Best Vacuum For Lvp Floors (2023 Update)

I purchased this vacuum back in May/June of 2021 and have had the last 6 months to really use this thing and put it to the test and honestly- I'm not impressed. I'm already way past the return window, so I just wanted to leave a review for others so people can know my personal experience. It doesn't have the suction to pull the cleaner/water out of any rugs or carpet I own. So, we are left with wet carpet for hours after using this. It also does not clean the floors properly with the brush. It's really just moving dirty water around while only sucking up a small fraction of what I have put down. There are dirty water streaks every time I use this to mop. When using the vacuum dry, the dust and hair clog up the filter within minutes and I have to empty it multiple times while vacuuming, even though the container itself is not nearly full. I have a long haired cat, and I myself have long hair. Neither of these things have agreed with this vacuum. If you have a cat and plan on vacuuming any cat litter with this- don't. It will become a large clay litter clump in the suction tube of the vacuum that you have to get out yourself. It will also leave nasty gray streaks of litter/water on the floor. Additionally, my fallen hair gets so tangled in the spinning brush that I have to cut it off. Honestly, that might not be avoidable or the fault of the vacuum. My hair also gets caught on the sides of the spinning brush and becomes an unmanageable mess that can't be removed. This was probably my worst "big purchase" of 2021. I got the Crosswave Max as a splurge birthday present, but I do not like it at all. It is not convenient. Have to assemble before each use, fill with water and their solution (cannot use just water for brush head reasons), then after use have to run the brush clean function and disassemble and clean all the other parts and let them dry. So you need a dedicated area for all this, just like a full on carpet cleaner. In all that time it takes to assemble and clean up after, I can bend over and pick up or sweep up any of my toddler’s mess AND warm up and use my steam mop. Going back to the brush cleaning cycle, it does not do much to clean the brush. The brush remains dirty, discoloured, and unless you soak it in detergent for at least 30 minutes with a good rinse after (blue dish soap, or laundry soap, or their solution, etc), it will remain dirty and leaves a lot of streaks and milky film on the floor the next use. I have darker floors, so it looked disgusting after the wetness dried. I would have to use my steam mop after using the crosswave and the pad would be very gross after, but atleast the floors would finally look good. It’s also a slow machine to use. You basically wet the floor area going slowly so it’s evenly wet and then have to go over it several times to try to dry it as much as possible. You have to do this section by section. It would take much too long to do only my kitchen, where I could sweep or vacuum and mop it in half the time. This machine is a great idea in theory, but it is not convenient or efficient and left my floors dirtier than before using it. The company states the brushes need to be replaced after ten hours of use (I did not use it nearly that long and the brush heads were awful after a short time) and they are not cheap to replace. Also have to use their solution, again not cheap. For such an expensive device, it requires a lot of additional costs.Melissa O

Having purchased two Dyson handhelds in the past, I thought I would give Hoover a try this time around (as I do own a pull around canister Hoover that I've had since 2007 and its been awesome) . Unfortunately, I am left disappointed. If you want a vacuum that won't suck up the smallest of crumbs but rather push them around and shoot them out in every direction causing you more work, clogs up with little to no dust particles constantly, and then get zero help or back up from their customer support, then this is the vacuum for you! Because the vacuum couldn't be returned to store once it was used, I contacted the company directly. They proceeded to copy and paste their "de-clogging" instructions, and then ignored the rest of my emails. I am capable of reading a manual and this didn't help me what-so-ever. I cannot believe they actually advertise this as a PET model, because I am using it for much less dirty jobs than pet hair and/or litter, etc. and it's essentially useless. The only good thing I have found about it is the dual batteries and the battery life. However, that isn't very helpful alone when the vacuum doesn't do its job properly. Unfortunately due to the lack of support from Hoover itself, I will not be purchasing any more of their products or recommending to anyone else.kmitschke

I am quite impressed with my new vacuum. Every detail of it seems well thought out which means a lot in this day and age. It really seems to be built to last a long time. All the electronic parts are protected. I really appreciate the brushless "digital" motor. Every little detail is engineered like the battery and charger LED animations syncing together. It came with a silent 4-amp fast charger that charges fully in one hour. This is even including that it waits to charge the battery until it is the optimal temp so it doesn't degrade faster. Each battery and the whole vacuum have a three year limited warranty. The batteries have built-in smart BMS's that communicate with the vacuum and charger to make sure the cells are within their optimal ranges. I noticed the wheels are multi-piece with rubber tread unlike other vacuums I've seen. The whole vacuum is quite simple and intuitive. The phone customer service was some of the best I've ever had. The packaging was recyclable, even the plastic bags. The regular mode seems to clean better than our old corded Shark vacuum and the boost mode is crazy and like suctions it to the carpet. It gets a whopping 9 minutes of run time on boost mode though. The brushroll head is like 3/4 the width of the Shark's so you have to do more lines. The brushroll motor stopped many times to cool down today while I was vacuuming our nasty apartment's carpet. I needed to swap batteries a few times. I charged the other battery while I was using the other. I got the second battery for free as a promotion and it's very needed. Being a cordless stick vacuum is really quite nice but while it can go all the way under couches the weight is located where your hand is which makes it feel a lot heavier than it is. The hours of online research I did was definitely worth it. It would've been a five-star review but Hoover/FedEx's communication on the payment and shipping was very non-existent. Did lots of research on many different brands/types of battery powered handheld vacuums for auto and coffee cart cleaning. I roast my own coffee, addicted to espresso daily and those things can be a bit messy at times. This vacuum makes very short/efficient work of cleaning everything I put it through. I could tell just by unboxing it that the build quality is outstanding just based on the feel of the materials used, let alone actually charging/using it. The system is very well thought out with every possible attachment needed for all sorts of mild/moderate cleaning jobs. Very compact to get into the most confined areas too. The filtration system is as efficient as advertised as it never loses suction and the actual filter stays spotless due to the design. Super easy to empty the filter container with no mess/inconvenience. Have seen a few complaints in reviews regarding the battery capacity and yes it does fade when being pushed on MAX cleaning, but it does a great/quick job nonetheless. People should understand you simply can't have MAX performance/capacity simultaneously… Both battery packs give good runtime for the use I put it through and charge in a reasonable amount of time and don't experience any sort of low self-discharge when sitting on a shelf unused for any realistic period of time. Nice to have the option to buy more packs as these age as we have had to toss other brands when the battery fades due to it NOT being user serviceable and just dies. Last point I will make is the awesome design of the powered brush roller as it works very well at various angles and being able to remove the brush roller for easy cleaning is ingenious. Most other brands require the debris to be cut/pulled off of that part due to terrible design.Thomas

Honestly haven’t had any major complaints about the vacuum. We do have kids so we use it probably every other day to 2 days. It’s a compact vacuum which is a plus. The one tiniest complaint I’d have is after going back and forth a couple times there are some items that you would think the vacuum would pick up, but doesn’t. Instead, I use the detachable wand for those odd pieces. I should clarify, the vacuum has picked up 99% of what is seen on the carpet. It’s just those random odd stragglers and it doesn’t happen every time. As for our tiles, I just use the wand to pick up anything necessary then jet swift it but that’s a different product.GL

To start off I would have to say that the Dirt Devil Endura Max Upright vacuum is a high quality performing product. There is very great suction when it comes to pet hair and even popcorn in the carpet that my child had spilled. The spinning brush is adjustable to many settings. Such as bare floor to higher profile carpet. It does a great job of pulling dirt and hair out of my medium profile carpet. It isn't to heavy so when I use the extended hose handle I can carry it from place to place. One thing in was not a fan of was the multi dusting piece. It was a little to bulky to fit into my window seal to get that dirt out. The smaller end was also not long and thin enough to fit into my dryer vent. The dusting piece also added extra unnecessary bulk. It is a nice concept but it isn't as great as the individual pieces. Other than my opinion on the duster, I really enjoy and love my Dirt Devil Endura Max Upright vacuum. If you are contemplating this purchase, I recommend you try this product. Other than marrying my ex husband, buying this vacuum was the worst decision of my life. It is bulky and cheap plastic. Extremely loud and makes my arm go numb from all of the vibration! It has a "hardwood" setting but the brush still spins in that setting, which can scratch the hardwood. I was excited about the pet brush attachment, but is doesn't really work since the attachment will NOT stay on the hose or in the attachment holder, for that matter. It does not have much suction, I feel running a lint brush over the carpet would pick up more! I won't even give this vaccum away because I wouldn't want anyone to hate me!BBB Customer

I am disappointed with this vacuum. Pros: I love that it doesn't have a disposable bag. The suction power is great, and may be too strong (wish there was a way to adjust the suction power). The filtration seems great — no sneezing fits after vacuuming! Cons: This is an extremely noisy machine, particularly when using the wand with attachments, especially the stair tool. Stair tool is less than 5 inches wide, rendering it useless. Using the cleaner head doesn't fully vacuum dust off of hardwood floors – it seems that I will have to separately purchase the "articulating hard floor" tool to get the job done right. The wand is extremely awkward to use: the hose retracts too tightly and pulls the vacuum if you try to use it fully extended. The hose crimps and blocks the suction since it doesn't have any curvature where one's hand holds it. (I note that all promo picture show the hose extended fully straight — is it not supposed to be used at an angle?) The cleaner head is rather wide and not ideal for smaller spaces. Cleaner head with beater turned on can easily suck up fringe and edges of thin rugs, and in fact has shredded the edges of a sisal rug. This is not an ideal vacuum for those with lots of rugs and wood floors who want to try to clean both at the same time without continuously toggling back and forth between using the cleaner head and the wand. The machine feels flimsy, cheap, and wobbly. The handle always feels like it is about to twist and snap off. My 20 year old Miele is a far better vacuum in terms of design and quality.DJBklyn

So I have had this vacuum for about a year now and am sorely disappointed in the way this Dyson was created. Again I will first complain about how HEAVY it is – Seriously, if you are not strong and you have more than one level in your home, reconsider before purchasing this vacuum. Moving it up and down the stairs is a challenge – my son can't do it and my husband complains of it's weight when he has to so take that into consideration. My last Dyson was half this weight and still cleaned great. Besides the weight though, I have had so a bunch of other issues with this model – some small, some not. > There are too many points where dirt gets stuck and I have to literally take half the vacuum apart to figure out where the clog is and to fix it. This has happened to me sooooo many times and I literally have to follow the tubing to see where the issue is, sometimes it is in the wand, sometimes in the actual vacuum part and sometimes it is where the dirt goes into the dirt cabinet (or whatever it is called). I have spent so much time cleaning out my vacuum to make it work and then causing a huge mess of dirt on the floor that it causes my cleaning time to take way longer than it should. I have kids and pets so there's all kinds of small things on the floor, but I expect a vacuum of this caliber to be able to not only handle it but not require me sit down on the floor and conduct surger on my vacuum to fix the issue. > In order to use the wand I have to unwind all of the plug cable as the cable locks the wand into place on the vacuum – just not convenient. > After using the wand, trying to put it back in place is such a challenge that half the time my family won't even take the time to put it back in its place – it just doesn't want to go where it should. > When using the wand, your hand sits on the stretch tube part and as it picks things up it hits stretchy tube part right where your hand is – half the times I think that there is a hole because it feels like it really is hitting my hand but I realize there is no hole but then the rest of me wonders how long will this stretch section actually last if things are constantly hitting it in the same spot??? We will see, I guess… > When you are done using the vacuum and want to make it just stand up, you have to put it in place 2-3 times before it will actually stand up on its own. I'm not sure if this is on purpose or if there is something wrong with my vacuum but it just becomes annoying after some time. I bought a Dyson Vacuum in 2006. It was amazing, I couldn't believe how good a vacuum it was…a little pricey at $300 compared to competitors, but well worth the money. The suction was fantastic and the tool organization was amazing. Fast forward to 2021 and that Dyson, now 15 years old dies…and totally understandable she went thru a lot. So now, simplest fix is to buy a new Dyson…big mistake. I don't know what they have been doing since 2006, but they now make a terribly cheap vacuum, which now surprising costs even more at $499 (inflation). It is clunky, fully manufactured with the cheapest and thinnest plastics and they changed some of the impressive designs in 2006 to something much less user friendly. It truly amazes me that they could have done nothing for 15 years and would still have a vacuum way better than what they sell now. Only explanation is greed, squeeze out every penny from the Dyson name, but make a product they no is crap.Benjamin

I’ve had this unit for 9 months now and unlike many other reviews, I have had absolutely no problems. I have a 3 level, townhome with hard wood floors and stairs and this vacuum handles it all. The pivoting head gets into all the hard places. I can do 2 entire floors and 2 flights of stairs on a single charge. I’ve had no issues with the vacuum holding it’s charge. Others have claimed that hair is an issue for this vacuum, but I have long hair that seems to shed everywhere and have had no issues. My only criticism is that the dust/debris container is a little small and can open rather quickly when going to empty the container possibly getting some dust not into the trash if you’re not careful. Otherwise, I am very happy with this vacuum. For those complaining it doesn’t vacuum their throw rugs, it isn’t designed to do that and clearly states it, so complaints about that scattered in the negative reviews are due to human/operator error, not the device.UTJenn

Having a family of 5 with 3 little ones (no animals) time is always of the essence to get housework done. Over the course of the past 10 years, we’ve always used swiffer sweepers, swiffer vacs, along with swiffer dusters. I stumbled upon the Dyson Omni glide on Best Buy‘s website, which opened the door to me doing research to see what this little unit is all about. Let me tell you, we absolutely love it! One of the nicest features is that it has amazing suction, the rollers are easy to clean, and if hair gets tangled in it overtime, pop out the rollers and untangle, the battery charges quick, and last a long time. Our house is not huge, approx. 2400 sq. ft. With lots of hardwood flooring and LVP, And the battery last the duration. Over the course of owning swiffers, with buying new pads and the swiffer vacuum battery’s dying, this offsets that cost. This Dyson is not cheap, and I’ve noticed the price went up $50 since I last purchased it (paid $399), but I still feel it’s a good value. So much that we purchased one and for my in-laws, and one for my parents for Christmas (I purchased on Dyson’s website). I will note, purchasing off of Dyson’s website you do receive a free bag & free crevice tool, Best Buy‘s website does not offer that. My little ones love pushing it around and sucking up “mama hairs”. One minor qualm, as I wish the roller head was a little bit bigger. It would cover more space a bit quicker, but not a dealbreaker.Houseofpain1

For context, I've also got two slightly older Dyson vacuums: a DC41 upright from 2014, and a DC44 cordless from 2013. My overall experience with the omni-glide has been really positive, but there's definitely pros and cons. Pros: 1) First, let's talk about the new dual fluffy rollers head, which is the biggest pro by far. Compared to every other vacuum I've used, the new head really does feel like something special, and if your home has hard floors everywhere, I believe it is a better head than everything else which has ever been made by any manufacturer. I'm not exaggerating, it's genuinely a joy to use and picks up everything! The way it's been designed also means it has a lower profile than anything else I've ever used, which means you can clean under more things. The way the head glides actually does live up to the hype – it has little rollers underneath it and a really flexible articulated joint, so it rolls effortlessly across the floor and around things like chair legs, the way I find myself moving it around feels almost like a mop, it's that flexible! 2) The handheld unit is certainly small and light, which is likely a plus for smaller spaces and more slender people! 3) The bin is really easy to empty – the way it scrapes the dust off the grating inside as you slide it open is definitely better than the older cordless bins which you had to tap a lot to get all the dust out of. 4) The handheld attachments are well designed, and the small rotary tool works great for vacuuming the sofa fabric etc. Cons: 1) This is not a vacuum for carpets or rugs. The fluffy roller head just doesn't work well on them (in fact, in my experience the rollers stop spinning and it just doesn't vacuum much at all without them). There's no full size floor head included which would work on carpets – the only option you have is the smaller rotary head which is really designed for upholstery and would be very slow to vacuum a whole room with. So, if your home has carpets, I'd suggest you get the more versatile full size cordless vacuum instead (e.g. the new V15). 2) While the unit is small and light, the bin is also quite small so when vacuuming all of my 1 bedroom flat, I found myself emptying the bin halfway through. Not a huge inconvenience, but again, if you have a slightly larger area or the idea of emptying the bin halfway through a clean sounds super annoying to you, I'd probably recommend going for the V15 instead. 3) There's no way provided to store the attachments (e.g. to mount them on the wall with the charger like the rest of the cordless vacuum range do), and there's no way provided to carry the attachments around with the vacuum while you're cleaning. This is a minor thing, but having to go back through from one end of the house to the other to get the nozzle to vacuum a tight spot halfway through is annoying! I wish they'd provide a detachable attachment clip or something to attach the nozzles to the vacuum unit itself while you're going around – I'd personally find that much nicer than remembering to carry them around in my pocket or something. 4) The battery life is fairly short, especially if you use the "boost" mode at all (you only get a couple of minutes runtime in this mode!). I don't think this is unreasonable, as it's a trade-off between weight vs battery life – I think they made a good choice there, and the battery is easy to remove/replace. However, there's only 1 battery included, and the vast majority of customers probably aren't going to proactively go and spend more money on a second battery. So, unless they choose to include a second battery in the box, I think it's reasonable to review as if you only have one battery. Let's be clear – I have a small 1 bed flat, and in the low power mode I can – just about – vacuum my whole flat with this battery. It's ok, but without a second battery ready to hot-swap in, I'm always slightly worried about it running out at an annoying point, which causes me to treat it more like a tool I need to use short and frequently (like, vacuuming for 5 minutes every day) rather than ever vacuuming the whole home at once. Summary: This is a great vacuum for a small, hard-floor only home, and the new head is remarkably flexible (watch my video review to see what I mean!). If you have a larger home, or home with some carpets/rugs? Don't buy this. Get the more versatile V15 cordless instead. In general, I don't quite understand why this product exists! I mean, I think the new head is amazing and I've literally raved about it to friends, but I think it should just be sold as an attachment / option for the regular V15 cordless, aimed at people who have hard floors. Perhaps there's more of a demand than I expect for smaller, hard floor only vacuums with shorter runtime.beveradb

Since there is nothing else like this tool on the market, I'll have to fairly review it by comparing it to a traditional mop and bucket. There are pros and cons for both. While I'm not typically one to invest heavily in a machine that just simply provides an electric way to do a simple manual job, this HydroVac offers so much more. The rotating antimicrobial roller mimics repeatedly going over the floor surface with minimal movement by the operator. No difficult scrubbing to get a higher level of clean. The cleaning formula was effective and I felt most powerful when mixed with warm filtered water. Dried on sticky foods came up easily and filled my home with a really nice scent. Where I would prefer a mop and bucket is when I was rinsing all of the tanks out: the solution tank and the dirty water tank. With a mop and bucket, I just dump and rinse. However, the cleaning power of this HydroVac cannot be matched! I did find that the HydroVac did really well sucking up along edges on the side of the unit but not from the front, so I wish I made a better effort sweeping before using this vac. At the end of the day, for an investment, you can get a better clean. In fact, I would recommend my friends with disabilities give this appliance a try as it allowed me to do a task that requires physical exertion with much less demand on my body.Michelle Y.

I've wanted one of these combo vac/mops ever since the Bissell Crosswave came out, but it was hard to justify the expense. I was also not sure about having to deal with cleaning a machine like this after use. After saving up some BBB gift cards, I finally bought this Shark Hydrovac after watching the Vacuum Wars youtube review, and I am so glad I did! My hardwood floors have never been cleaner! I live in a messy house with 3 kids, 2 cats, Georgia red clay in the backyard and no one but me will take off their shoes when they come in. This machine got my floors as clean as if I had hand washed them on my hands and knees. It passed the paper towel test – for the first time ever after using all kinds of different mops (steam mop, microfiber spray mop, regular mop head with spin bucket, etc), my floors actually did not show any dirt when wiped with a wet paper towel after mopping them with the Hydrovac. Also, it left NO streaks or haze! I've tried all sorts of products to get my floors cleaned and nothing left them looking this good. And cleaning the machine afterwards was no big deal at all – definitely not any more time involved than dealing with mop buckets and mop heads. The only downside is that it does not fit to clean under the kickboard of the kitchen cabinets, and the edge cleaning could be better – it leaves about a half inch around edges untouched…but I don't care because it got the rest of my floors so totally clean that I'm happy to overlook that small downside. Also, I had to refill the water tank before I finished mopping (I mop my foyer, half bath, 2 hallways and kitchen.) The floors dry unbelievably fast – it seems like it squeegees the floor with each pass to get up almost all the water used. It didn't do much to clean my area rug; it just picked up surface dirt but didn't do anything to remove marks on the rug. But I think it is still nice that I can go over area rugs with it as I'm cleaning my hardwoods and get all the surface dirt all at once. It's lightweight, and I think something that my kids could handle using easily. Regarding the Shark brand cleaner, the smell is not overpowering. I'm sensitive to scents and this didn't bother me. If this review seems over the top, I promise, it's not a paid review. I saved up to buy it and I am absolutely thrilled with it!Sally

This is a fantastic way to keep multiple floor surfaces clean. I tried this on a couple looped wool throw rugs and it did a great job cleaning without harming the rug fibers. The roller is a very soft micro fiber type material that gently rotates and gently cleans. It applies a small amount of cleaning solution the is supplied with the vacuum and sucks it all up leaving a very light dampness. It doesn't thoroughly soak the carpet but instead is more of a surface cleaning. you can easily see how much dirt is being picked up in the water being vacuumed up. It's a good idea to vacuum before using the wet vac. There is no danger of harming the floors beneath the rug because the vacuum completely picks up all of the moisture being used. I like the way it cleans the rugs but I think it works best on hard surfaces. The lighted brush assembly makes it easy to see the surface being cleaned and again it only leaves a slightly damp surface that dries quickly. There is no puddling of cleaning solution. The water compartments are easily disassembled and easily cleaned. The self cleaning feature is handy and works well and only takes 2 minutes. This is only a wet vac and not for dry vacuuming at all. I have several Shark products and I love them all and this is no exception. I highly recommend it.cdubs58

I have an older, corded Dyson which is still a workhorse. But since it is quite heavy and I am older, I can no longer easily carry it up and down stairs. So this corded one now stays upstairs which is carpeted, and the V12 Detect Slim is perfect for downstairs which is all tile/hardwood. I have 2 very fluffy cats which shed a lot – constantly – and will sometimes scatter litter when covering their waste. I tried another stick vacuum which was great for about a year, but then started dropping the litter back down and out onto the floor again so this was frustrating and useless. Back to Dyson and so far so very good. The one small feature that helped me finally make the choice of the V12 Detect Slim is the "on/off" button over the trigger in the other models. I have a bit of arthritis in my hands and the trigger would probably not be comfortable for me. I also love the laser attachment to find all the litter scatter pieces that are not easily seen but certainly are felt by bare feet. I've only had this vacuum for a short while and have not tried all of the attachments yet but am hopeful that my furniture will be cleaner of cat hair just as my floors seem to be. Yes, the dust bin is small, but it's so easy to detach and empty I don't find that to be an issue for me. As long as the V12 Detect slim keeps holding the litter in this bin, I will keep singing its praises. I also bought the standing Dok and love this. Would just like a holder of some sort to attach to the stand for holding more of the attachments. So, considering how well my older, corded vacuum has performed and continues to perform, I'm hopeful for similar performance from the V12 Detect Slim.SueD12

I was very excited to get the Dyson V12 Detect Slim Cordless Vacuum Cleaner, especially since I have had such great experiences with other Dyson products. Packaging and assembly with a breeze pretty self explanatory. I was impressed from the start with how lite it was, which made is very convenient for the stairs in our house. It was easy enough for the kids to carry around and use too, which is always a plus! I found it fairly easy to use for over head tasks too. I liked that it only has a single button power control. The LCD screen is probably my favorite feature. It shows you what has been lifted on the different surfaces, it is clear and easy to understand. In fact at one point it wasn’t functioning properly and the LCD screen told me what the problem was right away and I was able to fix it right away. I love that I didn’t have to trouble shoot it and take the whole thing apart to figure out the problem. It came with some neat attachments, the fluffy yellow and purple roller that is perfect for our wooden and tile floors, it had no problem fitting under our dining table and coffee table, this saved me time from having to move the furniture around. It comes with a wall dock that provides a way to easily store all the components while charging it as well. It included a neat hair screw tool, the allows you to pick up pet hair making pet spaces easy and fast to keep clean. They have a new design on the motorbar which helps to detangle long hair, eliminating the need for me to take it apart to cut out tangled hair like I have had to with other vacuums. You can select from the three cleaning modes depending on what job you are tackling. The waste bin is super easy to empty, simply point it in the trash can and push the lever to release the dirt. It is quick and straight to the point and I didn’t have to tough anything so my hands never got dirty. I love that it gives you 60 minutes of charge unlike previous machines that gave my around 20 minutes, also I found that the battery did a great job of holding the charge even when it was not in use or plugged in. The only “con” I would say I found was that if you doing a bigger job like cleaning more that a few rooms at a time, you have to stop and empty out the bin more often perhaps because it is a smaller unit but if you don’t mind that it really isn’t an issue. I have 3 (now 4) Dyson vacuums, I have the Airwrap and it is so awesome I wanted to try their other products. I purchased my first used D6 from eBay, I wanted to try one to see if it worked as well as it was claimed. I liked it but wanted a newer so I gave that one to my son and saved up and went with the V10 model (which I still have and still love), I then purchased the canister (refurbished) for deep cleaning items like furniture because the V10 would only go about 30 minutes and that was frustrating to me. I wanted something with a swappable battery but did not want to spend another $600 so when the small one (Omni Glide) came out I got it from Best Buy and found some extra attachments on ebay for it (mini motorized tool) and that one was excellent for day to day and my car, the battery lasts forever and is swappable, but I never needed a second for that one. My daughter borrowed it (she cleans houses) and she loved it so I let her keep it and found this one, which is in the middle of the 2 I have. I think the laser might send my OCD into overdrive because it showed everything on the floor when it looks clean without it. It is crazy how much dust it shows. I am glad I can turn it off if I choose, but I have not done that. IMO this is the best of the 5 I have tried. The battery seems to last, but it is swappable so when they are available I will be buying an extra. But so far I am using eco mode mostly and the battery lasts longer than I expected. The suction even on eco is better than my D10, my D10 does not suck up the throw rugs, but this one does. I wish I could adjust the suction to lower for this reason but all around this is a great cordless. I like the power switch because it makes it easier when using some of the attachments, not having to hold the trigger, but I am torn as I also like the trigger switch and miss it a little.M00nbeam

Ok, look. Since I got this vacuum, I vacuum my house much more than I did before. Not to make myself look bad, but it's true. (Like, MUCH more.) This vacuum is lightweight! I don't break a sweat pushing it back and forth like I do with my old vacuum. (Anyone else? Just me?) I can carry it to the second floor, and back down, no problem. This vacuum is versatile! It's like 15 vacuums in one! Ok, exaggeration, but there are so many different ways to configure this thing. It's big! It's small! Now it's got a brush! Now a hose! With the multitude of attachments and configurations, I am able to vacuum under and behind my cast iron radiators with ease. WITH EASE!!! This vacuum can tilt and roll flat to vacuum under beds and couches and other low-to-the-ground things. This vacuum is cordless! Oh boy, I love this part! I can start in the living room, and make my way through every room on the first floor without stopping, just rolling that sucker (heehee) under, and behind, and through until it's time to do the second floor. It's bliss. This vacuum is easy to clean! I've made a habit of emptying the dust collector after each use, which is, quite literally, just pushing a button. (I also charge it after each use, so that my blissful run through the house isn't interrupted by a dead battery.) Once a week or so (…..or when I remember to), I disassemble the dust collector and clean each part right in my kitchen sink. Everything comes apart, and, more importantly, goes back together, pretty easily. I enjoy this vacuum so much, I have actually gushed about it to my friends. A perfect upgrade from my old stick vacuum. Better suction, more power, touch control, beautiful color. Stick attachment is extendable, battery is detachable and can be recharged separately. The top section has a touch panel and shows a bright status of battery. Dustbin can be easily emptied with just one button release. Came nicely packaged with multiple attachments and 2 filters! Moved from Sweden to US a few months ago and was annoyed with the traditional vacuum cleaner we had here, having having to maneuver a heavy and loud motor and not being able to reach underneath furniture. Was driving me crazy and it felt like it was blowing out more dust than it picked up. The Tritan vacuum is very efficient and I was actually surprised by the high quality and power of the motor considering this is not a very expensive machine. It really does the job and with the included attachments it works for any cleaning need. The only downside to it is that I would have liked the electric cord to be a bit longer for better range, but it works well anyway. Many years ago there was a Swedish brand of Vacuum cleaners called "Elektrolux" and they had a slogan "Nothing sucks like an Elektrolux". I would change that now to "Nothing sucks like a Prolux". 🙂Anthony76

I really wanted to love this vacuum, but will have to return it, in spite of the suction being awesome. The suction is as good or better than my Shark vacuums. I needed a good HEPA canister vacuum that would work well on my hard surface floors, window shades/blinds and walls/ceilings. I was disappointed to find that even though there is a HEPA filter, the bags are not HEPA bags. I haven't determined, yet,if the vacuum is sealed well enough, to avoid dispersing dust back into the room. Additionally, the bristles on the hard floor brush are so stiff and scratchy, I am reluctant to use it on my hardwood floors. Unfortunately, none of my better attachments, from my previous vacuums, fit the Tritan. I need to be able to vacuum my walls and ceilings, but the floor brush is not suitable for that either. I would like to be able to comfortably (and safely) vacuum the tops of door frames and window shades and blinds, without using the extension tube. But , the stiff hose does not stretch and is too short to directly attach the dust brush and reach overhead, to the top of my door frames. Back to the drawing board for me, as the Tritan Canister is just not suitable for my needs.C.B.

I am 69 years old, so believe me when I tell you I have had many vacuum cleaners in my life, from a Kirby to a Miele to the less expensive uprights that just don't last. When I moved and left behind my latest upright as a gift to the buyer of my house, I had to find a new vacuum. One that would last. One that could suck up dog hair from my Australian Shepherd. One that was maneuverable and could also clean my truck's interior. When I saw the ad for the Prolux Triton I was taken by how absolutely cute it is. I love its retro looks, like a 50's space ship with chrome and a sleek shape. I love the design of the retractable cord, its maneuverability and the very very powerful motor. I now have a restored vintage house (circa 1900) which requires a strong machine to eliminate dust. I am very pleased with my Prolux Triton!!Vicki

This is an extremely lightweight machine. Not just in actual weight, but in the job it does. The motor is not powerful, the spinner is not fast. You do NOT save time using this over mopping. You must go SLOOW, back and forth, several times, over each area on even the lightest of soiled flooring. You must clean as instructed, the spinner, screens, and filter after only a few minutes of use or it will stop working completely. It doesn't do well on tile unless there are nearly flat grout lines. What is it good for? Linoleum, very lightly soiled. Probably to have it charged and ready for a small spill in the kitchen while cooking, then set it aside and know you WILL have to disassemble and clean it before you use it again, even after only a minute or two of use. For $99 it is not worth it. This should be a $39 dollar machine tops.Cutlass275

This thing is terrible. I wanted a shark cross wave but they’re expensive. I looked through the description and the reviews and thought this may be a less expensive alternative. You get what you pay for. We use it 2 X on hardwood floors. We don’t have carpets. The cleaner started spitting out nasty, dirty, smelly water all over the place. It left my house smelling like a septic tank. Yes, we have a puppy that has accidents and we used it to clean up. Aren’t these things designed to clean up messes? We have disassembled it just like the directions instructed. We cleaned every item that was disassembled with soap and water and even a tiny bit of bleach on the roller. We put it back together, turned it on and once again it starting spitting out sewage water. I haven’t touched it since. I was just going to eat the price and use the swifter but the more I thought about it. No, I’m sick of buying things that work maybe once then I end up with expensive junk I’m never going to use. So i bought this yesterday i been eyeing this mop for awhile and read alot of reviews. I was so excited to finally get it as the reveiw were so great. I been useing a reuseable spray mop so wanted to up grade as the mop head gets dirty so quick as a single mom i wanted something more convenient but that is not what i got. I was so disappointed in this mop vacuum. I have real hardwood floor and laminate in my kitchen. This did not clean i had dirty spots on my floor that my mop would have got in 2 seconds. But this thing did not clean and at first im like i must be doing something wrong so i read the book with it like 5 times going yes im doing it right. At first the floor wasnt even getting wet but after holding the button down felt like forever it finally got wet. I had to go over spots so many time for it to even get clean. Went to clean my kitchen and that was even worst i kept going over a spot over and over and nothing. So i got out my spot mop sprayed it with just water and it came up as soon as i went over it. So it wasnt a hard spot to clean but the vacuum did not clean it. only good part of the vacuum is that it sucks up the water nice and leaves your floor pretty much dry. It didnt leave streaks but the worst thing of it is when you turn it on its so powerful that it moves the vacuum forward so hard that your fighting it to go backward to suck up the water. For $200 this is not worth it at all my $30 stray mop does so much better ( but hate that it leaves my floors so wet). Oh also this doesnt not get your floor wet or clean a inch away from the wall or your rugs so couldnt get on the side of floors clean.Amber

The LG tower has two doors that serve as storage areas to store different attachments in each door compartment. In addition, The tower top is accessible it has a lid that can open up, and inside that small compartment, there is a charging station as well as a storage area for the second battery located underneath the top lid of the tower. This means there is always a spare charged battery that is always ready to use if needed. This top lid is a touch display where all touch control buttons are located such as auto mode, battery life, and dust emptying. This is more of a vacuum station than just a regular old vacuum. It's a bit pricey but it's still a great vacuum for your home. This is your typical stick vac with a auto-emptying hub. It's quite nice in that you can empty the vacuum manually however, the base station had a feature where you can auto-empty it whenever you dock the vacuum. The base station itself looks good and looks refined. It's not just some gaudy tower that you shove in a corner and have it looking like an eye sore. With the different color options, you could color coordinate it with your decor if you wanted to so that it's stands out less. the footprint of the base station is pretty small so you can store it anywhere really without it getting in the way. Included with the vacuum are your usual attachments like a crevice tool as well as a floor scrubber which is nice. It doesn't vacuum up the liquid so it's really just a scrubber. There is a separate head attachment for the scrubber as well as some extra velcro pads to use on the scrubbing head. The attachments store inside the base station except the scrubbing head which attaches to the side. This also comes with an extra bag and filter for the vacuum. Another nice feature is the extra battery. You store/charge the battery in the top of the unit so if you need to vacuum the whole place, you won't have to worry about running out of power midway through. This works ok for cleaning out your automobile too since it's portable however it's a tab bulky to get into some corners. Last feature is the compressor. With practically all these bagless vacuums, the center filter eventually gets clogged with debris so you need to disassemble the unit and clean that out properly to ensure proper suction. There is a lever on the bin that moves up and down on the compressor which allows you to scrape off a good chunk of debris on the interior filter without needing to disassemble it which I found to be quite beneficial. You'll still need to disassemble the unit for proper maintenance however, with this cleaner, you can do it far less. Only real knock to the is the price tag. It is expensive for a vacuum and you could easily find a stick vac or even a larger corded vacuum for much cheaper. That said, this is more of a lifestyle item where you can have a great functioning vacuum and have it look good in your home.LouRevue

I have recently gotten the LG Electronics CordZero Vaccuum and love so many things about this handy device! The vacuum came with so many assorted attachments including one for pet hair and a mopping attachment. It also came with an extra battery which I love! The run time on one battery is a little over an hour if I keep it in auto mode and don't switch to Turbo. I love having that extra battery on hand and charged up the Tower when I need it. One unique feature about the CordZero is that it's handy base recharges it, stores the extra parts, battery and attachments as well as has an Auto Empty feature for cleaning out the debris from the vacuum dust bin! I love that is takes one more clean up step out of my normal routine! The tower is makes keeping all of the extra things that can be used with the vacuum so nice and tidy and in one spot for easy access. The vacuum is lightweight and the main attachment is easy to get around and under furniture. I like that the main attachment head is a bit smaller than some of the others I've seen as it can really get into tight spaces and under chairs. I love that when I turn it on, I don't have to keep holding down on a button to keep the suction going as I've had to do on vacuums I've had in the past. It does seamlessly from my hardwood to my tile to my carpet rugs and has a great Turbo mode that can be turned on for those places I worry have extra hard to reach dirt. The CordZero even has ap app that you can connect to that will show you run times. extra info on the troubleshooting and battery life. I think one of the super exciting things about the CordZero is that it has a mop attachment. Although this feature didn't live up to my expectations, I'll thrilled of the idea of a vacuum/mop combo! The mop attachment has a place to put in water and it has little round pads that velcro on to the vacuum and spin around once you start it up. You can control the amount of water that comes out (it has a low to high setting) but the problem I had was that I didn't think it really "mopped" my floor. There was moisture but it can't be used with soap or cleaner of any kind and I just don't feel like my floor are properly "mopped " with just a slight layer of water. I used the microfiber mop heads for about 15 minutes on my tile while I was trying out the mopping feature and once done, the mop heads were already frazzled and looked to be coming undone. I love the IDEA of the mop combo, but in my ideal world, it would have been able to be used with a cleaner to really get it good and clean and I would have more function in the amount of water that comes out ( I couldn't tell much difference in the low or high adjustments on the mop attachment). Also, the suction is turned off when you use the mop attachment and I would love to see a function added to be able to use the mop with water and cleaner and then have it sucked back up or go back over the water with a drying function. Again, I love the idea, but feel like the mop attachment could have some improvement to make it a 5 star product. I do like that the mop attachment has a little blue light that shines to help show you where the water is on the floor. Overall, I am thrilled with the uniqueness and creativity that this LG CordZero Vacuum brings to my home. The tower with it's multitude of functions is a real game changer in my book!hjh2c

Vacuum worked in steaks so you have to run it over the same spot over and over to get the whole even just a small area. The pet hair attachment broke pretty quickly after purchase. The accordion tubing connecting the arm tore in multiple places, we had to tape it repeatedly to retain suction because it kept breaking in different places. We have two huskies and vacuum like 2-3 times a week so it’s not like we used it incessantly. The final straw was another broken spot in the tubing which then kept disconnecting from the handheld attachment. Overall, did not stand up to any normal wear and tear, not sustainable for the price. We only had it a year.kt

You will be amazed how much your previous vacuum has missed once you start using this wonder. We have two cats and three dogs-a golden retriever and border collie who are shed machines-and I seemed to be constantly chasing hair tumbleweeds. The first time I used the vacuum on my 9x7rug, I had to empty the canister twice. That would have been two bags with the last vacuum. I just moved into a new apartment and have saved up for this Dyson and it was the best decision I have made. My new place is a 2 bed/2 bath apartment with mostly hard floors and carpets in the bedroom. After going to Dyson’s website and taking their quiz. First, I have to suggest going through Dyson’s website to purchase and not through a 3rd party (Amazon, Target, etc). Dyson offers a price match, you are ensured a warranty, if you wish to get additional attachments, you can know you are getting the correct ones. Next, after know about what model and price point I needed, I was able to look at each machine and pick out the best that would work for me, my cleaning routine, and my home. My Dyson came with so many different attachments (included!!!) but the reason I chose this one was it had different heads for one for each type of flooring, carpet or hard floors. I can remove the wand to make the attachments handheld to clean my couch, add it and a soft bristle head to clean the walls and the top corners next to my ceiling. I could go on and on. This isn’t a vacuum… this has replaced so many different tools I used to clean and, above all, my favorite part, as new apartments can come some lingering bugs, I take the head off and can stay far enough away and still catch and dump the creepy-crawlies. It is my new bug killing machine. As I said, I could write a novel about how much I love this Dyson. It was worth every penny.heather.n

First of all; I have a DC33 for almost 10 years and it is still working excellent, I had repaired a minor cosmetic issue but this is a great tool from Dyson. I really appreciate the thoughtful design of these machines and everything that Dyson produces. This is an outstanding company. Now, we bought the V8 Absolute and we are even more impressed with such beautiful design, with such a great details and mostly with the efficiency of a Dyson. The quality of the VB-Absolute is visible and tangible; this is a great investment and a great tool to implement in our home. I got a V7 in Jan 2019. Initially, and for about 1.5 yrs., I thoroughly enjoyed it. Then my housecleaner told me a charge didn't last more than 10 mins. Because I have another plug-in vacuum, I didn't think much of it at the time. Then I hired another cleaner. She brought her own vacuum so it hasn't been used at all since Jan 2022. Just in the last week, I tried to use it and it only lasted about 30 seconds. I had a very good experience with the website and service person on the phone but I have been advised that a new battery is necessary. If that is correct, I must say that I am disappointed in Dyson. I expected better performance from their machine. For a machine that is 3 1/2 yrs. old and only used perhaps 2 years of that (and not solely because I have another machine), I think the battery should last longer. And, if the cost of the battery is 1/4 of the price of the machine, I think that is even more disappointing. And, it's the cost of the battery + shipping. My carpenter husband has battery powered tools, uses them consistently and has never had to replace a battery. That knowledge doesn't help me. Is it possible that the charging station is defective? At any rate, as much as I loved it in the beginning, I'm pretty unhappy at present. I recommended my vacuum to lots of friends at first but now, I would have to tell them the whole story and what to expect.Bren

Pros: Nice and light and portable. Does not tip over like the standard Henry. Adequate on carpets with no pile using brush facility. Cons: Suction is appalling. No use if you have to Hoover a lot of animal hair, just blows hair about and redeposits it elsewhere. Battery life poor, one full battery is not sufficient for the downstairs of a small two up two down. Takes about 3 hours to charge, which is a long time considering the battery life. Metal tubing comes apart mid vacuum, which is annoying. Regret buying.Gilly

LOVE Henry/Harry!!! Friendly little chap with a FEROCIOUS appetite. He's the vacuum we should have purchased YEARS ago, instead of all those bagless, horrifyingly expensive uprights, promising to be all we needed to keep our home clean and quickly proving they just weren't up to the job. One of the most amazing points about Harry is that he doesn't blow "wet dog" odours back out as he vacuums. Now the carpets not only look spotless again but the rooms smell fresh thanks to his charcoal filter. The electric lead is really long and the dust bag is massive so, all in all, no need to keep stopping to find another socket to plug in to, rarely having to fit a new dust bag and no stopping to pull dog hair out of his special "fur" attachment, because he just keeps going.AMAZING!!!We've fallen in love with Harry. Pros: Tube too long for me as I am short, but you can remove one piece of the metal tube to reduce length. British made. Previously had two small cheap (<£70) hepa 'Hoover' cylinder vacuums which funnily enough failed two months after warranty each time! Wanted new hoover to last much longer to be kinder to landfill (eco reasons) and it seems robust enough to last longer than 2-3 years, time will tell.There must be a reason why cleaners and builders routinely choose this brand!Great suction including large bits of kiddie-crumbs. Very long lead mitigates extra weight on stairs and less time changing plug sockets. Cons: Heavier than last vacuum (it'd be hard not to be, to be fair, as last ones were light). A bit cumbersome on stairs but long lead helps with that.L

I just bought this a few weeks ago, I've been wanting one for a very long time. I have a white golden mix pup and she sheds everywhere! This vacuum sucks up her fur without issue. I would have rated with 5-stars, however, the one feature I would have loved to have was a light on the motorhead. I read on the Dyson website that it isn't a feature because "most customers vacuum during the day". I have to say I laughed out loud when I read that. I also vacuum during the day for the most part, however, not every part of my house is perfectly lit so I can ensure I pick up every strand of fur (especially during the summer when I have all of the shades closed to conserve energy and keep the house cool). So, I decided to take things into my own hands! I purchased a $5 head lamp and used a sticky tab to affix it to the motorhead. This little lamp is fierce and can be angled higher or lower. I can even fold it all the way down to reach under my furniture without it getting torn off. I've tested using with and without the light, I always leave fur behind without it, so the light is a must in my home! So far, I am very happy with how this vacuum works. The roller ball on the motorhead sticks a bit but I think that's just from fur. The best part of this vacuum is how you empty it. It has a smooth and clean dumping mechanism. I hope this lasts but I do know from experience with Dyson that their warranty works well. I don't think these warranties last as long as a corded vacuum, but hoping I won't need to find out!Yogibee73

I have four Dyson products and love all of them. I actually bought this as refurbished because I was skeptical due to charging a vacuum cleaner and purchasing full price. Don’t be fooled by the word, “refurbish”. Dyson is outstanding. There were no scratches, scuffs, and brand-new attachments with this product. I use it for daily clean-up and holds an excellent charge. It has three levels of power. I set my vacuum on level two and vacuum my hardwood floors (kitchen/dining/reading/ front entry including open stairs), tile in powder and laundry room, also carpet in the media/TV lounge area. The entire area is approximately 1300-1400 square feet. Then, I can vacuum the 2 cat towers and I am not rushing to beat the battery charge. I have a cat and Pomeranian dog. My pets are brushed/groomed 2-3 times per week. I have a full-size Dyson that I have for several years. It’s an excellent product too, but I love this Cyclone V10 and the power is outstanding. You can override any of these settings, adjust room dividers, define no-go zones, zones only for vacuuming or mopping exclusively, and more. The app will attempt to try and detect what types of obstacles exist in the room, and you can additionally place some generic furniture items on the map to better match your environment. Once you have your rooms setup, you can create different schedules based on specific rooms or have it clean the whole house. You also currently have the ability to create specific zones within rooms to go manually “spot” clean a zone if needed. You also have the ability to tie in voice control and request cleaning of specific rooms or the whole house. Quirky features, if the vacuum is connected to Wi-Fi, you can remotely check into the onboard camera and even talk and listen through the vacuum to touch base with pets or anyone else who might be nearby. The vacuum is also surprisingly quiet and its rubber coated brush does a good job at not getting all tangled up in hair. Let’s dive a touch deeper now into arguably the biggest feature of this vacuum, it’s obstacle avoidance system. We touched on the ability for the device to “map out” a floor plan, but the technology goes much deeper than that.  I don’t need to move my mats off the floor in the kitchen or the bathroom, pick my shoes up off the floor if I don’t want to or that shirt sitting over in the corner, I don’t have to worry it’s going to get stuck under at the bed because it does a great job navigating whatever it is under the bed and not only does it do a great job it identifies by taking a picture of whatever item is under there, and with a percentage of certainty it can assess what that item is not always great by does a pretty darn good job. It is by far, as other reviewers have noted, leaps and bounds …. ARTEMIS SIZE… GALACTICLY SUPERIOR to ANY other vacuum. And then, to add an amazing mop that is utilized simultaneously with the vacuuming feature, and the ability to customize from a light mop job to a extra duty session— YESSSSS nailed it in execution, nailed it in design, and nailed it in understanding the deficiencies of the current technologies on the market, and then bring the technology market 🙂 Summarized, and in general, I have been pretty darn critical of most of them tech purchases in the past 10 years because of shifty retailers, manufactures, ad campaigns, all implying, amazing features and benefits that blend into a disappointment and waste. If not a complete failure. It’s usually what is implied by the manufacture, but not stated that leaves disappointment in execution. And then, of course, there are the glaring issues, confronting consumers in the marketplace by way of the retailers, not Best Buy that don’t care about the customer enough to mandate that pro product descriptions are actually in English enough to understand but to me that basically means that a manufacture doesn’t really care about the American consumer at all because if they did, they would find somebody who speaks English enough to write a manual for whatever product and to write print and advertise that product in a way that respects the customer and doesn’t make them have to read between the lines or reword, poor grammatical errors, because of a lack of regard that upsets me more than anything so I’m very glad to have retailers that are still around like Best Buy where I know specifications for a product are going to be the specs for the product. Anyway, the bottom line is, this is a win. I’m pleased, and I have not been pleased in the product and I can say this pretty certainly in a very, very long time, so great job, Robo rock. You know this industry segment is still very young when the best robot vacuum by far which is this S7 MaxV Ultra has quite a few areas to improve on but all in all. I LOVE IT! This is advanced AI coupled with top level engineering at its finest for robot vacuum cleaners. At this point, Roborock is Roborock's biggest competitor – however, there's def room for improvement. Below is everything the bot does really well that are selling points. For the "Needs to improve" I'll indicate whether these are software fixes or hardware changes which means you'd have to wait for the next version and hope the changes are built in as part of the bots physical hardware component. Best Features – Intuitive UI & navigation software packed with useful features (3D map, 2 way calling, etc) – Ability to auto fill bot with water, auto empty dustbin and wash mop – Great battery life (my experience) – On board video camera to see where bot is cleaning – Carpet detection feature with mop auto lift – AI obstacle recognition, avoidance & tagging – Room recognition with machine learning capabilities. – Various cleaning configuration settings Needs to improve – Show water levels in app (hardware fix) – Increased suction doesn't do much for carpets. Still misses threads and small particles from time to time. I purchased this vacuum back in May/June of 2021 and have had the last 6 months to really use this thing and put it to the test and honestly- I'm not impressed. I'm already way past the return window, so I just wanted to leave a review for others so people can know my personal experience. It doesn't have the suction to pull the cleaner/water out of any rugs or carpet I own. So, we are left with wet carpet for hours after using this. It also does not clean the floors properly with the brush. It's really just moving dirty water around while only sucking up a small fraction of what I have put down. There are dirty water streaks every time I use this to mop. When using the vacuum dry, the dust and hair clog up the filter within minutes and I have to empty it multiple times while vacuuming, even though the container itself is not nearly full. I have a long haired cat, and I myself have long hair. Neither of these things have agreed with this vacuum. If you have a cat and plan on vacuuming any cat litter with this- don't. It will become a large clay litter clump in the suction tube of the vacuum that you have to get out yourself. It will also leave nasty gray streaks of litter/water on the floor. Additionally, my fallen hair gets so tangled in the spinning brush that I have to cut it off. Honestly, that might not be avoidable or the fault of the vacuum. My hair also gets caught on the sides of the spinning brush and becomes an unmanageable mess that can't be removed. This was probably my worst "big purchase" of 2021. I got the Crosswave Max as a splurge birthday present. It has since been returned for the following reasons. It is NOT convenient. Have to assemble before each use, fill with water and their solution (cannot use just water for brush head reasons), then after use have to run the brush clean function and disassemble and clean all the other parts and let them dry. So you need a dedicated area for all this, just like a full on carpet cleaner. In all that time it takes to assemble and clean up after, I can bend over and pick up or sweep up any of my toddler's mess AND warm up and use my steam mop. Going back to the brush cleaning cycle, it does not do much to clean the brush. The brush remains dirty, discoloured, and unless you soak it in detergent for at least 30 minutes with a good rinse after (blue dish soap, or laundry soap, or their solution, etc), it will remain dirty and leaves a lot of streaks and milky film on the floor the next use. I have darker floors, so it looked disgusting after the wetness dried. I would have to use my steam mop after using the crosswave and the pad would be very gross after, but atleast the floors would finally look good. It's also a slow machine to use. You basically wet the floor area going slowly so it's evenly wet and then have to go over it several times to try to dry it as much as possible. You have to do this section by section. It would take much too long to do only my kitchen, where I could sweep or vacuum and mop it in half the time. This machine is a great idea in theory, but it is not convenient or efficient and left my floors dirtier than before using it. The company states the brushes need to be replaced after ten hours of use (I did not use it nearly that long and the brush heads were awful after a short time) and they are not cheap to replace. Also have to use their solution, again not cheap. For such an expensive device, it requires a lot of additional costs and left my floors disgusting after. 0/5 stars.Melissa

Does an amazing job but is really quite heavy for a stick vac and considering previous experiences with Dyson cordless vacs–you just have to plan for it to die sooner than you'd like. This thing is HEAVY so you feel like you can skip arm day at the gym. This thing is really as big as you can possibly go cordless before it just makes sense to get a full-size or canister vacuum. I purchased this to replace my v11 that had issues with the battery staying in. The outsize + version comes with 2 batteries and the updated battery locking mechanism design shows that Dyson was listening to user complaints about previous versions of the battery. All my previous cordless Dysons died unceremoniously sooner than they should have. This Outsize+ replaced by V11 (purchased 09/2019) which replaced my 2017 V7 (purchased in 2018) , my 2016 V8 (Purchased in 2016) and my circa 2009 DC 31. I have owned 3 full-size Dyson vacuums since 2006 and all 3 are still alive and well– I would go for those over the cordless vacs, hands down IF you have the space. If you live in a smaller space or want something more portable, then the cordless vacuums are worth a look but ONLY if you also but an extended protection plan. Every cordless vacuum I've had from Dyson has died sooner than I would deem reasonable at this price point. However, if you plan in advance for the eventual demise of your pricey dirt eater…BUY the extended warranty it is worth the added expense. The laser beam thingy shows me all the dust and dirt left behind and in horrific fashion. This horrifies me to no end and I've used it only once–I seriously think there should be some sort of trigger warning to prepare you for what you might find using the laser head! The laser head will make you think you just are living in filth even if everything looks clean otherwise. This shows me dog fuzz and dust that I would rather not see, crumbs under the couch I couldn't reach and all sorts of dust I wish I could unsee. I know the point is to get things clean but this really shows you what your Roomba missed or exactly how much your fur babies shed. Not recommended to use the laser cleaning attachment under your teenager's bed (or anywhere in a child's room unless you are mentally prepared for the disgusting things kids leave behind). My kids LOVE the laser attachment for grossing out family and friends alike. I love all the other attachments for cleaning everything else and aside from feeling like I'm pumping iron every time I pick this thing up, it is my go to vacuum. Bottom line: Buy it for the convenience of a cordless vacuum that has excellent suction power but expect it to die before it should. Bonus: you also get toned biceps! Value: Very pricey especially since Dyson's cordless vacuums seem to die way too soon. Worth it IF you also have the extended warranty. Pros: Portable, massive suction for a cordless vac and–lots of accessories to clean every surface you can imagine. The Dyson Outsize+ includes almost everything that you could want with a cordless vacuum. The Outsize+ is now the third Dyson cordless I have owned (previously the 7 & 10). The jump from the 7 to the 10 was a pretty dramatic change and the change from the 10 to the Outsize+ was almost as dramatic. The 10 did a good job on carpet floors, but the Outsize+ is now comparable to a regular plugin vacuum. The laser fluffy head cleaner is one of the coolest features on the vacuum. It shines a laser light in front of the vacuum, which makes it easy to see dust and dirt that you might normally miss. However, since my house is a mixture of hard floor and carpet, I will probably use the standard MotorBar head most of the time. The MotorBar says that it is designed in a way to prevent hair tangling. I haven't had the vacuum long enough to test if that is true, but I am hopeful. Aside from the two large heads, the vacuum comes with a bunch of specialty heads that work for various purposes. I found that the Hair Screw Head works well for cleaning car carpet mats. I wish they provided examples of the best use case to use on some of the other heads, because I am not entirely sure when to use one vs the other. The vacuum comes with a mount that you can attach to the wall, and you can directly attach two of these smaller heads to the mount. The rest need to be stored in a separate location (I do wish they provided a mount that had a space for all the included heads). The vacuum also comes with not one, but two batteries. These batteries are not just standard batteries but long-life batteries. They advertise that one battery can last up to 60 mins on a full charge. Unfortunately, while these batteries allow the vacuum to have a great run time, they also make the vacuum very heavy. I think some people will have a hard time trying to use the vacuum to clean things above the floor. I wish instead of two long life batteries, there was a shorter but much lighter battery included with the unit. Overall, the Outsize+ is a great vacuum. The long-life batteries are great if you have a large home. However, the extra weight of the Outsize+ may be a turn off for some people. I would have preferred to sacrifice some runtime for a lighter weight. I also wish Dyson would offer a hold function so you don’t have to keep your finger on the trigger to keep it active.MikeyJFla

I am new to this type of vacuums. The technology seems amazing and super friendly for households since it packs a tremendous succión power with a pleasant low noise environment and easy handling. The design and functionality of all the attachments and main unit is truly revolutionary. For all that, the high price (compared to similar equipment from other brands) is somehow tolerable. Seriously, paying over a thousand dollars for a vacuum is a decision not taken lightly. But when you see the results from that first time tests, a sense of relief comes to you. The downside here is that you are paying a premium on the technology itself but not on the product overall. This vacuum is constructed with the cheapest possible plastic material Dyson could find out in China. It is scary manipulating the unit with the sensation that a wrong turn or an accidental fall from the hands will break this vacuum in thousand pieces. Honestly, I do not see the usability of this product (based on the quality of the material) beyond 2-3 years if left in a high temperature garage, or exposed to the elements in your back porche or if it is not handled with extreme care, which I don’t think should be a factor when using a vacuum cleaning. In a fair comparison with another premium product like Kirby (similar usability, functionality, and price) I prefer by far this Dyson unit, admitting, however, that it is very likely, that Dayton Outside Absolute (for awesome it is) will not last the 10 years that Kirby has given me without a single problem with the same results (although the noise, the heavy weight, the outdated look and the lack of cool technology where Dyson shines as a King)OG4Delta

I used to have a Bissell Healthy Home 5770, and this is a huge step down. The one improvement it has is that the power button is not near the handle, so I don't keep accidentally turning it off. For perspective on the following, my house is 1200 sq ft of wood floor with one 5×8 area rug. The negatives are: – Single side suction – It is so lightweight that it doesn't stick to the floor when I'm driving it along the rug. – The dust bin is too small, and not easy to empty. The debris can get stuck in crevices, requiring complete dis-assembly of the bin to empty. I had to handle very dusty parts to remove all of the contents. – The power cord is too short. – The hose is WAY too short. Specs say 6 feet, but it is about 3 when not stretched. Any amount of stretching topples the lightweight vacuum. – The extender attachment is also extremely short. Even with the crevice tool attached I have to bend all the way over to reach baseboards, and I am only 5'1". – The way the hose plugs into the vacuum housing is not very secure, and the port seems flimsy like it will break if I plug it in too firmly. – Bare floor setting is not low enough. – Beater continues to rotate even when I am using the hose & attachments – Overall seems flimsy The positives: – Cool color – Power switch not on the handle – Has a turbo brush, great for upholstery Overall, this might be good for a small apartment with all wood or tile flooring (except the bare floor setting is too high).Susan

When I first got this vacuum I was head over heels for it. Now, almost two years later, I'm wondering if it's finally time to find a replacement. It's definitely a great vacuum for homes with a lot of carpet (such is the case with my townhome), but I couldn't tell you how many times this thing has fallen over and hit me while I was using the hose/TurboBrush! My previous Bissell (lasted 19 years) had a hook at the bottom for the hose so the whole thing would stay upright, but this newer model lacks that much needed safety feature. Suction power is great, but you can definitely notice a drop once your bin starts getting full — Especially if you haven't cleaned it out completely by taking it apart and getting all the fine dust that gets stuck near the top / cyclonic area. Also make sure you clean the foam filter! I vacuum almost every day and wash mine every week. Both filters get replaced every 2-3 months. Not impressed with the TurboBrush, since it basically doesn't spin if you put any pressure on it. I also have to keep taking it apart to fix the paddle wheel, which sticks after a while because fine hair gets wrapped around the small metal rods that hold it up. Avoid if you have mostly bare floors. The base brush doesn't stop spinning, so debris comes flying back at you. I just use a broom to sweep things to the edges and suck it up with the hose.April
