I’ve never in my life owned a Dyson but I finally decided to splurge and I’m glad I did! Here are my first impressions after getting up at the crack of dawn excited to test it out haha! It’s much quieter than I thought which is appreciated for those early morning cleanups after my toddler makes a mess but my older daughter is still sleeping. That laser is amazing but terrible at the same time…holy lord the stuff it was bringing to my attention was wild. I love the attachments and the one that lets you make it a 90 angle to go right under couches and furniture…chefs kiss. The floor dok is also a really nice feature as I don’t really have somewhere to mount it to the wall. It’s definitely heavier than I anticipated it to be. I do find I’m switching arms a lot so for someone who may be older or limited mobility it may be a bit cumbersome. I don’t hate that you have to press the button constantly to keep it on as it’s easier when you need to stop and go, but I do find it a bit awkward and my hand is a touch sore. I had it fully charged and used it for just over an hour and it’s now dead; I accomplished two floors, two sets of stairs and a couch set in that time. I only have hard floors besides two area rugs which are ruggables, and with the laser brush it has to be on eco otherwise it pulls them up. The other head it comes with does not work at all over ruggables. I don’t have any other ‘carpet’ so I cannot speak to its abilities with that. There are so many attachments this model comes with but there’s no where to store them – I would like to see some extra attachments for the floor dok to store them all. All in all though, highly satisfied with my purchase. I feel as though this is a prime example of “pay for what you get”. It’s a hefty price tag but I suspect this will last me years!Lindz02
This vacuum has the best suction and with 2 golden retrievers I need it but here are the cons It’s heavy and you have to hold in the switch to keep it running guessing this is to preserve the battery. All of the weight of the vacuum as at your wrist and hand and while 4.5 lbs doesn’t seem like much as you are holding it and the on button it is very stressful to your arm wrist and hand. When moving from hardwood to shag (I have all hardwood and two 8×10 shag type area rugs) the beater bar stops and the machine quits working even when you stop and move it to the highest setting so it won’t vacuum my area rugsI can’t even hardly push it through the carpet. I can let it and set it down and pull it. . It will do low pile rugs. Then it won’t stand up on its own you have to lean it on something or never stop vacuuming. I can get through most of my house 1400 square foot with the light before it dies or moves to eco. The head does not easily release to use just the end to get into tight spaces or replace with another attachment. The cord for the battery is actually quite short if you’re hoping to plug it in a closet or hide away place. Sleek as it may seem I don’t want a vacuum hanging up as decor so I’m going to have to add a plug somewhere out of sight. The pros are the light and suction provided you can really get every hair and see all dust if your room is not to bright the light really shows everything I turn down the lights to vacuum crazy I will definitely not buy another and totally regret this purchase for the price it really should come with two batteries and be able to vacuum carpet. I waited almost a year for the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute (also known by other names in UK/AUS markets) to come back into stock. By the time Dyson Rewards came back for 2022 it was well worth the free Dok and extra tools. Dubbed Dyson’s most powerful cordless Vacuum (for now until/if Gen5 arrives on North American shores), the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute is no slouch at peak 230AW. However running on these settings, are also it’s biggest flaw. At full boost, the battery will run down in sub 10 minutes, although clever marketing might make it seem like you’d get a full 60 minutes if you don’t read carefully. The auto settings are a good happy medium, with the Dyson able to detect if it needs to allocate a quick boost to suck up more stubborn/larger particles, however for legacy Dyson users (used to the superior and non time limited 306 AW) or people who like the power of a commercial vacuum, it can leave you a little wanting. To test whether or not the boost vs auto made much of a difference, I tested with the lights off, and vacuumed a standard hardwood floor. Dyson adverts typically show the user walking in a straight line seamlessly sucking up the path ahead, so this was the approach taken to ensure accurate repro. On auto, at first look, the Dyson missed some areas on first pass, as well as struggled with elevated parts of the flooring. Boost picked up particles no problem, but at the expense of the battery life. The laser sees *everything* missed, but also might make you even more of a clean freak. For spot checking (on plush animals, furniture and cushions), boost worked well and I could complete most tasks within the 10 minute time constraints. 4.5 hours seems like a long time to wait before being able to use the device again however especially with quick charge technology available in 2022. Pros: • Best Cordless Dyson in North America today. • Laser is amazing. • LED is great for toggling between settings and validating the work that has been done. • Boost is nothing to scoff at. Cons: • Very short battery life on boost. • Tool clip and nozzle shipped in *free additional tools* non-compatible. • As with most Dyson products, the fact they are made from silicon/plastic works as a magnet to attract dust and I find dust on the exterior of the housing on most days. One last piece, not exclusively related to the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute, but related to the items received in the bundle, the tool (specifically the noozle), did not fit flush in the tool clip which allows you to connect 2x tools to either the dock or the wand. I tried alternating all tools, angles, tightness of the clip, and still could not get the nozzle to fit without protruding (show in image), so came to the conclusion this is was missed in their considerations design. There is another nozzle (and light nozzle) which should fit onto the tool clip, but this did not ship in the tool bundle, and, would cost additional to buy. Either the tool clip needs to be redesigned to compensate for the added rim around the nozzle shipped or, this should be remedied through replacement program. • Not too heavy (can also be held with both hands for added weight distribution).

I LOVE DYSON. It’s been a love affair for @15 or so years. I had the V-6 and made an excuse that college child needed so I could get the V-11animal. No one in my house were allowed to use. It WAS my baby – empty nester at the time. I bought it shortly after it first came out so it has the screwed in battery. I needed a cordless vacuum that was able to pick up Belgian Malinois Shepard fur from H _ _ _, easy to use, lighter than a full vacuum BUT WORK AS WELL OR BETTER than a full-size – I have chronic back pain and fibromyalgia and numbness… Yes in my crazy perfect vacuum dream world this existed and it DID! Thanks Dyson! It checked EVERY box of my needs, well except price. It was the most I have ever spent on something for me but dang it I deserved it and NEEDED it. It has been absolutely incredible! I would have told you 2 years ago do whatever you need to and buy bc it has incredible suction, awesome holders for tools with wall mount and on pole, adjustable suction on torque floor tool, adjust able power – Eco for low dirt area, Auto and Boost for deeper and stronger suction. So those are PROS. CONS are you need to press trigger to power it so with my neuropathy in hands at times I cannot vac, need to remove any attachments to empty dirt bin, after @8-12 months the bin empty slide started to stick, and then at 2 years (WARRANTY EXPIRED) and @5 months it started to shut off and then turn on. Called customer support and and they did a video troubleshoot and said it’s the battery. Well no battery in stock. Actually ABSOLUTELY ZERO SPARE PARTS for my baby have been in stock for over a month now! A week or so later it stopped more and then shut down. Called again and told it was the cyclone part (a guy on YouTube had same exact issue but his warranty was still active) BUT NO PART available. He told me to call or go to my nearest Dyson service center. Well the nearest in @1.25hrs. away. I do not have a car – getting divorced so I took my Dyson V11 animal and he got our 25 y/o car worth about the same. He fought for my V11 which was honestly a no win – I don’t know what he was thinking. Lol Plus the service center when I finally reached a person said that maybe it’s the trigger and I could mail it in. I still haven’t decided bc why pay to ship something that there’s no parts for? I rarely ever leave reviews but this thing is great! This is my first Dyson purchase and I have a German Shepard mix who sheds constantly, this V11 handles his hair with ease. I love the flexibility to use it anywhere with the attachments that are included, my personal favorite is the mini motorized tool. The simple design makes it easy to clean and maintenance. This thing picks up dirt that you don’t even see, especially in carpets and area rugs. I am also one who cares about packaging and this thing is packaged perfectly. The only downside, like all electronics is the battery life. 5 to 6 minutes on boost mode is not enough for a vacuum of this cost. I would like to see Dyson sell an additional king power cord that can be used to power the vacuum directly more like a traditional vacuum if needed for those of us with bigger houses with lots of carpeted areas.Jxustin
After reading these reviews I can't help but think that these machines are designed to last for roughly 2.5 years. My machine did the exact same thing that others have written about. I purchased this machine back in January 2020, about a month ago it started cutting off during use. The cutting off started getting more frequently to the point where the machine stays on for about 2 seconds before cutting off which makes it inoperable. So I call the service center to be told that my machine is out of warranty as of January 2022 and a replacement motor will cost $116. It is really unfortunate that a $700 machine is designed to last 2.5 years before you have to put more money into it. The sad part about it is that most people will pay the $116 because you can not get a new decent vac for that price and secondly, you have already invested $700 in this machine. It is very disheartening, and I wish I would have went with a different brand.Trise

After a short time of use, I was left slightly unimpressed by this vacuum. I own a similar vacuum by a different manufacturer and there are many features it has, that I wish this Samsung Jet vacuum had, such as a telescoping wand, a spare battery, a stand-alone charging stand, and a bottom emptying dust canister. What I loved the most about this vacuum was how extremely lightweight it is, the suction power, and the low profile vacuum head. I was very disappointed with the battery life of this vacuum, and I also found the pet hair tool (mini motorized tool) to be a mostly useless, battery draining tool. The low profile vacuum head and its powerful suction makes for an excellent vacuum on non-carpeted floors and it picks up pet hair really well. Unfortunately, the tiny wheels on the vacuum head made it difficult to vacuum carpet, which is disappointing for my household since it's a mixture of hardwood and carpet. (It just didn’t glide smoothly across carpet, especially at the higher suction settings.) Additionally, while the low profile vacuum head allows for vacuuming of tight spaces, it really limits the debris size that can be vacuumed up. There are three power levels to vacuum at, low, mid, and max. The mid level does ok but I definitely preferred running the vacuum on the max setting. Unfortunately running at the max significantly reduced the runtime of the vacuum to about 7 minutes, and with only one battery included, this means you're out of luck until it recharges. I did like using the vacuum to reach high spots around the house that tend to collect dust and cobwebs. The light weight of the vacuum and the extension crevice tool made it easy to get to those hard to reach areas without having to pull out a step stool. This is where the lightness of the vacuum really shined, as I was able to go around the entire house vacuuming corners and vents without my arm ever getting tired from holding the vacuum up in the air. Overall, after several days of use, I feel that the performance of this vacuum is just ok / average, especially compared to others on the market. There is definitely room for improvement. The Samsung Jet 60 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum is really lightweight and easy to use with only one hand. It comes with lots of accessories making it very versatile. All of the attachments have a button-click system making it very easy to attach or unattach the different accessories on the fly, so there’s no delay in your cleaning. The vacuum has adjustable suction power and decent suction even on lowest setting, but has even more power when you need it. This vacuum is absolutely great for cleaning those hard to reach places both high and low such as corners, under furniture, air vents, ceiling fans, and window blinds. The Jet 60 is convenient for vacuuming your car. For me, the greatest application for the Jet 60 is vacuuming the stairs. Not having to drag a full sized vacuum up and down the stairs is very nice. The product package states that the battery lasts up to 40 minutes. But when I use it on lowest power setting, I get about 24 minutes before the battery gives out. On full suction power, I only get around 6 minutes of charge. The battery charges quite slowly. After a small job of just a few minutes it takes around half an hour to recharge fully and after a job that depletes the battery completely it takes several hours to recharge fully. This means that it’s really not useful for a whole house cleaning, for that you probably need a corded vacuum. But if you had a small apartment or dorm room it might work fine. Otherwise, it’s mainly useful for spot cleaning and small cleanup jobs like vacuuming the stairs or your car. The dust collection bin is a reasonable size given the battery life, you are likely to run down the battery before the bin is full. The bin consists of 3 parts, one of which is a HEPA filter, and is easy to detach, empty, and clean by rinsing with water. There is a jet of air that comes out of both sides of the vacuum. I mention it because I have experienced these jets blowing dust up into the air while cleaning in especially dusty areas or when vacuuming near loose papers, like on a desk, the papers can get blown around. Overall, the Samsun Jet 60 works quite well, but my biggest complaint is the lack of battery life. Samsung really knocked it out of the park with this little guy. Between my wife and I, we actually enjoy vacuuming. We've even had competitions to see who can clean the most before the battery runs down! It's substantially more than I expected for the size of the battery, you can get a few rooms lightly soiled carpeted rooms in! Not just using it at the lowest speed either! (I'm not sure where Samsung gets the "up to 40mins" number, but I think you'd have to be not using any powered attachments, and at the lowest setting to get close to that, caveat aside, it lasts enough for a quick clean on an average house floor or more!) I also was not expecting it would actually pick up much more than an older hand vacuum that happens to have a long wand/sweeper attachment. It actually functions as a "main" vacuum if you're a frequent cleaner, as it handles deeper messes in a carpet that I was not expecting it to even come close to pulling up all the way. (dog and people hair plus some tracked in dirt/sand that was stepped in, took a few passes, but still managed) It's also not excessively loud, my infant daughter is most intrigued by it and watches us intently, whereas she was frightened/we had to put some hearing protecting on her if we wanted to use our "big" corded vacuum. The ONLY downside I have to this vacuum is the charging/mounting unit, which is why I gave it 4/5 instead of 5/5. Some folks do not want to mount a vacuum and just want it hidden in a closet until use, with a battery charger in the corner maybe out of the way. I have a medium/small house composed entirely of low pile carpet and hard tile. The biggest reason I went for this vacuum was the improved suction on hard surfaces, as I had a cheaper vacuum that would simply scatter dirt around. It definitely cleans both surfaces very thoroughly and makes cleaning the tile so much easier. I was also surprised at how quiet it is, not as loud as my old canister Bissel, even at maximum suction. One complaint I have is that the head can be difficult to push on carpet, I think it would be much easier with some wheels on the head.Max
Replaced 15 yo Miele vacuum. Lighter than previous one and quieter, though not as light and as quiet as I was hoping for. Cord sadly shorter than previous one but vacuum maneuvering way easier (rolls way better). I like the smallest body as well. Excellent sucking and power, but brush is not very large (more work) and rolls funny (not smooth). I have my older large brush that I will use instead but think it’s unfortunate that a vacuum meant to be top notch provides such a small brush. On another positive side, that brush works wonderfully on carpet, which makes it great. So, overall this vacuum provides an excellent cleaning, with an easy maneuvering and not too noisy operation. I think it could get a more modern and convenient design with longer power cord, and a more substantial main brush (I know, we can always buy another model).
All the good reviews are so TRUE. After many low quality vacs like the Dyson, etc, I finally got wise and bought a Miele. My first one I bought over 5 years ago and is still going strong like day 1. I bought a second one a few months ago (I'm a clean freak) and this one is equally fantastic. You just cannot beat Miele quality. I call her "Mia" because she's cute and follows you around like a little puppy. This baby could suck the grout out from between your tiles so you won't EVER worry about having enough suction. Worst Vacuum I have ever bought. Seriously a joke. Hard floors it just shoots debris out the back. It takes 3 times longer to do any vacuuming because you are constantly going over areas you just vacuumed trying to get debris back up that it just shot back at you. It does mediocre on carpeted areas. Super lightweight which is nice but the cord is so short I can’t even vacuum one room without having to switch plugs which is super annoying. I am very, very disappointed with this vacuum. It looks great, lightweight, easy to put together and was shipped fast. And on my tile floors it works quite well. Then tonight I attempted to vacuum my carpet and the vacuum just stuck right to the first spot it rolled on to. It would not BUDGE no matter how hard I pull, pushed, or sweet talked my cute little new vacuum it would not move. Seems that there is no adjustable setting to let you choose what height or bare floor, low, med, high carpet. I am handicapped and no way I can get it to roll and I have short low carpet. Since I had used it on the tile with no issues, I had felt comfortable tossing the box and all the packaging so I can’t even return it. Very, very disappointed by this. The vacuum was supposed to be my Amazon Prime weekend gift to myself, but Walmart impressed me with the cute look and low price, so I stashed my gift card and paid cash. I wasn’t expecting more than a basic vacuum at this price, but I didn’t even get that. It does not have an option to turn off the spinning brush. I could deal with that. There is no on off switch. There is a cheap plastic pedal to turn it on and off instead. I could deal with that. The cord is pretty short. I could deal with that. But it DOES NOT pick up much of anything! That I COULD NOT deal with. In fact, it often spins out the back what it does pick up! Oh and sometimes it pops open in the front while vacuuming and puffs out a cloud of dust and lint! I bought this primarily for hardwoods, two (low-medium pile rugs) and light vacuuming in my car. Terrible on each surface!! it MIGHT pick up a few random hairs of small things off the hardwoods but, thats a maybe, at best. I even spilled dry rice down to test it and, nada! This vacuum is perfect as a toddlers first vacuum to play with because the suction is not strong at all. The attachment tools make it even worse. Would not recommend
I needed a vacuum to pick up cat litter from the litter mat as well as the hardwood floor of the room where the litter boxes are located. A regular vacuum was too heavy for me to use comfortably. We have a very good Dyson portable stick vacuum but the litter granules don't stay in the canister and fall out when I am finished. I purchased this Bissell due to the reviews. This is fantastic! As others have said, it almost looks like a child's toy. It is all plastic and extremely light weight. However, it picks up litter like a champ and holds it in the canister until it is emptied. I do have to change or clean the filter about once a week due to the build up of cat hair. This is quite easy to do. I would advise getting only Bissell filters as I have found that generic ones are not a perfect fit and Bissell filters are no more expensive than generic ones. I also advise having extra filters on hand. I ordered 4 from Bissell many, many months ago and they have all held up well. To clean them, I vacuum out the cat hair with another vacuum and then squirt a little Dawn dish detergent on the filter, hold it under running water while I gently rub all sides of the outside of the filter with my fingers. Rinse well and then let air dry. To me, the cleaned ones are just as good as a new filter. They are very durable. There is also a sponge filter at the end of the vacuum part that I did not notice for a while. I would recommend getting one or two for spares. I just gently shake it out when dirty. It is pretty small. I have given up taking off the main attachment and using the nozzle because I can't get the main attachment off. I don't care. I really do not need the nozzle. I cannot say enough about how great this is for my needs. It works great for hard floors. It will do a fine job of picking up litter that rests on or near the top surface of a carpet. It would not be great for deeper cleaning of a carpet.
I was a bit worried with so many negative reviews, but I love this vacuum. It is so light and easy to carry around. It picks up everything as long as you frequently empty the filter. I also take a can of compressed air to blow the filter clean from the inside out. It is well made, and all the parts fit well. I like the floor cleaner for picking up pet hair because it has no rollers where the hair gets tangled. The blue color is beautiful, and the unit leans against the wall without falling over. The cord could be a bit longer, but I have a lot of outlets, so no problem. I am very happy with the purchase. The price was very reasonable.Nancy

I am a highly experienced electronic repair technician. I just rebuilt a Shark Rotator Professional lift-away vacuum. Of course users fail to replace or clean all three filters causing loss of suction. Cleaning these with warm water and dawn dish soap works best. The unit claims to have thermal monitoring protection on the brush roll base and its design is causing the complaints of failure to work on carpeting in consumer homes. There is no thermal sensor. It uses a D.C. motor to a circuit board where a series low ohm current drop resistor exists. When the motor is slowed , thwe motor draws more current which lowers the resistence in the moter resistor series circuit causing increased voltage drop on the resistor triggering the circuit and activating the motors disconnect relay turning off motor. Although it does much to protect the motor in case of armature freezing with current applied. It makes the consumer unhappy because they cant vacuum carpets as they expect to paying almost 400 dollars for this nice vacuum. The fast fix is simply taking a soldering iron and lifting on side of the feed back silicon diode and reassembling unit. Now you will find the brush roll attachment actually works and does an awesome cleaning job on any carpet. Be sure to use caution and not pick up things that will jam the brush roller and break the belt. If this happens please turn off vacuum unplug and remove obstruction from brush roller. Then plug back in and finish vacuuming. I hope this helps others, mine is now issue less and working awesome.MissTiffany2025
Okay, this vacuum cleaner is actually FUN to run! It’s lightweight and very flexible. The long wand makes getting corners, cracks and crevices a breeze. Only drawback is the base will tip over if you stretch the hose too far, so keep an eye on it as you use the wand. Cleaning stairs is easy with the “Lift Away” feature. The NV501 has strong suction and durability. Do your regular maintenance as other reviews have mentioned, and store it properly. It’s super easy to take apart when needed. I accidentally sucked up a microfiber cloth once, but was able to open the hose at the right spot and pull the cloth right out. We’ve had our NV501 for almost a decade and still no problems. Have purchased this particular model as gifts for friends and family. Highly recommended.DB
I’ve had this model for about 5 years and yes occasionally you’ll have to cut some hair off the powdered brush if you have long hair or girls around or just heavy traffic I guess but that takes literally 20 seconds. Grab a pair of scissors, cut the hair and pull it out. Any vacuum with a brush is going to eventually wrap up hair! The vacuum has one killer motor, it cleans like nothing I’ve ever seen. I’m continuously impressed by the vast amount of dander, dust, and allergens it grabs every single time! I love how the handle comes off to clean small areas such as my couch cushions, behind furniture, etc. (I have this model which cane with ALL the attachments so I may have paid a bit more but it was definitely worth it) the only other difference is the colors. Mine has dark blue where the red is shown. I absolutely love how I can detach the base when going up stairs as shown in the photo. I don’t use the tiny “car part cleaners” which also came with the bulk of attachments but I guess it’s there if I were to ever need it. My fav attachment is the smaller roller brush that literally eats every cat hair off my dining room chairs and wherever else I need it. Anyway I suppose I could go on but you get my drift. By the way of course after awhile the vacuum will accumulate dust around the base and hose (I’ve seen someone post photos here of their dirty vacuum lol) but it’s a vacuum! It’s going to get dirty! My last thought pertains to the newest model I believe, the NV1000 with the “self cleaning brush” or double brush very bulky looking one. Although I haven’t used it, I personally don’t think it is going to sell much in the end. I say that with regards to the current reviews and complaints along with the marketing aspect in mind. What I conclude is just logical: once again as long as there is a revolving brush or in this case 2 rolling brushes, in time there WILL BE a hair issue as long as there are women, girls, and pets around. Got this because my wife loves purple. No greater reason to buy a vacuum cleaner than the color. It works great on non-carpeted floors but is impossible to move on carpet. Good thing it's for a home without carpet. Everything works fine except the hose falls apart. You are vacuuming away and suddenly the head is on the floor and you are pushing an incomplete hose. I fixed that with a piece of masking tape around the top of the head piece. Shouldn't have to gerry rig a new vacuum in my opinion.No Body You Know!
I always used Bissell canisters for the easy conversion and parts sharing between machines(since we use them a lot). As Bissells age, the motors naturally get a bit less efficient, and that's expected. The Bissell Zing was a huge mistake. I had to duct tape all of the extension hose connections just to use it at all. Now I can't use it for small crevice jobs unless I rip it all off and retape constantly. It needs a click and lock function on the extension adaptors. It may not be as much of an issue as it ages and it can't lift a cotton ball, but new, it has suction that rips the plain plastic extensions that attach the heads, off onto the floor. I'm going to go with a more pricey manufacturer now. This Green thing is going in the garbage. I had a feeling the price was too good to be true. If you have a roll of duct tape and never plan on using the extensions and only use floor head, or never plan to use extensions and floor head, it will be fine for you and has great suction for that. If you need to ever use the floor features, it may be irritating and require taping. OH LOOK, MADE IN CHINA. Now everything makes sense.Brandy Lewis
I love the Bissell Zing. For the money it works very well. My only complaints are that it is all plastic. While it makes the vacuum light, its durability is questionable. Also the hose has no way of staying on to the floor tool. You push it on and hope for the best. I can see this being a problem in time and also a frustration. One other thing, the electric cord is very short. For the cost in todays world it is very good but you barley get what you pay for these days! My expectations aren't very high! I wish there was a company that would take pride in the fact that they give the consumer a well made product, at a fair cost, that would last longer then a year. I know, by doing this you wouldn't make huge profits but you would still make healthy profits and loyal customers! It would also help the environment with keeping waste at a minimum! I bought this for a friend that has back issues and vacuuming is difficult. She loves it, but she didn't have high expectations. I tried setting up the app but was unable to resolve wifi connectivity issues. I didn't try that hard, so maybe it could be resolved with a larger investment in time. It is run manually, as needed, and seems to work well as it transitions from hard floors to medium height pile carpeting. It can't always seem to find its base, but she doesn't keep the base right out in the open, as suggested, because it wouldn't look very nice. Small modifications to the house help it avoid problems, like a bumper on a fire place to keep the bot from going too far in and causing damage to trim, also, lowered a threshold between rooms so that the bot could cross over in both directions. It does have fairly impressive off-road capabilities and was making it over a large threshold, but was trapped on the other side. The terrain doesn't need to be really flat. If your willing to work with it and don't expect it to work miracles, it can be a purchase you don't regret. It has been almost a year of ownership. No parts to be replaced yet.
I admit, I am a robot groupie. As such, I've have about 8 vacuum bots over the years including the first Roomba (had no numbers in the name, just Roomba). I also have 7 cats and 2 dogs, so you know the Roombas are working in our house. If you have deep pile carpeting, this is the best bang for the buck of the major brands on the market. At present, I also have the i6 (exactly like the i7), and although it is great on floors and short pile carpeting I have in the kitchen and living room (and I absolutely LOVE the automatic empty feature), it's not great on the deep pile carpets I have in my bedroom. I also have a Eufy 11s and it is good for floors, but not for carpeting. The Shark is basically useless. However, this guy is great! The brushes really clean the carpets well, and when it finishes, the carpets look as though they have been vacuumed with a heavy duty, non-robotic, plug-in vacuum. This is not just my own opinion. I've other folks look and they were quite honestly surprised by how well the 690 vacuumed the carpets. "It works this well on the carpets? I thought robot vacuums were only for floors." I love this robot!
I was skeptical that a battery powered vacuum could get results similar to a regular corded vac. I was right. It picks up surface stuff fairly well but is no substitute for a real vacuum. Having said that, we do find it very useful for cleaning up pet hair. We leave it to run in a room when we are gone and the receptacle has a good amount of dist and hair in it. It keeps the carpet a little cleaner between vacuuming. The sweeping pattern is totally random and it tends to stay in one spot for a long time before moving on. When it encounters an obstacle it does an almost full turn and collides with the same object. If you leave it in one small room. block off the areas under dressers and such that it tends to get lodged under, it's handy enough. Our side sweeper brush motor burned out after four months and I read that it should be taken out and cleaned regularly. This is not mentioned in the instructions. For this much money you can buy a mid-range upright which I would recommendSteveC

I bought this particular vacuum because I had used one at a friends's. I ordered mine on June 23rd and received it the next day! I was so excited! Three days later my friend called and said not to get the vacuum because her battery stopped charging and she had only had it for 4 months! Well, I kept mine thinking hers was a fluke but nope! After 4 1/2 months, my battery has stopped charging! I have tried to call the 1-800 number but it keeps saying "due to weather" they are closed and to call back. I've had many vacuums over the years and this is the worst. I extensively research items before I buy them to be sure they have the features I'm looking for, which is why I chose this product. If I could send it beck, I would. The dust cup disconnects from the handle regularly and already I've lost suction. It completely disconnects and falls apart with very little handling. It doesn't "prop up" on anything in my house like it says it should. Eureka is a good brand and I've had other stick vacs but this is awful.Jo
When I unpackaged my Eureka Rapid Clean pro, my first thought that it was too light weight and didnt look like it could handle much nor would the battery big long enough to make it around my house. I will say that I own a Kirby, Dyson, and no this Eureka so I have quite a bit to compare it to. Style wise it was similar to my Dyson V6 but not nearly as heavy. Super easy to assemble- I didnt even bother reading the instructions. I charged it up and took it around the house. Lucky for this review we are renovating our home so there is plenty of dust from hanging, texturing, and sanding drywall, 60 year old insulation fluff in and on everything and every corner and much more. I've been using my Dyson primarily before I received this just because its easier to grab- the Eureka Rapid Pro is MUCH lighter and just as easy to cart around. I LOVE that the head of the vacuum seems to sit really low to the ground where my other stick vacuum is a little higher and tends to grab things that are "too big" for it to handle and thus just shoot it out of the back- this Eureka is low enough that it doesnt really grab what it can't handle. I also love the extra wheels on the head allowing for REALLY nice range of motion.. and the LIGHT! Never thought a light on the head of a cordless vacuum would come in so handy but its life changing! I could SEE where the dust was under the bed and go where I needed and be done rather than just aimlessly moving it around and hoping I got what I needed to. Lastly- the battery life was wayyyy longer than my Dyson. I even used it- LET IT UNPLUGGED for a few days, used it again and left it unplugged again and used- that to me is amazing for a small stick vacuum. Love hate relationship with my vacuum. It’s very very verryyyy amazing at actually getting up all of the dirt, dust, food particles. It has great suction, and the attachments have nice features: a nice angled piece for corners and a great upholstery tool with the brushes on both sides that works FANTASTICALLY for pet hair!! The only thing I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT STAND … Why is the containment chamber sooooo small!! like I can only clean the stairs and upstairs hall have to empty, do 2/3 medium sized bedrooms. full. Living room and dining room. Have to empty it again!! if it’s too full like you try to squeeze in the last bit of the 3rd room you have to empty from top and bottom of the chamber which literally makes such a mess (making more stuff I have to vacuum sad face) and on top of that as cool as the really long detachable from the body tube is , stuff gets stucckkkk like soo baddd!!! Omg it’s unbearable at times I have to use a really long wire coat hanger that I have It’s ridiculous lol so yeah love hate relationship it vacuums so well though that honestly I just deal with it especially bc this vacuum is super cheap it was $160 at Target and $175 on Amazon delivered with warranty included so worth it! And I even contacted them the first time I had the issue tube clogging issue and they replaced it but the same thing still happens I’m sure it’s just from being extended and then retracted the stuff just gets stuck and builds up. Now I'm not a person who vacuums multiple times in a week. Honestly , I may vacuum once every 2-3 weeks. So the old ones didn't crap the bed due to being over used. Before buying this fantastic vacuum , I did my due diligence and did a lot of research and read a ton of product reviews. By far I felt that this Shark vacuum was the best fit for me and I was right. Everything about this vacuum is smooth , easy to use & operate and definitely the best value for my wallet. This vacuum is okay. I broke my other Shark Navigator, the NV586 purple one, about a year ago and needed a quick replacement so I thought this one would be just as good. It was not. It was fine but really just not powerful enough to handle my 4 kiddos and two pets. So I went looking for an upgrade and I am coming back to write a review finally becuase I recently purchased the new Shark Vertex DuoClean (AZ2002) and OMG I never knew what I was literally missing. One single pass over an 8×10 rug and the DuoClean picked up more dirt and hair than any other vacuum I have ever owned. No exaggeration, I think I picked up years worth of nasty that I had no idea was still in there. As a bonus, it also glides over the hardwood floors picking up everything instead of scattering it like other vacuums and now I am also throwing away my brooms. After owning three Sharks and one Dyson, I would recommend the DuoClean forever. So the NV360 is fine for single folks with no pets or kids who also don't need to do hardwood floors, otherwise watch for a sale and snag the new DuoClean.Karilyn82

I just moved into a new apartment and have saved up for this Dyson and it was the best decision I have made. My new place is a 2 bed/2 bath apartment with mostly hard floors and carpets in the bedroom. After going to Dyson’s website and taking their quiz. First, I have to suggest going through Dyson’s website to purchase and not through a 3rd party (Amazon, Target, etc). Dyson offers a price match, you are ensured a warranty, if you wish to get additional attachments, you can know you are getting the correct ones. Next, after know about what model and price point I needed, I was able to look at each machine and pick out the best that would work for me, my cleaning routine, and my home. My Dyson came with so many different attachments (included!!!) but the reason I chose this one was it had different heads for one for each type of flooring, carpet or hard floors. I can remove the wand to make the attachments handheld to clean my couch, add it and a soft bristle head to clean the walls and the top corners next to my ceiling. I could go on and on. This isn’t a vacuum… this has replaced so many different tools I used to clean and, above all, my favorite part, as new apartments can come some lingering bugs, I take the head off and can stay far enough away and still catch and dump the creepy-crawlies. It is my new bug killing machine. As I said, I could write a novel about how much I love this Dyson. It was worth every penny.heather.n

I got a V7 in Jan 2019. Initially, and for about 1.5 yrs., I thoroughly enjoyed it. Then my housecleaner told me a charge didn't last more than 10 mins. Because I have another plug-in vacuum, I didn't think much of it at the time. Then I hired another cleaner. She brought her own vacuum so it hasn't been used at all since Jan 2022. Just in the last week, I tried to use it and it only lasted about 30 seconds. I had a very good experience with the website and service person on the phone but I have been advised that a new battery is necessary. If that is correct, I must say that I am disappointed in Dyson. I expected better performance from their machine. For a machine that is 3 1/2 yrs. old and only used perhaps 2 years of that (and not solely because I have another machine), I think the battery should last longer. And, if the cost of the battery is 1/4 of the price of the machine, I think that is even more disappointing. And, it's the cost of the battery + shipping. My carpenter husband has battery powered tools, uses them consistently and has never had to replace a battery. That knowledge doesn't help me. Is it possible that the charging station is defective? At any rate, as much as I loved it in the beginning, I'm pretty unhappy at present. I recommended my vacuum to lots of friends at first but now, I would have to tell them the whole story and what to expect.Bren

Out of the box, the vacuum was great. Sucked up everything. Within a month, it was basically a glorified hand vacuum. The only way I can get it to do anything is to use remove the hose and the attachments. The actual suction when using it upright is terrible. It vibrates like a dolphining F1 race car, makes a hideous popping and hissing sound from the side, and worst of all, leaves fuzz, dirt , and giant hard balls of lint all over my floors rather than actually cleaning them. Using this vacuum is more work than simply using a broom and a hand held dirt Devil. Customer service was helpful in trying to fix the issues but the suggested solve didn't work. The vacuum is a lemon…complete waste of the time and money spent.Card Lady
It does quality performing for pet hair to include the turbo extension tool for upholstery. DO READ ALL the instructions so you know how to properly use it. Don't assume! The tools are ill placed with the placement and storage of the electrical cord (always falling off). The telescope for the hose to attachments doesn't lock properly and always ALWAYS pushing back in. I don't have an issue with pet hair on the roller getting stuck, but I do with human hair and any amount of length to trash. The spot where the hose connects to the canister is constantly getting clogged because it is small and narrow, needs to be wider. Pay CLOSE attention when taking the filter out of the canister and putting it back; there is a reason it is meticulously marked. The alignment must be perfect or it won't go back together properly; this is the same for everything on the vacuum. Hard to push when vacuuming (hence one of the reasons I said to read instructions carefully)? You have to provide some air to release the amount of suction, so it moves easier with the little knob on the left; by the way, it moves also on its own.feltermail
Within 1 minute of its' first use this model #2475 Pet Hair Eraser Turbo had its' brush roll stop spinning before a small 10×10 foot area was complete. The belt assembly is centre mounted so debris from both sides of the brush roll collects towards its' centralized belt motor which sits open with nothing to protect it from debris. This results in it being the furthest thing from the "tangle free" unit it is advertised as. Removal of the head screws holding the bottom cover in place is quite easy so I was able to see what was causing the jam (see picture attached). The manufacturer claims the unit can accept hair length of 4-8 inches. The longest of the hairs in this pictures is 3 inches, so the job in question should have been well within the manufacturer's guidelines. Upon reassembling the base the unit promptly got jammed a second time. After once again removing the clog I decided to give it a different task, cleaning hardwood. This unit has a key feature for those with hardwood floors, its' brush can turn on/off, saving your hardwood from being scratched by the roller. Sadly there is very little suction (see video attached). I found without the brush roll spinning the machine picks up essentially nothing. The last major feature this unit is its' heavily marked "pet hair eraser" attachments. The Pet Turbo Eraser" is nothing more than the same "turbo brush" or "handi-mate" that has been commonplace on vacuum's since the 1950's. The "two in one" pet brush is a traditional fabric brush as is the crevice tool. There is nothing fundamentally different with these attachments than what is industry standard from most vacuum suppliers. I've had Bissell units before, the last being the significantly cheaper "Clearview Alergen Lift-Off Pet Upright Vaccuum." It lasted 2 years before dying a few weeks after its warranty expired precipitating the purchase of this Turbo model. All in all a poor vacuum. Don't buy this.Jimmy

This is an amazing vacuum. The Shark Navigator light upright vacuum is the best budget Shark vacuum for small to mid-sized rooms. It has the same suction power as the advanced units and cleans well for both carpet and hardwood floorings. The only negative about this product is that it does not contain a HEPA filter. Other than that, the vacuum performs admirably and it definitely feels light enough to transport to different areas of the home. I believe that this product is built durably and will last for many years to come. Cleanup is a breeze using this product and I definitely enjoy the large container for trapping dirt and other particles. The blue color scheme is masculine and has a sleek styling. I packed and used my Shark Navigator Light Vaccum this weekend. It has great suction power and did a great job both on my carpet and hard floors. It is nit a heavy vac so it moves with ease. I was able to take it upstairs by myself without husband's assistance. That's a good feature; light weight. I also like all the attachments that come with this vacuum. The pet feature was important to me because my dog sheds like crazy so I used the pet tool to vacuum my car and dog beds. I am very happy with my Shark vacuum! GO get one.Coffee Qween
I would have given this 5 stars, but there are some design flaws. #1 The onboard tools are constantly falling coming off. #2 the hose design is frustrating, if you don't twist the handle just so, the entire vacuum falls over. #3 they could have added 3-5 extra ft on the power cord. All this would have been a huge negative but this vacuums sucking power saved it. This thing SUCKS & never clogs. Hard floors, carpet CHECK! It is lightweight and easy to use. This is the newest vacuum in my lineup (I have both the Vertex upright and Vertex cordless and have had the Apex models in the past as well), and it fits right in. Shark has nailed it with the DuoClean and PowerFins design. The two brushrolls work wonderful together and I have yet to see any hair tangles in any of the models I have (the prior Apex Zero-M would occasionally have some hair wrap). You can tell that this Rotator is built cheaper than the Vertex upright, but that leads to a reduction in weight which makes the Rotator a breeze to move around and carry around. Lately I have been taking the Rotator with me to my cleaning jobs and I would say it cleans pretty close to the Vertex upright. I never really use the Powered Lift-Away feature on the Vertex upright and have only used the Lift-Away (non-powered) feature on this Rotator once. The vacuum is light enough to move around without worrying to remove the pod and then you must make sure it is placed back on the floor nozzle correctly, that was a pain. The dust cup is sufficient for medium jobs, but needs to be emptied for larger jobs. I love the HEPA filtration on all of the models that I have, it feels good to know that the air coming out of the vacuum is cleaner than the air that went in. I sometimes but the baking soda carpet deodorizers to help freshen the smell that comes out of the HEPA filter, and it lasts quite awhile and the box is only $1 at your local retailer. If the Vertex upright is too heavy for you, try this Rotator, it cleans about just as well as the Vertex and it is much easier to maneuver. The floor nozzle really wants to "run away" from you, so be aware of that (I have seen this on all of their DuoClean models, it gives you an arm workout when vacuuming which I don't mind but I can see how it could be bothersome to some). The Rotator, and all of Shark's vacuums are quite easy to assemble and the parts click together to ensure the proper connection. The cord is the same length as the Vertex and I can easily vacuum the majority of my home without moving the cord. This model, like the Vertex, lacks the LED light on the hand nozzle (as was the case on the prior Apex model, please Shark bring that back!). I am very happy with this purchase and can't wait to see what Shark will come out with next.jkeis862
I loved this vacuum at first until this major design flaw which will end up costing me hundreds over the years. We had this for almost a year, then this tubing broke at both the top and bottom in front of where it connects to the canister and handle. I don't use the handle separately very often, but did so recently to get some cobwebs in the corners of my rooms, which only have 7.5 -8ft ceilings (so not very high). Maybe that's what did it? But this tubing is not nearly as extendable as they claim and caused the unit to fall over due to the lack of extendability. The material is too stiff, leading to this vulnerable areas at the curves right near the connecting points, which split apart. Upon putting in a warranty claim, they said this part was not covered due to "wear and tear". To me this should not happen in less than 1 year and is a design flaw. Luckily Customer Service was great and is replacing it for free "this one time." However, now I have to anticipate paying $70 per year to replace the part as I expect this may happen again annually. That seems quite expensive for the part alone, and this is obviously a design flaw when I rarely have use for the tube extension. I would really like shark to make these parts more affordable as a result, and fix the design for the future. I love so many things about the vacuum but I could not recommend it due to this issue alone, and the added expense of such replacement parts over time. We have 17 dogs 3 cats and 2 kids. Got this vacuum as a gift to try to tame the constant mess, particularly without destroying the vacuums parts constantly. It sucks up any and all dirt (maybe with several passes, but thats ok.) But the way the canister and filter system work, a significant amount of regular DIRT (drug in by the dogs paws) bypasses the canister where it hits the 2 washable filters. Those are clogged up within minutes of cleaning up after a muddy day. If those filters get too clogged, dirt sucks into the motor, then blows out into the HEPA filter. While this is how it’s designed to keep dirty air from blowing out, I’ve owned this exactly 2 months and washed the filters countless times already. Despite this care though, the motor has already developed a whine from stress. Something about the design really needs redone to keep more dirt in the cup than trying to blow through the filters. I love the suction power of this little hoover. It's so handy in my job as a childminder to quickly pick up crumbs. The jobs it makes so simple are pvc door frames at the bottom where dirt gets trapped or the cutlery drawer. Using the brush attachment on those jobs cuts the time it takes to complete the tasks. I have to give a mention to Eufy customer support who replaced my hoover after the rubber nozzle stopper was lost. It is a bit of a design fault and renders the hoover useless when it goes missing. Now my whole household are aware of the part we can take care when emptying the dustbin. The exchange was very quick and dealt with efficiently & friendly. Really pleased.
Good little vacuum. Suction isn't great, don't expect it to be anywhere near other cordless levels but it's good for the odd cleanup around the room. Sometimes can have trouble picking up things it's directly pointed at, closer approach to the floor is needed. Filter is good, a little too good because it clogs up with dust frequently. Regular cleaning / emptying required in order to maintain the already limited suction power. Battery was excellent out the box. Now about a month later I can see it depletes within 10 minutes or so. Charging with micro USB is a plus and 2/3 charge bar level can do a decent sized room comfortably. Overall good product; it's lightweight, off button can annoyingly be accidentally hit but no big deal, easy to clean reusable filters are a bonus, brush extension is good but with the extra length you can noticeably tell power is being lost. Nothing that will rival the big boys like Dyson and Shark but it's reflected in the price, great for cars or general dusting in hard to reach places with conventional vacuum tubes. You could look at the lack of suction as a positive; it won't grab objects, instead gently removes the dust. I'd recommend but buying at around £25.
According to the marketing materials and the product manual the filters are washable. The joke is that you can't separate the outside pre-filter from the inside filter as shown in the product manual or the marketing material. The outer filter is supposed to twist on and off (contrary to the manual, page 10, that shows it coming straight off) but it was so tight that I indented and almost broke out the fine mesh of the outer screen in the process. The reassembly process and the small icon on the filter show it twisting on and off. Even so, I had to use a pocket knife to get it loose enough to remove. I have no idea how a person with weak hands could accomplish this. Just another case of a techy designer using a CAD system and never testing it outside of the computer geek world, shoving it into production and screwing the consumer in the process. I won't buy another one.

I bought this Oreck XL Commercial floor sweeper as a brand-new backup unit for an existing Oreck Xl home vac that I bought back in the 1990's. The original one still works just fine and the only maintenance it has ever required, other than bag changes, was a single drive belt replacement. The Oreck XL is a workhorse floor/carpet sweeper! And, the best part is that I recently got this brand-new one for $200, which is less than half of the price I paid for my original Oreck XL, back in the 1990's. The Oreck XL Commercial vacuum is light in weight (8 pounds). The low profile makes it incredibly easy to slide underneath a bed (you can even store it under there, between uses). It has a very comfortable ergonomically-designed handle with readily accessible on/off control switch. Each vacuum bag is top-loading and holds an incredible amount of debris. The filter bag is easy to change, is reasonably priced, and prevents any sneeze-producing dust from ever escaping the vac during use.vintage-connections
5/15/19 I did a lot of research before I chose to get one of these. I found out that the motor is only a 4 amp motor and I wondered if that was going to be powerful enough to do a good job. (I knew the motor was very long lasting.). I figured that because the discharge bag downstream of the motor was so much larger then comprable vacuums, that there would not be much back pressure on the motor and so by design, you probably don't need such a powerful motor. I also figured, that if you design a vacuum cleaner right, why would you need a 10 11 12 amp motor? I like the fact that it had a good quality cord that you didn't have to bend over to wrap the cord up it had a big bag so you didn't have to constantly buy bags did it was durable, because it is what janitors use and hotels across the country. I also know that my carpet was not a shag carpet it was a lower carpet and it was a hardwood floor. So I figured I would buy it from Walmart and try it and if I don't like it I can get my money back. WOW!!! I am so impressed with this machine! It picks up like you would not believe everything and I love the fact that you don't need a motor that is so powerful it belongs on a saw to cut wood. I love not having all these gadget cheap accessories that falling off all the time. I love being able to get underneath stuff. I love the lightweight. I love the switch on the handle in case I suck up a sock or shoelace. so that I can shut the motor off before I burn up a belt. I love the fact there's a spare belt underneath. I love the heavy-duty cushioning around the motor housing. And I really like the way the brushes are set up the beater bars very well-designed very simple very rugged very durable. (I believe in keep it simple KISS.)! So what if it's a tad noisy. Our Princess vacuum just died. We have always had problems finding bags for it anyway… We received a used Oreck as a gift many years ago and it still runs and cleans super. This is an extremely lightweight machine. Not just in actual weight, but in the job it does. The motor is not powerful, the spinner is not fast. You do NOT save time using this over mopping. You must go SLOOW, back and forth, several times, over each area on even the lightest of soiled flooring. You must clean as instructed, the spinner, screens, and filter after only a few minutes of use or it will stop working completely. It doesn't do well on tile unless there are nearly flat grout lines. What is it good for? Linoleum, very lightly soiled. Probably to have it charged and ready for a small spill in the kitchen while cooking, then set it aside and know you WILL have to disassemble and clean it before you use it again, even after only a minute or two of use. For $99 it is not worth it. This should be a $39 dollar machine tops.Cutlass275
This thing is terrible. I wanted a shark cross wave but they’re expensive. I looked through the description and the reviews and thought this may be a less expensive alternative. You get what you pay for. We use it 2 X on hardwood floors. We don’t have carpets. The cleaner started spitting out nasty, dirty, smelly water all over the place. It left my house smelling like a septic tank. Yes, we have a puppy that has accidents and we used it to clean up. Aren’t these things designed to clean up messes? We have disassembled it just like the directions instructed. We cleaned every item that was disassembled with soap and water and even a tiny bit of bleach on the roller. We put it back together, turned it on and once again it starting spitting out sewage water. I haven’t touched it since. I was just going to eat the price and use the swifter but the more I thought about it. No, I’m sick of buying things that work maybe once then I end up with expensive junk I’m never going to use. So i bought this yesterday i been eyeing this mop for awhile and read alot of reviews. I was so excited to finally get it as the reveiw were so great. I been useing a reuseable spray mop so wanted to up grade as the mop head gets dirty so quick as a single mom i wanted something more convenient but that is not what i got. I was so disappointed in this mop vacuum. I have real hardwood floor and laminate in my kitchen. This did not clean i had dirty spots on my floor that my mop would have got in 2 seconds. But this thing did not clean and at first im like i must be doing something wrong so i read the book with it like 5 times going yes im doing it right. At first the floor wasnt even getting wet but after holding the button down felt like forever it finally got wet. I had to go over spots so many time for it to even get clean. Went to clean my kitchen and that was even worst i kept going over a spot over and over and nothing. So i got out my spot mop sprayed it with just water and it came up as soon as i went over it. So it wasnt a hard spot to clean but the vacuum did not clean it. only good part of the vacuum is that it sucks up the water nice and leaves your floor pretty much dry. It didnt leave streaks but the worst thing of it is when you turn it on its so powerful that it moves the vacuum forward so hard that your fighting it to go backward to suck up the water. For $200 this is not worth it at all my $30 stray mop does so much better ( but hate that it leaves my floors so wet). Oh also this doesnt not get your floor wet or clean a inch away from the wall or your rugs so couldnt get on the side of floors clean.Amber
