I’ve never in my life owned a Dyson but I finally decided to splurge and I’m glad I did! Here are my first impressions after getting up at the crack of dawn excited to test it out haha! It’s much quieter than I thought which is appreciated for those early morning cleanups after my toddler makes a mess but my older daughter is still sleeping. That laser is amazing but terrible at the same time…holy lord the stuff it was bringing to my attention was wild. I love the attachments and the one that lets you make it a 90 angle to go right under couches and furniture…chefs kiss. The floor dok is also a really nice feature as I don’t really have somewhere to mount it to the wall. It’s definitely heavier than I anticipated it to be. I do find I’m switching arms a lot so for someone who may be older or limited mobility it may be a bit cumbersome. I don’t hate that you have to press the button constantly to keep it on as it’s easier when you need to stop and go, but I do find it a bit awkward and my hand is a touch sore. I had it fully charged and used it for just over an hour and it’s now dead; I accomplished two floors, two sets of stairs and a couch set in that time. I only have hard floors besides two area rugs which are ruggables, and with the laser brush it has to be on eco otherwise it pulls them up. The other head it comes with does not work at all over ruggables. I don’t have any other ‘carpet’ so I cannot speak to its abilities with that. There are so many attachments this model comes with but there’s no where to store them – I would like to see some extra attachments for the floor dok to store them all. All in all though, highly satisfied with my purchase. I feel as though this is a prime example of “pay for what you get”. It’s a hefty price tag but I suspect this will last me years!Lindz02
This vacuum has the best suction and with 2 golden retrievers I need it but here are the cons It’s heavy and you have to hold in the switch to keep it running guessing this is to preserve the battery. All of the weight of the vacuum as at your wrist and hand and while 4.5 lbs doesn’t seem like much as you are holding it and the on button it is very stressful to your arm wrist and hand. When moving from hardwood to shag (I have all hardwood and two 8×10 shag type area rugs) the beater bar stops and the machine quits working even when you stop and move it to the highest setting so it won’t vacuum my area rugsI can’t even hardly push it through the carpet. I can let it and set it down and pull it. . It will do low pile rugs. Then it won’t stand up on its own you have to lean it on something or never stop vacuuming. I can get through most of my house 1400 square foot with the light before it dies or moves to eco. The head does not easily release to use just the end to get into tight spaces or replace with another attachment. The cord for the battery is actually quite short if you’re hoping to plug it in a closet or hide away place. Sleek as it may seem I don’t want a vacuum hanging up as decor so I’m going to have to add a plug somewhere out of sight. The pros are the light and suction provided you can really get every hair and see all dust if your room is not to bright the light really shows everything I turn down the lights to vacuum crazy I will definitely not buy another and totally regret this purchase for the price it really should come with two batteries and be able to vacuum carpet. I waited almost a year for the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute (also known by other names in UK/AUS markets) to come back into stock. By the time Dyson Rewards came back for 2022 it was well worth the free Dok and extra tools. Dubbed Dyson’s most powerful cordless Vacuum (for now until/if Gen5 arrives on North American shores), the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute is no slouch at peak 230AW. However running on these settings, are also it’s biggest flaw. At full boost, the battery will run down in sub 10 minutes, although clever marketing might make it seem like you’d get a full 60 minutes if you don’t read carefully. The auto settings are a good happy medium, with the Dyson able to detect if it needs to allocate a quick boost to suck up more stubborn/larger particles, however for legacy Dyson users (used to the superior and non time limited 306 AW) or people who like the power of a commercial vacuum, it can leave you a little wanting. To test whether or not the boost vs auto made much of a difference, I tested with the lights off, and vacuumed a standard hardwood floor. Dyson adverts typically show the user walking in a straight line seamlessly sucking up the path ahead, so this was the approach taken to ensure accurate repro. On auto, at first look, the Dyson missed some areas on first pass, as well as struggled with elevated parts of the flooring. Boost picked up particles no problem, but at the expense of the battery life. The laser sees *everything* missed, but also might make you even more of a clean freak. For spot checking (on plush animals, furniture and cushions), boost worked well and I could complete most tasks within the 10 minute time constraints. 4.5 hours seems like a long time to wait before being able to use the device again however especially with quick charge technology available in 2022. Pros: • Best Cordless Dyson in North America today. • Laser is amazing. • LED is great for toggling between settings and validating the work that has been done. • Boost is nothing to scoff at. Cons: • Very short battery life on boost. • Tool clip and nozzle shipped in *free additional tools* non-compatible. • As with most Dyson products, the fact they are made from silicon/plastic works as a magnet to attract dust and I find dust on the exterior of the housing on most days. One last piece, not exclusively related to the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute, but related to the items received in the bundle, the tool (specifically the noozle), did not fit flush in the tool clip which allows you to connect 2x tools to either the dock or the wand. I tried alternating all tools, angles, tightness of the clip, and still could not get the nozzle to fit without protruding (show in image), so came to the conclusion this is was missed in their considerations design. There is another nozzle (and light nozzle) which should fit onto the tool clip, but this did not ship in the tool bundle, and, would cost additional to buy. Either the tool clip needs to be redesigned to compensate for the added rim around the nozzle shipped or, this should be remedied through replacement program. • Not too heavy (can also be held with both hands for added weight distribution).

I've been using this product for a little over a month. My first initial reaction was that this product is just okay. A few weeks later my feelings haven't changed. First thing I noticed was that the battery life isn't great. On regular mode I can get the entire house (minus one carpeted room that's about 120 sqft or so) vacuumed and still have a some battery life left. Our house is about 1500 sqft. What I really dislike is that on the max suction mode the battery lasts about seven to 10 minutes on a full charge. I understand that it is high battery usage but on heavy cleaning and dusting days this is frustrating. After a regular vacuuming session I have to wait another five hours for this thing to fully charge just to use it another few minutes in order to get dusting done which is extremely inconvenient. If Dyson would have made it with the option to work while on the charger / still plugged in it would have made ALL of the difference. I haven't used it on the one room in our house that is carpeted and I honestly don't know if that is even possible with any of the connections. It didn't come with a user manual like all other products electronic products that I have purchased. It did have a sheet that gave you a link to an online user manual but I am more of a paper in my face type of person. I have having to click through links to find what I need. It does come with quite a few connectible pieces. I don't really know what the difference between a few of them are or what they're even called but I haven't had any issues using them so no complaints with those. The item itself is extremely convenient and easy to use. I REALLY wish that it came with maybe a retractable chord to plug in when the batter life isnt sufficient. I have been a Dyson owner since early 2005 (I still have that one and it still works). I was using the Dyson V7 Animal until my wife purchased this upgraded one for me. Right away, I could feel and see the difference! With 2 children, a large dog (that never stops shedding), and my wife and I, keeping our house clean is nearly impossible. The Dyson V8 Animal Pro has been amazing and extremely helpful! I only have 3 general complaints about it, which stop me from giving it a 5 Star Review. First, the container becomes full very quickly and having to empty it so often is a little annoying (I know the newer models have addressed that). Second, the stick portion is a little short for taller people like me and I don’t think that adding a second stick would function well not be practical; this causes me to have to lean over while vacuuming, which means my back starts aching. Third, a lack of accessories! There are more attachment tools for my V7 than my newer V8. More directly, there doesn’t seem to be a hard floor attachment option. I have checked their website, but there are no hard floor tools offered for this vacuum (Dyson V8 Animal Pro). I would be particularly interested in the tool that worked on both the carpet and hard floors. Other than that, I really do love this little vacuum.DaBear
This is the second Dyson I have owned. The previous one I purchased at a retailer that offered an extended warranty for purchase. The vacuum stopped working shortly after the Dyson two year warranty. The extended warranty company was great. We sent the vacuum to them and they determined they could not repair it and refunded the entire amount that we paid for the vacuum. The second one we purchased at Costco and they did not offer the extended warranty, but talked us into purchasing because they would take back if we had any problems. Well once again right after the two year Dyson warranty has expired, the vacuum is not working correctly again. Pretty sure Costco won't take back after two years, although I will also complain to them. They are a great vacuum, just a lot of expense for something that lasts only two years. I hope some of the other companies venturing into cordless stick vacuums become successful because I don't want to keep buying a vacuum that does not last.K Wood

I bought this vacuum in 2018 when my 1st little one arrived. It was great at picking up the crumbs. We used this daily for 2-5 minute intervals around the dinner table. After about 1.5 years the batter on it died. It's not replaceable either which means the unit is junk. I contacted B&D to do a warranty claim and they sent me a "new" replacement. Well guess what's happened again after about 1.5 years of the same use… Battery is dead AGAIN! I tried contacting B&D again and was asked multiple questions about the unit lastly being the inscribed manufactured date on the bottom of the unit. It was from 2018, meaning 1.5 years ago when the 1st vacuum died, they gave me an old, and probably refurbished unit. This date meant that I could no longer receive any type of warranty work, even though when I received the vacuum it sure wasn't in 2018… I will not be purchasing a replacement at this point and will go out of my way to no recommend this product to other.JoeBazooka
I give it 5 out of 5 over all for suction power and the ability to clean out the whole canister in the garbage with just the push of a button. You can actually clean the whole canister and filter with with soap and water let it air dry. The filter is reusable and cleans out very well. It’s unbelievable what things this vacuum actually picks up. I love LED head light lamps on the front of the vacuum you can really see the dirt and hair when the lights are on and off! The real bonus about this vacuum is the cordless feature no cords to worry about. Turn it on and go! The only negative thing that really disappoints me is the battery power only last 5 to 10 mins if your lucky this is super frustrating. I actually end up buying a new Black Decker battery for $77 off of Amazon.ca. This battery last anywhere from 20 to 30 mins longer the vacuum runs like a dream now. I got this model of Bed, Bath and Beyond website. I loved this vacuum. It was my birthday present and my husband and I drove down to the States to get one that was on sales there. It was easy for me to carry around and the hose helped me get into smaller place. So much better than your typical dust buster. Within a few years the battery became very weak and I only have about 20 seconds of power now. I called around and there is no battery replacement for it. Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum is light weight & really easy to remove the canister from the stick stick. Glides nicely over our entire house which has mostly wood floors and tile, but did well on multiple rugs with different pile heights. It even comes with attachments to clean the stairs, furniture or our SUV & truck. We had a different cordless one but needed a vacuum we didn’t have to worry about running out of battery 1/2 way through our home. The cord is super long so that helps us from having to re-plug every few feet. The dust compartment is simple to empty and clean out with a press of a button. We have 2 dogs and 4 kids so we’re constantly vacuuming, the power is awesome and it’s convenient to easily unload the debris. It’s lightweight too, so it’s easy for me to move around the house without it being a hassle. There is a little downside to it, which is that it doesn’t stand on its own, so you’ll have to either prop it on something or fold it (which is easy) in order to do something else if needed while vacuuming. So I’m taking it down a star for that since I do have to stop and pick up toys etc having kids & pets constantly playing.Heathermthomas
The Shark Rocket Pro, picks up VERY well. The area I first vacuumed with it, was a area that had been vacuumed the day before. Within five minutes, the Shark had picked up A LOT more. The vacuum was easy to assemble and the attachment comes apart easily to be able to vacuum the ceiling and other had to get to areas. The Shark glides across any floor easily and turns easily. The only drawback I found with this Shark machine was the motor was near the top of the handle and it made the machine top heavy. It doesn’t stand on it’s own. There are two small attachments that didn’t have anywhere to attach to the machine, that I could find. But, as well as this machine works, I find these to be minor problems. As you can see from the photo, it picked up quite a bit after only a five minute vacuum. I have animals and cleaning hair has always been a problem.adcatex6
This Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum works GREAT ! I really like how light weight it is, I can very easily maneuver it around the house with little effort and let me say how GREAT it picks up all the dirt and debris from my floors. My carpets are much cleaner/fluffy and my hardwood floors are cleaned better than when I sweep. I am very excited and satisfied at how much debris/hair/dust/dirt was in the debris container. This vacuum has PLENTY of attachments that I can use on my stairs and I'll even be cleaning my curtains and window seals. As small as this vacuum is, is does the job QUICKLY and very EFFECTIVELY, much much better than my current canister vacuum. This Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum is much quieter and very stronger in terms of suction than ANY vacuum I've ever owned. I went from 45 minutes of vacuuming to 15 minutes, WHAT A GREAT IMPROVEMENT ! I LOVE DYSON. It’s been a love affair for @15 or so years. I had the V-6 and made an excuse that college child needed so I could get the V-11animal. No one in my house were allowed to use. It WAS my baby – empty nester at the time. I bought it shortly after it first came out so it has the screwed in battery. I needed a cordless vacuum that was able to pick up Belgian Malinois Shepard fur from H _ _ _, easy to use, lighter than a full vacuum BUT WORK AS WELL OR BETTER than a full-size – I have chronic back pain and fibromyalgia and numbness… Yes in my crazy perfect vacuum dream world this existed and it DID! Thanks Dyson! It checked EVERY box of my needs, well except price. It was the most I have ever spent on something for me but dang it I deserved it and NEEDED it. It has been absolutely incredible! I would have told you 2 years ago do whatever you need to and buy bc it has incredible suction, awesome holders for tools with wall mount and on pole, adjustable suction on torque floor tool, adjust able power – Eco for low dirt area, Auto and Boost for deeper and stronger suction. So those are PROS. CONS are you need to press trigger to power it so with my neuropathy in hands at times I cannot vac, need to remove any attachments to empty dirt bin, after @8-12 months the bin empty slide started to stick, and then at 2 years (WARRANTY EXPIRED) and @5 months it started to shut off and then turn on. Called customer support and and they did a video troubleshoot and said it’s the battery. Well no battery in stock. Actually ABSOLUTELY ZERO SPARE PARTS for my baby have been in stock for over a month now! A week or so later it stopped more and then shut down. Called again and told it was the cyclone part (a guy on YouTube had same exact issue but his warranty was still active) BUT NO PART available. He told me to call or go to my nearest Dyson service center. Well the nearest in @1.25hrs. away. I do not have a car – getting divorced so I took my Dyson V11 animal and he got our 25 y/o car worth about the same. He fought for my V11 which was honestly a no win – I don’t know what he was thinking. I rarely ever leave reviews but this thing is great! This is my first Dyson purchase and I have a German Shepard mix who sheds constantly, this V11 handles his hair with ease. I love the flexibility to use it anywhere with the attachments that are included, my personal favorite is the mini motorized tool. The simple design makes it easy to clean and maintenance. This thing picks up dirt that you don’t even see, especially in carpets and area rugs. I am also one who cares about packaging and this thing is packaged perfectly. The only downside, like all electronics is the battery life. 5 to 6 minutes on boost mode is not enough for a vacuum of this cost. I would like to see Dyson sell an additional king power cord that can be used to power the vacuum directly more like a traditional vacuum if needed for those of us with bigger houses with lots of carpeted areas.Jxustin
After reading these reviews I can't help but think that these machines are designed to last for roughly 2.5 years. My machine did the exact same thing that others have written about. I purchased this machine back in January 2020, about a month ago it started cutting off during use. The cutting off started getting more frequently to the point where the machine stays on for about 2 seconds before cutting off which makes it inoperable. So I call the service center to be told that my machine is out of warranty as of January 2022 and a replacement motor will cost $116. It is really unfortunate that a $700 machine is designed to last 2.5 years before you have to put more money into it. The sad part about it is that most people will pay the $116 because you can not get a new decent vac for that price and secondly, you have already invested $700 in this machine. It is very disheartening, and I wish I would have went with a different brand.Trise

We've got a couple large area rugs on otherwise all terrazzo floors. Recently adopted a short double coated Aussie Shepherd Beagle mix that has now begun shedding. This vacuum works great for our situation, the smaller head being easy to maneuver around and under tables and recliners. Intermittent use up to 30min for the rugs does cause the vacuum head to get pretty hot, not where you hold it, but to the exhaust side. Being corded delivers plenty of suction power without the added battery weight of a similarly capable cordless vac. I agree with others that upright storage could have been better executed. I'd suggest Shark include some kind of wall mount to hang it up when not in use. Overall happy with the product, although the price point around $200 on sale with coupon still seems a bit high in my opinion.Kent
1 person, 1 cat household. The vacuum has good suction BUT the cat hair gets stuck around a small metal peice and doesn't make it to the bin. If you have more than 1 pet – this is NOT the best unit. 1 room = empyting the bin and removing the hair from around the metal piece. It also cannot stand alone which is highly annoying. I don't want to take the motor off and attach it to the stick so that it will be self standing. DUMB design. It gets HOTTER than a Texas summer day very quickly. You cannot find the accessories listed in the maintaince booklet online. I guess they don't exist. You can find replacement filers. This is more of an electric broom than a vacuum cleaner. It does a great job getting under furniture and cleans well on both carpet and bare floor. I have 2 dogs so I was trying to get to hard to reach areas. It does that well with the attachments included but I wish it had a brush. However, it’s made for small areas because it needs to be emptied often (easily) because it’s quite small. It also overheated after about 30 minutes of what I guess was too much work for it. Waiting an hour to turn it back on is a bummer. It’s a bit awkward to use as the handheld part at the top is heavy. As a result it won’t stand up on it’s own. You have to lay it down. It has it’s uses but doesn’t replace my old Shark. It’s much smaller and not much lighter.Mary

I bought this primarily for hardwoods, two (low-medium pile rugs) and light vacuuming in my car. Terrible on each surface!! it MIGHT pick up a few random hairs of small things off the hardwoods but, thats a maybe, at best. I even spilled dry rice down to test it and, nada! This vacuum is perfect as a toddlers first vacuum to play with because the suction is not strong at all. The attachment tools make it even worse. Would not recommend
I needed a vacuum to pick up cat litter from the litter mat as well as the hardwood floor of the room where the litter boxes are located. A regular vacuum was too heavy for me to use comfortably. We have a very good Dyson portable stick vacuum but the litter granules don't stay in the canister and fall out when I am finished. I purchased this Bissell due to the reviews. This is fantastic! As others have said, it almost looks like a child's toy. It is all plastic and extremely light weight. However, it picks up litter like a champ and holds it in the canister until it is emptied. I do have to change or clean the filter about once a week due to the build up of cat hair. This is quite easy to do. I would advise getting only Bissell filters as I have found that generic ones are not a perfect fit and Bissell filters are no more expensive than generic ones. I also advise having extra filters on hand. I ordered 4 from Bissell many, many months ago and they have all held up well. To clean them, I vacuum out the cat hair with another vacuum and then squirt a little Dawn dish detergent on the filter, hold it under running water while I gently rub all sides of the outside of the filter with my fingers. Rinse well and then let air dry. To me, the cleaned ones are just as good as a new filter. They are very durable. There is also a sponge filter at the end of the vacuum part that I did not notice for a while. I would recommend getting one or two for spares. I just gently shake it out when dirty. It is pretty small. I have given up taking off the main attachment and using the nozzle because I can't get the main attachment off. I don't care. I really do not need the nozzle. I cannot say enough about how great this is for my needs. It works great for hard floors. It will do a fine job of picking up litter that rests on or near the top surface of a carpet. It would not be great for deeper cleaning of a carpet.
I was a bit worried with so many negative reviews, but I love this vacuum. It is so light and easy to carry around. It picks up everything as long as you frequently empty the filter. I also take a can of compressed air to blow the filter clean from the inside out. It is well made, and all the parts fit well. I like the floor cleaner for picking up pet hair because it has no rollers where the hair gets tangled. The blue color is beautiful, and the unit leans against the wall without falling over. The cord could be a bit longer, but I have a lot of outlets, so no problem. I am very happy with the purchase. The price was very reasonable.Nancy

I am a highly experienced electronic repair technician. I just rebuilt a Shark Rotator Professional lift-away vacuum. Of course users fail to replace or clean all three filters causing loss of suction. Cleaning these with warm water and dawn dish soap works best. The unit claims to have thermal monitoring protection on the brush roll base and its design is causing the complaints of failure to work on carpeting in consumer homes. There is no thermal sensor. It uses a D.C. motor to a circuit board where a series low ohm current drop resistor exists. When the motor is slowed , thwe motor draws more current which lowers the resistence in the moter resistor series circuit causing increased voltage drop on the resistor triggering the circuit and activating the motors disconnect relay turning off motor. Although it does much to protect the motor in case of armature freezing with current applied. It makes the consumer unhappy because they cant vacuum carpets as they expect to paying almost 400 dollars for this nice vacuum. The fast fix is simply taking a soldering iron and lifting on side of the feed back silicon diode and reassembling unit. Now you will find the brush roll attachment actually works and does an awesome cleaning job on any carpet. Be sure to use caution and not pick up things that will jam the brush roller and break the belt. If this happens please turn off vacuum unplug and remove obstruction from brush roller. Then plug back in and finish vacuuming. I hope this helps others, mine is now issue less and working awesome.MissTiffany2025
Okay, this vacuum cleaner is actually FUN to run! It’s lightweight and very flexible. The long wand makes getting corners, cracks and crevices a breeze. Only drawback is the base will tip over if you stretch the hose too far, so keep an eye on it as you use the wand. Cleaning stairs is easy with the “Lift Away” feature. The NV501 has strong suction and durability. Do your regular maintenance as other reviews have mentioned, and store it properly. It’s super easy to take apart when needed. I accidentally sucked up a microfiber cloth once, but was able to open the hose at the right spot and pull the cloth right out. We’ve had our NV501 for almost a decade and still no problems. Have purchased this particular model as gifts for friends and family. Highly recommended.DB
I’ve had this model for about 5 years and yes occasionally you’ll have to cut some hair off the powdered brush if you have long hair or girls around or just heavy traffic I guess but that takes literally 20 seconds. Grab a pair of scissors, cut the hair and pull it out. Any vacuum with a brush is going to eventually wrap up hair! The vacuum has one killer motor, it cleans like nothing I’ve ever seen. I’m continuously impressed by the vast amount of dander, dust, and allergens it grabs every single time! I love how the handle comes off to clean small areas such as my couch cushions, behind furniture, etc. (I have this model which cane with ALL the attachments so I may have paid a bit more but it was definitely worth it) the only other difference is the colors. Mine has dark blue where the red is shown. I absolutely love how I can detach the base when going up stairs as shown in the photo. I don’t use the tiny “car part cleaners” which also came with the bulk of attachments but I guess it’s there if I were to ever need it. My fav attachment is the smaller roller brush that literally eats every cat hair off my dining room chairs and wherever else I need it. Anyway I suppose I could go on but you get my drift. By the way of course after awhile the vacuum will accumulate dust around the base and hose (I’ve seen someone post photos here of their dirty vacuum lol) but it’s a vacuum! It’s going to get dirty! My last thought pertains to the newest model I believe, the NV1000 with the “self cleaning brush” or double brush very bulky looking one. Although I haven’t used it, I personally don’t think it is going to sell much in the end. I say that with regards to the current reviews and complaints along with the marketing aspect in mind. What I conclude is just logical: once again as long as there is a revolving brush or in this case 2 rolling brushes, in time there WILL BE a hair issue as long as there are women, girls, and pets around. My old Dyson DC16 recently died and I was frantic to find a similar replacement. I was just looking for a cordless handheld to quickly vacuum up small areas or spot clean. I saw this V8 cordless Motorhead looked almost identical to my deceased Dyson and an extra perk was that it had a detachable wand so I wouldn't have to bend down/stretch for those hard to reach places. It was $100 off so I ordered it. Straight out of the box, it was heavy. My arm was instantly tired after trying to use it above my head. Multiple issues: The air powerful air coming out of the exhaust vents blows debris everywhere. My small contained mess was now scattered everywhere! The direct driver power head has a plastic guide on the front. This makes it impossible to suck up anything that is larger than that clearance space. I have a parrot that drops sunflower seed shells and Cheerio cereal on the floor and this Dyson just pushes them in front of the vacuum. No room for them to be picked up because of that guide. Strike 3 for me was emptying the dust container. You have to pull hard upward to lift the head off the vacuum which then triggers the dust container bottom to swing open. This did not work easily or smoothly at all. Basically, I had to use two hands to both pry the top part up while pulling the bottom flap down to empty. If it were just one small flaw, I'd get over it but this isn't an inexpensive vacuum! I am beyond disappointed and now I have to drag it back to the Club for a refund.TMc

Our two year old loves to help vacuum too – that's how light the stick vacuum is! Being cordless is such a plus!!! Only wish that the batteries weren't so expensive, but that's not a huge deal. We purchased one extra battery just so both the handheld and stick have their own batteries. I will say that the handheld is far inferior to the stick, but it works for what we need (to do the stairs and our cars) – just have to go over the same areas multiple times, as the suction isn't stellar. I would recommend and purchase the stick vacuum again for sure… just probably not the handheld.Moon
I bought this cordless vac because I like any conveniences I can get when it comes to house work. I use my floor cleaners more often when cordless. I can glady skip wrapping/unwrapping, plugging/unplugging cords in and out of electrical outlets from room to room. I've been happy with this cordless since I got it last July (not quite one year old). It was an upgrade overall from what I had. However the hose got a hole in it not about 6-7 months in. Not from anything I could figure out. I duct taped it and after a second hole, I contacted the Manufacturer, since it's still within a 3 year warranty. They said the hose is not made anymore – already out of making the parts??? They will replace it — okay, — but I have to mail the whole vac back on my dime. They will pay for the shipment of the new unit. Which may be kinda fair, but it's too soon for this type of episode with a not quite a year old vacuum. Since the parts are not being made – there's no commitment to this product by the mfr. I did not buy at this store, but thought I would let someone know if considering — please don't do it.Chickee
I was going back and forth between this and the shark navigator cordless. They seemed pretty even on reviews. I mostly decided on this because it's was on sale on the Hoover website! I had to wait a little longer to get it then I would from other sites(about 5 days from the day I ordered it) but it was worth the price difference for sure. I was worried about it as I have 4 dogs. A great dane(high shedder short hair), a Mini Aussie( How shedder clumpy hair), a King Shepherd(high shedder clumpy long hair) and a Cheweenie(high shedder short hair. I also have a maine coon cat. So, I essentially have lots of hair everywhere, all the time. I do NOT know how this performs on carpers because I bought it for my wood floors( bathrooms(2), hallway, entryway, dining room, and kitchen.) So far it has worked great for me. I have had ZERO clog issues despite the amount of hair it has to pick up and I have been able to vacuum all the above mentioned rooms in one swoop without the battery going dead. It picks everything up easily. I actually accidentally sucked up a good size piece of paper today and really though it would cause my first clog, but atlas it didn't. So far this vacuum is performing perfectly for me. I think the only downside I can think of as of now is the fact that a replacement battery is 100$. However, there are off brand batteries other places that are compatible with this vacuum for half the price, and the reviews on them state that they actually work better than the original hoover battery… So, I will probably just go that route whenever I need a new battery. I bought this for a friend that has back issues and vacuuming is difficult. She loves it, but she didn't have high expectations. I tried setting up the app but was unable to resolve wifi connectivity issues. I didn't try that hard, so maybe it could be resolved with a larger investment in time. It is run manually, as needed, and seems to work well as it transitions from hard floors to medium height pile carpeting. It can't always seem to find its base, but she doesn't keep the base right out in the open, as suggested, because it wouldn't look very nice. Small modifications to the house help it avoid problems, like a bumper on a fire place to keep the bot from going too far in and causing damage to trim, also, lowered a threshold between rooms so that the bot could cross over in both directions. It does have fairly impressive off-road capabilities and was making it over a large threshold, but was trapped on the other side. The terrain doesn't need to be really flat. If your willing to work with it and don't expect it to work miracles, it can be a purchase you don't regret. It has been almost a year of ownership. No parts to be replaced yet.
I admit, I am a robot groupie. As such, I've have about 8 vacuum bots over the years including the first Roomba (had no numbers in the name, just Roomba). I also have 7 cats and 2 dogs, so you know the Roombas are working in our house. If you have deep pile carpeting, this is the best bang for the buck of the major brands on the market. At present, I also have the i6 (exactly like the i7), and although it is great on floors and short pile carpeting I have in the kitchen and living room (and I absolutely LOVE the automatic empty feature), it's not great on the deep pile carpets I have in my bedroom. I also have a Eufy 11s and it is good for floors, but not for carpeting. The Shark is basically useless. However, this guy is great! The brushes really clean the carpets well, and when it finishes, the carpets look as though they have been vacuumed with a heavy duty, non-robotic, plug-in vacuum. This is not just my own opinion. I've other folks look and they were quite honestly surprised by how well the 690 vacuumed the carpets. "It works this well on the carpets? I thought robot vacuums were only for floors." I love this robot!
I was skeptical that a battery powered vacuum could get results similar to a regular corded vac. I was right. It picks up surface stuff fairly well but is no substitute for a real vacuum. Having said that, we do find it very useful for cleaning up pet hair. We leave it to run in a room when we are gone and the receptacle has a good amount of dist and hair in it. It keeps the carpet a little cleaner between vacuuming. The sweeping pattern is totally random and it tends to stay in one spot for a long time before moving on. When it encounters an obstacle it does an almost full turn and collides with the same object. If you leave it in one small room. block off the areas under dressers and such that it tends to get lodged under, it's handy enough. Our side sweeper brush motor burned out after four months and I read that it should be taken out and cleaned regularly. This is not mentioned in the instructions. For this much money you can buy a mid-range upright which I would recommendSteveC

Honestly haven’t had any major complaints about the vacuum. We do have kids so we use it probably every other day to 2 days. It’s a compact vacuum which is a plus. The one tiniest complaint I’d have is after going back and forth a couple times there are some items that you would think the vacuum would pick up, but doesn’t. Instead, I use the detachable wand for those odd pieces. I should clarify, the vacuum has picked up 99% of what is seen on the carpet. It’s just those random odd stragglers and it doesn’t happen every time. As for our tiles, I just use the wand to pick up anything necessary then jet swift it but that’s a different product.GL
To start off I would have to say that the Dirt Devil Endura Max Upright vacuum is a high quality performing product. There is very great suction when it comes to pet hair and even popcorn in the carpet that my child had spilled. The spinning brush is adjustable to many settings. Such as bare floor to higher profile carpet. It does a great job of pulling dirt and hair out of my medium profile carpet. It isn't to heavy so when I use the extended hose handle I can carry it from place to place. One thing in was not a fan of was the multi dusting piece. It was a little to bulky to fit into my window seal to get that dirt out. The smaller end was also not long and thin enough to fit into my dryer vent. The dusting piece also added extra unnecessary bulk. It is a nice concept but it isn't as great as the individual pieces. Other than my opinion on the duster, I really enjoy and love my Dirt Devil Endura Max Upright vacuum. If you are contemplating this purchase, I recommend you try this product. Other than marrying my ex husband, buying this vacuum was the worst decision of my life. It is bulky and cheap plastic. Extremely loud and makes my arm go numb from all of the vibration! It has a "hardwood" setting but the brush still spins in that setting, which can scratch the hardwood. I was excited about the pet brush attachment, but is doesn't really work since the attachment will NOT stay on the hose or in the attachment holder, for that matter. It does not have much suction, I feel running a lint brush over the carpet would pick up more! I won't even give this vaccum away because I wouldn't want anyone to hate me!BBB Customer

Love hate relationship with my vacuum. It’s very very verryyyy amazing at actually getting up all of the dirt, dust, food particles. It has great suction, and the attachments have nice features: a nice angled piece for corners and a great upholstery tool with the brushes on both sides that works FANTASTICALLY for pet hair!! The only thing I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT STAND … Why is the containment chamber sooooo small!! like I can only clean the stairs and upstairs hall have to empty, do 2/3 medium sized bedrooms. full. Living room and dining room. Have to empty it again!! if it’s too full like you try to squeeze in the last bit of the 3rd room you have to empty from top and bottom of the chamber which literally makes such a mess (making more stuff I have to vacuum sad face) and on top of that as cool as the really long detachable from the body tube is , stuff gets stucckkkk like soo baddd!!! I have owned a few different vacuum cleaners , made by different manufacturers over the last few years . And each one has lasted barely over a year. Now I'm not a person who vacuums multiple times in a week. Honestly , I may vacuum once every 2-3 weeks. So the old ones didn't crap the bed due to being over used. Before buying this fantastic vacuum , I did my due diligence and did a lot of research and read a ton of product reviews. By far I felt that this Shark vacuum was the best fit for me and I was right. This vacuum is okay. I broke my other Shark Navigator, the NV586 purple one, about a year ago and needed a quick replacement so I thought this one would be just as good. It was not. It was fine but really just not powerful enough to handle my 4 kiddos and two pets. So I went looking for an upgrade and I am coming back to write a review finally becuase I recently purchased the new Shark Vertex DuoClean (AZ2002) and OMG I never knew what I was literally missing. One single pass over an 8×10 rug and the DuoClean picked up more dirt and hair than any other vacuum I have ever owned. No exaggeration, I think I picked up years worth of nasty that I had no idea was still in there. As a bonus, it also glides over the hardwood floors picking up everything instead of scattering it like other vacuums and now I am also throwing away my brooms. After owning three Sharks and one Dyson, I would recommend the DuoClean forever. So the NV360 is fine for single folks with no pets or kids who also don't need to do hardwood floors, otherwise watch for a sale and snag the new DuoClean.Karilyn82

We have a German Shepard that sheds like mad all year long. One could build another dog out of all the fur he sheds! We purchased the Bissell Crosswave a few weeks ago and I am thoroughly impressed. Our area rugs have never been cleaner (they are dark blue so the fur REALLY shows!). And it's so easy and convenient to use. The canister is easy to remove and empty. The wand is easy to take off and use for those nooks and crannies with the slim tool (which has a handy brush that slides up for dusting). Setting the height level while vacuuming works like a dream. With our old vac you had to turn off the vac to adjust the height. It has amazing suction. The power cord is nice and long so you don't have to keep moving it to a different outlet to reach. It's the best vacuum I've ever used on bare floors as well. It doesn't shoot the debris around but actually picks it up! The inside of the canister has removable parts that can be rinsed off as well which is a nice feature as here in Arizona it's very dusty. If I could give more stars, I definitely would!Kaarin
I have a German Shepherd who is very floofy. I narrowed down my choices between the Bissell CleanView® Rewind Pet Vacuum Cleaner ad the Dyson Animal II. I have had 2 Dysons before. The feature that made me decide on the Bissell is that it has an adjustment dial for 5 different brush heights so whatever you are vacuuming can be done effortlessly with just the right amount of suction regardless of the surface – tile, this rug, p[lush carpet etc. I have tile, carpets and rugs. The other strong selling point was the included upholstery attachment, which works like a dream on dog hair. The only thing I feel that could be improved is the length of the electrical cord. I had no idea that my carpets, my floors, my home was THAT bad until I used this incredible cleaning machine! I knew my old vacuum (also a Bissel) was needing replaced, and the suction on it still worked well but it had some other issues so I decided to buy a new vacuum, Boy oh boy am I glad that I did! After vacuuming my no carpeted floors with this vacuum, they looked like I had just mopped them! It picks up pet hair like a pro! I love how the canister opens up at the bottom with just the push of a button, no mess, no fuss! And one of my other favorite features of this vacuum is the self wind up cord! What a time saver and back saver! I get so tired of winding the cord up. Also it makes it easier to bring from room to room without having to trail a cord behind you or get caught up in it! Yes, I love this vacuum! It works so good that if ever the makers of Bissell came to me and asked me to do a commercial for them, not only would I do it, I do it for free! Pros: It was noticeable how the rotating brushes really groomed the carpet pile with good suction & is driven by its own motor within the head. The additional accessory; small longer rotating brush used on the stairs without the long poll made a great job of the stairs. Cons: We have just purchased this v8 to replace a v6 animalBoth vacs connections seem not to join rigidly with a bit of play which will eventually put extra stress & would benefit from some kind of rubber grommet between the connecting long poll to tighten both the head & main casing. Also the replacement batteries seem expensive. The charger wire insulation is too stiff & made of some kind of vinyl/inflexible plastic which seems inflexible & eventually splits & uncovers the very thin wires next to the 3 prong plug body, which can then pull away.We have had 5 batteries with the older model & note this new one is the same. They all become split eventually. Needs to be a rubberised material instead.Ian
I got a V7 in Jan 2019. Initially, and for about 1.5 yrs., I thoroughly enjoyed it. Then my housecleaner told me a charge didn't last more than 10 mins. Because I have another plug-in vacuum, I didn't think much of it at the time. Then I hired another cleaner. She brought her own vacuum so it hasn't been used at all since Jan 2022. Just in the last week, I tried to use it and it only lasted about 30 seconds. I had a very good experience with the website and service person on the phone but I have been advised that a new battery is necessary. If that is correct, I must say that I am disappointed in Dyson. I expected better performance from their machine. For a machine that is 3 1/2 yrs. old and only used perhaps 2 years of that (and not solely because I have another machine), I think the battery should last longer. And, if the cost of the battery is 1/4 of the price of the machine, I think that is even more disappointing. And, it's the cost of the battery + shipping. My carpenter husband has battery powered tools, uses them consistently and has never had to replace a battery. That knowledge doesn't help me. Is it possible that the charging station is defective? At any rate, as much as I loved it in the beginning, I'm pretty unhappy at present. I recommended my vacuum to lots of friends at first but now, I would have to tell them the whole story and what to expect.Bren
The Good: The vacuum unit itself is exceptional, with excellent suction, ease of maintenance, run time, and insofar longevity; it competes well with your average full-sized canister vacuums, which is truly impressive given the size of the Dyson. The hype, on this front, is valid. The Bad: However, the well-built central unit is let down by tools and accessories with components made from fragile, heat-molded plastic. Essentially, only the mechanical drive components are made from metal (I think), but everything else is plastic. While Dyson boasts that the main machine body is made from "ABS Polycarbonate" (think: riot shields), the smaller components seem to be made of high-density polyethylene or similar material. Our smaller motorized head unit suffered a breakage in the head-to-guard joint, which should not be the case for a relatively new, seldom used part. The use of brittle plastic in such a high-wear area by the spinning rotor seems at best poor design, at worst planned obsolescence. I understand that full-metal construction is a thing of the past, but "full-plastic" construction is not a viable alternative; some components need to be metal, full stop. The Ugly: Unfortunately, warranty details are misleading as they apparently do not include the tools, and nowhere in the warranty documentation provided was there a distinction between "tools" and the "unit." While I understand that normal wear-and-tear is to be expected and therefore not covered by warranty, I am disappointed with the craftsmanship of a really expensive product that utilizes non-durable heat-molded plastic for high-stress areas, specifically around moving joints. The concern is that having both motorized head units break renders the unit unable to clean carpet or furniture fabric, reducing 90% of its utility, and will cost you ~$200 extra to purchase the new motorized heads. In closing; a great unit overall, but my confidence in the product is let down by the fragility of the core tools and some of the convenient language of the warranty provided. Either warranty everything you produce or make it clear that the warranty only applies to the literal vacuum itself.Marcus_W

There are some issues with tht vacumm that I am not satified with. First it only comes with onlt a Pivoting Dusting Tool (Brush) , and crevice tool. The dusting tool is useless unless your going to vacuum fan blades or anything up high, this comes in two pieces, the brush clips to the frame of the part that you insert into the vacuum hose, this brush will come apart at times while using it. The cord is 40 feet long which is a nice feature, but it does not automatically rewind. It is a real chore to rewind the cord by hand. I think it would have been better to have a shorter cord, than no auto rewind. This was billed as the best bagless upright, but when you read the fine print, this statement only refers to carpet floors. My entire house has tile floors, I also have no pets. I based my purchase on the statement best bagless upright, and that it apparently has the best suction. I have used it a few times, and I am just not satified with the parts or design. It does have good suction. I cannot turn of the rotary brush when using the hose and atachments. I cannot actually dust pictures, baseboard, door frames, etc because of the useless dusting tool. It also makes a lot of noise. I was offered some dusting tools because of a complant I made to the sellers, but I have not received them yet, in fact, I just received notice that have just been shipped. I don't have pets so can't say if it is good to clean up after pets, it pains me to say, but I would not recommed it based on the features and lack of tools.Richard
I don't know. Gonna try calling customer service tomorrow. Was given this as a gift three weeks ago and the first time I used it the suction was so strong it tore threads from a throw rug that I was able to vacuum regularly with my older Hoover commercial vac. While I was trying to save the throw rug I ran over the electric cord and had to use electrician tape to patch it up. That's on me I guess but it was not an auspicious start. I've owned less than a month and have never been satisfied. The suction comes & goes both on the main vacuum and the hose. I end up trying to empty and clean it every use to bring the suction back. It still spits out dust. The duster attachment cancels the suction in the hose so I don't bother with it. I just use the hose directly. Tonight when trying to do a quick vacuum there was no suction it literally coughed up a dustball and loose dust. There was a clog in the hose I detached the hose and spent 30 minutes digging the clog out with gravity and chopsticks. Somehow found I'd vacuumed up a ball point pen that punctured the hose. Despite the puncture the suction came back for the hose but not the main vacuum which is blowing air out. I just finished dusting off the vacuum and sweeping the mess up and I gotta say I hate this thing I've only owned it three weeks it was a well intentioned gift but it's just not working. I want my old worn out commercial vacuum back with the disposable bags but I need a version with attachments.Jen
We have purchased this particular style and brand vacuum cleaner before and have been happy with it. We buy this cleaner mostly because it is good picking up dog hair, but It picks up dirt, dust and other things very well too. Our dogs shed a lot and we need a cleaner that can pick up all the hair well. All the dog hair is tough on vacuum cleaners and some other brands have not held up long, but this one does a good job and last longer than others we've bought. We like being able to remove the canister, which is easy to remove and empty, and prefer this over vacuums with bags. It works well on different type of floors and carpets too. Adjusting the height level is easy but wish the dial wasn't located on the bottom part of the vacuum cleaner. It would be nice if it was somewhere towards the top making it more convenient and easy to change. We will buy again and keep buying this vacuum cleaner because it works so well for our purposes.JANET

After a short time of use, I was left slightly unimpressed by this vacuum. I own a similar vacuum by a different manufacturer and there are many features it has, that I wish this Samsung Jet vacuum had, such as a telescoping wand, a spare battery, a stand-alone charging stand, and a bottom emptying dust canister. What I loved the most about this vacuum was how extremely lightweight it is, the suction power, and the low profile vacuum head. I was very disappointed with the battery life of this vacuum, and I also found the pet hair tool (mini motorized tool) to be a mostly useless, battery draining tool. The low profile vacuum head and its powerful suction makes for an excellent vacuum on non-carpeted floors and it picks up pet hair really well. Unfortunately, the tiny wheels on the vacuum head made it difficult to vacuum carpet, which is disappointing for my household since it's a mixture of hardwood and carpet. (It just didn’t glide smoothly across carpet, especially at the higher suction settings.) Additionally, while the low profile vacuum head allows for vacuuming of tight spaces, it really limits the debris size that can be vacuumed up. There are three power levels to vacuum at, low, mid, and max. The mid level does ok but I definitely preferred running the vacuum on the max setting. Unfortunately running at the max significantly reduced the runtime of the vacuum to about 7 minutes, and with only one battery included, this means you're out of luck until it recharges. I did like using the vacuum to reach high spots around the house that tend to collect dust and cobwebs. The light weight of the vacuum and the extension crevice tool made it easy to get to those hard to reach areas without having to pull out a step stool. This is where the lightness of the vacuum really shined, as I was able to go around the entire house vacuuming corners and vents without my arm ever getting tired from holding the vacuum up in the air. Overall, after several days of use, I feel that the performance of this vacuum is just ok / average, especially compared to others on the market. There is definitely room for improvement. The Samsung Jet 60 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum is really lightweight and easy to use with only one hand. It comes with lots of accessories making it very versatile. All of the attachments have a button-click system making it very easy to attach or unattach the different accessories on the fly, so there’s no delay in your cleaning. The vacuum has adjustable suction power and decent suction even on lowest setting, but has even more power when you need it. This vacuum is absolutely great for cleaning those hard to reach places both high and low such as corners, under furniture, air vents, ceiling fans, and window blinds. The Jet 60 is convenient for vacuuming your car. For me, the greatest application for the Jet 60 is vacuuming the stairs. Not having to drag a full sized vacuum up and down the stairs is very nice. The product package states that the battery lasts up to 40 minutes. But when I use it on lowest power setting, I get about 24 minutes before the battery gives out. On full suction power, I only get around 6 minutes of charge. The battery charges quite slowly. After a small job of just a few minutes it takes around half an hour to recharge fully and after a job that depletes the battery completely it takes several hours to recharge fully. This means that it’s really not useful for a whole house cleaning, for that you probably need a corded vacuum. But if you had a small apartment or dorm room it might work fine. Otherwise, it’s mainly useful for spot cleaning and small cleanup jobs like vacuuming the stairs or your car. The dust collection bin is a reasonable size given the battery life, you are likely to run down the battery before the bin is full. The bin consists of 3 parts, one of which is a HEPA filter, and is easy to detach, empty, and clean by rinsing with water. There is a jet of air that comes out of both sides of the vacuum. I mention it because I have experienced these jets blowing dust up into the air while cleaning in especially dusty areas or when vacuuming near loose papers, like on a desk, the papers can get blown around. Overall, the Samsun Jet 60 works quite well, but my biggest complaint is the lack of battery life. I’ve owned other cordless vacuums and getting around 24 minutes of charge time is actually pretty good in comparison.Mkru
Samsung really knocked it out of the park with this little guy. Between my wife and I, we actually enjoy vacuuming. We've even had competitions to see who can clean the most before the battery runs down! It's substantially more than I expected for the size of the battery, you can get a few rooms lightly soiled carpeted rooms in! Not just using it at the lowest speed either! (I'm not sure where Samsung gets the "up to 40mins" number, but I think you'd have to be not using any powered attachments, and at the lowest setting to get close to that, caveat aside, it lasts enough for a quick clean on an average house floor or more!) I also was not expecting it would actually pick up much more than an older hand vacuum that happens to have a long wand/sweeper attachment. It actually functions as a "main" vacuum if you're a frequent cleaner, as it handles deeper messes in a carpet that I was not expecting it to even come close to pulling up all the way. (dog and people hair plus some tracked in dirt/sand that was stepped in, took a few passes, but still managed) It's also not excessively loud, my infant daughter is most intrigued by it and watches us intently, whereas she was frightened/we had to put some hearing protecting on her if we wanted to use our "big" corded vacuum. The ONLY downside I have to this vacuum is the charging/mounting unit, which is why I gave it 4/5 instead of 5/5. Some folks do not want to mount a vacuum and just want it hidden in a closet until use, with a battery charger in the corner maybe out of the way. (The charger mount is a neat idea IF you plan on mounting, since you can charge the battery by itself or leave it in the vacuum and charge through the vacuum without removing the battery)GlennT

For a long time I was considering returning this vacuum. The only reason I haven't is because it works well enough and I don't have the time to go vacuum hunting. It's an okay vacuum but it is literally just okay. The suction is good but after a little while the vacuum becomes hard to push. It does pick up a lot of dirt, dust and hair though. The hose suction is terrible and practically nonexistent. I used the hose to vacuum up a spider which, with my old vacuum, would have killed it. But this vacuum didn't kill it and it somehow escaped (I got it the next day with a shoe but really, it's that easy for them to escape??). Also the attachments will not stay on the vacuum AT ALL so I have to keep them in a bag. The cord is long, but too long. Even if you leave it wound, it often falls off the hooks while vacuuming and gets in the way.JustAGirlFromSomeplace
This vacuum was purchased by my household less about 10 months ago and it's already broken. I have used it almost daily, so it's gotten a lot of use. Worked great at first, but had to replace belts at least once a month because they kept breaking. I was using the vacuum at the correct setting for carpet height, however it kept switching to bare floor mode by itself. I wasn't sure how that was happening. Also, the top part of the handle cracked in half, which I believe is due to design flaw. When you are pushing the vacuum, this seemed to be the point that would bear the most weight and it's the thinnest part of the handle. It's good if you are in need of a vacuum on a budget, but don't expect it to last long.kristywink
Seriously, this thing is epic. Still mostly plastic on the exteripr, but, unlike cheaper vacuums, this has a but of quality and detail to it. The quality of plastics is higher, the quality of molds and designing are better too. This thing is no louder than any other vacuum I have ever owned, with the brush ruler off. But, turn that on (it can be disengaged on the fly with a foot pedal fit quick switching between carpet and hardwood floors – nice), and it is rather loud. You definitely know those brushes are spinning. I am fine with that, but some may be snowflakes about noise (or have sleeping babies – I understand not wanting THIS vacuum if you have a baby and relish a little nap time). If you aren't whisper-thirsty… THIS Vacuum will suck the ghosts out of a haunted carpet. I literally only have two rooms with carpet and a hallway, yet this sucker nearly filled its canister on the FIRST use! Seriously, I pulled up enough dirt, dust, sand dander, and dog fur that I ended up with about two pounds of filth to dump once I was done (and I only vacuumed the master bedroom and hall!!!). If you can get this vacuum for……. under $150, grab it! Easy to assemble, easy to use, very sturdy, very VERY well made for the price I bought mine at, and DOES A DAMN GOOD JOB. Here is what I love about it, personally I have been able to vacuum my whole house on 1 charge. I love not having to unplug, plug, unplug, plug. The second thing I like is that its not heavy. I will say it does collect alot of debris. It also has to really packed and the filter really dirty before acting up and then it will leave debris on the floor. I agree is does not vacuum as well, if the filter is dirty.
What I don't love is that it cuts out like it has a short in it when vacuuming, as if you have released the power button. I dont know if this an actual short or a flawed design but its very frustrating. I would give it more stars if it didn't cut out when vacuuming and that you didn't have to continually hold the power button down while vacuuming. It starts to hurt after a few minutes because I'm trying to make sure it doesn't cut out so I'm squeezing extra hard not even realizing I'm doing it. I am a hotel manager and professional housekeeper. This vacuum sucks at sucking. I've had it a year now. I keep it meticulously clean because if I dont it doesnt work. The brush wont spin when you pull back, the battery dies within 20 minutes of use on regular power no matter how long you've charged it, the filter is tiny and clogs almost immediately requiring you to rinse and wait the recommended 24 hours to dry before using again. The canister is small needing emptied frequently. These things combined make a five minute job at least 30 minutes worth of work. If I want to clean the house I have to start by cleaning the vacuum. Its design is flawed in the sense that the removable pieces and stem are hard to actually take off. I thought because it was a Hoover and it was more than I wanted to spend that I'd be impressed. I waited a year to review because I wanted to see if they would make good on their promise to handle the issues bit I still have not heard back from them. A year of one way correspondence and nothing. Inewspected their request to not return it to the store when I shouldnt have. Dont buy this model. Maybe another is better but I doubt I take the chance. I've had this for almost a year and am reasonably satisfied with it, though it has some issues. Pluses- vacuum and attachments are extremely versatile- great for vacuuming spiderwebs overhead with the crevice tool, as well as on the floor. On the floor, the head swivels a lot and readily fits into small and low spaces. I've had no issues with the battery- it seems to run the vac for a long time, and I plug it in after every use. Minuses- The long wand with floor head is difficult to remove from the vacuum motor housing. Also, the dirt cup doesn't latch easily to the vacuum- you have to slide it in place and give it a good smack with your hand- took me a while to figure this out. The little filter fills up very quickly and suction is lost. The motor is very loud. If vacuuming overhead, the motor is near your ear so I wear ear plugs to do this. Sure would be nice to have a light on the front of the floor head. Upshot- if you can live with the minuses, it works very well and can be used for just about any vacuuming task. No need to buy a separate handheld.Katy G

This did not work after a couple days. It was just spitting the dirt back out into the floor in a different spot. It does not work like the old moosoo. My old moosoo still works great, but I needed to because the battery life wasn’t so great on the old one but this new one did have a good battery or a slightly better one. Other than that this one is nowhere near as good as the one I bought last year I was very disappointed in this, it’s nice that swivels around, but it still doesn’t pick up like the old one and the light on it is very dim when compared to last year’s mooso vaccum it was the white one this vacuum seemed sturdier, but it just doesn’t work. I’m returning this I have to have something that works. I absolutely hate returning things to the store but in this case I have too because I definitely need something that I can depend on. This is just waste my time and then I have to wait on a refund so I can get another one of a different type.Cheryl
I purchased this cordless stick vacuum online through Walmart.com this past Christmas. I was my first experience with a cordless vacuum of my own. That being stated. I love this vacuum. It gets the job done using two different power settings depending on the amount of dirt you are picking up. It is very versatile and light to carry. It's ability to seperate into a smaller handheld vacuum is very convenient in small tight spaces. I like that it has all the desirable features that one would look for on a stick. First its cordless (the battery charges superfast) and can be charged connected to the vacuum for easy access, or seperated and charged on say.. a desk or counter top. I like that it does have a ball joint and pivots seamlessly in any direction you steer it into (makes getting into those tight corners easy). It also has a very bright L.E.D. panel on the front of the roller brush attachment (for floors). It has a good amount of battery life. I believe its 45 minutes? Though I can't remember the last time I vacuumed for 45 minutes straight. It always gets the job done without dying on me. It also comes with a wall mount hook you can install wherever you prefer to store your cleaning supplies. This comes in really handy as my roommate had an alternative branded vacuum that didn't have this and was always falling over (stick vacuums are typically top heavy). I would recommend purchasing the upgraded version of this vacuum that comes with additional hardware if you are a person who enjoys vacuuming (as I do). It does come in handle when you wanna vacuum additional places such as your vehicle upholstery or furniture. My overall consensus is that while its definitely not as powerful as a $700 stick vacuum. I had such high hopes for this vacuum based on the reviews. I was extremely disappointed. Though it's light weight, easy to use and picks up A LOT of dirt.. that's about all it will pick up. I have toddlers who find it humorous to smash crackers into the floors (carpet and hardwood). this vacuum picks up the finer pieces, but the tails of a goldfish for example and swept into the roller, and spun all the way to the left, missing the suction tube, and spit back out when the vacuum is pulled back for another pass. This was my experience on carpet and on tile. The roller doesn't seem long enough (bristles) or it spins too fast, but it can't even pick up when is in the shallow grout line. I have to clean the mesh piece and filter after every use too. I will say I loved the weight of this, the battery life was fairly decent for what it is, and the ease of being able to switch lengths was great.Brooke
