Purchased this Wen sander to sand the ceilings in my home, after removing the popcorn ceilings and applying joint compound. I love this tool. It makes the job of sanding ceilings much easier, much quicker, and with the dustless hose attached to a Shop Vac, about 90 percent of the sheetrock dust is captured by the Shop Vac! The sanding disks are easy to change, and the tool comes with an extension handle. The motor is variable speed and has lots of torque. I am so glad I don't have to spend hours removing sheetrock dust from every nook and cranny in my home after sanding!ropo67
This sander is well built and easy to use, slower speeds seem to work well with 120 grit sandpaper, I haven't tried at the higher speed settings yet. The hose will not directly fit on my shop vac and it comes with an adaptor that doesn't seem like it fits anything, however a 1-1/2" x 2" rubber fernco plumbing fitting from the hardware store works perfectly to get it connected. Works great and almost all the dust goes into the vac instead of into the room, you will want to use a dust bag in the shop vac instead of just the filter though. It has good suction, I like the tool caddy that mounts right on the vac for easy access to the accessories, and good capacity for dust and dirt. I've had this for over two years and used it around the house and for the car. Its a great unit – sucks well and is not too big. I love the storage for the extensions. Canadians be aware: if you want to get the hepa filter cartridge for this, it is almost impossible to find in Canada. Rona / Lowes doesnt sell it – I mean why would they support a product they sell?? I waited a for a year for the 'big online retailer' to get it in stock. In the meantime I called every supplier I could find and nobody had the hepa filter in Canada. Might not be an issue if you dont need any upgrades – but it just shows that Dewalt doesnt provide much support in Canada for this product. My other complaint is that the tool end of the hose is 1-7/8 inch. This is a rarer size – so if you ever want to hook this up to more standard sized dust collection ports (e.g. 2-1/2 inch) you will spend a lot of time or money trying to find an adapter that works correctly. Or you'll be using a bunch of duct tape. I tried many parts from big box stores – I eventually gave up and 3d printed the adapter that I needed. Overall I like the vac – its sturdy, has good power, and works well. I bought it on sale thinking it was a great 'deal'. Yet I've spent more time and money on getting this to work with other things than I should have to. Next time I'm buying a brand that has parts readily available, uses more common standards, and backed by local stores for parts.WoodyBwoi

This is my 3rd Fein vacuum. When my 10-year-old Turbo II stopped working, I called Fein and was told the parts for my vacuum are no longer available. I have several attachments from my previous vacuum, but was told they wouldn't fit on the new models. The Fein representative suggested I buy the attachment package when I buy a new vacuum. So I spent the extra money and guess what? The old attachments work fine on the Fein! (Floor nozzle, brushes, crescent tool). In fact my old floor nozzle is better than the new one). So now I have several attachments I don't need. I really do like Fein vacuums, but it upsets me that they don't carry parts for older models. It also upsets me that they told me I would need new attachments when the old attachments would have worked. The vacuum works just like the old, but I now have to use bags, which I didn't have to use on my old vacuum. Acme Tools had the best price for this vacuum. I've ordered several tools from Acme, and their price is usually the best on the market. And the Fein vacuum is still cheaper than the Festool.carolj

Awesome tool! Love that it's made in Canada too! It's exactly what I was looking for in a pole sander! If you have a good clean filter and vacuum…You'll be hard pressed to find dust! It has a tiny learning curve ( like -5-10 minutes) dealing with inside and outside corners but after that, you'll be doing the Snoopy dance while you do your dustless sanding and they're dirt cheap…It's hard to tell in the photos but the pivot joint is sealed in rubber which is very flexible yet very sturdy!
