Best Vacuum For Engineered Hardwood Floors (2023 Update)

I’ve had this unit for 9 months now and unlike many other reviews, I have had absolutely no problems. I have a 3 level, townhome with hard wood floors and stairs and this vacuum handles it all. The pivoting head gets into all the hard places. I can do 2 entire floors and 2 flights of stairs on a single charge. I’ve had no issues with the vacuum holding it’s charge. Others have claimed that hair is an issue for this vacuum, but I have long hair that seems to shed everywhere and have had no issues. My only criticism is that the dust/debris container is a little small and can open rather quickly when going to empty the container possibly getting some dust not into the trash if you’re not careful. Otherwise, I am very happy with this vacuum. For those complaining it doesn’t vacuum their throw rugs, it isn’t designed to do that and clearly states it, so complaints about that scattered in the negative reviews are due to human/operator error, not the device.UTJenn

Having a family of 5 with 3 little ones (no animals) time is always of the essence to get housework done. Over the course of the past 10 years, we’ve always used swiffer sweepers, swiffer vacs, along with swiffer dusters. I stumbled upon the Dyson Omni glide on Best Buy‘s website, which opened the door to me doing research to see what this little unit is all about. Let me tell you, we absolutely love it! One of the nicest features is that it has amazing suction, the rollers are easy to clean, and if hair gets tangled in it overtime, pop out the rollers and untangle, the battery charges quick, and last a long time. Our house is not huge, approx. 2400 sq. ft. With lots of hardwood flooring and LVP, And the battery last the duration. Over the course of owning swiffers, with buying new pads and the swiffer vacuum battery’s dying, this offsets that cost. This Dyson is not cheap, and I’ve noticed the price went up $50 since I last purchased it (paid $399), but I still feel it’s a good value. So much that we purchased one and for my in-laws, and one for my parents for Christmas (I purchased on Dyson’s website). I will note, purchasing off of Dyson’s website you do receive a free bag & free crevice tool, Best Buy‘s website does not offer that. My little ones love pushing it around and sucking up “mama hairs”. One minor qualm, as I wish the roller head was a little bit bigger. It would cover more space a bit quicker, but not a dealbreaker.Houseofpain1

For context, I've also got two slightly older Dyson vacuums: a DC41 upright from 2014, and a DC44 cordless from 2013. My overall experience with the omni-glide has been really positive, but there's definitely pros and cons. Pros: 1) First, let's talk about the new dual fluffy rollers head, which is the biggest pro by far. Compared to every other vacuum I've used, the new head really does feel like something special, and if your home has hard floors everywhere, I believe it is a better head than everything else which has ever been made by any manufacturer. I'm not exaggerating, it's genuinely a joy to use and picks up everything! The way it's been designed also means it has a lower profile than anything else I've ever used, which means you can clean under more things. The way the head glides actually does live up to the hype – it has little rollers underneath it and a really flexible articulated joint, so it rolls effortlessly across the floor and around things like chair legs, the way I find myself moving it around feels almost like a mop, it's that flexible! 2) The handheld unit is certainly small and light, which is likely a plus for smaller spaces and more slender people! 3) The bin is really easy to empty – the way it scrapes the dust off the grating inside as you slide it open is definitely better than the older cordless bins which you had to tap a lot to get all the dust out of. 4) The handheld attachments are well designed, and the small rotary tool works great for vacuuming the sofa fabric etc. Cons: 1) This is not a vacuum for carpets or rugs. The fluffy roller head just doesn't work well on them (in fact, in my experience the rollers stop spinning and it just doesn't vacuum much at all without them). There's no full size floor head included which would work on carpets – the only option you have is the smaller rotary head which is really designed for upholstery and would be very slow to vacuum a whole room with. So, if your home has carpets, I'd suggest you get the more versatile full size cordless vacuum instead (e.g. the new V15). 2) While the unit is small and light, the bin is also quite small so when vacuuming all of my 1 bedroom flat, I found myself emptying the bin halfway through. Not a huge inconvenience, but again, if you have a slightly larger area or the idea of emptying the bin halfway through a clean sounds super annoying to you, I'd probably recommend going for the V15 instead. 3) There's no way provided to store the attachments (e.g. to mount them on the wall with the charger like the rest of the cordless vacuum range do), and there's no way provided to carry the attachments around with the vacuum while you're cleaning. This is a minor thing, but having to go back through from one end of the house to the other to get the nozzle to vacuum a tight spot halfway through is annoying! I wish they'd provide a detachable attachment clip or something to attach the nozzles to the vacuum unit itself while you're going around – I'd personally find that much nicer than remembering to carry them around in my pocket or something. 4) The battery life is fairly short, especially if you use the "boost" mode at all (you only get a couple of minutes runtime in this mode!). I don't think this is unreasonable, as it's a trade-off between weight vs battery life – I think they made a good choice there, and the battery is easy to remove/replace. However, there's only 1 battery included, and the vast majority of customers probably aren't going to proactively go and spend more money on a second battery. So, unless they choose to include a second battery in the box, I think it's reasonable to review as if you only have one battery. Let's be clear – I have a small 1 bed flat, and in the low power mode I can – just about – vacuum my whole flat with this battery. It's ok, but without a second battery ready to hot-swap in, I'm always slightly worried about it running out at an annoying point, which causes me to treat it more like a tool I need to use short and frequently (like, vacuuming for 5 minutes every day) rather than ever vacuuming the whole home at once. Summary: This is a great vacuum for a small, hard-floor only home, and the new head is remarkably flexible (watch my video review to see what I mean!). If you have a larger home, or home with some carpets/rugs? Don't buy this. Get the more versatile V15 cordless instead. In general, I don't quite understand why this product exists! I mean, I think the new head is amazing and I've literally raved about it to friends, but I think it should just be sold as an attachment / option for the regular V15 cordless, aimed at people who have hard floors. I purchased this vacuum back in May/June of 2021 and have had the last 6 months to really use this thing and put it to the test and honestly- I'm not impressed. I'm already way past the return window, so I just wanted to leave a review for others so people can know my personal experience. It doesn't have the suction to pull the cleaner/water out of any rugs or carpet I own. So, we are left with wet carpet for hours after using this. It also does not clean the floors properly with the brush. It's really just moving dirty water around while only sucking up a small fraction of what I have put down. There are dirty water streaks every time I use this to mop. When using the vacuum dry, the dust and hair clog up the filter within minutes and I have to empty it multiple times while vacuuming, even though the container itself is not nearly full. I have a long haired cat, and I myself have long hair. Neither of these things have agreed with this vacuum. If you have a cat and plan on vacuuming any cat litter with this- don't. It will become a large clay litter clump in the suction tube of the vacuum that you have to get out yourself. It will also leave nasty gray streaks of litter/water on the floor. Additionally, my fallen hair gets so tangled in the spinning brush that I have to cut it off. Honestly, that might not be avoidable or the fault of the vacuum. My hair also gets caught on the sides of the spinning brush and becomes an unmanageable mess that can't be removed. This was probably my worst "big purchase" of 2021. I got the Crosswave Max as a splurge birthday present, but I do not like it at all. It is not convenient. Have to assemble before each use, fill with water and their solution (cannot use just water for brush head reasons), then after use have to run the brush clean function and disassemble and clean all the other parts and let them dry. So you need a dedicated area for all this, just like a full on carpet cleaner. In all that time it takes to assemble and clean up after, I can bend over and pick up or sweep up any of my toddler’s mess AND warm up and use my steam mop. Going back to the brush cleaning cycle, it does not do much to clean the brush. The brush remains dirty, discoloured, and unless you soak it in detergent for at least 30 minutes with a good rinse after (blue dish soap, or laundry soap, or their solution, etc), it will remain dirty and leaves a lot of streaks and milky film on the floor the next use. I have darker floors, so it looked disgusting after the wetness dried. I would have to use my steam mop after using the crosswave and the pad would be very gross after, but atleast the floors would finally look good. It’s also a slow machine to use. You basically wet the floor area going slowly so it’s evenly wet and then have to go over it several times to try to dry it as much as possible. You have to do this section by section. It would take much too long to do only my kitchen, where I could sweep or vacuum and mop it in half the time. This machine is a great idea in theory, but it is not convenient or efficient and left my floors dirtier than before using it. The company states the brushes need to be replaced after ten hours of use (I did not use it nearly that long and the brush heads were awful after a short time) and they are not cheap to replace. Also have to use their solution, again not cheap. For such an expensive device, it requires a lot of additional costs.Melissa O

I've been using this product for a little over a month. My first initial reaction was that this product is just okay. A few weeks later my feelings haven't changed. First thing I noticed was that the battery life isn't great. On regular mode I can get the entire house (minus one carpeted room that's about 120 sqft or so) vacuumed and still have a some battery life left. Our house is about 1500 sqft. What I really dislike is that on the max suction mode the battery lasts about seven to 10 minutes on a full charge. I understand that it is high battery usage but on heavy cleaning and dusting days this is frustrating. After a regular vacuuming session I have to wait another five hours for this thing to fully charge just to use it another few minutes in order to get dusting done which is extremely inconvenient. If Dyson would have made it with the option to work while on the charger / still plugged in it would have made ALL of the difference. I haven't used it on the one room in our house that is carpeted and I honestly don't know if that is even possible with any of the connections. It didn't come with a user manual like all other products electronic products that I have purchased. It did have a sheet that gave you a link to an online user manual but I am more of a paper in my face type of person. I have having to click through links to find what I need. It does come with quite a few connectible pieces. I don't really know what the difference between a few of them are or what they're even called but I haven't had any issues using them so no complaints with those. The item itself is extremely convenient and easy to use. I REALLY wish that it came with maybe a retractable chord to plug in when the batter life isnt sufficient. I think for the price it's not worth it. Overall; three out of five stars, mainly because of the battery life and lack of a proper user's manual.ItsMe

I have been a Dyson owner since early 2005 (I still have that one and it still works). I was using the Dyson V7 Animal until my wife purchased this upgraded one for me. Right away, I could feel and see the difference! With 2 children, a large dog (that never stops shedding), and my wife and I, keeping our house clean is nearly impossible. The Dyson V8 Animal Pro has been amazing and extremely helpful! I only have 3 general complaints about it, which stop me from giving it a 5 Star Review. First, the container becomes full very quickly and having to empty it so often is a little annoying (I know the newer models have addressed that). Second, the stick portion is a little short for taller people like me and I don’t think that adding a second stick would function well not be practical; this causes me to have to lean over while vacuuming, which means my back starts aching. Third, a lack of accessories! There are more attachment tools for my V7 than my newer V8. More directly, there doesn’t seem to be a hard floor attachment option. I have checked their website, but there are no hard floor tools offered for this vacuum (Dyson V8 Animal Pro). I would be particularly interested in the tool that worked on both the carpet and hard floors. Other than that, I really do love this little vacuum.DaBear

This is the second Dyson I have owned. The previous one I purchased at a retailer that offered an extended warranty for purchase. The vacuum stopped working shortly after the Dyson two year warranty. The extended warranty company was great. We sent the vacuum to them and they determined they could not repair it and refunded the entire amount that we paid for the vacuum. The second one we purchased at Costco and they did not offer the extended warranty, but talked us into purchasing because they would take back if we had any problems. Well once again right after the two year Dyson warranty has expired, the vacuum is not working correctly again. Pretty sure Costco won't take back after two years, although I will also complain to them. They are a great vacuum, just a lot of expense for something that lasts only two years. I hope some of the other companies venturing into cordless stick vacuums become successful because I don't want to keep buying a vacuum that does not last.K Wood

This is an extremely lightweight machine. Not just in actual weight, but in the job it does. The motor is not powerful, the spinner is not fast. You do NOT save time using this over mopping. You must go SLOOW, back and forth, several times, over each area on even the lightest of soiled flooring. You must clean as instructed, the spinner, screens, and filter after only a few minutes of use or it will stop working completely. It doesn't do well on tile unless there are nearly flat grout lines. What is it good for? Linoleum, very lightly soiled. Probably to have it charged and ready for a small spill in the kitchen while cooking, then set it aside and know you WILL have to disassemble and clean it before you use it again, even after only a minute or two of use. For $99 it is not worth it. This should be a $39 dollar machine tops.Cutlass275

This thing is terrible. I wanted a shark cross wave but they’re expensive. I looked through the description and the reviews and thought this may be a less expensive alternative. You get what you pay for. We use it 2 X on hardwood floors. We don’t have carpets. The cleaner started spitting out nasty, dirty, smelly water all over the place. It left my house smelling like a septic tank. Yes, we have a puppy that has accidents and we used it to clean up. Aren’t these things designed to clean up messes? We have disassembled it just like the directions instructed. We cleaned every item that was disassembled with soap and water and even a tiny bit of bleach on the roller. We put it back together, turned it on and once again it starting spitting out sewage water. I haven’t touched it since. I was just going to eat the price and use the swifter but the more I thought about it. No, I’m sick of buying things that work maybe once then I end up with expensive junk I’m never going to use. So i bought this yesterday i been eyeing this mop for awhile and read alot of reviews. I was so excited to finally get it as the reveiw were so great. I been useing a reuseable spray mop so wanted to up grade as the mop head gets dirty so quick as a single mom i wanted something more convenient but that is not what i got. I was so disappointed in this mop vacuum. I have real hardwood floor and laminate in my kitchen. This did not clean i had dirty spots on my floor that my mop would have got in 2 seconds. But this thing did not clean and at first im like i must be doing something wrong so i read the book with it like 5 times going yes im doing it right. At first the floor wasnt even getting wet but after holding the button down felt like forever it finally got wet. I had to go over spots so many time for it to even get clean. Went to clean my kitchen and that was even worst i kept going over a spot over and over and nothing. So i got out my spot mop sprayed it with just water and it came up as soon as i went over it. So it wasnt a hard spot to clean but the vacuum did not clean it. only good part of the vacuum is that it sucks up the water nice and leaves your floor pretty much dry. It didnt leave streaks but the worst thing of it is when you turn it on its so powerful that it moves the vacuum forward so hard that your fighting it to go backward to suck up the water. For $200 this is not worth it at all my $30 stray mop does so much better ( but hate that it leaves my floors so wet). Oh also this doesnt not get your floor wet or clean a inch away from the wall or your rugs so couldnt get on the side of floors clean.Amber

I've tested a decent amount of vacuums over the last decade. This is the first one I've tested that was made for hard surfaces and I was excited to get it mostly for my wife who always uses whatever other vacuum on our hard floors almost interchangeably as our carpeted areas. While I normally would sweep hard floors and them vacuum up the pile or let our robot vacuum with mop attachment do all the work for me. Setup was a little overwhelming looking at first but not too bad. The whole thing comes in more pieces than I would normally expect to find but the instructions lay out what everything is pretty nicely and after the initial shock it wasn't too hard to figure it out. I put it all together and let it charge over night (it suggests at least 4-5 hours of charge time before the initial use). I'm pretty happy with the steps required to actually use this vacuum. It's mostly a supplement to our robot vacuum/mop. I'm happy with the robot but we usually go around the are and pick up/move everything off of the floor in the entire upstairs before we run it so it's a process. It does a good job but the setup and reconstruction of the area before running it makes us use it far less than I'd like. So having a vacuum that's made for sweeping and mopping that I can easily setup and break down is key. When you want to use this, just fill up the clean water tank with mostly water and a small cap-full of soap. Then you're ready to go. The first time I hit the power button, I was surprised as it kind of drives itself forward. Pretty nice to lighten the load but you're also fighting against that push when your pull the vacuum back again. Overall it was a nice little assist, I think. The vacuum and mop did a pretty nice job of cleaning the floor pretty quickly but it did require an empty and refill of the tanks before I was finished. That doesn't take too long so it was no big deal. After I was done doing the whole upstairs area, the battery still had about 60% left (I was worried because when I first started it up, it looked like the battery was draining very quickly). The nice thing about having a screen with all the information on it is that you can see at a glance how hard the vacuum is working and what battery level is remaining. After you're done the instructions recommend you clean the dirty and clean water tanks as well as the roller and roller protector after each use. This is the only annoying part since you can't really just grab the vacuum to do a quick job and put it back but the cleanup of these things doesn't take too long. The base station does include an auto-clean feature for the roller so you have that going for you and there were 2 additional rollers included with this vacuum so you can always just rotate them if you need to clean one. Apparently there's an app that goes with this vacuum. The instructions just said that you can "perform all functions from the app" but I don't really know what functions those are. I did not download the app and can't imagine what I would possibly need it for. The functions on the vacuum are very minimal and can be adjusted with just a few pushes of the 3 buttons on the vacuum. I just didn't want another app on my phone. The only weird thing I didn't love about this vacuum was how it sat on the charging station. It leans forward quite a bit for some reason. I would expect it to just sit straight up and down but when the head is locked and you place it on the charger the handle leans forward at what feels like a 30 degree angle. Far more than you'd expect. Enough that I thought I was doing something wrong. I couldn't figure out a better way to place it on the charger though so I'm going to assume it's just how it was designed. I got used to it quickly enough but it was a weird thing when I first saw it. Overall, I like the vacuum. It does a good job supplementing our robot vacuum by being easy to get up and running and being easy to break down and clean when we're done (while not needing to break down the entire upstairs before using it since we can move things while vacuuming). Not anymore… thanks to this Tineco Floor One s5 Extreme i’m actually looking forward to do it now. I will attach some pictures to see what comes in the box and it’s pretty straight forward plug and play kind of situation as well with some before and after situation. Everything is very intuitive to use but you can check the book or type the name of it on youtube and they have an interactive video in how to use it for first time. It comes with 2 extra brushes and an extra filter that will come in handy when you’ll wash and let dry the ones that you’ll be using first(about 24hrs) they recommended doing that after each use and you’ll want to do that and don’t forget to empty the messy water each time so u prevent bad odors. The design and features are very modern … it has a voice and a screen that will assist you in your cleaning process. To be mentioned here is the feature that senses the proportion of a mess when on auto and turns gradually the blue light into a red one, sign that you should insist in that particular area till becomes completely blue and it’s scary accurate!!! The stand acts like a support and charger (which will take somewhere 3-4hrs for it to be fully juiced up). They also recommend using ONLY Tineco cleaning solution or just plain water. Make sure you youse warm-hot water with or without solution since will tackle the dirt better. I’m happy with the product and it really saves me a lot of time and does a great job!!!Denisik91

I totally underestimated this machine. When I turned it on, the brush kicked in and almost dragged me acoss the floor! Not really, but I was surprised by how powerful the brush was for such a compact package. This mop is no joke. I'm a busy and stressed-out professional, so lots of housekeeping chores don't get done on a regular basis. I've been meaning to clean the kitchen floor for quite a while — I had food and coffee spills, tracked mud, etc, on the floor in places, and serious grossness under the oven and fridge. I figured that I'd give this machine a workout. It really worked. It took several passes in some areas, but the machine just kept working at the mess until it was all clean. The dirty tank strains out the solid materials to make it easy to dump without clogging your sink. It also uses less water than I would expect, so I didn't have to dump the tank nearly as often as I thought I would have to. The clean tank and the dirty tank have good capacity. One super thoughtful little detail is that both tanks have flat bottoms, so they can be put upright on the counter, and you don't have to lean them against anything like you do with other wet vacuums. I really like how it is as maneuverable as a light vacuum, it does a great job on hard floors and we can also use it on floor mats that aren't too thick. That brush-forward design really gets right up to edges and corners. It is very user-friendly. The display is large, bright and useful, and the voice prompts are really helpful. Even self-cleaning is super easy. I'm just not sure what benefits you get from the app or its wifi connection.Snarltoof

It also uses less water than I would expect, so I didn't have to dump the tank nearly as often as I thought I would have to. The clean tank and the dirty tank have good capacity. One super thoughtful little detail is that both tanks have flat bottoms, so they can be put upright on the counter, and you don't have to lean them against anything like you do with other wet vacuums. I really like how it is as maneuverable as a light vacuum, it does a great job on hard floors and we can also use it on floor mats that aren't too thick. That brush-forward design really gets right up to edges and corners. It is very user-friendly. The display is large, bright and useful, and the voice prompts are really helpful. Even self-cleaning is super easy. I'm just not sure what benefits you get from the app or its wifi connection.Snarltoof

Worst Vacuum I have ever bought. Seriously a joke. Hard floors it just shoots debris out the back. It takes 3 times longer to do any vacuuming because you are constantly going over areas you just vacuumed trying to get debris back up that it just shot back at you. It does mediocre on carpeted areas. Super lightweight which is nice but the cord is so short I can’t even vacuum one room without having to switch plugs which is super annoying. Great for a toy vacuum but not for any real cleaning.Jessica

I am very, very disappointed with this vacuum. It looks great, lightweight, easy to put together and was shipped fast. And on my tile floors it works quite well. Then tonight I attempted to vacuum my carpet and the vacuum just stuck right to the first spot it rolled on to. It would not BUDGE no matter how hard I pull, pushed, or sweet talked my cute little new vacuum it would not move. Seems that there is no adjustable setting to let you choose what height or bare floor, low, med, high carpet. I am handicapped and no way I can get it to roll and I have short low carpet. Since I had used it on the tile with no issues, I had felt comfortable tossing the box and all the packaging so I can’t even return it. Very, very disappointed by this. The vacuum was supposed to be my Amazon Prime weekend gift to myself, but Walmart impressed me with the cute look and low price, so I stashed my gift card and paid cash. I wasn’t expecting more than a basic vacuum at this price, but I didn’t even get that. It does not have an option to turn off the spinning brush. I could deal with that. There is no on off switch. There is a cheap plastic pedal to turn it on and off instead. I could deal with that. The cord is pretty short. I could deal with that. But it DOES NOT pick up much of anything! That I COULD NOT deal with. In fact, it often spins out the back what it does pick up! Oh and sometimes it pops open in the front while vacuuming and puffs out a cloud of dust and lint! I LOVE DYSON. It’s been a love affair for @15 or so years. I had the V-6 and made an excuse that college child needed so I could get the V-11animal. No one in my house were allowed to use. It WAS my baby – empty nester at the time. I bought it shortly after it first came out so it has the screwed in battery. I needed a cordless vacuum that was able to pick up Belgian Malinois Shepard fur from H _ _ _, easy to use, lighter than a full vacuum BUT WORK AS WELL OR BETTER than a full-size – I have chronic back pain and fibromyalgia and numbness… Yes in my crazy perfect vacuum dream world this existed and it DID! Thanks Dyson! It checked EVERY box of my needs, well except price. It was the most I have ever spent on something for me but dang it I deserved it and NEEDED it. It has been absolutely incredible! I would have told you 2 years ago do whatever you need to and buy bc it has incredible suction, awesome holders for tools with wall mount and on pole, adjustable suction on torque floor tool, adjust able power – Eco for low dirt area, Auto and Boost for deeper and stronger suction. So those are PROS. CONS are you need to press trigger to power it so with my neuropathy in hands at times I cannot vac, need to remove any attachments to empty dirt bin, after @8-12 months the bin empty slide started to stick, and then at 2 years (WARRANTY EXPIRED) and @5 months it started to shut off and then turn on. Called customer support and and they did a video troubleshoot and said it’s the battery. Well no battery in stock. Actually ABSOLUTELY ZERO SPARE PARTS for my baby have been in stock for over a month now! A week or so later it stopped more and then shut down. Called again and told it was the cyclone part (a guy on YouTube had same exact issue but his warranty was still active) BUT NO PART available. He told me to call or go to my nearest Dyson service center. Well the nearest in @1.25hrs. away. I do not have a car – getting divorced so I took my Dyson V11 animal and he got our 25 y/o car worth about the same. He fought for my V11 which was honestly a no win – I don’t know what he was thinking. Lol Plus the service center when I finally reached a person said that maybe it’s the trigger and I could mail it in. I still haven’t decided bc why pay to ship something that there’s no parts for? I rarely ever leave reviews but this thing is great! This is my first Dyson purchase and I have a German Shepard mix who sheds constantly, this V11 handles his hair with ease. I love the flexibility to use it anywhere with the attachments that are included, my personal favorite is the mini motorized tool. The simple design makes it easy to clean and maintenance. This thing picks up dirt that you don’t even see, especially in carpets and area rugs. I am also one who cares about packaging and this thing is packaged perfectly. The only downside, like all electronics is the battery life. 5 to 6 minutes on boost mode is not enough for a vacuum of this cost. I would like to see Dyson sell an additional king power cord that can be used to power the vacuum directly more like a traditional vacuum if needed for those of us with bigger houses with lots of carpeted areas.Jxustin

After reading these reviews I can't help but think that these machines are designed to last for roughly 2.5 years. My machine did the exact same thing that others have written about. I purchased this machine back in January 2020, about a month ago it started cutting off during use. The cutting off started getting more frequently to the point where the machine stays on for about 2 seconds before cutting off which makes it inoperable. So I call the service center to be told that my machine is out of warranty as of January 2022 and a replacement motor will cost $116. It is really unfortunate that a $700 machine is designed to last 2.5 years before you have to put more money into it. The sad part about it is that most people will pay the $116 because you can not get a new decent vac for that price and secondly, you have already invested $700 in this machine. It is very disheartening, and I wish I would have went with a different brand.Trise

The first point we we make is that most of the 'positive' reviews are from customers who have not owned one for very long! Wait a couple of years (i.e. until the 'guarantee' has run out!) then see how you feel about it! Like other customers we have read on here – and other review sites – ours starting playing up just after the 2 year guarantee had expired. And like many other 'negative' reviewers it was the 'trigger' that became temperamental at first and has now ceased working altogether – and the machine won't take a charge now either. We called the Support number to be advised that our only option was a replacement "main body assembly" at £85 – but we then got cut-off somehow, so I called back and went through the entire process again to be told that the part we need is not available in stock! But this time we were given another option – have the machine collected to be serviced and repaired as necessary by Dyson for £79 – plus any parts that would be required including the replacement main body assembly at £85! Utterly shameful! For £600 you expect to get something that will be robust and long-lasting. When Dyson were entirely "Made in Britain" they were excellent – but now they are absolute rubbish. This is the second we have had since they are no longer 'British Made' – the first was appalling and we were only drawn to this second one by the fact that we didn't find anything any better when we first looked around and by 'customer reviews' which we now understand are largely written by people who havn't owned one for long enough! Our 2 and a bit year old Dyson v11 is now consigned to 'landfill' (which in itself rankles and we are extremely disappointed about!) – we will take our time this time around to find something better and will NEVER buy a Dyson again!Chris

I have used the V11 for 6weeks. The suction power is very impressive. The suction is better than my corded Miele vacuum cleaner and it is much quieter and way lighter. It has removed far more dirt than the Miele which is only two years old. The V11 has brought vacuuming into the 21st century. The various attachments are easily attached and removed, the machine is light, steers easily over carpets and hard floors. The ‘boost’ setting has huge suction power, which I rarely need to use, the ‘auto’ and ‘economy’ settings are perfectly adequate for 99% of usage. I have a Labrador which moults continuously and the V11 picks up all the dogs hairs without any problem from both carpets and hard floors. The battery is currently more than adequate, I have not yet run it flat, using it in a 3 bed size house. Emptying the bin is very simple and works easily. The floor brush head keeps itself clean, I,e,there are no hairs wrapped around the roller and after 6 weeks it still looks like new. Dare I say it is a joy to use – even the kids are using it because it is so easy to operate !! I’m not impressed by many things and I’ve had Bosch and Miele vacuum cleaners which were both good but, this V11 out scores them hands down, no contest. I would happily go out selling the Dyson V11 as it is such a a convincing machine, I highly recommend it. ( And no, I am not a dyson employee!! ).Geoff

I am very tall (6ft) and I have a ton of back issues. The handle is a good height I do not have to hunch over, I love the lay flat option to get under the kitchen chairs and TV stand. The swivel on the steering is awesome,I really do love love love this vacuum. I've had it for just over a year, holds a charge very well, the circle light indicator is a great reminder when I put it back in. I use this vacuum on average 4-5 x per week. I pull it out for just about anything ever a quick sweep to catch dust bunnies. I've used this on thick high carpet in a fully carpeted 1bd apartment and now I use it in a 2bd room hardwood home w/ area rugs. I also have a small chihuahua with shot hair. Love this cordless Ram. I’ve had my present one for approximately 3-4 years. Wanted to have a backup. Great to keep upstairs so that you don’t have to drag the heavy vacuum up and down. Or great in a ranch style home. Goes from wood to tile to carpet very well. For thick plush carpeting, you will get an arm workout as it picks up primarily on the pull back. Love that there isn’t any wire to trip over. Charge lasts throughout my vacuuming. Then it re-charges pretty quickly. Definitely recommend!Shoshie

Only had it about a month but love it! A little drag on thicker pile rugs but since I am 75, someone younger may not really notice. So easy to charge and seems to be holding charge well. I lift it up on chair to empty dirt bin so cleaning it is easy. Love the slider to help clean filter. Bought an extra filter so original can dry well but haven't had to use it yet. My daughter has THE STICK that costs almost twice as much as my new Bissell and I really prefer mine. And I don't have to keep pushing on power like with her stick. I was a bit worried with so many negative reviews, but I love this vacuum. It is so light and easy to carry around. It picks up everything as long as you frequently empty the filter. I also take a can of compressed air to blow the filter clean from the inside out. It is well made, and all the parts fit well. I like the floor cleaner for picking up pet hair because it has no rollers where the hair gets tangled. The blue color is beautiful, and the unit leans against the wall without falling over. The cord could be a bit longer, but I have a lot of outlets, so no problem. I am very happy with the purchase. The price was very reasonable.Nancy

My friend recommended this LG CodeZero vacuum when I got pregnant, and oh wow, it's such a life saver. (I used to own a corded vacuum cleaner and while it was high quality, it was always challenging to motivate myself to vacuum as often as I wanted, because it was heavy and such a hassle to run the vacuum cleaner!) You don't need to bend down to plug the vacuum and haul the heavy vacuum cleaner with tangling cords anymore. It's so convenient to go cordless. The turbo mode of this vacuum is super powerful and it sucks up the debris pretty well even from our carpeted area. Works great on our hardwood floor as well. Batteries die quickly if you do turbo mode though, but they stay reasonably long enough when you just do the regular cleaning mode. One thing I'd wish I had considered is the auto-emptying function. It's actually quite burdensome to empty the bin every now and then because all the dust flies around. I wish I had bought the more expensive version that takes care of that. I used this vacuum on wood, carpet, rugs, tile, and linoleum floors. I've used all three settings for each floor type and also used the mop. The high power mode picks up dirt just as good as a plugin vac. If you clean your place weekly you likely will not need to use the highest power each time. Hair doesn't seem to get wound up in spindle brush much to none like some other vac's I've used. The head articulates to be able to get in very tight places. I do wish they included a light on vacuum nozzle. The light on mop nozzle could be wider spread instead concentrating on mostly the center. Battery life on medium setting is not too bad, for average size house. If you stay on high, you will use both batteries for average sized house. The mop really doesn't take too much power at all. You will run out of water before running down the battery. I like that this vac doesn't need to be hanged on wall and can fit the attachments on the stand. The wifi tells you when the batteries are charged and gives you usage as long it's in the same house and wifi. If you happen to use your vac for a different house and not same wifi, then it will not track usage. I think LG should add tracking if you happen to be off wifi. I haven't washed the filters yet. It would be nice to able to replace the HEPA filter rather than replacing the whole top piece of plastic with filter. Supposedly you can wash this filter, though. We'll see. I do think LG should come out with a larger capacity battery option for people with larger houses. The vacuum head might be too small for larger houses. The universal nozzle that comes with the vacuum goes sidewise when sweeping a dense rug like a Persian rug. This vacuum is supposed to be able to use the Hard Floor and Bedding nozzles, but looking on LG's website they seem to be unavailable. The mopping is good for very minor smudges on the floor. It really doesn't scrub. It's something they could improve or innovate on, maybe add ultrasonic mode like toothbrushes. And or, add a steam nozzle. I doubt any other spinning floor mop does any better though. All the other manufactures seem to be relatively the same design. There are couple that include vacuuming while mopping which would save one step. You can only use water for the mop. Water is usually good enough for most stains. You can up the game using oxygenated water like Zerowater. So overall it's a good product and, I would recommend it for average house or spot cleaning. Sure, there could be improvements made, but it's still a good product.Stever69

I bought this stick vacuum about 5 months ago, and it's been a great purchase. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment with both carpet and hardwood floors, and this handles both easily. It allows me to clean up messes quickly and is lightweight so I'm not sweating/exhausted nearly as much as I would be with other bulky corded vacuums. Also, I LOVE that you don't have to hold down a trigger to keep it on (looking at you Dyson). All you do is press a button once, and it turns on so there's no worrying about hand cramps. The instructions for cleaning the vacuum are very easy, and emptying the canister is a breeze. It came with a stand, which makes storage super easy. Overall, a solid stick vacuum for general day-to-day cleaning. A few cons: It doesn't do as great of a job when pulling it back toward you. It tends to just drag/push things around when doing a backward motion, and I then have to realign the vacuum to pick it up when pushing forwards. However, since it's so lightweight and easy to use I honestly don't mind doing a couple of extra passes. I don't think it has as strong of suction compared to larger corded vacuums, but it fits my needs for my apartment. The other con is all the plastic that was used in the packaging. I just moved into a new apartment and have saved up for this Dyson and it was the best decision I have made. My new place is a 2 bed/2 bath apartment with mostly hard floors and carpets in the bedroom. After going to Dyson’s website and taking their quiz. First, I have to suggest going through Dyson’s website to purchase and not through a 3rd party (Amazon, Target, etc). Dyson offers a price match, you are ensured a warranty, if you wish to get additional attachments, you can know you are getting the correct ones. Next, after know about what model and price point I needed, I was able to look at each machine and pick out the best that would work for me, my cleaning routine, and my home. My Dyson came with so many different attachments (included!!!) but the reason I chose this one was it had different heads for one for each type of flooring, carpet or hard floors. I can remove the wand to make the attachments handheld to clean my couch, add it and a soft bristle head to clean the walls and the top corners next to my ceiling. I could go on and on. This isn’t a vacuum… this has replaced so many different tools I used to clean and, above all, my favorite part, as new apartments can come some lingering bugs, I take the head off and can stay far enough away and still catch and dump the creepy-crawlies. It is my new bug killing machine. As I said, I could write a novel about how much I love this Dyson. It was worth every penny.heather.n

I got a V7 in Jan 2019. Initially, and for about 1.5 yrs., I thoroughly enjoyed it. Then my housecleaner told me a charge didn't last more than 10 mins. Because I have another plug-in vacuum, I didn't think much of it at the time. Then I hired another cleaner. She brought her own vacuum so it hasn't been used at all since Jan 2022. Just in the last week, I tried to use it and it only lasted about 30 seconds. I had a very good experience with the website and service person on the phone but I have been advised that a new battery is necessary. If that is correct, I must say that I am disappointed in Dyson. I expected better performance from their machine. For a machine that is 3 1/2 yrs. old and only used perhaps 2 years of that (and not solely because I have another machine), I think the battery should last longer. And, if the cost of the battery is 1/4 of the price of the machine, I think that is even more disappointing. And, it's the cost of the battery + shipping. My carpenter husband has battery powered tools, uses them consistently and has never had to replace a battery. That knowledge doesn't help me. Is it possible that the charging station is defective? At any rate, as much as I loved it in the beginning, I'm pretty unhappy at present. I recommended my vacuum to lots of friends at first but now, I would have to tell them the whole story and what to expect.Bren

My house can be pretty hectic- we have 4 (soon to be 5) young kiddos, 3 puppies, and 4 cats. Cleaning is something that happens all day long, pretty much constantly. One of the biggest pain points is keeping the floors clean because try as we might, if our youngest isn't trying to eat something off the floor, the puppies will. Enter the Bissell Surface Sense Upright Vacuum. This thing has legitimately been life changing. If you have pets, I'm sure you have fought with vacuuming, or sweeping, up their hair. As soon as you get close to it, the hair blows away. Not with this vacuum. I don't know what kind of magical technology they put in this thing but it actually attracts and vacuums up the hair, it doesn't blow it away. Additionally, something both amazing and quite terrifying, the light on the front of the vacuum makes hair and any sort of floor debris stand out like it's a beacon. It makes it super easy to ensure that all the hair and debris is cleaned up because you can't help but notice it with the light. It's terrifying because it shows just how much hair is truly shed, which is way more than you initially imagine. I should note that my floor is probably 75% hardwood, 15% vinyl planks, and 10% carpet. The way this thing changes the height of the brush automatically is phenomenal. I can move from room to room with such ease. I have another pretty high end vacuum ($500) and this one beats it every single time. I can vacuum an area with my other vacuum and then go through with this one and the amount of stuff it picks up is phenomenal. The one and only downside to this vacuum is that it does not flatten/recline back very far so cleaning under tables and chairs can be a challenge. You can use the extension and the attachments to reach these areas, but it would be way more convenient if you could just do it with the vacuum. I received the Bissell Surface Sense Upright Vacuum as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel program. Bissell has always been a favorite brand for floor care but this tops them all! The Bissell Surface Sense Upright vacuum is intuituve, by sensing between hard floors & carpet. Making it a breeze to vacuum all your floors, & even gets the debris along edges well too. Or this function can be switched off to run the brush continuously. It almost drives itself & takes little effort to push around the house even on the thickest of carpets.The handle can be removed to expose the wand for the versatile, convenient, & very useful attachments. My favorite is the uniquely shaped crevice tool that also has a led light that helps you see those hidden places, & get them clean. But I absolutely love the tangle free brush roll. Despite having a long hair dog, 3 adults with hair to their waist, & 5 young kids, I never had to pull hair from the brush, & only had to empty the canister, as I despise cleaning hair. The canister is big enough to vacuum multiple rooms, & is simple to remove to dump without leaving a mess behind. When removed, you can also access 2 different filters, one on top of the canister, on underneath which makes for an ultimate clean. It also has suction control on the handle which makes it convenient to switch to the best settings for different areas. Overall, it is very accessible, & versatile making an upgrade on performance, & design that makes this Bissell Surface Sense Upright Vacuum, the best Bissell yet!Carollucy303

This is a great concept but a failure at both being a wet jet and a vacuum. First, it didn't come with any accessories, it is only meant to clean floors. No attachments for stairs, couches, drapes etc. The only time a light comes on is when the trigger is pulled for the wet jet so you can't see going under furniture, which is difficult anyways because this vacuum doesn't lay flat. The wet jets don't spray evenly so there are constantly lines on the floor. The rollers stay wet so dirt and grime cling to them and when you go onto your rugs the dirt and dust transfer into the rugs. Just gross. For those with cats, litter touches the wet rollers and turn to wet clay and clog the system. The vacuum portion isn't really strong enough to suction litter out of tile grout. Just leaves it there wet. I had cut my hair and tried to vacuum up the little pieces left behind but the vacuum failed. It suctioned up some and then I'd move the vacuum forward and they'd all fall out. Emptying the dirt container is made more difficult because of the wetness. Dirt,dust, hair, fur,litter is now all wet and glued together and didn't empty when tilted over a garbage can. Plus the container itself has so many grooves and pieces for stuff to stuck to. Really,really gross. It's not a wet jet and not a vacuum. Needs workMandee

Great product! I wish I would have bought it sooner! Alot of the negative reviews read simular to complaining that a walk behind/push mower won't effectively mow through 2 ft. high thick grass without stopping or complaining that the dishwash didn't remove/clean the queso from
your crock pot that was left on for 3 hours… com'on!? That being said, you will have to vaccum/sweep up prior to using, especially if you have dogs that shed or alot of debris as it does not function as a HEAVY DUTY vaccum (this isnt a shop vac) nor is it a rug doctor/deep carpet cleaner either. Its very easy to use and makes cleaning bare floors nearly painless! I have 2 large dogs & 3 childern, so I "pre" vacuum before using every time. (Just like scrubbing the caked on queso) only if you have a Rumba type machine and use the Crosswave after it's done most of the debris clean up, you dont even hVe to. It's amazing. The frequently mentioned "clean up" after using is comical, ITS NOT THAT HARD OR MUCH MORE WORK! As you would ring out a mop or rinse the bucket post cleaning… same concept, only on a much smaller, less messy scale. You will have to let the filter dry before using, but you can purchase additional filters for next to nothing online (6 for 12 bucks). Vacuum cleaners have slowly been making the transition from uprights that you drag around the floor (common design for many decades) into hand-held models, both wired and battery powered wireless. There are many similarities between makes and models, but Dyson has decided to up the game with their new “Dyson Outsize” model. The Dyson Outsize is big… VERY big, for a hand-held. The dust and dirt collection bin is 150% larger (or more) than most other models on the market, and the roller/cleaner head is 25% larger as well. As a result, you can in theory, vacuum your whole house without having to stop in-between rooms to empty a small bin, as this one is large enough to handle most homes without stopping. The larger cleaner head also means fewer passes over a floor to cover the same ground compared to smaller units. Two batteries were included with my unit, so in theory you can also do that same house without having to recharge (well… maybe – more later). I wasn’t wanting for accessories. Mine came with the larger cleaner head, a small power head for cleaning furniture, three dust/brush ends that would be good for small furniture or cars, and a thin longer crevice tool, also good for cars or behind cushions, etc. The main extension wand, two batteries, two chargers, and a wall hanging unit completed a very full box. Note, there is NO floor stand included as with some other brands (boo) – just a bracket you can screw into your wall to hang the Dyson from when not in use. I didn’t need to really read the instructions for assembly – literally you just snap the extender into the main dust bin body, and snap whichever end tool you want to that, and once the batteries are charged and you attach one to the handle, you are ready to go. Pulling the trigger starts the unit and a small, round display screen facing you tells you which power level you’re using (auto mode, eco, or boost), as well as gives you a per-minute estimate on how long your battery will last before giving out. Dyson’s claim to fame on their models is that they will maintain full suction power until the battery dies, as opposed to weakening as the battery does, and I found this to be pretty much the case. Eco mode is for light cleaning (I found this best for harder non-carpeted floors) and gives you about 60 minutes of run time per full battery charge. Auto mode will vary the power depending on type of surface and need – more of a medium/normal clean, and gives you roughly 20-40 minutes of run time (I averaged around 30 minutes). Boost mode is a lot more powerful for deep cleaning, but, hold on… at best you’ll get 5-8 (or so) minutes from the battery using this mode. The batteries are pretty hefty in size and weight, and take about 3 ½ hours to charge (each). The Outsize is powerful. It did pull up dirt from my carpet that a lesser model missed, especially in boost mode. The auto mode did a little better than many others, and the eco mode again is just for light cleaning which I found to be best picking up crumbs from the kitchen wood floor (the cleaner head adjusts automatically for floor type). It was reasonably quiet, and the HEPA filter near the top of the bin filtered the air well, though it did create a “breeze” that knocked a few sheets of paper off of nearly tables as I passed. In terms of cleaning power and battery life so long as I kept it on auto or eco, I consider this to be a very good machine. Now… one thing: SIZE. As said earlier, this is a very large hand-held vacuum. By the time I got near the end of my house, my arm could definitely feel that I had been carrying a larger machine around. Not really a huge issue for me, but if you are buying this for someone else such as an older relative, a smaller person, or someone who’s not the strongest person around, they may have issues with the size and/or weight. I have few other complaints about the Dyson Outsize, but one is as mentioned earlier, the lack of an included floor stand, which some other brand models have. Not everyone is able to hang this from their wall (or if in a rental/apartment, you may not wish to screw a wall mount into the wall). A floor stand is, in my opinion, more convenient, so it would have been nice to see one included. Last, the price. Dyson is a premium vacuum brand, and you do pay for that. It does come with a full two year warranty (personally I wish it were more like 5 years at this price point). Only you can decide if it fits into your budget or not, but again, it is a very good machine. So, with the considerations you’ll need to take with size/weight/budget, I do recommend the Dyson Outsize.AtlantaGreg

This review is going to compare it to our older V10 Absolute. 1. Tools included in Outsize Absolute version are: High Torque XL cleaner head – provides better coverage (tool is wider) and also picks up dirt better than 'Direct Drive' on V10 – It adapts to the surface and speeds up or slow downs based on the resistance.. Laser Slim Fluffy™ cleaner head – this is much better than 'Soft roller' on V10. Laser seems like gimmick but actually helps finding missed spots on flat surfaces. Hair screw tool – works better than Mini motorised tool from V10 Combination tool – same as on V10 Quick-release mini soft dusting brush – same as on V10 Crevice tool – same as on V10. 2. Battery life Compared to our Dyson V10 its it has much better battery life – each setting lasts substantially longer than on V10 and with better suction. Battery in Outsize is swappable and second battery is included in the box so you you can swap it any time you run out of juice. Conveniently two chargers are in the box as well so you can have one attached permanently to docking station and you can use second one to charge second battery at the same time. Spare battery and battery life makes it very convenient even for large houses where V10 might not last long enough for full cleaning. 3. Size/weight Outsize is significantly larger (haven't measured) and heavier than V10 (2.4kg vs 1.6kg). Suction is better than on V10 probably at least partially because of that and you don't have to empty it as often but at the price of vacuum being more bulky and less convenient as cordless device. Generally this makes the Outsize much more convenient for large surfaces/floors but less convenient for hard to reach places, stairs etc. My wife still haven't decided if weight/size justifies the improvements but kids always pick V10 over Outsize when cleaning. 4. Other notes Tools are compatible between both versions. Same tool tested on both vacuums works better on Outsize than on V10 which I think can be attributed to better suction on Outsize compared to V10. Docking station is not compatible between V10 and Outsize due to different size of battery. Display on the back is nice addition and gives you graphical overview of remaining charge and after few seconds of continuous use shows estimated time so you have good indication how long battery will last. Button on back of Outsize to select modes is much more convenient than slider selector on V10. Tools are compatible between both versions. Same tool tested on both vacuums works better on Outsize than on V10 which I think can be attributed to better suction on Outsize compared to V10. I just received this Tuesday and so far I like it. I told myself if I didn’t have a life changing moment, I would return it for the price of this thing. I’ve been vacuum shopping for over a year since giving my vacuum away. I have all tile floors and I’m old school, so I can work a broom and mop lol. I figured I’d be okay and would get a really good one later. Well, later finally arrived!! I did some research and read a lot of reviews and decided on this one. I have a steam mop with a light and I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to come across a spot of missed dust in a corner. Off top, I knew the 2 brush heads and attachments would be exactly what I needed to combat the surface dirt and dust. I binged vacuumed my whole 3 bedroom apartment yesterday testing this thing out… I vacuumed appliances, vents, ceiling fans, area rugs, windows, base boards, furniture, etc. I did have to charge the chargers twice because I used them down to 0% using all three modes (depending on the area), but did not charge fully as I was not waiting the 3.5 hours. My second charges started with about 75% each charge. With that being said, I’m sure I can finish all my floors in one session. I typically vacuum main areas all together and then rooms separately. This was an abnormal cleaning session and I was just all over the place geeked. This thing is hands down an efficient tool. Definitely 5 stars for efficiency. There are so many tools for every job, and this really picks up the dust. I’m not sure how it does it because it handles so smoothly and is not very loud. The suction does not death grip the surfaces but is able to smoothly glide along and hit the particles just right to clean them up. It picks up bigger particles as well and it picked up a small clusters of dog hair from our Yorkie. She does not shed a lot but sometimes her hair will gather in a corner. Just for comparison for other dog owners. It does not kick particles back out over the floor at all. It’s a one pass for all tools as well, not just the brush rolls. Going over the base boards was really easy whereas before I was cleaning them with cleaner solution and a rag. My only gripe is that the Outsize is HEAVY!!! It really is. It’s easy to push over the floor and carpet but actually lifting the thing up to dust ceiling fans was treacherous. I am going to get a stepping stool to see if that helps not having to reach as high. I will continue to brain storm how to use the reach tools to shorten the actual reach of my arm. I think that will be the ultimate solution is finding new ways to reach the crevices as comfortably as possible. Storage and space wise, this thing is awesome. I just mounted my wall bracket and will be picking up the stand today. I will like using the stand in each room while I’m vacuuming instead of trying to set the thing down or lean it somewhere safe. So, I would recommend buying the stand. Overall, I would say get it! The price is steep but I’ve never had a vacuum cleaner that cuts my cleaning time by more than half so I feel that it’s worth the investment. This is my first stick vac ever and it’s exactly what I wanted, but I have nothing to compare it to. I just know the reviews I read are pretty spot on. This is an extremely lightweight machine. Not just in actual weight, but in the job it does. The motor is not powerful, the spinner is not fast. You do NOT save time using this over mopping. You must go SLOOW, back and forth, several times, over each area on even the lightest of soiled flooring. You must clean as instructed, the spinner, screens, and filter after only a few minutes of use or it will stop working completely. It doesn't do well on tile unless there are nearly flat grout lines. What is it good for? Linoleum, very lightly soiled. Probably to have it charged and ready for a small spill in the kitchen while cooking, then set it aside and know you WILL have to disassemble and clean it before you use it again, even after only a minute or two of use. For $99 it is not worth it. This should be a $39 dollar machine tops.Cutlass275

This thing is terrible. I wanted a shark cross wave but they’re expensive. I looked through the description and the reviews and thought this may be a less expensive alternative. You get what you pay for. We use it 2 X on hardwood floors. We don’t have carpets. The cleaner started spitting out nasty, dirty, smelly water all over the place. It left my house smelling like a septic tank. Yes, we have a puppy that has accidents and we used it to clean up. Aren’t these things designed to clean up messes? We have disassembled it just like the directions instructed. We cleaned every item that was disassembled with soap and water and even a tiny bit of bleach on the roller. We put it back together, turned it on and once again it starting spitting out sewage water. I haven’t touched it since. I was just going to eat the price and use the swifter but the more I thought about it. No, I’m sick of buying things that work maybe once then I end up with expensive junk I’m never going to use. So i bought this yesterday i been eyeing this mop for awhile and read alot of reviews. I was so excited to finally get it as the reveiw were so great. I been useing a reuseable spray mop so wanted to up grade as the mop head gets dirty so quick as a single mom i wanted something more convenient but that is not what i got. I was so disappointed in this mop vacuum. I have real hardwood floor and laminate in my kitchen. This did not clean i had dirty spots on my floor that my mop would have got in 2 seconds. But this thing did not clean and at first im like i must be doing something wrong so i read the book with it like 5 times going yes im doing it right. At first the floor wasnt even getting wet but after holding the button down felt like forever it finally got wet. I had to go over spots so many time for it to even get clean. Went to clean my kitchen and that was even worst i kept going over a spot over and over and nothing. So i got out my spot mop sprayed it with just water and it came up as soon as i went over it. So it wasnt a hard spot to clean but the vacuum did not clean it. only good part of the vacuum is that it sucks up the water nice and leaves your floor pretty much dry. It didnt leave streaks but the worst thing of it is when you turn it on its so powerful that it moves the vacuum forward so hard that your fighting it to go backward to suck up the water. For $200 this is not worth it at all my $30 stray mop does so much better ( but hate that it leaves my floors so wet). Oh also this doesnt not get your floor wet or clean a inch away from the wall or your rugs so couldnt get on the side of floors clean.Amber

This isn’t the magic cordless stick vacuum i thought it would be. While it’s nice to have a cordless vacuum, it doesn’t work any better than an actual broom and dust pan. The suction is terrible. I used it to clean up kitty litter and it just throws it around and I have to go over it multiple times before it picks it all up. Honestly it sucks and not in a good way. I’m glad that i didn’t pay full price for it. I would not recommend this product to anyone.ashley

Looks nice and cleans well. It even looks to be built well. Has a nice battery indicator too. Which leads me to this vacuums big downfall. The battery lasts maybe 30 minutes on the efficacy setting. and maybe 15 minutes on the high setting. When the battery is dead, it takes three hours to charge. If the vacuum came with two batteries, that would be great. Even 60 minutes of runtime and cleaning a large house is pushing it. I went looking online for a second battery and it looks like it will set us back $80 We paid $148 for the vacuum, so realistically we are looking at a $230 vacuum. Better off buying two of these vacuums and utilizing the two batteries and you would have a spare filters and parts. I can't recommend this vacuum. I am assuming all these battery operated vacuums are about the same battery life. So I think it would be fair to subtract a star for battery life, subtract another star for charge time and one more star for price or replacement battery. Shame on you Tineco!Hoganator

I bought this vacuum when it was on sale for Black Friday. We have four pets who all shed a lot so I knew we’d be putting this vacuum to the test. It works great on our hardwood floors and tile, and I love the light feature on it. The auto-trigger and light weight of the vacuum are pluses too. I have a few issues with it though. It works terrible on carpet and rugs. It barely runs over a super thin rug let alone a push area rug. I bought it over a crosswave thinking it was worth the investment because if we move into a house with all carpet it would work great. It does not. My other issue is the battery life. I knew when getting a cordless vacuum we wouldn’t get a long battery time especially with 4 pets, but I was still disappointed with the battery life. We only have a 1200 sqft house and we’re lucky to get through a single charge. It takes around 3 hours to charge so it’s not a quick waiting process if the battery does die. I’m sure it’d last a little longer if you don’t have pets or less than we do, but I’d be wary if you have a larger home or have pets/kids. It’s also not very easy to clean the inside and we usually have to pull out debris/hair it collected because it doesn’t all come out on its own. I definitely don’t think it’s worth the original price and I’m still having a hard time justifying spending $150 on a vacuum that doesn’t work on carpet.K
