The extension hose is hardly long enough. The attachment to get under furniture has no maneuverability to the point you need to get down on your hands and knees to use it. The latch on the base to change the angle is made of plastic and needs to be pushed several times to work… it's a matter of time before it breaks. And this is standard to all models. I was unable to release it with my foot and had to bend over and use my hand to adjust the vacuum. To use the wand, you need to disconnect the hose from the electrical cable. The brush attached to the wand makes the wand/hose heavier than it should be to use.Unsatisfied customer

I like the tools that come with this vacuum. There is a detail tool, dusting tool, and a tool for stairs with a rotating brush that picks up everything. It's so easy to switch out the tools and clean faster. The handle bar stretches far so I was able to use the detail tool to get spider webs from the ceiling and the duster tool to reach and clean the vents up high. You really have to clean your vents. I also used the detail tool to get on top of my door frames and the corners of rooms and stairs. Then I popped on the stair tool and finished the stairs. It made cleaning very fast and easy. This vacuum also has a spinning brush for carpets that is great because it helps pick up stuff deep down in the carpet. You can turn it off when on bare floors. It is amazing at picking up pet hair. It took no effort collecting a bunch of hair from my stairs and carpet. The only downside I can think of is that it is heavier than my last vacuum which makes carrying it upstairs harder but that's all. This is one of those purchases where you will be astounded by the performance compared to your initial expectations. As soon as removed the vacuum from the box, my expectations started to sink into my stomach a bit. The vacuum was light, and I thought to myself, "oh no, another cheap piece of plastic". Assembly though, was simple and easy. No tools required, which is great! As simple as plug and play. Within minutes, I was ready to test drive. Again, at first glance, you are definitely thinking this is a cheap, plastic vacuum. It even feels kind of cheap as you turn the selector to the appropriate height of your carpet. But through a couple of uses, i noticed this, with the handle in the upright positions, the selector moves quite freely, giving that cheap feeling, but with the handle down in the position ready to use, the knob now has the tension of vacuum's adjustment positions. You can select Hard, Low, Medium, and High. This took me a few uses to get use to, and it will you as well, because the performance depends on having this adjusted correctly. I found that too low, and the vacuum was dragging across the carpet, which made it feel heavy to push. But too high, and you were not getting that deep down clean that you want. So I highly suggest giving a few turns on different positions to see what works best for you. With that being said though, once you plug this vacuum in and turn it on, you will know why it is called the Pet Max. The powerful engine soon made up for those sinking expectations. After a few rows of vacuuming, and adjusting the height, I started to see a major difference in the performance of this vacuum compared to my higher end vacuum. The brush is amazing, it pulls from deep in the carpets to extract pesky pet hair. I was amazed, and appalled at the pet hair it was starting to collect in the container. Which by the way, is a blessing. My wife and I have 4 fur babies, dogs to be exact. And they range from short hair to long hair. And all the rooms that have carpet in them, we would have to empty the container after every room. The pet max comes with a large debris container, and the powerful engine delivers cyclonic action no matter how full it gets! That is literally the best part about the vacuum. No matter how full the container got, the performance did not lessen at all! I was very pleased with this purchase. And I almost forgot, the vacuum comes with two hepa filters!!!!! Honestly haven’t had any major complaints about the vacuum. We do have kids so we use it probably every other day to 2 days. It’s a compact vacuum which is a plus. The one tiniest complaint I’d have is after going back and forth a couple times there are some items that you would think the vacuum would pick up, but doesn’t. Instead, I use the detachable wand for those odd pieces. I should clarify, the vacuum has picked up 99% of what is seen on the carpet. It’s just those random odd stragglers and it doesn’t happen every time. As for our tiles, I just use the wand to pick up anything necessary then jet swift it but that’s a different product.GL

To start off I would have to say that the Dirt Devil Endura Max Upright vacuum is a high quality performing product. There is very great suction when it comes to pet hair and even popcorn in the carpet that my child had spilled. The spinning brush is adjustable to many settings. Such as bare floor to higher profile carpet. It does a great job of pulling dirt and hair out of my medium profile carpet. It isn't to heavy so when I use the extended hose handle I can carry it from place to place. One thing in was not a fan of was the multi dusting piece. It was a little to bulky to fit into my window seal to get that dirt out. The smaller end was also not long and thin enough to fit into my dryer vent. The dusting piece also added extra unnecessary bulk. It is a nice concept but it isn't as great as the individual pieces. Other than my opinion on the duster, I really enjoy and love my Dirt Devil Endura Max Upright vacuum. If you are contemplating this purchase, I recommend you try this product. Other than marrying my ex husband, buying this vacuum was the worst decision of my life. It is bulky and cheap plastic. Extremely loud and makes my arm go numb from all of the vibration! It has a "hardwood" setting but the brush still spins in that setting, which can scratch the hardwood. I was excited about the pet brush attachment, but is doesn't really work since the attachment will NOT stay on the hose or in the attachment holder, for that matter. It does not have much suction, I feel running a lint brush over the carpet would pick up more! I won't even give this vaccum away because I wouldn't want anyone to hate me!BBB Customer

For a long time I was considering returning this vacuum. The only reason I haven't is because it works well enough and I don't have the time to go vacuum hunting. It's an okay vacuum but it is literally just okay. The suction is good but after a little while the vacuum becomes hard to push. It does pick up a lot of dirt, dust and hair though. The hose suction is terrible and practically nonexistent. I used the hose to vacuum up a spider which, with my old vacuum, would have killed it. But this vacuum didn't kill it and it somehow escaped (I got it the next day with a shoe but really, it's that easy for them to escape??). Also the attachments will not stay on the vacuum AT ALL so I have to keep them in a bag. The cord is long, but too long. Even if you leave it wound, it often falls off the hooks while vacuuming and gets in the way.JustAGirlFromSomeplace

This vacuum was purchased by my household less about 10 months ago and it's already broken. I have used it almost daily, so it's gotten a lot of use. Worked great at first, but had to replace belts at least once a month because they kept breaking. I was using the vacuum at the correct setting for carpet height, however it kept switching to bare floor mode by itself. I wasn't sure how that was happening. Also, the top part of the handle cracked in half, which I believe is due to design flaw. When you are pushing the vacuum, this seemed to be the point that would bear the most weight and it's the thinnest part of the handle. It's good if you are in need of a vacuum on a budget, but don't expect it to last long.kristywink

Seriously, this thing is epic. Still mostly plastic on the exteripr, but, unlike cheaper vacuums, this has a but of quality and detail to it. The quality of plastics is higher, the quality of molds and designing are better too. This thing is no louder than any other vacuum I have ever owned, with the brush ruler off. But, turn that on (it can be disengaged on the fly with a foot pedal fit quick switching between carpet and hardwood floors – nice), and it is rather loud. You definitely know those brushes are spinning. I am fine with that, but some may be snowflakes about noise (or have sleeping babies – I understand not wanting THIS vacuum if you have a baby and relish a little nap time). If you aren't whisper-thirsty… THIS Vacuum will suck the ghosts out of a haunted carpet. I literally only have two rooms with carpet and a hallway, yet this sucker nearly filled its canister on the FIRST use! Seriously, I pulled up enough dirt, dust, sand dander, and dog fur that I ended up with about two pounds of filth to dump once I was done (and I only vacuumed the master bedroom and hall!!!). Very powerful, light and maneuverable, the brush is driven by a separate motor, seams like a great design, but the brush allows hair to get right into the Barrings!!! I removed and cleaned the brush after 2nd use, found that some pet and human hair had gotten into the Barring, melted the barring cap and housing. the third use the brush stopped before i was done as it was bound up. I only used it for the upstairs of my house. I'll call support to try to get another brush, but how long will the last? after years of well designed brushes, WHAT Happened? were they lasting too long?DAVID

My little dog sheds an unbelievable amount of fur. I use this throughout my home. The best things about this product are: 1) strong motor; 2) it's lightweight; 3) the attachment hose is long enough that the vacuum doesn't collapse when in use; 3) disassembling the unit to clean is very easy, assembling is also very easy. I bought a well-advertised competitive pet vacuum during the pandemic shutdown. It caused me nothing but grief. I don't have the strong hands of a 20-year old any longer, so I dreaded having to clean the canister. There were times I broke into tears of frustration because I just didn't have the strength to move the parts in the same directions. (I put that product up on the neighborhood website "for sale" section, reducing my purchase price by 2/3. Still no takers.) I need a clean house. Having purchased two Dyson handhelds in the past, I thought I would give Hoover a try this time around (as I do own a pull around canister Hoover that I've had since 2007 and its been awesome) . Unfortunately, I am left disappointed. If you want a vacuum that won't suck up the smallest of crumbs but rather push them around and shoot them out in every direction causing you more work, clogs up with little to no dust particles constantly, and then get zero help or back up from their customer support, then this is the vacuum for you! Because the vacuum couldn't be returned to store once it was used, I contacted the company directly. They proceeded to copy and paste their "de-clogging" instructions, and then ignored the rest of my emails. I am capable of reading a manual and this didn't help me what-so-ever. I cannot believe they actually advertise this as a PET model, because I am using it for much less dirty jobs than pet hair and/or litter, etc. and it's essentially useless. The only good thing I have found about it is the dual batteries and the battery life. However, that isn't very helpful alone when the vacuum doesn't do its job properly. Unfortunately due to the lack of support from Hoover itself, I will not be purchasing any more of their products or recommending to anyone else.kmitschke

I am quite impressed with my new vacuum. Every detail of it seems well thought out which means a lot in this day and age. It really seems to be built to last a long time. All the electronic parts are protected. I really appreciate the brushless "digital" motor. Every little detail is engineered like the battery and charger LED animations syncing together. It came with a silent 4-amp fast charger that charges fully in one hour. This is even including that it waits to charge the battery until it is the optimal temp so it doesn't degrade faster. Each battery and the whole vacuum have a three year limited warranty. The batteries have built-in smart BMS's that communicate with the vacuum and charger to make sure the cells are within their optimal ranges. I noticed the wheels are multi-piece with rubber tread unlike other vacuums I've seen. The whole vacuum is quite simple and intuitive. The phone customer service was some of the best I've ever had. The packaging was recyclable, even the plastic bags. The regular mode seems to clean better than our old corded Shark vacuum and the boost mode is crazy and like suctions it to the carpet. It gets a whopping 9 minutes of run time on boost mode though. The brushroll head is like 3/4 the width of the Shark's so you have to do more lines. The brushroll motor stopped many times to cool down today while I was vacuuming our nasty apartment's carpet. I needed to swap batteries a few times. I charged the other battery while I was using the other. I got the second battery for free as a promotion and it's very needed. Being a cordless stick vacuum is really quite nice but while it can go all the way under couches the weight is located where your hand is which makes it feel a lot heavier than it is. The hours of online research I did was definitely worth it. It would've been a five-star review but Hoover/FedEx's communication on the payment and shipping was very non-existent. Did lots of research on many different brands/types of battery powered handheld vacuums for auto and coffee cart cleaning. I roast my own coffee, addicted to espresso daily and those things can be a bit messy at times. This vacuum makes very short/efficient work of cleaning everything I put it through. I could tell just by unboxing it that the build quality is outstanding just based on the feel of the materials used, let alone actually charging/using it. The system is very well thought out with every possible attachment needed for all sorts of mild/moderate cleaning jobs. Very compact to get into the most confined areas too. The filtration system is as efficient as advertised as it never loses suction and the actual filter stays spotless due to the design. Super easy to empty the filter container with no mess/inconvenience. Have seen a few complaints in reviews regarding the battery capacity and yes it does fade when being pushed on MAX cleaning, but it does a great/quick job nonetheless. People should understand you simply can't have MAX performance/capacity simultaneously… Both battery packs give good runtime for the use I put it through and charge in a reasonable amount of time and don't experience any sort of low self-discharge when sitting on a shelf unused for any realistic period of time. Nice to have the option to buy more packs as these age as we have had to toss other brands when the battery fades due to it NOT being user serviceable and just dies. Last point I will make is the awesome design of the powered brush roller as it works very well at various angles and being able to remove the brush roller for easy cleaning is ingenious. This unit's low profile head gets under mostly every piece of furniture. After putting my almost 25 year old Kenmore canister down, I was reluctant to buy another one knowing how cheaply things are made these days. It's lighter and smaller. It has a lot of sucking power. I don't like how the attachments hook on to the wand and the floor brush gets to go into the canister. The carpet attachment is much the same and works great on carpet, but not as good on the floor. The floor brush is very small and futuristic looking. I wish I would have kept my old one. Overall, I'm happy.CJ

Ordered this bundle for such a great deal! Unfortunately, the item was delivered to the wrong address by FedEx. Totally not Hoover's fault. They re-shipped another bundle to me, and it worked out well the second time. I love these vacuums! They do a great job on our hardwoods and rugs and carpet. Our two year old loves to help vacuum too – that's how light the stick vacuum is! Being cordless is such a plus!!! Only wish that the batteries weren't so expensive, but that's not a huge deal. We purchased one extra battery just so both the handheld and stick have their own batteries. I will say that the handheld is far inferior to the stick, but it works for what we need (to do the stairs and our cars) – just have to go over the same areas multiple times, as the suction isn't stellar. I would recommend and purchase the stick vacuum again for sure… just probably not the handheld.Moon

I bought this cordless vac because I like any conveniences I can get when it comes to house work. I use my floor cleaners more often when cordless. I can glady skip wrapping/unwrapping, plugging/unplugging cords in and out of electrical outlets from room to room. I've been happy with this cordless since I got it last July (not quite one year old). It was an upgrade overall from what I had. However the hose got a hole in it not about 6-7 months in. Not from anything I could figure out. I duct taped it and after a second hole, I contacted the Manufacturer, since it's still within a 3 year warranty. They said the hose is not made anymore – already out of making the parts??? They will replace it — okay, — but I have to mail the whole vac back on my dime. They will pay for the shipment of the new unit. Which may be kinda fair, but it's too soon for this type of episode with a not quite a year old vacuum. Since the parts are not being made – there's no commitment to this product by the mfr. I did not buy at this store, but thought I would let someone know if considering — please don't do it.Chickee

I was going back and forth between this and the shark navigator cordless. They seemed pretty even on reviews. I mostly decided on this because it's was on sale on the Hoover website! I had to wait a little longer to get it then I would from other sites(about 5 days from the day I ordered it) but it was worth the price difference for sure. I was worried about it as I have 4 dogs. A great dane(high shedder short hair), a Mini Aussie( How shedder clumpy hair), a King Shepherd(high shedder clumpy long hair) and a Cheweenie(high shedder short hair. I also have a maine coon cat. So, I essentially have lots of hair everywhere, all the time. I do NOT know how this performs on carpers because I bought it for my wood floors( bathrooms(2), hallway, entryway, dining room, and kitchen.) So far it has worked great for me. I have had ZERO clog issues despite the amount of hair it has to pick up and I have been able to vacuum all the above mentioned rooms in one swoop without the battery going dead. It picks everything up easily. I actually accidentally sucked up a good size piece of paper today and really though it would cause my first clog, but atlas it didn't. So far this vacuum is performing perfectly for me. I think the only downside I can think of as of now is the fact that a replacement battery is 100$. However, there are off brand batteries other places that are compatible with this vacuum for half the price, and the reviews on them state that they actually work better than the original hoover battery… So, I will probably just go that route whenever I need a new battery. If you want a cordless for wood (or any non carpeted) floors, this one is definitely recommended. And it does hold up against that pet hair!Ameri5

This Kenmore vacuum is a piece of Junk. I would give it zero stars but that is not an option. We had a Kenmore vacuum that was awesome for 20 years before it finally died. We thought we could buy the Kenmore BC4026 as a replacement. Wrong. The vacuum has been redesigned with none of the utility of our previous vacuum. The BC4026 is bulky and heavy making it difficult to get in tight to reach places. The end of the wand has a huge locking mechanism for attachments, which makes it impossible to vacuum along baseboards. I used our old Kenmore to vacuum the car interior, but the BC4026's handle is huge which makes it cumbersome to reach tight car interior spaces. Also, the hose swivel that attaches to the vacuum is not the L-shaped fitting shown on the box, so it does not swivel and keep a low profile like it should. This make maneuvering and storage of the vacuum difficult. They have plastic fittings on the BC4026's telescoping wand that make it difficult to extend. The old design was much better. Our old Kenmore vacuum was smaller and more streamlined with the same vacuum power making it more functional and a better design than the BC4026. Bottom line is that the BC4026 was not designed for its intended purpose of being a household vacuum.Michael

Overall this is a decent canister vacuum but the motorized vacuum head is of an ackward design. In order to vacuum more than a foot under furniture, you have to get down on your knees and move the motorized head in arcs left and right; the joint at which it attaches to the control handle prevents it from moving straight ahead without tilting up so that the agitator and suction end no longer makes contact with the carpet. If you move it to the left, the head may detach due to a poorly designed release lever on the left side; designed to make it easy to remove with your foot but making vacuuming under a bed a long and difficult process to get full coverage. I found myself having to reach repeatedly under the bed to retrieve the disconnected head. I was able to modify that release lever slightly by tightening the screw that attaches it but it is still an arduous task to vacuum under a bed; which was the main reason we bought a canister vacuum! You have to sweep in arcs and make sure you get coverage. This would be difficult for someone who has trouble laying down on their knees, pitching themselves forward and moving the wand back and forth in arcs. On the plus side, the "pet" motorized head is great for vacuuming carpeted stairs; no pet required to make good use of it.Jeffrey

Out of the box, the vacuum was great. Sucked up everything. Within a month, it was basically a glorified hand vacuum. The only way I can get it to do anything is to use remove the hose and the attachments. The actual suction when using it upright is terrible. It vibrates like a dolphining F1 race car, makes a hideous popping and hissing sound from the side, and worst of all, leaves fuzz, dirt , and giant hard balls of lint all over my floors rather than actually cleaning them. Using this vacuum is more work than simply using a broom and a hand held dirt Devil. Customer service was helpful in trying to fix the issues but the suggested solve didn't work. The vacuum is a lemon…complete waste of the time and money spent.Card Lady

It does quality performing for pet hair to include the turbo extension tool for upholstery. DO READ ALL the instructions so you know how to properly use it. Don't assume! The tools are ill placed with the placement and storage of the electrical cord (always falling off). The telescope for the hose to attachments doesn't lock properly and always ALWAYS pushing back in. I don't have an issue with pet hair on the roller getting stuck, but I do with human hair and any amount of length to trash. The spot where the hose connects to the canister is constantly getting clogged because it is small and narrow, needs to be wider. Pay CLOSE attention when taking the filter out of the canister and putting it back; there is a reason it is meticulously marked. The alignment must be perfect or it won't go back together properly; this is the same for everything on the vacuum. Hard to push when vacuuming (hence one of the reasons I said to read instructions carefully)? You have to provide some air to release the amount of suction, so it moves easier with the little knob on the left; by the way, it moves also on its own.feltermail

Within 1 minute of its' first use this model #2475 Pet Hair Eraser Turbo had its' brush roll stop spinning before a small 10×10 foot area was complete. The belt assembly is centre mounted so debris from both sides of the brush roll collects towards its' centralized belt motor which sits open with nothing to protect it from debris. This results in it being the furthest thing from the "tangle free" unit it is advertised as. Removal of the head screws holding the bottom cover in place is quite easy so I was able to see what was causing the jam (see picture attached). The manufacturer claims the unit can accept hair length of 4-8 inches. The longest of the hairs in this pictures is 3 inches, so the job in question should have been well within the manufacturer's guidelines. Upon reassembling the base the unit promptly got jammed a second time. After once again removing the clog I decided to give it a different task, cleaning hardwood. This unit has a key feature for those with hardwood floors, its' brush can turn on/off, saving your hardwood from being scratched by the roller. Sadly there is very little suction (see video attached). I found without the brush roll spinning the machine picks up essentially nothing. The last major feature this unit is its' heavily marked "pet hair eraser" attachments. The Pet Turbo Eraser" is nothing more than the same "turbo brush" or "handi-mate" that has been commonplace on vacuum's since the 1950's. The "two in one" pet brush is a traditional fabric brush as is the crevice tool. There is nothing fundamentally different with these attachments than what is industry standard from most vacuum suppliers. I've had Bissell units before, the last being the significantly cheaper "Clearview Alergen Lift-Off Pet Upright Vaccuum." It lasted 2 years before dying a few weeks after its warranty expired precipitating the purchase of this Turbo model. All in all a poor vacuum. Don't buy this.Jimmy

Vacuum worked in steaks so you have to run it over the same spot over and over to get the whole even just a small area. The pet hair attachment broke pretty quickly after purchase. The accordion tubing connecting the arm tore in multiple places, we had to tape it repeatedly to retain suction because it kept breaking in different places. We have two huskies and vacuum like 2-3 times a week so it’s not like we used it incessantly. The final straw was another broken spot in the tubing which then kept disconnecting from the handheld attachment. Overall, did not stand up to any normal wear and tear, not sustainable for the price. You will be amazed how much your previous vacuum has missed once you start using this wonder. We have two cats and three dogs-a golden retriever and border collie who are shed machines-and I seemed to be constantly chasing hair tumbleweeds. The first time I used the vacuum on my 9x7rug, I had to empty the canister twice. That would have been two bags with the last vacuum. Not only is our house now cleaner but our wallet a little fatter as we are not buying two boxes of bags a month. Plus the benefits for the upcoming spring allergy season. I LOVE my Hoover Total Home Pet bagless vacuum cleaner! I vacuum my house at least daily due to having one big dog and 2 cats that all seem to shed. I usually end up purchasing a new vacuum every year. I have owed so many vacuums over the years and I have never bought the same one twice. I think I have found my forever brand and model with the Hoover Total Home Pet bagless vacuum! I love how powerful this vacuum is! After one vacuum, I was amazed at how much hair was in the canister! I love that the vacuum is lightweight since I have to carry it to three different floors in my home. I like the different settings for both the carpet and the hardwood as my home has both types of flooring. The suction on this vacuum is so powerful, you will be amazed! The tools that came with this vacuum are awesome! The quick release cleaning wand is perfect to clean those high areas and the dusting brush is extremely helpful with cleaning the blinds, curtains and ceiling fans. My favorite attachment tool though is the pet turbo tool! This tool is so easy to use and gets all the hair off my couches and steps! Thank you Hoover for making such a powerful vacuum cleaner! The overall feel of this vacuum cleaner would best be described as cheap. The plastic used for the housing is flimsy and the handle itself feels unsecure. The dirt collection canister is difficult to release due to the manufacture glue holding the flap in place. The brush attachment stopped working within 10 minutes of use and when it does run the attachment provides poor cleaning power. Overall I am not satisfied with the vacuum and I have begun my return of the item. I purchased this and a Hoover carpet cleaner and I am just as displeased with the cleaner.Bill

I've had this vacuum for a b little over a year as a spare for upstairs. I don't use it that often and it had worked fine for what I needed. Then it shut off the other day while using it. I discovered hair clogs in the hose. Seriously disappointed since this is specifically for households with pets. I cleared the clogs, cleaned the brushroll and tried again. There was very little suction and it still turned off after a few minutes of use. I took out the filters & made sure they were clean. I was actually surprised at how clean they were. Tested it again this morning and there is still no suction. It gets hot and shuts off. Not sure if I should spend the money to get it services or just throw it away. I don't remember if I registered it for the warranty and there doesn't seem to be a way to check the website.Candace

Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum is light weight & really easy to remove the canister from the stick stick. Glides nicely over our entire house which has mostly wood floors and tile, but did well on multiple rugs with different pile heights. It even comes with attachments to clean the stairs, furniture or our SUV & truck. We had a different cordless one but needed a vacuum we didn’t have to worry about running out of battery 1/2 way through our home. The cord is super long so that helps us from having to re-plug every few feet. The dust compartment is simple to empty and clean out with a press of a button. We have 2 dogs and 4 kids so we’re constantly vacuuming, the power is awesome and it’s convenient to easily unload the debris. It’s lightweight too, so it’s easy for me to move around the house without it being a hassle. There is a little downside to it, which is that it doesn’t stand on its own, so you’ll have to either prop it on something or fold it (which is easy) in order to do something else if needed while vacuuming. So I’m taking it down a star for that since I do have to stop and pick up toys etc having kids & pets constantly playing.Heathermthomas

The Shark Rocket Pro, picks up VERY well. The area I first vacuumed with it, was a area that had been vacuumed the day before. Within five minutes, the Shark had picked up A LOT more. The vacuum was easy to assemble and the attachment comes apart easily to be able to vacuum the ceiling and other had to get to areas. The Shark glides across any floor easily and turns easily. The only drawback I found with this Shark machine was the motor was near the top of the handle and it made the machine top heavy. It doesn’t stand on it’s own. There are two small attachments that didn’t have anywhere to attach to the machine, that I could find. But, as well as this machine works, I find these to be minor problems. As you can see from the photo, it picked up quite a bit after only a five minute vacuum. I have animals and cleaning hair has always been a problem.adcatex6

This Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum works GREAT ! I really like how light weight it is, I can very easily maneuver it around the house with little effort and let me say how GREAT it picks up all the dirt and debris from my floors. My carpets are much cleaner/fluffy and my hardwood floors are cleaned better than when I sweep. I am very excited and satisfied at how much debris/hair/dust/dirt was in the debris container. This vacuum has PLENTY of attachments that I can use on my stairs and I'll even be cleaning my curtains and window seals. As small as this vacuum is, is does the job QUICKLY and very EFFECTIVELY, much much better than my current canister vacuum. This Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum is much quieter and very stronger in terms of suction than ANY vacuum I've ever owned. I went from 45 minutes of vacuuming to 15 minutes, WHAT A GREAT IMPROVEMENT ! I LOVE DYSON. It’s been a love affair for @15 or so years. I had the V-6 and made an excuse that college child needed so I could get the V-11animal. No one in my house were allowed to use. It WAS my baby – empty nester at the time. I bought it shortly after it first came out so it has the screwed in battery. I needed a cordless vacuum that was able to pick up Belgian Malinois Shepard fur from H _ _ _, easy to use, lighter than a full vacuum BUT WORK AS WELL OR BETTER than a full-size – I have chronic back pain and fibromyalgia and numbness… Yes in my crazy perfect vacuum dream world this existed and it DID! Thanks Dyson! It checked EVERY box of my needs, well except price. It was the most I have ever spent on something for me but dang it I deserved it and NEEDED it. It has been absolutely incredible! I would have told you 2 years ago do whatever you need to and buy bc it has incredible suction, awesome holders for tools with wall mount and on pole, adjustable suction on torque floor tool, adjust able power – Eco for low dirt area, Auto and Boost for deeper and stronger suction. So those are PROS. CONS are you need to press trigger to power it so with my neuropathy in hands at times I cannot vac, need to remove any attachments to empty dirt bin, after @8-12 months the bin empty slide started to stick, and then at 2 years (WARRANTY EXPIRED) and @5 months it started to shut off and then turn on. Called customer support and and they did a video troubleshoot and said it’s the battery. Well no battery in stock. Actually ABSOLUTELY ZERO SPARE PARTS for my baby have been in stock for over a month now! A week or so later it stopped more and then shut down. Called again and told it was the cyclone part (a guy on YouTube had same exact issue but his warranty was still active) BUT NO PART available. He told me to call or go to my nearest Dyson service center. Well the nearest in @1.25hrs. away. I do not have a car – getting divorced so I took my Dyson V11 animal and he got our 25 y/o car worth about the same. He fought for my V11 which was honestly a no win – I don’t know what he was thinking. Lol Plus the service center when I finally reached a person said that maybe it’s the trigger and I could mail it in. I still haven’t decided bc why pay to ship something that there’s no parts for? I rarely ever leave reviews but this thing is great! This is my first Dyson purchase and I have a German Shepard mix who sheds constantly, this V11 handles his hair with ease. I love the flexibility to use it anywhere with the attachments that are included, my personal favorite is the mini motorized tool. The simple design makes it easy to clean and maintenance. This thing picks up dirt that you don’t even see, especially in carpets and area rugs. I am also one who cares about packaging and this thing is packaged perfectly. The only downside, like all electronics is the battery life. 5 to 6 minutes on boost mode is not enough for a vacuum of this cost. I would like to see Dyson sell an additional king power cord that can be used to power the vacuum directly more like a traditional vacuum if needed for those of us with bigger houses with lots of carpeted areas.Jxustin

After reading these reviews I can't help but think that these machines are designed to last for roughly 2.5 years. My machine did the exact same thing that others have written about. I purchased this machine back in January 2020, about a month ago it started cutting off during use. The cutting off started getting more frequently to the point where the machine stays on for about 2 seconds before cutting off which makes it inoperable. So I call the service center to be told that my machine is out of warranty as of January 2022 and a replacement motor will cost $116. It is really unfortunate that a $700 machine is designed to last 2.5 years before you have to put more money into it. The sad part about it is that most people will pay the $116 because you can not get a new decent vac for that price and secondly, you have already invested $700 in this machine. It is very disheartening, and I wish I would have went with a different brand.Trise

We have a German Shepard that sheds like mad all year long. One could build another dog out of all the fur he sheds! We purchased the Bissell Crosswave a few weeks ago and I am thoroughly impressed. Our area rugs have never been cleaner (they are dark blue so the fur REALLY shows!). And it's so easy and convenient to use. The canister is easy to remove and empty. The wand is easy to take off and use for those nooks and crannies with the slim tool (which has a handy brush that slides up for dusting). Setting the height level while vacuuming works like a dream. With our old vac you had to turn off the vac to adjust the height. It has amazing suction. The power cord is nice and long so you don't have to keep moving it to a different outlet to reach. It's the best vacuum I've ever used on bare floors as well. It doesn't shoot the debris around but actually picks it up! The inside of the canister has removable parts that can be rinsed off as well which is a nice feature as here in Arizona it's very dusty. If I could give more stars, I definitely would!Kaarin

I have a German Shepherd who is very floofy. I narrowed down my choices between the Bissell CleanView® Rewind Pet Vacuum Cleaner ad the Dyson Animal II. I have had 2 Dysons before. The feature that made me decide on the Bissell is that it has an adjustment dial for 5 different brush heights so whatever you are vacuuming can be done effortlessly with just the right amount of suction regardless of the surface – tile, this rug, p[lush carpet etc. I have tile, carpets and rugs. The other strong selling point was the included upholstery attachment, which works like a dream on dog hair. The only thing I feel that could be improved is the length of the electrical cord. I had no idea that my carpets, my floors, my home was THAT bad until I used this incredible cleaning machine! I knew my old vacuum (also a Bissel) was needing replaced, and the suction on it still worked well but it had some other issues so I decided to buy a new vacuum, Boy oh boy am I glad that I did! After vacuuming my no carpeted floors with this vacuum, they looked like I had just mopped them! It picks up pet hair like a pro! I love how the canister opens up at the bottom with just the push of a button, no mess, no fuss! And one of my other favorite features of this vacuum is the self wind up cord! Let me start this review by saying that I have purchased and used a lot of vacuums in my day. For the last couple of years I’ve been using the Shark Vertex Powered lift away. I love that machine, but still missed having a canister. I had been seeing the Shark Canister Pet vacuum advertised on line and a couple days ago decided to purchase, and I’m so glad I did. The first thing I noticed when trying it out for the first time was how powerful it is. The suction power is unbelievable. I also love that it has 3 speeds of suction power. The beater brush has two speeds. Low and high. High is recommended for carpet while low is recommended for hardwood floors. The power head has fins mixed with bristles and does an excellent job at removing dust and dirt from floors. My favorite thing about this vacuum is how lightweight it is. I literally can pick the canister up by its handle with one finger. The controls for this vacuum are conveniently located on the handle. This particular canister vacuum comes with two attachments. A decent sized crevice tool and a nice upholstery tool. The power head comes with the unit as well. I tried my attachments from my vertex lift away and they fit and work with the canister! The canister glides on 4 caster wheels and moves great. It also has a 25 ft retractable cord. The Shark Canister Pet is a high quality vacuum that’s lightweight and easy to maneuver. I give this vacuum an A+! In my humble opinion Shark makes the best household vacuums on the market today! I truly love all three of my Shark vacuums, and wouldn’t want any other vacuum! This is my first canister vacuum. I can't say how it compares to other canisters but it's an amazing vacuum. This vacuum has incredible suction. Far better suction than any other vacuum I have owned. I am actually quite shocked at how much this can pick up. I have cats so I needed a good vacuum to pick up all of the hair in my home. It has easy to use buttons on the handle for changing the suction level or cleaning modes. The MultiFLEX is a great addition and allows for easy cleaning under furniture. The no hair wrap brushroll is a lifesaver! I hated having to cut hair from the roller on my other vacuums. I get so much hair caught on those and this one never gets hair stuck on it. It's easy to empty and holds more than my other vacuums so I can make less trips to empty it. The wand is extremely long and can reach further than any other wand I have used, making it great for getting up high near ceilings. The attachments work well for crevices and removing pet hair from furniture. There are super bright LED lights so I can see if I am missing anything while I vacuum. This can be used with the canister wheeled on the ground or carried. It is lightweight and easy to carry up stairs or around furniture. The wheels work well to pull across the floor as well. It isn't as maneuverable as a standard upright and works best in open spaces unless the canister is being carried. It's just what comes with using a canister compared to an upright. I have been using this shark bagless pet pro canister vacuum for some time now. With 3 pets who shed nonstop I'm always in the market for the greatest and newest vacuums available to help me keep the hair down and the allergies away. The vacuum has a great section not just using the hand tools but also in the floor roller itself. As someone with long hair one of my greatest battles is trying to get mine off the roller using my old vacuums didn't matter style or brand. This bagless canister vacuum also comes equipped with self cleaning paddles leaving me more time to get other things accomplished. Let's just say I was astonished at how much was pulled from my rugs when I regularly vacuum weekly sometimes 2 to 3 times. One of the better features that I've seen on it that's not mentioned is it actually runs more quiet than other vacuums I have used. The hand tools are great the only thing that I seem to have an issue with is the awkward positioning of the tubing maybe if it was a bit thinner a bit longer it would be easier but sometimes when you're walking around it'll flip the vacuum itself and turn itself off because it has 2 different ways to power it on and off. I do appreciate the actual hand tool or hand grip having its own power button and also button and also being able to choose from the hand tool whether it's hardwood floors or carpeting forces having to use a foot to change the setting. I definitely recommend if you have pets pets with short hair long hair or if you're like me have super long hair.AshleyC.

We purchased the Shark corded stick model at Target a few years ago. At first it was great, and I recommend it for smaller houses or apartments since it's lightweight and small. It's powerful for its size. But it's not super durable. From what I've read, Shark doesn't make many replacement parts and there aren't many opportunities to repair their products. After about 2 years, several important parts were broken, including the hinge holding the dust cup together. We've been using packing tape to hold together the dust cup, and we have to cut off the tape to empty it and then re-tape it shut every time. Also the main little interior hose at the bottom that connects the head to the stick cracked wide open. The brush gets wrapped with long hair easily. The suction is pretty bad now, probably because of all these issues. Overall pros: It's great on wood floors, good on rugs, and works well while it lasts. Lightweight and easy to maneuver and carry up stairs. I like the attachments and they're easy to use. Long cord. Bagless is more environmentally friendly, although it's best to empty it into a plastic bag anyways. It's a good deal when it's on sale for $100. Overall cons: Doesn't stand up on its own. Cheaply made. The dust bin is really small. It's a hassle to empty the dust bin because you have to unplug the whole vacuum and carry the entire cord out to the trash can with you to empty the cup. Also, bagless vacuums just seem dirtier to me since the dust and hair isn't actually contained. It's always gross emptying it and trying to avoid the cloud of crap flying up at you. It is amazing honestly. We vacuumed our carpets with our old Shark right before we went to Target to look for a new one. We came home and vacuumed again over all of it. The canister filled up TWICE. I was mortified lol. This vacuum has powerful suction and harder tips on the roller that RAKE the carpet and get the film of dog hair out of my thick plush carpeting. I’m not lying. If I was unimpressed, I would tell you so! You DO have to empty the canister more than you would any other vacuum because it is small. If you are continuously vacuuming every room in your house and not emptying, you are going to put extra stress on the motor. It IS a stick vacuum. If you need heavy duty, 5-6 rooms at a time vacuuming, this isn’t your vacuum. I had to empty after EACH room because my vacuum obviously wasn’t doing its job. But I expect next time I won’t (I hope) because I will be pulling out the vacuum daily and keeping the dirt to a minimal in general. I really wanted cordless but my man insisted he didn’t want to deal with battery issues. I’ve never had a cordless and I just wanted one so bad. Cords irritate me and get in my way lol. But this purchase was good. So far I am very satisfied. I will definitely come back and redo my review if I feel like my opinion has changed in a couple months. I’ve had this vacuum for 4 years. Here are my thoughts: PROS 1. Good suction, still finds dust and dirt and pet hair 2. Lightweight and really low profile so you can vacuum under things easily 3. Price is amazing for the quality 4. No bags and all the filters I can clean out on my own and reuse. Huge cost and environmental savings. 5. Easy and fast detach / attach for getting corners and using the tools that come with it. 6. Dust bin opens easily and smart so I can hold it over the trash and won’t get dust everywhere. Less messy to empty than others. CONS 1. Corded 2. Hose broke down in head where it bends and flexes as you vacuum, I noticed it at year 3.5, so I had to replace that segment of hose (had holes/cracks in it). I purchased a hose at Home Depot and found some instructions online. Overall it was moderately hard to replace. 3. Suction does not adjust when you vacuum over rugs like the expensive name brand competitor so I have to stand on one end to hold the rug down due to the suction wanting to pickup the rug. 4. Doesn’t sit upright, must lean against a wall when it’s not hanging on the wall given it is too heavy. If you pause during vacuuming to pick something up etc. the thing may fall down while leaning against the wall. Takes a bit of experience to get the perfect, no-fall lean figured out.jessica.b

I could not understand how this floor cleaner received such high reviews. Then I noticed that many, many of the five star reviews indicate the reviewer purchased the cleaner “as part of a promotion.“ This cleaner is terrible and is being returned immediately. On the hard floor function, it was dispensing freshly no solution onto the floor. On area rug mode, it dispensed more solution, but the cleaner basically moved the dirt around on the hardwood floor without picking it up. I need a very clean portion of the floor, it’s still left impressions from the brush. The floor was left hazy, and tacky to the touch. I have had similar floor cleaners which worked much much better. I was able to purchase this for $238 on sale. Now I know why it was on sale. It was a complete dud. It is frustrating that I had to assemble it, and now disassemble it and go back to the store with it. From now on, I will be really skeptical about products reviewed that were purchased as part of a promotion.VAshopper

I have back issues and cannot lift anything of any kind of weight so I bought this vacuum to keep on my first floor so I don’t have to lug my other vacuum (a Kenmore Progressive) up and down the stairs. I have hardwood looking laminate floors throughout and a very low pile rug in my husband’s office. I also have a couple of area rugs in my TV room. I didn’t need anything super heavy duty and I’ve always preferred canister type vacuums over uprights. I also didn’t want to spend a ton of money, but I wanted something of decent quality. I had seen another Kenmore model while shopping with a friend at BJs a while back; it was about $50 more and a Series 600, I think. I don’t have a BJs membership and I didn’t want to bother my friend so I started searching online and found this particular vacuum. I read the reviews and most were pretty good so I decided to give it a try. The biggest complaints that I read were that people prefer having the on/off switch on the handle rather than the canister itself and a number of people complained that the hardwood floor attachment is on the small side. One other complaint was that there is no place to store the attachments…the hardwood floor attachment fits into a spot on the topside of the canister, but there’s no place for the other 3-in-one piece. None of this bothers me at all. Having the on/off switch on the canister just takes a little getting used to. My other vacuum I had downstairs, which was a GE had the same setup. The smaller hardwood floor attachment is actually kind of nice; it fits more easily in between things without having to move furniture. As far as the other attachments, I just store them on the shelf in the closet where I keep the vacuum. It has great suction power and it’s very easy to switch from the hardwood attachment to the beater head when doing carpeting. I had my husband bring it upstairs where I have 3 bedrooms with wall-to-wall carpeting so I could try it out on higher pile carpeting…itworked great. My kitchen, living room and 4th bedroom are hardwood and it picked up everything. If you don’t have a lot of carpet, I would highly recommend this vacuum. For $199 it’s definitely worth it. It worked well on my carpeting, but given that it’s a lower series model I don’t know how well it would hold up to weekly vacuuming on a high pile carpet. This vacuum is exactly what I was looking for and I’m very happy with my purchase. My only complaint is the color…it’s very purple!CindyM

I am really impressed with how the vacuum head worked on the hard floor. We have dark hardwood floors throughout our home and 5 furry pets that drop hair at record rates! It is very easy to see if a vacuum cleaner is doing it's job well. We are very impressed with how well this vacuum picks up dust and hair. I have to tell you my favorite feature on this vacuum cleaner is the foot operated release for the vacuum head. This vacuum design is very well thought out. I like that I can just step on it and release the head so I can vacuum a smaller area or vacuum something that doesn't require the head. Because the power to the head is a direct plug through the tube you don't have to reach down and unplug the power to the head by hand. You can release it with your foot, vacuum the area and then plug it back in without missing a beat. It is really convenient and intuitive on how a person actually vacuums. Another thing I like is the canister doesn't turn over when you pull it with the hose. I have had multiple canister vacuum cleaners over the years and my number one aggravation with them is they roll over if you pull them from an angle or the side. This vacuum doesn't do that! It just turns easily and follows you. I love that! Finally, I like that there is a slot to slide the hose/tube/head into when you store the vacuum cleaner. Traditionally canister vacuum cleaners are kind of a pain to put away and store. The Kenmore canister bagged vacuum 200 series is a very nice addition to clean your home. Assembly is very easy, and can be put together in 5 minutes or less. The vacuum includes a floor brush that can be stored on the canister of the vacuum and a 3 in 1 combination tool to clean nooks and furniture. I love that the vacuum comes with an easy adjustable switch to slide on the handle from floors to carpet. The handle extends so that tall people will not have to hunch over cleaning their floors. The power cord is retractable by pressing a cord rewind button. There is a suction control dial as well that allows you to change vacuum cleaner suction for varied fabrics and carpets. The vacuum also has the possibility of conserving storage space if desired. If you store the canister upright you can slide the lower wand into a U shaped storage hook. It does work great. The power cord is very long so you don't have to change multiple outlets to vacuum your home. The quick release button to transition from each attachment requires little effort. I also enjoy that it includes a HEPA media filter which captures 99.97% of particles down to.3 microns. As we have a beloved pet dog, pet hair can be an issue but with this amazing vacuum, I have no issues of pet hair left behind in the carpet or on the furniture. I have long appreciated the quality of Milwaukee tools. I have several M18 cordless tools, with full intention of purchasing more, whether replacing a different brand of tool that has worn out, or I need a new tool altogether. I have never questioned buying anything Milwaukee, and was extremely surprised to see all the negative reviews of this vacuum. I thought, surely, these people are being too demanding or have unrealistic expectations. I was wrong. This is the worst tool purchase I have made in years, of any brand. Other reviews mentioned poor suction. My experience? I could probably suck harder with a hose to my mouth. Other reviews mentioned filters are quick to plug up. My experience? I vacuumed one bay in my 2-car garage before losing all suction and the filter light came on. I had to clean the filter and foam prefilter twice to finish vacuuming the other bay, and again a third time when I was done. This was also after sweeping the bays first, so much of the debris was picked up before vacuuming. It immediately reached a point where if I want to use this vacuum, I spend more time cleaning filters than I do actually vacuuming. Other reviews mentioned poor battery life. My experience? While using the exact same battery, I get significantly longer runtime from my string trimmer or chainsaw, both of which have large motors and substantial workloads. It baffles me how this tool can burn up a battery so quickly when all it's running is a fan. I will be reaching out to Milwaukee about this vacuum. I am extremely disappointed in this tool's performance and have no intention of keeping it. I'd rather lug my 15-gallon wet/dry vac around the shop. This is actually a very powerful and quality vacuum (More on this later). Unfortunately, I think they dropped the ball when it comes to the main reason why most people are buying this vacuum, the Powerhead brush. The brush is at a "fixed" height for hard floors or very flat outdoor type carpet only. When you use the brush on indoor carpet, and even throw rugs, the lack of space and powerful suction will cause the carpet to actually lift up under brush and cause everything to bog down and make it hard to move. Either, they forgot to add a height adjustment (not likely), or they knew the .25 gallon capacity was going to fill up too fast on full carpet which holds much more dirt. Either way, it would be nice to hear why they made it a fixed height. Not to worry though people, just add 3M felt pads on the front corners and it will end up being a perfect height for most carpet (picture). As a test, I did try this vac on a 200 sqft room with thick carpet and 2 (bad shedding) dogs. After just vacuuming that one room, not only did the canister totally fill up but the inner cleanout did as well. As far as the unit itself goes, it does have much more suction than the M18 wet/dry vac, the power brush is very powerful, the 5.0 battery lasts about 8-10 minutes, they do use real ball bearing assemblies not plastic bushings (picture), the filter is on the smaller side (picture), easy access internal cleanout (picture), and it is made in Vietnam not China.Xphobe

My wife was in the market for a cordless vac. This time of year the cluster flies and lady bugs are looking for a winter home which drives her to crazyland. Instead of dragging the vac upstairs/downstairs she started looking for a cordless vac for ease of use. She looked at a few other brands and I then suggested she look at the Milwaukee brand given I had multiple batteries/chargers for other M18 tools I own. She checked out the weight of it at the store and said it would be fine. It was quite a bit more expensive than the other brands but given we got a free battery with the purchase I logged it as a win/win. Plus I don't need to manage a different set of batteries. absolutely hate it! For one its very top heavy so doesn't stand up on its own. They do give you an option to purchase the hang hook. The only good thing is without the floor piece it works great. But only comes with 2 extensions which are very short and can't use hand held within without the wand because the dust cup gets in the way. The price you pay is definitely not worth it. Especially since you have to buy the hang hook and any extenders separately off shark website. Bottom line buying a hand held vacuum does the same job without all the "extra" add on's.BS

This vacuum is the best lightweight one I have ever had. I was skeptical because of its size. I wasn't sure it would have the suction or maneuverability I wanted, but it's great. It is totally true that hair will not get wrapped up on the roller bar. The ability to get around and under furniture is just what I needed. You can lift off the handle for a long handled device or a short one to clean furniture or up high. Easy to empty dust cup is a bonus. If I had anything negative to say it would be that I wish it came with more tools.Janet

This vacuum is everything I wanted and more! It's lightweight which makes it easy to manuver. I can't say enough about the Zero M brush roll!! Phenomenal! I have 20 inch long hair with 3 cats and after 6 months of daily use I haven't had to cut a single hair from the roller! That in itself makes this unit worth every penny! The suction… Out of this world!!! It takes up very little space. You can purchase a clip for wall storage or store it on the attached clip on the wand. Cord is quite long so a lot can be accomplished before repositioning somewhere else. I love that it can go from floor to overhead in seconds, convert to a handvac, and back to floors in a flash! Two brush roll speeds let you move from hard floors and area rugs to higher pile carpet with the flip of a switch. The fact that this unit features washable filters is just icing on the cake!
