I began swimming more often this summer, and found my just-to-shoulder-length hair was taking a beating when I just clipped it up. I have an older Speedo cap that I love, but I wanted a little more color (my Speedo cap is pearl white). This cap is true to the color shown. It goes on fairly easily, doesn''t snag my hair either. I normally soak my hair in the showers, and apply a conditioner to my hair, before putting the cap on, so my hair doesn''t absorb a lot of chlorine. Sometimes I pull my hair back in a ponytail before putting the cap on, too. I am petite, and maybe my head is a bit on the petite side, but this cap is quite roomy on me. I find myself often pulling the cap down around my ears (although I admit that I fold the cap up near my ears when I am not in the pool, so I have to fold it back DOWN when I get in to swim each time).SwimmerinMD
Love this swim cap. I use it with a liner (not included), it's stretchy, goes on easy and doesn't feel like it's crushing my skull. If it's supposed to have the feel of silicon, it doesn't. it's closer to the feel of a thin latex cap, but softer in the stretch so it doesn't pinch as much. however, it also lifts up over my ear when swimming and doesn't stay put quite as well as latex. So, in a negative way, closer to silicon- which are more comfortable, thicker, but don't stay put as well. I bought a few of these- hey, they don't cost much- and the first one lasted almost 3 months of 3x wk swimming before it snapped. 2nd one looks about halfway there after 1.5-2months. I’ve tried to use this simply for water aerobics and every time it slides up, even if I don’t submerge my head. I’ve tried covering ears and pulling down as far as possible, squeezing all air out but always slides off. I looked in the mirror tonight before removing and I had a big bubble on top of my head. I have thin shoulder length hair. Maybe this would be better for someone who has a lot of hair to fill that bubble it made.Sher67
This is bar none the only brand that as a swimmer who swims on the regular prefers. The best all around simply because it works. It doesn't get bleached out, torn, ripped, or faded as fast as some of the other brands. Great colors and quality. You typically see the pros use this as well as Olympic athletes. Most of the swim caps were out of stock when I was ordering, so I decided to try this one even though someone prior reviewed that it ran small. I have a rather small head, but this cap is still a small fit. It gets on but not as stretchy as I hoped. I did not care about my hair getting wet – and it is too small to get the hair up under. However, I do not normally wear swim caps, and ordered this as a backup for literal head protection while swimming in a local pond – where biting horseflies at attacked me before. I haven't run up against them again, but it stayed on and seems thick enough to protect in future. I specifically did not want latex [allergic], nor any cap that clung too tightly to my head. So it is okay for the purpose. It is well made, not skimpy in quality, just in sizing.bonnie

I bought this for open water swimming as the weather grew colder. My first time trying it out I was sceptical. I did get brain freeze when I first got in the water (I am very sensitive to the cold) but once I was used to the temperature the hat definitely kept me much warmer for much longer, allowing me to stay in the water for a far greater time. I noticed the difference after exiting the water too – I certainly wasn’t as cold as usual despite it being a very chilly day. I’d say this is a must for open water swimming in the winter!Liz10

I am a triathlete and use this cap for pool training. This was the first silicone cap I had ever used. It has a great feel to it, fits very comfortably on my head, and does not pull my hair like the latex caps do. That is not that big of a deal for me, but my wife is worried about caps pulling her hair out, so I bought her one of these caps too, and she really likes it. I keep buying these caps from Nike and keeping them in my bag just so I have an extra if one breaks, but even going to the pool 3-4 times/week, my first cap still looks and feels new.
