Wow this was the first time I used the St Tropez whipped Crème Mousse 200ml and I was so impressed with the results! I was gifted this to try out and the results are amazing Firstly I washed / shaved and exfoliated once that was done out the way I used moisturiser on the dry spots (knees, elbows, ankles, heels etc.) I was then ready to get my summer glow! I opened up the mitt and was so impressed with how soft it was unlike others I had used in the past. I shook the mousse well before using, I then went on to squirt the mousse onto the mitt and then applied. It literally had no scent which I was so glad of as usually other self tans I’ve used stinks and I can’t stand the smell but I honestly couldn’t smell a thing. The mousse glided onto my skin and the mit blended it in so well. The mousse absorbed really quickly and I was surprised that it didn’t leave me feeling sticky all day. Once applied all over I then cleaned my mitt ready for next time. I used warm water with a little hand soap I left the tan on for around 8 hours then washed off in the shower The results were fantastic I am so happy the tan looks natural and perfect for my skin tone it does say to re apply for a darker colour but I’m happy with the colour as it is. The St. Tropez Self-Tan Luxe Whipped Créme Mousse gave me a beautiful “I just got home from vacation” glow! I applied the mousse directly on one leg and quickly spread the product in circles using the double sided luxe tan applicator mitt, then repeated the process on the second leg. Once I felt confident that I knew I was doing I did my arms, chest, stomach, lower back, and only needed a little bit of help to get between my shoulder blades. For the hands I recommend creating a claw and just using the excess product so that you don’t end up with hands that are too dark. Honestly it saved me so much time and a trip to the tanning salon. The tanning mitt is an absolute must, you simply wash it with soapy water after you’re done applying to the body and it looks like new! You will notice a difference immediately and the tan gradually develops throughout the day. I don’t recommend wearing white immediately after tanning because it will stain your clothes, and just like most tanning products have a distinct scent, this one does too. Gifted by St. Tropez. I'm a big fan of the original limited edition version of this self tanner and was so sad when it was sold out before I bought a back up. Fortunately, I still have some of my old can and was able to do a side by side test to see what (if any) differences there are between the original and the new version. TLDR: not the same but 95% similar. Divisive between my husband and I, he prefers new shade and I still prefer older can. There's an immediate shade difference recognizable from just dispensing the product onto the tanning mitt which originally put me off. One thing that was so amazing with the first version was how olive toned it was – made it much more natural looking than typical orange tanners. This new version color guard is very orange and unappealing. I left my tanner on my legs for 12 hours before I washed it off. The results were completely unexpected – almost the exact same color. Honestly, based on how it went on I was ready for extreme disappointment (and embarrassment for having two different color legs). The difference is really in the undertones and really only if you're looking for a difference. My husband didn't even realize I had two different shades on until I pointed it out. There's also a slight difference in depth, the new version is deeper and I feel has more opacity to it (or maybe I just applied a fuller layer of it), which also added more dimension. It seems more like a flushed out tanned beach body versus a natural shade up progression. Moving away from comparing old and new and just focusing on the new can. This is my second Jergens Tanning Mouse that I bought. I first bought the lighter shade as I’m quite pale and new to tanning. I love these products. I apply with a mit. I watched a lot of YouTube videos as well for tips and tricks and application techniques. It is fast drying. I wait probably 15-20 mins to get dressed after applying but it dries in a few minutes. I don’t feel sticky after either. I have never had it rub off dramatically. I was wearing a tight crop top a few hours after and it rubbed off a little bit in the seam. Yea I believe it has a color guide just so you can see where you are applying it. When you first shower 8-12 hrs later, you may see that come off but it leaves color behind on your skin. There is a little scent left over. To me it smells like freshly peeled potatoes! I know that’s odd but it isn’t too strong to me. Overall great product! I'm not a newbie when it comes to tanning lotions. I am pale or red when it comes to tanning naturally. Anyways, I showered, shaved, exfoliate, add a little lotions to elbows/knees/ankles and applied the the foam with a mitt. Just like I would with any other tanning lotion I ever used. It was easy to see where you applied which I liked. Yet, later that day my legs were uneven tan (same amount of lotion and circular motions) no water or sweat after applying. To describe my outcome is going out to the garden and getting dirt on you.. some areas have dirt while other areas are still untouched. My tan looks hideous and I had to go out and about on mother's day looking horrible. Lesson learned : don't go cheap on a product and don't always trust reviews as I seen it was 4 stars and decided to try it for myself. Just ask a salon what they recommend instead. I am a self-tan addict and I have tried many, many brands and product types over many years! I have high standards for how my tan looks and I hope my review is helpful! The body product is overall very nice but the price is less impressive when you realize how quickly you go through the bottle. The face lotion is nice too, but I'm not blown away and I don't like that it makes my face sweat profusely after application. The good: color result is beautiful and lasts a long time when compared to other brands (I swam in non-chlorinated water and it wore very well), non-streaking, no color guide is nice because it doesn't transfer onto fabrics, and it looks very natural. The bad: the product would only be a good price if there was double the fluid ounces in each bottle – I went through the entire bottle in only 2-3 applications and that was very disappointing (I'm not a large person). It does start to get splotchy on hands, between breasts, and elbow/knee ditches after a few days but I've never found a product that does not do that (I believe because skin cells naturally shed). I won't be buying the face lotion again but I will repurchase the body lotion. I will, however, continue looking for a product that is better because I'm not convinced that this is the best out there. I, like many of you I'm guessing, have tried numerous self tanners. After a skin cancer scare a few years ago, I'm much more diligent about protecting myself from the sun but also love that tan glow. I bought the face tanning serum and the dark body tanning lotion. I have tried drugstore brands, Rodan & Fields, Beauty by Earth, Isle of Paradise, St Tropez, etc etc etc. I will say this self tanning lotion is my favorite. I'm still deciding on the face serum, but the lotion is a natural glow with less of an odor than others I have tried. I like that the face serum contains ingredients that actually help fine lines and wrinkles. I like that the body lotion isn't thick or "gooey" feeling and dries quickly. It doesn't stain clothes. I love this product for its clean beauty and the light even normal non orange color it produced . I am pleasantly suprised. I don’t lay out in sun, my skin naturally becomes tan in late spring summer just walking my dog. I bought this to use for arms and legs before bathing suit season starts . Ease of use, no transfer , it drys in a few minutes and on first application it was very light . You shoukd exfoliate day before use and the best results . I did this and did a light spray on my arms and lower legs and chest. I wear my nails manicured and I even put on hands with a makeup sponge. Perfect.. just don’t keep spraying I find you spray in your hands and spread on fronts and backs of arms and legs . I wash my hands with a loofa type sponge so my palms are not orangey. I have really pale skin and self tanning lotions or sprays have never looked good on me. Needless to say I didn't have very high hopes for these drops, but I am surprised to say I was proved wrong! These are a great choice for someone who has trouble getting an even look that doesn't look too orangey. Even though the bottle isn't very big it lasts quite a while. I found going conservative keeps you looking much more natural and gives the sun kissed look without an unnatural orangey appearance. If you use too much you may end up with the dreaded orange look. It's really easy to apply-just add a few drops to your normal body lotion or facial lotion and mix it up and apply like usual. For an even look I'd highly suggest to exfoliate properly beforehand, but even if you don't it applies pretty well and looks good when it's absorbed. The only downside to this product is that the tan doesn't seem to last a long time. It's there for about 3 days or so and then it's time to reapply. But because it's so easy to apply it's not too much of a hindrance. I also did have a slight amount of acne that popped up after use-although it may have just been my face reacting to a new product and it has since subsided just fine. This is a great product! I got the exact tan I wanted, and it was simple enough to add to my lotion after my shower. It does have that typical fake-tanner smell, which I don't mind. It's not overwhelming, and it fades in a couple hours. Don't be convinced by the people who say this product streaks; that's just user error, and they don't know how to apply it properly. After showering and exfoliating my body, I used rubber gloves to apply it so my hands didn't stain. I squirt some lotion onto my finger, put about 5 drops (per area on my body) into my palm, then took my free hand to mix them together, and finally applied to each area just like I'm putting lotion on. This a product I did not know I was missing out of on, until now after trying! I've tried self-tanning products in the past, and none of them stayed long-term. It ended up being too much work spreading the mousse with the glove, and let's face it, the strong terrible scent always stayed on my body. I'm loving this product- because it's so easy to use and works so well. I use it 2 x a week and mix it in the evening with my moisturizer. I love the glow it provides, and my body looks tan. I realized I only need 2 drops for my face, and 10 for the rest of my body. I applied 5 drops on my face the first time trying, and it was too much. With the 2 drops on my face, it blends really well with no streaks at all anywhere. This product does not break out my skin. I have a dry skin-type, and an extensive facial routine. I use a facial oil after applying this on my face. This serum contains alcohol, but it doesn't irritate my skin. I use it the same each time, but every resulting tan turns out slightly different from the last – sometimes my hands are extremely orange and splotchy even after washing several times during and post application, sometimes my face is unevenly tan, and sometimes there are random splotches on my legs and/or arms. This could most definitely be user error, but I've consistently used the same method each time and feel like the result is always a surprise. Perhaps if I used less drops for a more subtle tan, the results would be perfect. I first had difficulty with the tan taking on my legs as much as my upper body, but now I just do my legs twice and it works well. PROS: Easy and quick application with little to no residual smell. Love that you can mix it with whatever lotion you like. No post-application stickiness and dries very quickly. Way less streaky than mousse tans I've tried. You can easily control the level of tan you prefer – you can use it for a dark all-over tan or use it to touch up a slightly faded tan in one area. I usually do my entire body and then do my face/chest again with less drops on day 3 or 4. Lasts a surprising amount of time (usually about 7+ days for me with proper moisturizing and exfoliation). CONS: Difficult to see where you've previously applied product which can result in random splotches. Relatively inconsistent. Bottle doesn't last as long as you'd hope. Can turn hands orange even after several washes – I definitely recommend latex gloves for body and using a brush for hand application.Angela
I’m very fair skinned. I don’t necessarily burn in the sun but I don’t tan either. I’ve literally tried so many different tanning lotions etc. I even went for a few months to an actual airbrush tanner and while sometimes it would look okay, it almost always looked fake and I looked ridiculous. I seen a TikTok about using self tanner for contouring on your face so I said fine, it’s not my body. I’ll just try it on my face. I did it and it came out SO good that I decided to give it a try on my body. I used the “light” shade and it’s perfection. Made me dark enough to make a difference but it’s SO light and subtle.. I’m actually in shock at how great it came out! I exfoliated the day prior. Shaved and everything then before using, I rubbed regular lotion on areas like my feet, elbows etc then I used the mit that you can purchase with this and applied it from my feet up. It’s clear so that made remembering where I put it tricky lol but I mean common sense goes a long way… I plan to keep it up. Maybe reapply every week or so. Really really pleased! Great product. I’ve tried almost everything from loving tan and other brands. Caveat that I prefer the ultra dark from the non-express, though this is my backup when I’m going to restock and my preferred is out. It’s nice to alternate between developing time, too. The color after two hours is great, non streaky, deep, and golden. Sometimes I will still sleep in it as I’m used to the 6-8 hour development time of the standard formula. I don’t wake up looking over developed. Exfoliation makes the difference in a poor/good application. Exfoliate properly! This will stain sheets or clothes when wearing. Sometimes I will blowdry on cool or stand in front of my fan to help wirh dressing but it will transfer if not careful. If it’s on sheets or clothing, it comes out still in the wash. Make sure you have a mattress protector under your sheets, too! Use lotion afterwards to preserve.emilee.g
This is a Holy Grail product for sure. I have naturally pale olive skin and this literally looks like my skin tone, but darker. There is not even a whiff of orange in this formula. I have tried Loving Tan 8-hour and this Express formula; there are trade-offs. With any Express formula, after the time passes (2 hours) you RINSE off the guide color (no soap) and the color continues to develop up to 24 hours. Do not apply lotion, and try to avoid water during this 24 hour period. Loving Tan sells the overnight formula in Ultra Dark color, which I prefer, BUT I find the 2 hour formula more convenient. If the color isn't dark enough, just reapply after 24 hours. This product goes on easily with the applicator mitt (also way better quality than drugstore brands) and comes off after a week with a bit of scrub and an exfoliating mitt. In the meantime it fades evenly – EVEN IN WATER. If I use self tanner to go to the beach, I still want to go in the water! This product absolutely lets you do that, it'll just fade without leaving patches. My one and only complaint is that after opening, the bottle leaks if you don't keep it vertical. Like most self-tanners, I am constantly chasing the high of finding *the* perfect tanning product. Problem is, I really don't think it exists. However this is pretty close. I am naturally pale with dark features and warm undertones so the "orange"ness of this product doesn't bother me. I feel like it develops into a solid brown with red undertones. Not to offend anyone, but I don't find that product works well on blondes or anyone with cool undertones. The contrast is too dramatic and it DOES look more orange. All of this said, the product works best if you keep it on between 3-4 hours (any longer I find it can get splotchy) and then sleeping while it develops. The color 8 hours after rinse is amazing. It can be quite drying and can be difficult to exfoliate it off, but it's not unbearable. Just take a hot shower and scrub with a wash cloth and soap. If you have fair skin like me and want a natural looking tan, this is the product for you. If you want a super dark tan, this is not for you. There is a green tinted guide color in the mousse to help you apply evenly so you will look extra dark and streaky until you rinse off in the shower. Once it washes off it's obviously lighter but more natural looking. Then it gets a little darker over the next 8 hours or so. The people complaining about it being streaky when first applying and color washing off in the shower didn't read the description on the bottle because it's supposed to do that. Also yes, I agree it is sticky and has a smell until you rinse off but I've never tried a self tanner that doesn't have that. I put on loose clothes after a couple mins despite the stickiness and have never had issues with transfer. I always apply it when I plan to not leave the house for a few hours. I've tried a lot of self tanners and have stuck to this one for the last year because it's the easiest to apply (because of the guide color), has the best end result color (not orange), and I like that I only have to have it on for 3 hours. The self-tanner itself is a fantastic product. Beautiful and easy to blend. And simple to put on. The smell is passable-neither its fantastic not awful, but it doesn't matter. I have really sensitive skin and its gentle on it. Neither a burning not itchy sensation. Didnt produce any inflammation or pain. The tan has a nice, silky mousse consistency. Sharp lines are simple to perceive, and you can tell where you have applied it. Many additional tanning treatments,including ad moisturizers, make it difficult to detect where you have applied them, preventing the formation of sharp lines once you have browned. You have varied time restrictions while using self-tanner depending on the shade you want. If your skin is very fair, one hour will give you a faint tan. It takes 2 hours to achieve a lovely medium look, and three hours to achieve your distinctive look if you have dark skin. Other then that, the self-tanner is a simple and quick product. I first tried St Tropez about 15 years ago when self tanning at home started to trend more, it was the best then and it's the best now. I've tried all the major brands over the years, the expensive £30 ones and the cheap £5 ones and none of them compare to the OG – St Tropez. The formula is so silky it simply glides onto your skin and blends so well with a mitt, it really is fool proof. It smells nice as you apply, it's not overwhelmingly fragranced. I won't deny there is the tell tale fake tan smell as it develops but I just think whatever brand and whatever the packaging boasts you cannot get away from the smell, however with the St Tropez it isn't as strong. I leave it on overnight as I like a darker tan which this achieves without looking orange. It develops to suit my skin tone. It fades pretty evenly without going patchy, but you often get a build up in the creases of your body, again that's the same with all tan so I often scrub these areas a bit harder of loosen with a body oil. I have a VERY light complection so the sun and I are not compatible. I wear shorts and my legs glow in the dark so I really like to use a sunless tanner. I've tried all different kinds of sunless tanners and orange is not my color. This tanner does not leave me orange and I've even got compliments on it from good friends that aren't afraid to tell me like it is. Lol. You HAVE to exfoliate your skin before using ANY sunless tanner or you will have streaks. I followed the directions and used latex gloves for application. A small amount goes a long ways. It takes two to three applications to get the darkness I want. (Light to medium darkness) and then a small amount after showers to maintain it. I am pale skinned and discovered the old branded version of this product (in the bronze bottle) a year or two ago which was the perfect colour and always streak free. Was more like a body lotion in consistency so easy to apply. Saw the promotion on the new branded bottles so assumed was the same but just different packaging and snapped two up as I use regularly. Unfortunately I was very disappointed to find St Tropez have *completely* changed the formula as well as the packaging and lotion is now thinner, much darker and like the old school fake tans from years back☹️Applied it anyway to try it out and found it is really strong smelling, thin and watery to apply and worst of all goes on with a noticeable green tinge-had my family calling me Shrek for the evening whilst I waited for it to dry!!!! Unsurprisingly the next morning I washed the guide colour off (thankfully the green didn’t stay on my skin!) but I was left with streaky arms and legs…I m a seasoned pro at tan application due to the need to apply frequently in the summer as I don’t tan easily and despite this I still had noticeable whiter patches which means I can no longer rely on this as my ‘go to’ tan. This is the worst product I have tried from St Tropez. They discontinued the old gradual tan firming lotion and replaced it with this one. It instantly sets and stains, there is nothing gradual about it. I used my hand first as this is the way I used to apply the old formula. It instantly turned my hand a greenish black seven after repeated washes. I used my mitt to apply the rest and I didn’t rub in one area of my leg fast enough and same problem instant blotchy streaks. Really loved using this product as i love using St Tropez gradual self tans and was interested in using this firming gradual tan . It smelt gorgeous on application and application was fairly easy to apply it to my arms and legs. It absorbed fairly quickly and dried pretty quickly and it developed over the next 6-8 hours and I noticed the tan was a beautiful deep tan colour but also very natural. Loved that one application was enough for a gorgeous glow. It was also streak free especially around my wrists and ankles and was really natural and not orange. It also didn’t have the strong biscuity smell of most fake tans. Loved that you can build up the intensity day by day and incorporate this into your daily routine. I knocked off one star because the lotion is very emollient and if you use too much of the product it takes a good 3-5 mins to rub into the skin as it turns white on application! I noticed the second time I used less product this didn’t happen, so use less and gradually build up the application to avoid this happening in future! This product works fairly well. It did leave some streaking on one of my thighs where I must have applied it uneven and it left discoloration on my wrists but hardly noticeable. I didn't apply with gloves but I washed my hands immediately afterwards so there is a line where I washed it off. I am pretty fair skinned and I applied it two days in a row to get a nice tan color. It doesn't look orange at all. I was a little disappointed in the smell. Some reviews said it didn't smell like tanning lotion but I thought it smelled strongly of tanner and I had to take a shower before the smell wore off. I am by no means new to tanning, and when I say this is by far the worst product I’ve used it is. It’s orange, has no color guide, has a really strong DHA odor compared to others. I did everything correctly directions wise, I prepped my skin the way I normally would. I stood infront of a fan for about 40 minutes for this stuff to dry before I put clothes back on. I didn’t even keep it on for the 12-24 hours. I kept it on for 7 and I’m legitimately neon orange and there’s huge white spots still after I spent over an hour blending and trying to make sure I missed no spots. My mom tried it as well but she tried the lighter tones one and she hates it as well. I don’t understand how people like this stuff, I mean if you like being orange to each their own but I don’t and I’ll most definitely never recommend this product to anyone.emina.a

I have self tanned semi-regularly for a few years now. I wouldn’t call myself a beginner, but I was still a little nervous about trying this product since there is no guide color. But so far I have had no streaking, splotching, or patchiness. The color definitely takes 4 hours to develop; ideally I should leave it on for 6-12 hours to really get dark. I’m pretty light/pale and I got medium for reference. It’s not super sticky and the “self tan smell” isn’t as bad as some other brands. It’s still there, though. I’ve literally never used a truly odorless self tanner so I won’t knock this one for having that scent. The only reason I give it 4 starts rather than 5 is that I don’t like the color as much as St Tropez or St Moris. This one isn’t orange, but it still doesn’t have the green or violet undertone that other tanners do which looks better on my cool-toned skin. Overall, if you’re a beginner, I would opt for a mousse product. I have enough tanning experience to know what spots I usually miss so this has been good for me. before tanologist, I would just use gradual tanning/bronzing lotions but I decided after hearing all about it, I would try tanologist. IT WAS SO WORTH IT. I've used it only twice so far and I'm obsessed. The only small issue I have is the smell but it really isn't too bad. The tan you want to achieve depends on how much you use and how quickly you shower after, so you are in complete control. The first use, I didn't use as much and I showered after three hours and I definitely saw results but they weren't drastic. The second time I used, I left on for about 8 hours (overnight) and I saw beautiful results!!!! I use my hands to rub in and I didn't have any splotching but I did have an awkward fake tan on my hands (LOL) I washed them right after but make sure you wash and scrub them better than I did!! Tanologist gives beautiful, natural, glowing tan results. I’m a self-tan expert, I’ve tried them all because I’m super pasty white and tan weekly. Tanologist is the best, aside from pro/salon spray tan and easy to apply. The only thing is, it takes 24 hours to really develop. This is not an apply in the morning and be tan that night. I apply after I shower before bed they sleep in it and rinse and moisturize like crazy next day and twice daily after to make it last. The instructions say you can rinse after a few hours but in my experience you really need to give it 8-12 hours to see the best result. It smells ok, not like tanner but more green, grassy and the smell fades as it dries. The tan water dries more quickly than the mousse but only 4 stars because the spray nozzle can clog. I was promised amazing things with this tan, so I’ll start with the good… The colour is nice – the green/grey base stops it getting *too* orange (though there are less orange tans out there), and as promised the smell is pleasant. I’m naturally very pale and the medium was plenty dark enough. That seems to be where the good stuff ends. I always ensure I prep properly for tanning with my shaving/exfoliating/moisturising routine, so that was not the problem. I do have dry skin, so I always make sure to moisturise every day as instructed on the bottle. However, 2 days into wearing this tan, my arms and legs looked absolutely RIDICULOUS. So so SO patchy, I looked like bubble wrap with the amount of white holes that were appearing all over me. So I knew it had to come off… fat chance of that happening. Soaked myself in baby oil for an hour, had a long, hot bath and then scrubbed in the shower. Did not budge. It took THREE showers worth of scrubbing just to take *some* of the colour off – good if you don’t want it to come off, but terrible if you do. I had to wear long sleeves/trousers in hot weather for a week whilst I tried every day to eventually scrub it off. It stained my bedding like no other tan has – baring in mind I didn’t sleep with it developing as I don’t like to stain the sheets with my tans. But even after the first several rounds of scrubbing it was still turning my sheets bright orange. Sadly would not recommend this tan and disappointed that I wasted so much money on it.Emily B.
My daughter and I were willing to spend top dollar on an excellent self tanner to ensure we had a nice, sunkissed glow prior to heading on vacation. The reviews online were great but, we were skill a bit skeptical. Our skin hadn't seen the sun in a while (although we weren't completely pale) so, we spent days trying to decide on medium or dark. It was a tough choice but, we settled on Medium to error on the side of caution. I also added the bronzing face drops in Medium as well. Much to my surprise, the product lives up to all the wonderful reviews. We succeed in achieving our sun kissed glow and I've had several people ask where we spent our vacation and compliment my tan. I even catch people checking out my bronzed legs (because the tan looks that good, not just my legs)! Smells great going on, like tropical fruit, but the next day definitely still smells like all other self-tanners. It's not over powering, but if you're sensitive to that smell just know that you're not getting away from it with this product. Also, it does go on with a warmer green base, but again the next day I feel like it's left me just as orange as other self tanners. It's also not as forgiving in terms of evenness. I have some darker and lighter patches where I didn't get it totally even, so just take your time putting it on. Also, the mitt does seems to leak through to the palm of your hand slightly. The palm of my right hand is definitely tinted after applying with the mitt last night, so just be sure you scrub your palms thoroughly once you're done applying. I've used better mitts though. Overall, it works, it's fine, but not sure if this lives up to the hype and if it's the best product out there.

Great product. I’ve tried almost everything from loving tan and other brands. Caveat that I prefer the ultra dark from the non-express, though this is my backup when I’m going to restock and my preferred is out. It’s nice to alternate between developing time, too. The color after two hours is great, non streaky, deep, and golden. Sometimes I will still sleep in it as I’m used to the 6-8 hour development time of the standard formula. I don’t wake up looking over developed. Exfoliation makes the difference in a poor/good application. Exfoliate properly! This will stain sheets or clothes when wearing. Sometimes I will blowdry on cool or stand in front of my fan to help wirh dressing but it will transfer if not careful. If it’s on sheets or clothing, it comes out still in the wash. Make sure you have a mattress protector under your sheets, too! Use lotion afterwards to preserve.emilee.g
This is a Holy Grail product for sure. I have naturally pale olive skin and this literally looks like my skin tone, but darker. There is not even a whiff of orange in this formula. I have tried Loving Tan 8-hour and this Express formula; there are trade-offs. With any Express formula, after the time passes (2 hours) you RINSE off the guide color (no soap) and the color continues to develop up to 24 hours. Do not apply lotion, and try to avoid water during this 24 hour period. Loving Tan sells the overnight formula in Ultra Dark color, which I prefer, BUT I find the 2 hour formula more convenient. If the color isn't dark enough, just reapply after 24 hours. This product goes on easily with the applicator mitt (also way better quality than drugstore brands) and comes off after a week with a bit of scrub and an exfoliating mitt. In the meantime it fades evenly – EVEN IN WATER. If I use self tanner to go to the beach, I still want to go in the water! This product absolutely lets you do that, it'll just fade without leaving patches. My one and only complaint is that after opening, the bottle leaks if you don't keep it vertical. I still brought it on a plane on vacation though. Nothing a Ziploc can't fix. Just try it y'all.Elle
Like most self-tanners, I am constantly chasing the high of finding *the* perfect tanning product. Problem is, I really don't think it exists. However this is pretty close. I am naturally pale with dark features and warm undertones so the "orange"ness of this product doesn't bother me. I feel like it develops into a solid brown with red undertones. Not to offend anyone, but I don't find that product works well on blondes or anyone with cool undertones. The contrast is too dramatic and it DOES look more orange. All of this said, the product works best if you keep it on between 3-4 hours (any longer I find it can get splotchy) and then sleeping while it develops. The color 8 hours after rinse is amazing. It can be quite drying and can be difficult to exfoliate it off, but it's not unbearable. Just take a hot shower and scrub with a wash cloth and soap. Very fair skinned! Burn easily! I have tried almost every kind of tanning lotions, oils, foams, always turning orange or having that dark fake look around my ankles, elbows, knees. Tried B. Tan Forever and I am sold!! I have followed the instructions, exfoliating, evenly applying, and faithful keeping my skin moisturized. WOW! I like some of this brands other tanners, so I decided to give this one a try. I put it on and slept through the night. The color was very dark when I woke up, but luckily most of it washed off in the shower to reveal a nice tan. I will never use this tanner again though, because it clung very strangely to my skin and looks super uneven. I’ve been tanning for a long time now and have never had this happen. I was exfoliated beforehand, so there was no dry skin for it to cling to. It’s very strange and really unflattering. I’ll stick with their other tanners.Lilly
I bought this on a whom 2 days ago at my local Walmart. I purchased a mitt to apply the product and I have to say it went on pretty easily I followed the directions by exfoliating 1st as it states on the bottle. I actually stumbled across a exfoliating sponge which was inexpensive and did a great job. I got a little braver by applying it to my face as well !!! The results were pretty amazing. The mousse has a color guard so you can see exactly where you are applying . I did not use cream or moisturizer on my elbows ,knees or heels but if you are really dry I would recommend doing that. I also learned a few tricks by watching u tube videos on how to achieve the best results and by adding a few of the tricks i.e. using a makeup blending brush for the top of my hands and feet really worked out to soften and help the look more soft and more real. The only con is after applying the smell is not pleasant it seems to get a little stronger as it drys but overall not as bad as some of the other products I have used in the past. I would highly recommend doing this at night and use an old sheet to lay on as some will transfer off. 8 hrs later after a good night's sleep wake up rinse not scrub in the shower and boom pretty nice results. I have already recommended this to friends and the price is awesome 9.97 and the mitt which is reusable 5.97 exfoliating sponge 2.97 so 19.00 bucks total and tanned for at least 3 days and if you use a gradual tan moisturizer it can last quite awhile. I don't even have words for how incredibly amazing this self tanner is! I've been using ST for many years and have NEVER found one like this little diamond! NO fake tanner smell, NO streaks, NO orange looks or hands(especially if you use powder free gloves or preferably a tanning mitt). The color is super dark and looks like you just got back from say Bora Bora! You can get it at Walmart for a super reasonable price too! All round 10/10!!! Okay so I was very excited to try this, because of all the amazing reviews. I do have to be honest, though. Many people stated that it fades evenly with no patchiness, etc but that Is a full on lie. I’m patchy ALLL over my body and it looks very weird. Thankfully I wear full body coverage at work, but this did not fade evenly or nicely, whatsoever. However, it did do a nice job initially with the coverage and color. I was a bit orange, surprisingly, but it’s fine. Also. It’s not even fading, it’s like straight up peeling off my skin. This is my absolute go-to after trying b tans entire line this summer! Perfect color for my fair pink/red undertone skin. This formula gives me a perfect tan that looks natural. No orange. Dark color on fair skin. This is my holy grail self tan product for the price! I start with face & feet with makeup brush then all over with mitt, sparsely on armpits and outer elbows. Hands with makeup brush again as final step. Make sure to bend fingers to get those knuckle creases. Then I stand in front of my fan for 20 minutes, loose long clothing and go to bed. When I wake up, I shower with dove soap bar to cut the toasted croissant smell as the DHA developed on the top layer of my skin overnight. Smell isn't terrible like other brands or old product. PSA: if your self Tanner stinks/wreaks, it's rancid, throw out and purchase new!!! I can't believe how many times people complain of stinky products they took out of the closet from a year+ ago and still use it, eeewww. At this price point, you can get one of these and be much much happier with it! I was happy to have found this originally at Walmart 2 months ago, to date I've tried every single foam in b tan line and this one is it for me along with, I want the darkest tan possible for even darker summer days. I'm in love with these products! Will be using year round in different shades per season. No more pasty winters for me. Pics are from cold weather to tanned AF in the other. I bought this item thinking it would be an easy alternative to rubbing in self tanner and having to pay for new mitts since this one says it doesn’t need rubbed in. That was a huge mistake, it definitely needs rubbed in and runs so bad. It also is quite orange and dark so it was a huge change compared to my natural skin color, which i was not expecting since it was in the color medium. This self tanner in MEDIUM is my BFF! It's gorgeous and gives a natural looking bronzed golden tan. It's so easy to apply, has a wide angle spray so it's easy to tan your body all by yourself, even your back, back of legs, booty, shoulders. No blending required! It dries quickly and it's inexpensive. I love it and always keep it on hand- travels well and fits in my handbag, bookbag, overnight bag, etc. I recommend it to everyone. If you like to tan at home on the low cost and don't like to worry about blending with your hands or a glove, this is for you!
I was never a huge self tanner fan but with the growing concern of skin damage/cancer its definitely a preferable option to get a tan opposed to salons or direct sunlight. I was still hesitant when about using this, I've only ever had bad experiences with self tanners and I've tried some pricey brands. I was pretty suprised when I actually liked it. I didnt love the application process (as I never do) it's a little messy, stains your hands, and I don't like smelling like self tanner for hours afterwards. With that said, this oke wasn't "that" bad compared to a lot of others I've tried. The scent wasn't to bad. The thing I loved the most about using this though was the results and why I gave it 4 stars. I was noticeably tanner after just one use and the color I got was not orange or fake but rather a natural healthy glow. Loreal has definitely stepped up there game and came a long way.amie.m

I have been using Self tanner for over 30 years. Usually I use a VERY HIGH END Dept store brand. Ive tried other brands over the years, but never got the results that I loved from my "high end brand". Recently, noticed the Bondi Sands line at our Walgreens. Decided to give the line a try. I bought the Dark Self Tanning Lotion, the Exfoliant and the Tanning Mitt. Wow!!!! Was I BLOWN AWAY by these products and results. The lotion is dark out of the tube, like Chocolate pudding! Making it not only rich and creamy, but easy to see where I was applying.\nI used the exfoliant first, of course , and loved it as well.\nNot OVERLY ABRASIVE OR "SCRATCHY" to the skin. Just a nice, light paste to prep your skin for tanning.\nMy results were the BEST LOOKING self tan I have EVER HAD! I am nearly 60 and love the healthy look of a tan, but I burn far too easily in the sun and it can be very damaging for the skin.\nBondi Sands, you have a Customer for life!! I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I love Bondi Sands. Fantastic application. I am half Greek and have always tasted easy. I am an archaeologist, geologist and paleontologist. So for years have worked outdoors. Like my Dad I have a love of the sun. However, I try to be careful and supplement my natural tan with color from your products. As I age, unfortunately, I see sun damage, loss of pigment or white spots. Your products keep me looking good and feeling good and camouflage my flaws. Best results I've had from a self tanner. I've always hated the foam versions because they're extremely sticky & you have to sit like still otherwise it'll streak. This product is cream based so it's very minimally sticky, smells nice, and easy to apply. I exfoliated then applied once out of the shower, then a second later 30 min after as suggested on directions. Went to bed and woke up with the PERFECT tan. Get the ultra dark version. I didn't use gloves as suggested, and woke up with very black hands but it washed away easily with a little scrubbing in the shower. You gotta try this bestiesTabby

This self tanner really works nicely! It smells good. I have used self tanners in the past, but stopped because I felt silly walking around with streaks and it being visibly evident that I used a self tanner. Not this product- no streaks- really it blends in so well! I am fair skinned and this tanner looks fabulous! How to use this self tanner: 1. Shower and exfoliate (if you don't have a scrub you can make one out of bath salts and soap or use a loofah) 2. Apply lotion to rough areas- knees, ankles, and elbows 3. Strip down- and apply – be sure to rub all over (wash hands after about 2 minutes and then continue) 4. Let it dry and relax (***don't continue to rub it while it it working- after 10 minutes of drying let it do it's magic- hands off) 5. Reapply after three hours if you'd like 6. All done… now you look great! Try not to get sunburnt- it will peel off if you do. You will see how it bends quite naturally into the areas that you didn't tan. I've been using this self tanner for a few months now (my first time using self tanners) and I havent been happy with the results. It seems like there isn't a change in my color. After reading numerous reviews however, I think I need to start applying it 2-3 times a week until I see some color. I am pretty pale and went with the medium shade but I think I will try a darker shade. I do have to mention, after reading the numerous complaints about the change in your formula, I am confused. One of the selling points for me on this specific self tanner (besides banana boat being a long time traditional product brand for me) is that there is no guide color. I did a lot of research on self tanners and when companies use a guide color it seems to transfer onto absolutely EVERYTHING! I definately dont want that! I'm not a patient person and font have time to stand around sans clothing while my lotion dries! This product has yet to transfer onto any of my clothing, thank you for that! There isn't an unpleasant smell like some tanners have (although I wish this had a coconut scent) and the formula feels light and airy on my ski, huge plus as I cant handle thick, heavy creams. I didn't even know it came with a tint since I just bought it this summer, so I can't comment on the lack of tint to guide the application ( would be nice tho). But I love that it's easy to apply without a lot of mess, it doesn't smell, it moisturizes my skin, has a nice color, and it's so affordable! I first use it on my face all over, then I use Lovingtan or Bondi with a foundation brush to highlight my forehead, cheeks, and along my jawline (especially along the jowls, lol) and bottom of my neck, as if I was applying bronzer. It beautifully contours my face but looks natural. Also, this hides my double chin and jowls, plus let's me look tanned without a lot of makeup…. very natural and pretty. Of course, proceed cautiously at first! But the best thing I like about this product is that I don't get that "suffocating" , heavy and sticky feeling other tanners give me. This is my second Jergens Tanning Mouse that I bought. I first bought the lighter shade as I’m quite pale and new to tanning. I love these products. I apply with a mit. I watched a lot of YouTube videos as well for tips and tricks and application techniques. It is fast drying. I wait probably 15-20 mins to get dressed after applying but it dries in a few minutes. I don’t feel sticky after either. I have never had it rub off dramatically. I was wearing a tight crop top a few hours after and it rubbed off a little bit in the seam. Yea I believe it has a color guide just so you can see where you are applying it. When you first shower 8-12 hrs later, you may see that come off but it leaves color behind on your skin. There is a little scent left over. To me it smells like freshly peeled potatoes! I know that’s odd but it isn’t too strong to me. Overall great product! I enjoy being tan without the sun damage and possible skin cancer!Cjmlsw
I'm not a newbie when it comes to tanning lotions. I am pale or red when it comes to tanning naturally. Anyways, I showered, shaved, exfoliate, add a little lotions to elbows/knees/ankles and applied the the foam with a mitt. Just like I would with any other tanning lotion I ever used. It was easy to see where you applied which I liked. Yet, later that day my legs were uneven tan (same amount of lotion and circular motions) no water or sweat after applying. To describe my outcome is going out to the garden and getting dirt on you.. some areas have dirt while other areas are still untouched. My tan looks hideous and I had to go out and about on mother's day looking horrible. Lesson learned : don't go cheap on a product and don't always trust reviews as I seen it was 4 stars and decided to try it for myself. Just ask a salon what they recommend instead.
