Reviews:
I LOVE DYSON. It’s been a love affair for @15 or so years. I had the V-6 and made an excuse that college child needed so I could get the V-11animal. No one in my house were allowed to use. It WAS my baby – empty nester at the time. I bought it shortly after it first came out so it has the screwed in battery. I needed a cordless vacuum that was able to pick up Belgian Malinois Shepard fur from H _ _ _, easy to use, lighter than a full vacuum BUT WORK AS WELL OR BETTER than a full-size – I have chronic back pain and fibromyalgia and numbness… Yes in my crazy perfect vacuum dream world this existed and it DID! Thanks Dyson! It checked EVERY box of my needs, well except price. It was the most I have ever spent on something for me but dang it I deserved it and NEEDED it. It has been absolutely incredible! I would have told you 2 years ago do whatever you need to and buy bc it has incredible suction, awesome holders for tools with wall mount and on pole, adjustable suction on torque floor tool, adjust able power – Eco for low dirt area, Auto and Boost for deeper and stronger suction. So those are PROS. CONS are you need to press trigger to power it so with my neuropathy in hands at times I cannot vac, need to remove any attachments to empty dirt bin, after @8-12 months the bin empty slide started to stick, and then at 2 years (WARRANTY EXPIRED) and @5 months it started to shut off and then turn on. Called customer support and and they did a video troubleshoot and said it’s the battery. Well no battery in stock. Actually ABSOLUTELY ZERO SPARE PARTS for my baby have been in stock for over a month now! A week or so later it stopped more and then shut down. Called again and told it was the cyclone part (a guy on YouTube had same exact issue but his warranty was still active) BUT NO PART available. He told me to call or go to my nearest Dyson service center. Well the nearest in @1.25hrs. away. I do not have a car – getting divorced so I took my Dyson V11 animal and he got our 25 y/o car worth about the same. He fought for my V11 which was honestly a no win – I don’t know what he was thinking. Lol Plus the service center when I finally reached a person said that maybe it’s the trigger and I could mail it in. I still haven’t decided bc why pay to ship something that there’s no parts for? I am very disappointed and very upset bc it was a great machine.Freeme68
I rarely ever leave reviews but this thing is great! This is my first Dyson purchase and I have a German Shepard mix who sheds constantly, this V11 handles his hair with ease. I love the flexibility to use it anywhere with the attachments that are included, my personal favorite is the mini motorized tool. The simple design makes it easy to clean and maintenance. This thing picks up dirt that you don’t even see, especially in carpets and area rugs. I am also one who cares about packaging and this thing is packaged perfectly. The only downside, like all electronics is the battery life. 5 to 6 minutes on boost mode is not enough for a vacuum of this cost. I would like to see Dyson sell an additional king power cord that can be used to power the vacuum directly more like a traditional vacuum if needed for those of us with bigger houses with lots of carpeted areas.Jxustin
After reading these reviews I can't help but think that these machines are designed to last for roughly 2.5 years. My machine did the exact same thing that others have written about. I purchased this machine back in January 2020, about a month ago it started cutting off during use. The cutting off started getting more frequently to the point where the machine stays on for about 2 seconds before cutting off which makes it inoperable. So I call the service center to be told that my machine is out of warranty as of January 2022 and a replacement motor will cost $116. It is really unfortunate that a $700 machine is designed to last 2.5 years before you have to put more money into it. The sad part about it is that most people will pay the $116 because you can not get a new decent vac for that price and secondly, you have already invested $700 in this machine. It is very disheartening, and I wish I would have went with a different brand.Trise

Reviews:
I’ve never in my life owned a Dyson but I finally decided to splurge and I’m glad I did! Here are my first impressions after getting up at the crack of dawn excited to test it out haha! It’s much quieter than I thought which is appreciated for those early morning cleanups after my toddler makes a mess but my older daughter is still sleeping. That laser is amazing but terrible at the same time…holy lord the stuff it was bringing to my attention was wild. I love the attachments and the one that lets you make it a 90 angle to go right under couches and furniture…chefs kiss. The floor dok is also a really nice feature as I don’t really have somewhere to mount it to the wall. It’s definitely heavier than I anticipated it to be. I do find I’m switching arms a lot so for someone who may be older or limited mobility it may be a bit cumbersome. I don’t hate that you have to press the button constantly to keep it on as it’s easier when you need to stop and go, but I do find it a bit awkward and my hand is a touch sore. I had it fully charged and used it for just over an hour and it’s now dead; I accomplished two floors, two sets of stairs and a couch set in that time. I only have hard floors besides two area rugs which are ruggables, and with the laser brush it has to be on eco otherwise it pulls them up. The other head it comes with does not work at all over ruggables. I don’t have any other ‘carpet’ so I cannot speak to its abilities with that. There are so many attachments this model comes with but there’s no where to store them – I would like to see some extra attachments for the floor dok to store them all. All in all though, highly satisfied with my purchase. I feel as though this is a prime example of “pay for what you get”. It’s a hefty price tag but I suspect this will last me years!Lindz02
This vacuum has the best suction and with 2 golden retrievers I need it but here are the cons It’s heavy and you have to hold in the switch to keep it running guessing this is to preserve the battery. All of the weight of the vacuum as at your wrist and hand and while 4.5 lbs doesn’t seem like much as you are holding it and the on button it is very stressful to your arm wrist and hand. When moving from hardwood to shag (I have all hardwood and two 8×10 shag type area rugs) the beater bar stops and the machine quits working even when you stop and move it to the highest setting so it won’t vacuum my area rugsI can’t even hardly push it through the carpet. I can let it and set it down and pull it. . It will do low pile rugs. Then it won’t stand up on its own you have to lean it on something or never stop vacuuming. I can get through most of my house 1400 square foot with the light before it dies or moves to eco. The head does not easily release to use just the end to get into tight spaces or replace with another attachment. The cord for the battery is actually quite short if you’re hoping to plug it in a closet or hide away place. Sleek as it may seem I don’t want a vacuum hanging up as decor so I’m going to have to add a plug somewhere out of sight. The pros are the light and suction provided you can really get every hair and see all dust if your room is not to bright the light really shows everything I turn down the lights to vacuum crazy I will definitely not buy another and totally regret this purchase for the price it really should come with two batteries and be able to vacuum carpet. I apologize in advance if I missed that in description could be my fault maybe it was never intended for them.Lynda
I waited almost a year for the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute (also known by other names in UK/AUS markets) to come back into stock. By the time Dyson Rewards came back for 2022 it was well worth the free Dok and extra tools. Dubbed Dyson’s most powerful cordless Vacuum (for now until/if Gen5 arrives on North American shores), the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute is no slouch at peak 230AW. However running on these settings, are also it’s biggest flaw. At full boost, the battery will run down in sub 10 minutes, although clever marketing might make it seem like you’d get a full 60 minutes if you don’t read carefully. The auto settings are a good happy medium, with the Dyson able to detect if it needs to allocate a quick boost to suck up more stubborn/larger particles, however for legacy Dyson users (used to the superior and non time limited 306 AW) or people who like the power of a commercial vacuum, it can leave you a little wanting. To test whether or not the boost vs auto made much of a difference, I tested with the lights off, and vacuumed a standard hardwood floor. Dyson adverts typically show the user walking in a straight line seamlessly sucking up the path ahead, so this was the approach taken to ensure accurate repro. On auto, at first look, the Dyson missed some areas on first pass, as well as struggled with elevated parts of the flooring. Boost picked up particles no problem, but at the expense of the battery life. The laser sees *everything* missed, but also might make you even more of a clean freak. For spot checking (on plush animals, furniture and cushions), boost worked well and I could complete most tasks within the 10 minute time constraints. 4.5 hours seems like a long time to wait before being able to use the device again however especially with quick charge technology available in 2022. Pros: • Best Cordless Dyson in North America today. • Laser is amazing. • LED is great for toggling between settings and validating the work that has been done. • Boost is nothing to scoff at. Cons: • Very short battery life on boost. • Tool clip and nozzle shipped in *free additional tools* non-compatible. • As with most Dyson products, the fact they are made from silicon/plastic works as a magnet to attract dust and I find dust on the exterior of the housing on most days. One last piece, not exclusively related to the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute, but related to the items received in the bundle, the tool (specifically the noozle), did not fit flush in the tool clip which allows you to connect 2x tools to either the dock or the wand. I tried alternating all tools, angles, tightness of the clip, and still could not get the nozzle to fit without protruding (show in image), so came to the conclusion this is was missed in their considerations design. There is another nozzle (and light nozzle) which should fit onto the tool clip, but this did not ship in the tool bundle, and, would cost additional to buy. Either the tool clip needs to be redesigned to compensate for the added rim around the nozzle shipped or, this should be remedied through replacement program. • Not too heavy (can also be held with both hands for added weight distribution).

Reviews:
So I've owned a Ball Animal 2 for about 3 yrs and have had a love/hate relationship with it. And having owned the Ball Animal 3 for almost a month now, I can honestly say I still have a love/hate relationship with this brand. I purchased the Animal 3 because I was glad to finally see that Dyson opted to change the Cleaning Head to what the UK variant has had for awhile now, which is having a carpet height selector. Now I really have to say that the Animal 3 has so much better suction with having the carpet height selector, but that also has a negative that I've found. I find it very difficult to turn now compared to the Animal 2 which turned on a dime. I will for sure keep it as I don't want to jump through the hoops of returning it, but I don't believe I will be making any future Dyson vacuum purchases in the future after this experience. The cost of these vacuums is very much on the high side and with that you would expect that they would do their own inhouse study/testing and they seem to have failed at this. In the end it basically comes down to the fact that the negatives outweigh the positives when compared to what you expect when making such an expensive purchase. Yes the suction is probably the best you'll ever have with any vacuum on the market BUT with negative costs. Being a "BALL" vacuum and unlike the Animal 2 that could turn easily, this thing is a major struggle to turn… NOT GOOD! The Animal 3 also has the same issues like the Animal 2 in that trying to use the hose is a chore on it's own. The suction is just so strong that you basically need to have the vacuum right next you or end up having to do things like… prop the vacuum around the corner of a wall and then stretch out the hose while also having some decent arm and upper body strength to do so with even minimal comfort. The "Cyclone" portion of the vacuum is a very poor design. Due to a common static charge while vacuuming, it allows for dust to build up in massive clumps within the Cyclone piece. You need to constantly bang the heck out of this piece while over a trash can in order to keep it even somewhat clean. And they don't make it so the Cyclone can be easily disassembled for cleaning which is a huge disappointment and failure within it's design. I also find it upsetting that even though Dyson offers a TON of accessories for these upright models… they don't offer one of the most common of accessories… a basic dusting brush! Yes it comes with a combo tool for crevice and dusting. They even offer a wide variety of other dusting attachments… ones that can twist for angled dusting, one that can bend etc etc… but then not your basic common everyday short dusting brush that's found on 99.9% of vacuums since they were invented. Really boggles my mind. No lie… since I still have the Animal 2, I took the combo tool from that one and ended up cutting off basically 80% of the crevice tool portion to make my own "basic short dusting brush!". Dyson if your listening: You should have listened to your customer base and address the issue with the hose being difficult to use. I'm sure there has to be a solution… maybe a hose that's not as stiff? Look into my "home modification" of the basic short dusting brush and release a factory version. And please look into the problem of the Animal 3 being so much harder to turn compared to the Animal 2.MotionMan
Dyson products seem to always be ones made to delight. I really enjoyed this vacuum which is an upgrade for my family over a Dyson – Cinetic Big Ball Animal Bagless Upright Vacuum – Iron/Purple that purchased from Best Buy 6 years ago. 6 years later and Dyson's vacuums are still amazing, this one has strong suction that you expect from the name and is somewhat smaller and more compact that the predecessor. I think it runs quieter too although I have not used the deicbel app to compare quantitatively. The smaller size means that there are spots in the corners and around furniture that are now easier to vacuum than before but the head itself sits taller, tall enough that I can no longer vacuum underneath the chairs and couches. The reason for the change in headsize is actually the main draw of this vacuum — the head has been completely redesigned so as to prevent the bunching of pet hair within the bristles. As we have a dog and two cats sharing the house with us, this has been a pain point in the past. Even our dysons need to be taken apart and cleaned of fur at least every 6 weeks so that they continue to run smooth. The early results from a weekend of vaccuming are very promising: the bristles are still out-of-the-box new despite several passes over our house that had gone embarrasingly long between vacuums prior delivery of a new machine. I'm hopeful that this is another part of cleaning that Dyson has made slightly easier.BostonBru
GOOD – Long cord – Good suction – End-user serviceable design – Fairly compact BAD – Doesn't steer as easily as other swivel heads – Fixed extension wand can get in the way – Cleaning on hard floors could be better – Runs hot DETAILS Dyson vacuums are well known for their performance and reliability. My experience with this rendition of their Ball design bears that out, and I've been largely pleased with it. The Animal version of the Ball is marketed specifically at people with pets, to clean up the hair from carpets and furniture. I find it's also handy if you or the people you live with have long hair. In general, it cleans quite well. It has very powerful suction and the power bar base has three settings for deep pile carpet, normal carpet, and hard floors. The power bar itself can also be toggled on and off. I found it cleaned my carpets quite well, though cleaning my hardwood left a little to be desired ( the instruction manual recommends turning the power bar off for this, I'm not sure why ). It also has a very generous cord length. And though Dyson created the Ball design specifically to make it easier to steer the vacuum around corners and obstacles, I find it much stiffer to turn than other current swivel head vacuums. I appreciate Dyson's design in the vacuum. It's fairly modular, making it relatively easy to service and maintain yourself, provided you can get a replacement part. The filters are washable so you can reuse them instead of constantly buying new replacements. It also keeps things slim and trim so the vacuum is a little more compact than other full-size uprights. This particular model also comes with two extra attachment tools. One is an upholstery brush/cleaner, the other is a pet grooming tool that's supposed to suck up the shedded hair as you brush. How well your pet will handle being brushed near a vacuum remains to be seen. But sometimes I think it tries to be too clever. It uses a friction snap instead of a pedal to release the vertical lock. It's usually fine, but it also means you can accidentally release the upright lock when you don't want to, like if you want to tilt the vacuum back and roll it somewhere or even if you pick it up and then set it down. The extension wand is stored inside the hose in the main column. This is nice for reducing the exterior dimensions, but it also means you have to unwind the entire cord and slide out the entire wand when you want to do some quick spot cleaning. You can detach the wand from the hose if you don't need or want the reach, like in a small corner or nook, but in those moments where you just want to quickly clean up some cookie crumbs or dust bunnies, it's more involved than you might be used to. The main handle is also reversed to accommodate the extension wand, putting the main column below your hand instead of above it when you're using the vacuum. This means the vacuum tilts back farther than others when using it. For myself, I found my legs and knees bumped into main unit a lot since it was now leaning more toward me. Most of these complaints are small quirks, admittedly. They may or may not matter to you. All in all, it's a well built vacuum, it cleans well, and it stores easily. It does have a few quirks and the "exhaust" air is quite hot, but these are minor complaints on an otherwise great vacuum.Jaron

I have an older, corded Dyson which is still a workhorse. But since it is quite heavy and I am older, I can no longer easily carry it up and down stairs. So this corded one now stays upstairs which is carpeted, and the V12 Detect Slim is perfect for downstairs which is all tile/hardwood. I have 2 very fluffy cats which shed a lot – constantly – and will sometimes scatter litter when covering their waste. I tried another stick vacuum which was great for about a year, but then started dropping the litter back down and out onto the floor again so this was frustrating and useless. Back to Dyson and so far so very good. The one small feature that helped me finally make the choice of the V12 Detect Slim is the "on/off" button over the trigger in the other models. I have a bit of arthritis in my hands and the trigger would probably not be comfortable for me. I also love the laser attachment to find all the litter scatter pieces that are not easily seen but certainly are felt by bare feet. I've only had this vacuum for a short while and have not tried all of the attachments yet but am hopeful that my furniture will be cleaner of cat hair just as my floors seem to be. Yes, the dust bin is small, but it's so easy to detach and empty I don't find that to be an issue for me. As long as the V12 Detect slim keeps holding the litter in this bin, I will keep singing its praises. I also bought the standing Dok and love this. Would just like a holder of some sort to attach to the stand for holding more of the attachments. So, considering how well my older, corded vacuum has performed and continues to perform, I'm hopeful for similar performance from the V12 Detect Slim.SueD12
I was very excited to get the Dyson V12 Detect Slim Cordless Vacuum Cleaner, especially since I have had such great experiences with other Dyson products. Packaging and assembly with a breeze pretty self explanatory. I was impressed from the start with how lite it was, which made is very convenient for the stairs in our house. It was easy enough for the kids to carry around and use too, which is always a plus! I found it fairly easy to use for over head tasks too. I liked that it only has a single button power control. The LCD screen is probably my favorite feature. It shows you what has been lifted on the different surfaces, it is clear and easy to understand. In fact at one point it wasn’t functioning properly and the LCD screen told me what the problem was right away and I was able to fix it right away. I love that I didn’t have to trouble shoot it and take the whole thing apart to figure out the problem. It came with some neat attachments, the fluffy yellow and purple roller that is perfect for our wooden and tile floors, it had no problem fitting under our dining table and coffee table, this saved me time from having to move the furniture around. It comes with a wall dock that provides a way to easily store all the components while charging it as well. It included a neat hair screw tool, the allows you to pick up pet hair making pet spaces easy and fast to keep clean. They have a new design on the motorbar which helps to detangle long hair, eliminating the need for me to take it apart to cut out tangled hair like I have had to with other vacuums. You can select from the three cleaning modes depending on what job you are tackling. The waste bin is super easy to empty, simply point it in the trash can and push the lever to release the dirt. It is quick and straight to the point and I didn’t have to tough anything so my hands never got dirty. I love that it gives you 60 minutes of charge unlike previous machines that gave my around 20 minutes, also I found that the battery did a great job of holding the charge even when it was not in use or plugged in. The only “con” I would say I found was that if you doing a bigger job like cleaning more that a few rooms at a time, you have to stop and empty out the bin more often perhaps because it is a smaller unit but if you don’t mind that it really isn’t an issue. I would absolutely recommend this product to my friends and family.knamed2016
I have 3 (now 4) Dyson vacuums, I have the Airwrap and it is so awesome I wanted to try their other products. I purchased my first used D6 from eBay, I wanted to try one to see if it worked as well as it was claimed. I liked it but wanted a newer so I gave that one to my son and saved up and went with the V10 model (which I still have and still love), I then purchased the canister (refurbished) for deep cleaning items like furniture because the V10 would only go about 30 minutes and that was frustrating to me. I wanted something with a swappable battery but did not want to spend another $600 so when the small one (Omni Glide) came out I got it from Best Buy and found some extra attachments on ebay for it (mini motorized tool) and that one was excellent for day to day and my car, the battery lasts forever and is swappable, but I never needed a second for that one. My daughter borrowed it (she cleans houses) and she loved it so I let her keep it and found this one, which is in the middle of the 2 I have. I think the laser might send my OCD into overdrive because it showed everything on the floor when it looks clean without it. It is crazy how much dust it shows. I am glad I can turn it off if I choose, but I have not done that. IMO this is the best of the 5 I have tried. The battery seems to last, but it is swappable so when they are available I will be buying an extra. But so far I am using eco mode mostly and the battery lasts longer than I expected. The suction even on eco is better than my D10, my D10 does not suck up the throw rugs, but this one does. I wish I could adjust the suction to lower for this reason but all around this is a great cordless. I like the power switch because it makes it easier when using some of the attachments, not having to hold the trigger, but I am torn as I also like the trigger switch and miss it a little.M00nbeam

Reviews:
Vacuum cleaners have slowly been making the transition from uprights that you drag around the floor (common design for many decades) into hand-held models, both wired and battery powered wireless. There are many similarities between makes and models, but Dyson has decided to up the game with their new “Dyson Outsize” model. The Dyson Outsize is big… VERY big, for a hand-held. The dust and dirt collection bin is 150% larger (or more) than most other models on the market, and the roller/cleaner head is 25% larger as well. As a result, you can in theory, vacuum your whole house without having to stop in-between rooms to empty a small bin, as this one is large enough to handle most homes without stopping. The larger cleaner head also means fewer passes over a floor to cover the same ground compared to smaller units. Two batteries were included with my unit, so in theory you can also do that same house without having to recharge (well… maybe – more later). I wasn’t wanting for accessories. Mine came with the larger cleaner head, a small power head for cleaning furniture, three dust/brush ends that would be good for small furniture or cars, and a thin longer crevice tool, also good for cars or behind cushions, etc. The main extension wand, two batteries, two chargers, and a wall hanging unit completed a very full box. Note, there is NO floor stand included as with some other brands (boo) – just a bracket you can screw into your wall to hang the Dyson from when not in use. I didn’t need to really read the instructions for assembly – literally you just snap the extender into the main dust bin body, and snap whichever end tool you want to that, and once the batteries are charged and you attach one to the handle, you are ready to go. Pulling the trigger starts the unit and a small, round display screen facing you tells you which power level you’re using (auto mode, eco, or boost), as well as gives you a per-minute estimate on how long your battery will last before giving out. Dyson’s claim to fame on their models is that they will maintain full suction power until the battery dies, as opposed to weakening as the battery does, and I found this to be pretty much the case. Eco mode is for light cleaning (I found this best for harder non-carpeted floors) and gives you about 60 minutes of run time per full battery charge. Auto mode will vary the power depending on type of surface and need – more of a medium/normal clean, and gives you roughly 20-40 minutes of run time (I averaged around 30 minutes). Boost mode is a lot more powerful for deep cleaning, but, hold on… at best you’ll get 5-8 (or so) minutes from the battery using this mode. The batteries are pretty hefty in size and weight, and take about 3 ½ hours to charge (each). The Outsize is powerful. It did pull up dirt from my carpet that a lesser model missed, especially in boost mode. The auto mode did a little better than many others, and the eco mode again is just for light cleaning which I found to be best picking up crumbs from the kitchen wood floor (the cleaner head adjusts automatically for floor type). It was reasonably quiet, and the HEPA filter near the top of the bin filtered the air well, though it did create a “breeze” that knocked a few sheets of paper off of nearly tables as I passed. In terms of cleaning power and battery life so long as I kept it on auto or eco, I consider this to be a very good machine. Now… one thing: SIZE. As said earlier, this is a very large hand-held vacuum. By the time I got near the end of my house, my arm could definitely feel that I had been carrying a larger machine around. Not really a huge issue for me, but if you are buying this for someone else such as an older relative, a smaller person, or someone who’s not the strongest person around, they may have issues with the size and/or weight. I have few other complaints about the Dyson Outsize, but one is as mentioned earlier, the lack of an included floor stand, which some other brand models have. Not everyone is able to hang this from their wall (or if in a rental/apartment, you may not wish to screw a wall mount into the wall). A floor stand is, in my opinion, more convenient, so it would have been nice to see one included. Last, the price. Dyson is a premium vacuum brand, and you do pay for that. It does come with a full two year warranty (personally I wish it were more like 5 years at this price point). Only you can decide if it fits into your budget or not, but again, it is a very good machine. So, with the considerations you’ll need to take with size/weight/budget, I do recommend the Dyson Outsize.AtlantaGreg
This review is going to compare it to our older V10 Absolute. 1. Tools included in Outsize Absolute version are: High Torque XL cleaner head – provides better coverage (tool is wider) and also picks up dirt better than 'Direct Drive' on V10 – It adapts to the surface and speeds up or slow downs based on the resistance.. Laser Slim Fluffy™ cleaner head – this is much better than 'Soft roller' on V10. Laser seems like gimmick but actually helps finding missed spots on flat surfaces. Hair screw tool – works better than Mini motorised tool from V10 Combination tool – same as on V10 Quick-release mini soft dusting brush – same as on V10 Crevice tool – same as on V10. 2. Battery life Compared to our Dyson V10 its it has much better battery life – each setting lasts substantially longer than on V10 and with better suction. Battery in Outsize is swappable and second battery is included in the box so you you can swap it any time you run out of juice. Conveniently two chargers are in the box as well so you can have one attached permanently to docking station and you can use second one to charge second battery at the same time. Spare battery and battery life makes it very convenient even for large houses where V10 might not last long enough for full cleaning. 3. Size/weight Outsize is significantly larger (haven't measured) and heavier than V10 (2.4kg vs 1.6kg). Suction is better than on V10 probably at least partially because of that and you don't have to empty it as often but at the price of vacuum being more bulky and less convenient as cordless device. Generally this makes the Outsize much more convenient for large surfaces/floors but less convenient for hard to reach places, stairs etc. My wife still haven't decided if weight/size justifies the improvements but kids always pick V10 over Outsize when cleaning. 4. Other notes Tools are compatible between both versions. Same tool tested on both vacuums works better on Outsize than on V10 which I think can be attributed to better suction on Outsize compared to V10. Docking station is not compatible between V10 and Outsize due to different size of battery. Display on the back is nice addition and gives you graphical overview of remaining charge and after few seconds of continuous use shows estimated time so you have good indication how long battery will last. Button on back of Outsize to select modes is much more convenient than slider selector on V10. Tools are compatible between both versions. Same tool tested on both vacuums works better on Outsize than on V10 which I think can be attributed to better suction on Outsize compared to V10. Noise is very similar on the same settings between V10 and Outsize.Arek
I just received this Tuesday and so far I like it. I told myself if I didn’t have a life changing moment, I would return it for the price of this thing. I’ve been vacuum shopping for over a year since giving my vacuum away. I have all tile floors and I’m old school, so I can work a broom and mop lol. I figured I’d be okay and would get a really good one later. Well, later finally arrived!! I did some research and read a lot of reviews and decided on this one. I have a steam mop with a light and I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to come across a spot of missed dust in a corner. Off top, I knew the 2 brush heads and attachments would be exactly what I needed to combat the surface dirt and dust. I binged vacuumed my whole 3 bedroom apartment yesterday testing this thing out… I vacuumed appliances, vents, ceiling fans, area rugs, windows, base boards, furniture, etc. I did have to charge the chargers twice because I used them down to 0% using all three modes (depending on the area), but did not charge fully as I was not waiting the 3.5 hours. My second charges started with about 75% each charge. With that being said, I’m sure I can finish all my floors in one session. I typically vacuum main areas all together and then rooms separately. This was an abnormal cleaning session and I was just all over the place geeked. This thing is hands down an efficient tool. Definitely 5 stars for efficiency. There are so many tools for every job, and this really picks up the dust. I’m not sure how it does it because it handles so smoothly and is not very loud. The suction does not death grip the surfaces but is able to smoothly glide along and hit the particles just right to clean them up. It picks up bigger particles as well and it picked up a small clusters of dog hair from our Yorkie. She does not shed a lot but sometimes her hair will gather in a corner. Just for comparison for other dog owners. It does not kick particles back out over the floor at all. It’s a one pass for all tools as well, not just the brush rolls. Going over the base boards was really easy whereas before I was cleaning them with cleaner solution and a rag. My only gripe is that the Outsize is HEAVY!!! It really is. It’s easy to push over the floor and carpet but actually lifting the thing up to dust ceiling fans was treacherous. I am going to get a stepping stool to see if that helps not having to reach as high. I will continue to brain storm how to use the reach tools to shorten the actual reach of my arm. I think that will be the ultimate solution is finding new ways to reach the crevices as comfortably as possible. Storage and space wise, this thing is awesome. I just mounted my wall bracket and will be picking up the stand today. I will like using the stand in each room while I’m vacuuming instead of trying to set the thing down or lean it somewhere safe. So, I would recommend buying the stand. Overall, I would say get it! The price is steep but I’ve never had a vacuum cleaner that cuts my cleaning time by more than half so I feel that it’s worth the investment. This is my first stick vac ever and it’s exactly what I wanted, but I have nothing to compare it to. I just know the reviews I read are pretty spot on. I’m looking forward to years of use and using this vacuum in my new home (in the future).Lisa36

Reviews:
As a long time Dyson user I have been extremely impressed by this new vacuum that Samsung has put out. The features, ease of use, and overall aesthetics fit the Samsung brand perfectly and does not leave anything to be desired. Diving first into the aesthetics this vacuum fits perfectly into any room as it looks very modern and upon first glance I`ve had guests ask what it was. The cradle for the accessories is also an extremely nice feature as I am able to keep all the attachments right there and neatly organized. Upon first turning the vacuum on the digital display is also very straightforward and refined. Moving right into the actual use of the vacuum though this thing is both lightweight and powerful! I have both hardwood and carpeted floors and with all of the attachments provided this vacuum is able to tackle anything thrown at it. I have two dogs to which the "pet tool" worked amazing for picking up all of the wonderful pet hair throughout my house. I won`t go into all the tools, but I do want to mention the "flex tool" because I really like how that tool can bend 90 degrees in order to get to the top of my fridge and cabinets with ease. The other amazing aspect is how lightweight this vacuum is with the amount of power it puts out as it is extremely lightweight and does not feel bulky in the slightest. There are two additional standout features with this vacuum. The first is rather simple in that Samsung has provided two batteries that are even able to be charged simultaneously. This may not sound as revolutionary as you would expect, but it definitely is an extremally nice feature. The other that is the standout feature of this vacuum is the "Cleaning Station" as the vacuum is able to be emptied into the dock at the press of a button. After using this feature it is something I ask why this has not been considered before as robot vacuums have had this feature for a couple years now. Overall, you really can't go wrong with this vacuum from the ease of use and outstanding features to the overall aesthetics. This vacuum has definitely been swapped with my Dyson as my everyday vacuum and the Bespoke style aesthetics has me looking into the matching kitchen appliances.MRWilson
Summary: This vacuum is great! It is a fashionable appliance that works well for multiple situations. It is full of convenience features and probably the coolest vacuum I have ever owned. Pros: Looks amazing High suction Easy maintenance Lots of included accessories Self cleaning Decent battery life Cons: Dust storage bags not widely stocked Vacuum head is not very wide so takes a little longer to clean a space Unboxing / Setup: Initial unboxing and assembly is a load of parts and accessories. The main unit requires minor assembly with the vacuum motor, storage stand, and whichever accessory you want it to be equipped with. There is also an accessory stand with secure attachment points for all included accessories (pet brush, narrow nozzle, fabric nozzle, extra battery + charger). Last, you will find basic documentation. Setup is easy as there is no wifi or any connectivity. Simply plug all the pieces into the right spot, ensure the battery(s) are charged and you are good to go. Build quality & use: In short, impressive. It is mostly high quality plastic but that blue color is lovely. It hangs from the charging / cleaning stand and is a conversation starter as it has an aesthetic that is meant to be displayed in the home, not tucked away in the closet. All parts snap into their storage or in the unit with a secure fit. The display is low res but practical with a simple black and white LCD that tells you the basic information for suction mode and remaining battery. Most cleaning can be done with the medium setting but HI and JET are available for hard-to -clean jobs. I like to use JET for cleaning the car as some items can get stuck in the fabric and it does a great job getting those. Battery life is good, a single charge will last any cleaning job but you will definitely need to charge at the end, especially if you are using higher suction levels. In the event you happen to run out of battery, there is an included second battery for you to swap out that charges on the accessory stand. Cleaning: Cleaning is cool. The brush in the vacuum head is easy to clean with more of a rubber design so it does not get much hair tangled in it like a brush head would do. When you connect the vacuum to the base station, you press a button and it empties the reservoir into a storage bag inside the base station in a very satisfying manner. The only downside to this is the bag has to be changed out every so often (have not had to in my few weeks of use so far) and the bags can only be purchased from Samsung for about $39.betancd
I live in a 3500 sq ft farm house, with no carpet, a handful of rugs, multiple pets, and red clay mud. This review is based on a month of use and abuse for the Samsung Bespoke Jet Cordless Stick Vacuum. The vacuum arrived well packaged, with minimal assembly required. The setup is easy and intuitive, it took less than 10 minutes for my 11 year old son to get it set up and I'm positive he didn't use instructions to do so. In the box is the cleaning station with power cord, accessory caddie with power cord for charging your backup battery, accessories, vacuum, batteries, and extra HEPA filtration bag. The accessories include a telescoping wand, pet hair tool, crevice tool, soft bristle tool, and a flex tool for getting places that requires more of an angle. One of my many favorite features is the fact that you can mix and match combinations as needed. If you do not need the telescoping wand, don't use it, instead you can attach the accessory directly under the waste bin. This is great for vacuuming out vehicles! My next favorite feature is the charging caddie. All accessories have a dedicated spot in the caddie, where they lock into place. There is also a charging slot for the battery on the caddie, meaning you'll always have a backup battery ready to go when needed. This is my first vacuum with a cleaning station, and it is, 1000%, a game changer. Before my children would use a vacuum until the canister was so packed with junk that it was impossible to get clean, or to empty without having to manually pull the dirt and hair out of the canister. With the All In One Clean Station, you place the vacuum on the station, hit the button and the suction opens the canister and pulls the debris into the HEPA bag, stored out of sight within the station. The suction will pulse to get all of the debris, including hair wrapped around the filter. Once the debris is removed, the suction can be turned off, and you can then use the station as easy, compact storage as well as a charger for the vacuum. The only learning curve is to remember to close the vacuum canister lid when taking the vacuum off the station. It's typically a mistake you only make once, but the only minor flaw I found in this overall excellent setup. As far as features of the vacuum, the differences that set this Samsung stick vacuum apart are the various power levels combined with the tool options. I have not yet found something this vacuum doesn't do well. It pulls up pet hair from furniture, dirt from the wood floors, long teen hair from the bathroom tile. There are four levels of suction – min, mid, max, and jet. Each setting will have a different impact on the battery life, with the min setting lasting 45 minutes, and jet setting lasts approximately 20 minutes on a full charge. I love the jet suction level for the extensive amount of pet hair under furniture, cat litter stuck in wood floor joints, HVAC intake and vent cleaning, and getting up dirt clumps that the kids track in. Otherwise, I find that the mid level is sufficient for most day to day needs. Overall, this vacuum is versatile, it replaces my traditional HEPA bag vacuum due to how lightweight it is with still providing the necessary suction to tackle the full range of needs in my house. The suction levels, combined with the various accessory connection options means there isn't anything I have in this house, or the vehicles, that I have to use a different vacuum for. I highly recommend it to someone who needs the space saving of the cleaning station, the organization of the caddie, and the desire to only have one easy to use vacuum.EngineerMom

Reviews:
Just bought this yesterday and I can say for the time being I am impressed with how it made my carpets look. I have been using a Dyson that I bought 19 years ago and while it is true that the suction has never waivered, it can no longer get things out of the carpet as easily as it once did. It would often just spit the things behind and would take several rolls over it to actually pick it up. However when I would use just the hose, it still worked great. So here are the noticeable differences between my old Dyson and my new Shark: Pros: I love the light on the front of it so that you can really see what you are vacuuming up. Currently the suction is great and I could feel it really pulling at the carpets to get stuff up. It switches easily from carpet to hardwood floors and does great on both. My cats scatter litter all over my stone floor and it didn't hesitate to pick that up. When I did change to non carpet, I did notice that it is almost impossible to push on carpet anymore. The tiny head of the vacuum can get between a lot of things and can slide under things to a certain extent even getting under my coffee table who's lower section is only about 2 inches off the ground. Cons: It is a bit unwieldy when vacuuming carpet and I definitely felt sometimes like I had to fight it for control because it's easy swivel nature made it want to go it's own way. For someone who has had a standard push vacuum for years, this will just take some getting used to. But I definitely felt like my arms got a bit more of a workout trying to make it go where I wanted. The cord is shorter than the Dyson so I had to unplug and plug back in in several different places. Which might be a good thing because the unit was getting pretty hot. I can understand why people wrote that they had issues with items burning out. I am planning to vacuum in short bursts and let the machine cool down rather than vacuum my entire place at once. It also got a little unhappy when trying to vacuum area rugs. It doesn't seem to be a big fan of uneven carpet so my giant area rug with slightly raised swirls provided it a couple of hiccups. Overall I am happy with this purchase. Do I feel like it will have the staying power of my Dyson? Not really. But I would recommend at this time. We'll see if my opinion changes in the next few months…Jynnybyth
I have 3 cats, 2 Goldens, and a toddler so I vacuum every day. I love how fun our home is but I don't want it to look and smell like we have a ton of pets inside! In a vacuum, I look for quality, performance, and for my carpets to look and FEEL clean. My Dyson Animal Ball 2 was great for a while but even with meticulous maintenance, it bit the dust in 2 years after a slow decline which is the average I keep a vacuum around these days. Note: I am 5' 1'' and 120 lbs; the Dyson was also hard to carry upstairs and push so I was looking for something a bit easier on the body given how often I pull the vacuum out. After doing some research, I landed on the Shark Navigator NV586 to try something new. Pros: Not only is the Shark lighter in weight, but it is easier to navigate and push. I am more impressed with the Shark's performance on hard wood floors and tile (kitty litter doesn't stand a chance) than the Dyson as well. Some reviews thought the Dyson performed better on carpeting, but from my experience, the Shark is doing comparably well, if not better – it leaves clear vacuum lines and I can feel the difference on the carpet. I also appreciate the added features such as the brush roller notification system, the LED lights, the easy detach system for vacuuming stairs and hard-to-reach areas, the comfortable hard floor/carpet switch, and the easily connected attachments. This vacuum makes the chore of vacuuming my stairs significantly easier with less strain on my back and I especially appreciate the upholstery attachment for dining room chairs and couches. The bagless feature is a must in my vacuum and the canister is easy to detach, empty, and keep clean. With pets and a busy household, the Anti-Allergen Complete Seal and HEPA filters are making a positive difference, for sure. The filters are also accessible and easy to clean. Con: The Shark has a shorter cord than the Dyson, so I do have to move it when vacuuming. Also, the base is pretty light so if working with the detachment/wand feature, make sure the base is stabilized otherwise it will tip over. For the price and my needs, so far, I am very pleased with this vacuum. The real test will be to see how it performs after a year!akdogmom
I bought this vacuum to replace a Hoover pet specific vacuum that only last two years before it quick working. Upped my price range in hopes of a better tool – unfortunately every review of every vacuum is either overly negative or kind of okay. Decided to take a chance and this has been great. We've had it for over two months now with two long hair cats and a german shepherd. The suction is amazing, and also adjustable (definitely requires more push on carpet) – many folks complained about trying to use this on throw rugs, TBH I've not found a vacuum that does good with a small, not strongly weaved rug. Someone complained about hot air coming out the front? This has not been an issue, but literally all vacuums push out hot air. The lift away feature is great for stairs (really the only time I use it). There are two modes carpet/hard surface. I was skeptical of the hard surface with no brush roll, but honestly it's great. Overall I am satisfied with the job it does. Cleans way better than our previous vacuum.Emily

Reviews:
Pros: Nice and light and portable. Does not tip over like the standard Henry. Adequate on carpets with no pile using brush facility. Cons: Suction is appalling. No use if you have to Hoover a lot of animal hair, just blows hair about and redeposits it elsewhere. Battery life poor, one full battery is not sufficient for the downstairs of a small two up two down. Takes about 3 hours to charge, which is a long time considering the battery life. Metal tubing comes apart mid vacuum, which is annoying. Regret buying.Gilly
LOVE Henry/Harry!!! Friendly little chap with a FEROCIOUS appetite. He's the vacuum we should have purchased YEARS ago, instead of all those bagless, horrifyingly expensive uprights, promising to be all we needed to keep our home clean and quickly proving they just weren't up to the job. One of the most amazing points about Harry is that he doesn't blow "wet dog" odours back out as he vacuums. Now the carpets not only look spotless again but the rooms smell fresh thanks to his charcoal filter. The electric lead is really long and the dust bag is massive so, all in all, no need to keep stopping to find another socket to plug in to, rarely having to fit a new dust bag and no stopping to pull dog hair out of his special "fur" attachment, because he just keeps going.AMAZING!!!We've fallen in love with Harry. Thankyou. You've restored our faith in vacuum cleaners.iltrat-gbwnvqruj
Pros: Tube too long for me as I am short, but you can remove one piece of the metal tube to reduce length. British made. Previously had two small cheap (<£70) hepa 'Hoover' cylinder vacuums which funnily enough failed two months after warranty each time! Wanted new hoover to last much longer to be kinder to landfill (eco reasons) and it seems robust enough to last longer than 2-3 years, time will tell. There must be a reason why cleaners and builders routinely choose this brand!Great suction including large bits of kiddie-crumbs. Very long lead mitigates extra weight on stairs and less time changing plug sockets. Cons: Heavier than last vacuum (it'd be hard not to be, to be fair, as last ones were light). A bit cumbersome on stairs but long lead helps with that.L

Reviews:
I have hardwood floors and I simply want roomba to do a quick daily run on the high traffic areas (kitchen, high traffic passage/hall, and entrance). The whole area is roughly 800 sqf. I have change the settings to custom do that it does 1 run per area so that it's "as quick as possible", yet it takes about 1 hour to do 280 sqf, and that's if it doesn't get stuck. Every single day it manages to get stuck in the most stupid way possible. On the rare days it decides to do the entire job it also finds a way to screw up. As you can see in the attached picture, one day it decided it needed to clean my neighbor's house. So it happens that NY neighbor has the same iRobot model and we think somehow they were trying to get together for a good night out. The dumbest part of all? Now that route is permanently part of my map and the only way to erase it is to start from scratch again…. I can't believe the software doesn't allow for manual modifications to correct the dumbest "smart" appliance ever created. Another incredible aspect of this useless piece of junk is that it's built to run with the lights on. The camera that's on top of it, does not see well in darkness so you absolutely have to run roomba during the day of with the lights on!! Another annoying thing about this is that every 1 or 2 months it simply decides that it won't do the daily run for no apparent reason, so every time I have to press the clean bottom for 20 seconds to remind it that I actually do not like dog hair on the floors. Ling story short, do not buy this model. Even if you win it on a raffle, don't hesitate to give it away!!!! The sad part is that when it runs, it actually does a decent job on the hardwood floors. The thing is that it takes too long and only finishes about 2% of the job required. Like I mentioned before, my neighbor has the same model and he is equally as dissatisfied with it as I'm!Ricardo
I have had this robot for a year and it has been the worst purchase I've mad. The robot is completely infuriating. So let's start with the price – at the given price point I should be doing maintenance on this this only when brushes or bags need to be changed. It needs weekly cleaning and troubleshooting. The regular vacuum I purchased following this purchase (due to continued requests to return, and constant emails because this robot, has literally worked less than 9 times this entire year on command) requires me to empty it once a month with once a week use. The app is flaky at best and the robot almost never responds to it. Even though my virtual assistants can get it to at least make noise. Not to mention it's loud – all the time. Loud when emptying the bin, loud when running and loud when docking. The bin never empty's as designed so I always have to manually do it, with new bags old ones or anything. I thought it may have been clogged but my new vacuum pulled nothing. Operation is so infuriating, I can't stand to use this item that was supposed the make my life easier! The mapping is awful, and if you try to fix it to help the robot, you'll spend hours to discover that the adjustment only last as long as the robot doesn't run again! When the battery gets low, it never goes back to the base and because the battery is dead I have to search and find it. My smart home is set to turn the lights on when it's scheduled to o run, to help it "see", and it still manages to not be able to find its way back. To make matters worse, the lights were set to go off when the robot redocks – luckily they still went off after an the robot died. I could go on and on about the sink hole of money you will spend on accessories, and the time you will waist troubleshooting nothing, but I would say – just don't waist your money, spend it on a Dyson or Bissell!Shay
This is our first foray into the world of Robot vacuums and must say I personally am blown away by it. We have owned it for the last one month or so. We chose the S9+ iRobot Roomba since based on my research, it is the best robotic vacuum at this time. So far it has fit this bill perfectly. The installation was very simple and my daughter did it since she was so super excited about it that she would not wait up for me. So by the time I got to it, she had already installed it and kept it ready to go. We put in the laundry room and it does not take much space. We started the mapping run on day one of installation. It took a good 5-6 hours and we had a bit of doubt as to what exactly it was doing. But apparently this robot learns and now we have a daily schedule that vacuums the most frequently areas which it finishes in an hour and 10-12 mins like clock work. We have tiles on the first floor with carpet in two rooms. The vacuum switches from tile to carpet mode effortlessly. The vacuum’s suction (S9+ has the highest suction in current range of iRobot vaccums) seems just right. I am amazed at how the vacuum navigates itself through the maze in your house. The careful drive feature does work and it does not bump into objects. Also it seems to clean in areas that our usual vacuum does not reach. Although my wife would occasionally sweeps the floor to bring dirt from under normally stationary objects like sofa etc, it is not needed everyday. For the daily quick clean, make sure though that there are no dangling wires that may get entangled in the vacuum or any clothes. The vacuum can get stuck if there are clothes lying around. We do “clean everywhere “ deep clean on the weekends and that job finishes in about 5 years. If I had to suggest improvements, I would say somehow if they can make it more quieter in future, it would be awesome. Also I know this is asking too much, but if it can do stairs and go on second floor too. 🙂 Little bit regarding the Mop. We were debating whether we should buy the Vacuum and Mop combo but decided to go for it since Bestbuy was giving a nice discount on the combo during the Black Friday sale. The mop does a decent job, is very quiet and even tells you if you forget to fill the cleaning fluid. It takes a long time though so if anything, that is what I would ask for improvement. All in all, very happy with the purchase!AtulK

Reviews:
I have a Shark Navigator, gifted to me by my mother as a house warming gift. I've loved it for years but I was getting tired of giving my vacuum a "haircut" because of the bristles and I started to notice it wasnt sucking up all the fine granules from my carpet powder, leaving a gritty feeling. I was comparing other Shark models and decided on the Stratos. Here's my thoughts – Pros: -Powerful suction -3 settings – hard floor, carpet/low pile, and thick carpet/area rug -Easy press power button on handle -Brighter LED light -The power control and setting controls are on the handle, making transition between floor types and ending your cleaning session -Odor neutralizer is a cool feature, like a little febreze pack -Very good at picking up pet hair without kicking it back around or out (we have a cat and a dog) -Has powerfins and velvet roll, so it doesnt beat up hardwood floors and really does clear hair wrap (no more haircuts!) -The dust bin is much easier and less dirty; push down to release and back up to close the bin. No more grabbing the bottom of the bin over the trash to dump out -Gets right up to the baseboards -Wand and handle do not scratch my floors when moving it along perimeter of rugs or tight spaces Cons -A bit heavier than my previous Shark vacuum -Has a high pitched whine when running -LED light turns off when upright to use wand or handle (I liked this feature on my Navigator because I could get under dressers with the wand and still have it illuminated to see fine particles or dust) -Vacuum head is a bit clunky, doesnt get under small areas such as under dishwasher lip or bottom of counters; luckily the wand is about to do so Overall, this is a very good vaccum and has powerful suction. As a pet owner, it is perfect and is a big upgrade from my older Shark model. The odor neutralizer is a cool feature but not enough to make the switch if you already have one with the anti-hair wrap roller and/or power fins. But if you want something that is powerful, doesnt beat up your floors and can pick up even the smallest bits of dust dirt or pet hair, definitely make the upgrade to Stratos!ald915
The package I purchased includes the Upright vacuum, HairPro self-cleaning Pet Power Brush, duster crevice tool, upholstery tool, odor neutralizer cartridges, and a 5-year warranty. Pros: 1. Handle can be detached from the base to be used with the attachments. 2. Powered lift away where in we can detach the canister and use the vaccum like a stick vac is amazing. This helps us to reach high places like cleaning the dirt in the roof or fan blades while holding the canister in our hand. Also it is easy to vaccum the floor with the canister in the hand so that the vaccum doesn't feel heavy. Since I have back problem, I usually had issues in the past with Dyson Animal 2 vaccum as it felt very heavy and there is no way the canister can be detached. SHark has did an excellent job in fixing this problem which the other competitors have failed to fix. 3. Increased dust capacity of 1.48 quarts is a a big upgrade which helps us keep running the vaccum across the entire house without having to empty the canister multiple times. 4. Light – It is easy to clean under the table or furnitures or bed with the light on the rollers. My Dyson Animal 2 did not have this feature and i find this feature really helpful. 5. Completely Sealed technology combined with the HEPA filter which filters particles down to 0.3 microns which prevents the dust we vaccum from circulating in the house. 6. Duo clean head is a patentend brushroll that combines soft roller and a traditional roller into the same floor nozzle. 7. Ability to control the suction power on the handle – This is a unique feature for upright vaccum. I have seen this on some of my cordless vaccums that I had in the past. I like this feature as i can choose the suction power depending on how dirty the carpet/floors are. 8. Powered Pet tool attachment is small but powerful. It does pick up the human hair without being tangled. Which i am pretty sure will work for Pet hair too. Tests: 1. Cleaning the hair – I tested this by vaccuming the entire house. Stratos did an amazing job of picking up all the hair and left the carpet look very clean. When I turned the vaccum over i found almost no hair underneath. It came up pretty clean. This was not the case with my Dyson Animal 2 vaccum. I had to clean up the human hair every single time. If I clean it may be once in a month, the brush roll will stop spinning after an year or two and there will be loud sound from the vaccum. Stratos did not have any of those problems as there was no hair present in the brush roll which saves atleast 5 to 10 min every single time. This is a big deal for me and I love my Stratos just for this. Although it is recommended to eject the front soft roller and clean the stuff that gets stuck as part of regular maintenance. 2. Cleaning around the edges of the wall – The Stratos did an excellent job in picking up the smaller pieces of food that was present close to the wall without having to use the crevice tool. 3. Strongest suction of any upright vaccum in the market – I tested this by cleaning the particles stuck between cracks/gaps in the floor – Stratos was as strong as my Dyson Animal 2 in picking up the food particles stuck between the gaps in the floor or mat. I really love the powerful suction of Stratos. It does indeed have the strongest suction like Dyson. But not sure if they are both the same but i am pretty satisfied with the suction power of Stratos. 4. Cleaning under the furniture – Stratos is able to clean under the low-clearance furniture by removing the Powered Liftaway and using the head like a stick vac. I was able to cleani under the table that had around 8-inch clearance quite easily. One can even twist the handle to swivel the head in this mode. 5. Cleaning the cereals – This came up clean with few attempts especially the thicker cereals put up a bit of fight but there were no flying particles. The ejections did happen but it was minimal and i was happy that there were no flying particles. Suction is pretty impressive. 6. Cleaning the fan blades – Multi angle dust brush is my favorite. It helps to reach the fan blades by still maintaining the impressive suction. Unlike other vaccums where the dust flies around when cleaning the fan blades, this one did an excellent job of cleaning the fan blades with no dust flying around. Cons: There is only one con that i can think of which is the Odor Neutralizer. It did emit a clean and fresh smell while running the vaccum (unlike other vaccums) which is a plus but that smell was mixed with the usual vaccum exhaust smell. I would say the odor neutralizer works but does not really completely neutralizes the smell. I think Shark will be improvising on this in their future models.Nataraj
I have had several Shark vacuums over the years and have always had nothing but love for the Shark brand. This Shark corded stick vacuum does not disappoint and lives up to my expectations from such a reputable company. Out of the box it comes with all the necessary attachments you think you would need to keep a clean living space. Taking out all the attachments and the base I could tell that it was going to be a very lightweight appliance and fit my needs perfectly. It was simple and straightforward to assemble that I just quickly snapped together the primary base and suction home with one simple click. It comes equipped with a very long power cord that allows for optimal travel when cleaning without having to unplug numerous times in order to get the job done. It has a somewhat gimmicky odor neutralizer freshener that you simply plug in and twist to get the level of freshness that you desire. It does smell good and works as it should, but I say gimmicky because it is essentially a plug in air freshener attached to the vacuum to blow fresh smelling fragrance when in operation. I/m not knocking it by any means as it does work, just do not know for how long it lasts. Also coming with this vacuum is the furniture attachment and crevice cleaning tool. All easily attached with a simple click here, click there, and your off to go. What makes this vacuum great is the power you get from a corded vacuum but the light weight maneuverability of a cordless stick vacuum. This thing is very powerful and easy to clean with the clear snap dust canister. It has both a sponge filter, also easy to clean, and an aluminum mesh filter similar to a coffee filter. It has two settings for hard floors and carpet. When the setting is changed, it either activates or deactivates a second powerful fin brush for extra cleaning power. There is also a bright led light on the front but is not very useful because it only lights a small area directly in front of the vacuum. For me at least this was not a helpful feature because I usually clean in well lit areas. I do see it being useful if you are ab le to fit it under your furniture to clean. When not in use, this vacuum is pretty much self contained for easy storage. You are able to detach the suction base and sit on the vacuum floor base with a hidden slot. The hose tube has an attachment for the crevice tool and furniture tool. But then there is no place for the handheld vacuum base which was kind of a disappointment for me. It seems there is always that 1 tool that does not have a home for the self storage which ends up making that one piece easy to lose. Overall, other than the few minor short comings of storage and the gimmicky add ons, I feel this vacuum is a functional and worthy purchase for the home consumer. Very light weight, powerful, and versatile cleaning.Section8ght

I just moved into a new apartment and have saved up for this Dyson and it was the best decision I have made. My new place is a 2 bed/2 bath apartment with mostly hard floors and carpets in the bedroom. After going to Dyson’s website and taking their quiz. First, I have to suggest going through Dyson’s website to purchase and not through a 3rd party (Amazon, Target, etc). Dyson offers a price match, you are ensured a warranty, if you wish to get additional attachments, you can know you are getting the correct ones. Next, after know about what model and price point I needed, I was able to look at each machine and pick out the best that would work for me, my cleaning routine, and my home. My Dyson came with so many different attachments (included!!!) but the reason I chose this one was it had different heads for one for each type of flooring, carpet or hard floors. I can remove the wand to make the attachments handheld to clean my couch, add it and a soft bristle head to clean the walls and the top corners next to my ceiling. I could go on and on. This isn’t a vacuum… this has replaced so many different tools I used to clean and, above all, my favorite part, as new apartments can come some lingering bugs, I take the head off and can stay far enough away and still catch and dump the creepy-crawlies. It is my new bug killing machine. As I said, I could write a novel about how much I love this Dyson. It was worth every penny.heather.n
First of all; I have a DC33 for almost 10 years and it is still working excellent, I had repaired a minor cosmetic issue but this is a great tool from Dyson. I really appreciate the thoughtful design of these machines and everything that Dyson produces. This is an outstanding company. Now, we bought the V8 Absolute and we are even more impressed with such beautiful design, with such a great details and mostly with the efficiency of a Dyson. The quality of the VB-Absolute is visible and tangible; this is a great investment and a great tool to implement in our home. We can clean our vehicles and every single place inside our home, easily and more efficiently. We really appreciate such professional and outstanding company. Big thank you.Ellis
I got a V7 in Jan 2019. Initially, and for about 1.5 yrs., I thoroughly enjoyed it. Then my housecleaner told me a charge didn't last more than 10 mins. Because I have another plug-in vacuum, I didn't think much of it at the time. Then I hired another cleaner. She brought her own vacuum so it hasn't been used at all since Jan 2022. Just in the last week, I tried to use it and it only lasted about 30 seconds. I had a very good experience with the website and service person on the phone but I have been advised that a new battery is necessary. If that is correct, I must say that I am disappointed in Dyson. I expected better performance from their machine. For a machine that is 3 1/2 yrs. old and only used perhaps 2 years of that (and not solely because I have another machine), I think the battery should last longer. And, if the cost of the battery is 1/4 of the price of the machine, I think that is even more disappointing. And, it's the cost of the battery + shipping. My carpenter husband has battery powered tools, uses them consistently and has never had to replace a battery. That knowledge doesn't help me. Is it possible that the charging station is defective? At any rate, as much as I loved it in the beginning, I'm pretty unhappy at present. I recommended my vacuum to lots of friends at first but now, I would have to tell them the whole story and what to expect.Bren

Reviews:
So i normally dont leave reviews like this but i am so sad and somewhat disgusted by my last two shark purchases. I will start off by saying when i first received my duoclean i was in love and recommended it to everyone.. no one was allowed to touch it but me. The light on the wand was my favorite. I couldnt say enough good things about it. After having it a little over a year it started losing connection on the wand. I would blow it out with an air compressor and it would usually help. I even upgraded to a zero-m base with a self cleaning brush roll which made this machine even more amazing. Pretty soon the connection problem became more consistent and aftet a little over 3 years the base part of the machine (which later i found out was the wand connection) stopped working completely.. i decided to get another vacuum and decided on the vertex. In less than a year i was having connection problems and the fins on my brushroll were pretty much gone. I was having to duct tape the wand to the base so it isnt loose. I called for help and tbey told me to replace the wand to fix the connection problem. When i asked about the base with all the fins gone on my brushroll he told me i would have to replace the entire base and couldnt just replace the brush. I remind you…i had had this vacuum less than a year. I may as well just buy a whole new vaccum! So i have opted for my duct tape method which has been inconvenient but works. I have now only had a year and half and may as well throw it in the garbage. And now have to spend money on yet another vacuum.. I am drawn to shark because i love that its lightweight and the lift away is awesome. But im not rich and cant afford to be buying a vaccum every year or 2. I wish shark would stand behind their products and cover major parts for at least a year or maybe find out why they are having connection issues. I am disgusted and embarrassed that i have recommended these products to so many people who have went out and bought them. I hope they dont have the same problems i have. I wrote this review in hopes that someone from shark would contact me and make things good. Only time will tell. But in the mean time i am in need of a working vacuum that is not a sharkJenny
Best vacuum ever. Dogs, dust, dirt, multi surfaces no problem! Living on a ranch there is dust, dirt, work boots and cow dogs. A mile down a dirt road, surrounded by orchards and cattle, there is a year round rotation of spraying, shaking trees, sweeping nuts, and cow work. I was using three different reputable vacuums to try to get my floors tolerable, including the shop vac I "borrowed" from the barn. I had given up on clean. I was actually starting to feel depressed, especially about the carpet, and thinking I was just going to have to replace it in three rooms. I hated to have people over for them to see it. One midnight infomercial and free shipping later and every person who has been over has commented on how clean the house is. The only change in routine is the Shark Vertex vacuum. One pass over the floor with the Shark Vertex and my hard wood floor felt clean, not just dog hair and dust up, but no grit and shiny with the microfiber. The carpet in the bedrooms has been transformed, I knew there was residual dust/dander left behind by the three vacuums I was using, but nothing prepared me for what the Vertex pulled out. All the hours and passes with multiple vacuums and the Vertex was like magic. Chinchilla tossing his bathing dust everywhere, the Vertex microfiber leaves the wood floor polished. The house feels cleaner, even the air seems like it has less residual dust. If you live on a ranch you know what I mean. Tools and attachments are all easy to use. Canister is easy to empty and put back on. I wasn't expecting it to drive itself, there is no effort to move it forward. My house will never be perfect, but I finally feel like my efforts to clean it work. I am no longer embarrassed to have my revolving ranch door open to everyone.Bonner
Purchased vacuum at the end of 2020. I have only owned this vacuum for a little over 2 years and will need to replace the floor unit a second time. This might be a yearly replacement. I have long hair and have two doodle dogs. So I vacuum probably 3 to 4 times a week. At first I really liked this vacuum. It cleaned hard floors and carpet well but around 8 months of use I started to smell a melting/burning plastic smell while using. Eventually the main roller stopped spinning. I wasn't sure why I would be having that issue since I cleaned the filters often (have extra so that I don't have to wait for filters to dry) and cleaned out both rollers after each use. Shark replaced that floor unit since it had been less than a year of owning it. After using the replacement floor unit for less than a year it is now having that melting/burning plastic smell. Not sure if there is a warranty on the replacement parts but I guess I will find out once this current floor unit stops spinning. Shark didn't ask for the old floor unit back so I decided to open it and see what the issue was. It turns out that hair was getting trapped around the bearing for the main roller. There is no way to clean this and is a poor design. The images attached show the main roller bearing gets hair trapped by it and will eventually melt the components around it until the roller doesn't spin. I wish I would of taken a picture before/after removing the bearing cover so that I could show that could show packed in that hair was.Alice90

Reviews:
This vacuum is light weight and easy to use EXCEPT the on button is just above the button that opens the dirt container . Every time I vacuum, by accident, I open the dirt container and dirt goes everywhere! Its a mess! This happened to a couple people who tried to help me as well. What a horrible design error!!! Plus the dirt container is very small and needs to be emptied often…unless you vacuum with it open!! I purchased it because my health is failing and I needed something lightweight and easy to use.. Also the main opening in the floor portion totally plugs and the entire bottom piece needs to be taken apart and you need a bottle brush or a something long enough to push the plug of dust or whatever out of the elbow (which you can straighten). Its not difficult, but annoying and messy as well. I would never recommend this vacuum to anyone, its too much work and too much money for the horrible design. I would send it back, but its been way too long.pattysev
I love Shark products. I have been waiting for the TSV and for this vac to be back in stock. I purchased rose gold, blends well with a neutral palate. I still use my original upright Shark vacuum purchased from QVC (10 years) which is a beast at cleaning my tile, wood and carpet floors. I use a robot vac for 1/3 of my floors that are not heavily traveled. The top of the line name brand R- robo vact does a ok job, but it takes a long time and I needed a stick/handheld vac which I could use for small jobs in the kitchen, sunroom and run it over high traffic areas daily. It is quick and picks up well. It has a swivel head and lies down to get back and under furniture. The battery life last and I have never had trouble having is run out. This device is not a replacement for a quality upright vacuum. Nothing is. This vac is for small jobs, daily floor maintenance and I love it. You are able to buy a replacement battery from Shark if needed and I love that too. So many stick vacs end their battery life and you cant easily replace the battery. Not the case here, so this device will last a long time. The hand vac is handy (HaHa) for crevasse's, corners, and I have used the pet tool on my sofa and it does a great job with dog fur. The filter needs to be changed sometimes during a job based on how much stuff it has vacuumed up. I have not cleaned it yet, the manufacturer says to clean the filter monthly. Recommend this vacuum to help maintain clean floors especially in high traffic area and recommend it for any busy household.medicinewoman
I have had this for about a month now and I do have some things to say about it. First off, the pros: Very east to use and set up. I can't tell you how nice it is to just pick this up and use it WITHOUT having to plug it in. Just pick it up and go. I love how east it is to take the top part off for when I have to get under areas the vaccum can't. I love how easy it is to empty the vacuum out. Simply press a button and release the dirt. No dust flying everywhere. Cons- The battery life is atrocious. I can't vacuum my 1200 sq home all the way without it dying. It is very annoying when you are all set on cleaning and getting it done quick and then to have the battery die and wait an hour or more before it charges back up. The dust area is very small. Some people may love this, because the don't want dust flying everywhere, and I love that to, however, the area is so small that after just a little vacuuming, the vacuum suck is really bad and you have to dump the dust. The last thing is, the add ons for the hand part of the vacuum does not connect to the body of the vacuum, so you have to hold them in your hand, pocket or walk over to the charging station and grab it. Minor annoyance but felt like it needed to be said. Overall, a great vacuum for small areas and little cleanups for everyday use, not great for a big clean day.HugeMunchkin

Reviews:
How quiet is this vacuum? I'll tell you. When I first moved into my condo, I was stunned at how well I could hear the vacuums of my downstairs and next-door neighbors, which meant that they would also be disturbed by my noisy vacuum as well. But from upstairs, I never heard a vacuum; all I could hear was an occasional gentle swishing that sounded like somebody was using an old-fashioned carpet sweeper, which I thought was unlikely, as they had a dog who shed a lot. I later became friends with those neighbors and started swapping pet-sitting duties with them when either of us would go out of town. That was when I discovered that the reason I never heard a vacuum from up there was because they owned a Miele canister vacuum. I would often use that Miele to vacuum up their dog's hair so they could come home to clean floors after a long trip, and I came to love that almost silent and easily-maneuverable canister powerhouse. I envied them having that Miele, but at the time, I had only recently (and regretfully) purchased a noisy and annoying upright vacuum, so I couldn't justify investing in a Miele so soon after buying the upright. But it didn't take long for me to lose patience with my vacuum, failing to see the point in its HEPA filter when you have to empty the dust receptacle after every cleaning, which then releases a certain amount of dust right back into the environment. It may seem handy that those types of bagless vacuums have parts that can be dismantled, removed and washed, but the downside is that those parts HAVE to be thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis to maintain their efficacy, which is a dirty, dusty and annoying undertaking. So, I finally chucked the upright and treated myself to this Miele model, and I couldn't be happier. It provides an extremely effective clean and requires no more than removing and disposing of a filled bag and inserting a new bag. Worth every penny!Willabella1023
When I purchased this vacuum, it was the best, most powerful vacuum I have every owned. However, after having only used it 8-10 times, it broke. The floorbrush stopped working. I called Miele and was shocked when they refused to honor their manufacturer warranty because it was not purchased at a Miele store. When I called the Miele store in my area for advice about the vacuum they stated that Miele products do not work well if you have pets. (they even said the pet vacuum they sell does not handle fur either) I was surprised by this but appreciated their honesty. Long story short, if you have pets and/or carpet this is not the vacuum for you. If you think you might ever need help with a part or need the assistance of their customer service dept, this is not the company for you. I sent a complaint to the better business bureau about them and sadly, found myself in good company with numerous other complaints about them. The Better Business Bureau rates them an F. It doesn't get any worse than that folks. Buyer Beware!melissa
If you like using a canister vacuum or are thinking of getting rid of a heavy upright or other vacuum, then this is the one to purchase if it meets your cleaning needs. I've had other much more expensive Miele canister models in the past with more bells and whistles, but as far as suction goes, every Miele canister vacuum has the same motor. I found this particular Miele model was the lightest and smallest Miele canister vacuum I've used making it extremely easy to operate and store and pull out whenever I need it for even the smallest of messes. I've done a ton of research on many brands and many different Miele models before making this purchase. When choosing the correct Miele canister vacuum it is all about your home and your cleaning needs. This model is perfect for hardwood floors and low-pile to mid-pile carpeting/rugs and everything above the floor. I'm pleasantly surprised how well the air driven turbo carpet nozzle cleans and how easy and light it is to push around on area rugs and wall-to-wall carpeting. Although the turbo nozzle isn't as wide as an electric power nozzle or upright vacuum's cleaning path, the turbo nozzle also has a great benefit of allowing it to reach in tight places like between chairs under beds and in-between many tight places and furniture. I recommend opening the air flow valve on top of the turbo nozzle and setting the motor speed dial on the canister NOT to the highest level when using the turbo nozzle on carpets and rugs. I have a cat and with these settings, the turbo nozzle really does a great job of picking up dirt and cat hair on my carpets & rugs and with minimal pushing and pulling effort on my part. For bare floor cleaning, use the included bare floor tool with the motor speed dial on the canister to the highest level. I find this Miele canister vacuum model is extremely easy to operate and works well if you use the correct settings. It is true that an electric powered carpet nozzle offered on other higher-end more expensive Miele canisters might work better for certain jobs, but with low-pile and mid-pile carpets like the ones I have and living in a relatively small home, this model is perfect choice for us and cleans extremely well. Also keep in mind that Miele models with the electric power nozzle have much heavier hoses, heavier hose handles that are awkward for above the floor cleaning/dusting, heavier carpet nozzles, and heavier wands that make cleaning more difficult because of the weight (especially when cleaning above the floor or carrying the vacuum to multiple floors). You will not have weight issues with this model. The only cons I have for this model is that even though it is a lower-end Miele canister with less bells and whistles than other Miele canister models is that it is still a Miele and it is kind of expensive, however you do get what you pay for and that is quality I can feel with every use and hopefully this quality will last for years (I believe the motor has a 7 year warranty from Miele). Also, the cord could be longer, the bags could be bigger and less expensive (however, I would never go with a bagless vacuum again because of the mess and dust seeping back into the air. Miele bags are of the highest quality), and it would be nice if the tools had a place for storage inside the canister, but this might make the weight of the vacuum heavier so I can easily live without on-board tool storage. Overall, I've tried and owned many other types of vacuums including bagged and bagless uprights / canisters with and without electric power nozzles, stick vacuums, and a central vacuum that was built into a house I once owned. By far, this has been the lightest and easiest to use vacuum I've owned and it far exceeds all of my cleaning needs and the canister is totally sealed locking in all of the dust and allergens (A sealed Miele is really terrific if you have allergies or don't want dust to resettle on your furniture after cleaning). At one time all Miele vacuums were made and assembled in Germany and that always meant great quality. Although this model is assembled in China, parts and design are from Germany. If you have multiple pets, a large home, lots and lots of wall-to-wall carpeting, and carpeting that is shag or high-pile, then this Miele model may not be for you…Rusty B

Reviews:
With our dog and our new baby all over the floor, we were getting much more worried about fur everywhere. I have a very good vacuum and hand vac already, but the vacuum is heavy and cumbersome and my back is not built for vacuuming the floor with a hand vac. This vacuum was a perfect addition to our home because it is light weight and portable, like the love child of the two vacuums we already had. It is also quiet, so I can vacuum the baby's arena everyday while she naps without waking her up. I feel silly since this in addition to so many other vacuums, but I didn't have the energy to pull out the big one on a daily basis, especially trying to get under furniture and plugging it into different outlets to reach the whole house. My Bissell is not as powerful, but I use it daily so the fur doesn't accumulate and it is better for our lifestyle. And since it has the hand vac attachment, I could have bought just this one instead of my previous two. Oops! Highly recommend, would buy again in a heartbeat. It's also easy to empty/clean and gets under furniture really well.Michelle
I greeted the Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum with curious skepticism. Having used several vacuums in the past I knew the benefits and drawbacks of corded and cordless vacuums. I tried a Eureka cordless vacuum in the past and the battery took over 12 hours to charge for just 15-20 minutes of vacuuming power, with the suction power being extremely light. I also had a cordless vacuum by Puweike which constantly fell down because I didn't mount the stand against the wall as I had mostly dry wall in my place. I prefer cordless vacuums because even though the corded vacuums owned by Hoover and Oreck offer more power, they are a pain to move from room to room due to having to constantly disconnect and reconnect the cord. The Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum addressed all of these concerns and offered some unexpected surprises. This vacuum took less than one minute to assemble with only two parts to put together. I only had to charge the battery for four hours until it was ready to use. Upon charging it, I noticed the vacuum stands upright, so there is no need to add any mounted stand to the wall as it can be stored anywhere. I also love that I could turn on the brush roll on carpet and off on the hardwood to prevent scratching. The suction is extremely powerful to pick up even the smallest crumbs and I couldn't believe how easy it is to maneuver with the handle folding to get under the sofa. There is a huge bonus to this vacuum as well with the detachable middle which becomes a handheld vacuum for sofas and chairs. Another bonus is the brush and crevice tool for corners and upholstery. The dirt bin is so easy to empty and put back in the vacuum as well. I would recommend the Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum to all my friends and family. Owning this cordless vacuum is a delight in every way possible.Andy
This lightweight cordless vacuum is exactly what I needed. I have a good sized 1 bedroom apartment that I share with a cat. A few rooms have area rugs and the rest is all vinyl flooring. I am constantly fighting a battle against cat hair, litter particles, and dust. And losing, until now. This is a dream on my vinyl floors and low pile rugs. I have a large thick pile rug in the living room that this does not work so well on. The suction makes it hard to use when going against the grain of the rug so I use it everywhere else and get the old vac out for that one spot. It’s what I intended to do anyway so I didn’t take off a star. I think it’s swivel makes maneuverability fantastic. The battery works great, assembly was quick and super easy, it’s small and sits upright in a corner charging. It came with three handy attachments for with using the hand vac. The cord isn’t too long or too short. It’s just right for my needs. I am so impressed with this vacuum and happy with my purchase.MelissaV

The CrossWave X7 Cordless Pet Pro it is perfect for everyday messes and though ones too. Being a mom of 2 toddlers and dog mom of 2 dogs having a wet and dry vacuum takes a load of my shoulders saving me from the need of having too many gadgets for cleaning. Vacuum comes with a wet and dry function that helps through deep clean and also on the spot dirt. Bissel products has a differential in their vacuum by adding LED lights which is a big plus helping to find fur and other debris otherwise not visible without it. The CrossWave has 3 functions: Hardwood floor, Small rug area and Pet turbo clean. So it can be use anywhere in the house. I had the chance to use the 3 of them and could see the difference in cleaning, as well helping to save battery life. Now talking a bit more about the wet function, the ergonomic handle has a trigger that when pressed sprays water helping to clean even more of your house and can be used on all 3 modes mentioned before. The assembly was easy and although the first couple times I had look back at the manual, eventually I got the hand of it. The product isn't very light, but the wheels helps to maneuver with ease. Cleaning the parts was very surprising for me, as I confess I'm not the kind of person who does maintenance o in vacuum, because most of the times it is difficult to take apart, but not with the CrossWave, everything is so easy to clean and take apart that it became natural to do so after each cleaning. Another shout out is for the auto clean function which helps with better functionality eliminating any dirt that might be trapped in the tube. The box comes with two brushes and two cleaning solution, which is necessary for effective cleaning. Last but not least, different from other vacuum that the base charger needs to be mounted on the wall this one does not which simplifies my busy life. I received this wet-dry vacuum from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
As a mom of three, and dog owner, I was absolutely ecstatic to learn I was selected to review the CrossWave X7 Cordless Pet Pro vacuum through the Stellar Review Testing Panel. Everyday messes are definitely a regular occurrence in our home, and I'm usually left with three options: Lug out the large vacuum, and haul it from room-to-room, changing outlets every few minutes; hunch over with my dust-buster for 20 minutes (which is not kind to my neck and back); or leave the mess until later. As a neat-freak, the latter of the options is never my favorite, and I'm generally left either killing 20-30 minutes when I could be doing something more productive on top of becoming frustrated and left with a stiff neck. So, needless to say, when the option for a cordless stick vacuum (dedicated towards pets and kids), I was like a kid at Christmas. I love this product! The three settings make it easy to switch between our hardwood floors, area rugs, and there's a turbo setting that is great at getting those stubborn areas that can really use some extra attention. The product is lightweight, holds a charge (I can vacuum our entire home easily on one charge), and I've found it's a great alternative to throwing my rugs in the washing machine. We have quite a few area rugs throughout our home (all washable due to kids / pets), which is great – but they are a hassle to wash / dry, lay down properly after-the-fact. With the wet / dry function on the CrossWave, I can literally run the vacuum over my area rugs for 1-2 minutes, and when done, they look like they've just been washed. Pet hair, cereal, everyday messes are easy to clean up, and the product is easy to charge / set-up and use. If I had to review any negatives, it would be two features. First, hard to reach places (under furniture, and particularly stairs), aren't the easiest to clean. Second, the instructions point out to clean after every use (highly recommend or I've found there is an odor with use).designgal78
Just to start off this is a fantastic product. We bought some appliances so we got $400 best buy gift cards and i had a $55 certificate from best buy(which the online guy that was supposed to help us never applied still a lottle mad about that and its expired now but whatever). Did some research it was between this and the Tineco floor one S5 but we ended going with this because we do have a few rooms with carpets. The pros: .It can clean our house (roughly 2,000 sq ft) on one charge. .That turbo mode is WOW!! .Easy to maintain and clean .Very lightweight .it makes cleaning so much faster The cons: .Maybe its the formula we are using but it is extremely soapy but started using less and it works much better. .it doesnt get the carpets the best( we know ots for area rugs) but on turbo mode it will do a room full of carpet just wont pick up too much of the water but man does it pock up some stuff! .the dirty tank gets full quick The 4 star is mainly for the price of it it is a lot of money for what you get, but honestly we have no Rugrets not even one letter! We are going to order the brush specifically made for carpets and try that out and see how that works and also some little tips. . Run the clean cycle after every use . After you are done cleaning and ran the cycle and cleaned your equipment take off the roller and put it in the holder to let it dry .once a week (i tried doing it every day but its too much) do a nice deep clean of your machine if you take care of it, it will take care of you.Ivan

Reviews:
I love every Shark product I've owned or gifted to someone else so had high expectations for this stick vac. I have been searching for a good robot vacuum for quite a long time since I'm unable to manage heavy vacuuming any more but none of the independent review articles give high marks to a robot that fits my needs so I turned to light stick vacs for a solution. I love this product. It meets my high expectations for a Shark and with daily 10 minute use on high traffic areas I can keep up with shedding from my medium haired cat in the carpet. The cord is long enough to cover the area and at my age, a cord doesn't bother me at all. The unit and accessories are stored in a closet without an outlet so a cordless vac isn't practical for me. If I have any criticism it's the size of the canister. One does have to take into account the reason I made this purchase, a super lightweight vac to clean cat hair from my carpet, and it makes perfect sense. I simply attach a small trash bag to carry with me in case I need to empty the canister.Shelley
Easy to carry, lightweight. I really do love this vaccum. It has pulled up a lot of dirt and hair from the carpets my rainbow couldn't pick up. I mainly have hard wood floors throughout my house now, with 1 carpeted area and a couple rugs. It's been very handy and picks up a lot. Cons: It lost suction after a year because the tube in the main basehead had cracked with normal use. Customer service could only offer to sell me the main basehead for over 75% of what I paid for the vacuum. This particular part, the tube; is not listed on Shark's website as a "wearable part" nor available. So I wonder why it is not covered by the 5 year limited warrenty? This is the main complaint I have read about that has happend to many others who also purchased the Shark Rocket. I had to do some searching for a tube replacement and we finally found one, then replaced it ourselves. If you do buy this vaccum, I would reccomend paying for extra coverage from the store purchase at as the 5 year limited warrenty is usless for this particular part and issue.Asp84
My husband bought this Shark Rocket for me in hopes of replacing my Dyson Animal with something lighter for quick, daily vacuuming, but it’s not up to the task. First of all, though the Rocket isn’t as big or as heavy as my old vacuum, all of its weight is at the top; the dust bin and motor are connected to the hand-hold, which means my wrist and hand have to support the bulk of its weight. Because the weight isn’t distributed, the small brush is unwieldy – too light to easily control regardless of how much pressure I attempt to push it with. I’m not a weakling, lol, but my arm gets tired FAST. Secondly, there is no way to turn off the roller brush and use just suction on hard surfaces. I have to move really slowly in sweeping the hardwoods, or else the Shark spits crumbs and other debris out the back. Moving slowly = holding the heavy motor/dust bin/handle for longer = even more tired hand/wrist/shoulder. Speaking of the roller brush, it clogs with dog hair and stops rolling after ONE pass over the 5×7 area rug in our seating area; I have to turn off the vacuum and cut the hair from the brush at least four times just in sweeping the one rug (we have two dogs, but I sweep every day, so I’m not asking it to vacuum a week’s worth of hair at once). It’s VERY frustrating. More negatives about this Shark Rocket: 1. It doesn’t stand on its own. If I need to stop sweeping in the middle of the job for any reason, I have to lay the vacuum on the floor, or prop it up against a piece of furniture. I still haven’t figured out how to store it. 2. The cord is also attached to the handle, and gets in the way of dumping the dust bin. 3. The attachments are difficult to use because they attach to the motor/dust bin/handle piece either directly or via a 12” hose, meaning I have to continue to hold the heaviest part of the vacuum while trying to manipulate the tools. 4. Though the brush part of the vacuum is small enough to adequately sweep the carpeted steps, I have to either lift the whole thing up, turn it backwards, and dangle the brush in front of the risers, or fight with the inconvenient and unwieldy attachments to get those areas. I’d say it takes twice as long for me to sweep using this than it does the old, clunky Dyson – definitely not making my life easier. I actually hate this vacuum, and would have returned it after the first use had my husband not thrown out the box it came on. Two hundred bucks for this useless thing.OhioMichelle

Reviews:
It sucks up more dirt even after I’ve vacuumed with my Shark! Now I’m finally able to shampoo my carpet without accumulating dust bunnies in my shampooer. It even works great on my kitchen floor. Best vacuum I’ve owned due to its lightweight material and excellent performance. It sucks up pet hair and long hair without getting tangled in the vacuum. It can reach and turn in a wide range of directions. The only down sides are that its power trigger must be held at all times to keep the power on. However, you can buy an attachment on Amazon to keep the power on without having to hold the trigger. Also, for some reason, I can’t consistently easily detach the canister from the wand. Might take practice. It has user friendly and simple instructions to get started. Cordless is the way to go! Note I haven’t used any of the accessories yet except for a pet hair groomer that I bought separately and that worked great.Christina
Owned homes for 45 years, probably as many vacs, because I'd buy new ones because the newest and greatest latest vacs weren't so great! Years ago I tried Dyson and Shark. Shark destroyed my rug. When I tried Dyson- the Upright Animal, I knew that was it, my search was over. I added the Upright Compact When the Stick came out- that was it! NO MORE CORDS! I still have the Uprights, but they're barely used, though still working fantastically. I'll pass them on to someone. BUT THE STICK IS AMAZING. I can do my entire 4 level split SINGLE multi room-4 bed, 3 bath, playroom, basement, fam and liv room, sunroom, with various types of flooring: area rugs, hardwood, slate, LVPlanks, tile, and animals, grandchildren,. I've never run out of battery, I use low or medium, mostly medium. . My first V10 was $700. It was worth it, by the time I bought a vac every year or 2, the cost was as much as the Dyson, and they weren't the power nor built as well- those awful belts, bags, etc., constantly taking part for hair, string, removal. If you're on the fence, or deciding between this and the V8 at $50 less(though still a good vac), this is the better deal at $150 off with larger bin, better suction, 3 speed modes, battery status. I'm buying a second at this price!!!skittles2
Pros: Lightweight and very easy to manoeuvre. Small enough to store away easily, replaced my 10 year old dyson, was unsure if it would be powerful enough going from a corded to cordless, not disappointed! Great suction, 3 settings if you want to preserve battery charge. Very good all round, brought as a hoover for car/caravan with a view to maybe fully replace old dyson if good enough. More than good enough for the smaller home as a full charge is about 20 mins run on medium setting. Recommended Cons: Length of charge may not be suited to larger homes or looking to deep clean on high setting (you really won't need to often setting 2 is plenty for general day to day vacuuming) worth pointing out a full charge on high setting lasts 6 mins! Again more than enough for day to day users or for a quick whizz around. To use it it has a trigger (like a lawn mower and hold down), which not an issue for me but may hinder if you have mobility issues. Not really a big deal but when picking the unit up you also grab the trigger inadvertently and start the machine 🙂Jessica
