Best Vaccum For Hardwood Floors (2025 Update)

I've been using this product for a little over a month. My first initial reaction was that this product is just okay. A few weeks later my feelings haven't changed. First thing I noticed was that the battery life isn't great. On regular mode I can get the entire house (minus one carpeted room that's about 120 sqft or so) vacuumed and still have a some battery life left. Our house is about 1500 sqft. What I really dislike is that on the max suction mode the battery lasts about seven to 10 minutes on a full charge. I understand that it is high battery usage but on heavy cleaning and dusting days this is frustrating. After a regular vacuuming session I have to wait another five hours for this thing to fully charge just to use it another few minutes in order to get dusting done which is extremely inconvenient. If Dyson would have made it with the option to work while on the charger / still plugged in it would have made ALL of the difference. I haven't used it on the one room in our house that is carpeted and I honestly don't know if that is even possible with any of the connections. It didn't come with a user manual like all other products electronic products that I have purchased. It did have a sheet that gave you a link to an online user manual but I am more of a paper in my face type of person. I have having to click through links to find what I need. It does come with quite a few connectible pieces. I don't really know what the difference between a few of them are or what they're even called but I haven't had any issues using them so no complaints with those. The item itself is extremely convenient and easy to use. I REALLY wish that it came with maybe a retractable chord to plug in when the batter life isnt sufficient. I think for the price it's not worth it. Overall; three out of five stars, mainly because of the battery life and lack of a proper user's manual.ItsMe

I have been a Dyson owner since early 2005 (I still have that one and it still works). I was using the Dyson V7 Animal until my wife purchased this upgraded one for me. Right away, I could feel and see the difference! With 2 children, a large dog (that never stops shedding), and my wife and I, keeping our house clean is nearly impossible. The Dyson V8 Animal Pro has been amazing and extremely helpful! I only have 3 general complaints about it, which stop me from giving it a 5 Star Review. First, the container becomes full very quickly and having to empty it so often is a little annoying (I know the newer models have addressed that). Second, the stick portion is a little short for taller people like me and I don’t think that adding a second stick would function well not be practical; this causes me to have to lean over while vacuuming, which means my back starts aching. Third, a lack of accessories! There are more attachment tools for my V7 than my newer V8. More directly, there doesn’t seem to be a hard floor attachment option. I have checked their website, but there are no hard floor tools offered for this vacuum (Dyson V8 Animal Pro). I would be particularly interested in the tool that worked on both the carpet and hard floors. Other than that, I really do love this little vacuum.DaBear

This is the second Dyson I have owned. The previous one I purchased at a retailer that offered an extended warranty for purchase. The vacuum stopped working shortly after the Dyson two year warranty. The extended warranty company was great. We sent the vacuum to them and they determined they could not repair it and refunded the entire amount that we paid for the vacuum. The second one we purchased at Costco and they did not offer the extended warranty, but talked us into purchasing because they would take back if we had any problems. Well once again right after the two year Dyson warranty has expired, the vacuum is not working correctly again. Pretty sure Costco won't take back after two years, although I will also complain to them. They are a great vacuum, just a lot of expense for something that lasts only two years. I hope some of the other companies venturing into cordless stick vacuums become successful because I don't want to keep buying a vacuum that does not last.K Wood

I bought a Bissell crosswave cordless max last year for Christmas because this was sold out. Originally I wanted this I did a lot of research and thought the Tineco one was far more advanced considering they had come out at the same time. My Bissell broke and again it hasn't even been a year I did not buy the warranty for it because I thought it would at least last a year. But I decided I'd buy my original choice and I'm far from disappointed. The issues I had with the Bissell I don't with this. Bissell was bad at streaking and would leave a puddle of water behind the brush roller was so soft it wouldn't pick up dried messes larger food bits would be pushed in front of the Bissell instead of being picked up. The Tineco one is streak free has a studier brush roller that makes picks up dried messes easily it is an auto mode machine so it distributes water and detects water never leaves a puddle behind large food objects like dog kibble gets picked up easily. I have a fairly high number of animals and a senior dog who doesn't have 100% bladder control so these machines are used day in day out. I recommend this to anyone its perfect for everyday use light to heavy messes.Alysun Lusty

I chose this thanks to the Vacuum Wars youtube channel. We used to have a Bissell Crosswave but it didn't last long at all. It started to smell pretty quickly and got clogged a lot (dog hair gang!) I assumed it was our habits so we bought a second one and the same thing happened again, even with more vacuuming and better Crosswave cleaning habits. This time I decided the extra money would be worth it and so far it definitely has been! The only con so far: the clean water tank really should be larger. We have a medium house, nothing large or fancy, and we can't even get through a full room (kitchen especially) without refilling the tank.Cam

Overall: I really love it! Easy to use, quick and sufficient; Great for daily use & for family with pet. I do list detailed limitations below but it solves my biggest problem (a quick daily cleanning) so I am still happy. Pros: – Battery is sufficient for 800-900 sq.ft – Capture pet (cat) hair, dust, and small trash on floor; great for daily clean; – Its design makes it easy to move; – Less noisy compared to Roomba/regular vacuum (but still not quite; just relatively quieter) ; Limitations: – The clean water tank is kind of small; requires refill if you use max clean mode or have a slower cleanning process; For dirty water tank, it's enough for cleanning process but usually require to dump all dirty water before its self-clean (so it does not over the dirty water limit) – It has clean gap (about 3cm/1.2 in) on the edge that its brush cannot reach so cannot work for near kitchen cabinet cleanning; also its wide brush design makes it hard to go into corners near toilet; – Its brush is designed not to hurt flooring which means it also cannot do deep cleanning (e.g. clean out stains on tile grout) – Cleaning dirty water tank can be nasty if you have pet and long hair;Ali

This is an extremely lightweight machine. Not just in actual weight, but in the job it does. The motor is not powerful, the spinner is not fast. You do NOT save time using this over mopping. You must go SLOOW, back and forth, several times, over each area on even the lightest of soiled flooring. You must clean as instructed, the spinner, screens, and filter after only a few minutes of use or it will stop working completely. It doesn't do well on tile unless there are nearly flat grout lines. What is it good for? Linoleum, very lightly soiled. Probably to have it charged and ready for a small spill in the kitchen while cooking, then set it aside and know you WILL have to disassemble and clean it before you use it again, even after only a minute or two of use. For $99 it is not worth it. This should be a $39 dollar machine tops.Cutlass275

This thing is terrible. I wanted a shark cross wave but they’re expensive. I looked through the description and the reviews and thought this may be a less expensive alternative. You get what you pay for. We use it 2 X on hardwood floors. We don’t have carpets. The cleaner started spitting out nasty, dirty, smelly water all over the place. It left my house smelling like a septic tank. Yes, we have a puppy that has accidents and we used it to clean up. Aren’t these things designed to clean up messes? We have disassembled it just like the directions instructed. We cleaned every item that was disassembled with soap and water and even a tiny bit of bleach on the roller. We put it back together, turned it on and once again it starting spitting out sewage water. I haven’t touched it since. I was just going to eat the price and use the swifter but the more I thought about it. No, I’m sick of buying things that work maybe once then I end up with expensive junk I’m never going to use. So i bought this yesterday i been eyeing this mop for awhile and read alot of reviews. I was so excited to finally get it as the reveiw were so great. I been useing a reuseable spray mop so wanted to up grade as the mop head gets dirty so quick as a single mom i wanted something more convenient but that is not what i got. I was so disappointed in this mop vacuum. I have real hardwood floor and laminate in my kitchen. This did not clean i had dirty spots on my floor that my mop would have got in 2 seconds. But this thing did not clean and at first im like i must be doing something wrong so i read the book with it like 5 times going yes im doing it right. At first the floor wasnt even getting wet but after holding the button down felt like forever it finally got wet. I had to go over spots so many time for it to even get clean. Went to clean my kitchen and that was even worst i kept going over a spot over and over and nothing. So i got out my spot mop sprayed it with just water and it came up as soon as i went over it. So it wasnt a hard spot to clean but the vacuum did not clean it. only good part of the vacuum is that it sucks up the water nice and leaves your floor pretty much dry. It didnt leave streaks but the worst thing of it is when you turn it on its so powerful that it moves the vacuum forward so hard that your fighting it to go backward to suck up the water. For $200 this is not worth it at all my $30 stray mop does so much better ( but hate that it leaves my floors so wet). Oh also this doesnt not get your floor wet or clean a inch away from the wall or your rugs so couldnt get on the side of floors clean.Amber

Honestly haven’t had any major complaints about the vacuum. We do have kids so we use it probably every other day to 2 days. It’s a compact vacuum which is a plus. The one tiniest complaint I’d have is after going back and forth a couple times there are some items that you would think the vacuum would pick up, but doesn’t. Instead, I use the detachable wand for those odd pieces. I should clarify, the vacuum has picked up 99% of what is seen on the carpet. It’s just those random odd stragglers and it doesn’t happen every time. As for our tiles, I just use the wand to pick up anything necessary then jet swift it but that’s a different product.GL

To start off I would have to say that the Dirt Devil Endura Max Upright vacuum is a high quality performing product. There is very great suction when it comes to pet hair and even popcorn in the carpet that my child had spilled. The spinning brush is adjustable to many settings. Such as bare floor to higher profile carpet. It does a great job of pulling dirt and hair out of my medium profile carpet. It isn't to heavy so when I use the extended hose handle I can carry it from place to place. One thing in was not a fan of was the multi dusting piece. It was a little to bulky to fit into my window seal to get that dirt out. The smaller end was also not long and thin enough to fit into my dryer vent. The dusting piece also added extra unnecessary bulk. It is a nice concept but it isn't as great as the individual pieces. Other than my opinion on the duster, I really enjoy and love my Dirt Devil Endura Max Upright vacuum. If you are contemplating this purchase, I recommend you try this product. Other than marrying my ex husband, buying this vacuum was the worst decision of my life. It is bulky and cheap plastic. Extremely loud and makes my arm go numb from all of the vibration! It has a "hardwood" setting but the brush still spins in that setting, which can scratch the hardwood. I was excited about the pet brush attachment, but is doesn't really work since the attachment will NOT stay on the hose or in the attachment holder, for that matter. It does not have much suction, I feel running a lint brush over the carpet would pick up more! I won't even give this vaccum away because I wouldn't want anyone to hate me!BBB Customer

I just moved into a new apartment and have saved up for this Dyson and it was the best decision I have made. My new place is a 2 bed/2 bath apartment with mostly hard floors and carpets in the bedroom. After going to Dyson’s website and taking their quiz. First, I have to suggest going through Dyson’s website to purchase and not through a 3rd party (Amazon, Target, etc). Dyson offers a price match, you are ensured a warranty, if you wish to get additional attachments, you can know you are getting the correct ones. Next, after know about what model and price point I needed, I was able to look at each machine and pick out the best that would work for me, my cleaning routine, and my home. My Dyson came with so many different attachments (included!!!) but the reason I chose this one was it had different heads for one for each type of flooring, carpet or hard floors. I can remove the wand to make the attachments handheld to clean my couch, add it and a soft bristle head to clean the walls and the top corners next to my ceiling. I could go on and on. This isn’t a vacuum… this has replaced so many different tools I used to clean and, above all, my favorite part, as new apartments can come some lingering bugs, I take the head off and can stay far enough away and still catch and dump the creepy-crawlies. It is my new bug killing machine. As I said, I could write a novel about how much I love this Dyson. It was worth every penny.heather.n

First of all; I have a DC33 for almost 10 years and it is still working excellent, I had repaired a minor cosmetic issue but this is a great tool from Dyson. I really appreciate the thoughtful design of these machines and everything that Dyson produces. This is an outstanding company. Now, we bought the V8 Absolute and we are even more impressed with such beautiful design, with such a great details and mostly with the efficiency of a Dyson. The quality of the VB-Absolute is visible and tangible; this is a great investment and a great tool to implement in our home. I got a V7 in Jan 2019. Initially, and for about 1.5 yrs., I thoroughly enjoyed it. Then my housecleaner told me a charge didn't last more than 10 mins. Because I have another plug-in vacuum, I didn't think much of it at the time. Then I hired another cleaner. She brought her own vacuum so it hasn't been used at all since Jan 2022. Just in the last week, I tried to use it and it only lasted about 30 seconds. I had a very good experience with the website and service person on the phone but I have been advised that a new battery is necessary. If that is correct, I must say that I am disappointed in Dyson. I expected better performance from their machine. For a machine that is 3 1/2 yrs. old and only used perhaps 2 years of that (and not solely because I have another machine), I think the battery should last longer. And, if the cost of the battery is 1/4 of the price of the machine, I think that is even more disappointing. And, it's the cost of the battery + shipping. My carpenter husband has battery powered tools, uses them consistently and has never had to replace a battery. That knowledge doesn't help me. Is it possible that the charging station is defective? At any rate, as much as I loved it in the beginning, I'm pretty unhappy at present. I recommended my vacuum to lots of friends at first but now, I would have to tell them the whole story and what to expect.Bren

Moved from Sweden to US a few months ago and was annoyed with the traditional vacuum cleaner we had here, having having to maneuver a heavy and loud motor and not being able to reach underneath furniture. Was driving me crazy and it felt like it was blowing out more dust than it picked up. The Tritan vacuum is very efficient and I was actually surprised by the high quality and power of the motor considering this is not a very expensive machine. It really does the job and with the included attachments it works for any cleaning need. The only downside to it is that I would have liked the electric cord to be a bit longer for better range, but it works well anyway. Many years ago there was a Swedish brand of Vacuum cleaners called "Elektrolux" and they had a slogan "Nothing sucks like an Elektrolux". I would change that now to "Nothing sucks like a Prolux". 🙂Anthony76

I really wanted to love this vacuum, but will have to return it, in spite of the suction being awesome. The suction is as good or better than my Shark vacuums. I needed a good HEPA canister vacuum that would work well on my hard surface floors, window shades/blinds and walls/ceilings. I was disappointed to find that even though there is a HEPA filter, the bags are not HEPA bags. I haven't determined, yet,if the vacuum is sealed well enough, to avoid dispersing dust back into the room. Additionally, the bristles on the hard floor brush are so stiff and scratchy, I am reluctant to use it on my hardwood floors. Unfortunately, none of my better attachments, from my previous vacuums, fit the Tritan. I need to be able to vacuum my walls and ceilings, but the floor brush is not suitable for that either. I would like to be able to comfortably (and safely) vacuum the tops of door frames and window shades and blinds, without using the extension tube. But , the stiff hose does not stretch and is too short to directly attach the dust brush and reach overhead, to the top of my door frames. Back to the drawing board for me, as the Tritan Canister is just not suitable for my needs.C.B.

I am 69 years old, so believe me when I tell you I have had many vacuum cleaners in my life, from a Kirby to a Miele to the less expensive uprights that just don't last. When I moved and left behind my latest upright as a gift to the buyer of my house, I had to find a new vacuum. One that would last. One that could suck up dog hair from my Australian Shepherd. One that was maneuverable and could also clean my truck's interior. When I saw the ad for the Prolux Triton I was taken by how absolutely cute it is. I love its retro looks, like a 50's space ship with chrome and a sleek shape. I love the design of the retractable cord, its maneuverability and the very very powerful motor. I now have a restored vintage house (circa 1900) which requires a strong machine to eliminate dust. I am very pleased with my Prolux Triton!!Vicki

After a short time of use, I was left slightly unimpressed by this vacuum. I own a similar vacuum by a different manufacturer and there are many features it has, that I wish this Samsung Jet vacuum had, such as a telescoping wand, a spare battery, a stand-alone charging stand, and a bottom emptying dust canister. What I loved the most about this vacuum was how extremely lightweight it is, the suction power, and the low profile vacuum head. I was very disappointed with the battery life of this vacuum, and I also found the pet hair tool (mini motorized tool) to be a mostly useless, battery draining tool. The low profile vacuum head and its powerful suction makes for an excellent vacuum on non-carpeted floors and it picks up pet hair really well. Unfortunately, the tiny wheels on the vacuum head made it difficult to vacuum carpet, which is disappointing for my household since it's a mixture of hardwood and carpet. (It just didn’t glide smoothly across carpet, especially at the higher suction settings.) Additionally, while the low profile vacuum head allows for vacuuming of tight spaces, it really limits the debris size that can be vacuumed up. There are three power levels to vacuum at, low, mid, and max. The mid level does ok but I definitely preferred running the vacuum on the max setting. Unfortunately running at the max significantly reduced the runtime of the vacuum to about 7 minutes, and with only one battery included, this means you're out of luck until it recharges. I did like using the vacuum to reach high spots around the house that tend to collect dust and cobwebs. The light weight of the vacuum and the extension crevice tool made it easy to get to those hard to reach areas without having to pull out a step stool. This is where the lightness of the vacuum really shined, as I was able to go around the entire house vacuuming corners and vents without my arm ever getting tired from holding the vacuum up in the air. Overall, after several days of use, I feel that the performance of this vacuum is just ok / average, especially compared to others on the market. There is definitely room for improvement. Pros – super lightweight – good suction / power – quiet – low profile vacuum head (reaches under tight spots) – brush spool (jet fit brush) is easy to remove for cleaning Cons – non-telescoping wand – emptying of canister – battery life – only comes with one battery – no stand option included (only wall mount) – suction head rides really low to the ground making it difficult to vacuum pieces of debris – small brush spool (jet fit brush) allows for hair to quickly get wrapped up around itKMiller

The Samsung Jet 60 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum is really lightweight and easy to use with only one hand. It comes with lots of accessories making it very versatile. All of the attachments have a button-click system making it very easy to attach or unattach the different accessories on the fly, so there’s no delay in your cleaning. The vacuum has adjustable suction power and decent suction even on lowest setting, but has even more power when you need it. This vacuum is absolutely great for cleaning those hard to reach places both high and low such as corners, under furniture, air vents, ceiling fans, and window blinds. The Jet 60 is convenient for vacuuming your car. For me, the greatest application for the Jet 60 is vacuuming the stairs. Not having to drag a full sized vacuum up and down the stairs is very nice. The product package states that the battery lasts up to 40 minutes. But when I use it on lowest power setting, I get about 24 minutes before the battery gives out. On full suction power, I only get around 6 minutes of charge. The battery charges quite slowly. After a small job of just a few minutes it takes around half an hour to recharge fully and after a job that depletes the battery completely it takes several hours to recharge fully. This means that it’s really not useful for a whole house cleaning, for that you probably need a corded vacuum. But if you had a small apartment or dorm room it might work fine. Otherwise, it’s mainly useful for spot cleaning and small cleanup jobs like vacuuming the stairs or your car. The dust collection bin is a reasonable size given the battery life, you are likely to run down the battery before the bin is full. The bin consists of 3 parts, one of which is a HEPA filter, and is easy to detach, empty, and clean by rinsing with water. There is a jet of air that comes out of both sides of the vacuum. I mention it because I have experienced these jets blowing dust up into the air while cleaning in especially dusty areas or when vacuuming near loose papers, like on a desk, the papers can get blown around. Overall, the Samsun Jet 60 works quite well, but my biggest complaint is the lack of battery life. I’ve owned other cordless vacuums and getting around 24 minutes of charge time is actually pretty good in comparison.Mkru

Samsung really knocked it out of the park with this little guy. Between my wife and I, we actually enjoy vacuuming. We've even had competitions to see who can clean the most before the battery runs down! It's substantially more than I expected for the size of the battery, you can get a few rooms lightly soiled carpeted rooms in! Not just using it at the lowest speed either! (I'm not sure where Samsung gets the "up to 40mins" number, but I think you'd have to be not using any powered attachments, and at the lowest setting to get close to that, caveat aside, it lasts enough for a quick clean on an average house floor or more!) I also was not expecting it would actually pick up much more than an older hand vacuum that happens to have a long wand/sweeper attachment. It actually functions as a "main" vacuum if you're a frequent cleaner, as it handles deeper messes in a carpet that I was not expecting it to even come close to pulling up all the way. (dog and people hair plus some tracked in dirt/sand that was stepped in, took a few passes, but still managed) It's also not excessively loud, my infant daughter is most intrigued by it and watches us intently, whereas she was frightened/we had to put some hearing protecting on her if we wanted to use our "big" corded vacuum. The ONLY downside I have to this vacuum is the charging/mounting unit, which is why I gave it 4/5 instead of 5/5. Some folks do not want to mount a vacuum and just want it hidden in a closet until use, with a battery charger in the corner maybe out of the way. (The charger mount is a neat idea IF you plan on mounting, since you can charge the battery by itself or leave it in the vacuum and charge through the vacuum without removing the battery)GlennT

I've tested a decent amount of vacuums over the last decade. This is the first one I've tested that was made for hard surfaces and I was excited to get it mostly for my wife who always uses whatever other vacuum on our hard floors almost interchangeably as our carpeted areas. While I normally would sweep hard floors and them vacuum up the pile or let our robot vacuum with mop attachment do all the work for me. Setup was a little overwhelming looking at first but not too bad. The whole thing comes in more pieces than I would normally expect to find but the instructions lay out what everything is pretty nicely and after the initial shock it wasn't too hard to figure it out. I put it all together and let it charge over night (it suggests at least 4-5 hours of charge time before the initial use). I'm pretty happy with the steps required to actually use this vacuum. It's mostly a supplement to our robot vacuum/mop. I'm happy with the robot but we usually go around the are and pick up/move everything off of the floor in the entire upstairs before we run it so it's a process. It does a good job but the setup and reconstruction of the area before running it makes us use it far less than I'd like. So having a vacuum that's made for sweeping and mopping that I can easily setup and break down is key. When you want to use this, just fill up the clean water tank with mostly water and a small cap-full of soap. Then you're ready to go. The first time I hit the power button, I was surprised as it kind of drives itself forward. Pretty nice to lighten the load but you're also fighting against that push when your pull the vacuum back again. Overall it was a nice little assist, I think. The vacuum and mop did a pretty nice job of cleaning the floor pretty quickly but it did require an empty and refill of the tanks before I was finished. That doesn't take too long so it was no big deal. After I was done doing the whole upstairs area, the battery still had about 60% left (I was worried because when I first started it up, it looked like the battery was draining very quickly). The nice thing about having a screen with all the information on it is that you can see at a glance how hard the vacuum is working and what battery level is remaining. After you're done the instructions recommend you clean the dirty and clean water tanks as well as the roller and roller protector after each use. This is the only annoying part since you can't really just grab the vacuum to do a quick job and put it back but the cleanup of these things doesn't take too long. The base station does include an auto-clean feature for the roller so you have that going for you and there were 2 additional rollers included with this vacuum so you can always just rotate them if you need to clean one. Apparently there's an app that goes with this vacuum. The instructions just said that you can "perform all functions from the app" but I don't really know what functions those are. I did not download the app and can't imagine what I would possibly need it for. The functions on the vacuum are very minimal and can be adjusted with just a few pushes of the 3 buttons on the vacuum. I just didn't want another app on my phone. The only weird thing I didn't love about this vacuum was how it sat on the charging station. It leans forward quite a bit for some reason. I would expect it to just sit straight up and down but when the head is locked and you place it on the charger the handle leans forward at what feels like a 30 degree angle. Far more than you'd expect. Enough that I thought I was doing something wrong. I couldn't figure out a better way to place it on the charger though so I'm going to assume it's just how it was designed. I got used to it quickly enough but it was a weird thing when I first saw it. Overall, I like the vacuum. It does a good job supplementing our robot vacuum by being easy to get up and running and being easy to break down and clean when we're done (while not needing to break down the entire upstairs before using it since we can move things while vacuuming). If you're looking for a nice hard surface vacuum/mop and this fits your budget, give it a look. I was impressed with it for the most part.swemoney

I never taught about using a vacmop before i was kind of skeptical and it would take me a while to clean my hardwood floors .. was kind of an event to say. Not anymore… thanks to this Tineco Floor One s5 Extreme i’m actually looking forward to do it now. I will attach some pictures to see what comes in the box and it’s pretty straight forward plug and play kind of situation as well with some before and after situation. Everything is very intuitive to use but you can check the book or type the name of it on youtube and they have an interactive video in how to use it for first time. It comes with 2 extra brushes and an extra filter that will come in handy when you’ll wash and let dry the ones that you’ll be using first(about 24hrs) they recommended doing that after each use and you’ll want to do that and don’t forget to empty the messy water each time so u prevent bad odors. The design and features are very modern … it has a voice and a screen that will assist you in your cleaning process. To be mentioned here is the feature that senses the proportion of a mess when on auto and turns gradually the blue light into a red one, sign that you should insist in that particular area till becomes completely blue and it’s scary accurate!!! The stand acts like a support and charger (which will take somewhere 3-4hrs for it to be fully juiced up). They also recommend using ONLY Tineco cleaning solution or just plain water. Make sure you youse warm-hot water with or without solution since will tackle the dirt better. I’m happy with the product and it really saves me a lot of time and does a great job!!!Denisik91

I totally underestimated this machine. When I turned it on, the brush kicked in and almost dragged me acoss the floor! Not really, but I was surprised by how powerful the brush was for such a compact package. This mop is no joke. I'm a busy and stressed-out professional, so lots of housekeeping chores don't get done on a regular basis. I've been meaning to clean the kitchen floor for quite a while — I had food and coffee spills, tracked mud, etc, on the floor in places, and serious grossness under the oven and fridge. I figured that I'd give this machine a workout. It really worked. It took several passes in some areas, but the machine just kept working at the mess until it was all clean. The dirty tank strains out the solid materials to make it easy to dump without clogging your sink. It also uses less water than I would expect, so I didn't have to dump the tank nearly as often as I thought I would have to. The clean tank and the dirty tank have good capacity. One super thoughtful little detail is that both tanks have flat bottoms, so they can be put upright on the counter, and you don't have to lean them against anything like you do with other wet vacuums. I really like how it is as maneuverable as a light vacuum, it does a great job on hard floors and we can also use it on floor mats that aren't too thick. That brush-forward design really gets right up to edges and corners. It is very user-friendly. The display is large, bright and useful, and the voice prompts are really helpful. Even self-cleaning is super easy. I'm just not sure what benefits you get from the app or its wifi connection.Snarltoof

Having purchased two Dyson handhelds in the past, I thought I would give Hoover a try this time around (as I do own a pull around canister Hoover that I've had since 2007 and its been awesome) . Unfortunately, I am left disappointed. If you want a vacuum that won't suck up the smallest of crumbs but rather push them around and shoot them out in every direction causing you more work, clogs up with little to no dust particles constantly, and then get zero help or back up from their customer support, then this is the vacuum for you! Because the vacuum couldn't be returned to store once it was used, I contacted the company directly. They proceeded to copy and paste their "de-clogging" instructions, and then ignored the rest of my emails. I am capable of reading a manual and this didn't help me what-so-ever. I cannot believe they actually advertise this as a PET model, because I am using it for much less dirty jobs than pet hair and/or litter, etc. and it's essentially useless. The only good thing I have found about it is the dual batteries and the battery life. However, that isn't very helpful alone when the vacuum doesn't do its job properly. Unfortunately due to the lack of support from Hoover itself, I will not be purchasing any more of their products or recommending to anyone else.kmitschke

I am quite impressed with my new vacuum. Every detail of it seems well thought out which means a lot in this day and age. It really seems to be built to last a long time. All the electronic parts are protected. I really appreciate the brushless "digital" motor. Every little detail is engineered like the battery and charger LED animations syncing together. It came with a silent 4-amp fast charger that charges fully in one hour. This is even including that it waits to charge the battery until it is the optimal temp so it doesn't degrade faster. Each battery and the whole vacuum have a three year limited warranty. The batteries have built-in smart BMS's that communicate with the vacuum and charger to make sure the cells are within their optimal ranges. I noticed the wheels are multi-piece with rubber tread unlike other vacuums I've seen. The whole vacuum is quite simple and intuitive. The phone customer service was some of the best I've ever had. The packaging was recyclable, even the plastic bags. The regular mode seems to clean better than our old corded Shark vacuum and the boost mode is crazy and like suctions it to the carpet. It gets a whopping 9 minutes of run time on boost mode though. The brushroll head is like 3/4 the width of the Shark's so you have to do more lines. The brushroll motor stopped many times to cool down today while I was vacuuming our nasty apartment's carpet. I needed to swap batteries a few times. I charged the other battery while I was using the other. I got the second battery for free as a promotion and it's very needed. Being a cordless stick vacuum is really quite nice but while it can go all the way under couches the weight is located where your hand is which makes it feel a lot heavier than it is. The hours of online research I did was definitely worth it. It would've been a five-star review but Hoover/FedEx's communication on the payment and shipping was very non-existent. Did lots of research on many different brands/types of battery powered handheld vacuums for auto and coffee cart cleaning. I roast my own coffee, addicted to espresso daily and those things can be a bit messy at times. This vacuum makes very short/efficient work of cleaning everything I put it through. I could tell just by unboxing it that the build quality is outstanding just based on the feel of the materials used, let alone actually charging/using it. The system is very well thought out with every possible attachment needed for all sorts of mild/moderate cleaning jobs. Very compact to get into the most confined areas too. The filtration system is as efficient as advertised as it never loses suction and the actual filter stays spotless due to the design. Super easy to empty the filter container with no mess/inconvenience. Have seen a few complaints in reviews regarding the battery capacity and yes it does fade when being pushed on MAX cleaning, but it does a great/quick job nonetheless. People should understand you simply can't have MAX performance/capacity simultaneously… Both battery packs give good runtime for the use I put it through and charge in a reasonable amount of time and don't experience any sort of low self-discharge when sitting on a shelf unused for any realistic period of time. Nice to have the option to buy more packs as these age as we have had to toss other brands when the battery fades due to it NOT being user serviceable and just dies. Last point I will make is the awesome design of the powered brush roller as it works very well at various angles and being able to remove the brush roller for easy cleaning is ingenious. Most other brands require the debris to be cut/pulled off of that part due to terrible design.Thomas

I’ve never in my life owned a Dyson but I finally decided to splurge and I’m glad I did! Here are my first impressions after getting up at the crack of dawn excited to test it out haha! It’s much quieter than I thought which is appreciated for those early morning cleanups after my toddler makes a mess but my older daughter is still sleeping. That laser is amazing but terrible at the same time…holy lord the stuff it was bringing to my attention was wild. I love the attachments and the one that lets you make it a 90 angle to go right under couches and furniture…chefs kiss. The floor dok is also a really nice feature as I don’t really have somewhere to mount it to the wall. It’s definitely heavier than I anticipated it to be. I do find I’m switching arms a lot so for someone who may be older or limited mobility it may be a bit cumbersome. I don’t hate that you have to press the button constantly to keep it on as it’s easier when you need to stop and go, but I do find it a bit awkward and my hand is a touch sore. I had it fully charged and used it for just over an hour and it’s now dead; I accomplished two floors, two sets of stairs and a couch set in that time. I only have hard floors besides two area rugs which are ruggables, and with the laser brush it has to be on eco otherwise it pulls them up. The other head it comes with does not work at all over ruggables. I don’t have any other ‘carpet’ so I cannot speak to its abilities with that. There are so many attachments this model comes with but there’s no where to store them – I would like to see some extra attachments for the floor dok to store them all. All in all though, highly satisfied with my purchase. I feel as though this is a prime example of “pay for what you get”. It’s a hefty price tag but I suspect this will last me years!Lindz02

This vacuum has the best suction and with 2 golden retrievers I need it but here are the cons It’s heavy and you have to hold in the switch to keep it running guessing this is to preserve the battery. All of the weight of the vacuum as at your wrist and hand and while 4.5 lbs doesn’t seem like much as you are holding it and the on button it is very stressful to your arm wrist and hand. When moving from hardwood to shag (I have all hardwood and two 8×10 shag type area rugs) the beater bar stops and the machine quits working even when you stop and move it to the highest setting so it won’t vacuum my area rugsI can’t even hardly push it through the carpet. I can let it and set it down and pull it. . It will do low pile rugs. Then it won’t stand up on its own you have to lean it on something or never stop vacuuming. I can get through most of my house 1400 square foot with the light before it dies or moves to eco. The head does not easily release to use just the end to get into tight spaces or replace with another attachment. The cord for the battery is actually quite short if you’re hoping to plug it in a closet or hide away place. Sleek as it may seem I don’t want a vacuum hanging up as decor so I’m going to have to add a plug somewhere out of sight. The pros are the light and suction provided you can really get every hair and see all dust if your room is not to bright the light really shows everything I turn down the lights to vacuum crazy I will definitely not buy another and totally regret this purchase for the price it really should come with two batteries and be able to vacuum carpet. I had seen the good reviews about this vacuum and finally ordered it when we moved: our new house had a mix of thick carpet, linoleum, and wood floors and my old vacuum wasn't going to cut it.Best of all – it's really pretty quiet! It seriously feels like a toy since it's such a fun little hard worker. Yes, some things could be better. The cord wrap is a bit awkward. The hook that keeps the cord off the ground is too wide and the cord falls out. But those are minor pains compared to how awesome this vacuum is. One warning: the first time I tried to remove the canister to empty it I did manage to empty the canister all over the floor. Whoops! I have had this vacuum for 15 years, suction is great and never had to replace any filters. I just wash them out once every 2 -3 months, even wash out the canister, the only thing I have done to this vacuum is repeatedly cut hair off the rollers since everyone in my household has long hair except me. I finally am going to purchase new sponge and HEPA filters, the old filters are getting a little rough. This vacuum still works great and we still keep using. Totally worth the price. Plan on keeping this vacuum. I am getting ready to purchase the newer SharkNinja with Duo Cleaning to keep the hair from twisting around the brushes. love my Shark vacuumscsvette

I’ve used MANY vacuums in my life. I’ve used Eureka, Kirby, Bissell, Oreck, Hoover, and several others. This is by far the BEST vacuum. The attachments make sense and are very practical. The vacuum pulls lots of dirt out of the carpet that other vacuums cannot do. I vacuumed my carpet with a Bissell. Afterwards, I vacuumed again with my Shark, the Shark continued to pull lots of dust out of the carpet. I am amazed at the quality. Considering the quality, the price is good!kasi.s

Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum is light weight & really easy to remove the canister from the stick stick. Glides nicely over our entire house which has mostly wood floors and tile, but did well on multiple rugs with different pile heights. It even comes with attachments to clean the stairs, furniture or our SUV & truck. We had a different cordless one but needed a vacuum we didn’t have to worry about running out of battery 1/2 way through our home. The cord is super long so that helps us from having to re-plug every few feet. The dust compartment is simple to empty and clean out with a press of a button. We have 2 dogs and 4 kids so we’re constantly vacuuming, the power is awesome and it’s convenient to easily unload the debris. It’s lightweight too, so it’s easy for me to move around the house without it being a hassle. There is a little downside to it, which is that it doesn’t stand on its own, so you’ll have to either prop it on something or fold it (which is easy) in order to do something else if needed while vacuuming. So I’m taking it down a star for that since I do have to stop and pick up toys etc having kids & pets constantly playing.Heathermthomas

The Shark Rocket Pro, picks up VERY well. The area I first vacuumed with it, was a area that had been vacuumed the day before. Within five minutes, the Shark had picked up A LOT more. The vacuum was easy to assemble and the attachment comes apart easily to be able to vacuum the ceiling and other had to get to areas. The Shark glides across any floor easily and turns easily. The only drawback I found with this Shark machine was the motor was near the top of the handle and it made the machine top heavy. It doesn’t stand on it’s own. There are two small attachments that didn’t have anywhere to attach to the machine, that I could find. But, as well as this machine works, I find these to be minor problems. As you can see from the photo, it picked up quite a bit after only a five minute vacuum. I have animals and cleaning hair has always been a problem.adcatex6

This Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum works GREAT ! I really like how light weight it is, I can very easily maneuver it around the house with little effort and let me say how GREAT it picks up all the dirt and debris from my floors. My carpets are much cleaner/fluffy and my hardwood floors are cleaned better than when I sweep. I am very excited and satisfied at how much debris/hair/dust/dirt was in the debris container. This vacuum has PLENTY of attachments that I can use on my stairs and I'll even be cleaning my curtains and window seals. As small as this vacuum is, is does the job QUICKLY and very EFFECTIVELY, much much better than my current canister vacuum. This Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum is much quieter and very stronger in terms of suction than ANY vacuum I've ever owned. I went from 45 minutes of vacuuming to 15 minutes, WHAT A GREAT IMPROVEMENT ! Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend the Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum if you want clean floors with little effort AND multiple attachments that can simplify and clean the most hard to reach places and other areas.liljayp

I purchased this from QVC on april 25, 2021, When I got it, I was thrilled–it performed like a dream and I could not imagine having a better vaccum. One year later, the device that holds the unit upright broke; a couple weeks later, the ability to utilize the floor/carpet option failed, so I had only one speed. Today, the brush rolls stopped rotating. I contacted Shark, thinking I had a 3 year warranty, only to find out it is a LIMITED warranty and does not cover the base unit that is experiencing all the problems. I was told they could send me a replacement unit for $95, which is nearly half of the original cost of the unit when I purchased it new. I declined, and was then told that I could have the replacement base unit for half price, as part of the "Limited Warranty." Needless to say, I am disappointed that Shark does not fully disclose it warranty practices. It seems that every time I see one of its infomercials on TV, the President of the company is constantly raving about how Shark stands behind its products. I will have to do some deep thinking the next time I purchase a new vac, as I have felt somewhat betrayed by the organization and its warranty practices.bucksfan

I’ve always heard people talk so highly of Shark Vacuums. I was so excited when I bought this. I was gonna get it home and my floors would be so clean,I’d be one of those people that people would compliment on how clean it was. Now, I’m not one to write scathing reviews and I’m always the first one to say that that one person out of hundreds that gave something one star is probably being dramatic, but Today I have to be the one person, even if y’all are gonna think I’m dramatic. So here we go. Don’t waste your time. This is the worst vacuum I’ve ever seen in my life. And I’ve seen quite a few (my mom had a vacuuming problem as a kid. We would go through one a year because she would wear them out so quick). Anyways where do I begin. It advertises as a pet vacuum. Which was a selling point as I have several cats and dogs. But it only picks up a piece of cat litter if you’re straight on top of it on hardwood floors and forget about it on carpet. As far as hair, it will pick it up from the carpet but it doesn’t suck it up so it leaves chucks of pet hair behind it as if it was Hansel and Gretel going into a forest. If it does manage to pick up the hair, it gets stuck in the hose so any piece of dirt that get sucked up behind just keep packing into the hose. I feel like if it was a person I’d have to give it the Heimlich maneuver it was so clogged. So every time I used it it would get clogged and I would open up the part that’s designed to be the there if something got clogged (I didn’t realize I would have to use it so often) and when I opened it dirt would naturally spew out everywhere so I would clean it out, put it back together, and now I would have to clean up what just spewed out of the vacuum which would just turn into a vicious cycle. This has happened every single time I have used it in the last six months. I’ve finally gotten so frustrated with it that I took it into the basement and slammed it against the cement wall until it was in several pieces. And you know what? I bet know it will work just as good as beforeKristin

I've had a few vaccums over the years but felt it time to invest in a pricer model and am very happy I did. It has great suction. Attachments that work removing fur from my furniture. Use it as a regular vacuum, wand or hand vaccum, with a easy step release from the main attachment. Easy to empty and clean, with cleanable filters, and so far, the main attachment is as advertised and hasn't tangled up with hair. 2 small but surprising features I love are light on the main attachment, and the hinged cord hook. I thought the light was silly at first but I never knew how much I was missing while vacuuming on sunny days or with all the lights on, but the vaccum light really illuminates. While the cord hook rotates 180° to allow removing the cord bundle in one go, versus unwrapping it off of both hooks. I own a rabbit, and the only short coming I have experience is that the main attachment can have difficulties picking up bigger debris like, wood shavings and rabbit dropping. I attribute that to the debris not fitting under the brush than the vaccum not being able to suction it up. Regardless it still deserves 5stars as I love this vaccum and would buy it again.Kara

I just purchased this product and have used it one time. Set up was a breeze and it charged quickly. The vacuum works very well. I have Pergo floors in light oak, so they don't show dust, but do show dirt and debris. The vacuum had no problem with any of it, including onion skin. The mop part works well as a cleaner. I have some dried on liquids it would not remove, but neither would my Swiffer, which this replaces. But the problem is, the cleaning fluid, once dry, leaves a filmy residue that dulls the Pergo. Under the right lighting, you can see where the liquid was and where it wasn't. I tried buffing it to no avail. It remains to be seen if walking on the floor with buff it out. So as a vacuum and mop, it works. But that residue from the cleaning fluid is barely acceptable. Your results may be different. But I'll be keeping it because if does the job and I will use it more often just for the vacuum. I may forego the mop.lochnez49

I got this in hopes of making it easier to clean my floors with something that is an all in one. But I will be returning it. It is nothing more than a glorified swiffer. The pads are disposable. You even need a pad to do the vacuuming and you can only vacuum in one direction because that's where the suction is. So it takes twice as long. Then the pad is extremely dirty afterwards and you're supposedly supposed to use the same one. Why would I use the dirty pad to then mop with? I wouldn't. So I had to use a new one. Once that pad is wet it begins to flop around and you have to apply pressure to get it to stay in place while mopping. Applying more pressure and holding the vacmop a certain way will in turn cause back pain. The compartment for the liquid also does not come off. So you need something to use in order to pour the water into it. Just bad overall execution on this. I would not recommend and I will be returning. I bought the mop system from my shop club which has reusable pads. Yes I will have to sweep or use my regular vacuum beforehand, but it will still take less time than fighting with the vacmop.Mindy Burnette

When I told my husband that I was getting the Shark® – IZ862H Stratos™ Clean Sense IQ, Cordless MultiFLEX® Vacuum with DuoClean® PowerFins™, HairPro™, Clean Sense IQ, and Odor Neutralizer Technology, he said, “What? Another vacuum cleaner?” We do have several vacuum cleaners. I told him that this was different. This was going to be our first full-sized, cordless vacuum that could double as a handheld with attachments, and had a HEPA filter. We love our little cordless handhelds, which are great for quick clean-ups. But we end up using them for much more than they were meant to do, like vacuuming the whole kitchen floor. It is kind of stupid to be bending over and sweeping back and forth with a little handheld, just because you don’t want to drag out the clunky, corded, ‘big’ vacuum cleaner (even though it does a much better job). So, when the Stratos arrived, I couldn’t wait to get it out of the box and plug in the charger to charge the vacuum’s large lithium battery. I assumed (correctly) that the battery takes a few hours to fully charge, so in the meantime, I got out the Quick Start Guide and laid out the components, which consist of the Handheld Vacuum, the Removeable Lithium Battery, the MultiFLEX Wand, the DuoClean PowerFins Floor Nozzle, and the accessories, which consist of the Li-ion Charger, the Odor Neutralizer Technology Cartridge, a Duster Crevice Tool and a Multi-Angle Dusting Brush. I immediately plugged the charger into the battery and plugged the charger into a wall outlet. The Quick Start Guide is very brief, so I scanned the QR code at the top of the Quick Start Guide page to get the URL (web address) where the full Owner’s Guide is located and downloaded it. I then proceeded to setup the unit by inserting the Wand securely into the Floor Nozzle and then inserted the Handheld Vacuum into the top of the Wand, ensuring a tight fit. As per instructions, I removed the Odor Neutralizer Cartridge from its packaging, flipped up its dial handle and aligned the teal-colored arrow on cartridge with the matching teal arrow on the Floor Nozzle and inserted it into the receptacle and rotated until it clicked and engaged. You can rotate the cartridge to change the intensity of the fragrance. Put together, the unit is very sleek, attractive and thoughtfully designed. The parts fit extremely well. The overall weight of the assembled unit is easily managed. Finally, the battery was fully charged. I clicked it into its receptacle on the back of the Handheld Vacuum and excitedly pressed the power button. The Stratos started, sounding powerful, but not too loud. There are three settings, which you can change with the ‘propeller” button at the top of the unit – ECO, Clean Sense IQ, and Boost. It defaults to Clean Sense IQ and that is the setting on which I left it. I started in our combination Living Room / Dining Room. The Stratos did a great job on our carpet. The Clean Sense IQ function worked well, adding more power when ‘heavy’ dirt was encountered, which you can see visually on the display on the top of the DuoClean Floor nozzle. I was so pleased to find that with the low profile of the DuoClean Floor Nozzle and the flexibility of the MultiFLEX Wand, I was easily able to get under the low opening of our couch and all the way to the back. Also, I didn’t have to move all the furniture at the dining room table, because I had no problem vacuuming under the the low bars of our dining room chairs, saving me much heavy work. The swivel of the DuoClean floor nozzle also allowed me to go around the tight corners of the table’s legs with ease. By the time I was done with that large area, I had only used 10% of total battery power and was at 90%. So then, I did the foyer and the kitchen, which brought it down to 80%. Then I decided to remove the Handheld Vacuum from the unit and inserted the Multi-Angle Dusting Brush for some dusting. This brush attachment is my dream design. It covers a relatively large, flat surface area, but with a narrow, very low profile and very soft brushes. It is perfect for getting under low profile items such as the openings at the base of my table lamps and getting under the TV’s to those previously unreachable areas. The attachment also swivels, so it makes it very easy to get around items that previously had to picked up and moved out of the way. I am in love with this brush! After dusting all the top and bottom shelves of my two end tables and of my sofa table, and dusting my Living Room TV stand, my fireplace mantle, my Dining Room sideboard and table, I proceeded to vacuum the whole outer stringer of my staircase. The battery was still only down to 60%, but by now, the Dust Cup was very full. My husband, who was thrilled that I was so excited about using the Stratos, volunteered to empty the Dust Cup. This is my third Shark vacuum but my first cordless model and I have to say I am just as impressed with this as I was with my previous corded model. The Stratos comes with one battery which had a partial charge out of the box and required charging before my first use. The battery is rated for 60 minutes however, this is measured using as a hand vac in “eco” mode. I found using the brush roll in “Clean Sense IQ” mode which is the default, I averaged about 30-40 minutes of actual run time which was more than enough to clean my home. There is a digital display on the handle that shows the battery level. For the price though, I would have liked to see a second battery. The Stratos has three modes, Eco, Clean Sense IQ and boost. I have to say while it's been effective, the Clean Sense mode is a bit disconcerting as it continuously adjusts the vacuum speed while you are using it. You can see via a light strip on the brush head how much dirt the unit is sensing as you are cleaning. I’ve noticed with frequent use this does level out a bit from the first time I used it to clean with. The Eco mode worked well on my hardwood floors while still easily picking up wafts of dog hair. I really like the two brush roll system Shark has been using for a while now. The Stratos has a self-cleaning system that keeps the brushes from getting clogged with hair and I can say with three shedding dogs, it works great. I also like that you don't get the snow plowing when picking up larger piles of debris, it just pulls it in and sucks it up. The brush head has LED headlights that work well for seeing under furniture which is easily accomplished by the flexible wand. The airflow (suction) of the Stratos is excellent, even in Eco mode – picking up everything. I also like the odor neutralizer feature which is a small scent cartridge on the brush head. You can adjust the strength of the scent and I find that even on the lowest setting it adds a nice amount and isn't overpowering like some deodorizers can be. Like most if not all new vacuum cleaners, the Stratos is bagless. The dust cup is easy to empty – just remove the brush head wand and press the lever to open it. The conical shape of the metal filter inside allows the hair to slide off easily and I didnt have to put my hands in the cup to get it totally empty like my older Shark. There are three reusable filters as well. The Stratos comes with two attachments, a crevice tool with the sliding brush and dusting brush allowing it to be used like a giant dust buster. It works well. Overall I like the Shark Stratos Cordless, I think it stands up to it’s more expensive competition and would recommend it.RonH

The new Shark Stratos Cordless Vacuum with Clean Sense IQ debuts, and comparing it to another Shark stick vacuum, this model does it all. From the "air freshener," you can install on the head of the vacuum to the dust container, the vacuum features the same attachable cleaning heads but with a new feature that is a game changer. The new feature is the option to unlock the "under furniture" mode, where the vacuum bends and glides underneath beds, dressers, you name it; to vacuum those hard-to-reach places (without having to get on the floor). Pros: Motor Modes "Under-Furniture" Feature Brighter LED headlight Room Refreshing Pod Ease of Use Cons: Charging indicator Cleansense IQ Knowing that Shark continued their successful self-cleaning brush roll stick vacuum heads that did not get tangled with hair was a breath of fresh air. With the three dogs I have in my home with long hair (that seemingly falls out everywhere), the Shark Stratos' self-cleaning brush roll was able to vacuum everything on the lowest motor mode without hair tangling (or getting caught). However, if you are unsatisfied with the power the Shark consumes, you can turn down the motor to conserve battery and vacuum longer in "eco" mode. Though, when I used eco mode, I had to go over several spots again due to the suction not being as powerful. Yes, I received a longer charge (roughly forty minutes), but I had to vacuum the same spots often due to fine dog hair still on the floor. There is a "high" power mode that vacuumed dust and debris off of my floor (you could see dust being removed,) but the battery drained in twenty minutes of use. The best and most consistent mode I found was using the vacuum as its intended mode when you first turn it on. Speaking of turning the vacuum on, the Shark Stratos displays an LED battery life indicator right on the base of the vacuum. The battery life indicator made it easier for me to see how much power I had left compared to previous models. Additionally, the much brighter (than previous models) LED head illuminates the floors to reveal more debris, hair, and dust that I could not see well before. One of the strongest features is the new MultiFlex wand technology, which allows you to bend the wand at a 90-degree angle and vacuum underneath furniture. The ease of pressing the "lock" button on the vacuum wand and bending the vacuum made the transition from upright to floor easier. While turning on the highest motor mode, I saw dust lift off the floor, and I placed the vacuum underneath a dresser and bed without having to get down on the floor. Also, when you finish vacuuming under your furniture, you snap the vacuum back into place to continue vacuuming at an upright angle. The Shark Stratos includes two detachable heads to vacuum in hard-to-reach corners as well as surfaces. These are the same heads on previous Shark models, but with the motor control (on the highest setting), I collected more dust on surfaces such as furniture and entertainment furniture (such as speakers). Shark continued to provide an easy trap door to empty contaminant containers (after you vacuum), and the new "pod" room refreshing technology made it easier to exchange used filters. Previously, refresher filters were specifically installed inside the vacuum base. However, the new pod twists to lock or unlock, thus making it easier to exchange used room refresher filters. With all the features, including the new LED battery-life indicator, the vacuum does not utilize that display to show you what percentage of the charged battery when plugged in for charging. However, ambient light on the side of the vacuum flashes to indicate the vacuum is charging. What Shark should have done was utilize the LED display to show you what percentage the vacuum is at (charging-wise). The new Clean Sense IQ technology on the Shark Stratos is novel on paper. Yet, I saw it fail on the hardwood floors of my home. The light indicator on the head of the vacuum will increase sensitivity and suction when it detects a lot of debris on the floor. However, when I vacuumed back and forth in the sensitive spot on my floors, the IQ sensor would turn off immediately. The point of the IQ sensor is to increase power and notice when it detects debris, but I found that sensor to activate when nothing was present on the floor. Although not a deal breaker for the Shark Stratos stick vacuum, the technology idea of sensing dirtier floors and visually telling you when the floor area is clean (with the light indicator) misses it for me when it turns on and off at-will. Overall, the Shark Stratos Cordless IQ Sensing technology vacuum is a new, improved, and added technology. The flexible wand allowing you to vacuum under furniture saves you from having to crawl on the floor. Additionally, the Shark Stratos offers powerful suction in various modes per the user, with an (although fussy) IQ sensing technology to tell you when your floor is clean. You can override any of these settings, adjust room dividers, define no-go zones, zones only for vacuuming or mopping exclusively, and more.  I don’t need to move my mats off the floor in the kitchen or the bathroom, pick my shoes up off the floor if I don’t want to or that shirt sitting over in the corner, I don’t have to worry it’s going to get stuck under at the bed because it does a great job navigating whatever it is under the bed and not only does it do a great job it identifies by taking a picture of whatever item is under there, and with a percentage of certainty it can assess what that item is not always great by does a pretty darn good job. It is by far, as other reviewers have noted, leaps and bounds …. ARTEMIS SIZE… GALACTICLY SUPERIOR to ANY other vacuum. And then, to add an amazing mop that is utilized simultaneously with the vacuuming feature, and the ability to customize from a light mop job to a extra duty session— YESSSSS nailed it in execution, nailed it in design, and nailed it in understanding the deficiencies of the current technologies on the market, and then bring the technology market 🙂 Summarized, and in general, I have been pretty darn critical of most of them tech purchases in the past 10 years because of shifty retailers, manufactures, ad campaigns, all implying, amazing features and benefits that blend into a disappointment and waste. If not a complete failure. It’s usually what is implied by the manufacture, but not stated that leaves disappointment in execution. And then, of course, there are the glaring issues, confronting consumers in the marketplace by way of the retailers, not Best Buy that don’t care about the customer enough to mandate that pro product descriptions are actually in English enough to understand but to me that basically means that a manufacture doesn’t really care about the American consumer at all because if they did, they would find somebody who speaks English enough to write a manual for whatever product and to write print and advertise that product in a way that respects the customer and doesn’t make them have to read between the lines or reword, poor grammatical errors, because of a lack of regard that upsets me more than anything so I’m very glad to have retailers that are still around like Best Buy where I know specifications for a product are going to be the specs for the product. Anyway, the bottom line is, this is a win. I’m pleased, and I have not been pleased in the product and I can say this pretty certainly in a very, very long time, so great job, Robo rock. You know this industry segment is still very young when the best robot vacuum by far which is this S7 MaxV Ultra has quite a few areas to improve on but all in all. I LOVE IT! This is advanced AI coupled with top level engineering at its finest for robot vacuum cleaners. At this point, Roborock is Roborock's biggest competitor – however, there's def room for improvement. Below is everything the bot does really well that are selling points. For the "Needs to improve" I'll indicate whether these are software fixes or hardware changes which means you'd have to wait for the next version and hope the changes are built in as part of the bots physical hardware component. Best Features – Intuitive UI & navigation software packed with useful features (3D map, 2 way calling, etc) – Ability to auto fill bot with water, auto empty dustbin and wash mop – Great battery life (my experience) – On board video camera to see where bot is cleaning – Carpet detection feature with mop auto lift – AI obstacle recognition, avoidance & tagging – Room recognition with machine learning capabilities. – Various cleaning configuration settings Needs to improve – Show water levels in app (hardware fix) – Increased suction doesn't do much for carpets. Still misses threads and small particles from time to time. My house can be pretty hectic- we have 4 (soon to be 5) young kiddos, 3 puppies, and 4 cats. Cleaning is something that happens all day long, pretty much constantly. One of the biggest pain points is keeping the floors clean because try as we might, if our youngest isn't trying to eat something off the floor, the puppies will. Enter the Bissell Surface Sense Upright Vacuum. This thing has legitimately been life changing. If you have pets, I'm sure you have fought with vacuuming, or sweeping, up their hair. As soon as you get close to it, the hair blows away. Not with this vacuum. I don't know what kind of magical technology they put in this thing but it actually attracts and vacuums up the hair, it doesn't blow it away. Additionally, something both amazing and quite terrifying, the light on the front of the vacuum makes hair and any sort of floor debris stand out like it's a beacon. It makes it super easy to ensure that all the hair and debris is cleaned up because you can't help but notice it with the light. It's terrifying because it shows just how much hair is truly shed, which is way more than you initially imagine. I should note that my floor is probably 75% hardwood, 15% vinyl planks, and 10% carpet. The way this thing changes the height of the brush automatically is phenomenal. I can move from room to room with such ease. I have another pretty high end vacuum ($500) and this one beats it every single time. I can vacuum an area with my other vacuum and then go through with this one and the amount of stuff it picks up is phenomenal. The one and only downside to this vacuum is that it does not flatten/recline back very far so cleaning under tables and chairs can be a challenge. You can use the extension and the attachments to reach these areas, but it would be way more convenient if you could just do it with the vacuum. I received the Bissell Surface Sense Upright Vacuum as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel program. Bissell has always been a favorite brand for floor care but this tops them all! The Bissell Surface Sense Upright vacuum is intuituve, by sensing between hard floors & carpet. Making it a breeze to vacuum all your floors, & even gets the debris along edges well too. Or this function can be switched off to run the brush continuously. It almost drives itself & takes little effort to push around the house even on the thickest of carpets.The handle can be removed to expose the wand for the versatile, convenient, & very useful attachments. My favorite is the uniquely shaped crevice tool that also has a led light that helps you see those hidden places, & get them clean. But I absolutely love the tangle free brush roll. Despite having a long hair dog, 3 adults with hair to their waist, & 5 young kids, I never had to pull hair from the brush, & only had to empty the canister, as I despise cleaning hair. The canister is big enough to vacuum multiple rooms, & is simple to remove to dump without leaving a mess behind. When removed, you can also access 2 different filters, one on top of the canister, on underneath which makes for an ultimate clean. It also has suction control on the handle which makes it convenient to switch to the best settings for different areas. Overall, it is very accessible, & versatile making an upgrade on performance, & design that makes this Bissell Surface Sense Upright Vacuum, the best Bissell yet!Carollucy303

Since they haven't responded to multiple requests regarding 2 issues that make my Hydravac unusable, this review is ALL about their customer service. I'm left with a wet dry vac that is useless. When your teenage kids say they want to clean, then you know you're purchase is a success and worthy of a five star review. I have used the standard broom and pumped up cleaners with pads. Name it, and I've tried it. This Hydra Clean has saved me so much time and arguments. I received it, read the instructions, charged it and put her to work as soon as it was fully charged. It is highly recommended to read the instructions to get the entire experience from the Hydra Clean. It has voice commands which are very sophisticated and techy, so it's like an interactive experience when you clean. On the upper part of the device it has icons which tell you battery life, running time, and provides the self cleaning time needed when you have to clean after moping. I have wood floors, tile and rug so I was able to use it on multiple finishes. The battery life is good for about 30 minutes. I don't mind how long it lasts because it is worth not having a cable to plug in and plug out. As a vaccum, it performed above my expectations. Usually with these types of two in one models, one feature works better than the other. We have 2 Frenchies in the house that are tan in color. You can't really see how much they shed until you actually have to clean it. The vaccum feature picked up all the hair, where with my standard broom sweeps it up but the flying of these tiny hairs are stubborn and frustrating. So I am replacing a handheld vaccum, a full size vaccum and a broom. Less clutter and cables. As a mop, score! I can mop and vaccum at the same time. That's half of my cleaning time. I've had the fancy pricy pads with a squirting feature. With those you have to be careful how much you spray, we're you spray and wait, change the pad, and repeat. With the Hydra Clean you don't have to do all that. It doesn't squirt all over the place and it dries right after you have used it in an area. You also have the control of how much water you want to use, it is not a one squirt fits all model type. I don't have to go clean a pad or wait around for my floors to dry. Before I had to barricade the area because either a dog or a human messed it up. It also has a timer for the self cleaning. This is a feature which I've never has before even when I had the very high priced ones. The other ones don't do this and the water gets really yucky and smelly too. With these moping features I have replaced the traditional mop and my other picker upper with pads. Overall, I'm very pleased with my Hydra Clean based on the performance and the feedback I received when my kids said they wanted to clean. I'm on my second return in three months. I love this machine… when it works. Like others have stated, after just a few uses there's a burnt smell and a grinding noise before the brush eventually stops rolling. We took both machines completely apart to thoroughly clean them, but cannot get the noise to stop. It's between the little rubber belt and the part where the roller attaches to the machine. Theres no dirt, hair, or other debris trapped. Not sure what the issue is, but I really wish they'd fix this. If you vacuum up hair, you have to clean it out pretty quickly or it will leave muddy puddles on the floor. It is a great product while it lasts. Also the battery charge could last longer, but it has bigger issues to handle, like actually out-lasting it's return policy.Kristen

I had the original IF200 model that the head unit started making a noise like a grinding. I called Shark and they replaced it under warranty with the new model IF80. I was excited as they replaced the whole unit and very quickly. After first use I was disappointed as it left a lot of my dogs hair on the carpet. I thought maybe I missed something in the instructions, so I re-read them, checked the unit in case I missed packing material. Did not miss anything. My housekeeper stated she didn't like the new vacuum because it wasn't cleaning the carpet. I went and grabbed the old units powered floor cleaner and went over the carpet again and that unit picked everything up like before so whatever they did with the powered floor unit is what is bad. Again great warranty bad vacuum.Bruce

I do not normally write reviews but am making an exception. I love this vacuum. It is very cleverly designed to bend to get under furniture, and also fold up for storage. It is not necessary to use a docking station to charge the unit, which I find helpful since I have no wall space for a docking station, and I can charge the battery and store the unit folded up under a counter. I find the unit to be quite light, compared to others I have looked at. Also, you don't need to hold a trigger to get it to go (a poor feature on the Dysons). It comes with 2 batteries so you can be using one and charging the other. One battery is enough to vacuum most of my house. It is easy to empty the dirt cup.. I find it has good suction, and the "carpets" function is particularly effective. All over I am very happy.Princess Nasturtium

I've had this vacuum for about a month now, and I love it. I currently reside in about a 700 square foot apartment with carpet in the bedroom and walk-in closet and hard surfaces everywhere else. I can do a full, slow, methodical vacuuming of the whole apartment 3 times on 1 battery (not using the ion mode). The different brush speeds work great for switching between hard floor and carpet. I find myself vacuuming at every chance I get just due to the convenience of this unit. The included accessories such as the crevice tool and detail kit make vacuuming anything a breeze. The flex makes vacuuming under coffee tables, chairs, and beds simple. The only minor complaint would be that the dust bin is small, and dust seems to stick to it to the point where you need to reach in and pull it out to empty. That minor concern doesn't really bother me, but it's worth noting. Overall, I would 100% recommend this vacuum.BRIANB
