We have an an above ground pool. The small vacuum that came with it broke and parts are, of course, back ordered. We saw this ad and after reviewing the return policy in case we didn't like it, ordered it. From the minute we saw it we were pretty excited but when we finished the first charge and used it we totally FELL IN LOVE with this product, especially the large capacity. It is so easy to use and picks up basically everything. Our pool had considerable algae from not having a vacuum for a couple of weeks but after 2 or 3 uses this picked up 95%! I got this because I thought "there has to be a better way" since we just brush every couple of days. We have an in ground pool, a weekly cleaning with this keeps the bottom clear. The little vacuum robot you leave in the pool just never worked properly for us- it always got stuck in one corner. This vacuum is amazing and keeps the pool clean! This item does only last about 30 minutes, which is why I knocked off a star. It also needs to get cleaned (the filter) frequently during use, which gets less frequent if you're consistent with vacuuming (less to clean up). A better battery life would make this much more convenient.Caro
I had my reservations about this item before making the purchase. However I will tell you this little vacuum is great. I can not believe what it vacuums out of the pool. I have a 22x 7 inground pool, This vacuum can clean the entire pool in a matter of minutes. I was shocked at how useful this product is and how well it is designed. It comes with plastic poles but I used my skimmer aluminum pole which attached directly to this Pool Blaster. The battery lasts pretty long between charges. The filter element catches sand leaves and dirt. The unit comes apart for easy cleaning. I am impressed so far. I have used it several times now and it has accomplished what i need it to do. It does not replace a vac that scrubs or one that is robotic, however for general cleaning of quick spot cleaning this thing is worth every penny. Th only thing I wish it had was a hook to hang it. The first one that was delivered to my home was missing a piece and I called customer service and a replacement was sent out asap. I got it today and I love this thing. If you go slowly as you are sucking in the sediment on the bottom of the tub it will not move away from the vac as some reviews state. After you pull the plunger back life it slowly away from the area you are working on and pump the water back in the tub the gunk will stay in the filter. Then slowly lower it again to the area you are working on and you will get great results. Moving too quickly will make the debris fly away. Move slowly and it will work great! Picked up every bit of sediment on the spa floor and now it is all nice and clean. I really love the way it works as long as you go slowly I am sure you will have great results also.Kipper
I have used wand vacuums like this before and this particular brand is not the best. Seems to be well built, but I have only been using it for a couple of weeks now. One issue I have with it, is that it doesn't want to pick up the smaller particles of dirt on the bottom of my hot tubs. Maybe the little flaps inside have too big an opening, so the small debris falls back out? The Intex 28620EP is perfect for removing small particles from the floor of our outdoor spa. Since it has NiMH batteries instead of Lithium, it is priced lower and it has enough suction to pick up the debris in its path. It comes with a regular filter and two sock-like bags for capturing very fine particles. It also comes with an extendable pole which lets me reach everywhere in the spa, and it comes with two head attachments for moving around different terrain and angles. It does not come with a charging source, just a USB type cable to connect to a phone or other charging block. Charging takes 6 – 8 hours, and run time is reportedly only about 20 minutes, but that's long enough: I've used it 3 times so far but I'm done in about 10 minutes so it's never run out of power too soon. You do need to move it slowly so as not to stir up the debris, and the power comes on only when it has been submerged and the power switch is on. It is very quiet so you have to watch it work rather than hear it. After years of having difficulty getting the floor of our spa clean, this little unit has made me wish I found it a long time ago.cyberclg
I was worried about this having NiMh batteries instead of LiOn batteries, but I have been using this to clean my Spa for over a month and have not had to recharge yet. I did fully charge it overnight before the first use. I was also worried about the suction power, because I saw several bad reviews about it. It has great suction power, at least when I leave attachments off (I haven't tried them because I want a small focus point for small areas). It pics up all the small particles in all the corners as well as larger leaves. It turns on only when submerged to protect the pump. It is very easy to clean. The telescoping handle makes it easy to reach everywhere in my spa. Love it! I made sure to directly take it out to use after charging it when the light was green showing it’s ready to suck. Pun intended. I have a 10×20’ intex pool and it took about a half hour or so to cover it completely but picked up the dirt and debris. Make sure when you are going for removing algae to put the white sleeve over the black one. You insert the white sleeve into the black one first and make sure the thicker part of the rim of the white one extends completely below where the black ones rubber rim ends otherwise it doesn’t make a good deal when you place them together into the end of the vacuum. I purchased the jpv200 from Leslie’s pool supply in Beaumont and it works great for my 18’ above ground pool. The only downfall is the filter is supposed to be washable and reusable but after only 2 uses the filter started to unravel and just kinda lose its shape? I’m not sure really how to explain it but I have been trying to buy a new one and it is impossible to get a hold of anyone to order one and the store said they don’t have them. Without the filter the vacuum is useless. So in my opinion if your going to buy this make sure you can find a extra filter first. Other than that it is a great productMelissa
I love the vacuum , The problem im having is finding the replacement filter bag . I called the store . The suggested checking the website , checked the website cannot find the filter bag . spoke with customer service they suggested ordering it directly from the manufacturer. 30 mins later still trying to find a replacement bag . To be honest, I did buy this for use in my in ground pool which is not the intended use. However, I had a similar vaccine that lasted 3 years for the same use, so I had an idea of how well it may work. Unfortunately, although the vacuum battery lasts a while, the suction is not as effective as expected. It blew the dirt out and around more than it cleaned. The filter needed reinforcement to stay in place after a few uses. Since the other vacuum still works and only the brush portion had deteriorated due to use, I was able to simply use this vacuum’s brush on my other vacuum. It may be better used in a spa or small pool with minimal debris.
First of all the cheaply made very low duty plastic pole is useless as there is no additional support on the vacuum. This makes the vacuum wobble and at one point the plastic pole will break. Even with a metal pole the vacuum wobbles as there is a design error. Secondly, when lifting the vacuum, the water can freely eject and the dirt falls back into the pool. You will need to knee down and lift the vacuum with hand, turning the device upside down, to avoid all the dirt to fall back into the pool. Very poorly designed. Will return mine tomorrow. Update: Got one pf the Intex models for about 60 bucks and tjey are better designed, at least have a non return flap valve so thst the dirt can‘t fall back in the pool and similar suction power.Las V. Opening pool after not really taking care of it over winter — I'm blaming ***.anwho Wife and I have suffered through previous years keeping pool clean with ones that hookup to the pool filters. We have one of those larger Intex steel frame (12000 Gal) style pools so we know with the pump you get what you pay for (to be fair the pump works fine for the pool). It was always a hassle even as I'd upgrade connecters etc. So this year with the pool a mess and we started "cleaning" 1 hour later and wife and I just starting to boil I'm like fudge it, there has to be a better way. Found this bad boy. 100% worth it for us. Is it the best thing ever, no. Is the thing to clean your above ground medium size pool. Yes. Does it have a few "issues" with letting stuff out when you pull out of water. Of course, but you still got a lot more out. I find if I power it off under water and hold the front end up before taking it out (hard to do when on the stick, but once again I digress) there is very minimal spill back. In the end what went from a multi-person marriage destroying activity to a very easy one person (not me) way to clean the pool. Battery is long enough that outside of cleaning up a winter mess should be fine for your average cleaning cycle. The only fault would be for the really stuck on algae we have to go in the brush. If it had a way to have a hard flat brush for algae build up, well I don't know what more I could ask for at this price.JustBill

I bought this and loved it so much that I just ordered 2 more. I was afraid they would stop making them. That always seems to happen to me. I find something I like and then it gets discontinued. We have an 18' round above ground pool. I had been using the pool vaccum that came with the pool when we bought it last year. Its a heavy, cumbersome long hose that connects to the filter on one end, and the cleaning pole with head on the other end. Well, never again will I have to endure that prehistoric cleaning tool. This little pool vacuum is AMAZING. I charge it with a USB. It snaps right together in seconds. I have 2 cracked vertebrae and this vac is so lightweight! I turn it on and its very quiet. Sometimes I have to put my ear near it to see if its on. This mighty little vaccum sucks up leaves, sand, dirt, everything in the bottom of the pool, except for huge leaves and twigs. All the gunk goes into its own basket filter. When Im done I empty the basket filter just like you would empty a bagless vaccuum cleaner. So my pool filter lasts longer because all this gunk is not even entering it, like it used to with the old prehistoric vaccum. I can vacuum the entire pool perfectly in 20 minutes flat. Its so easy. Its cordless too. I usually dont write reviews but I had to express my satisfaction with this item. If you have a bad back, trouble lifting heavy items, etc then this is the product for you. This little vacuum works great. It gets all that little stuff around the edges and behind the ladder from the bottom of your pool. I was spectacle to buy at first, due to the price, didn't think it would work that great. I'm glad I was wrong. Our pool isn't able to connect a vacuum to the filter so this is perfect for it. Secondly, the work that you have to do to pick up just a few leaves or dirt is not worth the effort of pushing and pulling to get the vacuum to work. What a piece of JUNK!!!!!!!! It lasted only 3 months with once a week usage. Took 2 months to get then to refuse to take it back. Thats right. They get so many returns they now send you a replacement battery/motor that you reinstall yourself. That only lasted 3 more uses. They said I would get a ONE TIME ONLY replacement battery/motor. So after it broke I complained to BBB for Fraud. They now say oh okay we will send you a new blaster MAX but ONE TIME ONLY. Our new filter spewed around 30lbs. of sand into our new pool. I read the reviews about this particular model vacuum and decided to give it a try. I received the vacuum cleaner as described. I opened the box and assembled the unit. I pressed the power button and it went on. In my eagerness to use it, I attached the pool net pole I have to it and it fit like a glove. THIS THING IS AWESOME!!!! In a little less than one hour it removed all of the sand right out of the box without having to recharge it. The only thing I didn't like was having to empty it several times because the filter bag is small. I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner without any reservations. I cannot give this any stars. 1. It came with no directions, so I don't know if it OK to start it out of the water, for example. 2. It will not shut off unless I stick the charger into the hole. 3. The charger is extremely difficult to get all the way in so it can charge. I used to have the blue one like this and it was great, but it wore out after many years. I love this vacuum for my 10' x 30" Intex pool !! Someone reviewed that the suction isn't much, but let me tell you, this does a GREAT job in cleaning any debris on the bottom of my pool. As with any pool vacuum, you just have to go slowly. I have a pine tree over the pool (it was the only space I could put the pool) , so it gets a lot of stuff from that tree. Description leads one to believe this is 2" x 42L"plus the 8' discharge hose. I have a friend that has one similar that is 2" in diameter and drains my hot tub fast between cabin rentals. The max diameter on this thing is 3/4" and does not perform nothing like my friends. It's probably fine for small vac jobs but I ordered it thinking it was 2" diameter.
