The product is very lightweight in texture which made the spray on application easy to do on my damp hair. As directed, I used this after every wash. This leave no notable residue or build up on the hair. There is also no interference from this product in styling your hair that I've noticed. I have notice some bulking of my hair so that's great. It is noticeable but not as much as it likely might be with the entire 90 days of use to as suggested. With this as it is i will give it 4 of the 5 possible stars. The instructions say to use the spray on freshly washed, damp hair but I’ve also used it on dry, second day hair without any issues. I enjoy the light minty scent and how refreshing the treatment spray feels on my scalp. The mist is super fine and applies evenly to my hair/ scalp. I like to massage the product into my scalp and roots after spraying it directly onto my hair. The scalp spray is lightweight and doesn’t leave behind any unwanted residue on my hair. After each use, my hair looks like freshly washed hair- voluminous and lifted from the roots. Unfortunately the benefits only last until the next wash. I hardly ever use a product until I empty the bottle. Sometimes I get bored with a product, sometimes I don’t really feel like the product does much, so I will put it on the shelf and forget about it. This was not the case with the thickening treatment! I used it daily and loved what it did to my hair. On top of the long term affects of the treatment, I also loved how it calmed down my root area (which can be a little frizzy) and made my hair feel manageable, shiny, and healthy. This scent is very light and subtle. It did not smell too perfume-y or like chemicals either… The thing I loved the most about this product is it did not make my hair feel dirty or like I had a bunch of product in my hair. I will never buy these products ever again. I used the thickening treatment, growth drops, and root spray one time. It completely changed the texture of my hair, made it rough and hard and when I combed my hair it came out it clumps. I lost about 3-4 inches of hair because of these products. I have been using Nioxin Thickening Spray daily for a year. I also use the Nioxin 3 step kit plus the Night Density Rescue and Hair Booster. I found that this product made my hair look thicker instantly after the first application. I use a generous amount and then blow dry on low heat and low speed. My hair looks and feels thicker and fuller straight away. It feels fuller but not coated or greasy. If I use too much though, it can make my hair feel a bit coated. I have fine, thin curly hair that I've been coloring for years, so I picked the System 3, which is supposed to be for "thin-looking, chemically treated hair". I was initially impressed by how clean my scalp felt after the first use, and it seemed like my hair had more body. In retrospect, I realize now that it was more likely just increased frizziness from the fact that this product was frying the crap out of my already delicate hair. I noticed some hair loss as well, but according to the instructions that's a normal part of the treatment. But the worst was yet to come… After about 3 weeks of almost-daily use, I realized to my horror that sections of my hair in the front (i.e., where most of the post-shampoo scalp treatment was going) had literally broken off at the roots where my colored hair meets new, unprocessed growth. It took me a while to realize this because it seemed to happen over time rather than in one dramatic moment, but it definitely happened post-Nioxin use. So now I have a bunch of short hair on top of my head that will literally take months to grow out, plus the rest of my hair is permanently dry and frizzy-looking, no matter how many conditioning treatments I use. I have used Rusk products before but this hairspray does not work unless you use a lot of it. I have fine hair but I have a lot of it. I don't want to have to constantly keep spraying my hair with a ton of hairspray for it to hold. I am very disappointed in this product. I bought three cans of this and a couple of other brands. I received this as a free trial in an order from Beautylish. I have light blonde, very fine hair. Even though I do have fine hair, I have a lot of it. I consistently use volumizing shampoo and root lifters/products that add extra body to hair. This particular product worked for my hair very well, though nothing about it stood out. My hair never looked flat when I used it, but it was the average amount of body I get with any other product I've used. This thickening spray was also easy to use, and had a pleasant smell. I have been using the Queen for a Day Thickening spray kindly gifted by @influenster and @tigihair. I have thinning hair so always looking to give my hair a boost! It definitely added some volume to my hair. I only applied to the roots the second time as it made the rest of my hair feels dry. Spray it into towel dried hair (I prefer just the roots but you can spray all over) and then blow dry as normal. I would t recommend using hair spray after to get maximum gold so it doesn’t drop out throughout the day. As do all Tigi products it smells amazing ghd makes a good alternative to dry shampoo.katy.h
Did it make my hair feel thicker, YES! Did it add volume and texture YES! My hair is really long, straight and fine and it worked great. I liked it better when I curled my hair as it made it my curls feel thicker and bouncier. However if I wore my hair straight I didn't like the feeling as it felt gritty and it tangled very easily. Overall, it's a great product, but I would only use when curling or if wearing straight apply to the roots only. I am loving the volumizing line of this brand. I tried the travel size kit and love all 4 of the products in it. It included the shampoo, conditioner, thickening spray, and scalp serum. This thickening spray is amazing. I start with the serum and massage into my scalp. Then I use this spray. It doesn't spray a lot all at once, which it nice. It doesn't drip all. I spray about 6-7 sprays all over my head but close to my scalp. Then I massage that in. I use a heat protectant gel and dry my hair with my Dyson Air Brush. I look like I have triple the hair I really do. The system provides so much volume and hold. I don't look like I have a hair helmet… there is movement and tons of shine. I have very thin hair and I have a lot of it, so it is flat unless I clean prep and blow dry it. It gets greasy and falls by the following day, so any volume I get does not last long. Was hoping this would extend the volume on the second day or bring some life to my curls, but if it made any difference at all it wasn't noticeable. 2 stars because my hair is so flat and thin that it may work on other hair types? Used with IGK charcoal dry shampoo, which honestly provides more volume (at the root at least) alone. I suggest using mousse when hair is wet, blow drying, and getting some powder to throw on the root for volume and a texturizing putty for braids/curls/other styles. Then dry shampoo the next day and some more texturizing powder. In the meantime, I'm searching for a good volume spray for a quick pick-me-up (literally) on the day after a blow dry/style to use with dry shampoo, that won't make my hair crunchy, weigh it down, or make it feel too much grosser than dry shampoo does (tall order, I know).Olive
I love that the volumizing ingredients in this product are Nordic cotton and plant protein complex. My hair loves protein and this product does not make my hair feel dry or damaged! That is particularly important to me as I don’t bleach my hair as often anymore. I was excited to try this as I have fine, silky hair that often looks flat, so if I'm going to use a product, I want it to provide some grit/texture and volume. I think it product provides *some* texture but not nearly as much as I would like and I don't really get any volume. It kind of just dries like hairspray in my hair- making it clump together a little. I've tried using just a small amount (which does nothing) and I've tried using a lot (which I felt kind of just weighs my hair down). I've let my hair air dry with it and I've blown it dry with the product in it, and I just don't see any volume or lift at the root. Bummer. I also wanted to comment on the scent. It smells like plastic pineapples. Not bad but I don't love it and I've used other B&B products that smell better. I usually use a mouse that I get from my hair salon to create texture and grit in my hair, and I think I'll keep using that product over this one. This spray definitely thickens hair, but you have to act quickly and begin your blowout right after applying it; it's not volumizing in and of itself, so if you want a bit of lift instead of just denser hair strands the blowout is essential. I did find that it coated my hair and weighed it down a little if I didn't use volumizing spray at my roots, and my hair is medium thickness and straight, but I can see this being difficult to work with if you have curly or thicker strands. I didn't try it with any smoothing products, but I wonder if that might counteract the volumizing properties if you're trying to control frizz while enhancing thickness. I recommend using it sparingly, because it can take on a greasy texture if you use too much. This is brilliant but I don't use it too often…it's laden with alcohol which isn't good for hair in the long run. Previously I tried the B&B Thickening Shampoo which made my hair limp, so I wasn't too sure what to expect with the spray. I needn't have worried! This stuff is pure MAGIC! You only need a tiny spritz on the roots. This product is tricky, here is how I recommend using it. On clean wet hair, spray in your leave in conditioner/ moisturizing products first, then rough Blowdry your hair to about 60% dry, then as you Blowdry your hair, use this product on your roots section by section at the root. A little goes a long way so you don’t need to spray it all over, one spray at the root is enough per section to give you volume and hold that will last for days. If you spray too much, your hair will be hard to manage and hard to put a brush through so just a small spritz is enough! This product Can last you forever!!!! I have been using R+Co hair products ever since I was introduced to the brand by the stylist who cuts my hair and it was love at first spray! I have hair just above the shoulder and the Rockaway spray works wonderfully in my hair! A lot of salt sprays can leave that crunchy nasty feeling in your hair but this does not, I just spray it on my towel hair and I use my fingers to scrunch and the Rockaway Spray does the rest of the work for me. I love this. I am someone who has a lot of fine hair with only a little natural texture, so it gets weighed down by itself and turns sad-looking really easily. I can fix this by blowing it out, but that takes about 80 years and I don't like to use a lot of heat anyway, so I only do it on occasion. But this is GREAT! I spritz it all through my hair after every shower and just let it air dry, scrunching occasionally as it dries. I have very thin hair and some hair loss. Not fun for the lady's but just found your products on line and decided to give it a try. Big yes on this one you hit the jackpot. My hair is fine and thin on the top and it can be very hard to style without seeing through to my scalp.It does make my hair look and feel thicker. I love that it isn't sticky or hard to comb through. Other products I've tried dry hard and my hair breaks just trying to comb through. I have not experienced that with this product.Nila M

This thickening spray is amazing! I have not tried this as a heat protectant spray, I’ve only used this as a hairspray for my curls. I can’t attest to whether this protects as a heat protectant spray, or whether this thickens hair. I’ve worn my hair curly and I already have thick hair! I will say this clumped my curls beautifully!!! The smell is amazing, I got compliments every-time I’ve used this spray. I plan on using this as a heat protectant spray in the future. I think this would be amazing for curly girls who wear their hair in a ponytail or wants their curls to clump! It kept definition in my curls when paired with a gel and leave in. Just got this a couple days ago from #sephora couldn’t hardly wait to try it. I used a generous amount, in sections, on my damp hair (right after the shower….wash day) and let my hair air dry half way, then followed the rest by blow drying it with my on low force, but medium heat. Oh. My. Gawwwww. This stuff is amazing. My hair felt, looked, AND stayed “thick”! It wasn’t sticky or crunchy like most thickening sprays and it smells soooo good. It actually made my hair extremely soft and manageable. It looked healthier, shinier, just overall……beautiful. Now I completely understand why #oribe had products that are a bit pricy; they’re literally top of the line. If you’re a thin haired girl like me….go get this! LOVE! 10/10 recommend and am so happy I decided to give it a shot. Can’t wait to try more of their products.tess.g
I absolutely love this product! You spray it on damp hair, then blow dry to style. Spraying it on my hair did not leave my hair feeling heavy or sticky, and did not increase the drying time. I used a round blow dry brush and ended up with amazing results! I have fine, frizzy hair, so I usually have to style with a straightener or curling iron after blow drying but, honestly, I could just leave it as is. My hair has extra volume, but is also smooth and straight. I’m looking forward to using it again and adding curls to see just how much volume I can get! I will definitely be adding this to my go to products!sara.n

I don’t have thin hair normally but after giving birth to my daughter I lost a ton of hair once all the pregnancy hormone were out of my body. Not enough to be described as thin but definitely lacking volume and thinner then it had been before. Also extremely dull. This product promises to leave hair feeling thicker, fuller and healthier. So I had high hopes that this would bring life back in to my hair. After the first use I noticed how much more volume my hair had. Even my husband noticed how much better my hair looked. I’ve been using this for a couple weeks now and my hair looks and feels so much better. It’s much bouncier. My hair styles better. And my damaged ends feel healthier too. So as for giving hair volume this product definitely does that. It also gives the hair a much healthier feel. I can’t speak on it thickening the hair part because I haven’t been using it long enough but I like the results so far. The Obribe Serene Scalp Thickening Treatment Spray is for thinning hair. It's proven to make the hair feel thicker, fuller and healthier. The lightweight formula instantly pumps hair at the root making the strands look larger over a 3 month period. This product is paraben, sulfate and sodium free as well as vegan, cruelty-free and gluten-free. I have fine hair which has become thinner so I'm always looking for something to help with these issues. This has a pleasing, light minty scent. The product is very lightweight in texture which made the spray on application easy to do on my damp hair. As directed, I used this after every wash. This leave no notable residue or build up on the hair. There is also no interference from this product in styling your hair that I've noticed. I have notice some bulking of my hair so that's great. It is noticeable but not as much as it likely might be with the entire 90 days of use to as suggested. With this as it is i will give it 4 of the 5 possible stars. My take is it does exactly what it says (to some extent anyways) and I would recommend it.Msbhavn
I currently do not suffer from thinning hair but did loose a lot of hair on my sides, towards the front, when I had my daughter almost 9 years ago. I’ve been using the Oribe Serene Scalp Thickening Treatment Spray for about four weeks now. The pink packaging is gorgeous and the embossed Oribe logo on top of the cap is stunning! The instructions say to use the spray on freshly washed, damp hair but I’ve also used it on dry, second day hair without any issues. I enjoy the light minty scent and how refreshing the treatment spray feels on my scalp. The mist is super fine and applies evenly to my hair/ scalp. I like to massage the product into my scalp and roots after spraying it directly onto my hair. The scalp spray is lightweight and doesn’t leave behind any unwanted residue on my hair. After each use, my hair looks like freshly washed hair- voluminous and lifted from the roots. Unfortunately the benefits only last until the next wash. I will continue to use the bottle until it’s empty but I’m not sure if I would splurge on Oribe Serene Scalp Thickening Treatment Spray. I guess only time will tell…SMolina1175
