20 Best Vacuum For Carpet And Laminate (Jan 2023 Update)

I received this vacuum for Christmas, and have been using it daily for about three months now. I really wanted to love this vacuum, but I don't. The main issue I have is with the self-cleaning brushroll: Sure it doesn't tangle, but that would require it to actually pick up fur in the first place. This vacuum adamantly refuses to pick up any fur that isn't just sitting loose on the surface of the rug…which is deeply unhelpful. The roll just wipes fur along, without doing anything to agitate the carpet. I have used the entire battery life of this vacuum on my single living room area rug, just to still need to use my rubber broom. For a vacuum that costs >$300, this is extremely disappointing, and considering the vacuum is called the "pet pro," I truly don't understand why this vacuum simply cannot handle fur in any regard. My second problem with this vacuum is that it leaks dust from every single joint and seam the entire time I'm using it. Who wants to be covered in dust from vacuuming? Not I. Additionally, the wand itself clogs constantly in a way that's very difficult to clean out. In fact, most of this vacuum is difficult to clean, outside of changing the filters. I have two cats and a lab mix who sheds like it's his mission on earth, and frankly, this vacuum just does not cut it.LindseyJoy

I've never made a purchase that I've been more disappointed in. The vacuum worked fine the first couple of times now every time is vacuum my house I have to unclog the machine from the many many many potential clog spots. I never once had this problem with our previous dyson vacuum. I have a golden retriever, so yes, having to maybe unload the vacuum is to be expected however for a product that supposedly specializes in pets, it does a TERRIBLE job. I've had to take apart the base of the bottom when that gets clogged, the shaft of the vacuum comes apart and now hair seems to get clogged making the base of the vacuum essentially worthless. I am so so so bummed and wish I would have returned this while I had the chance. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT IF YOU WANT A PRODUCT THAT ACTUALLY PICKS UP DOG HAIR.Megan

I absolutely love that it is cordless. I loved the black friday price… i think it was $159 or $179 something like that . WAY under the price for a dyson. I absolutely love it. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat all whom shed ALOT. I use this vacuum daily, several times a day and have not had any issue with the battery. Keep in mind i mentioned having a little zoo of animals, so the first month i had to take the machine apart to be able to remove clogged hair on the long stick. The instructions dont really tell you how to clean it. There is more than just emptying the basket. To avoid it getting clogged, i now try to blow out all the hair in the tubes Atleast once a week. Only negative i would mention is I wish it was a bit stronger and wish it gave an option on height. For example if there is a leaf on the floor it will not suck it in becase the vacuum in not high off the ground to pick it up. I believe the dyson is a tad stronger but its not worth paying $400, when i can just use this one for under $200. I do not regret purchasing this at all. Out of the box, the vacuum was great. Sucked up everything. Within a month, it was basically a glorified hand vacuum. The only way I can get it to do anything is to use remove the hose and the attachments. The actual suction when using it upright is terrible. It vibrates like a dolphining F1 race car, makes a hideous popping and hissing sound from the side, and worst of all, leaves fuzz, dirt , and giant hard balls of lint all over my floors rather than actually cleaning them. Using this vacuum is more work than simply using a broom and a hand held dirt Devil. Customer service was helpful in trying to fix the issues but the suggested solve didn't work. It does quality performing for pet hair to include the turbo extension tool for upholstery. DO READ ALL the instructions so you know how to properly use it. Don't assume! The tools are ill placed with the placement and storage of the electrical cord (always falling off). The telescope for the hose to attachments doesn't lock properly and always ALWAYS pushing back in. I don't have an issue with pet hair on the roller getting stuck, but I do with human hair and any amount of length to trash. The spot where the hose connects to the canister is constantly getting clogged because it is small and narrow, needs to be wider. Pay CLOSE attention when taking the filter out of the canister and putting it back; there is a reason it is meticulously marked. The alignment must be perfect or it won't go back together properly; this is the same for everything on the vacuum. Hard to push when vacuuming (hence one of the reasons I said to read instructions carefully)? You have to provide some air to release the amount of suction, so it moves easier with the little knob on the left; by the way, it moves also on its own.feltermail

Within 1 minute of its' first use this model #2475 Pet Hair Eraser Turbo had its' brush roll stop spinning before a small 10×10 foot area was complete. The belt assembly is centre mounted so debris from both sides of the brush roll collects towards its' centralized belt motor which sits open with nothing to protect it from debris. This results in it being the furthest thing from the "tangle free" unit it is advertised as. Removal of the head screws holding the bottom cover in place is quite easy so I was able to see what was causing the jam (see picture attached). The manufacturer claims the unit can accept hair length of 4-8 inches. The longest of the hairs in this pictures is 3 inches, so the job in question should have been well within the manufacturer's guidelines. Upon reassembling the base the unit promptly got jammed a second time. After once again removing the clog I decided to give it a different task, cleaning hardwood. This unit has a key feature for those with hardwood floors, its' brush can turn on/off, saving your hardwood from being scratched by the roller. Sadly there is very little suction (see video attached). I found without the brush roll spinning the machine picks up essentially nothing. The last major feature this unit is its' heavily marked "pet hair eraser" attachments. The Pet Turbo Eraser" is nothing more than the same "turbo brush" or "handi-mate" that has been commonplace on vacuum's since the 1950's. The "two in one" pet brush is a traditional fabric brush as is the crevice tool. There is nothing fundamentally different with these attachments than what is industry standard from most vacuum suppliers. I've had Bissell units before, the last being the significantly cheaper "Clearview Alergen Lift-Off Pet Upright Vaccuum." It lasted 2 years before dying a few weeks after its warranty expired precipitating the purchase of this Turbo model. All in all a poor vacuum. Don't buy this.Jimmy

With our dog and our new baby all over the floor, we were getting much more worried about fur everywhere. I have a very good vacuum and hand vac already, but the vacuum is heavy and cumbersome and my back is not built for vacuuming the floor with a hand vac. This vacuum was a perfect addition to our home because it is light weight and portable, like the love child of the two vacuums we already had. It is also quiet, so I can vacuum the baby's arena everyday while she naps without waking her up. I feel silly since this in addition to so many other vacuums, but I didn't have the energy to pull out the big one on a daily basis, especially trying to get under furniture and plugging it into different outlets to reach the whole house. My Bissell is not as powerful, but I use it daily so the fur doesn't accumulate and it is better for our lifestyle. And since it has the hand vac attachment, I could have bought just this one instead of my previous two. Oops! Highly recommend, would buy again in a heartbeat. It's also easy to empty/clean and gets under furniture really well.Michelle

I greeted the Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum with curious skepticism. Having used several vacuums in the past I knew the benefits and drawbacks of corded and cordless vacuums. I tried a Eureka cordless vacuum in the past and the battery took over 12 hours to charge for just 15-20 minutes of vacuuming power, with the suction power being extremely light. I also had a cordless vacuum by Puweike which constantly fell down because I didn't mount the stand against the wall as I had mostly dry wall in my place. I prefer cordless vacuums because even though the corded vacuums owned by Hoover and Oreck offer more power, they are a pain to move from room to room due to having to constantly disconnect and reconnect the cord. The Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum addressed all of these concerns and offered some unexpected surprises. This vacuum took less than one minute to assemble with only two parts to put together. I only had to charge the battery for four hours until it was ready to use. Upon charging it, I noticed the vacuum stands upright, so there is no need to add any mounted stand to the wall as it can be stored anywhere. I also love that I could turn on the brush roll on carpet and off on the hardwood to prevent scratching. The suction is extremely powerful to pick up even the smallest crumbs and I couldn't believe how easy it is to maneuver with the handle folding to get under the sofa. There is a huge bonus to this vacuum as well with the detachable middle which becomes a handheld vacuum for sofas and chairs. Another bonus is the brush and crevice tool for corners and upholstery. The dirt bin is so easy to empty and put back in the vacuum as well. I would recommend the Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum to all my friends and family. Owning this cordless vacuum is a delight in every way possible.Andy

This lightweight cordless vacuum is exactly what I needed. I have a good sized 1 bedroom apartment that I share with a cat. A few rooms have area rugs and the rest is all vinyl flooring. I am constantly fighting a battle against cat hair, litter particles, and dust. And losing, until now. This is a dream on my vinyl floors and low pile rugs. I have a large thick pile rug in the living room that this does not work so well on. The suction makes it hard to use when going against the grain of the rug so I use it everywhere else and get the old vac out for that one spot. It’s what I intended to do anyway so I didn’t take off a star. I think it’s swivel makes maneuverability fantastic. The battery works great, assembly was quick and super easy, it’s small and sits upright in a corner charging. It came with three handy attachments for with using the hand vac. The cord isn’t too long or too short. It’s just right for my needs. I am so impressed with this vacuum and happy with my purchase.MelissaV

After a short time of use, I was left slightly unimpressed by this vacuum. I own a similar vacuum by a different manufacturer and there are many features it has, that I wish this Samsung Jet vacuum had, such as a telescoping wand, a spare battery, a stand-alone charging stand, and a bottom emptying dust canister. What I loved the most about this vacuum was how extremely lightweight it is, the suction power, and the low profile vacuum head. I was very disappointed with the battery life of this vacuum, and I also found the pet hair tool (mini motorized tool) to be a mostly useless, battery draining tool. The low profile vacuum head and its powerful suction makes for an excellent vacuum on non-carpeted floors and it picks up pet hair really well. Unfortunately, the tiny wheels on the vacuum head made it difficult to vacuum carpet, which is disappointing for my household since it's a mixture of hardwood and carpet. (It just didn’t glide smoothly across carpet, especially at the higher suction settings.) Additionally, while the low profile vacuum head allows for vacuuming of tight spaces, it really limits the debris size that can be vacuumed up. There are three power levels to vacuum at, low, mid, and max. The mid level does ok but I definitely preferred running the vacuum on the max setting. Unfortunately running at the max significantly reduced the runtime of the vacuum to about 7 minutes, and with only one battery included, this means you're out of luck until it recharges. I did like using the vacuum to reach high spots around the house that tend to collect dust and cobwebs. The light weight of the vacuum and the extension crevice tool made it easy to get to those hard to reach areas without having to pull out a step stool. This is where the lightness of the vacuum really shined, as I was able to go around the entire house vacuuming corners and vents without my arm ever getting tired from holding the vacuum up in the air. Overall, after several days of use, I feel that the performance of this vacuum is just ok / average, especially compared to others on the market. There is definitely room for improvement. The Samsung Jet 60 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum is really lightweight and easy to use with only one hand. It comes with lots of accessories making it very versatile. All of the attachments have a button-click system making it very easy to attach or unattach the different accessories on the fly, so there’s no delay in your cleaning. The vacuum has adjustable suction power and decent suction even on lowest setting, but has even more power when you need it. This vacuum is absolutely great for cleaning those hard to reach places both high and low such as corners, under furniture, air vents, ceiling fans, and window blinds. The Jet 60 is convenient for vacuuming your car. For me, the greatest application for the Jet 60 is vacuuming the stairs. Not having to drag a full sized vacuum up and down the stairs is very nice. The product package states that the battery lasts up to 40 minutes. But when I use it on lowest power setting, I get about 24 minutes before the battery gives out. On full suction power, I only get around 6 minutes of charge. The battery charges quite slowly. After a small job of just a few minutes it takes around half an hour to recharge fully and after a job that depletes the battery completely it takes several hours to recharge fully. This means that it’s really not useful for a whole house cleaning, for that you probably need a corded vacuum. But if you had a small apartment or dorm room it might work fine. Otherwise, it’s mainly useful for spot cleaning and small cleanup jobs like vacuuming the stairs or your car. The dust collection bin is a reasonable size given the battery life, you are likely to run down the battery before the bin is full. The bin consists of 3 parts, one of which is a HEPA filter, and is easy to detach, empty, and clean by rinsing with water. There is a jet of air that comes out of both sides of the vacuum. I mention it because I have experienced these jets blowing dust up into the air while cleaning in especially dusty areas or when vacuuming near loose papers, like on a desk, the papers can get blown around. Overall, the Samsun Jet 60 works quite well, but my biggest complaint is the lack of battery life. I’ve owned other cordless vacuums and getting around 24 minutes of charge time is actually pretty good in comparison.Mkru

Samsung really knocked it out of the park with this little guy. Between my wife and I, we actually enjoy vacuuming. We've even had competitions to see who can clean the most before the battery runs down! It's substantially more than I expected for the size of the battery, you can get a few rooms lightly soiled carpeted rooms in! Not just using it at the lowest speed either! (I'm not sure where Samsung gets the "up to 40mins" number, but I think you'd have to be not using any powered attachments, and at the lowest setting to get close to that, caveat aside, it lasts enough for a quick clean on an average house floor or more!) I also was not expecting it would actually pick up much more than an older hand vacuum that happens to have a long wand/sweeper attachment. It actually functions as a "main" vacuum if you're a frequent cleaner, as it handles deeper messes in a carpet that I was not expecting it to even come close to pulling up all the way. (dog and people hair plus some tracked in dirt/sand that was stepped in, took a few passes, but still managed) It's also not excessively loud, my infant daughter is most intrigued by it and watches us intently, whereas she was frightened/we had to put some hearing protecting on her if we wanted to use our "big" corded vacuum. The ONLY downside I have to this vacuum is the charging/mounting unit, which is why I gave it 4/5 instead of 5/5. Some folks do not want to mount a vacuum and just want it hidden in a closet until use, with a battery charger in the corner maybe out of the way. (The charger mount is a neat idea IF you plan on mounting, since you can charge the battery by itself or leave it in the vacuum and charge through the vacuum without removing the battery)GlennT

I have had this vacuum for 2 months now. Pros: It can get under the couch easily. It has a long chord. Hair does not get stuck inside the vacuum (kinda). Cons: It doesn't stand up on it's own. You have to lean it up on something but it can easily roll and fall or you can just lay it down on the floor which sucks. Hair does not get stuck in the vacuum, but it does get stuck around the little small wheels preventing it from rolling easily. It is very, very hard, (actually impossible) to clean the hairs our from around the wheels. Other vacuums I have owned will grab debris on from all sides of the vacuum and just suck the dust towards the vacuum. This vacuum does not collect any dust nearby the vacuum, it only collects dust that you roll directly over. The dust goes up into the canister, but before it even reaches the "full" line, you have to clean it out because the dust gets stuck before reaching the canister. It makes a weird sound, gets hot like it is over heating even before the canister is full. If you want to use the handheld part you have to unwrap the chord which is a design flaw. The attachments are a joke. I bought this specifically to be able to vacuum pet hair off my couch. The pet hair attachment is useless. I get more hair off just using a lint roller. The brush attachment is useless as well as it i so poorly designed. It does not dust and suck the dust simultaneously like other vacuums. You are better off just dusting with a cloth.Jes

Female age 21. I got this vacuum about a year ago and while the suction power was really good, I noticed right away how loud it was. Not a normal "on the loud side" but super super loud and shrill vaccum. It would also get very hot after only a minute of vacuuming. I kept using it because I had no other options, but then after about 3 months, it broke altogether. The vacuum will now turn on, but it gives a weird noise and won't vacuum anything up. Very relieved that I got the squaretrade warranty for it, but am still nervous since I'm not positive they will reimburse me. I would definitely recommend staying away from this vacuum. There were so many positive reviews and only a few negative ones, but it turns out my product experience was the latter.Elise

Our old Shark vacuum did so well that when it needed to be replaced, we were convinced to strictly go with another Shark. This vacuum does a GREAT job, but it is VERY loud compared to our old one (which drives our dogs nuts), and the canister is very small. We have 4 dogs and a baby, so I vacuum every day, but if you have a lot of carpet, or don’t vacuum often, you will have to empty the canister multiple times before you’re done. Contrary to the reviews saying it can’t stand upright- yes it can… If you don’t read the instructions, then a simple google/YouTube search will show you how to do it (you have to remove the top part, and there is a hook that you attach it to on the bottom, and then it stands upright). No, it’s not as convenient as being able to just hang it, or have it stand upright without modification; but it only takes a couple seconds. It can get stowed away even easier in a coat closet this way too. All attachments work great, and it’s SO simple to use the handheld, or very quickly switch from the normal carpet attachment to needing just the “hose” part for hard to each spots, or if you spot a cobweb on the ceiling. The normal carpet attachment also does phenomenal at turning, and goes around the circle part of the bottom of our daughter’s jumparoo very well. It’s different from our old Shark, sure; but no regrets here!RAS062020

I LOVE my Hoover Total Home Pet bagless vacuum cleaner! I vacuum my house at least daily due to having one big dog and 2 cats that all seem to shed. I usually end up purchasing a new vacuum every year. I have owed so many vacuums over the years and I have never bought the same one twice. I think I have found my forever brand and model with the Hoover Total Home Pet bagless vacuum! I love how powerful this vacuum is! After one vacuum, I was amazed at how much hair was in the canister! I love that the vacuum is lightweight since I have to carry it to three different floors in my home. I like the different settings for both the carpet and the hardwood as my home has both types of flooring. The suction on this vacuum is so powerful, you will be amazed! The tools that came with this vacuum are awesome! The quick release cleaning wand is perfect to clean those high areas and the dusting brush is extremely helpful with cleaning the blinds, curtains and ceiling fans. My favorite attachment tool though is the pet turbo tool! This tool is so easy to use and gets all the hair off my couches and steps! Thank you Hoover for making such a powerful vacuum cleaner! The overall feel of this vacuum cleaner would best be described as cheap. The plastic used for the housing is flimsy and the handle itself feels unsecure. The dirt collection canister is difficult to release due to the manufacture glue holding the flap in place. The brush attachment stopped working within 10 minutes of use and when it does run the attachment provides poor cleaning power. Overall I am not satisfied with the vacuum and I have begun my return of the item. I purchased this and a Hoover carpet cleaner and I am just as displeased with the cleaner.Bill

I've had this vacuum for a b little over a year as a spare for upstairs. I don't use it that often and it had worked fine for what I needed. Then it shut off the other day while using it. I discovered hair clogs in the hose. Seriously disappointed since this is specifically for households with pets. I cleared the clogs, cleaned the brushroll and tried again. There was very little suction and it still turned off after a few minutes of use. I took out the filters & made sure they were clean. I was actually surprised at how clean they were. Tested it again this morning and there is still no suction. It gets hot and shuts off. Not sure if I should spend the money to get it services or just throw it away. I don't remember if I registered it for the warranty and there doesn't seem to be a way to check the website.Candace

I would rather lick my floors clean than spend my hard earned money on such a useless piece of equipment again. I have previously had a Bosch and Phillips stick vac and both were great but struggled to sustain enough battery to do my whole house. I purchased the Ryobi one as I loved the changeable battery idea. It sucks hair & dog hair fine… but if you want to see anything else get cleaned up… buy a different unit. It takes great delight in picking up everything larger than 2ml and spitting it directly behind you leaving a wake of rubbish confetti. I just love looking up my hallway and seeing what looks like the ants version of a festival clean up. This is the single most useless piece of equipment I own.Jazmin

I've purchased this vacuum once and am having replaced under warranty for a third time for the same reason. The brush motor head keeps burning out, rendering it useless. Overall: The vacuum has subpar suction if the brush is in place but not spinning. Removing the brush allows for much better suction on hard surfaces (which is great when the motor is dead) The dustbin is always clogged which means reduced suction and more frequent emptying. The unit is generally heavy to lug around. The attachments are loose fitting and fall out if you look at them wrong. Runtime varies between 20-40 minutes (with brush vs without) The warranty replacement is fantastic. I can't in good conscience recommend this product to anyone.Rollie

So firstly I ordered this Ryobi stick online and the Bunnings service was exceptional. I thought I'd try a Ryobi because I have quite a few other Ryobi products and batteries. Well WOW – this thing absolutely sh….ts on my other well known cyclonic stick vacuum that cost me over $1000 and now needs a new main body after its done barely any work in the 3 years I've had it. The Ryobi has strong suction, literally picks up everything, it is comfortable to to hold, really easy to manoeuvre as it has a better slightly smaller sized head. I used a 2.5amp battery because it was lighter and I still vacuumed for ages. I wouldn't say its overly noisy, that motor is working hard to lift floor debris. As this product develops, the method for emptying of the dirt barrel could be addressed but this unit is magic and Ive recommended this to all my friends – big thumb up.Heidi

I've had a Bob and a Shark autovac and this iHome is the easiest to set up both the vacuum and the app. It's wifi connected immediately. Programming it to clean on specific days and times was extremely easy as well. I think the hardest thing to do was locate the power and home buttons which are touch sensitive and are unable to be seen if not lit up. This vacuum charges quickly and does a decent job sweeping and mapping a course. I have several throw rugs down, to help my GSD with traction, and this robot vac only got stuck once when it actually sucked up the rug and got jammed. My Shark got stuck on them constantly because it's wheels weren't large enough, which is one main reason I stopped using it. This iHome vac also easily finds it's recharging station before it runs out of life. The bin isn't as large as my Bob Pet was but it did my kitchen, dining room and small hallway before I emptied it and it would have he'd a little more. I haven't used it on the main carpet yet so I can't speak to how it will do there but I don't expect these robot vacs to manage heavier items such as carpets with deeper pile. I deep clean those with my Shark lift vac. This iHome robot vac is perfect to just make life a little easier cleaning my hardwoods and tile while having 3 dogs!lindchad

Eclipse G 2 does good on our hard surface floors such as kitchen and hardwood areas and just okay on carpet areas. Not a replacement for real vacuum cleaner or mop, but help keep up and extend full vacuum and mopping. I do like the mop feature and does surprisingly well especially if you spray hard floor lightly with cleaner. I don't see how this says it has navigation, it will tell you where it has been on phone app. however it don't remember room layouts and everytime it goes out it just bumps around like any plain robot vacuum. I found it works best if you just use remote and tell it to do room boarders then tell it to go back and forth in pattern otherwise it just bounces off everthing in no order. It also will not find home base if it is not with 5 feet from it. pushing home button just makes it bump around in circles until you make it go within the 5 feet of base. I'm also afraid that the battery my not last too much longer and only had it 4 months. I have notice a dramatic drop in battery life since new so I might have to use the extended warranty I purchased for it. All in all a okay robot vacuum/mop for the price, but I sure there are better out there. I will mark as yes to recommend item only for those that don't expect true navigation and have open floor plan areas.btim3

love this vaccum! i got it on clearance for $115 so the price value was amazing because its regularly $399! i have to say this thing is awesome! it has a super suction option and i pretty much only run it on that super suction. it picks up great! it really gets the sides of walls great too, its engineered to bump up to the sides and get every crumb. ive had robot vacuums in the past that were the bottom of the line robots that were "cheap" ($120 eufy brand) and so i was reluctant to buy another one but im so glad i did! it really does do a great job and i dont have to go behind it with my dust mop picking up the slack. i also love that i can just switch out the dust bin with the mop bucket and have it mop as well! it also vacuums in order! its not all over the place like the cheaper eufy robot vacuum. if your going to invest in a robot vacuum dont even waste your time with the "cheap" ones. you have to go big or go home. this one is excellent and ive heard its comparable to the $699 roomba. so it does save you a bit of money unless your lucky enough to find it on sale for $115 like i did! 🙂patrick

Worst Vacuum I have ever bought. Seriously a joke. Hard floors it just shoots debris out the back. It takes 3 times longer to do any vacuuming because you are constantly going over areas you just vacuumed trying to get debris back up that it just shot back at you. It does mediocre on carpeted areas. Super lightweight which is nice but the cord is so short I can’t even vacuum one room without having to switch plugs which is super annoying. Great for a toy vacuum but not for any real cleaning.Jessica

I am very, very disappointed with this vacuum. It looks great, lightweight, easy to put together and was shipped fast. And on my tile floors it works quite well. Then tonight I attempted to vacuum my carpet and the vacuum just stuck right to the first spot it rolled on to. It would not BUDGE no matter how hard I pull, pushed, or sweet talked my cute little new vacuum it would not move. Seems that there is no adjustable setting to let you choose what height or bare floor, low, med, high carpet. I am handicapped and no way I can get it to roll and I have short low carpet. Since I had used it on the tile with no issues, I had felt comfortable tossing the box and all the packaging so I can’t even return it. Very, very disappointed by this. The vacuum was supposed to be my Amazon Prime weekend gift to myself, but Walmart impressed me with the cute look and low price, so I stashed my gift card and paid cash. I wasn’t expecting more than a basic vacuum at this price, but I didn’t even get that. It does not have an option to turn off the spinning brush. I could deal with that. There is no on off switch. There is a cheap plastic pedal to turn it on and off instead. I could deal with that. The cord is pretty short. I could deal with that. But it DOES NOT pick up much of anything! That I COULD NOT deal with. In fact, it often spins out the back what it does pick up! Oh and sometimes it pops open in the front while vacuuming and puffs out a cloud of dust and lint! It is the worst vacuum I have ever encountered!ES

I have always wanted to own a cordless vacuum and now this Black and Decker Power Series Extreme cordless stick vacuum is making my life so easy. I like the fact that it’s lightweight and easy to handle. I can easily carry it around my house with least effort. Being cordless I no more have to struggle with wires. The dustbin is removable and can easily be emptied. The handle can be detached from the brush of you just need to use the stick to clean the corners or crevices. The anti tangle brush bar is something I am happy about. The vacuum is powerful and sucks dust and dirt very well. Great for both hardwood floors and also carpet. The LED light is the best feature especially when the places are poorly lit the LED light helps in cleaning up the spots and makes my house more clean. The battery holds good for about one hour. And I own several black and decker lawn tools so I mix and match my batteries and that’s really a plus point. Definitely is much less noisy compared to other vacuums. The accessories given with this vacuum are very good and love the fact that I can hang it in my tools closet after using it. This cordless stick vacuum is great for cleaning stairs. It’s easy to twist and turn the agitator to empty the dust and dirt. I can easily charge the batteries too. All the functions are exceptional and I am so impressed with this!Kiomina

I've had a lot of bad luck with cordless vacuums in my life. They generally lack enough power to accomplish anything you'd want them to. The POWERSERIES Extreme Cordless Stick Vacuum, however, has not left me feeling disappointed! I have a mixture of hard floor, low pile carpet, and medium pile carpet throughout my house. The high pile carpet does not benefit much from this cordless vacuum, but for spot cleaning the short pile carpet, this thing can do the trick if I put it on "MAX" speed (although it's a bit loud at that level). But where this thing really shines for me is on hard floor. Even on the lowest speed, it hasn't had any problems picking debris up off my hard flooring. The biggest highlight was when I discovered that it fits beneath my couch!! The couch only has a 3-inch clearance, so it becomes a black hole that gathers all kinds of junk: leaves, dust, dog hair, dropped food, etc… To clean under there, I've always had to lift up the couch and move it out of the way. But this cordless vacuum allows me to clean underneath it completely, without moving the couch at all!! Talk about a win! It also has some handy features, which I'll list off below. POWERSERIES+™ Cordless Stick Vacuum We were looking for an affordable all-in-one vacuum that can be used on carpet and hard floors, lightweight, high suction power, cordless, easy to hold & clean, long-lasting warranty. Many criteria, isn't it? When I received this cordless stick vacuum, I first used that on a carpet, and you can't believe it sucked up so much dust from the cleaned carpet! I couldn't believe it and tried to use that in a different room and after using it I realized that the one I was using earlier was the heaviest & noisy and did not capture the microparticles which this little gem did on the very first use. The stick has a powerful light to see if the area is dirty and it automatically adjust the speed on the carpet and hard floor. Also, you don't need to hang this anyway as this can be kept anywhere without any back support. Based on my experience it has powerful suction and long-lasting battery life which you can easily use for your daily cleaning with a single charge. This vacuum is incredible! Things I love about it: – It is so light, and sucks up stuff so easily and well. You can press it twice for more suction. – The coolest part is there is a light on it so you actually see everything you're vacuuming up. I thought my floor was clean and then I used this vacuum- I couldn't believe how much was there that I couldn't see without the light and how it got up all the dog hair and dust so easily. It's such an awesome idea to have the small light on it- I've never seen that before. – It can lay flat so you can put it all the way under the couch or bed if it's raised up abt 3 or 4" off ground and you can turn it really easily to get edges. I've always had to wipe under the furniture so this is so nice and easy. – it automatically switches suction when you go over carpet vs wood from sensing it. – I LOVE that it's battery operated. the battery seems to last long- I vacuumed the whole downstairs and the charge was still there. I've just been plugging it in to charge every time I put the vacuum back so I'm not sure how long it lasts but seems to last pretty long. – my kids want to vacuum now bc they love seeing all the stuff with the light that gets cleaned up!!! Overall this is a great product. We have a lot of slate which is a bit bumpy but the vac handles it very well. When transitioning to carpet this is where it had a problem and the roller popped out. Now I just turn it off when I go from slate to carpet to area rugs. It does not like long shag so I’ll use my regular vac for those. A great feature is the headlight and that it feels almost self propelled, the maneuverability getting under things like a bed is fabulous. The fact that it’s a comfortable weight and no cord has tended to make me use it on my carpet three times a week, in fact I’ve not used my regular vacuum since receiving this. I have 2 messy kids and 2 giant dogs that shed extremely bad, so finding a good vacuum is extremely important to keeping my home tidy. Shark is my go-to brand and I already have a vacuum I use from them. I was hoping to find a light weight vacuum that was easier to carry up and down the stairs, as well as travel back and forth to use at my cabin. This Shark Rocket stick vac meets many of the needs I was looking for. It is super light and easy to carry. The roller pivots and manuevers so smoothly easily around furniture, and it also works really well with getting under couches and tables. Another positive is that the noise level on this vacuum is much quieter. I also really like that the controls are right on the handle and the words regarding the power levels are reversed to face the person cleaning. As far as storage goes, this vacuum will not stand upright for storage, and either needs propped up on something or the handle will need removed and placed on the storage hook on the base. This is not a negative for me, because it makes it easier for me to store in a cabinet or closet. A con for me is that it is definitely not as powerful as my current vacuum and the canister is much smaller. I did a quick clean up around my living room only and the canister was already full and needed emptied before I could continue. The power and suction worked the best for me on area rugs and runners but was still quite effective on low pile carpeting. I already recommended this vacuum to my mother, who is getting up there in age, due to how light weight it is and easy to maneuver around. The Shark Rocket Pro DLX Corded Stick Vac Is going to be your go to vac for all your cleaning needs. Coming out of the box it was very easy to put together . The pieces just snap and lock in together in less than a minute. Because it is a stick vac it was very easy to move around than a heavy upright. I started first on my oriental rug in my living room. Once i got the suction level set it did a great job of picking up particles and even unseen deep dirt. It maneuvered around coffee tables easily because it has a swivel head. L.E.D. lights on the power brush base help light the way. There is even one on the top part for when you are doing stairs and other jobs without the base.I went from the carpet straight to the hardwood floor and then to the ceramic tile in the kitchen without having to stop. Just a quick change on the suction lever and it was a go. It made the transition to different flooring types easy and did a great job. I then tried the stairs. the head easily pops off with the push of a button . Then I tried the tools that were included on the stairs. It also did a great job there. Then I put the wand back on it and tried it on getting some of the dust up high in the corners of the ceiling.Disconnecting the top and the wand from the power roller is easy. All you have to do is step on a button on the base and it comes right out and when you're done it snaps right back in . Very easy , quick and convenient . It cleaned any dust bunnies up high easily. Emptying the dirt is easy, just a click of a button opens the contents and dumps into the trash. Storing it is great because the head comes off and locks into the base so it actually doesn't take up that much space or you can use the hook and hang it up. There were two minor things that I didn't care for. One was I thought it was a little loud and secondly since there is no place to store the tools they should at least include a small mesh bag or some type of container to store them all in so they don't get misplaced. In conclusion I found that this vacuum was very versatile , east to use , and did a great job on every task that I put it through and I highly recommend it to anyone.BOBMERCU

This Shark vacuum is wonderful in cleaning my home. The swivel head is so perfect for getting under places so I don't have to move anything for general cleaning needs. I love the lights in the front so that I don't have to turn on lights in bathrooms or closets just to vacuum. I especially like how the switch is on the top where I don't have to bend down to switch between carpets and bare floor. I also am happy about the main part becoming a separate hand held vacuum so I can clean my car easier with the attachments too. The head is smaller than my regular upright and makes it easier to vacuum behind toilets and small places. I chose the one with the electric cord as I can clean my whole apartment without concern about battery usage. Love this vacuumclean floors

If you’ve never used a battery powered stick vacuum, you’re working too hard. The Dyson V7 Advanced Origin vacuum Is one of the lightest vacuums I have used. Easy to maneuver around furniture and items with a flick of the wrist and with its thin beater bar, it fits under furniture with ease. The battery provides about 30 minutes of vacuuming. At first, I thought this may not be enough considering how much time I used to spend vacuuming. But it turns out once you eliminate the time spent plugging and unplugging the vacuum, minding the cord so it doesn’t get stuck or knock something over, or moving things to vacuum around or under them, I found I could vacuum the house much faster than I ever could before with much less effort. Not that I have much battery left, it’s just about all used up. I do feel a bit of “Range Anxiety” having just one fixed battery and do rush more. A replaceable battery pack as used on cordless drills and other tools would be a welcome addition. This Dyson comes with a combination tool, the wand/pipe, and a de-tangling motor bar cleaner head. with hair removal vanes that clear long hair and pet hair from the brush bar. The motor bar cleaner head seems to work, no hair or strings got wrapped around the beater brush. Be aware that this model comes with just what is listed in the product description, the combination tool attachment. There is no crevice or other attachments which used to be standard. Nor is there a wall mounted charging dock. If you know you will need the attachments, you should look at other Dyson models that include them or purchase them separately. Not a problem for me replacing a well-used Dyson vacuum that came with the attachments which are all still in excellent condition. Not including the attachments keeps the older ones that are in good shape from going into the landfill and should help keep the price down. This seems to align with the packaging which was all fully recyclable cardboard. No foam, plastic or other environmentally bad packing material was used. Replace the wand with the combination tool and you have a very powerful hand-held vacuum to clean furniture, drapes, the car, or whatever you need one for. The normal/low power setting seems perfectly adequate for hard wood floors and low pile carpet. The High-power mode adds a very noticeable increase in vacuum power and noise. Nice to have when you need it, but I found I rarely did. The Dyson is a well-made vacuum. Very nimble and powerful. Everything fits and functions exceptionally well, which is what I have come to expect of the brand.MrBill250

Up to now we have been very happy with our v10 – great performance and useability. But after 18 months two niggly problems have surfaced as a result of the failure of small plastic pieces that are not sold as replacement parts – you have to replace the whole assembly. 1. The red plastic button that attaches the wand to the body has broken and falls off. 2. The red plastic clip that is supposed to stop the bin sliding off the body has worn away, so that the bin comes off every time you just want to empty it. Both are small plastic pieces that are clearly separate to the main components and should be replaceable – but they are not. I was quoted £121 to replace the wand and the body – that is both extortionate pricing and a total waste of the other parts that are duplicated when you buy the spares. Dyson should do better to support customers and the environment. I will also say that we have a still working V6 (nothing gone wrong) and an old DC04 which has had many parts replaced over its' long life, but it still runs fine and was cheap/easy to fix. I guess that says that they are not built like they used to be. Oh and one more thing – the flexible hose for the V10 also fell apart after a year!Disappointed

I have always been huge Dyson fan as I find their products work well and stand the test of time. This cordless vac reminds me of the one I originally purchased nearly 10 years ago. It is nimble and very well balanced. On a fully charged battery, I have been able to spot clean multiple rooms, multiple times (hard floors with a few small rugs). I have used other cordless vacuums and find them to be unevenly weighted compared to the Dyson. The body of this is somewhat heavy for its sized, but the grip, and overall design are very ergonomic and I feel it conforms to the movement of my hand and wrist seamlessly. This makes the weight less of a concern, which is a factor for me as it determines whether I can effectively use a product or not. I personally wish that the on/off was a switch rather than a sqeeze trigger and that the option for max power was a push button thumb trigger rather than sliding switch on top of the body. Also of note, this model does not include any kind of wall mount kit for storage/charging, where my previous model did. I do find the model to be a bit noisy especially on MAX mode, but it is not intolerable. The beater bar does great job picking up hair without tangling.ArmadaJim

 I don’t need to move my mats off the floor in the kitchen or the bathroom, pick my shoes up off the floor if I don’t want to or that shirt sitting over in the corner, I don’t have to worry it’s going to get stuck under at the bed because it does a great job navigating whatever it is under the bed and not only does it do a great job it identifies by taking a picture of whatever item is under there, and with a percentage of certainty it can assess what that item is not always great by does a pretty darn good job. It is by far, as other reviewers have noted, leaps and bounds …. ARTEMIS SIZE… GALACTICLY SUPERIOR to ANY other vacuum. And then, to add an amazing mop that is utilized simultaneously with the vacuuming feature, and the ability to customize from a light mop job to a extra duty session— YESSSSS nailed it in execution, nailed it in design, and nailed it in understanding the deficiencies of the current technologies on the market, and then bring the technology market 🙂 Summarized, and in general, I have been pretty darn critical of most of them tech purchases in the past 10 years because of shifty retailers, manufactures, ad campaigns, all implying, amazing features and benefits that blend into a disappointment and waste. If not a complete failure. It’s usually what is implied by the manufacture, but not stated that leaves disappointment in execution. And then, of course, there are the glaring issues, confronting consumers in the marketplace by way of the retailers, not Best Buy that don’t care about the customer enough to mandate that pro product descriptions are actually in English enough to understand but to me that basically means that a manufacture doesn’t really care about the American consumer at all because if they did, they would find somebody who speaks English enough to write a manual for whatever product and to write print and advertise that product in a way that respects the customer and doesn’t make them have to read between the lines or reword, poor grammatical errors, because of a lack of regard that upsets me more than anything so I’m very glad to have retailers that are still around like Best Buy where I know specifications for a product are going to be the specs for the product. Anyway, the bottom line is, this is a win. I’m pleased, and I have not been pleased in the product and I can say this pretty certainly in a very, very long time, so great job, Robo rock. You know this industry segment is still very young when the best robot vacuum by far which is this S7 MaxV Ultra has quite a few areas to improve on but all in all. I LOVE IT! This is advanced AI coupled with top level engineering at its finest for robot vacuum cleaners. At this point, Roborock is Roborock's biggest competitor – however, there's def room for improvement. Below is everything the bot does really well that are selling points. For the "Needs to improve" I'll indicate whether these are software fixes or hardware changes which means you'd have to wait for the next version and hope the changes are built in as part of the bots physical hardware component. Best Features – Intuitive UI & navigation software packed with useful features (3D map, 2 way calling, etc) – Ability to auto fill bot with water, auto empty dustbin and wash mop – Great battery life (my experience) – On board video camera to see where bot is cleaning – Carpet detection feature with mop auto lift – AI obstacle recognition, avoidance & tagging – Room recognition with machine learning capabilities. – Various cleaning configuration settings Needs to improve – Show water levels in app (hardware fix) – Increased suction doesn't do much for carpets. My Cleanview has been in service for nearly five years now and I couldn't be happier! I have a two-story home with hardwood and carpeted surfaces. We have a 45-pound dog and three "inherited" cats, so vacuuming is a daily chore in order to maintain the accumulation of shedded hair. The Cleanview does a super job-better, I think than the Dyson we use for the second floor. Because the vacuum is so good at picking up hair, pet dander and dirt in general, it's important to check the upper filter and make sure it is kept clean. It's easy to access and a drop or two of dish soap under warm water will keep it fresh and clean while maintaining good air flow. Through heavy-duty use I had to replace the brush and roller in the fourth year, but they were inexpensive and user serviceable. CleanView® Vacuum Cleaner #sweepstake CleanView® Vacuum Cleaner has great suction and the vacuum base brush does a good job cleaning carpets & bare floors. This machine seems to collect more dust, dirt, and hair in one use than my previous machine. It is very easy to empty the dust canister. I like having all the attachments stored ON the vacuum. I find it a little tricky to manuever because the vacuum base brush head is wide and wheels do not swivel. The turbo-brush tool for cleaning furniture is GREAT, but the hose is a little short & doesn't easily extend so I found that I had to move the machine a few times to vacuum the couch. I don't like having to remember to charge batteries before using a tool so I like having a machine with a cord. The CleanView® Vacuum Cleaner has a cord long enough to reach where I need to vacuum. The only thing I don't like is not being able to vacuum under the bed. The body of the Vacuum is too thick to slide inder furniture. Not sure how I'm going to get this job done without moving the bed. This is a draw back. Also I don't think I could ever use this machine to vacuum my stair case (back to the hand-held dustbuster for this). All in all this machine was a good purchase and should do a good job for a long timeCarol

Super quick, So much easier than getting the broom, sweeping and hoping to get it all with the dustpan. It helps keep my floors so much cleaner. I love that I don't have to deal with a vacuum cord either. I actually keep my floors clean every day with this than if I was sweeping or using a traditional vacuum. I also love the attachments, it makes getting to harder to reach places easier. The clip/button to empty is a little hard to press at first, I felt like I was breaking it, but I confirmed with the directions I was emptying appropriately (I was) so I kept pushing and it worked. It also gets easier to empty the more you use it. I can't even tell that I have an older version for the price I paid. My mom has a newer version and this one stands up to it the same. I think the main difference I notice is emptying the canister but I'll take that for the price. I've also used this to vacuum my couch since we have a dog and cat who like to use that as their bed and it works like a charm to get the pet fur. I will keep this forever!tess.goeller

So for some reason I used to be against the expensive Dyson products. I even used an older corded vacuum that made me feel that I was correct in my assumption that they were way over priced. But after buying a Hoover corded, where it quickly failed with an irreplaceable battery. Followed that with a cheap corded version, ok but a pain with a cord. And then a cheap knockoff of the Dyson style that has very little suction, and now I broke down and bought a Dyson to try it because the price was right. First off these ARE better than the cheaper knock-offs. A lot more suction with these. And all the parts fit together better and smoother connecting and disconnecting. Coming from an engineering background I immediately noticed how so many little things had been done right. I am impressed. I hope it holds up. If I had bought a Dyson in the first place I could have purchased the most expensive version for what I spent on all the others.aruba4me2

I have had my Dyson v7 for about two weeks now, and I have nothing but good things to say about it. The size / weight / no cord / maneuverability is perfect for getting to every spot that my old vacuum could not reach. I can now vacuum under the bed, on the bookcases, the stairs, the HVAC air return, etc with ease – and it also works great in the car! The suction is good, and having a simple bag-less canister is great. The only issue I have is not with the machine, but with my choice of which Dyson version to purchase. My Dyson v7 works exactly (actually better than) as advertised, but sometimes 30 minutes of run time (which is what is advertised for the v7) is a little shy of what I need. This is not the fault of the vacuum, but I should have purchased a Dyson rated for 60 minutes (the v10 or v11.) Luckily the recharge cycle is not that long – so this is not too much of an issue. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would recomend it to anyone who wants to make the task of vacuuming easier, faster, and more enjoyable.StevenS

I just moved into a new apartment and have saved up for this Dyson and it was the best decision I have made. My new place is a 2 bed/2 bath apartment with mostly hard floors and carpets in the bedroom. After going to Dyson’s website and taking their quiz. First, I have to suggest going through Dyson’s website to purchase and not through a 3rd party (Amazon, Target, etc). Dyson offers a price match, you are ensured a warranty, if you wish to get additional attachments, you can know you are getting the correct ones. Next, after know about what model and price point I needed, I was able to look at each machine and pick out the best that would work for me, my cleaning routine, and my home. My Dyson came with so many different attachments (included!!!) but the reason I chose this one was it had different heads for one for each type of flooring, carpet or hard floors. I can remove the wand to make the attachments handheld to clean my couch, add it and a soft bristle head to clean the walls and the top corners next to my ceiling. I could go on and on. This isn’t a vacuum… this has replaced so many different tools I used to clean and, above all, my favorite part, as new apartments can come some lingering bugs, I take the head off and can stay far enough away and still catch and dump the creepy-crawlies. It is my new bug killing machine. As I said, I could write a novel about how much I love this Dyson. It was worth every penny.heather.n

First of all; I have a DC33 for almost 10 years and it is still working excellent, I had repaired a minor cosmetic issue but this is a great tool from Dyson. I really appreciate the thoughtful design of these machines and everything that Dyson produces. This is an outstanding company. Now, we bought the V8 Absolute and we are even more impressed with such beautiful design, with such a great details and mostly with the efficiency of a Dyson. The quality of the VB-Absolute is visible and tangible; this is a great investment and a great tool to implement in our home. I got a V7 in Jan 2019. Initially, and for about 1.5 yrs., I thoroughly enjoyed it. Then my housecleaner told me a charge didn't last more than 10 mins. Because I have another plug-in vacuum, I didn't think much of it at the time. Then I hired another cleaner. She brought her own vacuum so it hasn't been used at all since Jan 2022. Just in the last week, I tried to use it and it only lasted about 30 seconds. I had a very good experience with the website and service person on the phone but I have been advised that a new battery is necessary. If that is correct, I must say that I am disappointed in Dyson. I expected better performance from their machine. For a machine that is 3 1/2 yrs. old and only used perhaps 2 years of that (and not solely because I have another machine), I think the battery should last longer. And, if the cost of the battery is 1/4 of the price of the machine, I think that is even more disappointing. And, it's the cost of the battery + shipping. My carpenter husband has battery powered tools, uses them consistently and has never had to replace a battery. That knowledge doesn't help me. Is it possible that the charging station is defective? At any rate, as much as I loved it in the beginning, I'm pretty unhappy at present. I recommended my vacuum to lots of friends at first but now, I would have to tell them the whole story and what to expect.Bren

This machine is very well built, I think it was released in 2021 and you can tell it’s the same high quality you would get from a metal vacuum costing $100’s more. This is not very heavy to push around and it even works on hard floors without damaging them. The suction is very strong. At 1st I thought the piece connecting the suction to the dust tank looked poorly made with a air gap, but it was my mistake, this thing is perfectly built to capture all dust without releasing it back into the air. I also thought the rewind cord feature was poorly made at 1st being plastic, but it’s pressure powered and with the right pressure from your foot on the knob it powerfully snatches the cord right in every time. 12ft height ceiling cleaning hose for filter vacuuming and stuff is the future. This is the vacuum you want for around $100 and i think this is the 2021 model.Gamer7

This is the worst vacuum I’ve ever owned and I’ve only had it a week! To use the hose-you disconnect it with a button-and dirt you’ve already cleaned out falls on the floor. To clean the canister-you have to put your hand up into it and continually shake the thing to get the dirt and stuff to fall down so it can be thrown away-all the whole dirt is getting on you and your floor. You have to completely pull all of the cord out when you use it-or it overheats! Sometimes you only need a foot of cord. The cord rewind button is flimsy and cheap and the rewind doesn’t work by itself-I’d rather secure the cord myself than deal with this. If could give negative stars-I would! Very solid machine. I love the brush attachment, it really gets the dog hair out of the sofa well, even better if you approach stubborn areas from angles other than the typical far to near motion. I’ve been frustrated in the past with how cheaply vacuums can be made and I didn’t want another one like that. I had a very nice cleaner years ago I bought at Home Depot. It broke, and then I went to tile and wood flooring, so I just didn’t use a vacuum for a long time. I’m so glad I tried this because I’m not sure but it seems exactly like the one that I had years ago, with a different color. Suction is great. I no longer need to dread spider webs and cleaning furniture and the like the old way….nice to have this decent tool back.Jese
