Out of the box, the vacuum was great. Sucked up everything. Within a month, it was basically a glorified hand vacuum. The only way I can get it to do anything is to use remove the hose and the attachments. The actual suction when using it upright is terrible. It vibrates like a dolphining F1 race car, makes a hideous popping and hissing sound from the side, and worst of all, leaves fuzz, dirt , and giant hard balls of lint all over my floors rather than actually cleaning them. Using this vacuum is more work than simply using a broom and a hand held dirt Devil. Customer service was helpful in trying to fix the issues but the suggested solve didn't work. It does quality performing for pet hair to include the turbo extension tool for upholstery. DO READ ALL the instructions so you know how to properly use it. Don't assume! The tools are ill placed with the placement and storage of the electrical cord (always falling off). The telescope for the hose to attachments doesn't lock properly and always ALWAYS pushing back in. I don't have an issue with pet hair on the roller getting stuck, but I do with human hair and any amount of length to trash. The spot where the hose connects to the canister is constantly getting clogged because it is small and narrow, needs to be wider. Pay CLOSE attention when taking the filter out of the canister and putting it back; there is a reason it is meticulously marked. The alignment must be perfect or it won't go back together properly; this is the same for everything on the vacuum. Hard to push when vacuuming (hence one of the reasons I said to read instructions carefully)? You have to provide some air to release the amount of suction, so it moves easier with the little knob on the left; by the way, it moves also on its own.feltermail
Within 1 minute of its' first use this model #2475 Pet Hair Eraser Turbo had its' brush roll stop spinning before a small 10×10 foot area was complete. The belt assembly is centre mounted so debris from both sides of the brush roll collects towards its' centralized belt motor which sits open with nothing to protect it from debris. This results in it being the furthest thing from the "tangle free" unit it is advertised as. Removal of the head screws holding the bottom cover in place is quite easy so I was able to see what was causing the jam (see picture attached). The manufacturer claims the unit can accept hair length of 4-8 inches. The longest of the hairs in this pictures is 3 inches, so the job in question should have been well within the manufacturer's guidelines. Upon reassembling the base the unit promptly got jammed a second time. After once again removing the clog I decided to give it a different task, cleaning hardwood. This unit has a key feature for those with hardwood floors, its' brush can turn on/off, saving your hardwood from being scratched by the roller. Sadly there is very little suction (see video attached). I found without the brush roll spinning the machine picks up essentially nothing. The last major feature this unit is its' heavily marked "pet hair eraser" attachments. The Pet Turbo Eraser" is nothing more than the same "turbo brush" or "handi-mate" that has been commonplace on vacuum's since the 1950's. The "two in one" pet brush is a traditional fabric brush as is the crevice tool. There is nothing fundamentally different with these attachments than what is industry standard from most vacuum suppliers. I've had Bissell units before, the last being the significantly cheaper "Clearview Alergen Lift-Off Pet Upright Vaccuum." It lasted 2 years before dying a few weeks after its warranty expired precipitating the purchase of this Turbo model. All in all a poor vacuum. Don't buy this.Jimmy

Honestly haven’t had any major complaints about the vacuum. We do have kids so we use it probably every other day to 2 days. It’s a compact vacuum which is a plus. The one tiniest complaint I’d have is after going back and forth a couple times there are some items that you would think the vacuum would pick up, but doesn’t. Instead, I use the detachable wand for those odd pieces. I should clarify, the vacuum has picked up 99% of what is seen on the carpet. It’s just those random odd stragglers and it doesn’t happen every time. As for our tiles, I just use the wand to pick up anything necessary then jet swift it but that’s a different product.GL
To start off I would have to say that the Dirt Devil Endura Max Upright vacuum is a high quality performing product. There is very great suction when it comes to pet hair and even popcorn in the carpet that my child had spilled. The spinning brush is adjustable to many settings. Such as bare floor to higher profile carpet. It does a great job of pulling dirt and hair out of my medium profile carpet. It isn't to heavy so when I use the extended hose handle I can carry it from place to place. One thing in was not a fan of was the multi dusting piece. It was a little to bulky to fit into my window seal to get that dirt out. The smaller end was also not long and thin enough to fit into my dryer vent. The dusting piece also added extra unnecessary bulk. It is a nice concept but it isn't as great as the individual pieces. Other than my opinion on the duster, I really enjoy and love my Dirt Devil Endura Max Upright vacuum. If you are contemplating this purchase, I recommend you try this product. Other than marrying my ex husband, buying this vacuum was the worst decision of my life. It is bulky and cheap plastic. Extremely loud and makes my arm go numb from all of the vibration! It has a "hardwood" setting but the brush still spins in that setting, which can scratch the hardwood. I was excited about the pet brush attachment, but is doesn't really work since the attachment will NOT stay on the hose or in the attachment holder, for that matter. It does not have much suction, I feel running a lint brush over the carpet would pick up more! I won't even give this vaccum away because I wouldn't want anyone to hate me!BBB Customer

For a long time I was considering returning this vacuum. The only reason I haven't is because it works well enough and I don't have the time to go vacuum hunting. It's an okay vacuum but it is literally just okay. The suction is good but after a little while the vacuum becomes hard to push. It does pick up a lot of dirt, dust and hair though. The hose suction is terrible and practically nonexistent. I used the hose to vacuum up a spider which, with my old vacuum, would have killed it. But this vacuum didn't kill it and it somehow escaped (I got it the next day with a shoe but really, it's that easy for them to escape??). Also the attachments will not stay on the vacuum AT ALL so I have to keep them in a bag. The cord is long, but too long. This vacuum was purchased by my household less about 10 months ago and it's already broken. I have used it almost daily, so it's gotten a lot of use. Worked great at first, but had to replace belts at least once a month because they kept breaking. I was using the vacuum at the correct setting for carpet height, however it kept switching to bare floor mode by itself. I wasn't sure how that was happening. Also, the top part of the handle cracked in half, which I believe is due to design flaw. When you are pushing the vacuum, this seemed to be the point that would bear the most weight and it's the thinnest part of the handle. Seriously, this thing is epic. Still mostly plastic on the exteripr, but, unlike cheaper vacuums, this has a but of quality and detail to it. The quality of plastics is higher, the quality of molds and designing are better too. This thing is no louder than any other vacuum I have ever owned, with the brush ruler off. But, turn that on (it can be disengaged on the fly with a foot pedal fit quick switching between carpet and hardwood floors – nice), and it is rather loud. You definitely know those brushes are spinning. I am fine with that, but some may be snowflakes about noise (or have sleeping babies – I understand not wanting THIS vacuum if you have a baby and relish a little nap time). If you aren't whisper-thirsty… THIS Vacuum will suck the ghosts out of a haunted carpet. I literally only have two rooms with carpet and a hallway, yet this sucker nearly filled its canister on the FIRST use! Seriously, I pulled up enough dirt, dust, sand dander, and dog fur that I ended up with about two pounds of filth to dump once I was done (and I only vacuumed the master bedroom and hall!!!). Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum is light weight & really easy to remove the canister from the stick stick. Glides nicely over our entire house which has mostly wood floors and tile, but did well on multiple rugs with different pile heights. It even comes with attachments to clean the stairs, furniture or our SUV & truck. We had a different cordless one but needed a vacuum we didn’t have to worry about running out of battery 1/2 way through our home. The cord is super long so that helps us from having to re-plug every few feet. The dust compartment is simple to empty and clean out with a press of a button. We have 2 dogs and 4 kids so we’re constantly vacuuming, the power is awesome and it’s convenient to easily unload the debris. It’s lightweight too, so it’s easy for me to move around the house without it being a hassle. There is a little downside to it, which is that it doesn’t stand on its own, so you’ll have to either prop it on something or fold it (which is easy) in order to do something else if needed while vacuuming. The Shark Rocket Pro, picks up VERY well. The area I first vacuumed with it, was a area that had been vacuumed the day before. Within five minutes, the Shark had picked up A LOT more. The vacuum was easy to assemble and the attachment comes apart easily to be able to vacuum the ceiling and other had to get to areas. The Shark glides across any floor easily and turns easily. The only drawback I found with this Shark machine was the motor was near the top of the handle and it made the machine top heavy. It doesn’t stand on it’s own. There are two small attachments that didn’t have anywhere to attach to the machine, that I could find. But, as well as this machine works, I find these to be minor problems. I really like how light weight it is, I can very easily maneuver it around the house with little effort and let me say how GREAT it picks up all the dirt and debris from my floors. It's powerful for its size. But it's not super durable. From what I've read, Shark doesn't make many replacement parts and there aren't many opportunities to repair their products. After about 2 years, several important parts were broken, including the hinge holding the dust cup together. We've been using packing tape to hold together the dust cup, and we have to cut off the tape to empty it and then re-tape it shut every time. Also the main little interior hose at the bottom that connects the head to the stick cracked wide open. The brush gets wrapped with long hair easily. The suction is pretty bad now, probably because of all these issues. Overall pros: It's great on wood floors, good on rugs, and works well while it lasts. Lightweight and easy to maneuver and carry up stairs. I like the attachments and they're easy to use. Long cord. Bagless is more environmentally friendly, although it's best to empty it into a plastic bag anyways. It's a good deal when it's on sale for $100. Overall cons: Doesn't stand up on its own. Cheaply made. The dust bin is really small. It's a hassle to empty the dust bin because you have to unplug the whole vacuum and carry the entire cord out to the trash can with you to empty the cup. Also, bagless vacuums just seem dirtier to me since the dust and hair isn't actually contained. It's always gross emptying it and trying to avoid the cloud of crap flying up at you. It is amazing honestly. We vacuumed our carpets with our old Shark right before we went to Target to look for a new one. We came home and vacuumed again over all of it. The canister filled up TWICE. I was mortified lol. This vacuum has powerful suction and harder tips on the roller that RAKE the carpet and get the film of dog hair out of my thick plush carpeting. I’m not lying. If I was unimpressed, I would tell you so! You DO have to empty the canister more than you would any other vacuum because it is small. If you are continuously vacuuming every room in your house and not emptying, you are going to put extra stress on the motor. It IS a stick vacuum. If you need heavy duty, 5-6 rooms at a time vacuuming, this isn’t your vacuum. I had to empty after EACH room because my vacuum obviously wasn’t doing its job. But I expect next time I won’t (I hope) because I will be pulling out the vacuum daily and keeping the dirt to a minimal in general. I really wanted cordless but my man insisted he didn’t want to deal with battery issues. I’ve never had a cordless and I just wanted one so bad. Cords irritate me and get in my way lol. But this purchase was good. So far I am very satisfied. I will definitely come back and redo my review if I feel like my opinion has changed in a couple months. I’ve had this vacuum for 4 years. Here are my thoughts: PROS 1. Good suction, still finds dust and dirt and pet hair 2. Lightweight and really low profile so you can vacuum under things easily 3. Price is amazing for the quality 4. No bags and all the filters I can clean out on my own and reuse. Huge cost and environmental savings. 5. Easy and fast detach / attach for getting corners and using the tools that come with it. 6. Dust bin opens easily and smart so I can hold it over the trash and won’t get dust everywhere. Less messy to empty than others. CONS 1. Corded 2. Hose broke down in head where it bends and flexes as you vacuum, I noticed it at year 3.5, so I had to replace that segment of hose (had holes/cracks in it). I purchased a hose at Home Depot and found some instructions online. Overall it was moderately hard to replace. 3. Suction does not adjust when you vacuum over rugs like the expensive name brand competitor so I have to stand on one end to hold the rug down due to the suction wanting to pickup the rug. 4. Doesn’t sit upright, must lean against a wall when it’s not hanging on the wall given it is too heavy. If you pause during vacuuming to pick something up etc. the thing may fall down while leaning against the wall. Takes a bit of experience to get the perfect, no-fall lean figured out.jessica.b

Ordered this bundle for such a great deal! Unfortunately, the item was delivered to the wrong address by FedEx. Totally not Hoover's fault. They re-shipped another bundle to me, and it worked out well the second time. I love these vacuums! They do a great job on our hardwoods and rugs and carpet. Our two year old loves to help vacuum too – that's how light the stick vacuum is! Being cordless is such a plus!!! Only wish that the batteries weren't so expensive, but that's not a huge deal. We purchased one extra battery just so both the handheld and stick have their own batteries. I will say that the handheld is far inferior to the stick, but it works for what we need (to do the stairs and our cars) – just have to go over the same areas multiple times, as the suction isn't stellar. I would recommend and purchase the stick vacuum again for sure… just probably not the handheld.Moon
I bought this cordless vac because I like any conveniences I can get when it comes to house work. I use my floor cleaners more often when cordless. I can glady skip wrapping/unwrapping, plugging/unplugging cords in and out of electrical outlets from room to room. I've been happy with this cordless since I got it last July (not quite one year old). It was an upgrade overall from what I had. However the hose got a hole in it not about 6-7 months in. Not from anything I could figure out. I duct taped it and after a second hole, I contacted the Manufacturer, since it's still within a 3 year warranty. They said the hose is not made anymore – already out of making the parts??? They will replace it — okay, — but I have to mail the whole vac back on my dime. They will pay for the shipment of the new unit. Which may be kinda fair, but it's too soon for this type of episode with a not quite a year old vacuum. Since the parts are not being made – there's no commitment to this product by the mfr. I did not buy at this store, but thought I would let someone know if considering — please don't do it.Chickee
I was going back and forth between this and the shark navigator cordless. They seemed pretty even on reviews. I mostly decided on this because it's was on sale on the Hoover website! I had to wait a little longer to get it then I would from other sites(about 5 days from the day I ordered it) but it was worth the price difference for sure. I was worried about it as I have 4 dogs. A great dane(high shedder short hair), a Mini Aussie( How shedder clumpy hair), a King Shepherd(high shedder clumpy long hair) and a Cheweenie(high shedder short hair. I also have a maine coon cat. So, I essentially have lots of hair everywhere, all the time. I do NOT know how this performs on carpers because I bought it for my wood floors( bathrooms(2), hallway, entryway, dining room, and kitchen.) So far it has worked great for me. I have had ZERO clog issues despite the amount of hair it has to pick up and I have been able to vacuum all the above mentioned rooms in one swoop without the battery going dead. It picks everything up easily. I actually accidentally sucked up a good size piece of paper today and really though it would cause my first clog, but atlas it didn't. So far this vacuum is performing perfectly for me. I think the only downside I can think of as of now is the fact that a replacement battery is 100$. However, there are off brand batteries other places that are compatible with this vacuum for half the price, and the reviews on them state that they actually work better than the original hoover battery… So, I will probably just go that route whenever I need a new battery. Out of the box, the vacuum was great. Sucked up everything. Within a month, it was basically a glorified hand vacuum. The only way I can get it to do anything is to use remove the hose and the attachments. The actual suction when using it upright is terrible. It vibrates like a dolphining F1 race car, makes a hideous popping and hissing sound from the side, and worst of all, leaves fuzz, dirt , and giant hard balls of lint all over my floors rather than actually cleaning them. Using this vacuum is more work than simply using a broom and a hand held dirt Devil. Customer service was helpful in trying to fix the issues but the suggested solve didn't work. It does quality performing for pet hair to include the turbo extension tool for upholstery. DO READ ALL the instructions so you know how to properly use it. Don't assume! The tools are ill placed with the placement and storage of the electrical cord (always falling off). The telescope for the hose to attachments doesn't lock properly and always ALWAYS pushing back in. I don't have an issue with pet hair on the roller getting stuck, but I do with human hair and any amount of length to trash. The spot where the hose connects to the canister is constantly getting clogged because it is small and narrow, needs to be wider. Pay CLOSE attention when taking the filter out of the canister and putting it back; there is a reason it is meticulously marked. The alignment must be perfect or it won't go back together properly; this is the same for everything on the vacuum. Hard to push when vacuuming (hence one of the reasons I said to read instructions carefully)? You have to provide some air to release the amount of suction, so it moves easier with the little knob on the left; by the way, it moves also on its own.feltermail
Within 1 minute of its' first use this model #2475 Pet Hair Eraser Turbo had its' brush roll stop spinning before a small 10×10 foot area was complete. The belt assembly is centre mounted so debris from both sides of the brush roll collects towards its' centralized belt motor which sits open with nothing to protect it from debris. This results in it being the furthest thing from the "tangle free" unit it is advertised as. Removal of the head screws holding the bottom cover in place is quite easy so I was able to see what was causing the jam (see picture attached). The manufacturer claims the unit can accept hair length of 4-8 inches. The longest of the hairs in this pictures is 3 inches, so the job in question should have been well within the manufacturer's guidelines. Upon reassembling the base the unit promptly got jammed a second time. After once again removing the clog I decided to give it a different task, cleaning hardwood. This unit has a key feature for those with hardwood floors, its' brush can turn on/off, saving your hardwood from being scratched by the roller. Sadly there is very little suction (see video attached). I found without the brush roll spinning the machine picks up essentially nothing. The last major feature this unit is its' heavily marked "pet hair eraser" attachments. The Pet Turbo Eraser" is nothing more than the same "turbo brush" or "handi-mate" that has been commonplace on vacuum's since the 1950's. The "two in one" pet brush is a traditional fabric brush as is the crevice tool. There is nothing fundamentally different with these attachments than what is industry standard from most vacuum suppliers. I've had Bissell units before, the last being the significantly cheaper "Clearview Alergen Lift-Off Pet Upright Vaccuum." It lasted 2 years before dying a few weeks after its warranty expired precipitating the purchase of this Turbo model. All in all a poor vacuum. Don't buy this.Jimmy

I LOVE my Hoover Total Home Pet bagless vacuum cleaner! I vacuum my house at least daily due to having one big dog and 2 cats that all seem to shed. I usually end up purchasing a new vacuum every year. I have owed so many vacuums over the years and I have never bought the same one twice. I think I have found my forever brand and model with the Hoover Total Home Pet bagless vacuum! I love how powerful this vacuum is! After one vacuum, I was amazed at how much hair was in the canister! I love that the vacuum is lightweight since I have to carry it to three different floors in my home. I like the different settings for both the carpet and the hardwood as my home has both types of flooring. The suction on this vacuum is so powerful, you will be amazed! The tools that came with this vacuum are awesome! The quick release cleaning wand is perfect to clean those high areas and the dusting brush is extremely helpful with cleaning the blinds, curtains and ceiling fans. My favorite attachment tool though is the pet turbo tool! This tool is so easy to use and gets all the hair off my couches and steps! Thank you Hoover for making such a powerful vacuum cleaner! The overall feel of this vacuum cleaner would best be described as cheap. The plastic used for the housing is flimsy and the handle itself feels unsecure. The dirt collection canister is difficult to release due to the manufacture glue holding the flap in place. The brush attachment stopped working within 10 minutes of use and when it does run the attachment provides poor cleaning power. Overall I am not satisfied with the vacuum and I have begun my return of the item. I purchased this and a Hoover carpet cleaner and I am just as displeased with the cleaner.Bill
I've had this vacuum for a b little over a year as a spare for upstairs. I don't use it that often and it had worked fine for what I needed. Then it shut off the other day while using it. I discovered hair clogs in the hose. Seriously disappointed since this is specifically for households with pets. I cleared the clogs, cleaned the brushroll and tried again. There was very little suction and it still turned off after a few minutes of use. I took out the filters & made sure they were clean. I was actually surprised at how clean they were. Tested it again this morning and there is still no suction. It gets hot and shuts off. Not sure if I should spend the money to get it services or just throw it away. I don't remember if I registered it for the warranty and there doesn't seem to be a way to check the website.Candace

I’ve never in my life owned a Dyson but I finally decided to splurge and I’m glad I did! Here are my first impressions after getting up at the crack of dawn excited to test it out haha! It’s much quieter than I thought which is appreciated for those early morning cleanups after my toddler makes a mess but my older daughter is still sleeping. That laser is amazing but terrible at the same time…holy lord the stuff it was bringing to my attention was wild. I love the attachments and the one that lets you make it a 90 angle to go right under couches and furniture…chefs kiss. The floor dok is also a really nice feature as I don’t really have somewhere to mount it to the wall. It’s definitely heavier than I anticipated it to be. I do find I’m switching arms a lot so for someone who may be older or limited mobility it may be a bit cumbersome. I don’t hate that you have to press the button constantly to keep it on as it’s easier when you need to stop and go, but I do find it a bit awkward and my hand is a touch sore. I had it fully charged and used it for just over an hour and it’s now dead; I accomplished two floors, two sets of stairs and a couch set in that time. I only have hard floors besides two area rugs which are ruggables, and with the laser brush it has to be on eco otherwise it pulls them up. The other head it comes with does not work at all over ruggables. I don’t have any other ‘carpet’ so I cannot speak to its abilities with that. There are so many attachments this model comes with but there’s no where to store them – I would like to see some extra attachments for the floor dok to store them all. All in all though, highly satisfied with my purchase. I feel as though this is a prime example of “pay for what you get”. It’s a hefty price tag but I suspect this will last me years!Lindz02
This vacuum has the best suction and with 2 golden retrievers I need it but here are the cons It’s heavy and you have to hold in the switch to keep it running guessing this is to preserve the battery. All of the weight of the vacuum as at your wrist and hand and while 4.5 lbs doesn’t seem like much as you are holding it and the on button it is very stressful to your arm wrist and hand. When moving from hardwood to shag (I have all hardwood and two 8×10 shag type area rugs) the beater bar stops and the machine quits working even when you stop and move it to the highest setting so it won’t vacuum my area rugsI can’t even hardly push it through the carpet. I can let it and set it down and pull it. . It will do low pile rugs. Then it won’t stand up on its own you have to lean it on something or never stop vacuuming. I can get through most of my house 1400 square foot with the light before it dies or moves to eco. The head does not easily release to use just the end to get into tight spaces or replace with another attachment. The cord for the battery is actually quite short if you’re hoping to plug it in a closet or hide away place. Sleek as it may seem I don’t want a vacuum hanging up as decor so I’m going to have to add a plug somewhere out of sight. The pros are the light and suction provided you can really get every hair and see all dust if your room is not to bright the light really shows everything I turn down the lights to vacuum crazy I will definitely not buy another and totally regret this purchase for the price it really should come with two batteries and be able to vacuum carpet. I waited almost a year for the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute (also known by other names in UK/AUS markets) to come back into stock. By the time Dyson Rewards came back for 2022 it was well worth the free Dok and extra tools. Dubbed Dyson’s most powerful cordless Vacuum (for now until/if Gen5 arrives on North American shores), the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute is no slouch at peak 230AW. However running on these settings, are also it’s biggest flaw. At full boost, the battery will run down in sub 10 minutes, although clever marketing might make it seem like you’d get a full 60 minutes if you don’t read carefully. The auto settings are a good happy medium, with the Dyson able to detect if it needs to allocate a quick boost to suck up more stubborn/larger particles, however for legacy Dyson users (used to the superior and non time limited 306 AW) or people who like the power of a commercial vacuum, it can leave you a little wanting. To test whether or not the boost vs auto made much of a difference, I tested with the lights off, and vacuumed a standard hardwood floor. Dyson adverts typically show the user walking in a straight line seamlessly sucking up the path ahead, so this was the approach taken to ensure accurate repro. On auto, at first look, the Dyson missed some areas on first pass, as well as struggled with elevated parts of the flooring. Boost picked up particles no problem, but at the expense of the battery life. The laser sees *everything* missed, but also might make you even more of a clean freak. For spot checking (on plush animals, furniture and cushions), boost worked well and I could complete most tasks within the 10 minute time constraints. 4.5 hours seems like a long time to wait before being able to use the device again however especially with quick charge technology available in 2022. Pros: • Best Cordless Dyson in North America today. • Laser is amazing. • LED is great for toggling between settings and validating the work that has been done. • Boost is nothing to scoff at. Cons: • Very short battery life on boost. • Tool clip and nozzle shipped in *free additional tools* non-compatible. • As with most Dyson products, the fact they are made from silicon/plastic works as a magnet to attract dust and I find dust on the exterior of the housing on most days. One last piece, not exclusively related to the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute, but related to the items received in the bundle, the tool (specifically the noozle), did not fit flush in the tool clip which allows you to connect 2x tools to either the dock or the wand. I tried alternating all tools, angles, tightness of the clip, and still could not get the nozzle to fit without protruding (show in image), so came to the conclusion this is was missed in their considerations design. There is another nozzle (and light nozzle) which should fit onto the tool clip, but this did not ship in the tool bundle, and, would cost additional to buy. Either the tool clip needs to be redesigned to compensate for the added rim around the nozzle shipped or, this should be remedied through replacement program. • Not too heavy (can also be held with both hands for added weight distribution).

I LOVE DYSON. It’s been a love affair for @15 or so years. I had the V-6 and made an excuse that college child needed so I could get the V-11animal. No one in my house were allowed to use. It WAS my baby – empty nester at the time. I bought it shortly after it first came out so it has the screwed in battery. I needed a cordless vacuum that was able to pick up Belgian Malinois Shepard fur from H _ _ _, easy to use, lighter than a full vacuum BUT WORK AS WELL OR BETTER than a full-size – I have chronic back pain and fibromyalgia and numbness… Yes in my crazy perfect vacuum dream world this existed and it DID! Thanks Dyson! It checked EVERY box of my needs, well except price. It was the most I have ever spent on something for me but dang it I deserved it and NEEDED it. It has been absolutely incredible! I would have told you 2 years ago do whatever you need to and buy bc it has incredible suction, awesome holders for tools with wall mount and on pole, adjustable suction on torque floor tool, adjust able power – Eco for low dirt area, Auto and Boost for deeper and stronger suction. So those are PROS. CONS are you need to press trigger to power it so with my neuropathy in hands at times I cannot vac, need to remove any attachments to empty dirt bin, after @8-12 months the bin empty slide started to stick, and then at 2 years (WARRANTY EXPIRED) and @5 months it started to shut off and then turn on. Called customer support and and they did a video troubleshoot and said it’s the battery. Well no battery in stock. Actually ABSOLUTELY ZERO SPARE PARTS for my baby have been in stock for over a month now! A week or so later it stopped more and then shut down. Called again and told it was the cyclone part (a guy on YouTube had same exact issue but his warranty was still active) BUT NO PART available. He told me to call or go to my nearest Dyson service center. Well the nearest in @1.25hrs. away. I do not have a car – getting divorced so I took my Dyson V11 animal and he got our 25 y/o car worth about the same. He fought for my V11 which was honestly a no win – I don’t know what he was thinking. Lol Plus the service center when I finally reached a person said that maybe it’s the trigger and I could mail it in. I still haven’t decided bc why pay to ship something that there’s no parts for? I rarely ever leave reviews but this thing is great! This is my first Dyson purchase and I have a German Shepard mix who sheds constantly, this V11 handles his hair with ease. I love the flexibility to use it anywhere with the attachments that are included, my personal favorite is the mini motorized tool. The simple design makes it easy to clean and maintenance. This thing picks up dirt that you don’t even see, especially in carpets and area rugs. I am also one who cares about packaging and this thing is packaged perfectly. The only downside, like all electronics is the battery life. 5 to 6 minutes on boost mode is not enough for a vacuum of this cost. I would like to see Dyson sell an additional king power cord that can be used to power the vacuum directly more like a traditional vacuum if needed for those of us with bigger houses with lots of carpeted areas.Jxustin
After reading these reviews I can't help but think that these machines are designed to last for roughly 2.5 years. My machine did the exact same thing that others have written about. I purchased this machine back in January 2020, about a month ago it started cutting off during use. The cutting off started getting more frequently to the point where the machine stays on for about 2 seconds before cutting off which makes it inoperable. So I call the service center to be told that my machine is out of warranty as of January 2022 and a replacement motor will cost $116. It is really unfortunate that a $700 machine is designed to last 2.5 years before you have to put more money into it. The sad part about it is that most people will pay the $116 because you can not get a new decent vac for that price and secondly, you have already invested $700 in this machine. It is very disheartening, and I wish I would have went with a different brand.Trise

I have had a Hoover Windtunnel since 2012 and love it. This vacuum is terrible. It has good suction but………When it is in the Upright position so you can use the attachments the roller brush does not shut off. It ruins your carpet! It actually was smelling like something was burning. I think the belt was slipping. Bad engineering to not have the roller brush shut off in the upright position. What kind of idiot would say yes to a design like this? Our Windtunnel shuts off in the upright position. Tried to call Hoover….was told they were closed on a Thursday, I Was told in a recording to go online which I did but chat said they were closed and to call them. PING PONG affect going on here. DUMB….. Then on Friday was on hold 2 hrs before it cut me off. Called back, pressed the prompt for a call back and never got one the entire day and still no call back. Today is Monday called again and again We are closed after going through all the prompts to wait for an agent. Went online to chat and actually got someone named Honey B who was a bit rude saying we are open, just busy. So there is a difference of being closed and saying busy hang on….. Then when I told about the problem we had I was told to talk to who makes our carpet. Pass the buck Hoover on poor engineering huh????. You should never have a vacuum that the brush spins and spins when it's in one place. This vacuum was made to use attachments so put the rollers into idle please while using them. You will wear out your carpet and wear out your vacuum belt. Hoover will try everything I'm sure to cover our damaged carpet….SO BUYER beware. FORGET this vacuum. Its junk. I grew up using Hoover products and have used them my entire adult life. I researched all brands/models before replacing our older Hoover. We decided on this vacuum due to having three cats and it's excellent reviews. The first time I vacuumed with it, I loved it. I actually still love it's vacuuming capabilities (after using it a month). The fault with this product lies in the fact that as soon as you turn on the vacuum, the brush turns at a very high speed (while vacuum is still in upright position) and the brush doesn't stop until you turn off the vacuum, regardless of floor setting or if you are using the upholstery/stair attachments. I've never had a vacuum like this before and being that it's specifically designed for pet owners, the fact that the brush turns when the upholstery attachments are in use baffles me. While trying to vacuum our couch the brush actually wore on our carpet and heated it to the point of melting after less than a minute. I tried manipulating the vacuum and leaning it back off the carpet while using the attachment but that is just way too much effort. We tried it on all floor settings including hard floor with the same results. Honestly, the brush shouldn't turn until the handle is released for vacuuming so I'm not exactly sure why it was made this way. I returned it thinking I had a faulty vacuum and exchanged it for the same model (it does vacuum really well), and the second vacuum did the same, so I must assume it's simply a design flaw. So if your pet's don't shed on furniture or stairs I recommend this model, otherwise It pains me to say that I don't recommend it.Cat mom of three
Well, it seems to do ok but there are some things that make me wonder why they were designed the way they were. The on switch should be up at the top of the handle instead of being a foot switch where the reclining lever used to be for something like 100 years of Hoover vacuums. To recline the handle now requires I reach around with my foot and step on the front of the machine while forcing the handle down. It's very awkward and silly to change a design that worked for a century. And the rug height adjustment is a little touchy. I set it around medium and started vacuuming a very low rug and didn't know the belt was slipping until I smelled rubber burning. Oops. Once I learned to dial the height properly the vacuum does a pretty good job of cleaning pet hair and dirt from carpet. I had been vacuuming with a shop vac and thought my rugs were fairly clean, but the Hoover with the spinning brushes managed to pull out a lot more dirt that I missed. Emptying the canister is straightforward. I take it outside and blow it with a leaf blower. I can't imagine getting it sufficiently clean any other way without using water. Overall it's a marvel of engineering that performs its job very well, but with a couple very obvious design blunders that renders it a bit awkward to use.Randal

Both my Daughter and I have long hair and the self cleaning roller brush is amazing. Picks up everything from my hardwood floors in the first pass. Battery run time is optimal for what I need and hands down it outperforms my cordless Euphy stick vac. I also have a large dog with short hair and it did a fantastic job picking up hair that I couldn’t even see on the floor. Price point was great (bought on sale and Best Buy had the lowest price). Purchased this earlier this year when we got our puppy, and what a life saver! Beat hauling a bigger vacuum out and being limited by electrical outlets, especially with a busy puppy around the house. I saw the reviews about losing suction, but you should be keeping the canister cleaned after each use anyway which is as simple as releasing the bottom into the trash. Any other suction loss is usually due to hair or lint building up in the vacuum head which takes 2 minutes to clear. Works great on floors and carpet, super light to do the stairs and bring up and down the stairs. Charge lasts me about 2-3 days use. No complaints other than it could be “prettier”? Lol. I live in an 800 square foot apartment with hardwood floors and one longhair cat, and I found this vacuum unable to cut it. It comes with a rolling cleaner, a brush attachment and a corner attachment. When packed up to charge, there’s no place to put the brush or corner attachment. The rolling cleaner has two small felt wheels that allow it to roll. On first use, both of the wheels became full of cat hair and locked up. I tried to clean them, but it wasn’t immediately apparent how to do it. Eventually I was able to pry them out, with some slight cosmetic damage to the wheels. I’m used to using a roomba, and don’t mind some light maintenance work to keep a vacuum running well. What’s not acceptable is the difficulty of removing and cleaning those wheels, and that they fully locked up so quickly.Dan

I have owned house rabbits for over 20 years. They shed a lot, they hop on furniture and shed on that. They eat hay. Hay particles get tracked around. I have runners down to avoid carpet eating and runners on slippery floors that my current rabbit won't walk on. I have an awesome vacuum but it is super heavy, and changing from floor vacuum to the hose, is a super pain. If I try to vacuum the runners, they get sucked up. I finally decided to Google a handheld vacuum for pets. Found this. Best decision I ever made. I can vacuum my furniture with this easily, I can vacuum my runners, spot clean around his litter box and hay area. This is truly a high powered vacuum in a compact size. My regular vacuum is perfect for the floors, amd this is best for everything else. This is truly a life changer for me.
I don't usually review things, but when something really works as advertised, I feel others should know. Bought this a few weeks back to remove cat hair from the quilt on our bed. Lint rollers were just not doing it. Went down the rabbit hole of online research and landed on this being the best option. So far, so good. Does a thorough job of de-hairing our sleep space. Good buy, feel confident if you purchase one for yourself.
Bought this when we were trying to find a litter substrate everyone agreed on- my little guise STILL hold litter in their forepaws and distribute it through my apartment. This hand vac, and it's attachments, quickly became the only vacuum in my studio. we've moved to a much larger apartment and this is still the only vacuum we need- a pass or two over our couch takes ALL of the cat hair. It also pulls the sisal thread out of the carpeted cat tree on a single sweep! Storing this thing, though. I'm here to see if theres an official wall mount. (I can't find it, if there is one.) I tend to leave the narrow tube attached to it; i need that one the most. Even without it, its too long for every drawer and cabinet I have; its current home is under the low coffeetable my TV is on. As such, its kicked sometimes. This thing does not care. I'm glad that the dust bucket is so well connected, and so thick that it resists cracks. My only gripe is truly that this needs some sort of dock to hold or sort the accessories, keep the cable somewhere memorable, and hold the vaccuum somewhere easily accessible.

Terrible vacuum. I don’t have any kids or pets at home, so a vacuum should last me a long time. This is the THIRD Dirt Devil vacuum I’ve had in two years. The belt doesn’t stay on. If you lift it the wrong way, or accidentally bump it on the wall or stairs, it pops off. Sometimes 3 or 4 times in one session. AND… every single time you have to remove 6 screws to put it back on. This vacuum has made me so angry that I’ve made up new cuss words. There’s only so many, and the frustration this causes me requires many more! The opening where the dust canister meets the hose gets clogged (I don’t have pets) so just regular dust is too much for it! Then, it just stops sucking. Well, it definitely sucks, but not the junk on my carpet/hardwood floors. I will never buy another Dirt Devil vacuum again. They shouldn’t fall apart, or stop working properly so quickly. This should have lasted YEARS. It lasted months, and when you only need to vacuum only a couple times a week, and that’s too much to ask of it, it’s garbage. Save the frustration and buy literally anything else. Heck, a lint roller from the dollar store would have been better.Momma

Because of that, I'm uncertain if this will be a durable, long-lasting vacuum. Performance: The Power Max Pet handles surface-level pet hair and debris with ease, but it struggles with anything that is deep in the carpet fibers. The effectiveness might depend on the length of your carpet, but mine is on the medium to short end and it still struggles to pick up anything wedged between the fibers. With that said, since it only performs well for light, surface-level cleaning, I wouldn't recommend this vacuum for deep cleaning, especially if you have long/thick carpet. Another aspect about operating this vacuum that I don't like is that it's quite loud. Features: The quick-release wand, "turboclaw" pet tool, and 2-in-1 combo tool are great for my couches and stairs. I've used them on multiple occasions and appreciate how they help clean hard-to-reach areas and crevices. My cat likes to lay on my couches, and the pet tool has helped limit the hair that tends to remain, especially when she's shedding a lot. This vacuum is okay for the meantime since my other vacuum died. We’ll be moving soon so it will definitely get replaced. I’m a mom of 4 kids (not including a man child and two big dogs). The only time I can really clean is once all the kiddos are in bed. This vacuum is super loud. Luckily, my babies sleep with white noise so they can’t hear it but I’m sure everyone else can including the neighbors. It’s so loud that I thought something was wrong with it the first time I turned it on lol. On the second use, it already got clogged so I don’t have very many high hopes for this vacuum. On the bright side, the nozzle lifts out of the actual vacuum like my old Shark which I like. Unfortunately that is about the only thing I like on this vacuum. I received this vacuum for Christmas, and have been using it daily for about three months now. I really wanted to love this vacuum, but I don't. The main issue I have is with the self-cleaning brushroll: Sure it doesn't tangle, but that would require it to actually pick up fur in the first place. This vacuum adamantly refuses to pick up any fur that isn't just sitting loose on the surface of the rug…which is deeply unhelpful. The roll just wipes fur along, without doing anything to agitate the carpet. I have used the entire battery life of this vacuum on my single living room area rug, just to still need to use my rubber broom. For a vacuum that costs >$300, this is extremely disappointing, and considering the vacuum is called the "pet pro," I truly don't understand why this vacuum simply cannot handle fur in any regard. My second problem with this vacuum is that it leaks dust from every single joint and seam the entire time I'm using it. Who wants to be covered in dust from vacuuming? Not I. Additionally, the wand itself clogs constantly in a way that's very difficult to clean out. In fact, most of this vacuum is difficult to clean, outside of changing the filters. I have two cats and a lab mix who sheds like it's his mission on earth, and frankly, this vacuum just does not cut it.LindseyJoy
I've never made a purchase that I've been more disappointed in. The vacuum worked fine the first couple of times now every time is vacuum my house I have to unclog the machine from the many many many potential clog spots. I never once had this problem with our previous dyson vacuum. I have a golden retriever, so yes, having to maybe unload the vacuum is to be expected however for a product that supposedly specializes in pets, it does a TERRIBLE job. I've had to take apart the base of the bottom when that gets clogged, the shaft of the vacuum comes apart and now hair seems to get clogged making the base of the vacuum essentially worthless. I am so so so bummed and wish I would have returned this while I had the chance. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT IF YOU WANT A PRODUCT THAT ACTUALLY PICKS UP DOG HAIR.Megan
I absolutely love that it is cordless. I loved the black friday price… i think it was $159 or $179 something like that . WAY under the price for a dyson. I absolutely love it. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat all whom shed ALOT. I use this vacuum daily, several times a day and have not had any issue with the battery. Keep in mind i mentioned having a little zoo of animals, so the first month i had to take the machine apart to be able to remove clogged hair on the long stick. The instructions dont really tell you how to clean it. There is more than just emptying the basket. To avoid it getting clogged, i now try to blow out all the hair in the tubes Atleast once a week. Only negative i would mention is I wish it was a bit stronger and wish it gave an option on height. For example if there is a leaf on the floor it will not suck it in becase the vacuum in not high off the ground to pick it up. I believe the dyson is a tad stronger but its not worth paying $400, when i can just use this one for under $200. I do not regret purchasing this at all. With our dog and our new baby all over the floor, we were getting much more worried about fur everywhere. I have a very good vacuum and hand vac already, but the vacuum is heavy and cumbersome and my back is not built for vacuuming the floor with a hand vac. This vacuum was a perfect addition to our home because it is light weight and portable, like the love child of the two vacuums we already had. It is also quiet, so I can vacuum the baby's arena everyday while she naps without waking her up. I feel silly since this in addition to so many other vacuums, but I didn't have the energy to pull out the big one on a daily basis, especially trying to get under furniture and plugging it into different outlets to reach the whole house. My Bissell is not as powerful, but I use it daily so the fur doesn't accumulate and it is better for our lifestyle. And since it has the hand vac attachment, I could have bought just this one instead of my previous two. Oops! Highly recommend, would buy again in a heartbeat. I greeted the Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum with curious skepticism. Having used several vacuums in the past I knew the benefits and drawbacks of corded and cordless vacuums. I tried a Eureka cordless vacuum in the past and the battery took over 12 hours to charge for just 15-20 minutes of vacuuming power, with the suction power being extremely light. I also had a cordless vacuum by Puweike which constantly fell down because I didn't mount the stand against the wall as I had mostly dry wall in my place. I prefer cordless vacuums because even though the corded vacuums owned by Hoover and Oreck offer more power, they are a pain to move from room to room due to having to constantly disconnect and reconnect the cord. The Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum addressed all of these concerns and offered some unexpected surprises. This vacuum took less than one minute to assemble with only two parts to put together. I only had to charge the battery for four hours until it was ready to use. Upon charging it, I noticed the vacuum stands upright, so there is no need to add any mounted stand to the wall as it can be stored anywhere. I also love that I could turn on the brush roll on carpet and off on the hardwood to prevent scratching. The suction is extremely powerful to pick up even the smallest crumbs and I couldn't believe how easy it is to maneuver with the handle folding to get under the sofa. There is a huge bonus to this vacuum as well with the detachable middle which becomes a handheld vacuum for sofas and chairs. Another bonus is the brush and crevice tool for corners and upholstery. The dirt bin is so easy to empty and put back in the vacuum as well. I would recommend the Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum to all my friends and family. This lightweight cordless vacuum is exactly what I needed. I have a good sized 1 bedroom apartment that I share with a cat. A few rooms have area rugs and the rest is all vinyl flooring. I am constantly fighting a battle against cat hair, litter particles, and dust. And losing, until now. This is a dream on my vinyl floors and low pile rugs. I have a large thick pile rug in the living room that this does not work so well on. The suction makes it hard to use when going against the grain of the rug so I use it everywhere else and get the old vac out for that one spot. It’s what I intended to do anyway so I didn’t take off a star. I think it’s swivel makes maneuverability fantastic. The battery works great, assembly was quick and super easy, it’s small and sits upright in a corner charging. It came with three handy attachments for with using the hand vac. I love every Shark product I've owned or gifted to someone else so had high expectations for this stick vac. I have been searching for a good robot vacuum for quite a long time since I'm unable to manage heavy vacuuming any more but none of the independent review articles give high marks to a robot that fits my needs so I turned to light stick vacs for a solution. I love this product. It meets my high expectations for a Shark and with daily 10 minute use on high traffic areas I can keep up with shedding from my medium haired cat in the carpet. The cord is long enough to cover the area and at my age, a cord doesn't bother me at all. The unit and accessories are stored in a closet without an outlet so a cordless vac isn't practical for me. If I have any criticism it's the size of the canister. One does have to take into account the reason I made this purchase, a super lightweight vac to clean cat hair from my carpet, and it makes perfect sense. I simply attach a small trash bag to carry with me in case I need to empty the canister.Shelley
Easy to carry, lightweight. I really do love this vaccum. It has pulled up a lot of dirt and hair from the carpets my rainbow couldn't pick up. I mainly have hard wood floors throughout my house now, with 1 carpeted area and a couple rugs. It's been very handy and picks up a lot. Cons: It lost suction after a year because the tube in the main basehead had cracked with normal use. Customer service could only offer to sell me the main basehead for over 75% of what I paid for the vacuum. This particular part, the tube; is not listed on Shark's website as a "wearable part" nor available. So I wonder why it is not covered by the 5 year limited warrenty? This is the main complaint I have read about that has happend to many others who also purchased the Shark Rocket. I had to do some searching for a tube replacement and we finally found one, then replaced it ourselves. If you do buy this vaccum, I would reccomend paying for extra coverage from the store purchase at as the 5 year limited warrenty is usless for this particular part and issue.Asp84
My husband bought this Shark Rocket for me in hopes of replacing my Dyson Animal with something lighter for quick, daily vacuuming, but it’s not up to the task. First of all, though the Rocket isn’t as big or as heavy as my old vacuum, all of its weight is at the top; the dust bin and motor are connected to the hand-hold, which means my wrist and hand have to support the bulk of its weight. Because the weight isn’t distributed, the small brush is unwieldy – too light to easily control regardless of how much pressure I attempt to push it with. I’m not a weakling, lol, but my arm gets tired FAST. Secondly, there is no way to turn off the roller brush and use just suction on hard surfaces. I have to move really slowly in sweeping the hardwoods, or else the Shark spits crumbs and other debris out the back. Moving slowly = holding the heavy motor/dust bin/handle for longer = even more tired hand/wrist/shoulder. Speaking of the roller brush, it clogs with dog hair and stops rolling after ONE pass over the 5×7 area rug in our seating area; I have to turn off the vacuum and cut the hair from the brush at least four times just in sweeping the one rug (we have two dogs, but I sweep every day, so I’m not asking it to vacuum a week’s worth of hair at once). It’s VERY frustrating. More negatives about this Shark Rocket: 1. It doesn’t stand on its own. If I need to stop sweeping in the middle of the job for any reason, I have to lay the vacuum on the floor, or prop it up against a piece of furniture. I still haven’t figured out how to store it. 2. The cord is also attached to the handle, and gets in the way of dumping the dust bin. 3. The attachments are difficult to use because they attach to the motor/dust bin/handle piece either directly or via a 12” hose, meaning I have to continue to hold the heaviest part of the vacuum while trying to manipulate the tools. 4. Though the brush part of the vacuum is small enough to adequately sweep the carpeted steps, I have to either lift the whole thing up, turn it backwards, and dangle the brush in front of the risers, or fight with the inconvenient and unwieldy attachments to get those areas. I’d say it takes twice as long for me to sweep using this than it does the old, clunky Dyson – definitely not making my life easier. I actually hate this vacuum, and would have returned it after the first use had my husband not thrown out the box it came on. Two hundred bucks for this useless thing.OhioMichelle

Do not buy this vacuum. I had one of these sweepers a long time ago – and I purchased this with high hopes and big expectations. I could not be any more disappointed. Trying to use this piece of crap is so darn frustrating. The air filter and door WILL NOT STAY IN PLACE. It falls out constantly, it absolutely will not stay in place. The vacuum does not pull straight, the hose with the power head will not stand up but falls over. When I am pulling the vacuum as I sweep, even when I am going in a straight line, it runs into the wall or ROLLS OVER ONTO IT'S TOP. Then the lid to the attachments that I couldn't get open previously pop open as it rolls over, and all of the attachments fall out. It is so dang frustrating to use this contraption that I HATE using it. I bought this to make my life easier and also more efficient. I wanted a sweeper that I can use on the floors as well as the walls, curtains, furniture and any nook and cranny in the house. It is so hard to use and so frustrating to have to keep uprighting the vacuum and then put the filter and door back on and then try to get the attachments out and make sure the hose and head are leaned adequately or laid down so they don't fall over and break something – that by that time I am so frustrated I just want to throw it out the door. The reason I gave it one star is because it does have adequate suction – not super great, but adequate. I so wanted to love this sweeper, and I am so disappointed and frustrated with it. I am so sorry that I wasted our hard earned money on it.
This Kenmore vacuum is a piece of Junk. I would give it zero stars but that is not an option. We had a Kenmore vacuum that was awesome for 20 years before it finally died. We thought we could buy the Kenmore BC4026 as a replacement. Wrong. The vacuum has been redesigned with none of the utility of our previous vacuum. The BC4026 is bulky and heavy making it difficult to get in tight to reach places. The end of the wand has a huge locking mechanism for attachments, which makes it impossible to vacuum along baseboards. I used our old Kenmore to vacuum the car interior, but the BC4026's handle is huge which makes it cumbersome to reach tight car interior spaces. Also, the hose swivel that attaches to the vacuum is not the L-shaped fitting shown on the box, so it does not swivel and keep a low profile like it should. This make maneuvering and storage of the vacuum difficult. They have plastic fittings on the BC4026's telescoping wand that make it difficult to extend. The old design was much better. Our old Kenmore vacuum was smaller and more streamlined with the same vacuum power making it more functional and a better design than the BC4026. Bottom line is that the BC4026 was not designed for its intended purpose of being a household vacuum.Michael
Overall this is a decent canister vacuum but the motorized vacuum head is of an ackward design. In order to vacuum more than a foot under furniture, you have to get down on your knees and move the motorized head in arcs left and right; the joint at which it attaches to the control handle prevents it from moving straight ahead without tilting up so that the agitator and suction end no longer makes contact with the carpet. If you move it to the left, the head may detach due to a poorly designed release lever on the left side; designed to make it easy to remove with your foot but making vacuuming under a bed a long and difficult process to get full coverage. I found myself having to reach repeatedly under the bed to retrieve the disconnected head. I was able to modify that release lever slightly by tightening the screw that attaches it but it is still an arduous task to vacuum under a bed; which was the main reason we bought a canister vacuum! You have to sweep in arcs and make sure you get coverage. This would be difficult for someone who has trouble laying down on their knees, pitching themselves forward and moving the wand back and forth in arcs. On the plus side, the "pet" motorized head is great for vacuuming carpeted stairs; no pet required to make good use of it.Jeffrey

I was reading the reviews on this product and decided to purchase it. I was skeptical if it was putting up everything from the carpet since I didn't feel a suction compared to previous vacuums. However, once I was done vacuuming, all my doubts were gone. I feel like this vacuum picked up more of my cats' hairs than my previous vacuum. Also, I have rabbits and their droppings didn't go flying when I was vacuuming it up. I love the fact that the extension cord is retractable. It was very easy to put the vacuum together. Very glad I bought this.
I had the older model of the POWERCLEAN REWIND (model 1813) which lasted me years. I was excited to "upgrade" to this model, but the older version is better. The suction is the same (outstanding), the body is almost identical. This particular version includes the same great attachments (although the turbo brush is improved). The new version also has a suction performance indicator. Both models have the cord rewind feature, but the previous one retracted much faster. The housing for the cord on this model is seemingly delicate. The cord rewind button needs LOTS of pumps in order to completely suck cord in. The biggest flaw in this newer model is where the power cord is positioned. Instead of being on the left side, it is near the user's right foot. The cord is a trip hazard. I cannot enjoy vacuuming because I have to be constantly aware of the cord. If I do not hold it up with my opposite hand it wraps and crosses around/over the machine and my feet. I do not know why BISSELL has decided to change the positioning of the power cord. It appears all of their vacuums now use this placement for the cord. I really wish I could purchase the older model again because it really was a superior vacuum. I feel like I "downgraded" for a much higher cost, very disappointing.
As a proud owner of two overly shading corgis, I really appreciate a good vacuum cleaner that is designed specifically for pet hair. Tried several pet vacuums before the PowerClean, and wasn't quite satisfied with the result. PowerClean does a great job keeping my house neat and clean. It effectively works on both carpet and hardwood, and different add-on brushes help with cleaning furniture and stairs. Quick sweep is enough to get all that hair off the floor and carpets… Also, I'm extremely happy with a retractable rewind cord system that activates with one click of a button. The vacuum is also easy to use and easy to clean. On a con side, it's a bit heavy and I wish it had a 360 rotation, but quite frankly with a wonderful job it does cleaning my dogs' hair, I could care less about those minor things. Overal, great vacuum. Highly recommend!
