Best Vacuum For High Pile Rugs (2025 Update)

For a long time I was considering returning this vacuum. The only reason I haven't is because it works well enough and I don't have the time to go vacuum hunting. It's an okay vacuum but it is literally just okay. The suction is good but after a little while the vacuum becomes hard to push. It does pick up a lot of dirt, dust and hair though. The hose suction is terrible and practically nonexistent. I used the hose to vacuum up a spider which, with my old vacuum, would have killed it. But this vacuum didn't kill it and it somehow escaped (I got it the next day with a shoe but really, it's that easy for them to escape??). Also the attachments will not stay on the vacuum AT ALL so I have to keep them in a bag. The cord is long, but too long. Even if you leave it wound, it often falls off the hooks while vacuuming and gets in the way.JustAGirlFromSomeplace

This vacuum was purchased by my household less about 10 months ago and it's already broken. I have used it almost daily, so it's gotten a lot of use. Worked great at first, but had to replace belts at least once a month because they kept breaking. I was using the vacuum at the correct setting for carpet height, however it kept switching to bare floor mode by itself. I wasn't sure how that was happening. Also, the top part of the handle cracked in half, which I believe is due to design flaw. When you are pushing the vacuum, this seemed to be the point that would bear the most weight and it's the thinnest part of the handle. It's good if you are in need of a vacuum on a budget, but don't expect it to last long.kristywink

Seriously, this thing is epic. Still mostly plastic on the exteripr, but, unlike cheaper vacuums, this has a but of quality and detail to it. The quality of plastics is higher, the quality of molds and designing are better too. This thing is no louder than any other vacuum I have ever owned, with the brush ruler off. But, turn that on (it can be disengaged on the fly with a foot pedal fit quick switching between carpet and hardwood floors – nice), and it is rather loud. You definitely know those brushes are spinning. I am fine with that, but some may be snowflakes about noise (or have sleeping babies – I understand not wanting THIS vacuum if you have a baby and relish a little nap time). If you aren't whisper-thirsty… THIS Vacuum will suck the ghosts out of a haunted carpet. I literally only have two rooms with carpet and a hallway, yet this sucker nearly filled its canister on the FIRST use! Seriously, I pulled up enough dirt, dust, sand dander, and dog fur that I ended up with about two pounds of filth to dump once I was done (and I only vacuumed the master bedroom and hall!!!). If you can get this vacuum for……. under $150, grab it! Easy to assemble, easy to use, very sturdy, very VERY well made for the price I bought mine at, and DOES A DAMN GOOD JOB. Ordered this bundle for such a great deal! Unfortunately, the item was delivered to the wrong address by FedEx. Totally not Hoover's fault. They re-shipped another bundle to me, and it worked out well the second time. I love these vacuums! They do a great job on our hardwoods and rugs and carpet. Our two year old loves to help vacuum too – that's how light the stick vacuum is! Being cordless is such a plus!!! Only wish that the batteries weren't so expensive, but that's not a huge deal. We purchased one extra battery just so both the handheld and stick have their own batteries. I will say that the handheld is far inferior to the stick, but it works for what we need (to do the stairs and our cars) – just have to go over the same areas multiple times, as the suction isn't stellar. I would recommend and purchase the stick vacuum again for sure… just probably not the handheld.Moon

I bought this cordless vac because I like any conveniences I can get when it comes to house work. I use my floor cleaners more often when cordless. I can glady skip wrapping/unwrapping, plugging/unplugging cords in and out of electrical outlets from room to room. I've been happy with this cordless since I got it last July (not quite one year old). It was an upgrade overall from what I had. However the hose got a hole in it not about 6-7 months in. Not from anything I could figure out. I duct taped it and after a second hole, I contacted the Manufacturer, since it's still within a 3 year warranty. They said the hose is not made anymore – already out of making the parts??? They will replace it — okay, — but I have to mail the whole vac back on my dime. They will pay for the shipment of the new unit. Which may be kinda fair, but it's too soon for this type of episode with a not quite a year old vacuum. Since the parts are not being made – there's no commitment to this product by the mfr. I did not buy at this store, but thought I would let someone know if considering — please don't do it.Chickee

I was going back and forth between this and the shark navigator cordless. They seemed pretty even on reviews. I mostly decided on this because it's was on sale on the Hoover website! I had to wait a little longer to get it then I would from other sites(about 5 days from the day I ordered it) but it was worth the price difference for sure. I was worried about it as I have 4 dogs. A great dane(high shedder short hair), a Mini Aussie( How shedder clumpy hair), a King Shepherd(high shedder clumpy long hair) and a Cheweenie(high shedder short hair. I also have a maine coon cat. So, I essentially have lots of hair everywhere, all the time. I do NOT know how this performs on carpers because I bought it for my wood floors( bathrooms(2), hallway, entryway, dining room, and kitchen.) So far it has worked great for me. I have had ZERO clog issues despite the amount of hair it has to pick up and I have been able to vacuum all the above mentioned rooms in one swoop without the battery going dead. It picks everything up easily. I actually accidentally sucked up a good size piece of paper today and really though it would cause my first clog, but atlas it didn't. So far this vacuum is performing perfectly for me. I think the only downside I can think of as of now is the fact that a replacement battery is 100$. However, there are off brand batteries other places that are compatible with this vacuum for half the price, and the reviews on them state that they actually work better than the original hoover battery… So, I will probably just go that route whenever I need a new battery. If you want a cordless for wood (or any non carpeted) floors, this one is definitely recommended. And it does hold up against that pet hair!Ameri5

Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum is light weight & really easy to remove the canister from the stick stick. Glides nicely over our entire house which has mostly wood floors and tile, but did well on multiple rugs with different pile heights. It even comes with attachments to clean the stairs, furniture or our SUV & truck. We had a different cordless one but needed a vacuum we didn’t have to worry about running out of battery 1/2 way through our home. The cord is super long so that helps us from having to re-plug every few feet. The dust compartment is simple to empty and clean out with a press of a button. We have 2 dogs and 4 kids so we’re constantly vacuuming, the power is awesome and it’s convenient to easily unload the debris. It’s lightweight too, so it’s easy for me to move around the house without it being a hassle. There is a little downside to it, which is that it doesn’t stand on its own, so you’ll have to either prop it on something or fold it (which is easy) in order to do something else if needed while vacuuming. So I’m taking it down a star for that since I do have to stop and pick up toys etc having kids & pets constantly playing.Heathermthomas

The Shark Rocket Pro, picks up VERY well. The area I first vacuumed with it, was a area that had been vacuumed the day before. Within five minutes, the Shark had picked up A LOT more. The vacuum was easy to assemble and the attachment comes apart easily to be able to vacuum the ceiling and other had to get to areas. The Shark glides across any floor easily and turns easily. The only drawback I found with this Shark machine was the motor was near the top of the handle and it made the machine top heavy. It doesn’t stand on it’s own. There are two small attachments that didn’t have anywhere to attach to the machine, that I could find. But, as well as this machine works, I find these to be minor problems. As you can see from the photo, it picked up quite a bit after only a five minute vacuum. I have animals and cleaning hair has always been a problem.adcatex6

This Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum works GREAT ! I really like how light weight it is, I can very easily maneuver it around the house with little effort and let me say how GREAT it picks up all the dirt and debris from my floors. My carpets are much cleaner/fluffy and my hardwood floors are cleaned better than when I sweep. I am very excited and satisfied at how much debris/hair/dust/dirt was in the debris container. This vacuum has PLENTY of attachments that I can use on my stairs and I'll even be cleaning my curtains and window seals. As small as this vacuum is, is does the job QUICKLY and very EFFECTIVELY, much much better than my current canister vacuum. This Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum is much quieter and very stronger in terms of suction than ANY vacuum I've ever owned. I went from 45 minutes of vacuuming to 15 minutes, WHAT A GREAT IMPROVEMENT ! Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend the Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum if you want clean floors with little effort AND multiple attachments that can simplify and clean the most hard to reach places and other areas.liljayp

I LOVE DYSON. It’s been a love affair for @15 or so years. I had the V-6 and made an excuse that college child needed so I could get the V-11animal. No one in my house were allowed to use. It WAS my baby – empty nester at the time. I bought it shortly after it first came out so it has the screwed in battery. I needed a cordless vacuum that was able to pick up Belgian Malinois Shepard fur from H _ _ _, easy to use, lighter than a full vacuum BUT WORK AS WELL OR BETTER than a full-size – I have chronic back pain and fibromyalgia and numbness… Yes in my crazy perfect vacuum dream world this existed and it DID! Thanks Dyson! It checked EVERY box of my needs, well except price. It was the most I have ever spent on something for me but dang it I deserved it and NEEDED it. It has been absolutely incredible! I would have told you 2 years ago do whatever you need to and buy bc it has incredible suction, awesome holders for tools with wall mount and on pole, adjustable suction on torque floor tool, adjust able power – Eco for low dirt area, Auto and Boost for deeper and stronger suction. So those are PROS. CONS are you need to press trigger to power it so with my neuropathy in hands at times I cannot vac, need to remove any attachments to empty dirt bin, after @8-12 months the bin empty slide started to stick, and then at 2 years (WARRANTY EXPIRED) and @5 months it started to shut off and then turn on. Called customer support and and they did a video troubleshoot and said it’s the battery. Well no battery in stock. Actually ABSOLUTELY ZERO SPARE PARTS for my baby have been in stock for over a month now! A week or so later it stopped more and then shut down. Called again and told it was the cyclone part (a guy on YouTube had same exact issue but his warranty was still active) BUT NO PART available. He told me to call or go to my nearest Dyson service center. Well the nearest in @1.25hrs. away. I do not have a car – getting divorced so I took my Dyson V11 animal and he got our 25 y/o car worth about the same. He fought for my V11 which was honestly a no win – I don’t know what he was thinking. Lol Plus the service center when I finally reached a person said that maybe it’s the trigger and I could mail it in. I still haven’t decided bc why pay to ship something that there’s no parts for? I rarely ever leave reviews but this thing is great! This is my first Dyson purchase and I have a German Shepard mix who sheds constantly, this V11 handles his hair with ease. I love the flexibility to use it anywhere with the attachments that are included, my personal favorite is the mini motorized tool. The simple design makes it easy to clean and maintenance. This thing picks up dirt that you don’t even see, especially in carpets and area rugs. I am also one who cares about packaging and this thing is packaged perfectly. The only downside, like all electronics is the battery life. 5 to 6 minutes on boost mode is not enough for a vacuum of this cost. I would like to see Dyson sell an additional king power cord that can be used to power the vacuum directly more like a traditional vacuum if needed for those of us with bigger houses with lots of carpeted areas.Jxustin

After reading these reviews I can't help but think that these machines are designed to last for roughly 2.5 years. My machine did the exact same thing that others have written about. I purchased this machine back in January 2020, about a month ago it started cutting off during use. The cutting off started getting more frequently to the point where the machine stays on for about 2 seconds before cutting off which makes it inoperable. So I call the service center to be told that my machine is out of warranty as of January 2022 and a replacement motor will cost $116. It is really unfortunate that a $700 machine is designed to last 2.5 years before you have to put more money into it. The sad part about it is that most people will pay the $116 because you can not get a new decent vac for that price and secondly, you have already invested $700 in this machine. It is very disheartening, and I wish I would have went with a different brand.Trise

I have had a Hoover Windtunnel since 2012 and love it. This vacuum is terrible. It has good suction but………When it is in the Upright position so you can use the attachments the roller brush does not shut off. It ruins your carpet! It actually was smelling like something was burning. I think the belt was slipping. Bad engineering to not have the roller brush shut off in the upright position. What kind of idiot would say yes to a design like this? Our Windtunnel shuts off in the upright position. Tried to call Hoover….was told they were closed on a Thursday, I Was told in a recording to go online which I did but chat said they were closed and to call them. PING PONG affect going on here. DUMB….. Then on Friday was on hold 2 hrs before it cut me off. Called back, pressed the prompt for a call back and never got one the entire day and still no call back. Today is Monday called again and again We are closed after going through all the prompts to wait for an agent. Went online to chat and actually got someone named Honey B who was a bit rude saying we are open, just busy. So there is a difference of being closed and saying busy hang on….. Then when I told about the problem we had I was told to talk to who makes our carpet. Pass the buck Hoover on poor engineering huh????. You should never have a vacuum that the brush spins and spins when it's in one place. This vacuum was made to use attachments so put the rollers into idle please while using them. You will wear out your carpet and wear out your vacuum belt. Hoover will try everything I'm sure to cover our damaged carpet….SO BUYER beware. FORGET this vacuum. Its junk. PLUS the dial to lift the vacuum head up really does nothing. It's a joke. And when emptying the canister, it fell off the hinges. Seriously, I will never recommend Hoover again. They have gone down hill..You do get what you pay for. And this one is best left on the shelf.Larry59

I grew up using Hoover products and have used them my entire adult life. I researched all brands/models before replacing our older Hoover. We decided on this vacuum due to having three cats and it's excellent reviews. The first time I vacuumed with it, I loved it. I actually still love it's vacuuming capabilities (after using it a month). The fault with this product lies in the fact that as soon as you turn on the vacuum, the brush turns at a very high speed (while vacuum is still in upright position) and the brush doesn't stop until you turn off the vacuum, regardless of floor setting or if you are using the upholstery/stair attachments. I've never had a vacuum like this before and being that it's specifically designed for pet owners, the fact that the brush turns when the upholstery attachments are in use baffles me. While trying to vacuum our couch the brush actually wore on our carpet and heated it to the point of melting after less than a minute. I tried manipulating the vacuum and leaning it back off the carpet while using the attachment but that is just way too much effort. We tried it on all floor settings including hard floor with the same results. Honestly, the brush shouldn't turn until the handle is released for vacuuming so I'm not exactly sure why it was made this way. I returned it thinking I had a faulty vacuum and exchanged it for the same model (it does vacuum really well), and the second vacuum did the same, so I must assume it's simply a design flaw. So if your pet's don't shed on furniture or stairs I recommend this model, otherwise It pains me to say that I don't recommend it.Cat mom of three

Well, it seems to do ok but there are some things that make me wonder why they were designed the way they were. The on switch should be up at the top of the handle instead of being a foot switch where the reclining lever used to be for something like 100 years of Hoover vacuums. To recline the handle now requires I reach around with my foot and step on the front of the machine while forcing the handle down. It's very awkward and silly to change a design that worked for a century. And the rug height adjustment is a little touchy. I set it around medium and started vacuuming a very low rug and didn't know the belt was slipping until I smelled rubber burning. Oops. Once I learned to dial the height properly the vacuum does a pretty good job of cleaning pet hair and dirt from carpet. I had been vacuuming with a shop vac and thought my rugs were fairly clean, but the Hoover with the spinning brushes managed to pull out a lot more dirt that I missed. Emptying the canister is straightforward. I take it outside and blow it with a leaf blower. I can't imagine getting it sufficiently clean any other way without using water. Overall it's a marvel of engineering that performs its job very well, but with a couple very obvious design blunders that renders it a bit awkward to use.Randal

First of all, this vacuum arrived on or ahead of schedule and was packaged very well. I was looking for a lighter, smaller canister vac to replace a Kenmore which I was unable to get repaired after 12 years of good service. I was skittish about purchasing something other than a Kenmore, a brand I have used for appliance purchases for many years, but now they are going out of business. I decided this was the time for a smaller vacuum as I frequently use it upstairs and down. I really wanted to see the vac prior to purchase, but due to Covid and many stores not carrying canisters, I had no choice but to buy online. I was able to get the best price, compared to other retailers, by using my BB&B coupons and purchased the vac as well as the supply of bags and filters. I've had the vac for four months and love it! The suction is awesome, it is lightweight and easy to handle and carry up and down stairs – perfect for my situation. I just changed the bag today for the first time and it was very easy. I do wish the cord were just a bit longer and the control was in the handle, instead of on the vac, but these are not major issues for me. Overall, very happy with my purchase and love shopping at Bed Bath and Beyond!Patricia

My wife and I have had upright vacuums for the last 20 years and were having to replace them every 2-3 years. When it came time to yet again replace an upright because the plastic brush head broke, we looked into the Mieie canister line. Since we had only a couple of rugs , no carpets and mostly hardwood floors, we went with the Classic C1 Turbo Team. It is super quiet and powerful and it's nice to be able to dial down the power, in fact we have never used it on full power. It's also handy to have suction control on the straight wand part, this keeps the Turbo head from sticking on a super low Turkish type rug. Our only regret is not buying a Miele sooner and as an added perk, our dog doesn't bark at the canister like she did the uprights and is tolerating the low noise quite fine.Ron

I purchased this vacuum after reading hundreds of reviews, videos and questions to those I know that own one. I am in LOVE with it! It is one of the quietest vacuums I've ever owned! I have hardwood, area rugs and medium pile carpet in a couple rooms. It made the floors throughout the house pristinely clean! I literally vacuumed the kitchen (vinyl flooring). No more brooms and dust pans for me! My back is very thankful! I didn't get the model that is $100 less because of the carpets and I'm glad I did. I have a hardwood floor attachment and the turbo that I use on my carpets. This is cleaning HEAVEN! It makes things just SO much easier. The extending tube is great to grab any dust on the walls/ceiling and those little cobwebs that magically appear every darned spring! I have a dog who sheds and it got his hair up in the corners and carpet wonderfully! I know this isn't the pet grade one but I plan to upgrade the filter or bag or whatever because it picks up my boy's hair just fine! My sister has one and she uses hers to clean up crumbs and dry spills (salt, seasonings, whatever) from her counters and table! She loves not having the soggy mess to clean with a cloth! (3 teens in her house). All of this to say…BUY IT! If this EVER dies (which I sincerely doubt it will) I will go for the big daddy. Just because…LOLCherylBeee

This vacuum glides across high pile carpet! My Dyson was so difficult to use even after adjusting the settings once we bought new carpet which has a higher pile. The Soniclean is light weight, easy to move and does an amazing job. So glad we invested in this one! And I’m thrilled to not have to dump the canister anymore! I love that this is a bagged vacuum! I highly recommend this vacuum!SWelch

We moved into a new home with luxury plush carpet and an extra thick pad underneath. My Shark vacuum that I love would hardly move on it, regardless of the setting. This vacuum moves easily even on the deep clean mode, and cleans very well. It’s been weeks and still the bag seems pretty empty so I think it will last a while. There are no attachments, so that would be an improvement. But I only use this for our carpeted bedrooms and use the Shark for all other tasks, like wool runner on the stairs and hardwood floors. 100% would buy this again. But they can’t seem to figure out how to ship me the replacement bags .Michelle

I’ve spent several hours of research, this is the Best Bang for the Buck. Do yourself a favor, buy it!!! Read the reviews later. I had not “vaccumed” my stairs in over 3 months as my DYSON DC33 died after several years. I did many hours of research and the Shark brands would be up there with Dyson in most comparisons. I was considering the Dyson Animal but it wouldn’t be less than $500, now Dyson is actual on sale for $350. Prior to writing this review after thorough research and also comparing the Shark Apex Duo Clean, I ended up with this one for $229, I was about to buy it for $279 and it won’t on sale next week. Anyhow just see how much dirt it picked up from the stair case. I only did about 7 of them and my dust-bin is super filthy. Although it might not me a fair comparison with the Dyson DC33 (that died) I’m certain it never sucked like this. This is the most powerful vaccum I have ever experienced. Now let’s talk about build quality, the accessories definitely feel inferior in contrast to a Dyson, so I don’t know about the longevity of this. I also did notice lot of reviewers complained about the pole or the main handle that goes behind the vaccum, that also is hollow and feels like it won’t last too long, but it works great I couldn’t be happier. In all honesty you do not need to spend $400-500. Some reviews say the Apex Duo Clean with 2 roller brushes doesn’t pick up as well as this. I’ve only tried the stairs, I will edit my review if needed. I will have to try on tiles/ hard floor.DmnTrd40

I have been a shark customer for a very long time. I have the power lift-away from years ago and the things runs like a champ. However, I saw this one and thought WOW no more cutting the dog hair from the wheel and an XL cup will save me so..much..time! I would say overall it's definitely a good vacuum BUT I miss features from my other one that make me sad when I pull this one out of the closet. I do still have the other so I can use both. Pros: Lightweight- for a large vacuum, this is very easy to lift XL Cup- definitely helps when you have 2 very large furry dogs Long Hose-ish- long but doesn't reach like it states Super Sucker- I did think the suction was very good on getting up massive amounts of dog hair (Border Collie/Newfoundland and Great Pyrenees/Aussie mix) Cons: No Lift-Away- Doesn't seem like that big of a deal until you are going up and down the stairs or reaching into vaulted ceilings, the canister doesn't fall over No Light- again not a HUGE deal but seeing dust bunnies run from you was easier with a light Hose- The hose states it'll reach 12' making stairs easy but let me tell you, it does not even come close. Like mentioned above, once you get hose fully extended you need something to weigh it down so it doesn't fall over from over extension Accessories- My liftaway had a ton of accessories for options i.e. stair brushroll, and a few others but let's stick with that one. For a machine that claims it's turbo power for pets to not provide a stair brushroll seems silly, I have tried to rig my old one to fit my new machine and it works just ok, I end up using my old vacuum to do the stairs ugh. Self Cleaning Brushroll- seems ok for now but still have hair wrapped around it that i'm sure I'll have to cut off. Overall: I like the vacuum, esthetically it's really good looking (because you know that's important) It seems to do a good job as needed, I wish it was a clone of my liftaway with "newer" features but it's not.WCoates

Got this to replace a 15+ year old upright, and I am shocked at how much technology has improved! This is a fraction of the weight, quieter, stronger, more maneuverable, and easier to clean out. The old one had the yellow plastic filter tucked up inside the machine where it was a serious pain to blindly get back in place. I love the ability to vary suction power both on the vacuum and the attachment. (I love the two-in-one attachment.) I gave our place a much-needed vacuuming and was horrified/quite pleased with the amount of awfulness this bad boy cleaned up. After the first time I used this, there was a lot of hair wrapped around the brush. I was initially concerned, but then I decided to trust the instructions (and test the product) and waited until after using it some more to see if it cleaned itself. And it did! I was happy to see the claim fulfilled in at least that one instance.Sherwood

I am disappointed with this vacuum. Pros: I love that it doesn't have a disposable bag. The suction power is great, and may be too strong (wish there was a way to adjust the suction power). The filtration seems great — no sneezing fits after vacuuming! Cons: This is an extremely noisy machine, particularly when using the wand with attachments, especially the stair tool. Stair tool is less than 5 inches wide, rendering it useless. Using the cleaner head doesn't fully vacuum dust off of hardwood floors – it seems that I will have to separately purchase the "articulating hard floor" tool to get the job done right. The wand is extremely awkward to use: the hose retracts too tightly and pulls the vacuum if you try to use it fully extended. The hose crimps and blocks the suction since it doesn't have any curvature where one's hand holds it. (I note that all promo picture show the hose extended fully straight — is it not supposed to be used at an angle?) The cleaner head is rather wide and not ideal for smaller spaces. Cleaner head with beater turned on can easily suck up fringe and edges of thin rugs, and in fact has shredded the edges of a sisal rug. This is not an ideal vacuum for those with lots of rugs and wood floors who want to try to clean both at the same time without continuously toggling back and forth between using the cleaner head and the wand. The machine feels flimsy, cheap, and wobbly. The handle always feels like it is about to twist and snap off. My 20 year old Miele is a far better vacuum in terms of design and quality.DJBklyn

So I have had this vacuum for about a year now and am sorely disappointed in the way this Dyson was created. Again I will first complain about how HEAVY it is – Seriously, if you are not strong and you have more than one level in your home, reconsider before purchasing this vacuum. Moving it up and down the stairs is a challenge – my son can't do it and my husband complains of it's weight when he has to so take that into consideration. My last Dyson was half this weight and still cleaned great. Besides the weight though, I have had so a bunch of other issues with this model – some small, some not. > There are too many points where dirt gets stuck and I have to literally take half the vacuum apart to figure out where the clog is and to fix it. This has happened to me sooooo many times and I literally have to follow the tubing to see where the issue is, sometimes it is in the wand, sometimes in the actual vacuum part and sometimes it is where the dirt goes into the dirt cabinet (or whatever it is called). I have spent so much time cleaning out my vacuum to make it work and then causing a huge mess of dirt on the floor that it causes my cleaning time to take way longer than it should. I have kids and pets so there's all kinds of small things on the floor, but I expect a vacuum of this caliber to be able to not only handle it but not require me sit down on the floor and conduct surger on my vacuum to fix the issue. > In order to use the wand I have to unwind all of the plug cable as the cable locks the wand into place on the vacuum – just not convenient. > After using the wand, trying to put it back in place is such a challenge that half the time my family won't even take the time to put it back in its place – it just doesn't want to go where it should. > When using the wand, your hand sits on the stretch tube part and as it picks things up it hits stretchy tube part right where your hand is – half the times I think that there is a hole because it feels like it really is hitting my hand but I realize there is no hole but then the rest of me wonders how long will this stretch section actually last if things are constantly hitting it in the same spot??? I bought a Dyson Vacuum in 2006. It was amazing, I couldn't believe how good a vacuum it was…a little pricey at $300 compared to competitors, but well worth the money. The suction was fantastic and the tool organization was amazing. Fast forward to 2021 and that Dyson, now 15 years old dies…and totally understandable she went thru a lot. So now, simplest fix is to buy a new Dyson…big mistake. I don't know what they have been doing since 2006, but they now make a terribly cheap vacuum, which now surprising costs even more at $499 (inflation). It is clunky, fully manufactured with the cheapest and thinnest plastics and they changed some of the impressive designs in 2006 to something much less user friendly. It truly amazes me that they could have done nothing for 15 years and would still have a vacuum way better than what they sell now. Only explanation is greed, squeeze out every penny from the Dyson name, but make a product they no is crap.Benjamin

There are three sections the dirt goes in and I have to clean all three out each week, not just the one section it's supposed to go into. The cat hair stays at the top, so I have to remove the middle section with the dirt then stick my hand up to take out the top cylinder and get it out to clean, dumping dust and other things all over the place in the process. makes a terrible noise the whole time. Other vacuums we have had we had to wash out the filters every few months – this one it's once a week. And that is all just for our home use, where we vacuum no more than twice a week and usually less than that!rf

I am so disappointed with this product. Firstly no one informs you that the battery has a very limited life span – its performance will weaken after a couple of years. I have owned my Dyson V7 Motorhead for 3 years and am now lucky to get 10 minutes running time on high suction before it dies on me. Secondly I was told by the salesman that cleaning the filter just required rinsing the cloth tube under a tap after use. Not true! In order to get decent suction on carpets the metal cyclone filter has to be taken out and thoroughly cleaned, which is a difficult job considering the product's design does not allow for easy access. I have even resorted to hoovering out the cyclone filter with my Mr Henry which is a pretty ridiculous situation. James Dyson should hang his head in shame for making such an expensive and short lived product, which only adds to the landfill problem when trying to dispose of it.MrsB

The vacuum is so light to use by comparison to competitors. The suction is fantastic for a household with pets and kids. (kid=crumbs and pets=mud!) We do have a "cabled" vacuum for the main cleaning, but this Dyson is great for the daily "quick whizz over" and the quick clear up of crumbs/mud. If the budget allowed and in hindsight, I would have bought the product with the longer lifespan on full max (why would you not use max all the time!). This is because a quick whizz of the car (mud & crumbs again!) depletes the battery very quickly, and it is too much of a faff to bring out the corded vacuum… thus, only half a job! Also, when the nozzle adapter is used (for crevices), the Dyson loses some of the stability. It feels loose and you cant apply too much downward force/pressure. (If that makes sense.) I bought my V7 as a refurbished machine from Dyson. It arrived and looking at it it looked brand new so was feeling pleased. Got it all set up. Noticed it was really quiet in operation… fantastic. I was falling in love with it. It was lightweight and was beginning to think I had made a wise choice. Then things started to go wrong. I noticed the beater bar wasn't rotating. I took the beater bar out of the head and realised the motor was turning but a part, I assuming it is called a drive dog or something was missing. Not to worry a premium product would have exemplary support mechanisms in place. Nope wrong there! I was quite happy to fit the missing part myself if Dyson would send it out. I thought I'd use the option of the WhatsApp messaging service to contact customer services. I sent photos and videos as requested but all I seemed to get was a generic response of "I can sort this out for you". Of course that never happened. I ended up phoning customer services who were very pleasant who suggested that "they could send a new beater head out….. BUT they were out of stock and would take 10 to 14 days to come in". So here we have a Dyson V7 raring to be used but would be potentially sitting in a cupboard for nigh on 3 weeks between ordering and getting the part so I could use it. Absolutely not acceptable. Would have been happy for the whole caboodle to be exchanged but apparently that wasn't possible. Dyson very kindly offered to refund my money and collect the faulty machine. Now what was I going to do??? Simples, I ordered a Samsung Jet 95. An absolutely superb machine. Slightly heavier than the V7, slightly louder in operation but it works perfectly. Most impressed. So a big thank you to Dyson for letting me down, though the poor experience of your customer service I was forced into the arms of a competitor. I felt duty bound to share my experience and to explain to other potential purchasers that Dyson are not all they are cracked up to be.DavidP

We purchased the Shark corded stick model at Target a few years ago. At first it was great, and I recommend it for smaller houses or apartments since it's lightweight and small. It's powerful for its size. But it's not super durable. From what I've read, Shark doesn't make many replacement parts and there aren't many opportunities to repair their products. After about 2 years, several important parts were broken, including the hinge holding the dust cup together. We've been using packing tape to hold together the dust cup, and we have to cut off the tape to empty it and then re-tape it shut every time. Also the main little interior hose at the bottom that connects the head to the stick cracked wide open. The brush gets wrapped with long hair easily. The suction is pretty bad now, probably because of all these issues. Overall pros: It's great on wood floors, good on rugs, and works well while it lasts. Lightweight and easy to maneuver and carry up stairs. I like the attachments and they're easy to use. Long cord. Bagless is more environmentally friendly, although it's best to empty it into a plastic bag anyways. It's a good deal when it's on sale for $100. Overall cons: Doesn't stand up on its own. Cheaply made. The dust bin is really small. It's a hassle to empty the dust bin because you have to unplug the whole vacuum and carry the entire cord out to the trash can with you to empty the cup. Also, bagless vacuums just seem dirtier to me since the dust and hair isn't actually contained. It's always gross emptying it and trying to avoid the cloud of crap flying up at you. It is amazing honestly. We vacuumed our carpets with our old Shark right before we went to Target to look for a new one. We came home and vacuumed again over all of it. The canister filled up TWICE. I was mortified lol. This vacuum has powerful suction and harder tips on the roller that RAKE the carpet and get the film of dog hair out of my thick plush carpeting. I’m not lying. If I was unimpressed, I would tell you so! You DO have to empty the canister more than you would any other vacuum because it is small. If you are continuously vacuuming every room in your house and not emptying, you are going to put extra stress on the motor. It IS a stick vacuum. If you need heavy duty, 5-6 rooms at a time vacuuming, this isn’t your vacuum. I had to empty after EACH room because my vacuum obviously wasn’t doing its job. But I expect next time I won’t (I hope) because I will be pulling out the vacuum daily and keeping the dirt to a minimal in general. I really wanted cordless but my man insisted he didn’t want to deal with battery issues. I’ve never had a cordless and I just wanted one so bad. Cords irritate me and get in my way lol. But this purchase was good. So far I am very satisfied. I will definitely come back and redo my review if I feel like my opinion has changed in a couple months. I’ve had this vacuum for 4 years. Here are my thoughts: PROS 1. Good suction, still finds dust and dirt and pet hair 2. Lightweight and really low profile so you can vacuum under things easily 3. Price is amazing for the quality 4. No bags and all the filters I can clean out on my own and reuse. Huge cost and environmental savings. 5. Easy and fast detach / attach for getting corners and using the tools that come with it. 6. Dust bin opens easily and smart so I can hold it over the trash and won’t get dust everywhere. Less messy to empty than others. CONS 1. Corded 2. Hose broke down in head where it bends and flexes as you vacuum, I noticed it at year 3.5, so I had to replace that segment of hose (had holes/cracks in it). I purchased a hose at Home Depot and found some instructions online. Overall it was moderately hard to replace. 3. Suction does not adjust when you vacuum over rugs like the expensive name brand competitor so I have to stand on one end to hold the rug down due to the suction wanting to pickup the rug. 4. Doesn’t sit upright, must lean against a wall when it’s not hanging on the wall given it is too heavy. If you pause during vacuuming to pick something up etc. the thing may fall down while leaning against the wall. Takes a bit of experience to get the perfect, no-fall lean figured out.jessica.b

I just moved into a new apartment and have saved up for this Dyson and it was the best decision I have made. My new place is a 2 bed/2 bath apartment with mostly hard floors and carpets in the bedroom. After going to Dyson’s website and taking their quiz. First, I have to suggest going through Dyson’s website to purchase and not through a 3rd party (Amazon, Target, etc). Dyson offers a price match, you are ensured a warranty, if you wish to get additional attachments, you can know you are getting the correct ones. Next, after know about what model and price point I needed, I was able to look at each machine and pick out the best that would work for me, my cleaning routine, and my home. My Dyson came with so many different attachments (included!!!) but the reason I chose this one was it had different heads for one for each type of flooring, carpet or hard floors. I can remove the wand to make the attachments handheld to clean my couch, add it and a soft bristle head to clean the walls and the top corners next to my ceiling. I could go on and on. This isn’t a vacuum… this has replaced so many different tools I used to clean and, above all, my favorite part, as new apartments can come some lingering bugs, I take the head off and can stay far enough away and still catch and dump the creepy-crawlies. It is my new bug killing machine. As I said, I could write a novel about how much I love this Dyson. It was worth every penny.heather.n

First of all; I have a DC33 for almost 10 years and it is still working excellent, I had repaired a minor cosmetic issue but this is a great tool from Dyson. I really appreciate the thoughtful design of these machines and everything that Dyson produces. This is an outstanding company. Now, we bought the V8 Absolute and we are even more impressed with such beautiful design, with such a great details and mostly with the efficiency of a Dyson. The quality of the VB-Absolute is visible and tangible; this is a great investment and a great tool to implement in our home. I got a V7 in Jan 2019. Initially, and for about 1.5 yrs., I thoroughly enjoyed it. Then my housecleaner told me a charge didn't last more than 10 mins. Because I have another plug-in vacuum, I didn't think much of it at the time. Then I hired another cleaner. She brought her own vacuum so it hasn't been used at all since Jan 2022. Just in the last week, I tried to use it and it only lasted about 30 seconds. I had a very good experience with the website and service person on the phone but I have been advised that a new battery is necessary. If that is correct, I must say that I am disappointed in Dyson. I expected better performance from their machine. For a machine that is 3 1/2 yrs. old and only used perhaps 2 years of that (and not solely because I have another machine), I think the battery should last longer. And, if the cost of the battery is 1/4 of the price of the machine, I think that is even more disappointing. And, it's the cost of the battery + shipping. My carpenter husband has battery powered tools, uses them consistently and has never had to replace a battery. That knowledge doesn't help me. Is it possible that the charging station is defective? At any rate, as much as I loved it in the beginning, I'm pretty unhappy at present. I recommended my vacuum to lots of friends at first but now, I would have to tell them the whole story and what to expect.Bren

I have had a Hoover Windtunnel since 2012 and love it. This vacuum is terrible. It has good suction but………When it is in the Upright position so you can use the attachments the roller brush does not shut off. It ruins your carpet! It actually was smelling like something was burning. I think the belt was slipping. Bad engineering to not have the roller brush shut off in the upright position. What kind of idiot would say yes to a design like this? Our Windtunnel shuts off in the upright position. Tried to call Hoover….was told they were closed on a Thursday, I Was told in a recording to go online which I did but chat said they were closed and to call them. PING PONG affect going on here. DUMB….. Then on Friday was on hold 2 hrs before it cut me off. Called back, pressed the prompt for a call back and never got one the entire day and still no call back. Today is Monday called again and again We are closed after going through all the prompts to wait for an agent. Went online to chat and actually got someone named Honey B who was a bit rude saying we are open, just busy. So there is a difference of being closed and saying busy hang on….. Then when I told about the problem we had I was told to talk to who makes our carpet. Pass the buck Hoover on poor engineering huh????. You should never have a vacuum that the brush spins and spins when it's in one place. This vacuum was made to use attachments so put the rollers into idle please while using them. You will wear out your carpet and wear out your vacuum belt. Hoover will try everything I'm sure to cover our damaged carpet….SO BUYER beware. FORGET this vacuum. Its junk. PLUS the dial to lift the vacuum head up really does nothing. It's a joke. And when emptying the canister, it fell off the hinges. Seriously, I will never recommend Hoover again. They have gone down hill..You do get what you pay for. And this one is best left on the shelf.Larry59

I grew up using Hoover products and have used them my entire adult life. I researched all brands/models before replacing our older Hoover. We decided on this vacuum due to having three cats and it's excellent reviews. The first time I vacuumed with it, I loved it. I actually still love it's vacuuming capabilities (after using it a month). The fault with this product lies in the fact that as soon as you turn on the vacuum, the brush turns at a very high speed (while vacuum is still in upright position) and the brush doesn't stop until you turn off the vacuum, regardless of floor setting or if you are using the upholstery/stair attachments. I've never had a vacuum like this before and being that it's specifically designed for pet owners, the fact that the brush turns when the upholstery attachments are in use baffles me. While trying to vacuum our couch the brush actually wore on our carpet and heated it to the point of melting after less than a minute. I tried manipulating the vacuum and leaning it back off the carpet while using the attachment but that is just way too much effort. We tried it on all floor settings including hard floor with the same results. Honestly, the brush shouldn't turn until the handle is released for vacuuming so I'm not exactly sure why it was made this way. I returned it thinking I had a faulty vacuum and exchanged it for the same model (it does vacuum really well), and the second vacuum did the same, so I must assume it's simply a design flaw. So if your pet's don't shed on furniture or stairs I recommend this model, otherwise It pains me to say that I don't recommend it.Cat mom of three

Well, it seems to do ok but there are some things that make me wonder why they were designed the way they were. The on switch should be up at the top of the handle instead of being a foot switch where the reclining lever used to be for something like 100 years of Hoover vacuums. To recline the handle now requires I reach around with my foot and step on the front of the machine while forcing the handle down. It's very awkward and silly to change a design that worked for a century. And the rug height adjustment is a little touchy. I set it around medium and started vacuuming a very low rug and didn't know the belt was slipping until I smelled rubber burning. Oops. Once I learned to dial the height properly the vacuum does a pretty good job of cleaning pet hair and dirt from carpet. I had been vacuuming with a shop vac and thought my rugs were fairly clean, but the Hoover with the spinning brushes managed to pull out a lot more dirt that I missed. Emptying the canister is straightforward. I take it outside and blow it with a leaf blower. I can't imagine getting it sufficiently clean any other way without using water. Overall it's a marvel of engineering that performs its job very well, but with a couple very obvious design blunders that renders it a bit awkward to use.Randal

We plan to return, after a couple uses by me and my cleaning lady. There are too many settings to keep adjusting between for hard wood floor, soft carpet and a variety of area rugs. The main vacuum does not work well on hard wood floors, so need to use alternate head which has a brush around the edges. The brush catches our pet hair (which you then need to manually pull off) so I'm not even sure the vaccuum is actually doing most of the work, versus the brush bristles holding the fur. None of the combinations of settings work well on our loomed wool rug from Ethan Allen. It is just a standard rug, nothing crazy.KMZ

I have two small spaniels that shed so I literally vacuum top to bottom (3300 sq. feet) at least 5 times a week. I used to go through a vacuum yearly or at best every other year. After a lot of frustration trying to find a vacuum that would last I learned about the Miele brand. I have had my canister vacuum for FIVE years now and it works as well as the first day I bought it. Miele is top of the line wonderful! Some people have told me they are good for at least 20 years…if that's true what I thought was an expensive price tag will become very inexpensive. The suction is outstanding, they have a wide selection of cleaning tools which I love. The vacuum bag itself keeps microscopic dust and allergens trapped inside so even my husband who suffers from asthma has noticed the difference. Worth every dollar I spent!sheila.m

The Shark Rotator Lift-Away DuoClean Pro really impresses and will surely take care of all your cleaning needs. Out of the box, the Shark comes nicely packaged with easy to understand quick assembly guide. Fully assembled, the vacuum is heavier than my current Shark by about 5-6lbs, but my current model (the Rotator Powered Lift-Away Speed) is meant to be lighter. While it is heavier, it still maneuvers like a nimble sports car in and around furniture. The swivel joint that connects the handle to the floor unit makes vacuuming an ease and kind of fun. Put on some music and clean to the tunes! The lift away function allows you to cut some of the weight should you need to clean furniture, stairs, or other tight areas. The suction on this vacuum is amazing. Just like with my previous model, you really have no clue how dirty your carpet is until you over it with the Shark. What appears in the canister is SHOCKING. While the size of the canister is pretty standard, at less than 1/2 gallon, it can fill up without reducing suction. When full, emptying the canister is simple. There's no twisting or turning, just pushing a simple release latch button to disconnect the canister from the vacuum and then pushing another button at the bottom of the canister where all of the dirt and debris cleanly falls into the trash bin. This vacuum works so well that you'll likely need to empty it multiple times, but that's a good thing because you know you're getting things cleaner! The LED lights are another excellent feature of this Shark. They provide bright lights at almost floor level. Because of their low angle, you'll be able to see things on the floor that you weren't able to see with overhead lights alone. The DuoClean brush (standard vacuum brush + the hard floor brush) really improves this model over my previous vacuum. I have both carpets, rugs, and hard wood floors. While my previous vacuum did an excellent job at carpets, it wasn't so great at hard wood floors. It's powerful suction would suck in any debris, but hardwood floors can be dusty. Even using the carpet brush didn't completely clean the floors. With this this models hard floor brush, it actually buffs and dusts the hard wood floors while also sucking in any loose debris! This makes me so happy because no one really enjoys having to sweep or mop in addition to vacuuming. Lastly, the Power Pet Brush is great–especially for those with pets. Despite my best efforts, my cat will inevitably crawl on uncovered parts of the couch. After not much time at all, his hair becomes entangled and weaved into the fabric of the couch. I'm still baffled how this happens, but it does. Brushing and sucking alone is not sufficient to remove these hairs. However, the Power Pet Brush's suction and vigorous active brush roll get my furry friends leftovers off the couch so that it looks brand new. If you have pets, you know what I'm talking about and this tool will be your new best friend! In conclusion, I love this vacuum. It makes cleaning easy, effective, and efficient! It will be an excellent addition to your household. Vaccuum itself picks up debris great. I received a broken model where the wand doesn't release/click back in appropriately. I contacted Shark, as there is supposed to be a 5 year warranty – but this doesn't cover the wand defect. Because I didn't use the wand feature or realize this in the first 2 months of use , it was too late to return and Shark customer service wouldn't replace the wand part. This thing is amazing. I bought to replace my 7 year old shark vacuum. While my old shark worked great, I figured it was time to upgrade to something targeted toward homes with pets. It amount of dirt it pulls from the carpet is incredible just like any shark vacuum. The bonus is the way it deals with pet hair. I haven't had a problem with cat (or human) hair getting stuck in the primary roller. The plush roller on the front is great for hardwood floors and I was shocked just how gross it can get even when the house is cleaned multiple times a week. It's like a magnet for dirt! I got this on sale during black friday and was easily the best impulse purchase I made last year. You won't be disappointed if you get this! I love every Shark product I've owned or gifted to someone else so had high expectations for this stick vac. I have been searching for a good robot vacuum for quite a long time since I'm unable to manage heavy vacuuming any more but none of the independent review articles give high marks to a robot that fits my needs so I turned to light stick vacs for a solution. I love this product. It meets my high expectations for a Shark and with daily 10 minute use on high traffic areas I can keep up with shedding from my medium haired cat in the carpet. The cord is long enough to cover the area and at my age, a cord doesn't bother me at all. The unit and accessories are stored in a closet without an outlet so a cordless vac isn't practical for me. If I have any criticism it's the size of the canister. One does have to take into account the reason I made this purchase, a super lightweight vac to clean cat hair from my carpet, and it makes perfect sense. I simply attach a small trash bag to carry with me in case I need to empty the canister.Shelley

Easy to carry, lightweight. I really do love this vaccum. It has pulled up a lot of dirt and hair from the carpets my rainbow couldn't pick up. I mainly have hard wood floors throughout my house now, with 1 carpeted area and a couple rugs. It's been very handy and picks up a lot. Cons: It lost suction after a year because the tube in the main basehead had cracked with normal use. Customer service could only offer to sell me the main basehead for over 75% of what I paid for the vacuum. This particular part, the tube; is not listed on Shark's website as a "wearable part" nor available. So I wonder why it is not covered by the 5 year limited warrenty? This is the main complaint I have read about that has happend to many others who also purchased the Shark Rocket. I had to do some searching for a tube replacement and we finally found one, then replaced it ourselves. If you do buy this vaccum, I would reccomend paying for extra coverage from the store purchase at as the 5 year limited warrenty is usless for this particular part and issue.Asp84

My husband bought this Shark Rocket for me in hopes of replacing my Dyson Animal with something lighter for quick, daily vacuuming, but it’s not up to the task. First of all, though the Rocket isn’t as big or as heavy as my old vacuum, all of its weight is at the top; the dust bin and motor are connected to the hand-hold, which means my wrist and hand have to support the bulk of its weight. Because the weight isn’t distributed, the small brush is unwieldy – too light to easily control regardless of how much pressure I attempt to push it with. I’m not a weakling, lol, but my arm gets tired FAST. Secondly, there is no way to turn off the roller brush and use just suction on hard surfaces. I have to move really slowly in sweeping the hardwoods, or else the Shark spits crumbs and other debris out the back. Moving slowly = holding the heavy motor/dust bin/handle for longer = even more tired hand/wrist/shoulder. Speaking of the roller brush, it clogs with dog hair and stops rolling after ONE pass over the 5×7 area rug in our seating area; I have to turn off the vacuum and cut the hair from the brush at least four times just in sweeping the one rug (we have two dogs, but I sweep every day, so I’m not asking it to vacuum a week’s worth of hair at once). It’s VERY frustrating. More negatives about this Shark Rocket: 1. It doesn’t stand on its own. If I need to stop sweeping in the middle of the job for any reason, I have to lay the vacuum on the floor, or prop it up against a piece of furniture. I still haven’t figured out how to store it. 2. The cord is also attached to the handle, and gets in the way of dumping the dust bin. 3. The attachments are difficult to use because they attach to the motor/dust bin/handle piece either directly or via a 12” hose, meaning I have to continue to hold the heaviest part of the vacuum while trying to manipulate the tools. 4. Though the brush part of the vacuum is small enough to adequately sweep the carpeted steps, I have to either lift the whole thing up, turn it backwards, and dangle the brush in front of the risers, or fight with the inconvenient and unwieldy attachments to get those areas. I’d say it takes twice as long for me to sweep using this than it does the old, clunky Dyson – definitely not making my life easier. I actually hate this vacuum, and would have returned it after the first use had my husband not thrown out the box it came on. Two hundred bucks for this useless thing.OhioMichelle

I clean houses for a living, and this is perfect for my needs. Great suction, it's lightweight, and the strap/ handle make for easy maneuvering. Great long cord, I was not interested in cordless because the life span on the batteries does not hold up – especially over time. This is my third purchase of this vacuum over the years and obviously I love it. Light weight and a dynamo cleaner it is also perfect for anyone with a limited weight carrying they can tolerate. The second vacuum was being used and abused by another person so the poor thing's motor died. BUT I immediately went on-line to find a replacement. I am absolutely in love with this vacuum from its impeccable features and cleaning. From unboxing to setting up was a breeze, had it running in all of 5 minutes. It feels like a heavier vacuum (but that to me feels like quality) it doesn't make it hard to push or maneuver, it has an adjustable suction control right by the handle if you feel it's hard to push you can adjust that. The swiveling vacuum head is amazing and comes in so very handy. It has a very large dirt cup, I can vacuum 4 rooms before needing to empty, maybe more I haven't tried that yet. Emptying the dirt cup is so easy just hold it over the trash can and tap the release button and va-la that's a wrap. Both filters are so easy to clean too the pre motor filter you just take the sponge part off rinse out with water let it dry for 24 hours and put it back on and it's that easy. The exhaust filter you just remove and tap it on the in side of your trash can until you see no more dust and that's a wrap, both very simple to clean. I love the push button start button right at your hands, very convenient and the push button brush roll, so you can turn the roller brush off if you want to sweep a bare or hard wood floor, or a floor with say little scatter, it makes it such a breeze. I absolutely love that the attachments go on the handle, there's a handle release and they just pop on there and you can get up high with such a breeze, and down low. You get a crevice tool a dusting brush and a pet upholstery tool, all you'll ever need, & they all attach on board this vacuum and stay without moving around or falling off. So I have attached three photos and had 2 videos I wanted to add but I guess it doesn't work the way I thought with the videos (darn it). I think everyone should own this vacuum I know you won't be disappointed between the impeccable features and impeccable cleaning it's a definite WIN-WIN!!! It also has an extra long cord that lets you cover a lot of floor and rooms at once. This vacuum I amazing and I own 5 cats and have allergies, and no dust blew around out of the vacuum like most do, it didn't bother my allergies a bit. I am using this vacuum for the last three weeks and really impressed with its versatility and suction power. Apart from the common features, the sealed allergen system with a true HEPA filter is an uncommon and one of the best feature of this pet vacuum. Pros: Very good Suction power – Excellent suction power even with thick carpets. The power is too strong such that most of the time there is no need to clean the brush roll, every dust and hair will be sucked into the dirt cup. Versatility – It comes with three extra accessories and multi floor compatible brush roller. The rubber like strips on the upholstery tool is works very well in removing pet hair. Swell steering helps to clean corners of floor. The long wand and extendable hose helps to reach every nook and corners of the roof and under the furniture. Sealed allergen system – Usually there were only one washable filter in normal vacuum cleaners which is not enough to filter out micro dust and odor which leaves a suffocating environment after vacuum. But this vacuum cleaner have a normal washable filter and an exhaust filter which is a real HEPA filter with odor absorbing element. This leaves the room fresh after vacuum. Cons: Loud – This vacuum is a bit louder than other comparable vacuums. Lot of attachment/detachment points – The presence of two filters, removable wand and different tools leaves a lot of attachment points in the vacuum cleaner which may affect the efficiency of sealed allergen system.Butler
