I bought the swiffer wet jet wood starter kit. It?s easy to assemble. It?s easy to use and the trigger pulls nicely to spray. I absolutely love the lights. It helps to see in dark corners are under couches. Pretty awesome that swiffer send you batteries for the mop. Who even gives free batteries anymore? I used it on my wood floor and it did not leave a film behind it even brought back some shine to my floor. It cleaned them very well. The mop pads were easy to put on and take off. The WetJet Wood Mopping Starter Kit contains the power mop unit, 4 AA batteries, 10 mop pads and a 16.9 oz trial size bottle of wood floor cleaner. This configuration is currently only available on-line. When the box arrived I thought there had to be something missing because the box was really small, but I was wrong… I unboxed and assembled the power mop unit in about 5 minutes! All that was left was to try it out on my wood floor. Immediately I noticed that the mop had “headlights” that provided enough illumination to see where the solution went when it was sprayed, bonus points! The real test for me though, was how quickly it dried and if the floor was left sticky after mopping. I was happy to find out that it dried fast and left no sticky residue. The pads are very soft (packaging describes them as microfiber like) and very absorbent. After using the mop I ran my finger across the pad and there was no liquid or dirt on the surface. It's been a while since I've used a Swiffer wet jet, and I'm glad I tried them again. It's so great with kids, just spritz and wipe! These are completely interchangeable with the original Swiffer cleaner stuff too, and you don't even have to wait until the cleaner bottle is empty, just pop it out any time, and swap, no fuss. It's easy to assemble and can even be disassembled (not as easily, but how often would it matter?) and no harsh chemical smells from cleaning solution, huge plus. I've used a Swiffer for many years as a replacement for my mop and I'll say that at first I thought this would be a great strategy so I wouldn't have to deal with the hassle of traditional mopping. It has worked ok for me, but if you use the wet wipes with this don't expect it to be easy or super effective. Often after using this thing with a wet wipe to clean the floors I feel like I have done a HIIT/Cardio training class. You have to push down extremely hard against the floor in order for the wipes to pick up anything. It requires intense effort. You will be sweating after cleaning one room with this thing. Also, using the wet wipes is sort of like cleaning with a wet broom. The wipes don't pick up all the dirt, you'll still need to actively track and sweep the dirt into a pile so you can pick it up once you take off the wipe. That's another thing – the wet wipes, while they do come very wet in the box, if you use them with this Swiffer they will constantly fall off as you clean the floor. It's pretty annoying to clean the floor with a wet wipe only to have it constantly fall off and need to be reattached. Like I said, use it for a quick clean but probably should get something more reliable as your primary wet cleaning product.Alex

Instead of having to mop my floor with a traditional mop and the bucket of soapy warm water not to mention the clean up after of the mop itself and dirty water bucket. In my experience it barely even cleanses the surface and I have have to physically push and exert myself with the wet jet for just that. In my experience it barely even cleanses the surface and I have have to physically push and exert myself with the wet jet for just that. Perhaps they redesigned it over the last year or two and it works better but in my opinion it does not clean your floors as good as it should. Also taking into consideration the expensive refills of both the solution and pads, is it really worth it? We love the Swiffer wetjet for the ease and convenience. Our old method was to to rinse out the cloth cleaning pad after cleaning every room and that got old quick. So much work just to clean floors. I've only used the wet pads to clean our laminate floor so I can't comment on the dry pads. PROS: The wet pads smell great and the floor looks and feels clean. CONS: – The sectional handle is very thin aluminum and feels very flimsy. Feels like it could easily break. – It takes effort to keep the mop head from flipping upside down when pulling it towards you. Pushing away from you is never a problem. – The pads are too wet out of the bag (dripping wet), but they have no moisture left after about 150 sq ft. I used 3 pads the first time I used it. I now squirt the pad with little water before it gets completely dry, and it still seems to clean just as well. MIXED: I like the XL size but I have had some difficulty finding replacement pads in stock. CONCLUSION: The design of this particular Swiffer does not meet my needs or expectations, but I like it much better than the microfiber pad and Bona spray I was using before. I am going to invest in a higher quality Swiffer with a solid handle, reusable pads and the attached spray bottle.Den77
I was given this to try and was pleasantly impressed. It scrubs well. It grips the swiffer mat with little to no slippage. It has a scrubby bump on the front making it easier to wipe up heavier spots. It came with sample wet and dry wipes. I find the dry wipes a bit silly, but the wet wipes smelled fresh and dish a good job. It isn't for heavy duty jobs, but those nightly sweep ups,it's the way to go!jessie.m

After reading some of the reviews, I started worrying if I ordered just another gadget that I would be disappointed in buying. How wrong could I be! This cleaning tool is awesome! Easy to setup and start using. First of all, I thoroughly vacuumed my whole, tiled kitchen floor very well. Assembled my Swiffer mop, put on one of the enclosed heavy duty cleaning pads and started cleaning my floor. The furnished solution has a very pleasant odor and made my kitchen floor sparkle! The economical and environmental benefits just don’t overshadow the performance. This duster works better than other dusters with handles, but dusters in general don’t work well. The material doesn’t cling to dust like the floor pads of this brand. I find that after one go through my small apartment, it’s coated and cannot be reused. The perk of dusters is to be able to use them multiple times, but that’s just not the case. Also, it’s not made well and starts to fall apart. Often times I have a hard time getting the new pad on the handle without ripping some part of it. Overall, if you’re in the market for a duster this is the one to get. As a healthcare professional, I should know better than to haul out a ladder to clean my ceiling fans. Falls are a major cause of unintended injuries (even death) and I have seen my fair share of broken hips and necks. I finally decided enough of the wobbly ladder and I bought a 360 Swiffer Duster. Even though I border on petite height, I was still able to use this duster to reach my ceiling fan. And the tops of shelves. And the tops of curtain rods, And the light fixtures. This particular mop has some great features like the long cord, level of steam options, and the swivel head. It is pretty lightweight but does a good job of lifting dust, watersheds, and light foot traffic. The scrubber helps lift heavier, sticky messes if you repeatedly go over the mess or raise the steam leave. This model won't tolerate you pushing hard down on the handle so you need to be patient and just keep going over tough spots for it to do it's job, and it will. You'll need to remove the hot scrub pad immediately when you're done or place the entire unit on a counter while it cools to avoid damage on a wood floor. I left mine on a laminate wood floor while cooling down and it left white, cloudy stains underneath the pad on my floor that I cannot remove. Hard lesson learned. I find the mop head too large for smaller bathrooms.
I have many animals and hardwood and tile throughout my home. I have had a Shark and Orek steam mops before and thought they did a decent job. But I am a hardcore Bissell fan when it comes to vacuums because of the massive shedding from the pets not to mention my drooling Mastiffs. I went with this Bissell for the brand and am more than satisfied with my choice. This model, 1940W, does an exceptional job of cleaning both my hardwood and tile floors without streaking or having to go over the saliva enzymes 20x before it lifts. I can really clean my floors easily on the medium setting and did my kitchen, dining room, living room, and hallway which is about 1600sq. feet without having to refill the tank. The scrubbing pad made easy work of getting up any spills or sticky spots, all in one quick motion. This is steamer mop is far better than the other two I had. The cord is plenty long and the scent discs which I didn't think would be a big deal actually are. The whole house smelled wonderful and the scent even wafted upstairs. I bought this when it was deeply discounted to replace my other current options, which were either a bucket/mop with a lil fabuloso or pinesol or getting on my hands and knees with a rag. I already have a Dyson handheld cordless vacuum, so I decided not to get the vacuum steam mop combo version, and just get this lighter steam mop only instead. Just as the Dyson made me not mind vacuuming, I thought that getting the lighter steam mop would do the same for me but for mopping, even though it's corded. I have to say, it does what it says it'll do. It's not as detailed as spending hours in the floor with a hand-rag, or as deep cleaning as soaking the tile floor with a mop-bucket but it's wayyyyy less mess, dries wayyyy faster, it's wayyyy more ergonomic, and more likely that I'll do this more often than the other two methods, which was basically out of desperation once a year. I also really like that the pads are reusable and washable, even if it's kind of a pain to remember to wash them, and don't even mind the cord. It's the perfect length to cover my entire kitchen without unplugging. Glad I held out for this. So I have never tried the Swiffer duster before Bzzagent sent me the Swiffer Dusters Starter kit for free in exchange for my honest review. Before I tried it, I wasn't really interested in purchasing it because I thought that a standard paper towel and generic spray would do the job without having to get an extra gadget. Boy was I wrong. One of the things that frustrates me now that I have seen the difference between my old way and using a Swiffer duster is that when you use something like a spray and paper towel it leaves behind residue and these little dust clumps so it still does not look clean. I never realized that until I saw the difference and how good the Swiffer is at picking up the gunk. I use the Swiffer dusters and the clumps are gone. Also before, I had come to accept that when there is a streak of sunlight in my house I will see dust particles because that's just how it was. Now there is a drastic difference. Another thing I love about the duster is the extendable arm so that I can get into places that I never realized needed dusting before. I dusted everything in my house in only a few minutes including window ledges and door frames that had never even seen a duster since I moved in a year earlier. I knew it was doing it's job because when I looked at the duster pad it was covered in everything that it had picked up and I was truly impressed. Now my house feels much cleaner and I notice there are far less dust particles in the air so it is also healthier for my family. One of the other things I really love about this product too is surprisingly how much my 8 year old loves using it! I think it makes her feel really tall when she can reach things like the ceiling fan when she is only 49 inches in height. This product is so much better than the alternatives; wet dusting and using a cloth or feather duster. I stopped using feather dusters years ago because it literally just spreads the dust and doesn't actually pick it up which is not very clean. With the Swiffer duster you can see that it has picked mostly everything up. This is my 2nd machine. I love the ease of using it, as it doesn't hurt my back like mopping with a large mop however it has its drawbacks. I have multiple large dogs and a family that is in the landscaping business so we always have dirt and mud being tracked in. My kitchen floor is vinyl tile and white so everything is easily noticed. The first one I bought lasted about 8 months and then a piece broke off where the water is sucked into so I had to quit using. I bought the 2nd one and made sure to take extra care but I'm experiencing what many on here have stated. It takes me 3 tanks do to my kitchen which is about 300 sq ft. Because I have to go over each area multiple times. Ii don't mind doing this but it's a lit of starts and stops to get the floor cleaned. However once it's done it looks great. I wish there was a way that you could make the brushes scrub harder for the tough spots, and maybe add a heater to keep the water hot so the floor would be cleaned faster. Also because of its size you can't get into the hard to reach places and you would still have to mop those areas. I will continue to use my machine until it breaks down but hopefully their will be improvement soon. Lastly as everyone has stated the machine does leave water trails especially when standing still, I have just learned to clean those up as I go and when I'm done I have to papertowel the last spot to soak up the water.Colleen
I was expecting great things from this particular PowerDash product. But after reading the reviews, it was true, the vacuum didn't pick up the water left on the floor as I was expecting. I called customer service and she said to add some water in the collecting tank but it still didn't pick up much water. I miss the Floormate (sold out). I will wait for that. I like Hoover products. I realize people can be very harsh and critical and say don't buy this but you gain even better ideas from their comments. I don't expect a miracle from any machine. I can't expect a product to miraculously clean the grout of the tile. It's really a blessing that companies such as yours can give us an easier way of living. I had a floormate for 15 years that needed to be replaced. I purchased the PoweDash Hard Floor cleaner in May 2022 The new machine was flimsy and inferior design from the old machine from the onset. Less than six months later, it no longer works. The machine stopped dispersing the liquid onto the floor. My husband, a mechanical engineer, evaluated the machine with no success. I contacted Bed Bath and Beyond and I was instructed to call the manufacturer. That was done and three days later there is still no callback from the message left. Save your money and the headache. Most of my house is slate/tile and I have a dog. I have used erase type products on kitchen/bath but never on floor. It leaves the floor really clean. In kitchen I add little vinegar to hot water. I have a rectangle plastic container with hot water that I clean out mop in. I have a replacement top waiting in cupboard. However mop is wearing well. Don't let naysayers get you down. This is a great product and time saver. My dog was allergic to chemicals in wet jet swifter stuff. Yucky.Nana diane

Seriously, I couldn't wait to use this thing. I didn't wait for it to charge fully when I got it home, but it still lasted long enough for me to do my entire entryway, alcove, half bath, kitchen, master bath, and walk-in closet. My home isn't enormous, but it's not small either. I didn't time how long it took, but I wasn't rushing…. I have 2 dogs and this thing is going to be a lifesaver! I have a chronic illness, work full-time, and have 2 teenagers, so pulling out the broom and dustpan constantly just wasn't in the cards. I was getting so tired of the tumbleweeds of fur (they pile up after like 3 days) that I contemplated getting rid of my hard floors. But this saved me from that! I can't speak for longevity, because I just bought it tonight… But even if it only lasts a couple years, the $40 was worth it for me. I mean, one meal for my family costs more than that these days.Angela
I’ve used these vacs for 8 yrs, they last a good 2 years before battery life begins to diminish. New location of power button makes it easy to turn off by accident and Yes! I agree battery time could last a little longer, Mine is a solid 15 minutes of vacuum time.I use two vacs to do my whole house when I want to take my time under furniture. I gave it 5 stars because where can you find a vacuum that dusts the floor at the same time. I have used my regular vacuum on floor settings and while it does pick up loose dirt/hair it still leaves the dust and dirt on floor and unfortunately will scratch my floor as well. I have beautiful dark hardwood floors and a dog, a swifter without the vac just pushes hair and larger size debris around. This vacuum makes my life so much more easy, even with its flaws I LOVE IT!!! Tip for cleaning: dump loose dirt in trash and use toothbrush to clean filter or reg vacuum house to clean it, your filter and suction power will perform at peak level longer.Mindy
Love this lightweight broom vac! This is the second one i've owned and was difficult to find as Swiffer has discontinued them. It picks up dust, dirt, crumbs and most importantly dog hair! So much easier than sweeping and picking up with a dust pan as it is a vacuum with a bag less container. It also uses a dust cloth as well that traps and picks up hair and small particles the vac may miss. I'be ordered a second one to put up in the garage and save until the day comes that i'll need to replace the current one. Definitely recommend this item to replace a broom and dustpan!HOLLY

I've used a Swiffer for many years as a replacement for my mop and I'll say that at first I thought this would be a great strategy so I wouldn't have to deal with the hassle of traditional mopping. It has worked ok for me, but if you use the wet wipes with this don't expect it to be easy or super effective. Often after using this thing with a wet wipe to clean the floors I feel like I have done a HIIT/Cardio training class. You have to push down extremely hard against the floor in order for the wipes to pick up anything. It requires intense effort. You will be sweating after cleaning one room with this thing. Also, using the wet wipes is sort of like cleaning with a wet broom. The wipes don't pick up all the dirt, you'll still need to actively track and sweep the dirt into a pile so you can pick it up once you take off the wipe. That's another thing – the wet wipes, while they do come very wet in the box, if you use them with this Swiffer they will constantly fall off as you clean the floor. It's pretty annoying to clean the floor with a wet wipe only to have it constantly fall off and need to be reattached. Like I said, use it for a quick clean but probably should get something more reliable as your primary wet cleaning product.Alex
