I ride 28 miles a day commuting, including 8 mi of gravel, so take this with a grain of salt: My iPhone 11 with slim case jiggles loose after hitting bumps at 15mph and after ~10 min on gravel (high frequency small bumps?) or jumping curbs and train tracks. Phone has not dropped, just one or two bands come off. If you’re wearing full gloves, it’s not easy to remove and replace your phone. Not easy to quickly remove to take a pic. It’s not hard, it’s just not quick. I keep a hair tie on it for security and that works well but it’s another obstacle. So yes I’ll recommend it but not for MTB or gravel. oh and of course it’s not waterproof, and don’t imagine you can strap a waterproof case to it – you cannot.Gman

I bought this for my elderly mother who enjoys using her tablet but her arms get tired easily when she holds it. Now after a few weeks using it, I polled her for her opinion. She hopes that it never breaks because she loves it. The goose neck tubing does take a little bit of muscle to manipulate it but once it's in place, it holds it's position very well. The grips on the mount are nice and tight for holding a 10" tablet or cell phone without blocking any buttons. The clamp has nice rotation and tilt ability to adjust your view. The foam neck cushion works nicely to prevent pressure on the back of the neck. My mother said it's perfect for holding her tablet in her line of sight so she can look at her TV and tablet at the same time. I have only one warning, on my mother's first day using it, she tried to walk with it around her neck and we immediately noticed that she couldn't see her feet or any obstructions in her path. I have a 12.9" iPad Pro (5th gen) with a case and Apple Pencil and was in search of a portable stand that I can carry with me for gigs. Up to this point, I've hauled around a traditional Manhasset stand but wanted something far more portable, yet durable. I was leary of a number of tablet stands that are available online for much cheaper (think big online retailer with 2-day shipping for members) and I didn't have confidence that some of those would hold up reading some reviews as I didn't want to risk my iPad to be knocked over or slip out of the stand onto the ground. I came across this $80+ setup on the GC website and after 5 minutes of playing with this, this portable stand is absolutely SOLID. What I like about this is the height of the stand extends to as high as 5 feet excluding the tablet attachment, that the attachment allows tilting toward you or away, and also that the attachment can pivot to allow your tablet to be used in portrait or landscape mode. Aside from using this as a music stand for your digital sheet music on a tablet, this would also be handy for videoconferencing or even using a tablet as a digital sign/display. Any application where you need your hands free and want your tablet stand to be elevated above the floor will work just fine. The build quality, especially the stand, is durable yet a tad heavy for my taste. The attachment is lightweight and I have yet to lug this around with it being new but it seems like both will work well paired together no matter where you go either at home or away. The stand itself compacts down to 18 inches which might stick out of a backpack, so just be aware. I'm very happy with this stand and wanted to be the first to share my experience with other similar gig musicians who are in search of that right portable stand. I purchased this for use in the car for hand-free driving and still having all the conveniences of a computer at my fingertips. It is well made; the metal construction appears very well made; the locking mechanisms work perfectly but it takes a little use of the product to become completely comfortable with all the swivel options available; setting this up was easy and it grips the tablet securely. I would not recommend this product if it was made from plastic but since it is metal, I can feel comfortable in getting many years of use from it. It is worth the price for a one-time-only purchase.
We use this tablet holder in a ford transit 350 to hold and iPad Air 2 in a folio case and it fits nicely. We do a lot of maps/directions and this allowed us to adjust the iPad to the perfect viewing angle that keeps our eyes on the road more. I will say that the depth of an iPad it can hold is a bit minimal. It can definitely hold an iPad without a case, but once you put it in a case, it starts to get tighter. The folio fits nicely and a tough case (like an otter box) can be held, but barely. If your case has a hand strap on the back, it will probably not fit. Overall though, it does as advertised and is a sturdy metal arm. The cup part seems like it will fit most cup holders, as it is expandable. Great product, worth the cost.BigFatMonkeys

I was looking for a tablet mount that would attach to my camera tripod, I discovered the attachment clamp was too small to fit around the legs of my tripod. Bought this as I accidentally left my K & M model at home and needed it for a performance on the road. I use an Airturn 4-pedal when I'm playing/singing, so I thought this would be a nice compliment to that. Does it hold up an iPad? Yes… however, the biggest downfall (which should not be, IMO) is getting an iPad in and out of it. It has two clamps that hold the tablet in place. However, it is a bit of a tedious task to get it in and out. If you're just going to put an iPad in it and leave it there, it might be fine. However, I need to be able to take the tablet out quickly, and this does NOT allow you to do that. Even tried to use the other set of clips that come with it (they are a bit larger), but same issue. My K & M model allows me to take the tablet in and out with one hand, and it locks in place. It was a bit more expensive, but worth the money. This one is going back, for sure.Steve-O
It's funny to me how the negative reviews are coming from iPad users. The bottom line is that this is a universal product. It has worked fine with everything I own, from my tablet to my phone (and yes I am a gigging musician). At first I was dubious on the price, but having wasted more than 20 bucks on a bargain product, I feel this was worth the price as it has lasted much longer and shows no signs of failing. WOW! I am really surprised to see those negative comments! MY experience is the complete opposite! In fact, I was really pleased with the MANOS' durability – I see nothing fragile about it. After substantial online research, searching for THE ONE truly "universal" tablet holder I could use with my iPadAir, my Samsung SmartPhone and my Microsoft Surface units, I actually bought three different brands. The AirTurn MANOS won the competition and I've ordered two more so I'll have two here at home and a third will reside at our rehearsal studio. Its "grippers" easily hold my Microsoft SURFACE computer (and it's no lightweight!) in-place, vertically, better than the other brands. I'm eliminating the need for music stands entirely, reclaiming that precious floor space – after all, I'd like the audience to see US, not our music stands! The MANOS tablet holders conveniently attach to any mic stand and will hold our Surface computers containing original music MP3s of all the songs we play (so we can listen to them anytime, anywhere), a PDF document of all our lyrics, relevant sheet music, notes, etc., all nicely bookmarked and operated via the computers' touch-screens. We can turn pages during a song by using an AirTurn Bluetooth pedal system like the AirTurn DUO, or BT-106, etc… "Look, Ma! No Hands!" No more having to frantically turn pages in that clunky binder on that clunky, space-eating music stand that never has enough light on it, anyway, and is always in the way! These AirTurn products have simplified our Stage Experience considerably. I purchased this Aduro tablet holder to use with my phone. I have a hard time holding my phone in a traditional way. The versatility of the this device allows me to put it in different positions to hold my phone as I walk watching tv shows on my phone. It is a solid unit, so far. This stand is trash. Don't waste your time or money. The adjustable handle moved fine when adjusted one direction then when I tried to adjust it in the other direction it made a loud popping sound and broke off. The small "steel" plate that was bent around the handle had snapped in two. My guess is that it was poor quality steel and a poorly designed mounting system to blame. Requesting a refund.
This stand is stable and will rest on any flat surface or my lap holding the iPad securely in landscape posture. It’s not tall enough to hold it in portrait posture – that’s the only drawback. But I use it both to hold the iPad for viewing and to carry it securely. I really like it. It’s my second one that I’m buying because I have a new iPad and I want a different color. This mount is nice and sturdy. It's well made and all the mounting hardware and joints are metal! The backing that the tablet rests against is the only plastic part but that's ok. It was easy to install and holds in place well. I ordered one initially and was so happy with the quality of construction that I got a second for my other car. The only improvement I could suggest would be a way to lock the tablet holder in place more permanently. It's easy to bump the mount and loosen the threaded mounting post that the holder attaches to. It's easy to twist the tablet holder slightly to tighten it up again but it's a bit annoying at times. This could probably be fixed with some loc-tite or some other type of thread locker.
I wanted a tablet mount for my car so my niece can use the iPad during the car rides, but not just any mount. A mount that is adjustable is prefered…So like any user, I searched… and searched… while this one is pretty pricey compared to others, I'm glad I purchased it! This is probably the most solid built mount I have ever used. Being able to extend and angle the mount is a plus. The mount itself holds my iPad very securely with minimal vibrations. Great product for watching movies or YouTube while working or relaxing. I mainly bought this for my toddler so he can watch movies while laying down. This produce is very durable and was able to attach my 11-inch IPad with no problem. This was exactly what I have been looking for! Then I got it, and put my iPad on it. The gooseneck was very hard to bend. As in almost impossible! Once I got it into an acceptable position with my iPad I realized it just wouldn t work. If I only used it to hold my device, and never intended to touch it, it would have been fine. But whenever I touched it, even slightly, it would start shaking!

Overall, very happy with item. I have it clamped to the headboard of my bed and use it with a tablet while laying on my back. I think this is much higher quality than the $20 ones that you see on Amazon. It's very well built, the spring-loaded tablet holder makes it easy to put the tablet in the holder, and easy to remove. The clamp handle on the base can be lifted and rotated while tightening the clamp, so having the headboard close to a wall should not be a concern. The gooseneck itself is the main item of concern. If this is for use by an elderly or person with arm strength concerns, they may need assistance. The gooseneck doesn't just sit in place, you have to raise it and wrestle with it then let it settle into the position you want. Once you play around with it, you'll get used to it. I think I saw a photo of this being mounted to a fork truck. That'll not work, it will bounce around and I can guarantee it won't remain in place. Once you have it in position, it will remain there as long as it's mounted to something stationary, and it's fairly sturdy when you tap the screen, but there is some bounce, so this isn't really up to the task of a hardworking user who needs a rock solid mount. The gooseneck is only 24" long, which is ok with my bed, but another 6"-12' of length would be useful, at the cost of more bounce. Glad I purchased it, would buy again.Mel
