Best Vacuum For Hair On Carpet (2023 Update)

With our dog and our new baby all over the floor, we were getting much more worried about fur everywhere. I have a very good vacuum and hand vac already, but the vacuum is heavy and cumbersome and my back is not built for vacuuming the floor with a hand vac. This vacuum was a perfect addition to our home because it is light weight and portable, like the love child of the two vacuums we already had. It is also quiet, so I can vacuum the baby's arena everyday while she naps without waking her up. I feel silly since this in addition to so many other vacuums, but I didn't have the energy to pull out the big one on a daily basis, especially trying to get under furniture and plugging it into different outlets to reach the whole house. My Bissell is not as powerful, but I use it daily so the fur doesn't accumulate and it is better for our lifestyle. And since it has the hand vac attachment, I could have bought just this one instead of my previous two. Oops! Highly recommend, would buy again in a heartbeat. I greeted the Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum with curious skepticism. Having used several vacuums in the past I knew the benefits and drawbacks of corded and cordless vacuums. I tried a Eureka cordless vacuum in the past and the battery took over 12 hours to charge for just 15-20 minutes of vacuuming power, with the suction power being extremely light. I also had a cordless vacuum by Puweike which constantly fell down because I didn't mount the stand against the wall as I had mostly dry wall in my place. I prefer cordless vacuums because even though the corded vacuums owned by Hoover and Oreck offer more power, they are a pain to move from room to room due to having to constantly disconnect and reconnect the cord. The Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum addressed all of these concerns and offered some unexpected surprises. This vacuum took less than one minute to assemble with only two parts to put together. I only had to charge the battery for four hours until it was ready to use. Upon charging it, I noticed the vacuum stands upright, so there is no need to add any mounted stand to the wall as it can be stored anywhere. I also love that I could turn on the brush roll on carpet and off on the hardwood to prevent scratching. The suction is extremely powerful to pick up even the smallest crumbs and I couldn't believe how easy it is to maneuver with the handle folding to get under the sofa. There is a huge bonus to this vacuum as well with the detachable middle which becomes a handheld vacuum for sofas and chairs. Another bonus is the brush and crevice tool for corners and upholstery. The dirt bin is so easy to empty and put back in the vacuum as well. I would recommend the Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum to all my friends and family. This lightweight cordless vacuum is exactly what I needed. I have a good sized 1 bedroom apartment that I share with a cat. A few rooms have area rugs and the rest is all vinyl flooring. I am constantly fighting a battle against cat hair, litter particles, and dust. And losing, until now. This is a dream on my vinyl floors and low pile rugs. I have a large thick pile rug in the living room that this does not work so well on. The suction makes it hard to use when going against the grain of the rug so I use it everywhere else and get the old vac out for that one spot. It’s what I intended to do anyway so I didn’t take off a star. I think it’s swivel makes maneuverability fantastic. The battery works great, assembly was quick and super easy, it’s small and sits upright in a corner charging. It came with three handy attachments for with using the hand vac. After a short time of use, I was left slightly unimpressed by this vacuum. I own a similar vacuum by a different manufacturer and there are many features it has, that I wish this Samsung Jet vacuum had, such as a telescoping wand, a spare battery, a stand-alone charging stand, and a bottom emptying dust canister. What I loved the most about this vacuum was how extremely lightweight it is, the suction power, and the low profile vacuum head. I was very disappointed with the battery life of this vacuum, and I also found the pet hair tool (mini motorized tool) to be a mostly useless, battery draining tool. The low profile vacuum head and its powerful suction makes for an excellent vacuum on non-carpeted floors and it picks up pet hair really well. Unfortunately, the tiny wheels on the vacuum head made it difficult to vacuum carpet, which is disappointing for my household since it's a mixture of hardwood and carpet. (It just didn’t glide smoothly across carpet, especially at the higher suction settings.) Additionally, while the low profile vacuum head allows for vacuuming of tight spaces, it really limits the debris size that can be vacuumed up. There are three power levels to vacuum at, low, mid, and max. The mid level does ok but I definitely preferred running the vacuum on the max setting. Unfortunately running at the max significantly reduced the runtime of the vacuum to about 7 minutes, and with only one battery included, this means you're out of luck until it recharges. I did like using the vacuum to reach high spots around the house that tend to collect dust and cobwebs. The light weight of the vacuum and the extension crevice tool made it easy to get to those hard to reach areas without having to pull out a step stool. This is where the lightness of the vacuum really shined, as I was able to go around the entire house vacuuming corners and vents without my arm ever getting tired from holding the vacuum up in the air. Overall, after several days of use, I feel that the performance of this vacuum is just ok / average, especially compared to others on the market. There is definitely room for improvement. The Samsung Jet 60 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum is really lightweight and easy to use with only one hand. It comes with lots of accessories making it very versatile. All of the attachments have a button-click system making it very easy to attach or unattach the different accessories on the fly, so there’s no delay in your cleaning. The vacuum has adjustable suction power and decent suction even on lowest setting, but has even more power when you need it. This vacuum is absolutely great for cleaning those hard to reach places both high and low such as corners, under furniture, air vents, ceiling fans, and window blinds. The Jet 60 is convenient for vacuuming your car. For me, the greatest application for the Jet 60 is vacuuming the stairs. Not having to drag a full sized vacuum up and down the stairs is very nice. The product package states that the battery lasts up to 40 minutes. But when I use it on lowest power setting, I get about 24 minutes before the battery gives out. On full suction power, I only get around 6 minutes of charge. The battery charges quite slowly. After a small job of just a few minutes it takes around half an hour to recharge fully and after a job that depletes the battery completely it takes several hours to recharge fully. This means that it’s really not useful for a whole house cleaning, for that you probably need a corded vacuum. But if you had a small apartment or dorm room it might work fine. Otherwise, it’s mainly useful for spot cleaning and small cleanup jobs like vacuuming the stairs or your car. The dust collection bin is a reasonable size given the battery life, you are likely to run down the battery before the bin is full. The bin consists of 3 parts, one of which is a HEPA filter, and is easy to detach, empty, and clean by rinsing with water. There is a jet of air that comes out of both sides of the vacuum. I mention it because I have experienced these jets blowing dust up into the air while cleaning in especially dusty areas or when vacuuming near loose papers, like on a desk, the papers can get blown around. Overall, the Samsun Jet 60 works quite well, but my biggest complaint is the lack of battery life. I’ve owned other cordless vacuums and getting around 24 minutes of charge time is actually pretty good in comparison.Mkru

Samsung really knocked it out of the park with this little guy. Between my wife and I, we actually enjoy vacuuming. We've even had competitions to see who can clean the most before the battery runs down! It's substantially more than I expected for the size of the battery, you can get a few rooms lightly soiled carpeted rooms in! Not just using it at the lowest speed either! (I'm not sure where Samsung gets the "up to 40mins" number, but I think you'd have to be not using any powered attachments, and at the lowest setting to get close to that, caveat aside, it lasts enough for a quick clean on an average house floor or more!) I also was not expecting it would actually pick up much more than an older hand vacuum that happens to have a long wand/sweeper attachment. It actually functions as a "main" vacuum if you're a frequent cleaner, as it handles deeper messes in a carpet that I was not expecting it to even come close to pulling up all the way. (dog and people hair plus some tracked in dirt/sand that was stepped in, took a few passes, but still managed) It's also not excessively loud, my infant daughter is most intrigued by it and watches us intently, whereas she was frightened/we had to put some hearing protecting on her if we wanted to use our "big" corded vacuum. The ONLY downside I have to this vacuum is the charging/mounting unit, which is why I gave it 4/5 instead of 5/5. Some folks do not want to mount a vacuum and just want it hidden in a closet until use, with a battery charger in the corner maybe out of the way. (The charger mount is a neat idea IF you plan on mounting, since you can charge the battery by itself or leave it in the vacuum and charge through the vacuum without removing the battery)GlennT

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review from #bzzagent. The Bissell Poweredge vacuum was easy to put together out of the box. The suction power is good and I like the accessories it comes with. I was really disappointed that this vacuum does not have an LED light! For over $200.00 you would assume it would. That feature alone would not make me want to purchase this. Also I don't like the fact you have to mount the vacuum to the wall to store it. It should have the option to fold in half. This Bissell PowerEdge Cordless Vacuum is amazingly very satisfying to use! It has never fail me every time I use it. It cleans up really good, has a great suction and it also gets the edges well. It's lightweight and super easy to maneuver. We have two dogs that sheds a lot and small kids so we have an endless clutter. I had put off purchasing a cordless vacuum after using a couple big name / expensive cordless vacuums. But I read the reviews and decided to order this one. I wasn't completely sold until I used it and I was pleasantly surprised by the power, the size of the dust cup, attachments, how quiet it is, movability of the swivel head and the overall great job it did!!! I bought this vacuum in 2018 when my 1st little one arrived. It was great at picking up the crumbs. We used this daily for 2-5 minute intervals around the dinner table. After about 1.5 years the batter on it died. It's not replaceable either which means the unit is junk. I contacted B&D to do a warranty claim and they sent me a "new" replacement. Well guess what's happened again after about 1.5 years of the same use… Battery is dead AGAIN! I tried contacting B&D again and was asked multiple questions about the unit lastly being the inscribed manufactured date on the bottom of the unit. It was from 2018, meaning 1.5 years ago when the 1st vacuum died, they gave me an old, and probably refurbished unit. This date meant that I could no longer receive any type of warranty work, even though when I received the vacuum it sure wasn't in 2018… I will not be purchasing a replacement at this point and will go out of my way to no recommend this product to other.JoeBazooka

I give it 5 out of 5 over all for suction power and the ability to clean out the whole canister in the garbage with just the push of a button. You can actually clean the whole canister and filter with with soap and water let it air dry. The filter is reusable and cleans out very well. It’s unbelievable what things this vacuum actually picks up. I love LED head light lamps on the front of the vacuum you can really see the dirt and hair when the lights are on and off! The real bonus about this vacuum is the cordless feature no cords to worry about. Turn it on and go! The only negative thing that really disappoints me is the battery power only last 5 to 10 mins if your lucky this is super frustrating. I actually end up buying a new Black Decker battery for $77 off of Amazon.ca. This battery last anywhere from 20 to 30 mins longer the vacuum runs like a dream now. I got this model of Bed, Bath and Beyond website. I loved this vacuum. It was my birthday present and my husband and I drove down to the States to get one that was on sales there. It was easy for me to carry around and the hose helped me get into smaller place. So much better than your typical dust buster. Within a few years the battery became very weak and I only have about 20 seconds of power now. I called around and there is no battery replacement for it. I have always wanted to own a cordless vacuum and now this Black and Decker Power Series Extreme cordless stick vacuum is making my life so easy. I like the fact that it’s lightweight and easy to handle. I can easily carry it around my house with least effort. Being cordless I no more have to struggle with wires. The dustbin is removable and can easily be emptied. The handle can be detached from the brush of you just need to use the stick to clean the corners or crevices. The anti tangle brush bar is something I am happy about. The vacuum is powerful and sucks dust and dirt very well. Great for both hardwood floors and also carpet. The LED light is the best feature especially when the places are poorly lit the LED light helps in cleaning up the spots and makes my house more clean. The battery holds good for about one hour. And I own several black and decker lawn tools so I mix and match my batteries and that’s really a plus point. Definitely is much less noisy compared to other vacuums. The accessories given with this vacuum are very good and love the fact that I can hang it in my tools closet after using it. This cordless stick vacuum is great for cleaning stairs. I've had a lot of bad luck with cordless vacuums in my life. They generally lack enough power to accomplish anything you'd want them to. The POWERSERIES Extreme Cordless Stick Vacuum, however, has not left me feeling disappointed! I have a mixture of hard floor, low pile carpet, and medium pile carpet throughout my house. The high pile carpet does not benefit much from this cordless vacuum, but for spot cleaning the short pile carpet, this thing can do the trick if I put it on "MAX" speed (although it's a bit loud at that level). But where this thing really shines for me is on hard floor. Even on the lowest speed, it hasn't had any problems picking debris up off my hard flooring. The biggest highlight was when I discovered that it fits beneath my couch!! The couch only has a 3-inch clearance, so it becomes a black hole that gathers all kinds of junk: leaves, dust, dog hair, dropped food, etc… To clean under there, I've always had to lift up the couch and move it out of the way. But this cordless vacuum allows me to clean underneath it completely, without moving the couch at all!! Talk about a win! It also has some handy features, which I'll list off below. For a long time I was considering returning this vacuum. The only reason I haven't is because it works well enough and I don't have the time to go vacuum hunting. It's an okay vacuum but it is literally just okay. The suction is good but after a little while the vacuum becomes hard to push. It does pick up a lot of dirt, dust and hair though. The hose suction is terrible and practically nonexistent. I used the hose to vacuum up a spider which, with my old vacuum, would have killed it. But this vacuum didn't kill it and it somehow escaped (I got it the next day with a shoe but really, it's that easy for them to escape??). Also the attachments will not stay on the vacuum AT ALL so I have to keep them in a bag. The cord is long, but too long. Even if you leave it wound, it often falls off the hooks while vacuuming and gets in the way.JustAGirlFromSomeplace

This vacuum was purchased by my household less about 10 months ago and it's already broken. I have used it almost daily, so it's gotten a lot of use. Worked great at first, but had to replace belts at least once a month because they kept breaking. I was using the vacuum at the correct setting for carpet height, however it kept switching to bare floor mode by itself. I wasn't sure how that was happening. Also, the top part of the handle cracked in half, which I believe is due to design flaw. When you are pushing the vacuum, this seemed to be the point that would bear the most weight and it's the thinnest part of the handle. It's good if you are in need of a vacuum on a budget, but don't expect it to last long.kristywink

Seriously, this thing is epic. Still mostly plastic on the exteripr, but, unlike cheaper vacuums, this has a but of quality and detail to it. The quality of plastics is higher, the quality of molds and designing are better too. This thing is no louder than any other vacuum I have ever owned, with the brush ruler off. But, turn that on (it can be disengaged on the fly with a foot pedal fit quick switching between carpet and hardwood floors – nice), and it is rather loud. You definitely know those brushes are spinning. I am fine with that, but some may be snowflakes about noise (or have sleeping babies – I understand not wanting THIS vacuum if you have a baby and relish a little nap time). If you aren't whisper-thirsty… THIS Vacuum will suck the ghosts out of a haunted carpet. I literally only have two rooms with carpet and a hallway, yet this sucker nearly filled its canister on the FIRST use! Seriously, I pulled up enough dirt, dust, sand dander, and dog fur that I ended up with about two pounds of filth to dump once I was done (and I only vacuumed the master bedroom and hall!!!). If you can get this vacuum for……. under $150, grab it! Easy to assemble, easy to use, very sturdy, very VERY well made for the price I bought mine at, and DOES A DAMN GOOD JOB. Okay so I read the reviews and got nervous, but I’m here to be honest with you. A lot of the buyers expected this to be a Dyson and if you’re expecting that then no this isn’t for you. I got this vacuum because ours broke 3 days before Christmas and I wanted something cheap to hold us over in between paychecks as we are having people over. We have a house with all hardwood and linoleum floors, a messy two year old, a big hairy dog, and a hard working man who constantly forgets to take his boots off at the door. Could this be our main vacuum? Heck no! It cleans small visible messes and wasn’t very great for dog hair or fabric surfaces but it was good for the kitchen crumbs and chunks of dirt from his boots. I like this stick vacuum, it's definitely bare bones, but it does a better than good job picking up dirt and dust. I only use it on hardwood floors, so cannot speak to the job it would do on carpet or rugs. I take 2 stars off because the connection of the canister that collects the dirt/dust does not properly seat into the motor section, so at times will spontaneously disconnect. There's a button that should pop out and secure it, but mine only pops out halfway. Also, the stick connection is tight and difficult to maneuver, so I usually just leave it in, making it awkward to disengage and empty the canister. Same with the floor attachment. If it were even slightly better made, I would recommend it more highly, of course it is inexpensive, so I guess you get what you pay for.BB&B Customer

I love this stick vac. It's light, quiet and really does a good job. This is truly a great value. It's a great machine for an amazing price. The wall mount was easy, and the attachments are easy on/easy off. This makes vacuuming the stairs SO MUCH EASIER. Highly recommend. The head of the vacuum is a little loose (ie going in a straight line is hard, because it will turn on its own), but it's nothing that would prevent me from recommending or using this vacuum. Normally when I try out one of these light-weight battery-powered vacuums, the primary issue is power. I am happy to report that the HomeVac S11 Lite is perhaps the most powerful of these vacuums I've tried. It's even proved pretty effective at pulling stuff out of my carpet. There's a button on the top that lets you switch the suction to overdrive, and I didn't even realize it was there for days because the normal power was enough for everyday situations. The engineering of this thing is delightfully elegant. The handle is like a pistol grip, very easy to control, and by rotating the handle I can maneuver the vacuum head easily around chair and table legs. It comes with three nozzles that are simple to pop on and off, emptying the dust tray is a breeze, overall am I impressed by just how well the whole thing comes together. This vacuum is great! There are so many little things that they didn’t have to do but make it that much better. There is a small light on the vacuum which helps to see everything on the floor! There is a strip of rubber on the front that helps to not bang up your floor boards. The vacuum comes with a couple different pieces so you can use it for multiple things. It is very easy to mount on the wall and to clean something up very quick! I love how portable and adjustable it is with different pieces. Con: The only con I have is that you cannot see the battery life on the battery unless you turn the vacuum on. (This is being a little picky)Alana

I have had this vacuum for 2 months now. Pros: It can get under the couch easily. It has a long chord. Hair does not get stuck inside the vacuum (kinda). Cons: It doesn't stand up on it's own. You have to lean it up on something but it can easily roll and fall or you can just lay it down on the floor which sucks. Hair does not get stuck in the vacuum, but it does get stuck around the little small wheels preventing it from rolling easily. It is very, very hard, (actually impossible) to clean the hairs our from around the wheels. Other vacuums I have owned will grab debris on from all sides of the vacuum and just suck the dust towards the vacuum. This vacuum does not collect any dust nearby the vacuum, it only collects dust that you roll directly over. The dust goes up into the canister, but before it even reaches the "full" line, you have to clean it out because the dust gets stuck before reaching the canister. It makes a weird sound, gets hot like it is over heating even before the canister is full. If you want to use the handheld part you have to unwrap the chord which is a design flaw. The attachments are a joke. I bought this specifically to be able to vacuum pet hair off my couch. The pet hair attachment is useless. I get more hair off just using a lint roller. The brush attachment is useless as well as it i so poorly designed. It does not dust and suck the dust simultaneously like other vacuums. You are better off just dusting with a cloth.Jes

Female age 21. I got this vacuum about a year ago and while the suction power was really good, I noticed right away how loud it was. Not a normal "on the loud side" but super super loud and shrill vaccum. It would also get very hot after only a minute of vacuuming. I kept using it because I had no other options, but then after about 3 months, it broke altogether. The vacuum will now turn on, but it gives a weird noise and won't vacuum anything up. Very relieved that I got the squaretrade warranty for it, but am still nervous since I'm not positive they will reimburse me. I would definitely recommend staying away from this vacuum. There were so many positive reviews and only a few negative ones, but it turns out my product experience was the latter.Elise

Our old Shark vacuum did so well that when it needed to be replaced, we were convinced to strictly go with another Shark. This vacuum does a GREAT job, but it is VERY loud compared to our old one (which drives our dogs nuts), and the canister is very small. We have 4 dogs and a baby, so I vacuum every day, but if you have a lot of carpet, or don’t vacuum often, you will have to empty the canister multiple times before you’re done. Contrary to the reviews saying it can’t stand upright- yes it can… If you don’t read the instructions, then a simple google/YouTube search will show you how to do it (you have to remove the top part, and there is a hook that you attach it to on the bottom, and then it stands upright). No, it’s not as convenient as being able to just hang it, or have it stand upright without modification; but it only takes a couple seconds. It can get stowed away even easier in a coat closet this way too. All attachments work great, and it’s SO simple to use the handheld, or very quickly switch from the normal carpet attachment to needing just the “hose” part for hard to each spots, or if you spot a cobweb on the ceiling. The normal carpet attachment also does phenomenal at turning, and goes around the circle part of the bottom of our daughter’s jumparoo very well. It’s different from our old Shark, sure; but no regrets here!RAS062020

I purchased this to sweep the laminate floors in my apartment. It was fine the first few months, but the quality dropped off sharply before I had owned it for a year. The roller would randomly lose power, even after I cleaned it and the roller. When I needed to buy replacement parts I was shocked at how expensive they were compared to other vacuums I have owned in the past. The lack of accessories was also disheartening. It works well as a dust-buster style handheld but is terrible as a floor sweeper. I only use it on my stairs now. I will use it until it finally dies, but do not feel confident purchasing another Dirt Devil product.Steven

My condo overlooks the Gulf in southwest Florida. I thought I'd be smart and put in no-see-'em screens on my lanai. Well the screens work great for the bugs = none. But the finer pitch of the screen also acts as a silt collector for the air flow. Then when it rains and blows, my sand colored lanai tiles and GROUT have dark silt remaining when dry. Previous method was to get the electric sweeper, attach long wand and brush head (not a brush roll) and suck up the silt. It didn't do well on the grout lines. Alternative was to use the steamer more frequently = pain. I wanted to simplify the cleaning. I looked at a lot of stick vacs but the DD22510 was the only one that had a powered brush roll, and high suction, ANNNNNDDDD let me take the unit as a hand held vac down 5 floors to my car thus avoiding dragging my huge sweeper along. Got the unit yesterday and tried it out on the silt I left accumulate for testing. Tried it today 7/15/19 and it works just outstandingly well. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the support bracket is ill designed. When I put my powered carpet nozzle on and then attached the support bracket, and then moved the nozzle against the baseboard….the sticky tape surface on the back of the bracket is NOT parallel to the wall. I measured the angle and it's about 15 degrees off. Plus the well where the sweeper handle sets on the bracket is too shallow and the sweeper pops out too easily. Engineering needs to rethink. Otherwise I would readily recommend purchasing.Bally

I loved this vacuum. I used it all the time. It was perfect for my apartment. I used it to vacuum the vinyl flooring before mopping the floor. The problem is that the swivel on the sweeper head broke and there is no replacement parts. I was able to fix it using gorilla glue but that only lasted about 3 months. Now I have a dirt devil that is basically a handheld sweeper (aka dust buster type).Tonya H.

I LOVE my Hoover Total Home Pet bagless vacuum cleaner! I vacuum my house at least daily due to having one big dog and 2 cats that all seem to shed. I usually end up purchasing a new vacuum every year. I have owed so many vacuums over the years and I have never bought the same one twice. I think I have found my forever brand and model with the Hoover Total Home Pet bagless vacuum! I love how powerful this vacuum is! After one vacuum, I was amazed at how much hair was in the canister! I love that the vacuum is lightweight since I have to carry it to three different floors in my home. I like the different settings for both the carpet and the hardwood as my home has both types of flooring. The suction on this vacuum is so powerful, you will be amazed! The tools that came with this vacuum are awesome! The quick release cleaning wand is perfect to clean those high areas and the dusting brush is extremely helpful with cleaning the blinds, curtains and ceiling fans. My favorite attachment tool though is the pet turbo tool! This tool is so easy to use and gets all the hair off my couches and steps! Thank you Hoover for making such a powerful vacuum cleaner! The overall feel of this vacuum cleaner would best be described as cheap. The plastic used for the housing is flimsy and the handle itself feels unsecure. The dirt collection canister is difficult to release due to the manufacture glue holding the flap in place. The brush attachment stopped working within 10 minutes of use and when it does run the attachment provides poor cleaning power. Overall I am not satisfied with the vacuum and I have begun my return of the item. I purchased this and a Hoover carpet cleaner and I am just as displeased with the cleaner.Bill

I've had this vacuum for a b little over a year as a spare for upstairs. I don't use it that often and it had worked fine for what I needed. Then it shut off the other day while using it. I discovered hair clogs in the hose. Seriously disappointed since this is specifically for households with pets. I cleared the clogs, cleaned the brushroll and tried again. There was very little suction and it still turned off after a few minutes of use. I took out the filters & made sure they were clean. I was actually surprised at how clean they were. Tested it again this morning and there is still no suction. It gets hot and shuts off. Not sure if I should spend the money to get it services or just throw it away. I don't remember if I registered it for the warranty and there doesn't seem to be a way to check the website.Candace

I've been using this vacuum for a few weeks and I don't have a single complaint yet. I really love how it was designed. It is very sturdy, yet light enough to easily maneuver around the house and over any type of floor surface. The vacuum head swivels effortlessly and intuitively. I especially love the headlight feature which really helps with picking up things in small crevices and under furniture. I have a large long-haired dog and this vacuum picks up the hair without any issues! The battery is very compact; the charger takes up no more space than my single-serve coffee maker as shown in the photo. Charging only takes a few hours and delivers ample runtime for me to vacuum all three floors of my house. The dust/waste bin is easy to empty and clean. Also, the extra two nozzle heads come with a holder than conveniently & cleverly snaps onto the neck of the vacuum handle, so you always have what you need to get the job done! Overall, I LOVE this product. It is the best of both worlds between a clunky traditional corded vacuum and the compact but underperforming handheld vacuum.tfunny

Had this vacuum for roughly 18 to 24 months, has worked pretty flawlessly up until I dealt with the dreaded brush head issue I read others similarly having, after a search of google and Craftsman and finding zero real solutions, I DID NOT spend $200 on a "throw away and buy new" appliance, that simply isn't the United States I grew up in. Anyway, after a week of the head turning on only to shut down after 2 or 3 seconds, I started my disassembly quest by removing the head assembly and looking at the bottom, where I found a red tab with arrows pointing up. I then held said tab with one finger while prying the brush head out with a flat head screwdriver. I clean the brush head. We then see a red gear at the end with a tiny screw holding it, take your tiny phillips head scredriver and remove screw. Gear will be reluctant but wiggle it on out with small pliers or maybe flat screwdriver. THAT was where my problem lied as 18 months of tiny carpet fibers had gotten in there to cause enough friction to stop brush head. Remove the foreign matter and (optionally) apply just a drop of 3 in 1 onto the metal surface. Reverse to reassemble and you may have just saved some aggravation dealing with a silly warranty process or quite possibly some money. SBD Craftsman should be paying me for all the ambassador work I do for them as a DIY nobody, I tell ya hwut. Only problem I'm presently having is the weak "standing" mechanism when the vac isn't being used, it can stand on its own for an hour or so before it wants to lean either way and inevitably falls to the side. It is closet kept where I lean it up against the wall so it's not as big of a deal to me. But can be aggravating between breaks. Would definitely reccomend!! Just don't buy from Lowe's, shopping Amazon or Ace comes with ALOT more dignity in supporting an actual hardware store, Thank you.Kazi9

I've been using this stick vac every day for over a week and that's about 6 times more than I used my traditional corded vacuum. The convenience of not being limited by the length of a cord and wall outlet availability makes it a game changer for me. The motor is strong and cleans as well as my 110v corded vac, but with less noise. The ability to disable the brush makes cleaning tile/wood floors a completely different experience. The 3 power settings are perfectly located to cycle between with your thumb so that you don't suck up a floor mat when transitioning from wood/tile to rug/mat. The ability to detach the motor from the stick and use the brush head in a stubby fashion makes cleaning carpeted stairs unbelievably easier than my traditional stick vac. I have used the shorty to clean the couches and used the adapters to clean under the cushions. With the stick attached to the broom head I can reach under furniture much farther than my old stick vacuum, the LED lights also help find all your kids toys that were lost before sucking them up. The vacuum is very low profile and almost lays down flat so you don't have to move furniture around to clean. Very nice and time saving! The broom head pans from side to side while using the vacuum and I found this to be annoying when trying to go fast. I discovered a way to lock the head and am able to maneuver the vacuum more aggressively without the head flopping around. Craftsman should address that in future revisions of the vacuum, I could see someone making a kit as an "upgrade" and selling those… The wheels on the broom head are nice, but I've found them to be a little lacking when it comes to maneuverability. If the wheels were replaced with ball casters then you would have infinite movement in your X and Y axis and could slide the vacuum in any direction to reach around obstructions. I hope this is something that Craftsman would consider for future releases. The battery life is short lived with the included 2 Ah battery, but enough for me to complete about 1,500 sqf. With an additional battery or (4 Ah) you can accomplish more work. I found myself trying to race the battery to get the cleaning done, which opened my eyes to the swiveling head and rigid wheels. Cleaning is easy. Pull the container, push a button (over a garbage can) and empty the contents. The twisty knob agitator cleans fine particles from the filter (much better than banging it on the garbage can or your other hand). I wish there was a vacuum float gauge you could monitor to quickly determine the health of your filter. I've seen welding helmets with clear tubes filled with small plastic balls and graduations on the tube that let you see air flow. This would make replacing the filter more accurate than just throwing it away and buying a new one every 6 months. I really enjoy using this vacuum and find myself looking for reasons to use it. I really like my Bissell rug cleaner but this CleanView Pet Slim Corded Vacuum, not so much. Don't like the way it doesn't stand up on it's own. The button to release the dirt cup is in an awkward spot. Don't like the dust cup because if you handle it the wrong way, the dirt falls out of a hole (which is where the dirt enters in the first place). The "head" is floppy. It doesn't stay up (like a Shark) where you have to push down on it. There is really no place to grab and carry it comfortably, especially for a short person (which I am). I am on the lookout for a new stick vacuum. I should have sent this one back but it's too late now.Nancy

They quickly lose their suction and battery power so this time i went with a corded vac. I own a kirby, I love it for my deep down cleaning but is so cumbersome for my daily (yes daily) vac of my home. The cord is long enough that i only need to use 2 outlets to vac 4 bdrms 2 baths kitchen and 2 living areas. Plenty long enough! Love the cord length! Suction is great. The edge pulls debri (I mean dirt, dust and lottsa hair) from the edges of my baseboards and from under furniture edges. This vac has 2 settings 1-suction only, 2-suction with brush roll. I first assumed being that I have bare floors, that i can vac w/ just the suction. However when it was powered on I had lifted the vac head then switched to brush roll while it was in mid air, POOF, all sorts of hair went flying everywhere. Apparently static caused hair to stick to the "undercarriage" of the vac head. I now vac my bare floors w/ brush roll going. The vac head sits quite close to the floor so when I vac my exterior door mats and rugs some get sucked/sealed to vac head making it difficult to vac. Perhaps maybe wheel adjustment to keep this from happening. I now just broom those that i cant vac. Pitty. The tube does not extend or get shorter. Its kind of a hassle when im trying to vac in tighter spaces. Another thing that I love about this vac is the it lays completely flat completely parallel to the floor w/o the vac head lifting up like most vacs do. So the reach under furniture like beds, desks and tables goes as far as up to the dirt canister. Another issue, when i must remove the vac head to use tube only, the hook to where the cord gets wrapped around gets in the way of me wanting to reach tight places. Why cant cords get wrapped at the top portion of vac not all the way down its shaft. Canister is larger, big plus!sylvia

We ordered this particular model on Amazon via The Bissell Store (still as of 2022) after seeing the owner's commitment to helping local animal shelters. Only after contacting customer service did we find out this is actually a discontinued model with many problems.
The roller bar itself started burning after 11 uses or 3 months so we returned it to Bissell. The replacement lasted only a month before it too started to smoke & leave marks on the roller bar.
We only use this on our hardwood floors, and three large wool area rugs yet this is the worst vacuum we've ever owned.
Now returning for a second time. We have been told, that "the latest" version or Model 28311 does not have the same problems.
This has been such a disappointment, especially when you're purchasing via the Bissell store directly and there is no mention that you are purchasing an older, discontinued model.

This hand vac made my cleaning days a breeze with an unexpected benefit. We bought it because of the great reviews as a hand held vacuum to take along in the 5th wheel while on vacation. It turns out it's the perfect fit for our 4 sets of stairs! I have spent years trying to find the best home vac to make this stair cleaning chore easier, so this unexpected benefit of the Eufy was enough to make me write this review. Overall, I really like this hand held vacuum cleaner. I have been constantly using this product for a week now and I absolutely love it. I basically use this product to clean my sofa, table, kitchen and even carpet floor since my apartment is considered small. I am very satisfied with this product and below is my honest review on this product. If u are looking to buy a small size vacuum cleaner, I definitely recommend this Eufy H30 vacuum cleaner. Pros: -Easily maneuverable -Powerful suction power . Really great at getting everywhere and everything (except obvious big chunks and wet food even a broom would smear/that needs hand picking up. And I was surprised and happy to see a cup full of dog hair when I used the mini motorzied brush to clean my sofa. -Easy charge. It has a very convenient charging station with a small footprint. Just drop the vacuum into the slot in the charger and it will be ready for the next mess. -Great customer support. I used to have eufy Robovac, and eufy's customer support always answers my inquiries patiently and helps me replace it when I encounter product problems, so their attitude towards H30 is the same. Cons: -I want to get one more battery so I can use it to clean the second floor. When I contacted eufy customer support, they told me that there is no rechargeable battery at the moment and I need to wait. The box looks stylish and technological. Having a house full of messy boys and a shedding cat can be hard especially when you have hard wood floors that are always sticky and dusty . And carpet that always needs to be vacuumed. I recently received the Bissel Power Clean wet and dry vacuum. Let to me tell its the best cleaner out ! Its lightvweight easy to use . It has a long cord and all the attachments are perfect for the hard to reach places. My floors look brabd new and and carpet looks like it was just installed. It has a powerful suction aswell. So I’ve had this vacuum over a year now and am pretty happy with it. Here’s why: 1. Works wonderfully on carpet and hardwood 2. Does NOT get tangled with hair 3. Is SUPER easy to empty (nothing has gotten stuck in the compartment for over a year) 4. The cord is really long and let’s me vacuum my whole (small) apartment For me, these are the most important things in a vacuum. Plus, it easily lies flat to get under basically any piece of furniture, which is super helpful, and it’s not too heavy. So, considering the price point, I think this is a great buy. Some downsides: 1. It doesn’t stand on its own; it has to lean against something, and that gets annoying 2. The attachments aren’t easy to get on and off; the process is simple, but you have to pull inordinately hard to remove, so that’s also annoying However, these two downsides don’t bother me that much, especially since the vacuum does other stuff so we’ll. If you’re looking in this price bracket, then I’d highly recommend!Danielle

I used to have a Bissell Healthy Home 5770, and this is a huge step down. The one improvement it has is that the power button is not near the handle, so I don't keep accidentally turning it off. For perspective on the following, my house is 1200 sq ft of wood floor with one 5×8 area rug. The negatives are: – Single side suction – It is so lightweight that it doesn't stick to the floor when I'm driving it along the rug. – The dust bin is too small, and not easy to empty. The debris can get stuck in crevices, requiring complete dis-assembly of the bin to empty. I had to handle very dusty parts to remove all of the contents. – The power cord is too short. – The hose is WAY too short. Specs say 6 feet, but it is about 3 when not stretched. Any amount of stretching topples the lightweight vacuum. – The extender attachment is also extremely short. Even with the crevice tool attached I have to bend all the way over to reach baseboards, and I am only 5'1". – The way the hose plugs into the vacuum housing is not very secure, and the port seems flimsy like it will break if I plug it in too firmly. – Bare floor setting is not low enough. – Beater continues to rotate even when I am using the hose & attachments – Overall seems flimsy The positives: – Cool color – Power switch not on the handle – Has a turbo brush, great for upholstery Overall, this might be good for a small apartment with all wood or tile flooring (except the bare floor setting is too high).Susan

When I first got this vacuum I was head over heels for it. Now, almost two years later, I'm wondering if it's finally time to find a replacement. It's definitely a great vacuum for homes with a lot of carpet (such is the case with my townhome), but I couldn't tell you how many times this thing has fallen over and hit me while I was using the hose/TurboBrush! My previous Bissell (lasted 19 years) had a hook at the bottom for the hose so the whole thing would stay upright, but this newer model lacks that much needed safety feature. Suction power is great, but you can definitely notice a drop once your bin starts getting full — Especially if you haven't cleaned it out completely by taking it apart and getting all the fine dust that gets stuck near the top / cyclonic area. Also make sure you clean the foam filter! I vacuum almost every day and wash mine every week. Both filters get replaced every 2-3 months. Not impressed with the TurboBrush, since it basically doesn't spin if you put any pressure on it. I also have to keep taking it apart to fix the paddle wheel, which sticks after a while because fine hair gets wrapped around the small metal rods that hold it up. Avoid if you have mostly bare floors. The base brush doesn't stop spinning, so debris comes flying back at you. I just use a broom to sweep things to the edges and suck it up with the hose.April
