I just assembled and used my bike so this is an initial assessment. 1. Delivery was fast! 2. Packaging was exceptional. 3. Assembly instructions were very clear. There are very few steps so the process is easy. All parts went together easily (I.e. no misaligned holes, etc). 4. The seat was surprisingly comfortable. 5. I got a great workout with only three turns of the resistance knob. (Each turn moves the knob halfway around. The knob can be turned 16 times, so 8 full rotations.) 6. The handlebar isn’t padded. Some may like this but I had to use a towel. I might add padding. 7. Build-quality seems very high. As the title says, I definitely would recommend this bike.BK

Haven't got around to using it yet. Still have to put the pedals on…_x000D_ It is extremely heavy to move around or reposition in your house. It's been over a month that i own this bike. I love doing indoor cycling and i never imagined i would own one. I loved the price and decided to purchased one specially with this pandemic that we can't risk on going out and plus having 3 kids at home. I love riding my bike but suddenly the on one of the sides of the felt pad is folding when I'm riding the bike and it makes is so hard to ride even if it has low resistance added. Great bike! Easy resistance controls, works well, has a water bottle holder which is practical. Seat gets uncomfortable after some time on it so I cushion it with a blanket. It's very loud with higher resistance. But still definitely worth it. It's also kind of hard to set your tablet down anywhere if you want to watch a movie while cycling, and it doesn't tell you any distances or calories burned, but I still definitely recommend it.Karina K.

Purchased the bike on 1/18/21 so just had t for 1 month and today (2/24/21), while using it, the belt from the crank to the flywheel popped off the crank. I had to take ~10 screws to remove the belt cover and realign. I notice the crank pull is a bad design and done not allow the belt to self align or force the belt in the grooves. All this could of been prevented only if the designers would of added a higher wall on the pulley to keep the belt in place. Other than this, the bike was great.trung

An okay machine for the price, but the company really should move manufacture to India for better quality if it's going to stay offshore. Assembly hardware is so-so. The digital display needs a backlight, hard to make anything out. The provided tools are cumbersome to work with, ended up using my own. Comes with cheap Chinese batteries for the display, toss them and put in some high quality AAAs. Seat is hard on my wife and daughter's, um, area. An ordinary bike, nothing special.Richard D.

Amazing experience with this purchase and Sunny Health Fitness. We knew our options for exercising would be limited as COVID-19 began to spread. We are both disabled and being able to exercise is vital to both our mental and physical health. We have a small living space and did not think we could squeeze a treadmill into it; and the cost was quite prohibitive. We decided to search for a stationary bike instead and found this online with Sunny – so we decided to go for it. I was concerned that it might take weeks, maybe even months, before our purchase would arrive. We understood that might happen with the nationwide shutdowns due to the virus. We were completely blown away by the excellent communication from Sunny's skeleton crew. The bike was delivered safely in a very short period of time (thx to the delivery co. as well). It was easy to put together, no missing parts, all drilled holes lined up. I had been dubious about the pink color. While I do like pink – I am sharing this with a male and it is now in our living room – I thought it might look cheesy, too girly / childish or gaudy in our space. It is actually very cute and attractive! We love it! It is not cheap (I expected it might be due to the great price). It is very well made. Works great. We are using it every day. I love to sit on it and watch the news. The seat is quite good. The tension is easy to adjust. I was surprised by what a great workout this can help one achieve. It is not completely silent, but the noise is not loud or annoying at all. We are very, very pleased with our purchase and want to thank the Sunny employees who worked so hard at communicating and getting our purchase to us safely and quickly in such extraordinary times. Unpacking: took a bit of time as this was packed to guarantee no damage during shipping. Was able to do by myself but an extra pair of hands would have been helpful. Directions and assembly: Best written directions i think i've ever had. Easier then I expected to assemble. Took 1:20 min. but can easily be done faster. Performance: Quiet,smooth and comfortable. At one point I applied a little lubricant (WD40) to the brake pad. Took a few tries to adjust the seat for comfortable ride. I chose this model because of the measurements,seat to pedal etc: This being my first experience on a spin bike the seat took a little time to get used to ,but after about a month of riding 40 min. most days its getting easier. The episode length of the series im watching. .. The bike is easy to move and does not take much room on the floor. I've had gym memberships for 60+ years and can say that this Sunny Bike is a well made and thought out piece of equipment. The resistance changes with a touch ,mounting and dismount is easy ,the water bottle holder is placed perfectly. The exercise computer gives just enough info for me. While it is easy to read in daylight i do wish it had a light as im in a corner of the room with less light available. Great bike, I'm really enjoying it. Quiet. Comfortable seat! Not the clearest of instructions – I love putting stuff together but if you're not spatially inclined, you might want a buddy. Between unpacking and putting it together, it took about an hour and a half, But all in all it was pretty easy to assemble. Love the bike on how solid and how quiet it is. I live in a 2nd floor apartment and amazed how quiet it is. I've been on it almost every day, morning, noon and/or night. I was looking for a spin bike to use with the peloton app. I've taken spin class for 6 years and love to spin…but with covid restrictions I was looking for a bike to use at home. This bike fits all of my needs. I use the cadence To match the peloton class and then do the highest resistance I can to maintain the suggested cadence. So, if you are familiar with spin classes this bike is amazing. Very solid, smooth, and the quality is high end. My kids even love to take peloton spin classes on my bike now (pre-teen and teenager). My in-laws have a peloton bike and I wasn't overly impressed with it. So for the price difference $2,400 (peloton) vs $ 955 (sunny pro evolution 2) Highly recommend!Annie

I have been riding the bike for about 3 months now and feel ready to review._x000D_ I would give the bike itself 5 stars without question. Its solid, stable, absolutely quiet, the handlebar thing is well thought out and great for holding an ipad or phone or even an open laptop. (I strap mine down just to be sure it doesn't fall but I am not sure it needs it.) Plenty of ways to adjust your hands to feel more comfortable on longer rides. The geometry of the bike is good for me – 6 foot male, 175 lbs – with plenty of ajustability for the rest of the family. The resistance adjustment is good. And did I mention how quiet it is – I mean, you cannot hear a thing. We live in a NYC apartment and there is no worry about bothering the neighbors._x000D_ The electronics are a different story. I had a better cyclo-computer on my road bike in the '90s. I use it for time and cadence now, although I don't really trust the cadence at all. I just use it to tell me if I am inadvertently slowing up. The average cadence it gives it at the end of the ride is not average but median. Also, it is suppose it track your heart rate when your hands are on the sensors, but its way off from my fitbit, which I trust much more. Also, I am not sure what the calorie sensor is doing – without knowing anything about me it says I'm burning about 4x more calories than my fitbit says. Again, a waste. If you could get this bike without the computer, and save some money, do it. I'm giving the computer 1 star. _x000D_ Customer Service – 1 star. I know there was a pandemic when I ordered the bike, but there was 6 weeks between ordering and shipping and there was no way to contact anyone at Sunny. No email that they responded to. No phone. Is no one there? OK, then the bike came and it arrived without a manual to put it together, or all the necessary hardware! I was quite excited to get riding so a trip to the hardware store got things going. But come on. When I emailed them about this they were apologetic and asked me to use the manual to figure out what was missing. I mean down to the washers, nuts, bolts, etc. I did, and about 6 weeks later they arrived. _x000D_ The bike itself is a really good alternative to Peloton. Its totally meets and exceeds my expectations. But the electronics need an upgrade and the customer service needs improvement.Tom

I have been using this bike now for a little over a week and love it so far! It was very well packaged and very easy to put together. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could in lieu of the 5 that I did because of two items. One, I feel like the handle bars are slightly crooked. It does not affect my workouts, it is just something I notice…I am an engineer and I notice when things aren't parallel or perpendicular and it kind of bugs me. I may try to adjust it if I can, but it is not that big of a deal. Second, I wish the little computer had a light. I like to ride in pretty much darkness (except for the light of the tv in front of me) and it is hard to see the cadence number and I cannot see it at all when I am standing up as it is too far back. I have been doing indoor cycling for years and years and this is just as nice a bike if not better than the ones I would use at the gym. It is so smooth and quiet! I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a cheaper alternative to the bike/computer/monthly service options (Peloton, MYX, Pro-Form/iFit, etc.). I had narrowed my choice down to this and a Schwinn and am very happy with my choice. FYI, Apple Fitness Plus just came out and I have been using it and the Peloton App for free right now. Both are awesome, but I may end up using the Apple app as it is cheaper when getting the yearly subscription and has great interface with my apple watch. It is crazy to buy the bikes with the monthly subscription as it is so expensive when you add up the real cost of everything.Brian M.

This is one of the best and most useful pieces of health equipment. The bike works much better than magnetic resistance as it can hold over 300 lbs on a standing hill climb. I would recommend this bike to anyone whom is trying to purchase a really expensive bike or another brand with other features. You do not need the automatic and computer features. Get yourself a smart wearable that links to an app on your phone to track everything and save yourself some money. I have lost 35 lbs to date with this great bike! I really enjoy riding this exercise bike daily. It’s very smooth and incredibly quiet so I don’t have to turn up the TV more then normal volume while riding. The seat and handle bars are adjustable which are also nice. It’s a great size to have behind our couch but not be obtrusive visually in any way. When we move it the wheels on the front are great & have don’t affect the bikes stability in any way. This bike is heavy but well-constructed. Since I've only had the bike for a couple weeks, I'm still getting used to it. The seat is uncomfortable, so I will see about getting a replacement that is a little wider. Also, I've found that my hands fall asleep, so I will try adjusting the height of the handlebars to see if that helps. Works great and is built better than the other exercise bikes I have had. Air from wheel blows forward and not on you, which I like. Air sound is the only noise. My favorite style regular bike seat that is padded fit right on and is full adjustable on this bike. I would have no idea why anyone would not like this bike. I ordered this bike to add a non-impact component to our family garage gym routine we've been going hard at for 3 months. I've used a few different versions of these bikes at various gyms including the classic Airdyne. _x000D_ Building the bike out of the box took less than 45 minutes. Instructions were simple. I have been doing spinning for 15 years and have wanted an indoor bike for the longest time. I finally committed to the purchase after reading tons of reviews on different belt driven bikes. The package arrived in 8 days without any damage and took about 30 minutes to assemble with help from my 14 year old son. Due to a medical problem for past year I am out of shape and have gained weight. Typically very active and wanted to be ready for spring/summer. (Living in New England outside activities are limited and not a skier). This bike is so quiet I can work out and my husband does not even hear me. Have began watching various videos so I can "see" that am going some place. It is easy to pedal and comfortable (took several tries to get the seat in the right position, but with all the adjustability was able to). Having different resistance levels has been great as have gotten stronger, can easily increase resistance. (Started of medium resistance and could only handle 3 minutes! Built from there). I started spinning at my prior gym years ago. After cancelling my membership, finding ways to workout at home has been key. I had a station bike that broke down. The amount of options for a bike is overwhelming! After reviewing my options, doing a budget, I saw this bike has a bluetooth connection and theirs an app to workout with. Putting the bike together myself was easy. Working out with it has been amazing! However the bluetooth connection drops couple of minutes into the workout, and then i have to start to video again. First of all, let me just say that I am a beginner cyclist. At the beginning of the pandemic, I was trying to find a form of cardio that I really enjoy. There was just no way that I was going to spend $2500 on a Peloton on top of a $40 dollar subscription a month. I decided on this bike because it fit my budget. I bought this bike because I work a ton and can't always get to the gym, where we have top of the line spinning equipment and instructors. I wanted a bike that was either equivalent or very close, so that I could work out at home. I was so thrilled with this bike that I purchased a second for my daughter. The bike is not massive, but, a decent size. It fits in my medium sized NYC apartment (one in the living room and one in the master bedroom). The bike is sturdy, nice looking and really looks like it should cost a lot more that $250. Since I have been spinning for years, I don't need an instructor. Yet, placing the bikes close to my TV and in well air conditioned rooms, certainly helps! The bike has all the same adjustment features as the gym cycles (seat goes up/down/forward back) and handlebars can be raised/lowered. The handlebars are padded. The seat is similar, also – but, as I ride a lot, I like to keep a spin cushioned seat on it (which, I sometimes brought to spin classes with me). While the bike is heavy, it simply transported by tilting and using the attached wheels. Occasionally, the bike can squeak (as other bikes often do), which I quickly resolve with a few drops of oil. The only thing missing from this bike is a water bottle holder. However, my 10 year old son resolved this issue by using tape to hang a plastic bucket from the handrail (where I place my water-bottle)! He also attached a small light weight wire box (with clear mail tape – also to the handrail), where I store my iphone, tv remote or whatever! In fact, he placed a small flat board on the rail for my laptop, and, I am actually typing this review as I happily spin and watch a movie with him~ I hope this is helpful!Melissa

I got this bike on Amazon On sale and it’s pretty great. Super easy to put together – it took me about 45 minutes by myself. The directions are very simple to read and u detests forget also. The bike rides smooth and has many different levels of tension for a more challenging ride. The handle bar and seat are adjustable, although I wish it had more positions as I am short and it doesn’t sit where I’d like it to. The seat is not that comfortable and I had to buy a gel cushion for comfort. All in all it’s a pretty good bike for not a lot of money.emily.l

This an amazing stationary bike. It is well built and sturdy. This is not your typical flimsy, shaky home bike. This is gym quality construction. However, the tools and assembly instructions are weak. You can assemble with the tools provided but get your own tools. Also the pictures and written instructions are poor.You will have to use your common sense. Sunny should have PDFs of these instructions on the website. Also, the instructions with the cadence sensor and the app does not match so until they update the paperwork you will have to email support for instructions to pair the sensor with the app. I was initially skeptical about buying a huge piece of equipment online but this bike did not disappoint. If your are looking for a strong sturdy bike to use in the home, this is an amazing choice.Rajendra M.

This is a pretty good exercise bike. It is sturdy and it easily handles me and I am 230 lbs. It would be better if the handle bars were adjustable for rake otherwise there is only the racing bike position. As reported by others, the seat is very hard mostly due to it's shape. If your height is less than 5'5", this bike might not be adjustable to your stature. I have the seat as far forward as it will go, the height of it is as low as it will go and the handle bars as high as they will go.1GoodGuy

We needed a stationary bike that gave us: a small footprint; a stable, quiet and realistic ride; a decent workout; high quality minimizing maintenance and up-keep; a simple design minimizing things that can go wrong; and, no vibrations through the floor would annoy our downstairs neighbors. All this without breaking the bank. This bike served all those needs. Plus: This bike was easy to set up–all tools need included and there's not that many steps until you're done. The bike shipped in packaging that kept it factory fresh. The bike is really easy to move around once it's put together. Tilt it up on it's "travel wheels" and you can push and steer it around at will. Walmart service was excellent too. FedEx too. We got the product we ordered, in perfect condition, a day earlier then expected. A perfect transaction all the way around here. The seat is well made but it is on the hard side. It's more for pro cyclists, or for short high intensity workouts. We replaced it with a more cushy one, but that's more of a personal preference. Also, the instructions didn't point out that the seat as well as the bike has a forward and back adjustment capability. Eventually, we realized we could move the seat more forward than it was. The bike is not completely silent but my wife says she doesn't hear it through the one wall between it and our bedroom when I am riding. Both of us can watch TV while one is riding too. An independent company rated the chain-driven equivalent to this belt-driven bike #2 and it evaluated a good number of bikes. We also added a cheap cyclometer (bike computer) to give us some idea of time and distance. We have about 15 hours and over 100 miles (or so) so far. We used one of the double-side, removable mounting strips from a 3M pack of small wall hangers to mount the magnet half of the sensor to the wheel. (Normally, you would attach the magnetic half of a sensor to a spoke.) (BTW, I am not happy with the performance of the cyclometer we are using–a Sunding SD-563B–too many functions and I cant' get the speed right, but to be fair, I could be the major problem when it comes to how the cyclometer operates. I rode today the bike today for over 90 minutes, averaging about a 130 bpm heartrate. I was soaking wet with sweat when I was done and very happy to have watched a movie at the same time. Since the actual model number for this bike isn't really indicated anywhere else on this page, it's important to know that this bike is the Sunny Health & Fitness SF-B1002 Belt Drive Indoor Cycling Bike. This bike is extremely sturdy and well built! The package alone was 120 pounds, thanks in part to the nearly 50 pound flywheel. It took about 30 minutes to put this bike together, and the directions were pretty self explanatory. I plan to buy cleats and clip-in pedals in the future, but the toe cages that come standard on the bike work just fine, and have plenty of space for ensuring a secure fit. The bike runs super quietly due to the belt drive. It's important to maintain the flywheel resistance friction by hitting the flywheel with silicone spray every week or so. Folks in other reviews have stated that it becomes squeaky over time if not maintained correctly. I chose to purchase this bike from BBB after finding a sweet 20% off coupon and learning that BBB would ship this bike to me for free (which is typically not the case for Hawaii- Other retailers either wouldn't ship to Hawaii at all, or wanted $300+ JUST for shipping!), and couldn't be happier with the service I received throughout the process. I was so excited to purchase this bike. It came with great recommendations from friends who also have it. On my 9th ride though the resistance lever is no longer activating the resistance. To be fair I have not called customer service yet. But disappointed after so few rides that I need to.Colleen B.

This bike is honestly amazing for the price, you're paying for a standard spin bike, much like you'd see at the gym. It's quiet and has a really clean look. It also rides extremely nice._x000D_ The reason for my 3 stars, is after one use the right pedal came loosed during my wife's ride. As soon as she felt it she hopped off. I took a look at it and the entire threading inside the crank was mangled. I work on my mountain bike a lot and put this together myself, so I questioned my ability for a second, but after my brother in law looked at it, it seemed it was just a manufacturing defect. Luckily we had the kit to rethread the whole thing and now it works fine. _x000D_ Just be warned to take the first ride very slow and make sure nothing is coming loose so you don't run into the same problem I did.Patrick L.

Just bought it. I needed to do some home exercises without spending too much money. It took me an hour to put it together. The seat was hard to tighten. So my first ride, the seat kept loosening making it go too far forward and too far back. I tightened it as tight as it could go. So now, I find myself tightening it before every single ride. Yesterday during my exercise, the pedal on my left side FELL OFF! The inner side of the insertion screw hole lining started coming out, making it hard for the pedal to screw in along the grooves. I still managed to tighten pass it and got it in as best as I can. now, I am nervous about every ride "Will it fall off again?". So, this product, I wish it was just a little better.larina

Great buy for the money! Very sturdy. I did have to move the felt pad box back to center up with the adjustment handle bar. I drilled a new hole in the felt pad bracket to move the entire felt pad bracket back just a little bit. The adjustment tension handle bar did not line up straight into the center of the resistance felt pad box when you turned it down. When you turned the adjustment handle down, it did not go down exactly into center of the felt pad and it was pushing down only the front side of the felt pad. I was not getting the resistance that I needed. But, i centered it and fixed it.. Maybe other machines will not come like this. But, this is a great buy. Well built bicycle.Gregory

They may seem minor to some but I didn't purchase the bike only to receive defective parts. First off, I received the shipment 2 days earlier than expected so I'm happy about that. It took me roughly 2 hours to assemble. The instructions were okay to follow, not very complicated. Moreover, after I finished assembling, I got on and didn't like the pedals too much so I unscrewed the part that goes around the toes. Now I can use it barefooted. Butttt, one of the screws wouldn't budge. I mean exactly what were they trying to do screwing it so tight that I ended up stripping the screw?! I'm just glad the other end of the strap was not attached. Hence I was able to take out the rest of it and left the little end piece. Another issue I have is the foam on the bar handle. It's kinda big deal to me because I can see it. It's right there in front of me. The foam at the top isn't fully pulled up so the gap annoys me. And lastly, I agree with the other people, the seat isn't very comfortable but it's bearable. Also, I noticed some minor dents on the cover of the wheel. Not a big deal because it's not very noticeable and it's out of my sight when I'm on it. But nevertheless, I love it! It's simple and functional. I could careless for the monitor not being all fancy. As long as it tells me the time, calories, and distance, then I'm good! I hope it'll last longer. P.s. I've attached a photo of the handle, and after taking out the strap of the left pedal.Ross

I have had this bike about a week and have put maybe 100 miles on it or a little more. This is a great exercise bike for the price. It was not hard to put together. It has a good solid frame and doesn't rock of wobble. I am about 160 pounds so can't speak to how it is with more weight than that. It is lacking some of the adjustments that more expensive exercise bikes have but does have height and forward / backward adjustment on the seat. It also does a good job at easily adding resistance to increase the difficulty of your workout. The computer is basic in that it includes current speed, time, calories burned and distance ridden. You reset for the next ride by holding the button down three seconds and all values return to zero. It does have a bit of a hum but if you are looking for a bike to sit on indoors and peddle to get some exercise or an inexpensive training bike for those rainy day, this just might be your bike. If I had paid $800 for it I might have given it a lower score but for $130 It gets 5 stars. If I had it do do all over again I would buy this same bike.Satisfied
